DC#1 [Part 1] - Up to the clouds! [Boru/Titania]

The fruits kept falling from the top of the tree. As quick as he could, Boru placed them in the bag, until both his and Titania's were full. Then, he waved his arms at Ron, telling him to stop throwing.
The bee then fluttered down, smiling at the duo. "That's great. You seem to have a good stock." "Thank you for all of these fruits." Everyone in the mangrove was throwing their own input for their cause, and that was highly appreciated by the Psychemon. They weren't fighters, but they all were giving their best to help somehow.
Ron then shook his head. "Thanks for your hard work. Please, take care." He then tackled Tiatania's inquiry about the fruit, before waving his goodbyes at the two. "Well, if you insist... That is called Deceive Fruit. Some digimon throw them at their enemies to deceive them and escape from battle. Sadly, the effects vary for each Deceive Fruit, so I wouldn't be able to tell you what exactly that one does." The HoneyBeemon showed a thumbs up to the fairy. "But I'm sure you'll find it helpful."
Just like that and before they knew it, the rest of the day went by. The sunset had begun, and the group was back at the swamp where they first met, this time alongside Gero, the decoy.
"Once the sun had set and Gero gets inside the swamp, the parrot should appear." Sonia explained, while they all remained hidden in the brushwoods. "We have enough supplies. I would say we're prepared to whatever we find once we get to where that bird is going." Boru's eyes were fixed in the Bayou's layout. Sonia nodded, the firmest look in her eyes. "Let's go through the final plan then, shall we?"

"Ah, so it's like...flashing a lot of light into the eyes of the enemy to run away or disorient them. I see, I see." The fairy mused. "It should be helpful. You have my sincere thanks, Ron." It was inspiring to see all these people putting their hopes in the fairy. Almost made her wish Naoko was here. Then maybe this plan would have a much higher...certainty of working.
Oh, well. You need to deal with the hand you've been given.
As the rest of the day went by, as did thoughts of how this could go. "Of course. I believe Gero is set to be the bait, I'm going to remain hidden near him and emerge to attack Parrotmon. Anyone else have any input to add? I'm not the best with memory but this might as well be the short version of my role here..."

With her eyes going throughout the whole layout of the place time and time again, Sonia tackled Titania's question. "I know I said I would tell you the plan at the shack, but I decided we came here, since I think it's easier to explain the plan now that we're actually at the spot where it's taking place." That made sense for Boru. While Sonia talked, the four digimon remained hidden in the bushes. "As soon as the sun sets, Gero will get inside the mud and will act as if he were trapped." The bird pointed at the swamp in front of them, and then towards a tree. "I will be up that tree, hidden too. I will try to observe exactly from where that parrot is coming from and will give the signal to follow him once he starts retreating." She then turned again towards the fairy and the Psychemon. "You two, Titania and Boru, should stay right here, at the bushes."
She specifically addressed Boru for the next sentence. "I need you to make sure Gero doesn't get hurt or anything. Your help shouldn't really be needed but... If something happens, your priority should be to help him." The firmest of gazes appeared on the bird's countenance. Boru nodded, a little dubious. "Titania, prepare your best move, okay? Once that Parrotmon is trying to snatch Gero from the swamp, I want you to hit him with everything you've got." She then mused about that part of the strategy. "Maybe you should try a technique that's not physical, in case you've got one. We don't want him snatching you if you get too close."
If everyone agreed with the plan and the operation seemed crystal clear, they would all take their spots. Once the sun set and the Bayou was dark enough, Gero got inside the swamp, making sure to splash enough and act like if he was trapped. Meanwhile, Sonia awaited from up the tree.
"Do you hear anything?" Boru asked Titania in a whisper. Maybe the Parrotmon should be about to show up in any minute. From where the fairy was standing and since they were the only ones sharing that bush, Titania could be able to tell Boru was shaking and even sweating, the Psychemon was extremely nervous.

That was an okay move, truth be told. Telling the plan at the staging ground. Titania folded her arms and decided to listen to the fullest she could. "...Right on. We should be able to do this effectively. Plus...My best move..." She had to really think on what the heck she could throw at a Parrotmon. That could matter, too...
Non-physical, however. She had just the thing for that.
The fairy took her spot within the bushes, and waited for the plan, and as the sun set, she decided to enact her part. She quietly digivolved to Kazemon and laid in wait. "...I don't hear anything yet. Stay calm, my friend." She was certain that this was going to go well, but she had to act fast. Precise.

His countenance lighting up, Boru just stared at Titania as she evolved once again. He then nodded while this new, more imposing form, asked him to keep quiet. The next could have been the two longest minutes of Boru's life. Gero kept splashing in the mud, while they waited for something to happen. The Psychemon tried to look for Sonia in the branches of the tree, but couldn't quite spot her. She was very well hidden, he guessed. Starting to get impatient, Boru opened his mouth to speak once again. What was he going to say? It didn't really matter. Before he could utter any word, a shadow, moving extremely fast, went by in front of his eyes. Whatever this was, it moved so fast that the sound of the leaves displaced by it only reached the Psychemon's ears after actually seeing the creature right above the swamp. It wasn't Parrotmon, that much was clear. It was moving too fast and too low to be the bird he had seen last night. "DOWN!" Only a sole shout from Sonia could be heard. Boru's eyes then caught Gero trying to dive into the mud, only for his tail to be taken by this creature's mouth. Due to the thickness of the mud, the beast seemed to be having trouble to get the red frog out, while Gero kept moving his claws desperately, trying to dig into the quicksand. The moonlight going through one of the tree's branches finally illuminated the scene, letting Boru catch a glance of the creature. A fierce Airdramon, around five times the Psychemon's size, was pulling from Gero's tail. Boru just stared at the scene unfold, completely paralyzed.

There had been a time to stay quiet as well as a time to act. Both of these had come in the last two minutes, and the latter was most definitely now. Boru's silence, despite being rather difficult to keep (or so it seemed to Titania) paid off in the end. Because now?
Now, she could definitely surprise the assailant. Who was not a Parrotmon, but rather an...Airdramon? At least this fight would be a little more even. The Kazemon sprang into action, flying out from the bushes and into the air as little cyclones enveloped her fingertips, before she thrust her hands out, and the cyclones all funneled out at the Airdramon, coalescing into one before it aimed to blow right into him.
The dragon would find, very quickly, that the winds seemed to cut at whatever they touched, if they made contact with him...

The giant dragon trying to get Gero out of the swamp didn't notice the whirlwind until it was actually... On him, cutting him with the air movement. A roar of pain escaped the Aidramon, as his attention turned towards Titania. The creature, with the wind swirling around him, damaging his skin, would slam towards her, trying to bite the Fairymon with his enormous fangs, over and over again.
If the fairy moved back, the dragon would chase her, as he continued trying to crunch her with his giant fangs, non-stop.
Gero would take his head out of the swamp, just looking at the battle develop, while Boru remained hidden under the brush, almost paralyzed from fear. A brutal bout continued to taking place next to the swamp.
Sonia's eyes were wide opened, staring at the fight. Even though she was happy seeing that Gero was safe, her mind was clouded with doubts. What in the world was going on? Who was this Airdramon?
Battle Log:
Crunch, crunch, crunch!: Airdramon bashes towards his opponent, trying to bite them fiercely. During the next turn, Airdramon will continue to attempt bitting the opponent, unable to perform any other technique, but also stopping the enemy from performing any technique on him, at least not without taking the high risk of being bitten. First off, a question needed to be asked. "This isn't a Parrotmon! Where's the Parrotmon?!" Titania yelled as she flew back to avoid the Airdramon's vicious and raging appetite. She was hoping that Boru or Sonia would lend some support as she made a concentrated effort to tire the Airdramon out. For while both were meant to be in the sky, Titania was the goddamn empress of the skies. "I could use some help up here!"
Suffice to say, Titania was not in much of a position to continue attacking. More evading. Her flight took her into the skies and then back towards the ground, near the mud. With luck, he'd grow careless, and slam into something. Hopefully.

The battle continued and Aidramon kept trying to catch Titania with its huge fans. Time after time, the beast attempted to dismember the Kazemon and kept following her, forcing her to move around the whole stage, going up to the skies. There, she would be able to make sure the dragon didn't get her, as long as she kept herself in movement. If she stopped for even a second, the beast would definitely crunch her. Not long after she requested some aid, Sonia would go out of her hideout in the brushwoods, flying straight into the sky too. "Slicing wind!" Fluttering her wings, the Falcomon would manage to throw three small whirlwinds to the monster, making a direct hit since he was too worried trying to chomp on Titania. The hit made it move back for a second, but then, it flew straight against Sonia, trying to crush the bird with its huge teeth. She would manage to move out of the way of a couple of bites just by an inch, but it was clear she was not as fast as Titania, and that monster would get her in the next few attempts if she didn't get some help. Boru was staring at the fight develop on top of him until a splashing sound raised his attention. It came from the small pool of mud at his west side. Upon turning, his eyes widened when he saw... Parrotmon was already there, just some meters separated the Psychemon and the monster. Luckily, it hadn't seen him, since he was well-hidden in that brush. Boru's gaze went to the leg of the giant digimon, a bright red color raised his attention. The fear was making it hard for him to actually study the scene but after a second he actually identified what it was. With its left foot, the giant parrot was actually grabbing Gero, who was desperately trying to enter the swamp. The force the bird was pulling him with would make him go out in some seconds if he didn't act fast. However, Boru was paralyzed. He knew he had to do something he just... couldn't. He was trying very hard, but his body just wouldn't move. Just how had that giant bird digimon managed to get so close to Gero without them noticing? Were they actually that distracted with Airdramon to not see him? Or had it used some sort of tactic? Whatever it was, both Gero and Sonia were in trouble right now, they had to do something! Battle Log:Airdramon:Crunch, crunch, crunch!: Airdramon bashes towards his opponent, trying to bite them fiercely. During the next turn, Airdramon will continue to attempt bitting the opponent, unable to perform any other technique, but also stopping the enemy from performing any technique on him, at least not without taking the high risk of being bitten. Titania had been preoccupied with the Airdramon and the lingering and nagging question of where the Parrotmon was--or if the Airdramon -was- the Parrotmon. She continued to fly, and as she reached the skies, found she wasn't being...chased? Huh.
Now it was going for Sonia. Something that was arguably -worse.- "...Astato VESPA!" The fae shouted at the top of her lungs. She had already been in the air, so Titania was able to come down upon Airdramon immediately, aiming to stomp on him twice in succession! If she had missed and gone to the ground? Well, that'd be neat. Either way...
In doing that...Titania caught a glimpse of the true target. Parrotmon was NOT Airdramon. They were two separate entities and the former had caught Gero in his claw! "Boru!" Titania called out. She was occupied right now...But hopefully the cowardly Psychemon could help Gero before she had the chance to get to him!
Astato Vespa: Kazemon leaps into the air, before coming down on her opponent to stomp on them, twice.
Titania's trying to slam dunk Airdramon with the above move.

The dragon was too busy trying to munch on Sonia to try to avoid Titania’s incoming attack. He let go a growl of pain after receiving two stomps on the upper side of its serpent-like body. The creature started collapsing into the ground, plumbing at high speed. The Fairymon’s strength had proven to be something else. Sonia, who was still exhausted from escaping the Aidramon’s fangs, turned down below, to see the giant Parrotmon trying to snatch her friend. It was probably too late. They wouldn’t get to the giant bird on time before it managed to take the tiny red frog. Boru was Gero’s only hope.
At ground level, the Psychemon was paralyzed, staring at the winged beast as it finally pulled Gero out of the swamp and started lifting him above ground. He was trying to move, but he was just too scared. The words he had heard throughout the day from the digimon inside the Mangrove kept echoing through his head.
Gero... “I can't say I know them for long, but you seem to trust these two, right?”
Ron… "I'm too much of a weakling to fight or do something against those guys myself, but... if when you go there, you see a small Fanbeemon, just... try to bring her back, okay?"
Suddenly, the train going through memory lane stopped. The voice of Titania had reached Boru, making his eyes widen. His scared gaze turned into an angry countenance, staring firmly at the monster.
“There are... too many digimon counting on us.” The horned digimon finally uttered some words. He opened his legs, getting into an offensive stand. “I might not be as strong as Sonia or Mrs. Titania, but…” A purple-colored electricity started circling around his horn. “If I might lend a bit of strength from all of them… I'M GOING TO STOP YOU!”
The horned digimon started running towards his enemy, with his horn fully charged with energy. Just at the border of the swamp, the Psychemon took a leap, attempting to reach the Parrotmon's leg. At that moment, the bird noticed his presence. Before it could catch him with his left foot, Boru managed to slam his right one with his horn, making him growl in pain, and loosening the grip of Gero, making the frog fall into the swamp. During all of this time, the stripped pelted creature was always aiming for his enemy's leg, attempting to free the red Otamamon. That was always his goal.
Immediately, the giant parrot managed to catch Boru, lifting him immediately and taking flight upwards. He stopped mid-air to catch Aidramon with his other foot, who was falling and seemingly unconscious after Titania's stomping. From there, the bird kept going up. “Boru!” Sonia yelled.
He had effectively saved Gero, but had basically swaped places with him. Now the Psychemon was the one being captured and the Parrotmon was starting to fly away with the child digimon on his grip.
Battle Log: -Go, Hare!: Boru's horn is named Hare. He unleashes a frontal attack, jumping directly against the opponent, charging Hare with electric energy and dealing a medium amount of damage.

One thing down, another to go! Titania hopped off of the now-downed Airdramon and had turned around to fly towards Parrotmon!
...All too late, however. Despite the little guy having a sudden burst of bravery, the parrot had not been stopped. No, Gero may be free now but Boru had been captured instead, and the Airdramon? They weren't in collusion, nope. Because he just got captured too! "...Sonia, grab Gero, we're following that bird!" Titania shouted as she took off after the bird!
She didn't know where he was headed to, but cross her heart, she would pursue that Parrotmon to the ends of the Digital World if need be--hopefully with her company in tow!

No. There was no way Sonia was taking Gero with them to follow this parrot to wherever he was heading. The frog had been through enough today. On the other foot, next to Boru, Airdramon had woken up! Screaming and kicking (figuratively), the beast was trying to release its body from the Parrotmon’s grip. Out of pure frustration, the dragon shot a blast of fire towards the bird, making it screech of pain, and loosening the grip on the foot that was holding Boru to effectively hook the Airdramon with both feet, tightening the grip, making the dragon lose consciousness again. Once it was high enough, the Parrotmon started moving to the west, at high speed, having the dragon gripped with both feet. That meant that now an unconscious Boru was on free fall! Sonia turned at Titania, who was logically going to try to save the Psychemon. “No! You follow the Parrotmon! Don’t lose him! I will help Boru!”Sonia immediately flew towards the stripped pelted creature falling, trying to grab him with both feet and wings, but he was too heavy. She was unable to fly while she was holding him and she was going down too now! The air going through all of her body. The panic of freefalling at such high speed. There were so many things going through Sonia’s head that she wasn’t even able to think clearly. Was this the end? Was she going to die here? There was no way neither she or Boru was surviving this kind of fall. At this point, she couldn’t even fly to save herself. Probably it was the fear and desperation of being unable to save the Psychemon, but even if she fluttered her wings, she couldn’t fly. Slowly closing her eyes while she looked down below, she could see the top of the trees of the Bayou. They were getting closer and closer. In any second, she and Boru would slam the ground and be done for good. Unless… Inside all of this hurricane of thoughts that went through her mind, his memory appeared. Her best friend. Her lover. Her family. That Metalmamemon she had fallen in love with years ago. “That’s not right. There’s something you can do and I can’t. It’s right there.”“Something I can do?”“Of course…”“ … you can…” “FLY!” Sonia suddenly yelled, her eyes opening widely. A glimmering light covered her body, energy flowing through all of it.
Titania would probably find the velocity of Parrotmon was hard to match. Even though gigantic, the digimon moved at a very high speed. Just some moments later, she would feel her body lifting up a little more. She would end up on the top of a gigantic, feathery, red bird. Next to her, her eyes would meet a still unconscious Boru, over the layout of the huge creature. “Are you okay, Titania?” A deep, mature voice asked. It was coming from the creature she was now on top of. The giant bird had her eyes affixed on the green flying monster they were following. One thing was for sure: they were going to follow that Parrotmon wherever it was necessary. For Koru. For Roru. For Gero. For Ron. For the whole Mangrove. And for Agner, too. Gero quickly climbed up a tree. Standing at the top of the scrub of leaves, he stared at the giant bird moving into the distance. "With every step, you are getting closer to become what he once expected from you. Show them your never-ending love is stronger than anything else. Sonia, the Aquilamon."(III) Digital Chronicle # 1 (Part 1): Up to the clouds! A never-ending love and Boru and Titania's great adventure! (COMPLETED)

With the hope that her company would be right behind her in hand, Titania took off after the Parrotmon. Maybe Gero would stay behind--that'd be better on her. He had done his part--now she had to pick up the slack by helping to save Boru.
That much was certain. However? The Parrotmon was faster than this form. It was genuinely incredibly difficult for Titania to keep up--an uphill battle. If only she could...push herself enough to evolve to Shutumon...That could keep up better. Yet...
Naoko Toriya was not here for that, was she?
The power to evolve was, essentially, the bread and butter of every Digimon. While it didn't come for Titania right now, it came for another. In a gust of wind, the Kazemon found herself atop the Falcomon's champion form. An Aquilamon. "...I'm fine. Let's show this green asshole what we're made of, yeah?"
