Flowers that bloom at a certain time period but might be another way to make them bloom... "I guess that means we can ask the wise old Digimon that is sure to be among the locals," Agumaru half-jokes. "Things always seem to work out that there's a wise old Digimon, right? Or we can just go do a few sweeps every twenty minutes starting a few hours before the email is sent or something. Do emails have times they were sent?" He shrugs, then considers more of the strange email.
"Leg dangling in air... weird air or gravity stuff? That's another good clue to look for! We... also have to worry about traps?" He looks towards Owen with a tiny almost-frown. "Well. Ruins with traps. Had a few run-ins before, not pleasant at all. But survivable even for a Rookie, so I'm sure things will be fine!" It seems everyone had some idea of what to expect and do. Maybe this would be easy?

Owen heartily returned the wolf kiss and gave Hikaru one last hug. "Of course I will, darling" he assured him. He'd take care of Tetsu and Gryz as closely as he would take care of Logan. While Tetsu was a strong human he was also young, and the Gaomon would act as the professional soldier he once was if it meant keeping them safe.
Even though Owen's oath of the 7/71st was a little different to KIZNA's, he understood it at least. Nik and Brad meanwhile made the same salute.
"Yup, that we'll do" Nik assured them. It seemed that he was in charge of the comm device, well, best keep it somewhere safe. He put it in his shirt pocket, doing up the button so it wouldn't fall out easily. With that, they proceeded to the Trailmon Terminal (stopping by the Terminus Mall to buy some diving gear, just in case). Owen joined Tetsu and Gryz on the train heading North, giving a wave as they departed.
Then Nik and Brad boarded the rather empty Angler Trailmon to the Bayou. It seemed this wasn't a very popular destination today, as apparently it would be raining there.
"Hope you don't mind too much, Nik" Brad said to his partner briefly. They had only recently met and were both keen to keep their bond strong.
"Heh don't mind me, bro, I've been doing Rugby practice for 10 years, rain hail or shine. I'm not worried about a bit of mud". Nik replied, putting an arm around Brad reassuringly, petting him. Brad smiled in return. He was glad his partner was so positive.
As they arrived in the Bayou, Nik heard Hikaru's voice in his chest pocket. He unbuttoned it, pulled out the comm device, and activated. "Yep, Hikaru, I can hear you" he said in response. It seemed that they might not be able to find Sachi through the use of the radar, so the Dorumon suggested that they meet up with a tribe of Insect digimon in the area, although they might not be very cooperative.
"Well, okay, that's a lead at least" Nik replied. "We'll seek them out and see what we can find". Then Nik's D-Terminal received the last message from Sachi to Arata, which he also pulled from his pocket and read out loud for the rest of the team.
When he was done, Brad tilted his head, wondering what to make of it. "Stone eater flower? I haven't heard of that... so I guess it must be pretty rare" he mused. But then he was more concerned about the bog. "So when she was stuck, her leg was... free in air? And she thinks that it was the entrance to something? Oh dear..." he didn't much like the sound of that. It sounded to him that the entrance to a hidden place involved entering a bog, and, from what he had heard of the place, he didn't much look forward to the prospect of diving into bogs until they found the right one. Even if they did have diving gear.
However, Sho mentioned that the entrance would be near this rare yellow flower. "Yeah, I guess that makes sense" Nik said. "So then, I guess we can ask the Insect digimon where this flower might be?". With that, Nik and Brad would head into the Bayou area with the group.

"I see, so you guys decided to talk with the local? I'll send you any sort of information then. Oh, apparently one of the customer told to find the flying type Digimons. In the bayou... a flying child level... well, you got the gist. If nothing, a Yanmamon might be around for you guys to spot. They said the most secluded and unable to speak common tongue usually are the most knowledgeable so make sure to keep that in mind!"
With that, the communication is closed for the meantime. Soon, they would find some signals nearby. They seem belong to some humans that travelled around here. The left point would have about five of them at the same time, seem to be scattered on some spot, but at least nearby. The other on the north seem to be a bit far away, with but travelling in a group of two... and the last one, on the right. is alone, but seem to be stationary.
About locales, so far they haven't found that much of locale Digimons. Most of them just greeted the party, but none seem any that different. They admitted rather than locale, those that found on the entrances are usually the newcomers, which means immigrants.
...that aside, the area is new, so there are no marker or anything like that... or at least, one that's understandable by the team.
with that in mind, the option is to go deeper... to the left, to the north, or to the right?

These signals that surrounded them at this point in their travel spoke to Sho's eyes as he examined them with his device. He paced a little bit in each direction and navigated the image the bit so he could get a clear picture before returning and pushing up his glasses. All he had to remember was one thing; Time. That was the one thing they couldn't waste and the one thing they couldn't keep track of. This kind of dilemma already had his brain kicked into high gear, but at least now he had details to push through so that a conclusion could be easily found.
He put on a thousand yard stare as he faced the group, running everything through in his head as he spoke. "My first impressions are that the nearest, scattered signals would be akin to travelers in this place. The group of two further ahead of us are most likely mobilized with a purpose, perhaps on the same trail our Miss Missing was on. And that lone one is quite suspicious...maybe a kind of station or otherwise." Sho dumped his thoughts out of his mouth as he shook his head out of it and felt his mouth still trying to blabber onward.
He had to be overthinking some of this right? It was just his nature...or at least a piece of it he couldn't bear to use now.
"Ah, um...Sorry if my ramblings were hard to catch. I'm just trying to say it's hard for me to nail the next decision for us." Sho stammered out as he bit his thumb and continued to pace. What kind of situation was he putting himself in anyway? He paused his steps and bit a little hard on the edge of that thumb before he lightly bowed and placed his hand on his chest.
"Going with my absolute gut here...I think we should head to the right. We won't be wasting energy catching up to something, and a stationary signal seems like more of an oddity to me..." Sho expounded on his decision, putting a fist into his other hand again.

So... there were three possible paths to take. Three possible targets. Three possible fates. One led to a group of signals. Another to only two, and the last to a solitary, unmoving blip. What could this mean?
Agumaru agrees with Sho's initial assessment of the first path. It is very unlikely that the girl they're looking for is among them. Tourists, travelers, an unrelated group of adventurers... none of them added up to this group fining her.
The second group of signals was two blips. The girl and her Digimon were two blips! But... isn't it supposed to only pick up one signal per human-digimon pair? Like... tracking their Digivices or something? That can't be right.
Finally, there's the lone signal. Could that be her? Maybe, maybe not, but...
"That signal... is immobile? What if she's hurt? What if she's worse than hurt? What if she's... what if she's seriously injured and near..." Agumaru couldn't bring himself to say it.
"We need to go to the right."

Hmm, so the digimon might not be able to communicate that well and might be secluded? Nik was slightly concerned at that news. "Alright... thanks, Hikaru. We'll keep that in mind". So, seems they might have some trust issues with the village if they go that way. Maybe they could offer gifts or assistance or something like that if they needed to do so?
As they began to pick up signals from others, Nik and Brad listened to Sho's reasoning. "Yep, that makes sense, bro" Nik said. Brad wondered what the other signals were for though.
"Hmm... yes, they do look like adventurers..." he began. "Although we shouldn't discount the moving two ahead. But, for now, I agree with you all, we should investigate the signal on the right. It's dangerous for humans to be alone in this place".
"Well then, seems it's unanimous, right it is" Nik said, as Agumaru also said they should go in that direction. And so that way they went. On the way, Nik and Brad gave cheerful greetings to the digimon they passed, but noted that they seemed to be recent arrivals and not those that had been here a particularly long time.
"By the way, Brad, what does a Yanmamon look like?" Nik asked his partner. It seemed from what Hikaru was saying that was the digimon they needed to look out for to find the "locals".
"Oh, um... well, a yellow flying bug digimon, with green eyes, four wings, six legs and a long tail" Brad said, rubbing his forehead as he tried to remember.

Their small little journey would lead them to... something that can be described as quite perilous situation. There was a Digivice on the ground, with no sign of the owner. The Digivice got some scratches on it, which seem to be new as the mud on it haven't dried. Not too far from there, a shout of "help!" belonging to what sounded like a male teen could be heard. True enough, they would find a teen hanging on for his dear life along with a Mushmon who seem to managed to hook a rope to a tree. As of the danger...
the bog.
It's really deep, and seem to be impossible to gauge the bottom just with feet alone. Both of the human and the Digimon doesn't look all that fit, which means they're unable to help themselves to get out. The moment they saw the team, it's as if they saw some sort of savior.
"Please help us, Sirs! We screamed for help for so long, and no one came to help! Please, help us!"
Looks like it's a small event, but before anyone could move...
"Oh, and... please, don't get yourself inside the bog, at any case!" suddenly the Mushmon warned. "...I can't really explain it... but it's better if you don't help us directly. Get some rope, please!"

Moving was the last thing on Sho's mind while it was aware of the two trapped over the bog. He felt himself almost turn to stone as he tried to find some way in the clearing they stood in. Some kind of vine he could float out to them or a way to connect the Mushmon's lifeline with their group strength. He wouldn't even risk moving a muscle towards them before he could just find something. With a scratch of the head, Sho took out his Digivice and readied his hand.
"I'm going to give us a link. I think once I give us a tie to them, this should be easy." Sho spoke simply and with a rip at the Digicode at his palm, he was enveloped in his new, smaller form. The winged Tsukaimon rose to some of the thicker vegetation, trying to find something tough enough to support the weight of both of them. This small victory would only lead to many more...He just had to go out and take it!
He made his tough and tenacious nibbles count as he swiftly cut down smaller vines that he could drag back with his smaller limbs and even tinier digits.
"Unfortunately, I can't hold a lot in this form! But I tried to make this as quick as possible." Spreading the wings at his head, he posed in the air as he put the vines in front of them. "All we need to do is to strengthen these fibers, then I can fly it out to them, tie it on and we can pull!" Sho triumphantly expounded upon his plan, holding on the untied end of one fiber.
"That should follow all of our directives, right? We need to get these two out regardless." Sho affirmed, adopting a lighter and yet still impish version of his analytical tone.

The crew made it to a lone Digivice. "So this is where the signal came," Agumaru muses, "but where's the owner?" He scratches his head as he ponders this, fearing the worst. The shout of 'help' snaps him out of it quickly, however, as he whips around to look in the direction of the distress call.
There. A human and a Mushmon. They were the source of both the signal and the cries for help. For a quick second, disappointment clashed with worry across Agumaru's face. This wasn't who they had set out to rescue! Worry quickly won out, however. "Don't worry, we got you!"
But how? Sho quickly answers that question for everyone. "Wow," Agumaru exclaims. "Cool, a Spirit User! That's awesome and- no, no time for that."
A pile of vine pieces was a pile of rope pieces. A pile of rope pieces was a rope in potentia. Agumaru helps them reach their potential, his fork-like hands not the best for the job but surprisingly well for what they are. "I'm... not very good at this but I've had some survival practice. I can't do this alone in time but I can help."

As they continued through the marshlands, Nik and Brad gasped and ran toward the cries for help. There they saw a teenager and a Mushmon in severe peril, seemingly stuck in a bog. Immediately thinking that it might be the right thing to do, Nik pulled out his digivice and pointed it at Brad.
In a burst of light, the Bearmon quickly evolved to Grizzmon. How this would help? Well, it was there just in case.
"Brad's strong enough to pull them out if you need the extra strength" Nik said. He wasn't too bad himself, but Brad was four times stronger than him in this form. He didn't blink as Sho transformed to a Tsukaimon, he was familiar with spirit users.
Then Agumaru made the rope from the vines. Nik took a look at it, hopefully it would be strong enough to pull them out. It seemed so. He then swung the rope out to the imperilled pair, then made sure he and Brad had a firm grip on the other end.
"Gently, Brad" he instructed his partner, then turned to the boy and the Mushmon. "Okay, hold on to this rope guys! We can pull you out!"
When they would hold on to the new rope, Brad and Nik would pull, hopefully the two of them could overcome the weight of the imperilled and the suction of the bog.

Thanks to the team's work, they soon managed to pull the teen and his Mushmon. At first glance, there's no strange property in the bog,
"Whew, thanks everyone... I'm saved. Did you happened to see my Digivice somewhere?"
"Duke, I think we better explain it to them what's wrong," the Mushmon commented.
"Oh right! So, hey, my name's Duke, this is Matange my partner. We're gourmets. We're looking for exotic ingredients around the whole Digital World for our cookbook. The Bayou appeared recently, and we hired some guide, but they ended up mugging us blind... blame us on that. We're too trusting. They tossed us here... Supposedly, Matange can evolve to at least to Perfect, but..."
"Yeah, something in the bog is just weird... Hey guys, careful with the bog, alright? It apparently... made you unable to evolve. Thanks again, here's some food for ya. It's something like poutine, hope you like!"
With that, the duo left the team be after collecting their Digivice.
"...You know," Hikaru quipped from the communicator. "This is the first time I heard something other than Dark Tower stopping evolution, but at the moment, I think we need to gather more information before proceeding through route with more bog."
Seeing as there are more bog here, Hikaru sounded skeptic. "...For now, I think you guys better invest on some objects like grapple gun just in case... Or maybe get some rope. Be very careful! I can tell this is not normal! Something must be up!"
...For now there are few options. To go to the signal with two person, or maybe gathering information at the more concentrated place.

Popping out of his preciously small Tsukaimon form, Sho was able to land on his feet with a sigh of relief. While he couldn't help but giggle leaving his form, he was able to face those he helped save with a small bow. Even then he couldn't think he could speak a word to them past a small thumbs up he could barely muster.
Sho couldn't wait to turn around. By now it was as if his mind was already made up. He was ready to start walking already, to get moving and take the initiative! But he couldn't move his legs past a gentle stroll, victoriously cracking up a smile and look at his Digivice. Handling this quickly would be an immense benefit seeing as they could still get those two little blips. He had to look around, just trying to entertain himself with thoughts of a quicker way to just get to those two signals.
"I think we've obtained the single piece of key information that fits this stuff together like Gundam glue! Ahem...This shouldn't be anything remotely exciting. If our Missing Miss was able to fall into this bog, she may be lacking extremely essential power..." Sho cooled himself over, turning back to the group. "I want to catch up to those two blips as fast as possible, but I think we should try to figure out something else..." He begins to pace, figuring out what he wanted to say to that pair they pulled out.
"Did this effect exist before? If you would've had any idea, that is...This seems too sudden and I've got a feeling that this is exactly the kind of detail other people would skip over." Sho inquired, pocketing his digivice. If this was new, then this would've been just another plot point in a huge condition...

This swamp was worse than Agumaru thought! Not only do you sink in it, but you can't Digivolve to get the strength to pull yourself out of it! Suddenly, the brick dinosaur was a lot more careful and on edge. "Yeesh. Whose idea was it to make a swamp of doom, anyways?" He then tries to calm himself. "Anyways, my name is Agumaru. I wish we met under better circumstances. Was there perhaps a girl and another Digimon with you at some point?"
It was planning time. "Grappling hook, good idea. Waiting to rescue the two dots... er... I would not consider that as good an idea. If they are anything like the dot here, they could be in critical danger. The large crowd of blips is probably safe and can wait. Unless you want to split the party, but that has been a bad idea for generations... but what do I know? I'm no strategist. I just hit things and shoot fireballs at things and make good stew."

(OOC: I'm so sorry for the delay)
With much relief, they succeeded in rescuing the two from the bog. Nik exhaled and leaned back on Brad for a moment, the Grizzmon patting his shoulder. Then the two introduced themselves as Duke and Matange, and quickly explained their situation. They appeared to be wandering cooks and were looking for rare ingredients but were then mugged by their guide and left for dead.
"Oh no that's horrible" Brad exclaimed. He could sometimes forget just how cruel others could be. Then he gave an uneasy look at the bog, apparently it could prevent digivolution. Well... perhaps that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, he'd probably sink faster as Grizzmon than Bearmon, but, he'd prefer to avoid it altogether.
Following that, they gave them some food as thanks (thankfully carefully wrapped so it wasn't covered in muck) then departed. Hikaru mentioned dark towers and Nik thought of that too.
"Now that's strange" he remarked. "Maybe they're linked?"
Sho seemed to be on a similar page too. "Well, perhaps that could be something we could ask the natives?" Brad suggested. They had no way of knowing if this effect had always been there, since this was their first journey to the bayou.
Agumaru suggested they go to the two blips, and with sound reasoning. "Sure, let's go that way" Nik said, hoping that they weren't in danger over that way. "Also, yeah... grappling hook, that'd be good". He looked at the makeshift rope they had made so far. "Well, we'll keep this for one". Following that, he'd follow the rest of the group to the double blips.
