A Tale of a Bean and a Nerd [Anzu] [Career]

The Meramon's data was a strange thing. A strange taste. It delivered not that much sustenance, but she felt like it would come in handy later. Someday, perhaps. She turned her attention to the remaining defenders, and found that she had inadvertently routed a few of them. Okay. This was good.
This meant that her next move wouldn't be very...courteous. Then again. These mongrels, these wretches, these....scrubnuggets...they hurt her boys.
Such was unforgivable. Turning to the gem-based rodent, Anzu leapt up in the air and did a somersault, the opener for her Sticker Blade attack. See those blades you usually find at the front of a Sangloupmon? She hurled them at the rodent.
She hurled to kill.

Double teaming in the same digimon? That was very mean on the attackers' side, and that resulted in the gem-based rabbit to face a rather quick demise, and also on yet another heavily convenient event. A loud blaring sound would notify both Anzu and Heraldmon that the device was about to do its trick and because the two digimon were relatively next to each other, it meant that they could get the hell out of this place in relative safety.
The ensuing portal would open right below the pair, sucking them out of the scene, but not bringing them back at to the safety of Deeplane's main construction site, the pair were just a couple hundred meters away from the bomb's blast radius. Amelie was confident on Anzu's intellect to interpret the situation. While the settlement would be blown to pieces mere seconds from now, they still had one final task to accomplish before they could come back home.
To make sure that no stragglers escaped, including a certain BlackGatomon.

By all that was both holy and unholy, that felt satisfying to execute, truthfully. However, the loud noise was a little disorienting for Anzu, but it was also a good signal that it was time to take their leave from this doomed hovel of a 'city' that these defenders had been protecting. It was almost tragic...She was enjoying this fight. It reminded her why she enjoyed battle.
As such, there was no resistance in being portaled out and into the safety of Deeplane's construction site. The Sangloupmon let out a growl as she kept a vigilant watch for any stragglers, ready to hurl a flurry of Sticker Blades at any who dared to escape the fate that awaited them.
Come. Face the light.

Surprisingly enough, the stragglers weren't as many as Amelie had initially expected them to be; few and far between digimon had abandoned the settlement through that escape route, something that made Amelie ponder if there was a hidden way to leave or if something else was up.
But... that was something they'd have to take care of later, if ever; now that there were no more digimons rushing through the settlement's exit, the brunette abandoned her evolved form, regaining her senses and looking at the place they've just raided moments before the massive blast that ensued leveled it completely and utterly, almost if that place had been completely erased from the map.
Well, it wasn't like the Dark Area had a map, but the intent's what mattered! After looking at their handiwork, the teenager smiling at Anzu. "Well, that definitely looks like a crushing victory on our side. Good job, Anzu; you've proven to be a very dependable individual, and shall be rewarded accordingly. Thank you for lending me your power today. Shall we head back now? We have no further business to attend at this place."
Dainty steps ensued in Deeplane's direction; sure, Amy could open a portal and get there right away, but this was just her way to savor their collective victory. It felt great.

Mess with my boys, get your city destroyed.
That was the single solitary thought that raced through Anzu's head as she watched the 'city' be thoroughly erased from whatever map anyone could draw of this place. The Sangloupmon nodded, dedigivolving to the form everyone had likely been far more familiar with, Tsukaimon. She gave Amelie a kind and rather earnest smile. Something that was a far cry from the usual smirks that the bean gave.
"Of course. I seem to not have lost any zeal that I may have had in previous lives. Plus...you contributed as much as I did, Amelie. This was the fruit of both of our labors. On the subject of heading back...Sure. Looking at this place kind of sickens me either way. Like, it's almost depressing to look at."
Plus, that Meramon didn't even taste that good.

That was it, more or less! Deeplane had one less enemy now! Once there, the work crews would finally be able to return to their jobs, hopefully, this time without being concerned about potential attacks. "I guess tea's waiting? Do you think Akemi's still studying? If not, she's probably gonna miss the best tea party ever." In all honesty? Any tea party that involved Amy was the best tea party ever, but that was a secret.
Link D Settlement: A Famous Group of Outlaws, Brought Down Reportedly, the settlement was inhabited by some of the most famous bandits in the whole continent; some even wanted by Luminas itself.By Amelie Saboro. With the collaboration of Anzu, the Tsukaimon. For anybody not aware of how the Dark Area works, the lay of the land is constantly mercurial, various gangs vying for the control of dominance of most of the areas that are there for taking. the One of these inhabited the Dark Area's underground, in a place called the 'Link D Settlement'. In a somewhat and self-explanatory way, the denizens of this place engaged in pillaging, sabotage, ambushes, and other, similarly heinous acts not only against the law-abiding citizens of the Dark Area, but also around the whole Digital World, even going as far as to be wanted by some of Luminas' officers. That ended today. Mysteriously, the whole settlement suffered a malfunction of sorts and an explosion occurred, presumably killing most of the place's inhabitants. Was this something fair and just? It's really hard to say, but at least we can say that a lot more digimon are resting easy at night today. For better or worse. Multiple photos of the ruins of said settlement populate this article, along with evidence that proved some of their most heinous crimes.

That was a very eventful way to spend some time with your boss, all things considered. "Indeed. Tea is waiting, and regardless of if she's still studying or not, she could maybe use a little break. Plus...she could stand to get out a little more, obviously." Anzu nodded. She didn't quite want her tamer to miss a good tea party, regardless of her feelings towards her at the moment. So, naturally, she'd play the part of a good partner and lend her aid wherever she could.
In fact, she realized she should be helping her improve as a person, too. Maybe. Starting with this tea party. "Come, let's head out. For tea."
