Jiro flinched as Naoko squeed. This was not a sound she expected from the tall, cool lady! Otohime, meanwhile, seemed excited to have a first go. "Ya bet I wanna go first! Watch me slam them arrows!" She hopped onto the dance floor, inserted a coin, and then chose a song. It turned out to be a really upbeat, fast paced Super Sentai song from the days of yore. She readied herself, grinning, and as soon as the song started she began to stomp the arrows as they appeared. SHe did not seem to follow the music, rather displaying a good eye and fast reaction time as she stomped on the arrows as they hit the upper bar. All the stomping got her quite sweaty and ... distracting. Once the song was done she grinned proudly. "How was that huh??" Jiro, head beet red, just gave a thumbs up.

Naoko just kept a happy smile on as her friend accepted the offer of going first. "Like Super Sentai? That's....pretty cool, actually." A little known fact was that Naoko's binged a few toku shows. The girl was as attentive as ever, noticing Otohime just stomping as the arrows hit the bar rather than following the music. That keen eye also proved to be a double-edged sword because she also noticed EXACTLY why Jiro's head/face was red and that in turn made her face go beet red.
So, it took a few moments for her to realize that the song had finished and that she was being spoken to. "Uh...T-That was g-good! R-Really good! Y-Yep! I think it's my turn, next." Naoko began, stuttering a little before she hopped on the floor and inserted a coin of her own. Naturally, she gravitated to one of her favorite songs, before deciding against it and picking a eurobeat song. Like, the kind you'd see in Initial D.
And it was on a high difficulty, too. So, she got started with that, stomping on the arrows to the music! The song she'd picked in particular was fast so she wound up working up a sweat. Her poor turtleneck. At the conclusion of the song, she stepped off the dance pad and took a moment to catch her breath. "...I'd like to imagine I d-did good on that one."

Otohime smiled, but then looked confused when she saw the blushing faces of Naoko and Jiro. "Eh? Whaddya two blushin' for? You remembered somethin' embarrassin' from when ye were lil' kiddos?" Jiro waved her off, frantically. "N-n-n-no! I-i-i-it's-i-i-t's-" He could not say it, he was too flustered. Otohime rolled her eyes and hugged the disguised Digimon tight. Which did more harm than good in this situation! Together, they watched as Naoko danced to the fast paced song. Whoa, she's really good! Otohime ended up hollering and cheering for her, and gave her a bear hug when she stepped off the dance floor. "You did amazin'! You're really good at this! Come on, let's dance another song!"

Incidentally, Naoko also found herself almost speechless. Except she was actually capable of stating things. "I-It's the b-b-b-baps..." The honkers. The melons. The bazoongas. The dohankeroos. The chimichangas. The Mizu-killers. Those.
Once Naoko had finished the song, she heard hollering behind her as she stepped off the pad, and suddenly found herself the recipient of a bear hug! This was increeeedibly unexpected, and led to Naoko letting out a shrill "EEP!" and stiffening up for a few moments like a deer in the headlights.
"A-Ah, uh...S-Sure! W-Who picks, though? Me? You?" Yeah, she was calming down. A little bit. Heck, she even hugged Otohime back. That's probably a step up from how she usually handled hugs!

Otohime was, of course, entirely clueless. "Eh? Baps? The heck is that? I gotta look that up..." Regardless, she soon got back up, shaking her heads at the silly and needless reactions of her two friends here! "Alright, let's rock! Let's dance to another one! Together!" She grabbed Naoko by the wrist, and pulled her onto the stage! She was serious about this! She wanted to dance with her together! "Let's choose something cool and fast! So we can see who can stomp arrows the fastest!" She flipped through the song lists, and stopped at one labled "Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town". "That one looks great, let';s do that one!"

Woah, woah! Naoko found herself being pulled right back onto the stage with barely a moment to catch herself. Did Otohime say something?
Actually, yeah. Yeah, she did. "D-Dance together? S-Sure!" Another fast one? Well, she was going to need to do her best to stay focused on the arrows and not whatever was happening next to her involving the laws of physics and TERRIBLE things to stare at. Nope!
And then Otohime picked a song out. Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town by The Du...That...sounds familiar. "Sure, l-let's do this." She selected that song and realized something right when the song began.
Wait, is that a motherfucking Jojo's Bizarre Adventure opening?
No time to think, just hit the arrows!

Otohime's eyes and mind became fixated on the screen, trying to stomp the arrows in time to get maximum points! She remained blissfully unaware of the effect that her dancing had on anyone watching. And, of course, a girl dancing without wearing something as normal as a chest fixation was bound to draw a -lot- of attention. Jiro tried to keep away most watchers, mostly for Naoko's sake, because he knew that Otohime couldn't care less. A small crowd had formed by the time the song was over! Otohime wiped the swear off her brows, and gave Naoko a wide grin. "WHoa, you're really good, ya beat me!"

Needless to say that was by far the hardest song Naoko felt she had ever had to do on a DDR cabinet in her entire life. Not because of the song itself, no. The song itself? It was bearable. Heck, Naoko even managed to strike a few whacky poses like the ones on the screen!
Including the one the midget was doing. Especially that one. No. The reason this song was difficult was for two reasons. One, the growing crowd. When you're as awful with people as Naoko could be? That wasn't good. Second? Otohime's lack of chest fixation was distracting and it was awful. So yeah, this took effort. A lot of effort. Effort that Naoko didn't know she could muster. As the song ended, Naoko found herself panting for breath and holding her hands on her knees before she glanced up at Otohime. "...Wait, really?" Did she actually beat her?
Naoko stood up straight and stretched. "...So I did...Uh...huh..." She glanced around at the small crowd. Again, why'd they show up...? She felt like a deer in the headlights!

"Yeah, you did! You're awesome!" Otohime gave her another bear hug. Then she noticed her stare. "Uuuuh, dude, you ok?" The gears in otohime's head began to rotate as she thought. You could swear you could hear them grind away as she tried to bash two brain cells together across the yawning abyss inside her mind. But, soon enough, she realized that the crowd made Naoko upset. So, she put on an angry expression, pulled out her bat and waved it about. "Oy, show's over! Git! Shoosh! Make haste! Go away!" The crowd complained, but nobody really wanted to argue with a girl shaking a bat around! This would probably alert the arcade security, but Otohime did not care...nor had she thought that far. "There we go, all better!"

"...Eheh...define okay...?" The bear hug was not making Naoko lock up anymore than she already had. She was just chuckling a little nervously and staring at everyone else before Otohime WHIPPED OUT HER BAT AND WAVED IT AT PEOPLE. "H-Hey, someone might call security! Q-Quit it!" Despite the stammering of the girl she tried grabbing one of Otohime's arms. Mayyybe that'd dissuade her? Hopefully?
She didn't wanna get thrown out of the arcade, she really liked it here!
It was a pretty odd sight, regardless. Someone trying to dissuade someone from going on a bat rampage for their sake.

Otohime sneered as the crowd dispersed, but still put away her bat at Naoko's pleading. Just as well, as soon afterwards a rather overworked-looking young man approached them. "Oh, Otohime, I should have known they meant you when they said there's a maniac with a bat here..." "Hey, buzz off, I was just protecting my friend!" "Your...friend?" The way the young man sounded incredulous as he spoke these words spoke volumes of his history with the sukeban. "...well in that case I can turn a blind eye. But don't do that again! I don't wanna get into trouble with my boss again because I keep letting you in!" Then he turned to Naoko. "Well, good luck keeping her reined in, sir." He bowed, and shuffled away. "'Ey, she's a girl you fuck!" Otohime groaned. "Man, that guy, I wanna kick his ass to the moon..."

Oh thank heck, the crowd dispersed and Otohime put the bat away. Yet...Somehow it didn't surprise her that the girl had probably gotten into tussles with arcade security before...
"...Yeah. She's my friend." Naoko spoke. Audibly. And she was not about to let go of Otohime's arm, either. Mostly because what if she actually goes on a baseball bat rampage? "...Wait, reined i--...What?" Naoko was more baffled at the reined in comment than the fact she was called a sir.
She was already used to that. It wasn't a big deal at all. "You okay? Uh...You seem a little pissed..."

"Hrrrrrgh! That guy! Calls you a sir when you're clearly a girl! He did that to me, too! He's such a jerk! He always picks on me!" "D-d-d-didn't you tell me he used to cover for you when you got into trouble?" "Don't backstab me, you!" Jiro flinched, so Otohime quickly patted his head to calm him. "Of course I am mad, these people made you uncomfortable! And no one makes my friends uncomfortable! Then they'll get in trouble with me!" That was directed at Naoko. After spending what was only like 3 days together in total, Otohime already fully believed the Toriya girl to be her best friend ever!

"I mean, I don't...really look the part...Um...I dunno why he'd do that to you, though. Sure, you're...not the most feminine lady in the world but at least people can tell you look like a girl..."
Naoko felt like this was kind of informative in one way or another. She peered towards Jiro and simply tilted her head briefly before she looked back to Otohime. "...That's...sweet of you to say. Er. Nice. Sweet. Same thing..." She murmured. Now that? That was...seriously...hm.
It sort of proved to Naoko that what Madayoshi said way earlier was correct. She did have a friend for life. And what did she feel like doing that was...very unlike her to do?
Well, she pulled Otohime into a hug. A real friendly and awkward hug. But a hug nonetheless.

"Hrrrrghm he called me sir because first time I was here I beat up some guy who was trying to pickpocket me! He says only guys do that! What an asshat!" Otohime was still seething, but the hug managed to calm her down somewhat. She hugged her right back, but was still glaring at the young man, who had resumed his spot at the register. "Well I ain't gonna let some cymballicker ruin my day! What should we do next? Shoot some zombies? Race some races? Play that old-ass arcade game they had around since they opened back in the 80s??"
