Arc 1 - Fall of the Dark Area
Events:
The Corrupted Fighters - 1 2 3 4
Summary:
At this point, detail was scarce - the world was simply caught unaware by a threat that the Digital World had not seen in ages - the D-Reaper. Its appearance was sudden and the response relatively unorganized, taking no time at all to dominate and control the first wave of offenders. This event was not without loss: nearly the entire initial response group was wiped out, and even a few of those who came to face them met their own end.Lasting Events
It would eventually become known that this incident happened for a particular reason: that of an effigy of the Sovereign falling to dust under its own pressure. Pressure began to mount in an attempt to find the other three - but even in this sort of circumstances, there are those waiting to take advantage of the chaos.
- The Dark Area now has no protection against the D-Reaper. Even though the main nest may have fallen, in areas of intense battle or corruption, agents or even the mass of the D-Reaper can still arrive.
- Cion is carrying a spirit totem, corrupted by the D-Reaper.
- Faluo and K fell in combat.
Arc 2 - Luminas' Response
Events:
Exposition
An Outside Source
The Spirit Wielders - 1 2 3
Sighting of the Mastermind
Repairing a Legend
Summary:
With the existence of the Effigies known - as well as the evident stress that had destroyed the Effigy of the Phoenix in the Dark Area - it only became natural that those in power in the Digital World would try and rehabilitate the other three effigies to prevent the same threat from happening again. Through much research, it became known that the Effigy of the Lion, Baihumon, existed somewhere in the Northern Mountains, and that the use of a certain material could track their coordinates. Luminas sent forth a group of four, fighters and researchers in an attempt to repair the statue.
Unfortunately, it was not to be so simple: somehow, the information was leaked, and a number of hired hands - spirit users - attacked in an effort to steal the stones. By circumstance or travels of their own, these efforts were thwarted by an outside party - many members of the Field Club - and soon the expedition was back on track.
At the center, however, one member of the assisting group, previously infected by the D-Reaper, felt a violent thought hold over her mind: Destroy the Statue. She resisted with all her might, and with the quick effort of her partners, she was separated before any potential damage could be caused. And thus, the statue was revitalized... but from it, came quite the curious creature.
Lasting Events
- The Effigy of Baihumon was repaired, and thus the D-Reaper cannot persist in the north.
- Cassandra's own infection with the D-Reaper worsened to a point where a cure is unknown.
- A Calumon has, for the time being, taken residence with the Field Club.
