The chase over before she had gotten very far Tatsu stomped her hurried motions, almost skipping back to Hideo as she grinned up at him. "Mmhmm, I'm totally an angel see!" The tiny Digimon half-twisted around to expose the wings on her back to Hideo, fluttering them in the air for a moment, a small pout dancing across her face at the apparent lack of flight that came with the motion, the expression vanishing in the breath of a moment as she tilted her head to the side, glancing up at Hideo. "See, angel." A bright grin flashed at him as the tiny in-training settled down on the floor next to him, idly pulling at a blade of grass. "Only I can't really fly, or you know, do much of anything that's angellic...yet. One day I'm gonna grow into a big proper Angel, I hope, or something cool! What're you going to grow into when you grow up?" The question came full of the innocence and friendliness that characterised so many young digimon, a curiosity about the world they found themselves in that seemed to draw them on into a constant ball of roiling energy.
Not all that far away Chiaki drew to a stop, glancing back over her shoulder at Kuki before turning a worried gaze onto the boy rubbing dirt from his face. The girl's hands instantly went to her pockets, reaching into the pouches to extract a handkerchief she offered to Nelson with a soft smile. "Umm...honestly, I think you might be making it worse there. Try using this, it might help a bit." Hazel eyes flicked over to glance at Smamemon, dancing between his face and the impact crater that he had dug into the ground. "It is a pretty good likeness of you I have to admit." Reaching for her bag the girl extracted a paper towel she'd originally intended to use after lunch, holding it out to the Digimon. "Here, you might want to clean up too...and just for the record a baby digimon probably doesn't even know what a coward is, he probably thought you were playing catch with him or something."

Hideo giggled a bit when Tatsu told him to watch her efforts. " I'll try!" he laughed, " but that might be a bit hard for me." He couldn't see her wings at all - or anything, for that matter - but he definitely heard something flapping right where Tatsu's voice had been. He assumed that the in-training actually had being flying right in front of him. " I'm sure you'll become a great big angel, who can fly faster than a jet!" He patted the little angel on the head - one part to comfort him, another to just be sure it didn't actually have a halo - right on what felt like a fin. No halo. But that didn't mean he wouldn't get one when he evolved further. Though he had to wonder if the fin would still be there. As for what he was gonna become, his answer was quick. " Me? Someone taller, I hope!" He couldn't resist laughing a little at his own joke - he hoped she had the same reaction. " But when I get older, I hope I can become a doctor. My parents say I gotta have really good grades, and if I can do really well, I could get into medical school when I get older." Something he could do to help other people was all he could ask for. Back with the new arrivals, Kuki couldn't help but feel bemused by the rookie's reasoning. " That's why you were chasing after a baby?" Kuki said, a nonexistant eyebrow raised. " Trust me, these babies only think about two kinds of people: who to run from, and who to play with. And they can be dangerous to both if you aren't careful." She looked back to her partner, just to make sure he wasn't already covered in baby digimon. Thankfully, the only one in his company was Tatsu, and she at least trusted her to alert her if the swarm returned, whether directly or by using whatever attack got them off Hideo the first time. " 'Cowardice' is just what they do. Even they know it's smarter to get away from someone bigger and higher-level than them. Bubbles are just their way of saying 'get away from me'." Though it seemed this human was going to get hurt by more than just baby bubbles. With his luck, it was only a matter of time before the baby horde came for him. " Hurting the babies here isn't really a good idea anyways. A place like this has to have a least one guardian, to keep anyone from just strolling in and eating all the babies." Kind of like that one sign she saw before Hideo went on his bouncing spree, forbidding any more Meicoomon from entering the Village, for doing just that. " Wouldn't surprise me if they're already watching us." Chiaki KurodaSmokeMarch

Nelson blinked a few times, before chuckling nervously and accepting the handkerchief, not really sure how it would really help, as he couldn't really see where the dirt was. Regardless, he still rubbed around his face, trying to get the dirt out of his face, to the best of his ability. "Thanks, then." He nodded, hesitating for a moment, as he wondered if he should just toss it, but he figured she should decide what to do with it, as it was kind of hers to decide what to do with, so he handed it back. Meanwhile, Smamemon glanced back at the hole he made, before glancing back, shrugging carelessly, "It is my face." He agreed.
Smamemon shrugged, casually, "I fight for less than that, honestly" He explained, before focusing his glossy gaze at the human, right in the eyes, as he explained the rules of the area. "Cool." He stated, but Nelson was quite familiar with Smamemon's infinitely subtle expressions, and he was already back on his feet, "No." He said, pointing at the small digimon.
Smamemon, however, glanced back at his partner, "Why not?" He asked, before Nelson stepped closer to the small creature, "If they're called guardians, that means there's probably a few, even if you somehow beat one, more will probably come." He explained, before he caught himself, turning back towards the others, "Ah, sorry, he can't figure out how to relax... ever, we-" He was elbowed in the shin, once more, "-I wanted to some peace and quiet for once, but this guy can start a fight anywhere, I guess." He sighed, before he caught himself, "oh, sorry, I'm Nelson, this little guy is Smamemon." He explained, as Smamemon did not change at all, only giving a brief "yo. Wanna fight?" in introduction, which caused Nelson to sigh, "Listen, if you don't calm down, you're going back in the loader." He warned, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Ohhh a doctor person, that would be cool, you can help people and wear a white coat and get one of those cool stethescope things...but you're too nice to end up all grouchy like them!" Tatsu's experience with doctor's was pretty limited to what she had seen on TV, and popular shows like House and Scrubs might not have given her the best opinion of doctors in general, no matter how much Chiaki told her it wasn't real. The tiny Digimon peered up at Hideo urgently, amber eyes staring at him unblinkingly, "Promise you won't end up a grouch? Cause if you do I'm gonna come find you and do all the explosions of love to cheer you up. Like BOOOM!" As she spoke Tatsu threw her hands up into the air, replicating an explosion as her short hands cycled through the air excitedly. While the mini-angel was expressively doing her best impression of a bird taking flight Chiaki was shooting a grin back over her shoulder at Kuki, her thumb jerking in the spider digimon's direction. "She's right you know, the baby was just curious, and maybe a little scared but no lasting damage done right?" The girl gave Nelson a worried look, hazel eyes flicking over his frame before she nodded, "See he's fine...you are fine right? I mean the strong silent thing is good, but not if you're actually hurting." Pausing the girl blinked, a flush rising to her cheeks as she bobbed her head apologetically at Nelson, turning the movement into a quick half bow, a faint blush colouring her cheeks, "I'm sorry, I totally forgot to introduce myself didn't I? I'm Chiaki, Chiaki Kuroda, and," she gestured at the white one who was poking at Hideo's foot to make sure it wasn't injured, "That's Tatsu who has apparently been watching too much TV." As she straightened the teenager glanced around nervously, she'd been spending a lot of time in the village of beginning, but the idea that some larger guardians had been watching them was more than a little terrifying. "Yeah...lets not get into a fight with the guardians, please?" The girl turned her brightest smile onto Smamemon, "I really don't want to get kicked out of this place just yet. I'm pretty sure Tatsu would kill me in my sleep if she got locked away from all of the other baby digimon."SmokeMarch Hideo Kino

Hideo couldn't resist giggling at Tatsu's request - and then the "threat" he made to make sure he followed through with it. " Don't worry - I don't plan on ever becoming anything other than the best doctor! And that means I won't be grumpy." He couldn't think of a single doctor he talked to that he could even think of as grumpy. All of them were really nice to him. "I promise I won't be the first grumpy doctor you meet!" In truth, Kuki didn't actually know if they were being watched, or if there were even any guardians. It just made sense that a place like this had digimon protecting it from some random person looking for a cheap way to get stronger. And someone had to enforce those banned digimon rules, or else this place would've been much emptier. It was fortunate that the human was far more reasonable than his partner was. Kuki could only glare at the Smamemon as it immediately requested to fight. " I'm not exactly a baby, but I'm pretty sure they'd stop any kind of fighting from going on here. Plus, I don't want to end up hurting any of the babies here, not just because it's a bad thing to do." Not that she wouldn't slap away a horde of babies if they came for her partner again, but she was going to make sure that would never have to happen. And yet, that didn't stop her from failing to notice a single baby digimon that had managed to find Hideo yet again, a lone Botamon hopping ever so quickly to him like it hadn't seen him in years. Hideo didn't even notice it until it bounced right onto his hand, a feeling he both recognized and was somewhat anxious of, halfway jumping up out of anxiety. " Is...is there only one?" he asked Tatsu, afraid he was just about to face the horde yet again - yet still afraid of possibly hurting it by moving too fast. Fortunately, it was the only one that had found them. And if they looked around, it was the only one that seemed to be interested in looking for them. It didn't seem to mean any harm - all it seemed to do was want to snuggle by Hideo's hand. SmokeMarchChiaki Kuroda

Upon hearing the news that the guardians would step in, regardless of the nature of the conflict, the two reacted in completely opposite ways, Nelson sighed, in relief, "Finally a break!" Smamemon, however, started kicking at the dirt under his feet, his expression remaining exactly the same, despite his melancholy behavior. "I guess we gotta take a break then..." they muttered, stomping the same dirt he was kicking before, resulting in a very small puff of dust. Nelson sat down, "Agh, my feet are killing me!" He whined, "We've been walking for days, and fighting, and walking, and playing card games, and walking." He continued, whining mainly to himself, just to get it out there.
Meanwhile, Smamemon looked back at their crater, and tilted his body, before rubbing his head with his gloved fist. They then brought their hand to their round chin. "Hmm... Yup." They stated, as if they decided something. Nelson laid back, his tense, nervous behavior from before seemingly vanishing. He stared up at the cloudy sky, remarking just how similar it was to the real world, which put him at ease. This was, of course, before he noticed the glint of metal in the corner of his eye.
Turning his head, he spotted his partner in the air, about a dozen meters off the ground, before he came rocketing back down, with a dull "thhunp!" on impact, as a dust cloud formed around the extraordinarily violent rookie level, as they slammed their face into the ground, once more. They pulled themselves back up, a moment later, shaking the dirt off their face, as they then glanced at the crater they landed next to, before returning his attention to the new hole he made. He glanced at the others, speaking in their childlike monotone, "What do you think?" They asked, as Nelson was already moving towards him, to make sure he was okay.

Tatsu gave the baby digimon snuggling upto Hideo's side a dirty look, if she had been an animal hissing would be occurring right now. Hideo was her snugglebuddy! Thought fled from her mind almost as quickly as it had arrived, after all, he was so big and he did have two hands so maybe she could share the snuggles, but just with one other digimon...the problem was, "Where there's one there's always more."
Tatsu hopped down of Hideo's knee where she'd been perched, ambling in a circle around the boy as she peered at the village surrounding them. She could imagine a horde of tiny digimon pouring out of every crevice and doorway, a veritable tide that would overwhelm them. Although, for now at least, that was just in her imagination and the doors remained empty...too empty. The white mini-angel completed her circuit and glanced down at the little digimon snuggling up to Hideo before looking at the boy himself. "I don't like it she admitted, not sure if it was the digimon's presence or the threat it carried with it. "Maybe we should join the others?"
While the others were struggling with the threat posed by the smallest of the digimon, Chiaki found her attention drawn to an entirely different mon. The teenager wasn't sure if she should laugh or be shocked at the way the digimon had thrown itself at the ground like that. As it was she settled for a mix, dropping to her knees next to him, reaching out to brush the dirt off his face as she traded a helpless look with Kuki and Nelson. "Umm, it looks just like you, better likeness than before. I'm sure some of the kids will make up stories about the face that suddenly appeared in the dirt...but you really shouldn't do things like that. You could have hurt yourself or something. Can't really go picking fights with the earth." Biting her lip she glanced up at the others, unsure of how to treat this as hazel eyes danced between Kuki and Nelson before she caught the boy's gaze, nodding down at the digimon, mouthing, 'is he always like this at him'.

Hideo still wasn't too sure if there were any others, but he wasn't already being swarmed by babies again, which was a good sign. And if Tatsu's comment was anything to go by, this was the only one around (so far). Hideo breathed a sigh of relief as the baby made itself comfortable on his hand. At least he had someone to warn him in case another swarm was approaching. Curious, Hideo picked up the little baby, who wouldn't seem the least bit distressed by suddenly being moved. He once again felt the baby's head, and it confirmed what it was: it was the same digimon that he was holding before the swarm came. It was still light and squishy and it still had those somewhat-firm-but-squishy ears. The little guy even coo'ed as it was being rubbed, which earned a smile from the boy. Even when Tatsu suggested they moved, Hideo stayed where he was. " Well, if there isn't any more of them, it can't be a bad idea to stay here, right?" Besides, Kuki told him to wait there while she talked to the new people. And it sounded like they were still talking, though he wasn't paying attention to what they were talking about. With how many times this human had fallen to the ground since she met him, Kuki was starting to question how well he could see. He didn't seem blind, since he seemed much more aware of where he was going than Hideo, but he'd already hit the dirt several times. Over his own partner. " Sitting down is probably the best idea for you right now. Any more dirt in your face, and you'll get a facial." She looked back towards her partner, and her eyes opened when she noticed Hideo holding a Botamon in his hands. At least Tatsu was doing his best to survey the area for anything, but even a single baby digimon there made her anxious, even if a quick look around the area proved that this wasn't a harbinger of yet another horde. She looked back at the new pair, and pointed towards her own partner. " Let's go take a seat over there. Probably better if we stick together...and I wanna see why my partner's playing with one of the babies." Chiaki KurodaSmokeMarch

Nelson sighed, retreating from helping Smamemon to sitting on the back of his legs, before shifting to a cross-legged seat. "I'm not even sure if he can feel pain." He chuckled, shaking his head, and it was unclear whether he was joking or not. He shrugged, at Chiaki's questioning stare, "You know you can say whatever you want near him." he explained, casually, "Strangely enough, insulting him is like the one thing he doesn't get set off at." And Smamemon pitched in, "I don't like people who keep stuff from me." They explained, before returning their attention to the ground, tilting their head casually examining their handiwork.
They didn't glance towards Kuki, "Getting dirty's a part of life, no point avoiding it." they remarked, and Nelson stared, "Wow, that was... actually something other than fighting, I think." he remarked, before Smamemon continued, "So the dirtier I get, life'll pass quicker, and I'll get to my next brawl." They continued, prompting Nelson to sigh and cock his head back. He then shook his head, returning his attention to the newcomers, it was pretty rude for him not to know anything about them, just yet. "So, why are you guys here? I'm just trying to catch a break from this place, it's like everywhere I turn there's a bloodthirsty monster, right?" he chuckled, internally shocked at his own courage in speaking with people. Perhaps dealing with Smamemon's mad obsession with punching anything and everything had made normal human conversation a much less scary prospect for him?
Regardless, his thoughts were interrupted, once more, by his overly aggressive bowling ball, who had raised one of his fists above the two craters, remarking a casual "Nah. Bored now." Before Nelson recognized the way his partner's fist was glowing, and he quickly yanked out a tiny chip, slipping it into his loader, causing Smamemon's whole arm to glow, as he punched the dirt, as the Attack Chip overrode Smamemon's highly explosive intended attack, instead making it simply an enhancement effect on his punch. Smamemon tilted his head, at this behavior, before glancing at Nelson, who was already on his feet and aiming his xros loader at him. "You can't just explode things you don't like, and did you forget you destroy your own hand with that attack?" Nelson warned, his voice taking a surprisingly terse tone, before he seemed to recover himself. "I, uh-" he stammered, starting to back away from Smamemon, before the ball just sat down with a simple "ok." before rolling onto his back. It was unclear whether they wanted to roll backwards, but he just ended up doing it, regardless.

"I...uh..." It wasn't often that this happened but Chiaki could honestly say that she was completely stumped by Smamemon. There were some Digimon who liked to fight, there were some humans who liked to fight as well, that wasn't unusual. What got her was Smamemon seemed to only think about fighting or moving towards his next fight. The girl transferred her gaze back towards Nelson, surprisingly enough the boy seemed utterly at ease with his Digimon's actions, with the careless violence he displayed so readily. The girl reached out for the digmon to steady him, offering him a hand to stand up if he wanted to, "I mean, I agree with Kuki, we should probably go and check on the other two but...can you try not to punch anything for a little while. I don't know about the baby Digimon or Hideo over there," she nodded her head at the young boy who was patting the red baby digimon in his hands, "but I know that it'd really freak Tatsu out. She's not really used to a lot of violence, we've mostly just been hanging out in here recently."
Although perhaps it was time to start exploring some more, the digital world was so massive and vast that there was bound to be more to see than just one village. Ok so maybe she'd been the one who was more determined to stay here but it was just so peaceful, even compared to the real world, the Village of beginnings was uncomplicated, and that was something she couldn't deny the appeal of. Nt that Tasu seemed to care much, her view of the world was pretty uncomplicated too after all she realised as she grinned fondly over at the spot where her partner was huffily glaring at the baby digimon who had captured Hideo's attention.
"I mean...I guess if there's no more of them then it would be pretty safe to stay here." The small white digimon clambered down of Hideo's knee, crossing over to poke the baby cautiously, "But no calling any of your friends ok? Hideo's gonna be a not-grumpy doctor and I wanna see that so we can't let him get swarmed. Besides, he gives the best pets," she added glancing hopefully up at him.

Kuki simply shrugged at Smaemon's argument. He seemed to have only one thing on his mind - fighting - and anything he was saying or doing was in some way related to that subject. It'd be safe to assume that it was the only thing on that guy's mind - not the best in a safe place like this. So instead, she'd just talk to the clumsy human. " My partner back there couldn't stop himself from bouncing around when he found out how soft this place is. Ran me ragged trying to stick with him." Didn't help that she had been scared that he'd end up bouncing into something hard, or into someone. Like one of the babies. Why he decided to do that when he couldn't even see where he was going was beyond her. She made her way over to her partner, watching him grin as Tatsu mentioned something about headpats. He pet the little baby Botamon in his hand on the head, evidently giving the baby a chance to experience his aforementioned "best pets". Which she couldn't help but agree with. He really did give the best headpats. " I'm surprised any of them found you already," Kuki said, finally close enough to be right by her partner's side. " Looks like this is the only one that was still looking for you. Any idea why?" " I think this is the one that came out of that egg I found," Hideo said, letting the little baby joyously bounce on his hands. " Just picked it up, rubbed it a bit, and then this little guy is in my hands." Kuki was silent for a moment, just watching the little baby bounce, before the realization hit her. " Oooooooooooh, I get it it. He thinks you're his partner. Or one of the caretakers." Hideo's smile weakened a bit, though it still stood from the sheer joy of playing with this digimon. " But why would he think that?" " Digitama - that egg that you'd found - is where digimon are born from. They usually hatch on their own, but when humans rub them, they're supposed to hatch faster. And most digimon assume if a human finds their egg, they're their partner." The Botamon looked at Kuki, its previous exuberance seemingly gone. Kuki moved her front legs over to grab the baby before it got any more ideas. " Sorry little guy, but he's my partner. We can help you find-" Right before she could grab the Botamon, and before she could finish, the baby shot her a glare - and jumped right at her arm, biting down as hard as it could on one of her legs. This earned a shriek from the rookie, who immediately pulled herself back, the baby still holding tight with its bite. A now-confused Hideo was quick to talk. " Kuki? What's wrong?" " IT BIT ME!" she shouted, trying to shake it off with no avail. " IT'S NOT LETTING GO!" Chiaki Kuroda SmokeMarch

Smamemon reached out to her hand, placing his glove on her outstretched arm. Although, he then pushed against her, rolling backwards, landing on his feet. They stared at her, tilting their head. They then hopped up to Nelson's shoulder, and Nelson sagged a bit from his partner's weight, before he managed to hoist Smamemon up, and the spherical creature rested by hanging off of his "boss"'s back. Nelson sighed, "You cool now?" "I'm not in the mood anymore." They stated, "Plus you said not to." Nelson raised a brow, slightly, before gripping his partner's gloves. "Alright, I'll just follow you, I guess."
The two would walk around, following the other human casually, Smamemon staring intently at the other, while Nelson took a look around, with a sense of wonder he never really had the time to appreciate the actual strange beauty of this world, mainly out of fear. A cry of pain from a distance stole both of their attention away. Nelson flinched, and Smamemon hoisted himself to stand on Nelson's shoulders, his blank eyes flicking one way, then the next. Nelson was about to say something, but then he realized his partner had heard it too.
"Wait, no..." He started, before he staggered, from his partner leaping off of him. Smamemon was already airborne, spying the rookie level trying to kick off the baby level. The small creature drew back their fist, before recalling his explicit orders. As a result, he hesitated mid-air, drifting off-target and slamming head-first into the ground next to Kuki. This time Smamemon was stuck side-ways into the dirt, kicking his legs uselessly, as he spoke, "Hi. Want me to punch that thing?" They asked, seemingly believing it's okay if he got permission from someone. Meanwhile, Nelson caught view of his falling friend and ran after him.

This entire situation was becoming increasingly unbelievable as time went on. Things like this just didn't happen in real life...did they? Well, to be fair, things like the digital world shouldn't exist in real life either but, here they were. So some suspension of belief should be allowed, it was just...well she never seemed to be able to catch her breath as far as the digital world was concerned. Still, she'd never expected to find herself in a situation like this. The teenager stared at Smamemon in surprise for a moment before she reached a hand down to Tatsu, the small white digimon jumping up onto her hand and scrambling up her arms to settle herself cautiously on Chaiki's shoulder. "He just appeared like boom," the white Digimon commented as she reached out one hand to rest on the girl's head. "Yeah..." a pair of brown eyes rested on the boisterous digimon's frame as he peered up at Kuki, "I think he kinda has a habit of that."Still, she couldn't spend too long wondering about his habit of physically attacking every potential threat, and being more than a little thankful that she wasn't included on the list. After all, the spider-type didn't seem to be in the most comfortable of situations. Cautiously the girl approached Kuki, grasping the Botamon firmly as she attempted to steady him. "Look kiddo, you can't just go attacking anyone you don't like, that's just rude. Let go of her, please," the baby didn't seem too intent on complying as she glanced down at Smamemon with a sigh, "you know, there are times I feel you're onto something here." Not that she would ever want to hurt a baby but, this botamon was hurting her friend. Hideo Kino | SmokeMarch
