Hiroyo feels fear when the MetalGreymon roars in fury at hearing his twin's name, enough for her to cringe under one of the bugs' outstretched wing as if it were a shield. It's a mystery solved but it reveals more distracting facts about the brothers' relationship. There's a lot she wants to know about the meeting between the two, but this isn't really the time nor the place nor does she have the relationship to just demand answers from Isaac. She believes wholeheartedly that someone has to. She doesn't like the way he phrases his last statement on that topic.
But there are other matters to attend to, matters of mask and face and secrets revealed.
It is rapidly becoming clear to Hiroyo that this might just be out of her depth. There are few things she understands and many more she's lost about. She's starting to piece together a picture of what they're saying. Luminas, again she hears only negative about the city and those who come from it. She remembers a drunken chat with Silvemon and frowns.
Horror comes from the reveal. Hiroyo's hands fly to her mouth to cover a gasp, her face paling then gaining a greenish tint as first the human changes and then the sorry state of Isaac's own spirits is revealed. Claws and metal and black and red eyes and Hiroyo can't help blurting out "I thought you were human!" She claps a hand back over her mouth again and looks nervously at the smaller figure's Dark Protector and attempts to dig herself out of her grave.
"Sorry! I mean, you were-are human, right? The D-Reaper did this to you? To both of you?" She hurts, not for herself but for the brief image she was shown of what the Doctor was. This is a metamorphis that wasn't asked for and she can't quite get her stomach to stop churning and at this point she doesn't know if that's from sustaining the twins' evolutions or her reaction to the awful, glaring, terrible red and the effect she's seen on the both of them.
Roger opens his mouth as if to say something but Morgan is already a mechanical hand to hold it shut. The Cyborg bug has to twist so his back's to the MetalGreymon and he wishes just once that his twin couldn't evolve. The situation is what it is though and he evades his twin's flailing with tiny graceful tilts of the engines on his shoulders. The Waspmon turns his head so both red-lensed eyes face the Doctor and her protector. He can't quite turn his head far enough to spot the MetalGreymon but it is obvious his words are meant for all, simple as they are. "We'll help."
"We will? I mean of course we will!" Hiroyo throws a fist in the air and swallows spit back down her throat. She's still pale and queasy and she hate-hates-hates how unbalanced she feels but she forces herself to push on regardless. She's surprised that Morgan is the one who pledges their assistance, there must be more ticking in his brain but she's not going to question it.
She knows its naive to chalk it up to a change of heart because of her example in the past but she can't help but hope its true.
"But we need details." Morgan's voice has a faint buzz of static behind the words, unsurprisingly wasp-like in its sharpness. "What exactly are you hoping to accomplish here? He," He tilts his head towards Isaac."speaks of a statue. You both speak of something that seeks to control you, but despite the advanced stages of your," He pauses, his jets tilting away from roger as he releases his hand from Roger's four-pronged beak. Surprisingly the rowdier twin doesn't speak, just reaches up to rub the bottom of his mouth. Its obvious that his attention has been caught, and there's a thin crackle of electricity that leaps from his wings to Morgan's body. Covert communication or not Morgan finds the word to finish his question. "Complications you seem to be in control. How will we know when you are not?"

The Doctor couldn't stop the flinch that tore through her form at Isaac and Hiroyo's outbursts, their horror and the quiet terror in their words cutting into her heart like knives. "No...." She whispered softly voice hoarse as she quickly flicked the holosuit back on to save the pair having to witness the sight of her further. "No...I'm simply a highly unfortunate case." The Doctor added in response to Isaac, her voice a little more firm if only to mechanically reassure the boy before she shifted her gaze to Hiroyo. The blue eyes of her disguise such a stark contrast from her true glowing crimson. "I was...I am human. To some extent. Due to circumstances that would take far too long to explain I share about twenty-five percent of my genetics with the D-reaper though I am an evolved strain." She explained assessing Issac's condition with a clinical gaze though the barest frown that tugged at the edges of the blank emotionless mask that was the woman's face hinted at her concern. "Due to this the D-reaper has much more difficulty controlling me. Even so I'm still monitoring our tests from afar to be on the safe side which is why I am here in my domain rather then near the effigy. Forgive me for being vague, but if Luminas was to learn of my existence...." The Doctor trailed off glancing between the insect twins with suspicion her tone serious. "They would likely publicly and messily slaughter me and leave my broken body at the gate of their city as an example to anyone else who wished to cross them in the future if I'm lucky..." Cassandra explained allowing her gaze to drift from the twins her eyes distant and haunted as she stared off into the ruined city. "If I'm unlucky it's very likely they will horrifically torture me and use me as a test subject for the rest of my days or worse. Even allowing you two to witness me here without knowing my name puts me at unspeakable risk, but truth be told I am a woman of science. I do not wish to fight." The Doctor murmured wrenching her gaze back to the group. "I won't let that happen." The Dark Knightmon assured her with a low protective growl, but the desperation in his gold eyes warned how very real such a threat was. "I cannot tell you all the details of our tests only that we're seeking to learn what makes the statues so special and why they effect the D-reaper as they do. Anything more then that and I risk putting you in harms way. To run the tests we've temporarily isolated the statue from the Digital world. Which makes this area briefly vulnerable to the D-reaper. It should become stable once more once the statue is returned to it's place, but in the meantime we need to control the D-reapers spread and ensure it does not have enough strength to attack the statue when it is returned." The Doctor explained briefly pulling up a map of the surrounding area on her D-terminal and turning it to show the little group. "Thankfully there isn't much around for the D-reaper to attack other then us and the statue making the risk of civilian casualties minimal. However I cannot leave my post here. I'm currently the only Doctor and the only person in the area capable of treating the D-virus. If I were to fall to the Reaper or should there be complications with the tests and I were to not be at my post it would be catastrophic. If you are willing to aid in stopping the D-reaper however, I can send one of my mercenaries with you. He won't be of much help in battle, but I can monitor your situation from here through him and should you find yourselves in trouble I will be able to come to your aid once the test is finished or send you support." Cassandra explained with a soft almost frustrated sounding sigh clearly vexed at having her hands so neatly tied in this situation. Sliding a chip through her Digivice a small figure coalesced from the data near her feet. "Char reporting for duty." The little Monitamon quipped striking a smart salute. "I'll be the Oyabun's eyes and ears for you!" The little Digimon assured them.

"I did this to me, really," Isaac said, surprised by how readily the words tumbled out of his mouth. Before he knew it he found himself talking at a mile a minute. "But I had to, you know? I mean, if I didn't get in the way, it would've taken Maia. And god, if anything bad happened to her . . ." He clenched his fists hard enough to turn his purple knuckles a bone white. Just the idea made him want to vomit.
He couldn't blame Hiro for her horror. Even Yasyamon, the most reasonable and affable of his spirits, looked like a horrorshow when mutated. It made Isaac thank his lucky stars that he didn't keep any mirrors around these days. It didn't help that NeoDevimon and MetalGreymon, while uncorrupted, were kind of grotesque in their own right. It sure was a good thing they were cordial, because Isaac feared the worst upon first finding them.
Cas seemed to think Isaac wouldn't take on her appearance, at least, but Isaac seemed quite unconvinced. "With all the Reaper data that got injected right into me? I wish I could be sure," Isaac admitted. "Almost makes me wish I could reach my human form and see what it's like. At this point the wondering's getting to me. I'd rather tear that band-aid off." By Cas' tally, she was 25% Reaper. How much Reaper was he? Did all of the spirit data flowing within him muddy those waters? Did they buffer the Reaper? Or, worse, did the injection open them up to intermingle freely with him too?
More cringeworthy than looks were actions. Cas was rather lavish about the things Luminas would apparently do to a Reaper-afflicted individual, and Isaac sure counted as one of those! He tried not to shrink away at the mental image, instead letting an awkward grimace spread across his face. "That's comforting," he said between strained teeth, eyes darting back and forth as if afraid a Luminas inquisitor would jump out like the world's worst haunted house. "Guessing I shouldn't put Luminas on my itinerary until I get this mess sorted out. Or, like. Ever." It also seemed to wake up tall, dark, and menacing, who started snarling about how it wouldn't let Cas get hurt.
That was unfortunate. Isaac sure wanted to hurt somebody upon hearing that Cas' tests involved getting rid of the only defense against the Reaper, even if temporarily. It sure was a good thing that the news didn't break, because otherwise this'd end in disaster. "If this doesn't work, I'm punching whoever started this in the face," Isaac grumbled, cheeks huffed out oddly adorably. It turned out the combination of a flustered teen and a giant cybersaurus rex could be strangely cute at times! Who knew? "But I guess me grumbling about it isn't going to change anything. Now, me blasting them to hell and back? That's gonna at least buy you guys time. And luckily for me, ice isn't the only thing they're weak to . . ." The MetalGreymon's chest started smoking and grinding. It was clear that something was brewing underneath his chassis.
And that brew would not be delivered with the help of a giant dark knight. Instead, the doctor was needed to hold her post, leaving a tubby little television behind. "Wha . . . seriously?" he muttered under his breath, shaking his head to snap out of the shock some. Digimon were capable of some surprising things when they put their minds to it. Maybe this television could too, even if the doc herself insisted his combat abilities were quite modest. "Well, guess that's our crew, then. Fortunately, we've got the element of surprise on our side, because the second I jump out of this eyeball thing I'm lighting the ground up.
Anything else you want me to do? Or is it time to get blasting?"
Combat log: Isaac charges his Infinite Warhead, preparing to start this assault off with a quite literal bang. Infinite Warhead: MetalGreymon hunkers down, focusing all of his energy into launching a pair of large missiles from his chest. While the long time to fire gives opponents ample time to move, the explosion that these shots kick up is immense in both size and damage alike. Charge Time: One Post. Cooldown: Two Posts.

The answers she receives are both expected and hated. Once human, now no longer only that. Isaac claims that he did it to himself but Hiroyo is inclined to disagree. When someone defends another from a bully, the hero is not to blame for the bruises he receives at the hand of the villain. At least that's what she believes.
Again, this is not the time nor the place to have this talk.
It is a place and time for the Doctor to divulge what would happen were the Shining City's agents to find her and Isaac. There's widening of the jaws that's akin to the baring of teeth from Roger and the redheaded woman finds herself pressing her hands to her shoulders in a wish to suppress the mental imagery. Her voice is desperate to be believed as she speaks on the heels of Cloak's vow. "We, we won't let that happen either!"
Roger coughs and relaxes his stance. He's understanding that the fight to be had isn't with those assembled here. For now. There is violence coming though, and he's not so blind as to pretend he doesn't relish the thought of a good throw down. Against the D-Reaper or Luminas agents- it's all the same to him. "So Doc, you're saying when you remove that statue we'll get the fight of our lives? Sounds like a plan as long as big and bulky here can keep you safe~"
Electricity sparks and flickers across his entire body, a light show, a warming up. It crackles around him and drives Hiroyo further away from the twins. A quick glance at Morgan tells her less than it did before. She forces a grin and a shaky mimicry of Char's salute. Color has begun to return to her cheeks. If the twins want to speak against her decision they can, but she truly hopes they'll just follow her lead. "It'll be an honor working with you! This sounds really risky but I think we can pull it off.."
"This guy's got the right idea!" Roger gestures vaguely towards Isaac, a hint of admiration in his voice. The cyborg dino might be a bit silly with his slumping and such, but Roger can respect someone who wants to start a fight strong."Climb aboard squishy bits! The closer we stay together the better!" The electricity fades as the Flymon tosses his head back. Hiroyo nods and approaches again, setting a foot on one of his lower limbs. She grabs a handful of the red mane around his neck and pulls herself up onto his back, her fingers clutching at the odd patch of dark blue fur there. Once she has herself situated upright and her heart is no longer trying to jump out of her chest she leans part way over to extend a hand towards the helper.
"C'mon! I'll help you up if you want to ride."
There's a beep from Morgan as the the whine from his engines grows briefly sharper then dims, their power drawn away to other resources. He twists his stinger towards the ground as the metal begins to glow a bright blue. He's copying Isaac's example for it seems like sound planning in the circumstances. A first strike is an advantage no one wants to give up. Nor does Morgan wish any others to be unclear on his position in certain matters. "A warning: I will back Isaac's vengeance against the creator of the plan should all this go astray."
Combat Log: Morgan charges Targeted Aerial Cannon.
Targeted Aerial Cannon: Morgan can opt to spend a turn building up power and calculating a firing solution for a powerful attack from his laser. He devotes his entire being to this which means he can't do anything else while focused. An attack will break his focus so he tries to use this move when Roger can give him cover or the enemy is otherwise distracted.
Extremely high damage, high accuracy attack. Requires 1 turn to charge and 4 turns to use again. Being attacked while charging will negate Targeted Aerial Cannon but sets it to a 2 turn cool down before Morgan can attempt it again.

"The statue has already been taken out of play and the D-reaper is likely waiting outside. If you engage avoid entering into combat with it at close range. I am capable of treating D-virus infections, but I would rather not need to do so. If you do become infected do not allow the infection to reach over fifty percent. You can tell when you've reached that threat level as with Digimon their trash data will begin to be tinted red along with their wounds and with humans you get more prominent red veins. The D-reaper is weak to Ice and data destroying attacks." The Doctor explained giving them a brief rundown on what they might expect from their opponent before the D-terminal latched about her wrist begins to chirp. Checking the device a frown tugs at the woman's lips before she glances back up at the others.
"I'm needed in one of the other sections. There's been a medical emergency. My partners will remain behind here to protect this area." She added activating the portal program on her D-terminal as it charges up with a soft whine before she nods at Char. The Little Monitamon taking Hiroyo's offered hand as he clamors aboard the champion Digimon's back.
"I might not look like much, but I can warn you of approaching enemies." Char explained puffing his chest up with pride as his sensors activated with a buzz.
"The way through which you entered should still be open....good luck." The Doctor murmured as Cloak stepped aside watching the woman's back as she entered her own portal.
"May the Sovereigns favor you in this." The Dark Knightmon intones inclining his head in a solemn show of respect to the little group.
Doctor Cross Exits the Thread. Char the Monitamon has joined Hiroyo and Isaac's party Cloak and Dagger remain behind to protection Urban Metal section.
