Seeing Sam cry also made Desmond cry. "Oh thank god, you're alive." He said as she grabbed onto his shirt. He hugged her and tried to stop crying. Which was quite hard. He let go of her as she went to look at her partner. He would wait for a second before going to meet the three of them with tears falling from his face. Just looking at Hawk made him feel so powerless. There weren't much he could have done to help but still, it was hard to see him like that. The DemiMeramon would wait for Sam to pick her partner and then look at his own tamer. "Desmond?" He softly said clearly tired as well. Desmond crouched down to pet his partner and smile. "You did good." He would say while wiping tears from his face. "You did really good." The fireball inched closer to hug the blond tamer and sniffles.
Desmond then took a close look at the girl. She looked so hurt and he had nothing to help her. He would slowly walk to her and try to smile. "Yes, we can go home now." He softly said. He then looked at her legs, he wasn't even sure if she could walk back to where they were. Heck, he wasn't sure where they came from. They were following the dot on his Digivice and now that they were all in the same spot, that wasn't going to help them. He sighed heavily and look around. Well, at least now they had DemiMeramon as a source of light. Desmond would look around them and point at the direction he thought they came from.
"Do... You need me to carry you?" He shyly asked Sam with hesitation. Maybe he didn't want that seeing that he did kind of throw her before, but they weren't in the same situation as before. She seemed so weak on her legs so he had to ask. He wouldn't feel good letting her walk like that. "DemiMeramon?" Desmond looked at his partner. "Can you walk in front of us?" He asked softly while adjusting his glasses. It was then that he noticed a small crack on the right lens. He would have to get a new one when they get back home. Because he was now sure that he, they were going home for a bit.
The fireball nodded and began floating toward where Desmond pointed. The blond tamer would wait for Sam to decide if she would like to be carried or try to walk. He would inch closer to be ready to carry her though. He too was a bit sore but he knew that he was in a better shape than she was right now. "We will get you home, don't worry." He wasn't sure where she was from but it didn't matter, he just wanted her to be somewhere safe. Far from this dang terminus for sure. "I guess we will go back to the trains and you can go home. Where you will be safe." He wanted to say we but he wasn't sure if she even wanted him around after all that. And he was certainly not sure if she would ever want to go back to the digital world. It was a very hard first day for her.
"Do you have a place to stay?" He would then ask. "Because if not, you can stay with me for a while..."
