Hunter was hurt.
There was no denying it: her leg was damaged enough to put it into phase, her right arm was rendered unusable, and her frame heavily damaged. Even in this short jog, she could tell that she couldn't move exactly how she wanted to, this simple action of an approach taking quite the strain on her leg. She grit her teeth, however, refusing to show any of those concerns on her face.
Keep the focus up. Calm, calm... I'm still able to fight back. Its just a matter of finding that one moment.
Perhaps that was the difference: even elevated to this form, Tawna was still more a 'bear' than a 'cat', slipping right back into her habits of anger and direct force. A small glance over her shoulder revealed the Crossmon held in almost an equal amount of anger. One rushed headlong towards her front, and one ran headlong into her back. These two were running fully on their emotions, perhaps completely forgetting any strategy they had in this fight.
It mattered little: with their rapid approach, and with Hunter's legs too battered to move, only one thought emerged in Hunter's addled mind. Her left hand gave a harsh red glow, one extended right over her palm - before she simply clasped her hand tightly around them. In that moment, a small but powerful detonation rocketed out, forcing smoke outward from Hunter's position. Crossmon and Raguelmon would likely find themselves lost in the crowd, but from the distance, Fladramon would more clearly see what had happened:
Hunter's body would have been flung out, at a ninety degree angle from either fighter. She had lacked the speed to dodge normally, so she instead relied on a Delay Bomb - making just one, powerful enough to throw herself from her standing position off to the side. That, however, wasn't the issue:
Tawna and Titania would still be approaching each-other, at full throttle, likely with the bloodlust with the intent to kill the MeiCrackmon before them. Rushing in with such force?
It was very likely that those weapons would be forced right into the smoke, right towards the very ally that aimed dead-center at the cat.
Log:
Hunter, unable to use her legs her dodge, instead forces the detonation of a 'Delay Bomb' to fling herself sideways - leaving Tawna and Titania's attacks on their prior route without disturbance.

"W-Well, for one, we got an SOS signal from the area around the Sakkakumon and decided to come see what was going on, but...While we were expecting something dangerous, I wasn't expecting -that- cat..And if we had stayed outside, Tawna and Titania would've been weakened, likely. N-Not that...it'd have changed anything..."
It was as truthful an answer as Naoko could muster. She was trying to get a glance at the combat which was growing harder and harder by the second.
Meanwhile.
The Hunter was out of actually evasive options, so she was improvising them. Unfortunately for Crossmon, this left her on a direct collision course with Tawna. Fortunately?
This wasn't the end of the world. She could fix this. As she slammed clawfirst into the Rasielmon, the rusted monstrosity hissed out a few words. "Fly. Kill her. End this." As it yanked it's claws out, it tried to grab hold of the Rasielmon, and while still moving, somehow convert all that momentum into...
Throwing the goddamn angel at the goddamn cat. No, really! She rose into the air and spun like a top before releasing Tawna like a projectile aimed sideways towards the Hunter! Would Tawna make good use of this? Well.
She's the one with foresight here.

Tawna's rage was at a peak... Even just seeing this injured creature weakly move towards her goaded her into a fierce trance, one that discarded reason for anger. Sure she had the guise of a wise, angelic figure... but deep down, she was still a caged animal... and that wrath was directed to the Hunter. Was it wise going in so recklessly? Hell no. Unfortunately for her, she had no time to cancel her attack before she noticed something off...
That cat... They just explosive jumped?! Even in the state they were in, they still were capable of toying with them like this?! The Rasielmon's heightened reaction times managed to halt her own approach so as to avoid eviscerating her ally... but Titania was not as fast in this regard. The possibilities... they were disappearing. The look of panic on the angel's face as she realized there was nothing she could do to prevent that Crossmon's claws from sinking into her body... It was painful.
Sure enough... the actual blow? Agonizing. However... even through the pain, as data bled from her... New possibilities opened up in a manner the Rasielmon did not expect. A scarred, rusty voice beckoned her a single wish... before hurling her at the escaping Hunter! An improvised technique against another improvised technique... No, this was not the optimal strategy.
But it will do.
As she felt her body hurled with great velocity, Tawna wielded the blade in her hands as she aimed its tip... her radiant wings managing to allow her to control her flight as she aimed the blade once more... throwing the blade of thunder at the Hunter to try and plunge it into them!
A death-or-glory attack. But whom would be the glorious one?
Tawna has taken heavy damage from Storm Iris... but is weaponizing Titania throwing her at the Hunter by throwing the blade from Eden's Armory to try and plunge it into the Hunter.

Realistically, it wasn't likely that the Crossmon was going to be injured in this exchange - it was much easier to hold back a swing of a weapon rather than the force of one's entire body, and Crossmon definitely had a lot more weight to throw around in that department! Rolling once on the ground, before quickly scrambling up to her feet, the Hunter kept her focus entirely on that cloud of smoke.
Smoke that would dissipate a moment later, at the force of Crossmon's claw smashing right against Tawna's torso. A bare smirk crept at the end of Hunter's lips, the very data stripping away from Tawna's wounds magnetizing to a sharp blue almost immediately as it became free. She'd take every bit she could, to recover, to strengthen herself, and to eventually overwhelm the two megas before her. However, the pair had other ideas: a reckless throw forced the Rasielmon in her direction, Hunter's eyes narrowing in focus once more. Even as she continued to load that data, the MeiCrackmon calculated her response - and her move would be made just as Tawna threw that weapon. That blade sunk right into her left shoulder, Hunter gritting her teeth as her central tail shot forth, intent on piercing Tawna right through her front - the side tails moving a moment later to try and grip its prey by the side.
Her focus was drawn entirely on Tawna, of course, and that weapon burned heavily away at her frame. She doubted she could last too much longer... but that was only if she couldn't feast on this Rasielmon's data!
Log:
Hunter starts to load the fallen data from Tawna's frame. As the Rasielmon is thrown in her direction, she's struck and pierced by Eden's Armory - and moves to counter with a Viscous Sting from below, using the 'Raguelmon' tail dead-center and the side-tails, if in range, on the sides.

If there was one thing that Tawna regretted dearly... it was that they even treaded upon this damned hive controlled by this wretched beast. If they had never came here, Haru would have still been here... and as she was put into increasingly dire straits, the frightening possibilities that this damnable form plagued her with were becoming more and more likely. She managed to land her blade with precision... but she was in no position to evade the tails.
The Hunter's Raguelmon-like stinger pierced into the Rasielmon, shattering the pink jewel at their waist as the remaining tails held her in place... The angel's emerald eyes widened as pain wracked her body, she unable to do anything but let it happen.
No... There was one thing. If she was to die here, she'd go down kicking and screaming. There was still a chance... There was still a chance she could avenge Haru and live to see another day. She had to believe that they could still make a future here!
The angel roared with a ferocious screech, more indicative of perhaps a certain alter-ego of the form... she thrusting her gauntlet claw into the beast's breast as she channeled as much of her power she still had left into one last move, electric energy crackling in the air. "KNOWLEDGE STREAM!"
And in one chaotic flash... she fired.
Tawna was hit by Vicious Sting and is badly-injured... but she is attacking the Hunter with a point-blank Knowledge Stream.
Knowledge Stream - Gathering and freely mixing energy through magic circles materializing by her claws, Rasielmon unleashes an elemental burst attack composed of all the elements. Alongwith simultaneously being all elemental typings at once, it will inflict splash damage to all around the foe. No forms of natural resistance can reduce the damage of this attack. Well, that could not have gone any worse. Yet, could it have gone better? No. It seemed like this was the only way to proceed about things. Crossmon NEEDED to end this. Quickly. As the bird hovered in the air for but a brief moment, a quick beat of it's wings sent it flying up and above the other two combatants, the eyeless visage of the corroded (and half-hot!) beast glaring down towards it's target as it flew.
And it's next move was as predictable as the last, yet fired from above. It opened it's beak to fire a Mystic Break down at the Hunter while Tawna fired forth a final Knowledge Stream. It was more than ready to engage in close quarters combat if this failed and Tawna fell.
It didn't have to like it.
But it was ready for it.

Right as Hunter's central tail pierced through the Rasielmon's stomach, Hunter couldn't help but give a fierce grin. Calmness aside, planning aside, the sheer feeling of having tapped right into such a mountain of data brought the MeiCrackmon a feeling of sheer delight. Even before those two tails pinned into Tawna's side, she'd already feel a heavy drain of data streaming out of that central puncture - even more slipping out through the 'gripping' tails at her side. Visibly, Hunter's condition already improved, burns and cuts vanishing from her body as that blue glow flowed right through her frame.
Of course, Tawna nor Titania were going to take this quietly: the close-range blast of energy brought the cat back to her back foot, and the incoming Mystic Break... well, a quick turn made Tawna's back take half of the blast, but the other half continued to singe through her arm. At this rate... tch! For a brief moment, it appeared that Hunter would be falling faster than she could heal. They might had been able to edge her out - had the MeiCrackmon been unable to use her arm. Extending forth that burning Photon Claw, Hunter would further latch onto the Rasielmon's frame...
... And should that connect, the Rasielmon would find herself drained far faster than she could compensate. It would have been easy to completely load the other Meicoomon, but with Titania there, Hunter couldn't be so careless. Instead, when it seemed that Tawna's data was about to give up, Hunter's pull would slow - and in a flash of white light, Tawna would find herself as a Meicoomon, wrapped tightly in Hunter's tail. The tip of that tail still poked through her stomach, slowly draining at her core.
Worse yet - she was held in front, right in Crossmon's direct path with the MeiCrackmon. No words had to be given - Tawna quickly became the 'leverage' in this fight. "Get them to leave," Hunter muttered, "And I'll only eat you."
Oh, if only things were so simple - but this section of the fortress had long since lost its purpose. In the thick of what remained of the woods, a small portal had opened to the area - far too late to divert the disaster that had already taken grip over this fight.
Hunter had already claimed a human, and she was in the midst of devouring that same Aato. Despite the risk of everything else involved, having blood on their hands was not going to do them any favors. Any move was risky, but with one snap, the entire 'field' changed. In an instant, the forest vanished, replaced with nothing but a solid white surface - a glorified box, with an 'open' eye on one end, and a 'closed' eye on the other.
"What the... why'd it reset?" Confused, Hunter heard another noise, a snap. This time, she felt her knee buckle down, forced to sit, as the organizer of this chaos made himself known. His Devidramon, a metal visor over his face and claws clad in metal, would fly forth, immediately moving to cut off the Crossmon.
"Apologies. Do not interfere."
"Damn you..." To this mere human, the MeiCrackmon stammered, practically glaring towards this furious-looking man, hand tightly gripped around his Xros Loader. Despite this tone, however, his voice was loud and level.
"Cool it down - all of you - or I'll cool it for you." His eyes glanced down towards that pierced Meicoomon: "We've lost too much time to 'fix this', already."

Something was not right here. This became less of a feeling and more of an obvious observation as their surroundings suddenly shifted, the forest and greenery that had previously been their arena suddenly and inexplicably vanishing, leaving the dragon soaring through a white void.
His previous landing spot had just disappeared. And the eye which had been his goal had just relocated. Just peachy.
It was hard to tell where exactly he was landing- the white void didn't exactly do much to inform him of how far or near he was to the floor. He took a guess at it still being the same distance now as it had been before the forest disappeared, and was not disappointed when he touched the ground, managing a relatively safe landing without splattering his current passenger all over the pearly whiteness.
"Huh. Did they manage to kill the cat?" He wondered outloud, half to the human, mostly to himself as he turned to look back, trying to see if he could find his temporary allies.
"Oh shit." Was his immediate reaction upon spotting the new players that had joined the game, the currently indisposed Angry cat, the raging Metal bird, and the heavily injured but most definitely winning Hunter-kitten.
Fuck. Shit had gone south quick without him.
"Can't leave them for a single second." He complained to himself as he tucked the human under his arm, spotting the exit eye that had relocated shortly after. At this point, did it really matter? Whether the kid was around or not, they were clearly screwed if he didn't get there and do something.
Most importantly, things were not looking well for his contractor- and if she died, that would look pretty terrible in his resume. He had pride as a professional, and they had a spoken contract- far as he was concerned, that was just as valid as a written one.
"Kid. We are going back. Sadly. You are probably going to die." He informed the human child, as he broke into a sprint towards the group.
What to do. What to do. He couldn't attack. The human was far too close to him- no flame he could conjure while worrying about a fleshbag would hurt the hunter or her friends, if they were anything like her.
He could just attack without caring, but damn it, he had gone through the trouble of howling the damn child around, it would be such a waste to do it. Not to mention that even if his contract was with the angry cat, he would probably not ingratiate himself to her by turning her other human friend to charcoal.
"You humans are a right pain in the arse, you know." He complained to the child as he began to slow down, getting closer to the other group. It was established that he couldn't attack- not that he thought it would even go over well, the more he looked upon the newcomers. Seemed like a headhoncho. And he had a human with him, which probably meant some of that good ol' fucking cheating those devices the humans carried allowed.
Usually this would have been the part where he quite literally exploded violently and then tried to haul ass, but... contracts. Curse hindsight.
"Well.... Uh. This all went to shit."

The cold click of military boots on the rigid white floor would herald the arrival of a familiar face. Familiar at least to Tawna as the Doctor made her entrance her lab coat snapping behind her in the phantom wind of the portal and a Biomon close at her heels as she took in the scene before her with a frosty glance. "That would be an accurate statement yes." Cas spoke each word pronounced crisp and sharp as a knife as she pinned the Flamedramon beneath her gaze like a bug on a dart board. Red static crawling over her skin as those blue piercing eyes seemed to flicker briefly crimson before she freed him from her stare and turned it with a minute narrowing of her eyes onto the Hunter. Striding towards the cat with predatory elegance the Doctor walked like a woman on a mission Jegan shadowing her close to her back as Cassandra stopped just beneath where the Raguelmon held the Meicoomon aloft. "Release her." The Doctor ordered, "Now." She would add should the Hunter dawdle in a voice of a woman who expected to be obeyed. If the Hunter did so the Doctor would be quick to catch Tawna cradling the critically injured Meicoomon gently in her arms though never taking her gaze from the Raguelmon before her. "We can do this one of two ways. You can either work with me Hunter and this will be a far less painful experience for the both of us or you can fight me. You do not want to fight me." The Doctor warned.

Tawna had an indomitable spirit... the type that had a sort of fire going against even the most terrifying of odds. It... It was the one thing she shared so much in common with her tamer... her former tamer. She had tried to go down kicking and screaming, a last-ditch effort to try and take the Hunter with her... but it was all too much. Even with that last blast of power, it just wasn't enough...
Perhaps it was not the Crossmon's intent to catch her in the crossfire, but taking a chunk of the Crossmon's own attack plus one last slice from the Hunter... it really was just too much for Tawna to handle; the searing pain that wracked her body... it was just too much for her current form to handle. The Rasielmon's body splintered to data that was greedily absorbed, the only thing left being a gravely injured Meicoomon... Even through the pain having that stinger stabbed into her, Tawna realized that the Hunter was holding back... They could have absorbed her at anytime, but instead chose to keep her alive... for now at least.
Insult to injury. The feeling of knowing that she had failed, and if that berserk Crossmon did not come to her senses... they too would join her in oblivion? It was soul-crushing.
Tawna would have merely resigned to her fate, too weak to even be able to speak as she was gripped uselessly by the Hunter's tail... but something curious soon happened; the environment around them changing as new figures appeared. Tawna did not recognize the young man, but the woman with those haunting-crimson eyes...? Tawna's emerald eyes grew pained as tears ran down their face staring at the woman with the Biomon... confusion, despair, and anguish painted on the critically-injured Meicoomon's face.
"... C... as." Tawna weakly cried out, unceremoniously handed over to the doctor; her breathing weak and pained... any power she might have once accumulated? All gone. What was once a somewhat proud warrior with a dark past was reduced to a crying, dying creature that desperately wanted the pain to go away. All they could do was weakly sob in the doctor's arms, unable to do anything else.

Problems. Problems began to arise. The Hunter had essentially utilized Tawna as a shield to take Crossmon's attacks for her. That...was a bit of a downer. Crossmon was about to move in to try separating the two when several things ensued in rapid succession.
Namely a rather powerful Devidramon cutting her off, and the forest suddenly wiping away as two individuals with which it was not familiar coming on the scene with...help?
...
Things were getting hazy. Hazy. Blurry. Painful. This whole ordeal was painful, sure, but something...wretched inside the Crossmon was stirring and making it's way out from her core in the form of exhaustion. She was not meant to be like this, not yet. But she had to do something. She had to -kill that thing.- She had to avenge Haru. She had to. She had to. She...had...to...
The Crossmon became engulfed in light as the songbird's rampage came to an end and it's form dissipated, replaced by a Puttimon who plummeted to the ground in a rather comical bounce. Everything hurt for Titania. She had no idea what had happened in the past several minutes. She had no idea what was happening. Just that everything was blurry, everything hurt and she was, above all things, terrified. "Guh...I...W-What...hap-..." She mumbled, trying to roll over to find herself under a Devidramon. "...I think I'm screwed..." She mumbled. Slurred. Oof. Why were things like that?
Well, for one, Fladramon and Naoko jogging and running up had contributed to the end of that little mess. Speaking of. Naoko had said nothing to Fladramon as they had headed over here. Yeah, she might die. It was probably for the better, really. Doubt she was gonna get out of this with anything worth noting that wasn't crippling in nature. Humans -were- a pain in the ass. "...Yeah, I know, I'm a big one." Was all she stated.
So what was going on here? Naoko assessed the situation, starting off which a murderous glare towards the Hunter, before the human's features softened up a tad as she looked to the other two humans. "...Who...are you...?" ...To say nothing of the growing...fatigue she was feeling. She had a feeling that whatever happened to Titania was gonna start getting to her too...
...Why was the lady ordering the Hunter around? Why was Tawna...Actually Tawna had a lot of reasons to be crying but...Who was she?

"Would you look at that... they actually listened." Honestly, Denryu wasn't expecting his words to have that much of an effect - but aside from words from a confused Flamedramon and a Crossmon-turned-Puttimon with her rather confused tamer, the battlefield fell to relative silence.
At the center of attention was Hunter. With a 'tsk', still forced to kneel and practically 'heel' for these humans, she initially just gave a scowl at Cassandra's order. However, a glare from the General himself was enough to force her to comply, snaking her tail over and depositing the injured Meicoomon in her arms. "Like you two needed to interfere?"
Cassandra's second request was one that made her grit her teeth. Just what was their deal? Taking a brief look around this barren battlefield - the only fighter still left standing that annoying Fladramon - she simply gave a 'tsk'. There was nothing left for her here, anyway. "Lead on, then, doc."
Denryu gave a simple nod, then turned to face the Devidramon. With the Puttimon fallen, Demon gave his focus towards the Fladramon. "Demon, for now, take over at this quadrant's guardian. Tamer, take your Digimon and sit tight. Fladramon? Try anything, and we're not going to hold back."
It was as if the general was reading off a checklist. Without even lifting his Xros Loader, a portal opened up next to Cassandra - leading to one of the unused sectors, that at the very top of the Sakkakumon. "Apologies, doctor. I have my role to fill out here."
Even in the face of this tragedy, with how deep they were into this operation, Denryu couldn't afford to let the mission break down.
"... Please." This last word, directed to Cassandra - on the surface, it lacked emotion. But to someone that knew the General, this one word, said in exactly that short, concise tone, showed just how desperate this situation had become.
Even from their perspective.

The Doctor cradled the Meicoomon gently against her front running her fingers lightly down the fur of the injured rookies back in a gesture that could almost be called comforting though the woman dared not look down at her charge. Not until the Hunter finally relented with a grumble did Cassandra let her eyes drop to the injured cat for the first time.
“Tawna…” She murmured, “Sleep.” Cassandra spoke the order soft and coaxing if disconcerting in it's hollowness as shifting her hand from where she was rubbing soft circles into the little Digimon's back to gently close the Meicoomon’s eyes.
“I promise when you wake up everything will be fine.” The Doctor assured her the lie falling from her lips as naturally as breathing though she could not understand her reasoning for giving such a false promise. Would not, could not, understand that flickering spark within her gut that urged her to reassure the dying creature in her arms.
“Jegan,” She spoke the Biomon drifting around to face her as Cas carefully extracted Tawna from herself and held her aloft. “I need you to place her into stasis. She’s losing too much data.” The Doctor ordered as the Biomon bowed it’s head.
“Very well Doctor.” Jegan spoke reaching out, his hands pressed together and as he pulled them apart a gleaming clear turquoise crystal appeared and encompassed the injured rookie who hung within it outside of space and time like an insect caught within amber.
“Proceeding to designated area.” The Biomon added taking the injured cat as he floated through the open portal leaving the Doctor to turn to the Hunter once more.
“Some of the data you consumed was not stable. Given your already altered form it’s imperative we ensure you haven’t been compromised.” Cas informed her motioning for the Raguelmon to proceed her into the portal after Jegan as the Doctor herself moved to follow. Only pausing as she passed the masked General her fingers twitching lightly with phantom feeling as his Please tugged at something deep within her gut.
“We all have our parts to play General and we shall play them well.” The Doctor spoke her voice flat, mechanical, and clipped yet silently the woman reached out her gaze never straying from the portal as she brushed her fingertips lightly against his own in the barest reassuring kiss of pressure.
“Do not apologize.” She murmured soft and low as she strode forward into the light with purpose.

Hn. 'Quadrant's Guardian', huh?
With the lack of general digimon action, things had slowed down to a crawl for the digimon; He supposed he should be thankful; this was giving him far more time to process all the information he had gathered until now and make a few educated guesses as to what was going on.
"'We' implies far more action from you glorified batteries than you have any right to be proud of, but no worries; I wouldn't want to provoke your dragon into action, Chief." Drawled the dragon, watching his charge get passed around like a dead weight before he carelessly dropped Naoko to the floor.
The entire set up seemed determined to keep interlopers out, but it relied on 'guardians' being able to repel anything and anyone that came at them. As he was amazing, he was pretty sure he would have been able to defeat the Hunter on his own without his charges loading him down, so this seemed like a pretty poor strategic decision in general. So it was likely all just temporary.
The digimon on the landing site had mentioned that the thing had not been there before. The human's crew hadn't bothered with killing them, even if they had knocked them out, nor had they even bothered with truly masking the strangely shaped fortress' presence, so it wasn't intended to be a permanent base of operations.
So it was a massive, obvious, poorly masked, poorly defended, large unsustainable fortress which didn't care whether it was found or not. To top it off, Guardians were seemingly ordered to keep out interlopers, but not kill them, if the attitude the carnivore was getting was anything to go by. Truly one hell of a job. He would have hoped all the guardians were getting paid well. All but Carnivore, that is. She hadn't even tried to do her job right, so as a professional, he was of the opinion that she should get... only about a quarter of her pay.
"I fear I may have to anyways, tho. I've got a contract with that cat yer attack cat 'nomed on, ya see. And seeing how you run around with colorful characters like carnivore, I'm 'fraid I don't feel mighty confident in leaving my charge in your groups' admittedly capable hands." He said, looking up at the human.
"But since yer here, I figure I may as well ask!" He started cheerily, "I came here with the objective of securing a statue." He said, "Now, I dunno much 'bout these statues, but considering how the high'n'mighty Luminas crew got involved, the fact my cheap ass boss is willing to do charity to make sure they are safe, and what went down in the Dark Area, it's safe to say they are probably important. And this entire blunder aside, I'll be honest; Humans ain't something I ever trust outta hand to begin with, unless that hand is covered in gold. So..."
His cheery mirth sobered up quickly into a blank, somewhat unreadable gaze. "What are your intentions towards the statues?"
Based off his short lived bargaining moment with the Hunter, and the entire set up that was rather clearly meant to be a temporary defense intended to keep interlopers from messing with whatever operations were being carried out in that particular spot of desert, he was willing to bet a very small, insignificant amount of pocket change this all had something to do with the statue he had been tasked with finding. Lil' Carnivore had tried to use the info as a bargaining chip before, but between everything he had educatedly guessed so far and his own self assurance in his own detective prowess, he was pretty sure he was correct.

In what seemed like the figurative drop of a hat, this got...difficult for Naoko to keep up with. As she was dropped like something that was too hot to be held (ironic, really) she quickly got to her feet and just...kept her eyes on the Hunter. One could probably quantify how much murderous intent lay behind her gaze into a percentage. Probably. She just echoed a single word to begin with.
"Guardian."
She let that hang in the air for a moment as she went over to collect Titania, who was...looking more than a little pained. Sheeee could not quite speak yet. Naoko then continued. "I don't think I can trust someone acting as that after the last one here killed my sister. Fuck, I don't trust any of you."
Naoko was about to say more but Titania coughed and managed to get a few words in. "...Just don't...sic another Meicoomon on us please, I've had my fill of d-dealing with those for...for a few years...Owwww....S-So..." The Puttimon took a breath. "W-What's the deal here? Statues? Quadrants? This...Big mercury guy yours...?"
It'd make sense to assume that. The goddamn murderer was theirs. Naoko gritted her teeth as that thought crossed her head. She glanced towards the departing Dr. Cross, and made a very audible plea. "...Please save my sister. Please."
That's a lot of pleas.
Also, Naoko's face felt wet.
