Lise considered Adrian's words. "Well, of course, I did put it down while I was eating" she mused. It must have happened then. What a bizarre coincidence. So, that was the 'how' of it. Lise now knew the Who, What, When, Where and How, but... not the 'Why'.
Still, that could be found out later. For now, it seemed that 'Hakase' was her partner, and thus her responsibility. So, she would treat him as such for the time being.
Lise gave a small grin at Shoutmon. "Seems you digimon can be a mischievous type, hm?" she said.
"Oh, no, I'm nothing like him, Hamelin-Sensei" Agumon insisted. He wouldn't make someone give up their lunch money. Lise expected as much, digimon were probably unique in their personalities as much as humans.
"That's alright, Eito, I suppose it certainly is a shock" she said. However, it was probably lucky that this hadn't happened in another teacher's class. She wondered what kind of chaos would ensue from that. It certainly wasn't comfortable to think about.
Still, she was the teacher here and she had to remain professional. Given there were three digimon in the room, she did the best she could to explain the lesson of verbs in English sentences, and was pleased to discover that some of the digimon (at least Hakase) knew English too and could contribute. Finally, when it seemed that the lesson was done, the bell rang, indicating it was time for morning break.
"Alright, thank you all for behaving yourselves in today's lesson" Lise said. "Please remember that, despite today's... events, they will not likely happen again. There will be no homework other than to please continue studying for your final exams. Also, could those who are familiar with... what just happened please stay behind for a little while? You don't necessarily have to, but, I would be personally appreciative. I promise not to take up too much of your time".
With that, she waited until the rest of the class had left and would hope to see at least one or two that would remain. While she had done her best to keep her cool while in an active class, she hoped that she could have a more frank discussion about digimon with those that remained.

Adrian had to admit, he was impressed with Miss Hamelin's ability to keep her cool despite all the craziness that had just happened. Most people either would have freaked out or had a mental breakdown by this point, but the teacher was more curious than freaked out, and she actually wanted to know more!
Naturally, class went back to normal... well, as normal as it could get anyways, with Shoutmon napping throughout class and a professor Agumon helping out the teacher. Eventually, class did end and plenty of the kids actually stayed. They were intrigued with the Digimon themselves, it seemed like.
Shoutmon yawned as he woke up from his nap. "Oh, is the class over alr-" He was cut off by the amount of teenagers just staring at him. "Uh... hello..."
Jitsuko walked up to Shoutmon. "So you're with... Adrian?"
"That is right, I am Adrian's Digimon," Shoutmon responded with a smile on his face.
"And... how long have you known him for?"
"Is this about the whole keeping me secret thing? He really didn't have a choice, you know. Humans aren't really supposed to know about us."
Meanwhile, Adrian was still talking with the teacher. "So, Miss Hamelin, is there anything else you want to know about Digimon?"

With the ringing of the bell class was over, but he was wanting to stay longer to find out more about digimon from Adrian, and to ask the teacher about the final. Taking one last glance at the tree outside, John got up and went to the front, noticing Shoutmon surrounded by some kids as he did. "Well that was an interesting class today, probably not intentional but still." John sat down in one of the front seats in front of them. "If it's alright with you, I'm just going to sit here and listen, I'll answer any questions asked of me but really, Adrian's the one who'll know anything about this. Oh, and Miss Hamelin, can you tell me what the exam will be after this? This was the first day I heard of it." After saying that he took out his sketch book and pencils, then started to try and draw Shoutmon's earphones.

Upon the dismissal of class, Naoko and Titania remained behind, as requested. The former stood and took a seat at the front of the class, Titania flying after her. "Your class is a strange bunch." The fairy remarked. "They look like they've never read Peter Pan before..."
Naoko then perked a brow at John. "...I mean, sure, I'm willing to believe he's got experience with this but there's at least two other people in here counting me with their own things to say..." She mumbled. Titania meanwhile floated on ahead. "Sooo...Hakase. How long were you there? This morning?"
She had never really met the teacher variant of an Agumon before. She was trying to make the most of it.

After she had made her question to the class as it remained, she wasn't surprised when many of them remained, presumably to learn more about digimon. To this, Lise was slightly conflicted. Of course many would remain to learn more about them, after all, there were multiple living creatures of another world in existence in this room, who wouldn't want to learn more about them? But, still, she wouldn't act in ways that would add pressure to the situation. It was very delicate as it was, and she wanted it to end in a way that wouldn't end in a terse meeting with the headmaster informing her of her employment termination. So she would approach this with a level head and a simple goal - the attainment of knowledge.
Adrian asked if she had any further questions about digimon. For the moment, Lise would keep that in reserve. "I may have questions in a moment, thank you" she said. Then she turned to John, who was understandably concerned about the exam.
"Well, to be honest, John, as a newly enrolled student, your results in the exam won't be indicative of your overall results here" Lise began, but supposed she'd best put his mind at rest. "However, I advise that you still take it. If you study on your lessons in English from your time in America, you should at least be able to pass. If not, then you'd be able to figure out what areas you would need to study for in the next school year. I just advise that the exam will be designed to test students with a non-English background with their knowledge, so make sure to study the background and structure of the language".
Lise then turned to Naoko, whose remarks made her smile. "Yes, that's an apt observation there" she said, looking at Hakase. "From the moment he appeared I thought this was something of those stories. After all, we've all grown up watching television and movies where the unknown happens before our eyes. Simply flying into a panic about it would be such a waste of time, yes?"
Agumon then seemed a little startled as he was directly addressed. "Ah... well... I don't remember exactly, first thing I know was that I needed to get out of that egg because I heard a lesson going on, so I did, and... well... come to think of it, all I remember is what you saw of me" he finished with a nervous chuckle.
"Is that so?" Lise asked with interest. "You were conscious within the egg?"
"Yeah... and even before that" the Agumon professor replied, but as he tried to think further, he just felt sharp pain in his head. "Ah! Not... very well though, sorry, I'm trying and I'm just hitting a blank".
"Well, maybe relax your mind then, after all, you just hatched two hours ago" Lise said gently. She then turned to Adrian again. "Now, Adrian, it seems that I'm going to be taking care of Hakase here. Is there anything in particular I'd need to know? Would he be allergic to any kinds of food? Does he need to be kept in certain conditions? What would your advice be?"

"It's perfectly natural to ask questions, Ms. Hamelin," Adrian says. "Everyone involved with Digimon asks them sooner of later."
"They look so cute," Jitsuko states, going up to the red dragon laying on the windowsill and beginning to pet him. "Not as cute as cats, nothing will ever be cuter than them. But, cute in their own way..."
"Can you please stop touching me?" Shoutmon asked, not opening his eyes even once. Jitsuko took at as a message that meant if she kept doing it, bad things would happen, so she immediately stopped.
Adrian was caught off guard a little bit when the teacher began speaking to him again, this time about what foods Digimon can eat, and what conditions should they have. Adrian knew Digimon weren't all alike, so he just shared his experiences:
"Digimon have a tenancy to eat a lot of food in a day, so you gotta be sure to stockpile the fridge if this Agumon has a monster-sized appetite. As for allergies, I don't think many Digimon can get allergic to things. As for living conditions, that'll be left to Agumon to tell you. Digimon have different tastes.

John thanked Lise, and turned to the back of the book to write down "study Japanese sentence background and structure." before turning to Naoko, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply you or any of the others had less experience, it's just that this class may have knocked a few screws loose so I'm just trying to not freak out, it's not that hard to do but this is all very new to me and a lot of things I thought I knew as fact has been shattered in a short time frame." he was about to go back to his book when he looked back at Naoko's digimon, "Now that I think of it, I do have a question for you... I'm sorry I don't believe I caught your name? Guess I have two now. What other forms has your Digimon turned into, I'm sure she has more then Miss Hamelin's, right?" He asked, trying to smooth over annoyance he perceived she had with him."

"Well, sensei, I can safely say you did a good job of keeping things under control when faced with...a very unprecedented thing." Naoko nodded, before she turned to John. "Toriya Naoko. Nice to meetcha, uh...Titania can evolve to the Champion level--That's the adult stage, right now."
"I could go even further beyond if it weren't for that dumb device of yours." Titania scoffed. Presumptuous... Naoko then shrugged again. "Good to get that settled...Plus, i sort of know how you feel. My first interaction with these folks was...Wandering around a beach-side digital city and running into my sister and her own partner. And then eating crab cakes."
Titania meanwhile peered at Adrian. Then at Shoutmon. "What kind of hell do you go through, kid? Monster appetite?" She asked the human...That sounded horrifying.

Lise noted the interaction between Jitsuko and Shoutmon. It seemed they differed from pets in that they stated when they didn't want to be petted. Which was all well and fine. When a dog or cat was petted by a human and they didn't want to, often they would react in a more violent way. That Shoutmon had politely asked her to stop, that was one difference she would note.
Lise then listened to what Adrian told her, then glanced at Hakase. "I see. So you'd need a lot of food I presume?"
"Well... yeah, I guess I do!" Agumon said, giving a nervous grin. "I hope that won't be too much trouble. I'm not really fussy about what I eat either".
"Alright, I'll see what I can do" Lise answered, smiling back. She then turned to John, who seemed to be a little perplexed about things, but was holding it together. Lise could empathize with that, since she was doing the same. And, honestly? Talking about digimon in such a polite and calm manner seemed to be much more constructive than panicking about it all.
She then turned to Naoko, who seemed to be praising her about how she handled things. Lise pushed her glasses back up to the bridge of her nose and smiled. "Thank you, Naoko. I guess this is one of the times when remaining calm and determining the situation works out better than panicking about it, yes?" she replied.
But she was further curious. "Beach-side digital city... what do you mean by that?" she asked. "Do you mean there's a place where these cre- individuals come from?" she was curious.
Agumon Hakase was more interested in reading Lise's textbooks at this point and didn't intervene much.

"Yeah, most of the time us Digimon are not picky about what we eat at all," Shoutmon explained. "If it's food, we'll eat it."
Overall, today was a very... strange day. Adrian certainly did not expect the events that would go into motion. Still, it was nice that he didn't have to lie to Jitsuko anymore. If only he could tell his parents...
"Oh crap, I gotta get to my next class!" Adrian yells, looking at the time.
"Me too!" Jitsuko says as she heads out the door. "We can talk later, Adrian! See ya!"
As Rebecca made her way out the door as well, Adrian sucked Shoutmon back up into the D-Arc's V-Pet. He thanked Lise for understanding the situation, and headed out the door for his next class.

((note: The last part with Viximon is just a lead in to another thread I'm in that takes place right after this one, I am not trying to hijack this post.))
Johns curiosity was peaked at Naoko's brief story, taking a moment to look at the time as she talked before turning back to her. "A digital city huh? Sounds interesting, I'd be interested in hearing more sometime, but I have some things to do right now."
Getting up he then tried to do a casual bow, it was not as stiff but his hands still fidgeted. "I hope we can meet again someday, goodbye and thank you." With that he grabbed his stuff and headed out of the classroom.
Viximon slowly got up, making sure her leg was good enough to walk on before putting to much weight on it. "Well it doesn't hurt too much," she thought, "I should be able to move around but climbing's gonna be difficult. I think I can go back home now."
as she was walking to the school gate she heard a noise coming in that direction, cautious she slowly made her way to around the corner and saw some kind of career fair, "Huh, looks like some kind of event, I wonder what for?"
As she asked herself that she got an idea, looking at the door with a smirk on her face, Viximon waited for the right time to move.

"...Yeah. A whole world full of them. There's two ways to get there. One's by taking a certain train at the terminal--Roppongi Hills or something, and another's by jumping into a river." Naoko explained, noting that everyone seemed to be leaving to get to their next class.
Huh, maybe she should go too... "...Staying calm was probably the best thing to do, Hamelin-sensei. So...Thank you for that. I also apologize if Titania was any bit of a hassle--She's apparently a princess or a queen over in that world so...Yeah. Bit of an ego.
Titania was, notably, glaring daggers at Naoko. She also dived for the girl's backpack. Heading back to her desk, Naoko stopped, briefly. "If you want, I can ask Titania to show you and Hakase the way there! Just let me know after school!"
And with that, Naoko went for her next class.

Lise took in all of these lessons. "I see. I'll do my best to find food that Ark likes then" she said to Adrian and Shoutmon. It was then that she realized that she couldn't possibly ask these students to remain against their will any longer. "Yes, you're excused" she said, politely.
It seemed that John was also intrigued by the beachside digimon city. Lise could only hope that one day she would see it, but, supposed that would happen later as her job was rather involved these days. Lise bade farewell to him too.
Last to remain was Naoko. Lise listened to her advice keenly. To access the digital world, one would have to access a train at the Roppongi Hills terminal, or jump into a river. Lise rather favoured the first option, so that would be her course in future.
But Lise noted that Naoko stayed behind to let her know a little more. Lise patiently listened, giving a smile. "That's alright, Naoko. Thank you for keeping calm in all this too, it must have been a shocking event, but, I hope we're all better off for how things proceeded".
Then Naoko offered to show her how to get there after class. And, if Lise was honest, she was rather keen on taking her up on that. "Alright, but, only if you're comfortable about that" she said, not wanting to hold a student responsible for such an event as this. But, alas, class was over, and thus things had to be left as they were.
"Hm. Well... guess that happened then, Hakase?" Lise asked her partner as they were alone. "Are you alright with that name by the way?"
"Uhh... well... hearing you humans call each other by all those other names, well, if it'd be alright, could I please have a name too?" the Agumon Hakase asked. Lise smiled.
"Well, alright then" she said, then pondered. Agumon Hakase seemed to be enthusiastic about learning. Learning... what name would be good for that? It came to her at once. "Ark!" she exclaimed.
"Whuh?" Agumon asked, blinking.
"That's the name of one of the most famous human thinkers in history" Lise explained. "Archimedes. So, Agumon Hakase, would you be fine if I name you after him? Archimedes? Ark for short?"
"Oh..." Agumon didn't know what to say to this. But, the way she put it, that sure sounded exciting. "Sure! I'm happy with Ark if you mean it like that!"
And so that was how the day continued. Lise hid Ark from view in her further class, but wouldn't forget about him at all. And, by the end of the day, she'd be sure to reflect on all she had learned in all this.
