Well, crap. Now they were faced with three Champions AND three Ultimates that all wanted Adrian, White Wolf, Leith and his Shoutmon dead.
"Please, listen to me guys," White Wolf tried to plead to her Digimon partners, "this isn't you! You don't want to do this-"
"That's not going to work Wolf," Adrian says. "The Dianamon there is controlling them with that device. We get that, we take back their minds. But we need a way to do it first."
"Maybe an attack will just straight up destroy it- LOOK OUT!" Shoutmon yells as he pulls Adrian and White Wolf away from GeoGreymon's Mega Flame attack, which Shoutmon got the full blast of. Thankfully he was still left standing, but that attack did take away a bunch of his stamina. "Ow...."
Suddenly, Leith's Shoutmon gave away his position, causing the others to turn towards him. He seemed to want to help out... didn't they just say that he gave them away? Either way, now was not the time for asking questions.
"Alright, let's do this... Bellow Blaster!!!" The combined sound wave attack created a massive sound wave, causing everyone in the area to cover their ears, else they start to bleed. The vibrations began cracking the mind control device and eventually destroying it.
"NOOOOOO!" Dianamon screamed as the tiny pieces fell. "YOU ASSES! I'LL KILL YOU ALL MYSELF!"
Meanwhile, GeoGreymon and KendoGarurumon began to go back to their senses. "Ugh... what happened?"
"We'll explain later. Right now, we have a fight on our hands... so let's give them all we got!"

Leith had two things going for him that helped him not get completely destroyed by those simultaneous noise attacks. One was the advance warning, obviously, letting him cover his ears in due time. The other part was he was a metal musician with naturally impaired hearing as a result. And yet, despite that, Leith still shut his eyes and grimaced at the sound. While his eyes were shut, though, he heard a crash and felt the vibration of ExVeemon over him, not on top of him but damn near close. Leith was actually too scared to open his eyes until he heard, "I'm so sorry. I'll never do that again." Very gently, then, as a demonstration of his lucidity, the great dragon cupped Leith's chin and forced his Tamer to look him in the eye. It turned out ExVeemon, though baring his fangs, was also forming tears in the corners of his eyes. "Ah, God..." Leith sighed as he finally relaxed, laying his head completely flat on the ground and breathing hard.
"I'll never let you get hurt."
"Alright! Let's do this shit!" Shoutmon cheered that as he jumped down from his tree. However, he didn't quite hit the ground. Mid-fall, he, too, began to grow wings out his back at the same time his chest and face became covered by white armor plating. He grew spikes, claws, and held two orbs in his hands by the time he was his champion form Sonoramon, a form no one had ever seen before. "Sorry I'm late, guys! All your moms called!"
[/
[/div][/spoiler] "Not the time!" ExVeemon roared at his counterpart. "Shut your big mouth and focus on the fight!"
"You know what?" Sonoramon called as he hovered above the battlefield, "I'm with ya all the way, partners!"
Then... a miracle happened. "ExVeemon!"
/div] "Sonoramon!"
Both digimon simultaneously soared into the sky until they were far too high to be seen by anyone on the ground. On their way up, though, they could be heard simultaneously declaring, "DNA digivolve to-!" just before they disappeared. Wisely, Leith scurried backward quick as he could, not knowing what was about to happen but knowing damn sure he didn't want to be near it. As it turned out, he was right; like it was shot out of a cannon, a digimon that was neither Sonoramon nor ExVeemon slammed into the ground and made the whole area shake on impact. After letting out a massive roar, he - they - declared himself as, "AeroVeedramon!"
Leith was so stunned he couldn't even stand up.

"Yo, this would be a very touching moment if THERE WEREN'T STILL THREE GOONS THAT WANT TO KILL US!" Shoutmon yelled at Leith and ExVeemon. Luckily, Leith's Shoutmon joined the fight just in time, Digivolving into Sonoramon, a Digimon that neither Adrian nor White Wolf had seen before.
So of course, they both had to scan it to get its information.
"Not exactly the time for that," KendoGarurumon scolded the two humans. Suddenly, a miracle truly happened: Sonoramon and ExVeemon DNA Digivolved into a new Digimon: AeroVeedramon!
"Oh yeah, you guys are so dead," Adrian taunted the henchmen as he got out his digivice. "Ready, Shoutmon?"
"Hell yeah! Let's go!"
"Shoutmon, digivolve!"
Just then Shoutmon began to glow a very bright gold. "Shoutmon, warp digivolve to... OmniShoutmon!" In Shoutmon's place would stand a tall and lean dragon-man warrior, covered in shiny gold armor.
"Okay, you are totes lame," Dianamon yells as she gets into a battle stance.
"And today, you shall fall," Grademon adds, getting out his two swords and aiming them at the group.
"Ond da boss will come wit us!" Knightmon finishes, taking out his gigantic sword.
It would be a 3-on-4 battle. Now, who will make the first move?

When Sonoramon was scanned, the following information was learned: Name: Sonoramon Attribute: Free
Type: Sky Dragon Families: Dragon's Roar
The champion evolution of the rare organic Shoutmon, this digimon specializes in long range sound attacks for battle. Its moves include Sonic Bomb, which involves throwing one of its resonator orbs near an enemy while it rings to deal sonic damage; and Daze Screech, which entails screaming at a pitch so high that it interferes with the opponent's brain and causes an almost drunken-like state.
Of course, that digimon wasn't around long enough for the information to be much use.
AeroVeedramon looked over his shoulder at Leith, who at the same time felt the back of his head to check on his wound. When he looked at his hand, he found he was still bleeding, albeit a little slower. This sight enraged AeroVeedramon. "You forced me to attack my best friend!" he roared almost as loud as the earlier shouting attacks, "I'll make you beg me to destroy you!" This was a level of rage Leith had never seen from either digimon. Even against Niko, ExVeemon had recoiled against Leith's suggestion to use lethal force.
Not that Leith was about to argue it now.
"Bull charge!" this new amalgam of a digimon lowered his horn like a bull, bared his fangs, tread the ground once with a foot, then began to charge forward toward Grademon, the one who dared let a blade get so close to Leith's head. It was only at this point that Leith finally got to his feet frantically and ran to stand beside Adrian and Rebecca. "OmniShoutmon! Adrian! I'm sorry for being a waste of space at the mall, but we are not who we were then! We've become so much stronger! Just you watch!"
"He's- guys, I've never seen this before. This is...!"
AeroVeedramon attacked Grademon with Bull Charge. Bull Charge's accuracy is boosted by AeroVeedramon's Adaptability.
Bull Charge: This digimon lunges forward with its horns in an attempt to gore the opponent and deal damage. This is considered a close range ability for Adaptability.
Adaptability (passive): While this digimon is flying, his ranged attack accuracy is boosted by 20%, but his close-up ability accuracy is reduced by 15%. While this digimon is not flying, his close-range accuracy is boosted by 20%, but long-range accuracy is reduced by 15%. This ability only applies to Blackened Roar, Aeropunch, Dragon's Soul, and Bull Charge.

"Yeah yeah, we get it, we're at Ultimate level now," OmniShoutmon told Leith as he fanboyed over what was going on. "Just stay out of the way, all of you! We don't want you to get hurt!"
The Grademon would charge right at AeroVeedramon and jump right over them, landing right behind AeroVeedramon. "Cross Blade!" Grademon would then cross its blades as it slashed Aeroveedramon in the back at full power. "I'm a trained member of the Red Revolution. You can't expect to defeat me THAT easily."
Now it was OmniShoutmon's turn, as he would face against Dianamon. OmniShoutmon was the one to make the first move, dashing right after her and using his leg-blades to kick her. However, Dianamon was skilled in combat as well and used her own special weapon to deflect his attacks. "My my, I love the way you look when you're angry. Almost makes you CUTE!" As she would say that last word she'd slash OmniShoutmon's left shoulder, which got him good.
Meanwhile, the twins were facing off against Knightmon. It was a two on one battle, but so far Knightmon was crushing it, him being an Ultimate with the twins only being Champions...

"This is ultimate- I mean, yeah, but this is different! They're one!"
"You're damn right we're- Gyah!" Apparently, the ultimate level was still not a magic bullet, especially against such fearsome foes. AeroVeedramon stumbled as he was slashed in the back. However, what he couldn't see due to facing away was what was happening to Leith just then. His digivice was making that three-beep pattern again, something the young man knew was always significant and usually good. So he raised it to look at it only to find that in his right hand, the hand that didn't wear the digivice, three trading card objects appeared. Well... they were trading cards, really.
"Wha-" And at that same moment, a device that looked a lot like Adrian's appeared in his left hand: a D-Arc. Thank God Leith had seen this before; he thought he knew exactly what to do. "Holy sh- Di-digi modify!" Ever a habit of his when holding an object it was possible with, Leith flipped one card he recognized into the air, caught it, and deftly swiped it through the Arc. "Bota Bubble, activate!" To Adrian, he had to finally look a little confident as he explained, "Remember that little trick?"
That bubble was the reason AeroVeedramon stumbled but did not fall. Confused, having expected more pain, he quickly pivoted on his feet to slow his charge and turn around 180 degrees. That led him to discover the new power his Tamer had acquired. "Oh... I like where this is going." He then stood ready and braced himself, knowing he hadn't the time to launch another strike but could still be ready for his opponent's next one.

"It's called DNA Digivolution," White Wolf told Leith. "I have to thank Gabumon for explaining to me this one. It's when two Digimon evolve to become one. Not the same as DigiXros, though..."
"Rebecca, I don't think he knows what DigiXros even is," Adrian says. He was distracted when he saw that Grademon had got the better of AeroVeedramon. Suddenly, Adrian and White Wolf heard Leith's digivice start beeping as it turned into what else than a D-Arc.
"Wha- I bought mine in a store!" Adrian yells. "Freaking rip-off!" Thankfully Leith seemed to know how to use it and used the Bota Bubble card to have AeroVeedramon not completely fall onto its butt. Leith tried to brag about how cool he did that, but Adrian had a good comeback.
"Yes, I do. Now you can only do that two more times before its useless for a day."
Grademon growled and dashed towards the AeroVeedramon again. Things were going to be different this time! And as he ran, he suddenly yells: "SHADOW CLONE!" And just like that, there were now fifteen different Grademons all running at the Digimon, although they all seemed much slower now.
"Did he just Naruto himself?!" White Wolf screamed in response.
The other Digimon weren't paying attention as they had their own fights going on...

Leith started to ignore the banter; it was more important than ever for him to focus. Because I'm not a bystander anymore. I'm a part of the fight... gulp. Leith did have to chuckle about Adrian apparently buying his D-Arc, though. Heh... I guess being a Tamer is an equal opportunity program. I never bought a program this whole time; they were just there when I need them. Though I guess a few could have come earlier.
Then Grademon multiplied. "Oh, come on! Isn't that cheating?"
"Nah... now it's a fair fight!" AeroVeedramon arrogantly taunted. Patiently, AeroVeedramon waited with one of his giant fists clenched and pulled back. I can time this just right... a little closer, you bastards. AeroVeedramon was gambling on his own speed superiority as he let the Grademon horde close in. When they got as close as AeroVeedramon was willing to let them, he then aimed a punch at the closest enemy while growling, "Aeropunch!" Apparently this was a very powerful punch, as it created a wind so powerful that the breeze blew back Leith's hair a little even at his distance. To the other Grademon, this would be even stronger. Only the one he touched, if any, would take the full brunt of the damage, but any Grademon too close would still take half of it.
AeroVeedramon attacked the Grademon directly in front of him with Aeropunch. Aeropunch's accuracy was boosted by AeroVeedramon's Adaptability.
Aeropunch must cool down: 2 posts remaining.
Aeropunch: This digimon punches the target with enough force that it displaces the wind around his fist. Half this attack's damage may come from the impact of the fist, and the other half may come from the force of the displaced wind, which has about a 20-foot, 360-degree range to deal damage, adding up to 150% of normal Aeroveedramon damage. This attack may only be used while Aeroveedramon is not flying. Both forms of damage are considered Close Range for Adaptability. Cooldown: 2 posts.

Apparently, Grademon was smarter than AeroVeedramon initially thought. If he had experience in combat, of course he would know that Shadow Clone would reduce his speed. So carefully, he made sure that each clone was a good distance apart. So when AeroVeedramon's attack was launched, all but three of the clones were destroyed.
And none of which were the original.
The three remaining clones got up close and personal, each using precise sword slashes against AeroVeedramon at different points and at different times.
Back with OmniShoutmon and Dianamon, things were both getting heated and cooling down!
"Arrow of Artemis!" Dianamon called, shooting a giant ice arrow right at OmniShoutmon.
"Flame Cannon!" OmniShoutmon also called, a barrage of flame missiles shooting from his chest. The ice and the flame collided, creating a pretty cool-looking explosion.
Meanwhile, the fight between the twins and Knightmon was going a little bit better, but still not great. KendoGarurumon had launched a Lupine Laser right at the Knightmon, who immediately help up his sword at such an angle that the laser would reflect off of it and hit GeoGreymon directly.
"Guys, the twins aren't doing so well," White Wolf said with worry. "They need help, and quick!"

Leith heard the cry and so looked over to her twins' fight. Unfortunately, the young man had to agree with Rebecca's assessment. The problem was that Leith still had a partner who was still under attack from three digimon at once. He was in no position to send help at the moment. "Adrian, Omni, we can't help! You'll have to try if you can!" Leith didn't realize his screw-up until it was too late; trying to shorten OmniShoutmon's name for convenience had accidentally led him to use the digimon's old name. Nonetheless, he had bigger issues. "I'm with you, guys!" he then called to his own digimon before flipping and swiping a second card, "Digi-modify! Guardian Protocol!"
AeroVeedramon braced for the hits, managing to parry two with his tough claws, but not a third. "Gyah!" But as he cried in pain, he again felt less pain than expected. In fact, he suddenly felt a whole lot tougher. "Back... away..." After parrying the blows, the dragon digimon then flicked one claw against his horn. This was no taunt, though; the horn began to ring and resonate like a tuning fork. Though the sound wasn't very loud, it was just the right frequency to mess with a digimon's ears and head, causing them great pain if they were close enough. AeroVeedramon that that was very likely, given how close they had gotten for their attacks.
AeroVeedramon was hit by one of Grademon's attacks. Leith activated starter card Guardian Protocol, boosting AeroVeedramon's defense but reducing his speed. AeroVeedramon used Horn Tone.
Guardian Protocol is in effect: 2 posts remaining. Aeropunch must cool down: 1 post remaining. Horn Tone must cool down: 3 posts remaining
Horn Tone: This digimon flicks his own horn, which causes a sustained ring much like Sonoramon's orbs. The sound can only be heard from up to 10 feet away, but for the four posts it spends ringing, digimon who get close enough to hear it take mild sonic damage each post (approximately 20% normal Aeroveedramon damage per post). Cooldown: 3 posts.

OmniShoutmon was distracted for a split second when Leith called him by his old name: Omni. That split second gave Dianamon the perfect opportunity to pounce on top of OmniShoutmon and just start WAILING on him, completely damaging him multiple times.
"AHAHAHAHAHA! Soon you'll be in even CUTER little pieces!" she would taunt as she slashed into OmniShoutmon repeatedly with her weapon.
"OMNISHOUTMON! I gotta do something..." Adrian panics as he looks through his cards. Finally, he found one that he thought could work. "Here goes nothing..." Adrian then slashes the card.
"Digi-Modify! Vee Laser activate!"
Suddenly, OmniShoutmon's chest begins to glow with energy before an X-Shaped laser would shoot out, sending Dianamon into the air. As she screamed, OmniShoutmon would fly up and punch her in the stomach, slamming her into the ground, before using one final attack:
"Omni Core Fusion!" An aura of energy in the shape of OmniShoutmon would then shoot out, firing directly at Dianamon, an explosion being created as it made contact. When the dust cleared, Dianamon was knocked unconscious...
"That... did NOT work out how I expected that too," OmniShoutmon quipped before going off to help out the twins.
Back with AeroVeedramon, the sound that they emitted began to affect all three Grademons. Two of them fizzled out of existence, while the remaining one still held its head in pain. Yet it managed to get through it, eventually jumped into the air...
"GRADE SLASH!" Grademon would use all its remaining power to smite the AeroVeedramon from above.

"Was that- was that Vee Laser?" Leith asked, astonished at Adrian's move. "You're full of surprises, aren't you?" Maybe Leith was a little too composed given how little Grademon had been hit, but somehow he was managing to find faith in his partner(s?) anyway, and not just because he was taking those hits like a champ. Grademon's newest attack was another example. In fact, this time, the aerial attack was so predictable that AeroVeedramon managed to avoid it entirely with one powerful flap of the wings at the last possible second. Hopefully Grademon still got close enough to hear the tone, but at least the DNA digimon was safe even despite his speed deficit.
More importantly, though, he was airborne. AeroVeedramon thought he identified a way to really ruin Grademon's day. "So you wanna get close? Try me now!" he roared as he flew high over the ground. "Blackened Roar!" AeroVeedramon managed to incorporate his word 'roar' into the roar itself, the sound of which travelled in a conical shape focused on Grademon.
AeroVeedramon evaded Grade Slash. AeroVeedramon began flying. AeroVeedramon attacked Grademon with Blackened Roar. Blackened Roar's accuracy was boosted by Adaptability.
Guardian protocol is in effect: 1 post remaining. Aeropunch has finished cooling down. Horn tone must cool down: 2 posts remaining. Blackened Roar must cool down: 2 posts remaining.
Blackened Roar: This digimon fills the sky with a massive roar and channels the immense sound to travel mostly toward the single target of the attack and dealing sonic damage. The sheer volume of this roar increases its damage by 50% above normal Aeroveedramon damage. This attack may only be used while Aeroveedramon is flying. This is considered a long range ability for Adaptability. Cooldown: 2 posts

"To be honest, I just got lucky and found the right card in time," Adrian says, rubbing the back of his head. However, he would immediately turn his attention back onto the fight.
Just right then, Grademon had missed his airborne smite attack, and was now in range of that horrible, horrible sound of AeroVeedramon's tone. He grabbed his head in frustration and growled angrily, before being blown away by Blackened Roar. That attack would cause Grademon to be blown right into a tree. Growling, he stood back up and dashed towards AeroVeedramon. "I'VE... HAD... ENOUGH!!!" The ultimate level would then dash right up to AeroVeedramon in an attempt to slice that horn right off his face.
Back with Knightmon, the twins were nearly defeated; this Ultimate just had an amazing defense. Knightmon lifted his sword up, and slashed it down onto KendoGarurumon with all his might. Kendo tightened his eyes and looked away, waiting for the collision... but it never happened. He looked up to see OmniShoutmon holding the sword in place.
"They had their fun; now it's my turn," OmniShoutmon quipped as he threw the sword upwards, causing Knightmon to flip up into the air.

I'll be there soon, guys, Leith promised inside his own head. I don't know if OmniShoutmon can take two ultimates one after another, but I hope he won't have to find out.
AeroVeedramon had no trouble evading Grademon this time. The air was his element while clearly not Grademon's, so all AeroVeedramon had to do to get out of attack range was ascend. Too bad that in the process he tried to keep his distance, reducing the effectiveness of that resonating horn, but not getting hit seemed more important. The wing beats he used to get higher were so powerful that a couple of burnt trees got uprooted and knocked over entirely. "You haven't had anything yet. Again, AeroVeedramon opened his mouth wide to unleash an attack from his mouth, but this was no sonic roar, a trait no doubt contributed by Sonoramon. This was a beam blasting pure energy, no doubt part of what ExVeemon was bringing to the form. "Dragon Soul!"
Well, perhaps the name partly came from Sonoramon.
AeroVeedramon evaded Grademon's attack. AeroVeedramon attacked Grademon with Dragon's Soul. Dragon's soul's accuracy was boosted by Adaptability.
Guardian Protocol's effect has ended. Horn Tone must cool down: 1 post remaining. Blackened Roar must cool down: 1 post remaining.
Dragon Soul: This digimon summons all its will to win and channels it into a beam of pure energy that fires from his mouth. This is considered a long range ability for Adaptability.

Grademon was now getting desperate. This... anomaly was beating him in close combat! Grademon is the master of the Red Revolution's platoon; he COULDN'T lose to this freak of Digi-Nature! Suddenly, AeroVeedramon unleashed an ultimate attack: a pure beam of energy.
"So... you want to play THIS way, huh?" Grademon growled in frustration. "Fine... we'll play THIS way..." If Grademon was going down, he was taking SOMEONE with him. So just as the blast would collide, Grademon threw his sword right at the humans... Leith, specifically.
Right towards his head.
Time seemed to move in slow motion as the blade flew across the air. The other humans would turn their heads towards the sword as it flew right at them. No one knew how to react; it was all happening so fast. OmniShoutmon and the twins were busy with Knightmon...
How would this end?
