Relieving as it was that the massive structure crumbled with Raidramon's last-ditch effort, that didn't satisfy Leith. It didn't even satisfy him that the Arresterdramon devolved and collapsed, rendering the immediate the threat neutralized. They certainly took a load off, but his friend was still down there, under the water, invisible, and had been for much longer than which which the Tamer was comfortable. Toki and the rest were all above the surface, so they were able to be drawn by Cion quicker than the drake digimon. Shit, shit, where is he? Leith kneeled by the side of his structure and scanned the water frantically but just couldn't see his digimon... until he did.
However, Leith felt little better noticing that Raidramon was not immediately moving. He wasn't able to finally breathe until Raidramon perked up his head and mumbled at the others, "...Where's Leith?"
Still able to hear through their comm link, Leith was able to instantly answer, "I'm right where you left me! Shit, Raidramon, you actually freakin' did it!" Even from so far away, Leith was able to spot his partner visibly relaxing with the confirmation he was unharmed. "Hey, don't act like that. I'm not the one you should be worried about right now!" he scolded his partner, apparently forgetting just how worried about himself he had just been. "Can you get over and give me a ride? I seem to recall making someone a promise."
"Huh?" Raidramon stood, a good sign, and apparently managed to swim to Leith with relative ease. Neither pain nor fatigue seemed to slow him down; all that did was the weight imbalance caused by armor damage. That wasn't enough of an obstacle to stop him from picking up his Tamer and transporting him back to where the rest of the group was gathered.
To Toki, he replied, "I'm not gonna lie: I really, really needed to hear every single word of that," sounding completely exhausted even if all he did was stand in one place and try to stay out of the way. His exhaustion was purely mental and emotional. "I don't know shit about these things, but you make it sound like there's more, and that... kinda freaks me out if I'm honest. Still, Raidramon: is he right?"
"I already feel completely recovered!"
"Yeah, well... bully for you. I still wanna fuckin' lay down." And that brought him to Cion. She looked different now, but not that different. Leith couldn't have supposed her level by looking at her, but she sure wasn't a rookie with healing like that. Normally, what Leith was about to do would have filled him with a bit of shame and humiliation, but right about then he couldn't think too hard on his personal pride. So he stood right in front of the medic and mumbled, "Hey... cat-fox-thing." This was intentional but not meant to be insulting, as was hopefully demonstrated by his deep bow to Cion. "Cion," he then amended himself, demonstrating he had indeed learned her name, "You really saved all our asses here. And I offended you earlier when I couldn't remember your name. I'm deeply sorry." When he rose he promised, "I'm sure as hell gonna remember it now." After a very long inhale followed by a strong exhale he concluded, "So, uh... can I go home now? Like, would that be rude or something? Seems like everything's done, but it's kind of a moment going on, so I'm not quite sure what to do here. But, uh..." Leith looked to Raidramon for reassurance. Raidramon couldn't think of what to say either. "...Yeah, you know what? I'm gonna go home. I need a goddamn nap."

Tiki's eyes widened as the Arnamon digivolved. While she didn't change that drastically in appearance, Tiki could feel her power was drastically greater. With amazement, the Ranamon turned to the stump of the control spire. "Such a thing can seal that much power?" she murmured with amazement. Either way, she was glad that it was gone. She moved toward where everyone else was gathering, letting Gumdramon rest on solid ground. Furthermore, Cion proceeded to heal the wounds of all in the battle. Tiki appreciated that, and Gumdramon even moreso, as he stirred from unconsciousness, coughing up a bit of water before opening his eyes. "Cuz! You alright there?" Tiki asked, urgently. It took a moment for Gumdramon to adjust. He looked around, seeing faces that were... familiar... yet at the same time he had never met them. He had seen a glimpse of them a moment ago, but... "Thanks, Cion, you're a gem" Tiki praised the Arniomon for healing them all, but... was her cousin going to be okay? "W-what happened?" the purple dragon asked, turning to his cousin for answers. Tiki hesitated in answering. Toki then spoke to her, the Ranamon giving a smile of appreciation for the kind words. But then Gumdramon's eyes opened with realization. While he hadn't been in control of his own body, he had remembered glimpses and fragments of memories. "Oh my god... I hurt you all, I'm sorry...""Easy there, cuz, you didn't mean to do any of that, and thankfully the evil thing that was controlling you didn't seem to do any lasting damage" Tiki assured him, but still, felt sympathies. "Tell you what, I'll cook you and the rest of the family up that seafood stew you like so much, how about that?Gumdramon seemed a little happier about that, but still, it was a lot to process. Tiki then turned to the rest of the group, glad to see that Toki and Raidramon also seemed to be fine. "I can't thank you all enough!" she said to them all. "You've all done a wonderful job here, risking your lives in bringing down that... that evil thing. You're always welcome in my house. And you can count on being always welcome in the Elysium Surface village!"But now was the time for rest, and they could all leave when they wanted to. Or even stick around for that seafood stew, it was the least Tiki could do for them.

"You did well though." Cion assured Toki that despite his relentless fervor he had displayed exceptional valor and hints of mastery of his digital form. Certainly a Champion was not actually powerful in the grand scheme of things, but it had absolutely sufficed to free an enslaved soul and destroy the structure that was responsible for this fiendish deed. For that, she gladly encouraged the kind boy to keep on pushing himself to his limits and beyond to ascend further. Every villain or villainous piece of architecture vanquished was without doubt an accomplishment worth pursuing.
Smiling due to the lad's gratitude and amazement, she nodded in approval of his suggestion. Another meeting under less strenuous circumstances was a splendid idea. Thankfully, they had already shared their numbers with each other, so if he felt like it he only had to call her. Allowing him to attend those who had fought alongside them, her attention shifting to Leith and his partner, an apparently unnamed Raidramon. Although at fist upset by the rascal's seemingly broken promise to not address her with insulting titles, his sincere bow quickly pushed negativity out of her mind.
Smirking faintly, it rapidly shifted into a rapt simper. "Of course I did - it's what I usually do. However... I gladly accept your apology. After all. you contributed to this endeavor as much as everyone else." The restrained Arniomon calmly showed her endorsement of the duo's presence, input and sacrifice. Delighted to hear that she had affected them in at least one way, Amused by the young adult's desire to rest, she turned away from him to secure his own way home. "Sleep tight."

Toki smiled warmly at Leith "Good luck out there, okay? And if you ever need anything don't hesitate to give me a call." he waved slightly and looked around the area one last time. Staying for food sounded lovely, but he had places to be in the Human World. He was heartbroken at Gumdramon's guilt, but with Tiki around he was sure he would have the love and support he needed to get past it. "I'll be sure to come along sometimes for a visit. You two take care, okay?" he smiled at the two Digimon before he started to walk away.
He paused somewhat at Cion's words "Heh...thank you. I will continue to do well. Better than well." he looked up at the sky "Humans...Digimon...we're all in these worlds together. Different, but the same. We're all connected in some way and that's something many should see. The things I do to help people...I hope they inspire others to see the value in kindness and good will. There's a lot that's difficult in both worlds, but that's precisely why we have to stand together." he said. He rubbed the back of his head and laughed "Sorry, that must sound kind of dorky. I truly mean what I said though. I will continue my adventures here and get stronger so I can better fight alongside everyone and protect them. And I won't be alone." he looked at his digivice "I'll never be alone."
Once more, he looked over at Leith "Take care of your Digimon and he'll take care of you. You're friends, after all! You two are lucky to have each other's backs through these crazy adventures."
His goodbyes were finished and he soon opened a portal back home. He looked back one last time, waved, and stepped through. Toki had accomplished a lot today, and he was going to rest.

That was from two people, then, that Leith was told that he specifically did indeed pull his own weight. Just below the fact that he survived the encounter, that was about the best thing to come out of this whole debacle. What do you know? Maybe we earned some of that respect back after all. Definitely not all of it, of course, but maybe half? Of course, then there was the matter that Toki sure seemed to be warming up to Leith. Something about this guy seems to pure, almost fake. He reminds me of my old boss. Out of politeness the young man agreed, "If I find a way to contact you, you'll be the first to know the next time we almost die," to the oddly unconditional offer of further assistance.
What was that crap about taking care of Raidramon, though? "Me? Take care of him? I can give him a roof and food, but beyond that he seems to be doing most of the caretaking around here!"
"Guilty," Raidramon agreed with a smirk.
As Toki opened up that portal, Leith started to ask, "Hey, do you mind if I come with-?" But the portal closed before Leith could get the whole question out. "-and he's gone. I guess we're taking the long way home. Hey, do you mind if-"
"You don't have to ask," Raidramon cut his Tamer off as he lay down flat, making himself easier to mount by his Tamer.
"Thanks... you sure you're good?"
"Do you want that nap or not?"
"No further questions."
