Valt's 101 Training: Standard Edition [Eito]

"No need to do that," Eito says coolly. "If they did something like that, I would have been angry not dejected. Or happy in the knowledge that they wouldn't do that again." He chuckles darkly, almost evilly, then laughs a little more innocently. "No, not really, probably."
Eito climbs back onto the log, switching legs. Once again, for as long as his leg has strength, he has impressive balance. Once his leg weakens, however, he ends up on the ground once more. "Hmf. Could have gone better."
"Surveillance... yeah, I got that." His voice sounds like that of someone scratching their head, thinking. "But should I be using it? I don't want to ruin B-Eito's privacy. But safety's more important right?" An almost inaudible click, and he's good to go. "Got a PA system too, from my time on the job. A bodyguard though... that's definitely priority one."
As Eito picks himself off the ground once more, Ilbert asks him a question. "Digimon into armament? What do you mean exactly? Like... have digimon shoot out of Tetsu, like how modify cards work? Or do you mean something else?"

"...Happy in the knowledge that they wouldn't do it again? Boy, you sounded like they want to do it again. If that's the case, I'll try to smack them or something..."
But at the same time, Valt made a mental note to not cross Eito. He seemed like innocent and unsure on the surface, but there's seem darker side of him that he'll show only to his enemies or people he have grudge with. Either way, as expected, his balance is really great, isn't it? Valt quickly scribbled more, then after a while, handed the note to Eito.
"Here you go, use this for what sort of training you should aim for. When you're not here, or when we're not together, use this as a basic."
There, listed several training menu that he should do everyday. It's seem that Valt is serious in this. None of them are hard to do, or need any tools. Then, he gave him another one. "Use this one if you want to try gym workout. Please avoid bench press machine or any weights other than barbell for now, alright? Also, train with a pro around you. If you need any help..."
"Well, I can help a bit, but it probably better if you have a trainer. If you don't have enough money, I can lend you some. You can pay me back by working here, what do you say?" Ryouta offered.
"After this, we'll begin with real practice, so I hope you're ready. For now it's just a simple thing..."
Valt took out several palm sized ball made from burlap. It's not fully filled, and more to filled to half. Inside seem to be flour or sort. "I'll toss this to ya, and you'll dodge. Think this as some sort of Digimon attack. Use terrains to dodge. For now I'll just use these small stuff, but later on I'll definitely use trickier stuff. Our training menu will be training for two hours, rest for fifteen minutes, then followed by battle simulation for another two hours. Rest, then we'll train again for two more hours. Yeah, it's six hours of training. Hope you don't mind."
"Of course, I'll be cooking us meals and whatnots," Ryouta added it's seem his work is done, and he's now barechested because the sweating involved. "Whew! Anyway... this is the more heavier part of the training. I think... the rules was..."
"Right. If you're hit on the head, you're out. That's all for now. When you're ready, you tell me, alright?"

Eito laughs again. "No, no grudge held, they didn't do anything to incur my wrath or even my annoyance." He hopes this clears things up. All in all, his time with Chie and Do was... insightful.
He examines the workout list and whistles. "You really planned things out, didn't you? Are you sure you aren't a professional trainer, or don't want to be?" Money is offered for him to go to the gym, in exchange for working. "So... you are looking to have me be hired? I could use a part-time job, if the hours are flexible."
The practice was revealed - half-deflated dodgeball? Well, it makes sense, he supposes, shrugging. Six hours is a lot of training, but what is six hours of training a day for a week if it means he gets to live a lot longer in return? "I believe that is fair."
Seeing Ryouta shirtless, his huge muscles bulging with power... could Eito ever attain that strength? Probably not in the time he has, but with how weak he is know, any gain in strength would be good. Should he even aim for Ryouta's strength level? Perhaps best to set more realistic - and normal human - goals. "I am ready for training."
Meanwhile, Tetsu thinks about the armament comment. "Do you mean... Xros? The thing that Xros Generals are supposedly known for, but that I only heard of in legend? Or you literally mean strapping Digimon to my sides and using them as guns? Because that could be fun. Ohoho."

"Well if you says so, lad," Valt answered. He noticed that last time Ilbert doesn't answer because... he was dozing off? He forgot that the Trailmon is still an old man at heart. He gestured to Tetsu that says something along the line of "Wake the thing up."
Though, Valt was quite proud that Eito noticed. "Yep, let's just say that I really plan it all out! If you seriously want to have a proper diet, though.. here." he handed another note that seem to be what sort of menu Eito should take while coupling it off with his training. Now this starting to look more like a pro's notes on how to grow really well.
"Well, that's the gist of it yeah. It's flexible, no worries. I just need help in stuffs like material transport now and then, nothing too much, right? Mostly just probably food and stuff, for the dining train pretty much," Ryouta answered. Although, he noticed that Eito looked at his body. He smiled softly. "What's this, pal? Want a body like mine? Well, I guess if you work hard enough..."
"...Actually possible," suddenly Valt said. "If you want that sort of body... let's see.. give me like a year real world time, so about seven years Digital World time. By 16 you can curl seventy five kilograms for several times."
"That's sounds about right..."
"Of course it's right. I mean, Aniki can bench press nearly twice of his own weight?"
"Somewhere around there... I think."
"See?"
"But it's just one time, so don't quote me on that. Plus aren't I abnormalish?"
"...Well... that's true. But Eito! If you want to get this sort of body, then I'll train you for that! What, do you have a girl to impress perhaps? Someone you like? I can't blame you like that~ Even when he's like this Aniki was quite popular too you know~?"
"Hey what do you mean "like this"!?"
Ilbert quickly woke up. "A-ah... where was I again? Oh right, Armament Xros... well, I meant to turn into weapon, and yes... attaching them on you. Seem to be a good idea. Or a protective suit for Eito in case of emergency. Who knows!"

Tetsu nudges the dozing Ilbert lightly. "Um... sir? You okay?"
"Diet... exercise... everything's right here." Eito smiles at Valt. "You really know your stuff. I feel I'm in good hands here." As for the job, Eito seems on board. "Sure, I could help out. Shouldn't be a problem." He does need the part time experience after all, though it wouldn't be something he could put on an Analog World resume.
He is then caught looking at Ryouta. "Sorry, didn't mean to be envious but yeah. I'm hoping to get strong, though I doubt I'd ever get anywhere near your strength. That would be impressive, but I doubt I have what it takes to get that strong." Especially as Valt mentions him bench pressing twice his weight.
As for one of the reasons why he'd want to get that buff, Valt his the nail on the head. "W-well... I mean... uh..." he stammers, turning red. "M-maybe..."
Tetsu butts in with a loud laugh. "Don't be ashamed, boss! I know there's a couple girls you wouldn't mind impressing, but there's nothing wrong with that!"
He had his own conversation to attend to as he leaves Eito stammering. "So... Xros Armaments... that sounds right! Any suggestions on what types of Digimon to look for, and...well.. how Eito and I are supposed to recruit them?"

"Heh, told ya, Eito, you're in good hand with me!" the Vmon said, gently slapping the youth's back reassuringly. "Tho if you want harder training, just tell me. I'll say that in Digital World, there are a lot of foods not available in real world. Have you ever heard of super foods? They're like Hawk Radish or Super Carrot. Those are secret of Aniki's quick muscle growth. You can put on some mass with them. Also the meat here is very nutritious, so there's that!"
Though, Ryouta understands why he's looking at him like that. "Hah, trust me, I used to look at other dude's body too when I first started training in a gym. Like, back then I was quite thin. A bit more built than you, but still really thin, you know? I was slightly malnourished in my younger days. I won't take offense. If you really want to have body like this, I'll support you all the way, kay?" he gently pat the younger teen's back.
"You know," Valt grinned mischievously, "just think of standing beside a girl that you like with that sort of physique. Girls would swoon you know? Especially if you have cute face. I think you're kinda good looking yourself!"
"Valt, don't tease him too much," Ryouta chided, although he's definitely pretty amused himself. "Heh, sorry Eito, I guess I never got a lot of guy who said they want to be at my level of buffness. I mean, I'm really huge, right?" Ryouta attempted to flex his arm. The size of it definitely looks really impressive. "Not many really comfortable with this size. But if you want to be like me I guess that's like a confidence boost for myself. Like, I used to be half of this buff, and because I forgot about Digital World... I woke up one day and thought 'who the hell drugged me'!? There you have it. I had complex about it... I might be proud of it back then, but... now it's a complicated feeling. But hearing you said that makes me really happy somehow haha!"
"So what do you say, Eito? Wanna try? I can turn you into super saiyan hehe..." Valt asked.
As for Tetsu's question... Ilbert made a thinking noise before answering.
"I suggest something like Ballistamon for more weaponry, or Revolmon. But if you want bodyguard, I suggest more speedy machine types. I have no idea how good it is to combine more natural ones such as Renamon with Trailmon, that's why I won't suggest it... but something like Blade Kuwagamon probably will be a good teammate, to be fused to you, and to be used as Eito's personal bodyguard. Although the thought of Ninja train seem to be funny enough. How to recruit them... that, I don't know. These guys tends to follow generals for their own goal."

"Super foods..." Eito gives Valt a quizzical look. "In the Analog World, there are many people trying to push 'super foods', though someone else then claims it is bad for you and touts another. They are a reality here?"
Eito gives a huge sigh of relief at not seeming strange or rude to Ryouta. "Malnourished? Thin? You have come a long way then, you must have really stuck to a strict regimen."
Valt's teasing definitely gets a reaction out of Eito. Mostly incoherent stammering and blushing, but oddly enough, also a tight grip on his Xros Loader and a step back. Eito himself doesn't seem aware of this. He slows his breathing and calms down. "Heheh. Thanks."
"Anyways. Thin and malnourished, then one day you woke up like that, because of amnesia. That must have been surreal." Eito tenses then relaxes. "I doubt I could stand up to the exercise you had to go through to get like this, but I will try hard. I'm ready to begin training."

"Well, unlike in the real world, super food in here seem to be more to foods that increase your training result. For example, Super Carrot increases your strength training growth. Hawk Radish increases your vitality, speed and durability. However apparently hawk radish increases your weight significantly while super carrot decreases it. Ah, and it cannot be used together, so you got to eat one. Anyway, I'll try to look for them. They're kinda rare, you see. BUt ah, I got one each here... Was trying to get them for aniki... But I guess we can use it tomorrow instead. Today is only trial training after all. If you seriously want to be like aniki, then I'll have to give you new menu each month."
Ryouta just chuckled. "I guess I really did. I dunno what I did, but I guess I was really lucky."
"Let's say it's because of necessity," Valt supplemented. "But at any rate, looks like you're ready, hmn? I'll make you, like they said... zero to hero! Now dodge!"
Valt began his training. The dodgeball would definitely stings a bit when hit. The Vmon was actually showing seriousness. He keeps chasing Eito for a while, and he doesn't even looks tired. While the training now definitely harder than before now that Eito seem to say his 'yes' on getting as buff as Ryouta, Valt is still very reasonable. He know when the youth is too tired, when he should push him for more. In the end, the dodging training is combined with several more training, such as weight training and a bit of shadowboxing. In the end, Ryouta also helped to teach Eito how to do training with weight machines and helped him in knowing his current limit.
After a lil bit of nap, they continued with working. At this point, Valt handed Eito the super carrot juice. It tasted like normal carrot with tang of ginger. The effect is obviously not shown immediately, but over the process of work, it seems to get easier and easier as it goes. Valt warned that the effect only effective for six hours, but also warned Eito to not overdo it. Too tired means no gain. After the logging works, Valt told him to nap again, until dinner. His body must be really sore when he woke up.
Before long, the sun has set, and Ryouta is cooking dinner for the five of them.
"I guess I should say... good work. That was tiring huh? Sorry that he got that excited," Ryouta apologized. "But I can see that today is really productive."

Perhaps he was a bit hasty in asking for this level of training. The first few 'attacks' catch him off-guard, and boy do they sting! He quickly gets more alert, however, and is able to dodge a few of them. He realizes there was no way he could keep this up however. He must find cover! There are plenty of trees and other sources of cover that help immensely, but he must keep moving! Each dodgeball was a Digimon's attack. Each hit might sting, but it is nothing compared to what they simulate.
The other training methods were still tough, but Eito was glad that they broke up the sessions. His weight lifting was not impressive, but he tried. Shadowboxing fared a little better for him. He was much better with anything having to do with balance, however. And he totally rocked at resting and eating.
By the time the day was over, Eito was exhausted, sore... and happy. This wasn't just training, it was stress relief. He felt both lighter and heavier at the same time. "It was very tiring but... if pain did not exist, then I would feel amazing right now. As it is, whew... I'm worn out but I feel pretty good."

Valt noticed that Eito learned fast. Despite his initial mistake, he got good head above his shoulders. He just need to think outside the box more. General's greatest asset are their out of the box thinking, and usually that's hard. Not everyone is made for leader. Some got charisma but no intellect needed, another got intellect but no charisma. With that in mind, he hoped to test more of Eito's line of thought tomorrow.
When the dinner is served, it's seem Valt is the first to retire for the day. The Vmon must be really tired from all of the training he gave the youth. The said blue dragon is snoring on the compartment chair, notes scattered around him. It's definitely training menu and instruction of how to train safely. It's detailed, with neat handwriting, and cute illustrations. Ryouta had no idea his partner could doodle like this.
"...Heh, say Ilbert, what's the story about Valt? I mean, is he always like this?" Ryouta asked the train.
"Truth to be told... it's a bit tragic young master. You two... ahem, used to be in a lot of battlefield with him. Many of people around you killed for inexperience. No matter how strong you are, there's just a limit of how much you can protect. Master Valt know this very well... Deep inside, he's still someone who wanted his allies, his close friends and those under him to survive. When he find someone who he felt he could bond with, he would try to raise that person's survivability. He, most of all, hates friends dying."
"I see..."
"You might think he's taking pity, but no. It's more correct to say that he gained some affection to you. That's why he want to make sure that you live. But I guess he also likes to be depended upon. It's... I guess you can say 'the privilege of a senior'. Despite Tetsu probably older, Master Valt has been together with young master for more than seven years Digital World time wise."
"That I can understand. Well, Eito, go ahead and eat. Don't worry about the soreness. I'm sure that sooner or later you'll appreciate the muscle burn. Workout can improve your mood after all!"
"Ehe... Eitoooo... ya have gone faaar...Eh? Ya wanna be super saiyan for real...? Ehh....? Alright... I'll try haaard..." suddenly the Vmon sleeptalked, earning a chuckle from Ryouta.
"Heh... well, night is time to relax. Anything you wanna ask me, Eito? Or Ilbert probably."
At this moment, Ryouta found out Valt's plan for tomorrow. Apparently a bit of jogging, followed by a bit of small training, then swimming before breakfast. Sounds reasonable.

"Dying..." Eito sighs, closing his eyes. "Seeing those you care about die. It is hard to imagine. Must have been rough. Almost makes you not want to care about anyone in fear of losing them. Almost."
Eito slowly eats his meal, trying to make it last so he has something to focus on. "Yeah, I can see the benefits already," he replies. "Hff... it hurts but the endorphins and other chemicals are making me feel alright, and being healthy and bringing balance to my body is a mood improvement. Once I'm used to the soreness it will be fully enjoyable."
An important question was answered for Eito: do Digimon dream? The answer was 'yes, and they're loud about it.' It was quite interesting, but at the same time, a little worrying. "Please let his dreams stay dreams," he jokes. "I don't think I'm ready for Super Saiyan training."
Eito mulls over what he should ask Ryouta or Ilbert. There were so many questions, yet he wasn't sure which ones to throw their way. "How about... I know. Any idea why we are chosen, and why we are chosen for specific yet also general roles? Why were you and I chosen to come here, and why you a... 'linked'... and me a Xros General?"

"Honestly..." Ryouta began. "...I can see myself like that. Not caring about anyone... and... just act aloof. it might have happened, it might have not. But in the end, I guess I'll just... ended up feeling really lonely. I have no idea it happened or not, I only have vague recollection. As my bond with Valt grows stronger, I'm sure that my memories will return. But... at the same time, I keep wondering... Can I stomach the bad dreams that came with it? I have no idea... but... at the same time, I know that the bond I started to make and reconnect will only getting stronger."
Ryouta grinned at Eito's way to distract himself from the heavy topic. "Yep. Hey, who knows, when you got beefy, you can probably hide your mass with those shirt. More shock factor like that!"
Hearing Eito's joking plea made the older boy laugh out loud. "Don't worry, he know when dream is a dream. He won't train you half conscious, I can assure you that. Although I seriously wonder just how crazy I was back then..."
"...Want to see the recording?" suddenly Ilbert offered.
"...Well, let's check."
The TV turned on, and on the center of a white, simulation-like room is Ryouta. A sword is on his arm, and it looked like a scimitar, only broader. His eyes looked different, like a dragon. His expression also far hardened than now, like the two are completely different person. The moment the training started, with practiced stances, he dodged, barely wasting his breath while blocking some of lasers with his sword. However, now and then, the laser hit, and it definitely painful from the look of it. Yet, his eyes unfaltering.
"...Just on what drug I was?" Ryouta commented. "If my body performance wasn't high, I'd question if this is some CGI. But nope, this is way too real."
His question though... it makes sense. But even Ryouta was silent. He's unsure. Answer came from unexpected place.
"Who cares?" suddenly, it seems like Valt just woke up. "...Digital World just destined us to met. Whether it's by a will of a god, or will of the world, or just fate playing with us, in the end, we're chosen. What matters is what makes us stay together, and stay here, in a world that gives both blessing and curse. If I have to answer that... I think it's for us to evolve. Not in just sense of growing stronger, but... to mature, to cast away our weaker selves, and become the person we can be proud of... In the end, that's the reason of why we're here... Because we want to grow, because the bond is too precious... Don't you agree?"

"Loneliness is an insidious demon." Words of wisdom from a fifteen-year-old boy. "Bonds... connections... whether you like them or not, they are important in both currently-known worlds. And don't fear the darkness that comes with the light of your returned memories, or whatever. I don't know, I'm done being philosophical, I'm too tired. But your memories are yours, take them back as you can."
Back to less serious matters, Eito almost cracks a smile at the 'shirts' comment. "True, true. Nobody would know how much I changed until I need to show them. It would be a very dramatic reveal."
So... there was recordings of Ryouta's old training? This Eito had to see! Some crazy demonic warrior that looked near-identical to Ryouta was fighting off laser beams, and shrugging off pain as if it didn't exist. Just what was he, back then? "...wow. I mean... um.... wow."
To evolve, to grow stronger... that was the purpose of the Digital World. This was a purpose that Eito could get behind. To better himself was to better his future. "Thank you, Valt. I understand now."

Too tired and done being philosophical? Ryouta chuckled and pulled the younger boy in by his neck and gave him a brotherly noogie. "Thanks for worrying about this ol me, Eito. But you're being a biiiit cheeky~" but it's clear that the older boy doesn't mind that sort of cheekiness at all. He released him soon after and patted his back. "Well, let's not forget to eat. We got a lot to do tomorrow. We'll try to make this as interesting as possible to you, hmn?"
Dramatic reveal are always sweet. Valt suddenly decided to get in the conversation. "You know, before Aniki started training, he's your everyday joe, wearing a shirt and all. He's not buff and all, so he was a bit too conscious of using sleeveless shirts. But when he started training, and get stronger, it apparently enough to make a girl drooled at his body."
"...THAT HAPPENED!?"
"Oh it does. So Eito, trust me, the reveal WILL worth it. Anyway, do you have any other question? I hopefully can answer them."

Eito is under attack! Prepare counteroffensive! No wait, it was just a noogie. He grunts, not exactly pleased with this but not really annoyed either. "Hey, I just know what it would be like if I found out I lost my memories. I think I'll be up to more training tomorrow." He goes back to eating, making sure to replenish some of what he lost.
Valt's words cause a slight flush on Eito's face. "You... think that will happen for me," he asks, before walking his question back. "I-I mean I'm just slightly curious is all, not really thinking about girls and stuff- I mean..." He then groans at his stupidity. "Yep, I'm definitely fighting myself here. I'm emotionally weak, aren't I?"
There were still many questions left for Eito to ask, but he is getting too tired. "I...uh..." he yawns, trying to formulate a question. "Hm... how about... are humans data in the Digital World, and are Digimon organic in the Analog World?"
