How long had it been since she last had someone visit? It had felt like months honestly; the digital world was slowly getting more and more dangerous from what she had heard from one of her remaining siblings. Something about these dark towers cropping up all over the place; much like the one that had affected some people earlier in the year.
It didn't much bother her that it was a problem; she didn't know how she could help or what to even do other than remain in the dragon valley. Playing with her siblings, taking care of the younger ones while her father was out hunting.
Now?
Well now she was currently looking over her next project. A full body chess set, it currently had sixteen of the pieces, but was missing all of the pawns. Honestly they were the least favorite of hers to do because she had to make them all look very simular if not exactly the same. It got tedious and she was never really one for detail.
Letting out a breath that sang far hotter than her siblings she'd gently start to caress one of the 'pieces' trying to figure out a design for the 'black' of the chess board. She had been using humans this time around as a base. Their form was simple and the Vorvomon was pretty certain that her proportions were correct [though they weren't and were pretty far off of what a human properly looked like].
She was maybe two hours into the day when she realized this error and sat down, looking over her 'work'. Frowning a little bit she'd rub her neck grunting in irritation at time wasted.
"Bigger pieces are such a pain; why did I think a full body chess set would work when I barely know what humans are like?"
The digimon snorted and shifted to go to her radio carefully turning it on and wincing when there was a burst of static signifying that it was 'on'. Music softly played out and the Vorvomon sat there quietly listening to it and staring at some of the other sculptures that sat around. The music was gentle compared to what most would expect, then again the radio was even lucky to pick up anything. She had been told by the trader that sold it to her that it had incredible range; but she only ever got one station. She'd snort and note that the morning dew had gotten on some of the sculptures while others seemed to be fine; she'd crane her head to look into the sky and frown a little bit more.
"Looks like rain today? Maybe I should see if father needs me in the nursery..."

Oh dear - rain now?
This was set to just be another expedition in the Valley of Dragons - Valeria, Ami, and Koneka knew the routes around here quite well at this point, enough to avoid the more aggressive hunting paths of the dragons in the area. It was also fortunate that the three hadn't run into anyone when they had to cross those paths... but it was just now making sense as to why. A few drops were already falling down, Ami holding her partner close as she and Koneka gave a short sprint.
"Sorry, thought I checked the forecast for today." Koneka sighed, the Gatomon shaking her head: "And we might be stuck for a bit. We can't use that entrance as an exit if we can't get a good foothold..."
"Still can't see why we can't just fly out." Valeria huffed, the bunny Digimon's cheeks puffing out, as Ami gave a small, nervous chuckle: "Because we'll just be spotted up in the air? So long as we lie low, we'll be fine. Portal will recharge in a few hours, anyway."
They had a plan, but for now, they needed shelter from the oncoming storm! Randomly picking a dark cavern didn't seem like the best option, so instead the three made the choice to hang a left, and try and duck under the cover in a craggy area... well. In their effort to avoid finding a dragon, they managed to find quite the dragon: a winged beast made of volcanic stone? Rushing into the area, the three gave an awkward blink, standing right out in the open. Warped sculptures aside - hey, dragons had hobbies! - it was a bit difficult to tell if this dragon was a threat.
Well... after a few moments, Ami gave a nervous smile and a small wave: "Er... hi? Nice to meet you?"
Sheesh... well, maybe that'll work. Koneka would rather not fight, after all - it might just attract more dragons to overwhelm them!

Even with the rain starting to rear it's ugly head and make some drops land against her rocky skin the Vorvomon ignored it. The small bits of water droplets simply hissed when they made contact with her. It would take heavy rain to make it so that her heat didn't keep her dry or make it so they evaporated entirely. She was pretty sure that if she was in any other area this would of been a problem.
Falzure sighed and moved her wing to cover the radio up until she sculpted a little alcove out of the rock it sat on so that it would be covered from the rain. She enjoyed her abilities to sculpt things and mold the world to how she saw fit. Even if it was small, even if if she got too excited things would melt. She relished in the idea of it honestly and wasn't paying full attention up until she heard someone approaching.
With a weary sigh the dragon turned her head; spotting the trio almost immediately. The dragon froze like a deer in headlights for all of a few seconds. Her jaw slowly dropped as two yellow eyes settled on Ami. The small nervous smile and wave; followed by the greeting only made the rookie digimon move slightly slower. But then it started and the dragon trotted over, sniffing at them curiously. A smile splitting her jaw from ear to ear before she started to speak... at almost three hundred miles a minute.
"You're a human! A Human! You look so different than the last one, are you a male too? Are these your friends? What's their names, are you an Tamer? Spirit user? What'syournamewhoareyouwhatdoyoudoforfundoyouwannaplaychesswithme?"
The dragon was practically bouncing while she circled the group, her tail even knocking over a sculpture that was in progress. But it didn't much matter to the dragon; she could always fix it later. Besides! there was a honest to god human in front of her.

Oh, dear - that stony dragon was coming closer, wasn't she?
Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any 'bite' in that step, more of a curious approach given as Frazure moved closer, trying to pick up the scent of the three of them - a scent that wouldn't be anything noteworthy, at least as far as they could tell.
"Careful, there..." Valeria muttered, holding back a glare that she wanted to give that dragon, the three of them more-or-less simply standing tense on the spot. But, soon enough, the illusion of the threat was broken... as Falzure started to excitedly circle around them, addressing Ami in an excited flurry of questions!
"Yes, they're my friends - hey, hey, careful there!" Her nervous smile widened a bit, chuckling at the sheer excited nature of the dragon. There were so many questions to parse, so many words rolling by that it was hard for any of them to keep up! Names? Gender? Type? Chess? So much of that sprang into the air, and Koneka wasn't exactly sure if the dragon would even hear their answers!
"W-well... no, I'm a female. I'm Ami," she gave a small pat on the bunny's head, "And this is my partner, Valeria. Standing next to me is Koneka." The Gatomon gave a small wave, her gaze still carefully set on the dragon. Well, that answered the first four questions - but the rest?
"... Chess?" Honestly, that was the one thing that really stood out, the cat taking a look at the various sculptures strewn about - even the fallen one coated in rock dust! "Ami, do you know how?" "Well... vaguely!" But so long as the rain was pattering down from above, did they really have a choice? "I mean, I can play - do ya have a board we could use?"
Because, well... moving the huge statue pieces around might not have been that easy!

Falzure paused slightly and tilted her head a little bit as she closed in on the group. She didn't quite catch what Valeria muttered but it didn't stop her from sniffing and flitting around nonstop. She was clearly excited and friendly; in fact this group was probably perfectly safe around the rookie as long as they didn't touch her. The bear sized creature was making a point of getting close but not touching them as she knew she probably would hurt them.
"Oh! Like me then! But not like me. Because if you were that'd probably be a touch confusing. We'd probably look like sisters or something. Well it's great to meet you all! My name is Falzure! I'm uh... A Vorvomon! At least that's what my dad says! He's a Volcanicdramon and you could kinda consider him the warden of our little crag. I can introduce you later if you want? He's really good with directions... Most people that come here are kinda lost! Unless you're not and just having fun out n about!"
She'd look between the three of them and beamed brightly however when what she asked was brought into question. Did they not know what chess was? There was a few long awkward moments and she'd consider quickly about a chess board that the human could use.
Putting her claws to her chin thoughtfully and scrunching her brow she'd cast about her molten wrapped eyes sprining from grouping to grouping before tutting. The dragon shook her head after a considerable amount of time.
"I've got two human sized sets, but they're really small and I don't want to melt them. If you could move my pieces that'd be great!"
The dragon beamed at the three with probably the toothiest grin that she could manage. There was also a moment and she'd flick her eyes from the three noting how they were kind of getting wet.
"Do you want to play in the cave? It's not wet in there and probably is warmer than out here!"

Frazure definitely proved to be the easily excitable type - somehow, in that string of words, Ami had managed to pick out the dragon's name! And some musings about being a sister and how her dad was pretty nice to travelers and how people got lost around here...
... Yeah, it was a lot to take in over such a short span, but it was easy enough to tell that Frazure was the friendly type. So friendly, in fact, that the clearly volcanic dragon hadn't offered a handshake or tried to inch any closer than she already did, even if that tail was flicking excitedly off in the background! "Well, don't get me wrong, we aren't really lost, but we needed a place to get out of the rain!" Returning a nervous chuckle, the tamer blinked as they moved onto the next point.
Huh. It made sense the pieces had to be a bit more durable - looking to Koneka, Ami gave a shrug: "If I asked, could you move them?"
"With the tail ring," She gave a flick of her tail, "I can probably manage."
That much earned a nod from Ami - with Valeria on her shoulder, she returned a nod to Frazure. "Um, sure, lead on." How big a cave was it, if those 'bigger' chess pieces were in there?
