Still, Calysta did like the name fluffy better, and plus if you keep Nyao in a smaller form it would be easier to hide her most of the time. "No, it's nothing you didn't say anything wrong, don't worry," Calysta said still smiling down at Katsura. "Wait, you go into a field of eggs and just take one? Sorry, but that doesn't sound right to me? Do all people with Digivices just do that.... It's a little like kidnapping, I'm not saying you kidnapped Nyao, but it's like walking inside a hospital and taking a baby, isn't it? Just with Digimon?" Calysta said not understanding this world one little bit.
Maybe it was just her, but that did sound odd on what Katsura just said, maybe it was more to learn that she just hasn't yet? Well, maybe talking to a Digimon and befriending one first was a good plan, but how? And where?
Oh so apparently Katsura didn't say anything wrong, oh well business as usual then. Katsura raised her shoulders in a shrug to accept the wisdom from Calysta. After hearing Calysta out about her reaction on apparently taking eggs, she had to roll her eyes. No that was not what Katsura meant at all.
"Umm why would I take a egg from a nest? We could just talk to some of the older ones and make new friends. All digimon talk, I think."
Katsura then took out her bento and began sharing her rice-balls with Nyao, now that they have plenty of food Nyao had no plenty of food available she had little problems eating first.
"You want some?"
Katsura then offered Calysta some of her foods, she then began to look around curious of what she could find.
"You know the forest is the place I spend most of my time in, Terminus is great when you need stuff."
"I'm not saying you did take one, I'm just saying many others might do it, and talking to the old ones it just sounds odd to me, maybe it's easier for children to understand?" Calysta thought it was more children that gained the powers of being a tamer. "I'm fine, I've already eaten today." Calysta got up and started to look around. "I will let you eat and look around for a while on my own." She said starting to see what this world had to offer.
After walking for a little bit not far from Calysta she could see and hear a Digimon talking to other ones, but they were a lot smaller and him. "When a Digimon becomes a tamer what is the most important thing we need?" He pointed towards one of them that raised their hand. "Trust?" He would say. "No! It's knowledge!" He looked like a floating mirror, she didn't know what to really say just seeing him trying to give wisdom towards smaller Digimon.
Katsura should be able to hear it if she started to look around herself, as Calysta wouldn't go that far away from her.
"Huh that's weird, why would anyone take a digi-egg from a nest? Their family would miss them." Katsura let out a sad sigh by the time she realized how much what she just said could apply to herself. Katsura thought back to the moment where she found the abandoned egg that contained Nyao. She never before pondered why the egg was there to begin with, would Nyao even know the answer? Probably not she wasn't even hatched. Katsura pet Nyao absent-mindedly.
Katsura muttered a robotic "Okay" to Calysta, Calysta being a headmistress and frequently around schoolchildren should recognize this meant Katsura didn't even know what she agreed to. Which is why a moment later she looked around confused over Calysta's sudden disappearance.
"Umm, where's Calysta?" fortunately for Katsura, at least one of the duo had paid attention to their surroundings.
"She decided to explore on her own a minute ago."
"Sigh, she could at least have told me."
"Oh, should we follow her?"
"Ehh it's a little hard to explore on your own when someone is with you."
"But nobody wants to be alone, and... I... I haven't shown her my favorite tree yet and-"
"Katsura, she's fine. Just stop and listen."
Only then did Katsura realize that she was able to hear Calysta speaking with a surprisingly wise digimon, maybe it was a digimon professor? Well that was what Katsura was currently picturing in her head.
Calysta didn't understand fully yet how this world worked, but it was fine because it was simple enough to gather information and understand it. Katsura was still like many girls her own age, she had a hard life, but many people do in their own way, Alexis rich, but couldn't tell who was really her friend or not, Katsura hard childhood, and might find it hard to speak out, even myself, with my brother going missing and my father following harsh rules, everyone had a story and the more you learn, the harder it would be to understand.
She knew Katsura might not off listen, but Nyao would. "One more thing just because one is smart doesn't mean we are weak, perfection is everything, that is why you need to come out Miss." He throws something at the tree like a teacher would throw a piece of chalk out of a movie, as Calysta would look dumbfounded. "Hmmm." He when closer going around Calysta looking her up and down. "This is the type of human we should aim to find as a tamer, but not without asking questions. She has the appearance people look for in sexiness, pretty face, long legs, hourglass figure, and large br.." She would turn red. "Wait stop right there." He would look annoyed, but fine, he liked finishing what his finding where. "But in the mind, she might be dumb, nothing but a pretty face." But then it happened her Digivice started to glow.
As she pulled it out. "You're a tamer?" He asked, but Calysta couldn't think why. "What is happening."
Pressured by Nyao Katsura just sat there listening, though she very much wanted to go after Calysta doing so would mean going against Nyao. So Katsura sighed while listening in.
"There's so much more than fighting." Katsura whispered to Nyao intrigued by the lecture. Katsura tried to stand up but a discouraging stare from Nyao caused her to reluctantly remain put albeit in protest. Katsura was startled as she heard something getting thrown at a tree.
"Are you okay? Did they hit you."
"Ehm, I'm fine I guess."
Nyao shrugged and they resumed to listing in on the lecture.
"They don't ask her many questions"
"Maybe it's a figure of speech?"
"Hmm I never found out her cup size."
Nyao covered her face with her paw in disbelief over Katsura's priorities, Nyao thought for sure that there were more important things to pay attention to right now. They spent the rest of the time wondering if they should intervene, Katsura certainly wanted to when it looked like Calysta was bonding with a digimon but like Nyao just told her, it's hard to explore on your own when someone is following you like a shadow.
This Digimon was odd hovering around Calysta as he could see her digivice glow. "Your an odd Digimon, but not in the same way Nyao is, your a little bit of a pervert." She said as he pointed his finger at Calysta like a teacher would, why did the tables turn in this way? "Wrong, I am not a pervert, but a Digimon that gives credit where it's do, and you're the ideal of what sexiness is in your world." She blushed finding this to not just embarrassing but odd he would do this in front of his students. "You really should stop talking in that way with your students watching."
"Fine, but you shouldn't tell a teacher how to teach." She would sigh. "I can if I'm a principal." He was shocked to hear that but didn't believe it. "Enough jokes, let's get to the matter at hand, your digivice was glowing meaning, someone here is your Digimon it should glow brighter if you get closer to one of the little ones's over there." She would look at it and could see it wasn't one of them as she pointed it at him, glowing even brighter. "What no way!" He was shocked, as he heard someone behind the trees.
Throwing another rock at it. "Come on out, and if you really wish to know this woman's cup size I can tell you, I know everything." How did he keep a serious aura speaking in this way? "You know my what!" She said, blushing once more, this Digimon shore was the open type, it was unheard of to make Calysta blush so many times, crossing her arms. This Digimon wasn't a pervert he just like something that was perfect and learning more about things he did not know.
Nyao and the ever impatient Katsura kept listening in on the lecture.
"Huh, you don't seem odd to me."
Nyao shussed Katsura so she didn't end up interrupting the digimon, so the professor digimon was Calysta's partner after all? Well that shouldn't come at a big surprise, they were both someone who educate the young. But this meant Katsura could finally share all aspects of the digital world with Calysta. Now she could make her see the digital world for what Katsura saw it for. Come to think of it there were countless of possibilities right now. Katsura spaced out as she was lost in her own imagination and she only came back to reality when a rock was thrown near her, it sounded like the digimon professor wanted the duo to join. So they stood up and joined in with Calysta.
"Hmm did he sneak into Calysta's room at night? Maybe that's why he knows everything, portals are very useful for stuff like that"
"Ehh Katsura? Priorities."
"Oh right. I'm Ise Katsura this is my partner Nyao."
Katsura and Nyao bowed before the digimon in a greeting manner
This was really all so odd, a Digimon that was a know-it-all about stuff he shouldn't, but truth be told Calysta did think he was nothing but a liar, but she didn't wish to test that I deal with him, saying if it was true or not, because even if he was wrong they would have a close idea what Calysta's cup was. After hearing what Katsura said she blushed. "Katsura don't joke around about that stuff." Now they were bowing down towards the Digimon as she would just blink being the only normal one here anymore.
"It's nice to meet the both of you, so let me tell you what it is." Calysta would look at the Digimon with a stare, nobody has seen before, as that would make him rethink it, turning around. "It doesn't matter, I will leave that knowledge to myself for now." He when closer to Katsura telling her something quietly. "I'll tell you later." But he felt it again, that aura from Calysta, but changing the subject right away after feeling it.
"Anyway, how do you know this woman is my tamer, I don't mind the idea, but I don't know, this is all too random." He said thinking. As Calysta would speak, sighing. "If he is my Digimon I'm buying locks." She said as he would comment. "I know all passcodes to every lock in the world." She would see why now only children had Digimon.
Katsura more or less just shrugged at Calysta for saying she shouldn't "joke" like that. After all, Katsura had repeatedly disrespected others privacy by using portals, but she wasn't stupid enough to admit that to her own caretaker. On the other hand it probably was telling how indifferent Katsura was to the subject. Katsura looked confused at Calysta after realizing she wasn't bowing. When you greet someone, you should bow right? Either way Katsura nodded to the digimon.
"Oh okay then, this is a school? Umm tamer is a little rude, digimon aren't wild animals to be enslaved. That's why I say best friends for life. Oh right!"
Katsura lightened up as she remembered what this means.
"Calysta, found your best friend for life! Now you're just like me."
Katsura reached out to hug Calysta as her way to celebrate this turn of events.
"You know, if the digidevice says so then you're likely partners
She would look confused, why should you bow to a Digimon that was being so disrespectable? It might have been funny, but still, it didn't remove the fact. "I see, but Tamer is the suitable word, that has been used for years, it might not be befitting in the sense, but I will use the correct term." He said showing that side of the rules, acting like not using the word tamer was going against them. She would blink. "Best friend for life really him?" She said finding that to be right. She was hugged thinking Katsura was too happy about this, but she knew why smiling but still I had to take him home?
The Digimon thought to himself and had no choice. "Fine if your Digivice says it, then it's true that is also another rule, and I could do worse." She would look at him. "What do you mean, you could do worse?" She said as he would finish this lesson for today. "Today's class is over everyone leave." Not even listing towards Calysta. "Why you." She said as he spoke towards Katsura. "You sound too happy that someone else has a Digimon, why is that it doesn't benefit you in any way?" He said finding Katsura's emotion odd. "We should plan where we're going next." He said already asking the other question.
"At least say partner" Katsura muttered, obsessed about getting the final word. Nyao shrugged at Katsura.
"Katsura, just this one time let it go."
"Sigh, fine" Katsura said crossing her arms, by the end of the day Katsura was still just a 15 year old teenager and never was it easier for Nyao to see than right now. Katsura simply nodded at Calysta's question confining that she genuinely believed not only her own words but that Calysta had found her digimon whatever that made her. She saw the digimon accepting Calysta as her partner, while Calysta was offended by way it was worded?
"You'll be surprised how bad it can be." Katsura snarked, responding to Calysta "not being the worst". Memories of Aeron and Bones started filling her in and not to mention the from her opinion dysfunctional relationship between Alexis and Hackmon. Come to think of it even the more sane pairings had at best large shocks and awkwardness while things were getting settled. So to Katsura, Calysta is indeed a better option. She then turned her attention back to the digimon.
"The bond between humans and digimon mean everything to me."
Katsura then started staring at Calysta waiting fit guidance on where to go next.
"I guess your right that I could do worse." He said, agreeing to become a Digimon to a human, it was a life lesson he could learn on his new journey. "So where to next?" Calysta would thank Katsura, but the way the Digimon said it still left a bad taste in our young lady's mouth. He said looking at Calysta much in the same way Katsura would. She didn't know what to say, Calysta didn't know this world one little bit. "Well....." She said trying to think, but had no answer, it wasn't like going to another country and you could use a map or wander around and finding something, this place was more magical than anything else, that is why she had to let someone else choose, who's been here more than anyone else. "Katsura I think it's best if you pick I haven't been here as much as you, so I don't really know where we can go." She said switching the choice back towards her waiting to see if she would pick anything crazy.
As it became more and more apparent that everyone would be following Katsura's lead, she started grabbing her anxiously grabbing her sleeve. Katsura wasn't used to lead and aside from the favorite tree which in hindsight was more an excuse to get her way over Nyao, now that she actually got the leader role it was difficult for her to know what to do with it.
"Umm there's Terminus and the plains and... Terminus... Ehm?" The fact that Katsura was incredibly sheltered for a tamer with almost 2 years of experience was starting to get to her. Was that really all the locations she knew about? This was embarrassing and Katsura was certain she'd lose face if the others were to realize that. No, she had to do something to hide this. So she took out her digidevice and pressed random buttons on the teleportation device while trying to look concentrated. Until...
"Whitewater! Yeah, it's a city near the water. That's a place." Katsura stood up with her arms and a confident smile to try to hide the fact her digidevice just happen to display that location by sheer coincidence.
Maybe it wasn't right to allow Katsura to take over? It wasn't a bad idea, but she did sound and look a little nervous, but Calysta had no other choice, giving she doesn't know anything about this world yet, being a new tamer who just got her Digimon today. She finally found a place guess it was good for Katsura to try and get out of that shell and become someone who has more confidence in doing things. "That sounds good we can go there." She said having a smile, ready to follow or teleport there.
"Next time we come here, hopefully I know it a little better to get around so you don't have to pick every time." She said possessing a smile, hoping that would make Katsura feel a little better. "Well, we better get going, there isn't any rush so we can just enjoy ourselves today." Calysta said ready to head out with her new Digimon following behind all of them.
