"Hah hah hah..."
Jeremiah was exhaused. He had been told that this godforsaken forest could be a good place to find some recruits for his army, but before he knew it, he was lost. His Loader was no help, and his two digimon, while good at infiltration and special ops, were no good in location a way out of a forest. He would have been fine with that, because at least he would have been able to eventually wander out if that was it. But of course, life would be boring if it was that simple.
The forest was a dangerous seeming place at the best of times, but after wandering around for what seemed like hours, he realised that he wasn't the only one in here. Something seemed to be stalking him, and he didn't plan on sitting there and letting whatever monstrosity that inhabited this forest find and eat him. So, he ran. Invariably getting more lost in the process, but he wasn't going to risk fighting, and potentially getting injured, unless it was a last resort.

One moment, the cold hum of a computer screen, the quiet sound of a fan blowing on low, total darkness, other than that dim little light from the monitor. The next, leaves, grass, trees, sounds of the forest - what the hell had happened? Nobody else seemed to be around, so the only thing to do was to try to get a hold on herself.
Rise had only taken but two steps into this new world when she felt a force run right into her as she stepped from behind a bush, almost knocking her on the ground. The neon-haired girl immediately got into a defensive stand, ready to take down whatever threat had appeared.
What had was not expected, a thin man in a suit, combed blonde hair and spectacles. Her right eye twitched, instantly switching from on the defense to annoyed. "Who the fuck do you think you are, dweeb?" Was he the reason she was here? "Why am I here, give me answers or I'll beat them outta you!"
Nobody would hold Rise Kyoryu captive in some weird forest.

Trees, bushes, sticks, and the horrible noise of something chasing him. Nothing in this forest ever seemed to change, that was, until he felt something impact off of him. Fearing another digimon, he instantly pulled out is Xros Loader, ready to call his own partners to fight.
He was surprised, therefor, to find a pink haired female bounding away from him, also looking ready to fight. His eyebrows continued rising in shock as this pinkette began to berate, and then threaten him. Ridiculous. At least the shock of encountering someone as barbaric as this person had given him some time to catch his breath. Small benifits.
"Firstly, of most importance. I do not feel the need to give someone as insignificant as you my name. Secondly, you're in the digital world, you imbecile." He heard cracking sounds behind him, as whatever had been chasing him started to get closer. "Thirdly, if you would please stay here and die for me, that would be, well, expected of you."
He adjusted his glasses, trying to find if there was any obvious way. Finding none, he decided to just keep going straight. "If there is nothing else, I must be going. Your sacrifice will be remembered."

"Who the hell do you think you are, buddy?" Rise's teeth gritted together, her face turned a shade redder, and her tone even more pissed off. "Nothing like you is going to talk to me like that! And you ain't going anywhere, and I ain't doin' anything for you either!" Her shouting was likely attracting attention, should there be anything in this forest.
The girl would hold her arm out stiff as the dandy boy tried to make a run for it, hoping to clothesline him and stop the escape. Digital World? She just caught that he said something about that. Probably more bullshit from a worthless liar.
If successful, she would look down upon him, but if not, she would run after him. Regardless, four-eyes better be spitting out some real answers before he gets pounded into next week.

The pinkette lifted her hand up, and he had to put his own arms out, cushioning the impact. Still bouncing back, but managing to, in an extremely ungraceful, ungainly way, keep his balance. He glanced over his shoulder, an obvious look of worry in his eyes. Pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration, he shook his head and threw his arms up.
"Insolent girl. Fine, you may call me Jeremiah, you're in a fucking computer, and we're about to be killed by a virus? Happy now, you wretch?" And edge of panic was stressing out the biting tone he spat those words out in. Crackling was heard through the forest, trees groaning under what sounded like intense pressure. Roots were winding their way towards the small clearing that the two found themselves in.
"Congratulations, you toad. We both get to die now." The trees from where Jeremiah had fled cracked apart, large gnarled hands pulling them apart, as glowing yellow eyes peered at the through the darkness. Towering over the pair, was a large, and angry, Woodmon.

"In a...computer...you're fucking kidding me." She didn't believe him for a second, that was the stupidest thing she had ever heard. However, there was a panic in the man's voice. Maybe he believed it. Maybe he was on drugs.
"Dead? Wait, did you just call me a goddamn toa-" Rise's sentence was interrupted as a massive creature rose from the foliage. It was a large, broken tree, but it had arms, legs, and worse of all, a rather sharp mouth. There was no explaining this, she simply couldn't believe what was before her eyes. The girl stood blankly, clearly in shock by what she was seeing.
"Oh, well, crap." Her eye suddenly twitched, as if she couldn't hold an emotion other than anger for more than a couple seconds. "Wait, wait, wait, I ain't dying to some living Halloween decoration!" She clenched her fists. "Come on, you big dumb idiot, let me punch you!"
A battle cry to an unknown monster. She was either very confident, or very stupid. Though honestly, it was a mix of both.

The fact that she didn't believe him took him by absolutely zero surprise. He doubted someone as seemingly dense as this was able to use a computer for more than scrolling facebook and candy crush. And yet, here she was, in a place that was likely made up of Ones and Zeros. What a waste.
This thought flitted across his mind as he stared his apparent death in the face. It wasn't like he hadn't tried to fight it before. Even with both of his Sealsdramon, this thing outmatched them. And it seemed like she didn't even HAVE a digimon. And she just wanted to punch the thing. Unbelievable.
He took a step back, debating on whether or not he should just flee. He could leave her to get eaten by a tree, and use that time to get even further away. After this brief, albeit unplanned rest, he was feeling up to the task.
The Woodmon, had picked up on this far easier looking food. This human girl who had the gall to want to punch him. He let out a loud roar, spreading its arms wide, as if to dare this pesky human to even attempt to attack him. Its eyes focused on her, glinting in anticipation at the meal it was about to receive.
"Ugh. We should have just run." He pointed to the Woodmon, and two shadows appeared from out the trees, the two Sealsdramon attacking the Woodmon from behind in synch. "Deal with him, and try to prevent the girl from dying."

This monster dared to taunt her? It was just wood, just a tree, and those didn't have much endurance. They were destroyed by the wind, by man, and here man would not be conquered by nature. Rise looked onward, and leaped towards the creature with determined fury.
Her right fist made contact, but the wood did not crack. It was much harder than she thought, but now was not the time to think. Her hand hurt, but she could still use the other one to grab onto monster, which she did. Which probably wasn't a good idea.
The part the neon girl managed to grab onto was the monster's arm, which then flung her into a nearby tree with enough force to cause her to cough up blood. She slumped down, as most humans would be down for the count at this point.
But she was not most humans. Something deep inside her growled, beckoned her to stand back up and face the enemy. Two more monsters joined the fray, but she couldn't make them out. Everything was slowed down, her vision was blurred, and she ran forward, not knowing what she would do next.

That punch did, shockingly, absolutely nothing except get the girl toasted. Something that Jeremiah did not understand the point of. Who thought they could punch a tree? You had to punch pretty fast to break through one of those. He considered going over to check if she was alright, but she stood up by herself, glaring at the tree.
"Maybe next time you could try kicking it?" A sarcastic tone followed by an eyeroll, he looked back to the giant tree. It seemed that the girl hadn't been completely useless, as while she was distracting it, Alpha had managed to grab one of the large, wooden arms. With a resounding crack, and a pained roar from the Woodmon, Zeta dropped down onto it at the joint, snapping it off, leaving the arm in Alphas grasp.
The woodmon turned around, his eyes blazing with fury, and slammed his fist into Zetas chest, crumpling it as he was sent flying into Alpha. Zeta pushed the collapsing Alpha onto the ground, getting up to circle the enraged Woodmon.

Everything was still blurry, and the only thing that mattered at the moment was the battle ahead. Jeremiah had said something, but Rise couldn't understand what it was in this state. It wasn't important. The only thing that was, was the battle.
The girl's cyan eyes changed to an orange, before she threw her hands over her face and let out a primal scream. Something was telling her to fight, something deep within her soul. None of this made any sense, but following this instinct. Her phone radiated from her pocket, soon emitting a blinding light that cloaked her body.
When she was visible again, she was vastly different. Now covered in rock, and shaped like a winged dinosaur, she too, was a monster. Still focused on the battle, the first thing she did as Vorvomon was charge into the Woodmon, spitting out hot magma to try to set it ablaze.

Jeremiah watched in amazement as the girl changed into a digimon. This was something that he had heard of while in the Digital World, but this was his first time actually seeing it. It was... odd. Though effective, by the looks of it. The Woodmon screamed in pain as the glob of magma hit it in the chest, searing its way through its body. It was kind of horrifying in its own way.
The next second her body impacted with the melted, charred remains of its chest, knocking the giant tree back, and over. Jeremiah raised his hand, and Alpha took the opportunity to rip off the Woodmons other working arm, leaving only its small lower arms left. Data was flowing out of the many wounds, the once ferocious woodmon now cowering before the pair.
All that was left to do, was to finish the Digimon.
