Whitewater.
The last time that she had been here, she had done some pretty terrible stuff. She had been under the control of an individual that seemed to care very little for the people of the city if he was willing to let the controlled version of her do as she pleased. Walking quickly by the spot that her husband's clinic used to lay she'd head over to what amounted to the contract guild of this city.
It was there that she was hoping to put out the pamphlets and posters that would inevitably draw out those that wished to do good in the world. Wished to fight back against the looming threats that she had found several of. As well as threats they didn't know about yet.
She had made only a good handful of them, so it didn't take very long for her to get these pamphlets in place and one or two posters up here or there. It took so little time in fact she wondered quietly to herself that if she should of bothered with them. After all effort of recruitment would directly reflect the sorts that you would get right?
Sighing to herself the Shutmon trodded through the streets to the beach in a somewhat moody thought train. Taking a seat on one of the many benches lining the difference between road and sand. It was a calm and somewhat cheerful day; people were acting pretty normal and the weather looked just about as well as you could expect.
Doing all of this, doing this for the people and of the people would make the world safer. She had to put herself forward the best she could. Frowning slightly she'd gaze up at the sky curious to know what exactly the future had in store for her. She never was one to think about it too much until she started putting stock into it. When she was working in the inn, she never really thought past the season... but here she was thinking much further than that.

K would soon find that posting such a public pamphlet didn't always draw those that wanted to join her guild - and, in fact, that her travels were a bit more notorious than she had first thought.
And, more than anything else, it left a trail.
It let Luminas know that K was in Whitewater.
As the Shutmon reclined on a bench to take a moment to herself, she was already being trailed, by an onlooker from above: an Angemon. The angel held one of the Knight of the Rose's pamphlets, folded over once in his right hand, as he peered down over the Ultimate level wolf, taking cover amidst the rooftops as needed. But as she pulled herself enough away from the city, away from the crowd, and finally settled down? The Angemon would do his job.
Tch... for her to just trot around like this...
Popping up out of nowhere would have presented more problems, than anything else. Instead, the Angemon touched down about a block or two into the city, and walked out onto the beach like anyone else, the only 'out of place' item about him being Luminas' mark, branded over his right shoulder. With a confident-enough stature, he would step onto the sand, and move briskly for the 'holy' Shutmon.
"K, I presume?" His voice was calm, but authoritative - and upon her answer, he'd draw a piece of parchment, holding it out for the wolf - again, Luminas' official seal gracing the binding around the document. "Honestly, I thought you'd be a harder one to find than this."

The shutmon didn't know that her travels were considered notorious in any regard. She in fact figured that most of what she had done would be able to be addressed in a somewhat calm and collected fashion. After all trying to figure out best how to write that apology letter still was on her mind. It was hard to really even get it forward but she had the ultimate option of writing everything down and sending it out... as part of the apology.
She was unaware of the trail she left.
She was unaware that Luminas was even searching for her.
The shutmon clasped her hands together and stared forward out to the ocean that she could see people enjoying their time in or around. She was also blissfully unaware of the individual that had followed her. She hadn't even thought to check behind her or the like. She had figured that if someone had been following her it'd be local law enforcement as... her last visit here was pretty dramatic.
So imagine her surprise when she heard somewhat address her. Her eyes flicking and her head turning slowly to look at the individual that addressed her. She took a few moments to look them over; eyes eventually settling on the luminas mark. There was a wistful sigh and she'd shake her head.
"You'd be correct. Can I..."
K found herself frowning slowly and would extend her hand in the hope that the angemon would pass her the parchment. She wasn't a bird type digimon so reading from afar would be problematic. Her eyes flicked to the angemon when he spoke a second time.
"I don't hide. Never had a reason to. I presume this is because of what happened within the last few weeks."
The shutmon was only making pleasantries because she knew there was nothing to be gained from fighting here. Nothing to be gained from her causing a ruckus. She didn't want to hurt the people around the digital world; she wanted to protect them. Something that the wisemon that had basically forced her to work for him directly threatened. Something until that mark had fell from her body she had directly threatened as well...

Of course, K would be able to take, and read, the parchment with no issue. To her comment, the Angemon would give a nod. "Unfortunately, such valiance isn't likely to help your case here."
Indeed: as K would break the seal, she would be greeted with a less-than-cordial letter:
To the Renamon or Shutmon known as K,
This is a formal decree for your arrest, by the order of Luminas:
For the suspected destruction of confidential material For not reporting for agreed service This decree is to take effect immediately. Upon knowledge of this document, you are to either be apprehended or complete service as requested. Failure to abide by this will result in your detainment.
For the honor of the Digital World, Luna, Crusadermon
With the later read, the Angemon gave a nod towards the wolf. "Ordinarily, Luminas matters do not extend to that on the surface - but in matters of theft, our decrees remain in full effect. That said, I will say that this order is an... interesting one."

"Didn't say it for my benefit."
The shutmon quipped before gently breaking the seal taking a few long moments to read over the letter. Her eyes flicking from line to line. Suspected destruction of confidential material, for not reporting for agreed service. She'd calmly keep reading and note that she had the option of being apprehended or complete service as requested. Her eyes rested on the last two lines, a name and a 'honor' of sorts. Tutting to herself she'd fold the letter in half before offering it back to the angemon.
"I suppose so."
The wolf stared at the angemon for a few moments and rubbed her snout thoughtfully. Drumming one such hand on the bench that she sat on. She had the option of refusing but that meant they'd just likely come after her or this messenger would take it in his own hands. So she'd speak softly and plainly.
"I signed for service that much is true; though I was unaware that the service itself had started in any effect. As for the destruction of such, if it's a particular file in respect to what happened up north? Yes. I did destroy it. However it was not of my own decisions to do so."
She'd stare at the angemon for a few moments and toy with a question before asking it just as plainly as she stated that she was 'guilty' for at least one of these 'crimes'.
"So the jist of it is, I come back with you with this letter and talk to someone. If I don't you are probably going to try to force me to tag along. I don't have the desire to fight here; or elsewhere for that matter."
The shutmon slowly stood and dusted herself off staring quietly at the angemon once more. Her hands were relaxed and the blades on her arms remained in their 'sheathed' position.
"So. Where do we go from here?"

"Oh, you misunderstand. Your service has already been decided."
It was helpful that the Shutmon had been so willing to go along with this, but there was no need for her to follow along. In fact, it was quite evident from her actions - in trying to create the Knights of the Rose - that she was already on the way to executing their intended 'service'. "As I see you now, it seems that you have been somehow freed from the Wisemon's binds. The manner of which this happened is unimportant - if you were still marked, you would already be coming with us, in chains." Making that much clear, the Angemon continued:
"That very Wisemon has been a thorn in our side for quite some time - and as capable as you seem, it seems to be a task you could handle. So: either on your own or through your 'Knights', you must either apprehend the Wisemon or rend him to nothing but scrap data. In either case, upon your success, all of your crimes against Luminas to this point will be forgiven."
All of them? "Whether or not we have knowledge of them - as the Wisemon might have made you perform other tasks. To this, so long as you work for this goal, Luminas will work the other way. Eschew it, however, and you will serve time for your crimes."
Leaving that tone in the air, he gave a nod towards the Shutmon. "No complaints, I presume?"

The shutmon blinked a few times and found herself frowning after a few long moments. Her service was already decided? She couldn't help but raise a brow slowly at this comment after all she there had been no communication between her and luminas.
"I see."
She didn't know much about how luminas operated; how they carried out their intended desires or how they worked with service contracts like the one she signed. She had originally been pulled in to help with the next incident. The shutmon found herself sighing softly as they mentioned that she was free of the wisemon binds.
"So they knew about that and still let me waltz around? Or was that a more recent knowledge that they acquired. I have very little doubt in my mind that had I ended up fighting against a luminas group it probably would of gone much better than at the library."
The shutmon found the frown deepening as the angemon continued to speak about the wisemon. Her eyes hardened dangerously and one of her blades twitched slightly. Then he spoke of her knights and what they wanted to do to the wisemon.
"My intent was to have the group as a whole deal with him in one fashion or another. He's too dangerous to let roam free."
The shutmon gestured to the letter that she had intended to hand back to the angemon. There was still a considerable frown on her face but she still was 'friendly'. Though he quickly added that whether or not they had knowledge of the crimes they still would be forgiven. She had a few moments of silence and the shutmon exhaled slowly.
"I have no plans to leave this task undone. I want that wisemon out of the way for the safety of the digital world. If it'll help in relations to luminas for the Knights as well as serving my own purposes I have no complaints in regard to that. However it sounds like there's more you want to add."
K ran a hand through her mane of fur stopping short of her cloak. It made it quite easy to see that her jesmon symbol was still there but she doubted personally that her being related to that particular jesmon in a fashion would do anything for her.
"Is wisemon the only threat that Luminas has on mind for the time? What of the Towers? The elemental orbs...?"
The shutmon glanced around making sure that none were in earshot. If that was the case she would speak further.
"What of the D-reapers? They still intend for me to perform service in regard to that correct?"

"The information was not known when you first stepped foot into Luminas - but upon further investigation." The Angemon was quick to clarify their point, his tone not-at-all pleased about the idea of Luminas being found incompetent.
Of course, K spoke of the fact that she'd be seeking the Wisemon anyway - to put him 'out of the way', and that she would have no complaints. But she was also correct: he had more to say. Much more. "Naturally. But its simple enough for you to say that - and once your group is established, maybe your base will be far too impenetrable for us to reasonably carry out any action against you. And yes, Luminas has other objectives - but those are not part of the concern for our contract."
Leaving that in the air for a second, he'd make his next point perfectly clear.
"This is also per my orders from Luminas. As part of the service - and as part of this contract - you will make me a member of your Knights. Further, this conversation and your relation with me will be kept an upmost secret."
His tone was direct and to the point - clear that he was not going to accept any alternative.
"Are we clear?"

"Well it's a good thing that you all learned of it, in the case that I wasn't unmarked by a group of friends you all would of been able to do it probably without as much of a fuss."
The shutmon wasn't so much pointing at the fact that luminas was incompetent. It would of largely been difficult to know as she was something they couldn't expect when she initially arrived as she had appeared out of no where. She wasn't surprised when he had more to say; however her expression shifted to a rather bemused one.
So they feared the chance of being unable to do anything against their group? She found herself chuckling and simply shaking her head which was quickly followed by her crossing her arms.
She wasn't surprised when he said that he would be required to be a member of her knights. Even furthermore that she would keep the conversation between them a secret along with the relationship that they would have as a secret.
"So not only is Luminas worried about another group that hasn't even managed to come into infancy. They're sending someone to keep an eye on them as they grow; a spy of sorts?"
The shutmon eyed the angemon up and down; feeling somewhat amused by this turn of events. With a small shrug she'd raise either hand up in the air looking somewhat uncertain how to take all of this.
"More things that I wasn't expecting, but nothing that I can't handle in this regard."
K took a few moments as the angemon seemed to think that he was the one in control here. Giving him a small somewhat pleasant smile which was followed by her offering a hand for a small shake. She wasn't expecting him to take it.
"A knight you'll be; this conversation never happened but lets make one thing abundantly clear."
The shutmon's eyes were cold, her smile held no warmth and there was an air of danger around her that would outstrip her normal stature.
"We're here to protect the digital world, we're here to remove large tier threats and such. Luminas isn't a threat. It's a culture. Same with terminus, rustport, whitewater, and soon to be rosewood. In scope of things well... Luminas? We'll protect them too. So you better be ready to fight for some places or people you don't like or understand; because if this conversation never happened and our relationship is such... I won't be treating you any differently than any of the others."

K's response earned a bit of a glare from the Angemon - something that was largely hidden beneath the visor, but his stern expression could still be felt from underneath. The way she put it was rather crude - Luminas was worried about an upstart team?
"No, they aren't worried about a team - they're worried about you." The Angemon was quick to correct. "Even if you did not found the team, my job as an observer would be largely the same. Consider this just a convenient way to keep track of you."
Besides that? It didn't take long for K to extend her offer - and, as expected, that hand would remain unshaken for as long as it was outstretched. But, at the very least, she understood her position - and, in her cool response, explained just what the team would be.
To that, the Angemon gave a nod. "Fighting in such a manner is not against our stature in Luminas. Your concerns are appreciated, but unfounded. I will be keeping in touch until the tower is created. Is there any other question you have?"

The shutmon blinked a few times as he stated something that caught her completely off guard. So much so that her demeanor and guard dropped stupendously before she'd shake her head a few times to correct herself. That was something that she hadn't expected to hear. She'd slowly raise a brow and stare at the Angemon.
"Dare I ask why they're worried about me? I suppose it is convenient as I'll be putting a lot of effort into this."
The shutmon wasn't expecting a hand shake; after a few seconds of having it out she looked somewhat unsurprised and retracted that shake. Why did everyone from luminas have to act so high and bloody mighty regardless of what they were. She felt a gentle tingle from silence; an uneasy desire to just have this be over with but...
"My concerns are justified."
K turned her head to look at the ocean and sighed softly. Shaking her head slowly before gazing back at the angemon.
"Give or take. Two weeks at most for Vander tower. You'll have an easy time keeping in contact with me if you've got a Tamernet account; or if you'd rather like face time it'd be better to tell me where or when to be. As for questions..."
The shutmon drummed her fingers against her forearm and exhaled slowly.
"Does luminas have records of roughly three hundred years ago? There should of been a war around then. Don't know against who but I remember being a medic for a couple days when they 'enlisted' me from my inn. Because if so, I think I might have a potential lead laying in there somewhere. Oh. And I suppose a good question would be... What's your name?"

Was it that strange that the Angemon - nay, Luminas' governing committee - would be worried about K? She seemed to show somewhat of a surprised answer, but the Angemon merely shook his head: "Your base capabilities have been shown throughout much of the past year. Several different forms, the incarnation of at least two Knightly forms? Such powerful Digimon tend to be tracked by Luminas to try and determine their intents... and we haven't been able to clear you all-so-easily."
Perhaps that would shed some light on her situation? He merely maintained his stern stature as K declared her ideals justified. Thankfully, she didn't appear to stir the hornet's nest too much, and the rest of the talk simply moved on the administrative side. A small piece of paper was offered with his Tamernet account information, simply giving a nod for that request.
As for the questions? The Angemon raised his head a bit at that request. "Oh? Certainly, our records for the Swamp War are greatly detailed. And we are aware of Wisemon's involvement in that much, but we have thoroughly pored through those records several times. That you are an ancient Digimon is of no surprise, all things considering."
As to his name? "Oathgard. The Seraphimon." The tone was said with confidence, even giving a half-bow to his declaration. "And as far as anyone is concerned, it will be a pleasure to serve you as the Blinding Knight."

K honestly didn't know what to think; luminas had always seemingly been a negative influence in her life in one way or another. Wresting her friend and herself away from her home; being somewhat dismissive and treating her or her customers poorly... as well as at one point attempting to tithe her inn! Though that went just as well as you could expect.
"Well it's been really the only time to show any sort of capabilities as before that I was simply just an Innkeeper. Several? So you're aware of the..."
The shutmon paused when they spoke of just two knightly forms. She looked somewhat nervous about that; as she technically had a third form that derived from one of the royal knights very bosom. Finding very little reason to hide this considering they'd just learn of it later anyways she'd deign to speak up.
"Three. Though the third one comes from within the form of Jesmon I keep. It's not a surprise that you all wouldn't keep track of individuals of well. A certain power scope. As just one could cause untold devastation if they lacked the control some possess."
There was a fight in the north that reminded her of just how powerful two super megas could be especially when pitted against one another. She'd gingerly accept the piece of paper; slowly pulling out a small pad to punch the information into. After a moment or two the pad would beep with a 'message sent' over tamernet to confirm the recipient.
"It's not the only war I'm aware of, in total there were seven I recall with some kind of accuracy. As for that war? I participated in it briefly, only for a few days before wisemon vanished. If you could get me a copy of the records I would appreciate it as it will help learn some habits of a very dangerous foe."
The shutmon's ear twitched at the idea of her being ancient. She'd look down at her hands looking somewhat uncertain as to make of that. Shaking her head slowly she'd go over the list of things in her head and frown.
"By all accounts I suppose being about a thousand or more years old would make me such a digimon."
Once again her ears flicked and swiveled forward; looking a touch surprised at the introduction which even came with a small half bow. She'd once again enter in something in her pad; giving a careful bow of her own.
"A name I haven't heard before, and you keep such a powerful form? I've only ever seen a Seraphimon twice; both times they were certainly... breathtaking I suppose is the word. It'll be good to have you even if it's not exactly the way I would hope someone would join."
A small beep on her pad would update the current roster of the Knights, only four names sat there. Two that she had sought out, herself and... Well now Oathgard.
"I should ask, of the prior service in offering assistance. Does that still stand? Or does this one fully over-write that? Because if that service does not apply I would still like to extend my assistance for such a venture."

There was a third? The Angemon seemed a bit taken back by the admission - but overall, it made sense enough. "Hm. Well, our eyes aren't perfect in that regard..."
Of course she'd understand that much, that came without any surprise. With the Tamernet details shared, a small vibration felt at his waist confirming the message, he'd give a small nod. "If it would help, we would be willing to show you a copy of such records - though, understand the circumstances here, that your access might be somewhat limited. You haven't exactly proven the kindest with our records before." That last part seemed laced just a bit with venom...
... Though at the thought that K was only a thousand years old earned a small chuckle from the angel. "If you'd say so."
It didn't come as a surprise that his title was not well-known: "Its generally not the concern of the surface to know of our titles. Whitewater and Terminus, in particular, tend to not recognize our own stature. But, yes - so long as you remain on-task with both this job and the Knight of the Rose's mission, I will be able to provide assistance to your cause."
As for that last part? "Its not that it overwrites it, but the mission to apprehend the Wisemon is of upmost importance. You can consider the tasks one and the same. Now," he tensed his wings, "I will be off - though you might still feel my presence around, at times, I'll properly see you in two weeks, at Vander Tower."

With the way that the angel took her admission K wasn't honestly sure just how much they actually knew of her. They at first seemed to know a lot but in scope? They probably knew more than the average person but... She'd shrug slightly at him speaking pretty plainly about it. What else was she supposed to do for them? Give them a collective list of everything?
Then he spoke about how she would have some sort of restricted access to the records. Something that brought a small but understanding nod; even with how the last bit was laced with venom. There was no real point for her to explain things out if they already knew about the mark and what was on the line. Many mons would of done the same in her position.
"I figured that'd be the case."
The shutmon blinked at his chuckle and simply tilted her head; getting a quizzical look after a few moments. What did he mean by that? She would of dived into it but... She'd shake her head dismissing it for a moment as the Angel went into his title and such.
"You'd be the first that I'd even of heard of outside of some place around the different cities. It shouldn't be hard to remain on task considering it's one of the top priorities considering a few plausible connections. It'll be good to have some assistance even if it's limited."
His explanation of the services made sense to her; things that she could for the most part expect for them to call on her had they needed her. She'd dip her head in a small nod and simply take a seat on bench again.
"Coordinates for where the tower will be in two weeks are attached. The construction site is kept under wraps for a reason. Take care then Oathard."
The shutmon would give the angel a small wave and dip of the head before turning her attention forward towards the ocean again. Their business for the most part was concluded here... right?
