The Way You Make Me Feel [Haru]

Thanks to Solomon's and Haru's efforts, Ayumi slowly got herself back under control. However, her head was still a hurricane of thoughts and worries. Just...what the hell was wrong with her? Why was she so confused? Oh, she's such a freak! Once she had calmed down enough she just sat down on the ground, staring down at the ground. "I...I don't understand anything...I know so much, but these things... I don't understand anything...I only know...that I'm a freak...abnormal." Solomon's facial expression once again did not change, but the glare in his eye as he looked at Tawna was -frightening-. He clearly blamed this on the cat, at least partially. "You are not a freak, Ayumi. You are a normal person, as everyone else is. You are a scientist, are you not? If you do not understand something, you should get up, and set out to understand it." Ayumi then looked back up, looking back at Solomon and Haru with tear-smidged glasses. The sudden influx of tears had managed to wash one of her contact lenses out of her eye, which allowed dragon and human a first look at Ayumi's true, blue eye colour.

Tawna while normally was a pretty lax individual regarding most others, not much getting under her skin around allies these days... but she had to admit, Solomon was able to slightly unnerve her. The Meicoomon awkwardly rubbed the back of her head, her vision directed away from the rather miffed Monodramon.
If there was one thing that could miff Haru, it was the way that Ayumi was acting... Its just that that... It reminded too much of herself in the past. Haru was going to have none of this. The girl's face took on a stoic, but caring look as she took Ayumi's hand. "Don't say those ugly things... You are wrong. You are legit one of the smartest people I've ever known! There is nothing freaky or abnormal about you... and if there is, than who cares? That doesn't change my opinion of you!" the girl spoke with a fierce, but tender fire in her eyes...
"Normal is subjective." Tawna idly spoke, keeping a bit of a distance away from the pair of humans... and irritated Monodramon.
Haru seemed to pause as she struggled to figure out what else to say... There was too much she wanted to tell Ayumi. She wanted to let her know everything was okay, and that no one here would judge her. She was starting to understand why Ayumi was perhaps undergoing this revelation... but that wasn't anything to worry about. She was the last person to judge perhaps what genders someone like. "I-I... I just want to tell you, its okay... There is nothing wrong about you. It doesn't change that you're one of the coolest people in the world to me."

Ayumi looked back and forth between the dragon and the human. Their words were kind, they touched her deeply! She was so happy to have such wonderful friends! But...this did not calm down her confusion, the maelstrom of thoughts and emotions in her brain. Once the very notion had entered her mind, it had set loose an avalanche. Unstoppably, all repressed memories, thoughts and emotions came gushing forth, making the girl tremble with sheer uncertainty about who or what she liked. "Th-th-th-thank you two...I...I just don't know anymore...I am so confused now...about myself, about *everything*...I don't even know where to start with myself..." She put her head in her hands, trying to calm down. Without another word, Solomon embraced her with his wings. "Shhhh...take all the time you need."

Haru could tell that Ayumi was really needing time to think about all of this... With well, good reason she supposed. It seemed like Ayumi was undergoing a revelation of a sort here, and while Haru wanted to help them; this was probably something better left for Ayumi to dwell upon rather than trying to force the issue. "Its okay to be confused, Ayumi... I mean, look at me; my whole life is confusing! Like Solomon said, its okay to take your time..." the girl softly spoke, smiling warmly as she gently placed an arm around their shoulders. "How about... we go get you something to eat or drink? Maybe something light for your stomach? It might help."
Provided Ayumi was willing to move, Haru was happy to escort them out of the lab with Solomon's help, Tawna tailing somewhat behind wanting to give everyone some room. Haru didn't have a whole lot on her mind in regards to herself, her attention was merely drawn to Ayumi and making sure the albino's balance was alright. A quick trip through the elevator would was all it would take to lead them to the kitchen, Haru helping to seat Ayumi down. "D-Do you want me to cook something for ya? I mean... I'm not THAT good, but I can make at least food."

Ayumi looked down, lost in thought, but then nodded. "Y-y-yeah, something to eat would be nice..." With Haru's help, Solomon escorted his tamer to the kitchen. He wasn't used to Ayumi being this quiet and unsure. This matter must be really occupying her mind. As a Digimon, he did not see an issue, but he was empathetic enough to not mention that. If it was an issue to -her- then it was not his place to say anything about his own view.
In the kitchen, Ayumi was still completely lost in thought, but she did nod when Haru asked if she wanted her to cook something. Solomon quickly joined Haru's side. "I am willing to assist your cooking endeavors, if you want me to."

One thing that did occupy Haru's mind was that Ayumi seemed... not entirely lucid. They seemed to be really struggling to figure out what to say or even think here, which did upset Haru. She didn't like her friends being upset in any capacity; it was just something within her nature that pained seeing people like this. She couldn't do too much else at the moment but try to be a shoulder to support Ayumi, but it didn't mean she had to like it. She smiled seeing Solomon so willing to cooperate, giving the violet dragon a nod. "Thank you! When I or Naoko were ever down, my mom always would make like pancakes for us... How do you like them, Ayumi?" the girl thanked the Monodramon as she addressed back to the contemplative albino, flashing a supportive smile.
Tawna had jumped into another nearby chair, their eyes widened with excitement as their fur fluffed up more than normal. "Make something with chocolate! A-And blueberries!" the Meicoomon somewhat excitably spoke as she banged at the table somewhat childishly with her paws... a rare moment where Tawna was not a complete stick in the mud. Food just was one of those things that got her riled up.
"Long as you don't go asking for some bleach added in or something... We have to make this edible for humans too ya know?" the girl somewhat snarkily spoke as she began to dig in the kitchen cabinets... pulling out various ingredients such as flour, baking powder, and of course sugar. "Solomon? Can you measure like six cups of flour for me?" the girl asked as she handed Solomon a measuring cup from one of the cabinets, soon moving to the fridge...

Ayumi nodded, looking at the floor. She definitely had to sort through a -lot- of memories and emotions right now. Solomon gently patted her shoulder. "Will you be okay, Ayumi?" She just nodded again. Solomon sighed, but then turned to Haru. "Yes, let us go and make pancakes." Together, they entered the kitchen. It was now completely safe to cook things here after Usako had detoxed the appliances after the previous owner of the Library had concocted chemistry experiments in here. Solomon, upon being asked for flour, nodded and prepared the cups for Haru. He also found some baking chocolate and a few bits of fruit for the pancakes! As much as he was itching to cook himself, well, it was probably better if Haru did this alone.

Haru was not going to hide that she could tell this was not very easy for Ayumi... It was clear to her that they were experiencing a lot of emotions, but she wanted to make sure they knew they had people who cares about them. She smiled as Solomon brought over some ingredients for her, just enough that she'd be able to work with! "Thank you Solomon... I promise this won't take too long, so how about you go comfort Ayumi?" she sweetly spoke, getting to work with assembling everything.
As Haru worked on trying to get the initial batter made, Tawna somewhat boredly gazed at her surroundings... though soon back to Ayumi. She didn't really get why the pale albino seemed to react so adversely by these romantic shenanigans... What was so big a deal about they realizing they like girls? Gender wasn't really something Tawna considered much frankly, so it was a confusing concept overall. "... Hey. I'm... kinda curious. Is there something wrong with girls liking girls among you humans?" the feline curiously asked, hoping least Ayumi would at least snap back to reality somewhat.

Ayumi's deep thought was disturbed by Tawna's question. Huh? Is...there something wrong with liking girls?...up until a few minutes ago she did not even know girls could love girls. Everything around her, from the media she consumed to the authority figures that taught her how the world worked, told her that girls liking girls was a silly thing school girls do when they mess around, before they meet the "right boy". It was a phase, girls usually love boys. And yet, now she was to be liking girls? Her entire world had stopped making sense within the blink of an eye! "I...I...I...i just don't know!" Ayumi broke out into tears again, just as Solomon entered. He stopped a bit when he saw Ayumi cry, then rushed over to embrace her. The look he gave Tawna was terrifying, icy cold anger behind unmoving pupils. It was clear that if this had been her fault there would be hell to pay. "Could you enlighten me why Ayumi is crying, Miss Tawna?"

... Humans were weird. With how close she was to Haru and the Field Club, she thought she was finally getting a hang of knowing how they work. It seemed like a harmless question than, but that immediately set off Ayumi into hysterics once again... and Solomon was not happy.
Ouch... That was a damn look that could kill.
Well... better to be honest, right? Ayumi really seemed like they were needing a lot of help, and hey she couldn't be faulted for trying... right? Its what Haru would have wanted too after all. "I just asked if there was anything wrong with human girls liking girls... Cause honestly, I don't see why thats an issue." the feline spoke, she awkwardly gazing back to Ayumi... before offering one of her scarf-like tendrils to the girl to try to help clean up those tears. "... Miss Ayumi? Love is just kinda something that happens, doesn't it? Its... just when you find like someone you can talk to and relate in a way that you feel like you could open your heart out to them." the Meicoomon spoke, trying to kinda parrot some of the feelings she felt with Mikemon a while back... it probably was the same, right? Their relationship with K was... very close. Maybe just as much as her own with Haru?
Actually... that was a good analogy. "Listen. When I've Biomerged with Haru, I share everything with her... Feelings, memories. It might not be exactly like the love that I believe we are talking about, but we're very different people... Yet I know Haru trusts me fully, even knowing just who I am and what I have done. She loves everyone, and I admit... I sometimes don't grasp how she can extend that love to so many." she quietly spoke... remembering that momentous first time they Biomerged... a memory she was likely to never forget. It was the first time she felt like she truly was alive. "I'm just saying... I don't think a gender should get in the way of whether you can or cannot like like someone."

Solomon held Ayumi, listening to Tawna was saying. Honestly, he did not expect the cat to actually try and cheer her up. He had expected her to get Haru to do that instead. And the things she said had much thought put into them. When she was done, Solomon nodded at her. "Thank you, Tawna. I apologise for my harsh tone." Then he turned to Ayumi. "She is right. What gender someone is means nothing. If you like them, you like them. I know that until now you did not know girls can even love girls. Take your time. Take all the time you need to sort out your mind." Ayumi nodded, and managed to choke out a "thank you..." to both Solomon and Tawna. The dragon then turned back to the cat. "I do not think we can imagine what is going on in her head. Let us give her some time."

Tawna managed to breathe easier now that Solomon was not glaring daggers at her now. Fortunately, their words it seemed managed to reach Ayumi at least; they calming down silently. "Take your time. Go with what your heart tells you." Tawna softly spoke as she sat back in her chair... giving the pale woman time to themself.
Several minutes later, a delicious smell could begin to waft in the air... and with a couple more, Haru finally came back in with a huge tray of flapjacks with what looked like chocolate chips baked in... more than enough to feed a family! "Give me another sec! I'll get some whipped cream and syrup, plus some plates! Anyone want milk?" the gogglehead cheerfully asked, though noticed Ayumi's rather... solemn state. "... Are you feeling a lil' better Ayumi-kun?"

Ayumi looked up when Haru asked her how she is feeling. "H-h-h-huh? Oh, y-y-yeah, I am ok, just s-s-s-still confused and unsure about a lot of things...I don't think this will pass within minutes...for the first time I am confronted with a mystery I have no answer to..." For all her intelligence, concerning her own emotions and inner life, she was quite naive and uneducated, still. Solomon just patted his Tamer. "I can imagine there are a lot of this you still need to sort out. Again, take your time. Important is that you come to a conclusion, not that you do so fast." Ayumi just nodded.

Haru was a patient girl with her friends... She could tell poor Ayumi was struggling to figure this all out, but she wouldn't rush them. "No, I getcha Yumi. It might be a little daunting, but I know you'll be fine. We all have questions we're trying to answer too, so its not weird to not know something." Haru softly assured the short albino as she made Ayumi and Solomon a plate... And of course, one for Tawna too. A stack of jacks that were half as big as the feline... How did something so small have such an appetite? "Here ya go ya bum. Just remember this is your dessert today."
Tawna was already in the middle of decorating her food with as much whipped cream as she could feasibly use to cover the breakfast items. "Milk?" they asked as they gazed at their tamer.
"C'mon, you got two feet! Go use them! Bring some cups and the jug too." Haru scolded the cat's laziness, earning them a slight groan from Tawna as they scrambled to the kitchen. As she settled down in a chair by Ayumi, the gogglehead gave the girl a warm smile... placing a hand by theirs. "Maybe... Do you want me to maybe kinda share my own feelings about well... I guess what I think about the whole girl love thing? Maybe it'd help you understand things a little better? I want you to feel better Ayumi."

When the pancakes were set down, Ayumi grabbed one of hers and began eating it by hand. Solomon, on the other hand, sat down at the table, picked up one with fork and knife, and began eating it slow and properly. He had done his part. He would continue to be there. But the core of the matter was up to Ayumi to solve on her own, with the help of Haru most likely. He was a guy, and a Digimon. The matter of human girls liking girls was beyond him.
Ayumi turned, and just nodded at Haru's offer to explain her own feelings. Perhaps that will help her understand.
