Point of Focus (Haru/Isaac)

There were two reasons Haru had chosen for her and Tawna to practice out here in the Network Plains… One, it was HUGE and the chances of anyone being disturbed by perhaps the pair’s commotion. Two, if something were to happen… there was plenty of room to go all-out.
Under the moonlight of the Digital World’s night sky, a rather interesting sight could be perhaps seen… The tall, monstrous shape of a Raguelmon looming with in the gentle darkness of the plains, meditating as the bestial angel Digimon’s eyes were shut… softly chanting words in a tongue that was foreign to most. On the angelic Digimon’s back was a girl garbed in a blue dress, attempting to parrot the Raguelmon’s words as she also was trying her best to follow along. Somewhat based off the teachings from one particularly wise Renamon, the two were in their own way challenging themselves.
While not one for one at all, there was a strange sense of synchronicity between the human and Digimon… Both had the same posture, and their breathing was slow and similarly-paced. While they both were inert, this was proving to be more taxing for both Haru and Tawna, more so than they would have either expected. This was not rest… but a test to see how much they could sync up, pushing how far Haru could help sustain the Mega level’s form. Haru herself felt… floaty, unfamiliar feelings in her. Strange enough, the fact that she could almost feel Tawna experiencing the same was surreal to say the least.
Not terribly far from the pair was a black-furred lapine Digimon sitting by a rock, Haru’s backpack by her side. The BlackLunamon was sitting on her back, legs(?) kicked back and folded as she was attempting to nap… unfortunately for her, she was more a night person anyway. The Rookie level sat up, giving the two a judgemental look before pinching her forehead… “Hey, boss! When are we gonna stop sittin' around now and bail dis joint, or what? I'm bawhed!”
Haru actually managed to stir a bit, a mild headache that had previously been numbed returning to her… but then again, she has been helping to keep Tawna in their Mega level for least four hours now! It was a record for them, but certainly was stressful for her mentally. She took a deep breath to soothe her nerves, Tawna seemingly awakening as well. ”Not rushin’ this… We can definitely go longer Medea.” she ended up calling down to the childish rabbit. This entire deal was practice… the longer and easier they could hold Mega, the better. Who knows when they’d need to actually unleash Raguelmon’s power in a real fight? Better safe than sorry...

Haru would find that she wasn't the only one training in the middle of the plains today. A MetalGreymon came stomping over the horizon, each footstep slow and pensive. It was less like it was rampaging, as one might be willing to assume when a putrefied looking cybernetic dinosaur came bursting onto the scene, and more like it was trying to find its way in an unfamiliar environment. Considering how simple the Plains were to navigate, and the fact that they were right outside of the Digital World's largest city, it was honestly a really strange sight. Only the deepest Dark Area Digimon and most sheltered of Luminas' residents didn't know the plains!
Clearly, the MetalGreymon found it strange too, judging by the slight muttering he was doing under his breath. From his distance from Haru it would be near inaudible, but perhaps someone with very good hearing would be able to make it out. "Seriously?" he asked, disbelief palpable in his voice. "You don't even remember this? We really have a lot of work ahead of us then, huh?"
Eventually, the MetalGreymon stopped in a nice, isolated portion of the plains, seemingly not noticing Team Haru's intensive training there. Whereas she was pursuing the meditative arts, he had picked something a lot more . . . simple. Namely, he scooped up a nearby rock in his metallic claw, felt the heft of it, and hurled it skywards. Once he did, he fired a large red laser at the rock, searing it to ashes that fell atop the plains.
"Okay," he said. "So you have the whole attacking thing down to a science. Guess Iko was right that the rest of your mind got wiped. God, that's gotta suck. But at least you'll make training a breeze."
And so, with that said, the MetalGreymon continued. Pick up a rock, then blast it out of the sky. Sometimes he tried to feint himself, pretending to throw the rock and seeing how quickly he could stop himself from firing the beam. Sometimes he crossed it up, throwing the rock in a direction besides straight up. At one point the hatches on his chest swung open, the MetalGreymon quickly having to depower itself so it didn't end up launching missiles across the countryside. It was certainly rather chaotic, by the standards of a lone Digimon training itself, but clearly it was of enough importance to demand the MetalGreymon's attention.

While there was a pause between the Mega level and her partner's mutual meditation, both Haru and Tawna's session wouldn't be re-enacted for long... the party noticing quite easily the highly-noticeable streak of energy that coursed through the sky, disintegrating what appeared to have been a stone hurled into the sky. The resulting sound of the explosion was enough to cause everyone to flinch mildly, they looking onward at the destruction in the sky.
"De hell was dat?! Some kind of crappy New Year's display or somethin?!" Medea sat up from her spot, a look of horror on the lapine's face... all things considered, what the hell did that just now? This rabbit didn't sign up for this kinda shit!
Haru admittingly was not as frightened, but there was still cause for alarm... Whatver could have launched that attack couldn't have been a weak Digimon with how cleanly it turned that boulder to dust. Giving her partner a hesitant glance, the two seemed to come to the same conclusion... The Raguelmon managing to stand up as they delicately picked up Medea and placed them on her shoulder with Haru.
On Isaac's end, depending how aware he was of the group's presence he might have noticed that there at least seemed to be someone else here in the plains... but their presence wouldn't be solidified until one pivotal moment. One particular stone hurled into the air wouldn't have met it's end by the MetalGreymon's laser... but by a series of dark arrows that pierced through the boulder like swiss cheese first, it's data evaporating as it seemed to corrode away in a matter of seconds. It wouldn't have been hard to identify the direction the attack came from, the visage of the towering cat angel off in the distance... slowly, but surely walking towards the Ultimate level. Two large Digimon out in the middle of the Network Plains... certainly an odd sight.
"High-impact ranged weaponry. Personally, I fancy myself more the shred, tear, maybe devour type... but hey, different strokes for different folks." the Raguelmon casually called out, crossing their arms as they approached the cyborg reptile... an almost curious look in the angelic Digimon's emerald eyes, human and BlackLunamon on their left shoulder. She wasn't much for small conversation, but this guy looked interesting to say the least... not nearly as savage as his appearance suggested at a glance. "... Oy. So whats with the target practice anyway?"
It didn't look like a fight was going to break out, but Tawna was prepared for if things got ugly. Still... she wasn't one to judge books by their covers... that would have been hypocritical after all.

Considering NeoDevimon's fits of paranoia, Isaac tensed up and expected the worst as soon as a hail of arrows demolished one of his training boudlers. However, much to his surprise, MetalGreymon took the interruption far better than his counterpart did. Isaac sighed internally, relieved that he didn't have to deal with such an overtuned fight-or-flight reflex today, before turning to see the source of the attack. Frankly, the data in the air from that one attack was giving power readings that were off of the charts. Isaac knew it'd be best not to mess with them, and for that reason made sure his posture was relaxed and non-aggressive.
"Shredding's not so bad, either," Isaac said, a smirk spreading across his face as he revved up his mechanical arm. Wait, he could do that? It was too late to question, because his claws vibrated like an automatic razor built for a giant. "But there's nothing like a good bit of fireworks. Especially when you can blast a moving target from halfway across the Plains." Did that really count if you were the one throwing the moving target in the first place? Isaac didn't care. The posturing had already begun, and there was no turning it off now!
"As for why the target practice, this here's a new form of mine. So I figured I'd stop and see what it could do." Congratulations, Isaac! For once, you actually thought things through instead of leaping headfirst into danger! Truly you are covering new ground here. "So far? I'm liking what I see. And clearly it's getting attention," he added.
"My name's Isaac, by the way," he said, extending a mechanized hand in greeting before realizing his mistake and switching to his organic one. "Pleased to meet you. So, what brings you three to the middle of nowhere?"

Surprisingly for a decaying cyborg dinosaur, the virus Metal Greymon seemed to take the interruption quite well to their session of target practice quite well. The Raguelmon let out a low chuckle, at least amused at least at their attitude. "Heh. I can get down with that... Personally, I'd have assumed you would be more a close-range fighter at a glance, though you certainly look like you can still give one hell of an arm wrestle if you wanted to." the Mega level idly commented, reaching for her shoulders as she allowed for both Haru and Medea to climb onto her palm. "New-ish form too on our end too. My tamer I were just trying to sync up so that we can try to sustain it for longer in the future."
Haru felt a bit awkward being amid the conversation between two building-sized Digimon, but she was happy to least know that the MetalGreymon's rank appearance didn't match their personality. "July 4th is still like a month a way if you looking to put on a fireworks show!" the girl joked, giving a friendly chuckle as she gave Isaac a nod. "Anyway! My name's Haru, and the Raguelmon here is my partner, Tawna! Over here is one of our friends, Medea!" she introduced herself, motioning to the BlackLunamon by her side.
"Yuh were louduh than my great-grandma rollin' around in huh digital grave!Which by de by, IS REALLY LOUD!" the viral lapine Digimon squeaked, somewhat cautious about the Ultimate level still, but she was always cautious about Digimon way bigger and stronger than her. "It's like de big cat angel said, okay? She and de boss were doin' some lame meditashun garbage or somethin'! Dey should be doin' trainin' mawh like yuh wit' blowin' stuff up!"
"Hey, wasn't this place fixed up a while ago or something? I don't want to be on Terminus City's shit list too!" Haru briefly panicked, not one for wanting to cause wanton devastation wherever they went... They got banned from one place already, didn't need to add Teriminus City to the list too! "I mean, its not just Tawna getting used to Mega level... It's like... stressful to me too, since I have to be kinda Tawna's battery."

"That a challenge?" Isaac asked, a confident grin spreading across MetalGreymon's mouth. The servos in his arm flexed curiously, causing his fingers to casually drum across the air. It was as if he was trying to figure out how he would even be able to have an arm wrestling match. " 'Course, I'm used to getting up close and personal with most of my forms. But this one's not exactly the fastest around. He's more the artillery type, if I had to guess, because by the time he'd finally get into battle it'd probably be halfway over." That may have been an odd judgment to make from a first combat trial, but Haru had been lucky enough to miss the long, plodding walk to the Plains that Isaac had to put up with in the first place. It was downright interminable.
So would trying to sustain the synchronization needed for Mega of all things. "I imagine that's gotta be tough," Isaac said. "Believe it or not, you're not the only one trying to get in sync here. Each spirit I've used is basically an entirely new Digimon, so I've been there quite a few times." He idly scratched the back of his head as he thought on the experiences so far. Yasyamon, easy enough to work with but sometimes wiggled out of control. Devidramon let the two get carried away in a whirlwind, but Isaac sure didn't mind. Samudramon balanced them out both to hit stability. NeoDevimon . . . the less said about him the better. What would a blank slate like MetalGreymon turn towards? "You'd think it'd get easier with each one, but hoo boy, if you saw the last spirit I'd found you'd know it's not so simple.
My name's Isaac. Great to meet you all," he added, his cocky grin from earlier resetting to a more neutral one.
However, after his introduction he froze up a bit. "The fourth?" he asked, worry shining through his yellow eyes. "Wait. Are you serious? It couldn't have been that long already." He tried to count through the days in his head. Frankly, they'd started blending together a long, long time ago, which was probably explained by it being several Digital World years since he had last been back to the human world. If he had seriously been taking this long to get fixed, Maia was going to kill him!
It sounded like Isaac's training had gotten a little loud, but Medea didn't seem to mind it. "Hey, willpower's important," Isaac added. "If it wasn't for that I wouldn't even be here right now. But it's probably not much of a spectator sport, so I can't blame you for wanting a change of pace." He continued drumming his fingers aimlessly, trying to think of a good example of what that kind of change of pace could be. Then he came to an idea, letting out a slight roar of excitement in the process. It seemed MetalGreymon liked coming up with ideas!
"How about I take you up on that challenge?" Isaac asked. "They say the best way to Digivolve is to have just the right pressure kicking you up to the next level. So why don't we go mano-e-mano at our Ultimates, and see if I can push you enough to break that limit again? Once you're there, then we can see if you can capture that feeling and hold form even longer than before.
What do you say? Is it a duel?"
