Chenjin would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous as he was riding on the Trailmon to the Human World. He had just bought his Holosuit (which he hadn't put on yet) and got his stuff ready to attend a human school.
However, he was feeling a bit homesick. He remembers how sad he was leaving Mama and Papa behind, even though he loved the both of them very much so. But his curiosity of the humans and their world was too great to ignore.
Sir Chenjin knew he made the right choice.
Still, it was a bit awkward being the smallest Digimon on this train right now. Normally he'd be incredibly social, but all the other Digimon were kind of scary. He just avoided eye contact and stared at the floor.
Hopefully this train stops in the Human World sometime soon...

WHO'S THE BOSS?
I AM.
( tag: none ) Going to the human world was always a sort of rare treat for Boss. While he never really had a need to mingle with whom he deemed idiots for coming the other way to his world, he couldn’t deny that there were certain…benefits that he came to enjoy during one of his visits. Namely being the Shibuya night life, the food and much more he couldn’t exactly go into detail about without making the train ride become very uncomfortable for him. Regardless, the Ryudamon was very excited to gather up some booze and head on back home to partake in some of it while going around for the nightlife. The train itself wasn’t terribly packed with Digimon going over there, some of them with partners, some of them by themselves with holosuits on.
And then there was one that caught Boss’s attention almost instantly. The little robotic Digimon with a red metallic cap sat by himself, bright yellow eyes darting about out of a feeling all too familiar; uncertainty and fear. The little fella soon had their head to the ground, making Boss roll his eyes. What the hell was someone like them doing on a train then if they weren’t sure about going? Normally, Boss would ignore someone like that if they were around his age, but he got a sense that the ‘mon couldn’t have been that old with the way they carried themselves. That made his next move even more different. The Ryudamon plodded over and sat himself right next to the little guy, adjusting his samurai hat to eye right down at them.
“So, what’s bringing ya to the human world, kid?” Boss asked unceremoniously. “You don’t seem terribly confident, so what gives?” It was incredibly blunt, almost to the point of being rude. But Boss didn’t like to mince words. Plus the nervous vibe he gave out was enough that it was obvious even across the entire train car when they had their head down to avoid looking at any of the other Digimon here.

Sir Chenjin was lost in his own thoughts when he suddenly heard someone speak. He looked up from the ground and looked around for who it was that was talking. Eventually, he did find who was talking to him: it was a Digimon he had never seen before. His first instinct was to use Deep Search immediately... and that's what he did.
Ooh, apparently it's a Ryudamon... neato! I've never seen a Digimon like this one before!
After using Deep Search, Chenjin would then answer the Ryudamon's question. "I'm moving to the Human World, actually. I've always been fascinated by the humans and their world, so I've decided to attend one of their schools. In a holosuit, of course."
The tiny Gatchmon then got up from his seat and went to sit by the Ryudamon as if he was a good friend, and didn't meet literally five seconds ago. "My name's Sir Chenjin, by the way! What's your name?"

( tag: none ) Huh, the kid was less nervous than he thought, Boss surmised. The kid literally scooched up to him after he sat down like he was his best friend. He really hoped he wouldn’t regret this later if he started latching onto him during his trip. Regardless, the old samurai dragon listened to him -Chenjin- and his whole situation. The whole thing sounded…ludicrous. The idea of going to a place of learning by humans and for humans sounded real stupid. He’d never gone to those places since Boss always went out during the night time, but if hanging around baby Digimon and the humans here so far, going to a place chock full of them sounded like a nightmare.
“All….right,” Boss coughed to hide his incredulous tone at the notion. “And call me Boss. Not gonna lie, that idea sounds like a tall order. You actually up for it?” he asked. “You seem kinda….to be frank about it, incredibly young and too trusting. Not all humans are gonna be nice, let alone if you slip up and they find out you're not human.” The samurai dragon advised.

"Of course, I'm up for it!" Chenjin cheered, laughing at the ludicrous question. "Why would I be here if I weren't? My mama and papa always told me to go with my instincts, and my instincts are to learn more about the fascinating human world!"
Then this 'Boss' fellow began to sound more and more like a downer as the conversation went on. "Wow, what a pessimist," Chenjin groaned. "If you treat people nice, then they're sure to treat you nice back. It's how life always worked for me. Besides, I've been studying on the customs of the human world. I think I'll know how to blend in!"
Then Chenjin slowly grew to realize what kind of Digimon this guy was. "You remind me of everyone else in Whitewater, you know. And I'll show all of you that I can make it in the human world. And after that, maybe our worlds can finally live freely... but enough about me, why are you going to the human world, mister?"

WHO'S THE BOSS?

( tag: none ) That…was kind of sweet. Idiotic, but sweet. Boss rolled his eyes and couldn’t help a grin make its way on his muzzle. Kid being encouraged by his parents to go out into the world was a nice endeavor, but it wasn’t one that Boss was necessarily cool with if he ever became a father unless said kid was smart enough to survive on his own like he was. He let the reason stick and shrugged his shoulders. However, the kid didn’t seem terribly content with letting the conversation end there and continued.
He called him a pessimist for thinking humans were going to be mean to him when he was nothing but nice. A real lofty goal to have both worlds live in harmony, but he wouldn’t call it achievable, at least in his lifetimes. Either way, it seemed like he wasn’t gonna bring the kid down -not his intention- so he decided to humor him. “Eh, call me objective. I think you got a good mindset, just saying you should be careful. Being overly nice shouldn’t breed ignorance of ya. As for why I’m going, I have plans that I can only sum up to you, youngin, as having some fun and taking some stuff back with me since I’m fresh out since it’s been a while.”

Chenjin listened to what Boss had to say. So it turns out he wasn't a pessimist; he was just trying to warn Chenjijn on the so-called 'dangers' in the Human World, saying he shouldn't be ignorant. "I feel like I'm the kind of Digimon that can brighten anyone's day up, you know? Who would be mean to that? A real boomy-hole, that's who."
Taking some stuff back? Chenjin had a hunch of what Boss was talking about, as he had read up on it while studying humans. "By 'stuff', are you talking about alcohol or narcotics? Because both are dangerous to use, narcotics more-so." It probably would've surprised Boss that Chenjin knew words like this.
After that, Chenjin began to feel a little bit hungry. He decided to look into the Infini-Store he had bought back home. And as it turns out, in his hurry to catch the train...
He had forgotten to bring food.
Chuckling nervously, he looked back at Boss. "Er... do you have any food on you?"

WHO'S THE BOSS?

( tag: none ) Boss didn’t let it show, but he was sort of surprised that the kid had an idea of what he was talking about. He simply rolled his eyes and nodded. “Half right, got more planned than that. Plus it takes a lot more than human stuff to do me in, so thanks for worrying.” He chuckled. “But yeah, I’ve seen less than nice humans while I’m there, which is why I’m only saying this to ya. Don’t be stupid.” He waggled a claw. The ryudamon slunk back on the train chair for a few moments, intending to nod off while he waited for the train to arrive at the station.
Before he could even get a few winks in, Chenjin interjected again, this time with a question of food. Boss tipped his hat a bit and stared at the kid with his jade green eyes and glared for a moment. He really didn’t like sharing his food, but he figured the kid must have forgotten to grab anything worth eating before going on this trip all gung-ho, else he wouldn’t have asked. With a dejected sigh, he took off his hat, revealing a sack of food he’d gotten from Terminus before he’d left on the train. He wordlessly passed over a few apples for him to nosh on before tying the bag back up and putting it where it belonged.
“What did I say about bein’ stupid?” he chided.

"Yeah, it does make sense that human drugs and alcohol wouldn't do a lot to a much more powerful Digimon, who are arguably more superior. So if it takes a certain amount to intoxicate a human..." Chenjin would then continue muttering to himself, trying to weigh out the facts he had learned to see how much it would take for a Digimon to get drunk. After a while, he realized what he was doing. "Er, sorry... I do that sometimes..."
Now Chenjin's attention was mainly focused on his empty stomach. He was hoping for Boss to take pity on him and share some food; he was super hungry! Thankfully, Boss complied and shared a couple of apples with the Gatchmon. "Oh, thank you thank you! How can I repay you?!" He didn't want to get something for nothing...
However that didn't stop him from chowing down on those apples, eating an entire one in one bite.

WHO'S THE BOSS?

( tag: none ) Boy, this kid really knew how to run his mouth. Boss thanked every sovereign that he shut up the instant food was put into his face, but the fact he didn’t bring any annoyed him way more than anything. The train shook every so often was he watched the little kid stuff his face with one apple after the other. Least he was content with that, but he wanted to pay the guy back for a good gesture. The ryudamon simply waved a paw and shook his head.
“No need to pay me back for anything, kid,” Boss assured him. He wouldn’t have shared in the first place if he thought he could get something out of it. If anything, it was so his stomach wouldn’t be growling the entire trip since he very much doubted he was going to be able to shake him off for the rest of the train ride anyways. However, another thought came to mind.
“So how exactly were ya gonna plan on stuff like eating and sleeping once you got there? Answer me that and consider me repaid if you’re gonna keep bothering me with that.” Boss asked with a raised brow. “Safe place to stay and all that since this is a permanent visit it seems like.”

The apples were soooo good! Chenjin had chomped down all three apples just like that! Still, he felt bad just taking them from Boss, even though he said it was okay. It just didn't feel right at all...
The topic of where Chenjin was going to live when he got to the human world came up, and this gave Chenjin a good prompt to properly pay back Boss! He got out his backpack and pulled out all of his human money: 100,000 Yen.
"The school I'm going to has a dorm room set up for me. Mama and Papa have a lot of Bits saved up, and they found a way to transfer some of it into human money for me! It's called Yen." Chenjin separated 2,000 Yen from the rest and put the remaining money back into his bag. From there, he held out the 2,000 Yen for Boss. "Here! This should be enough for the apples!" Chenjin made the most adorable smiling face as he held the money up to the Ryudamon.

WHO'S THE BOSS?
I AM.
( tag: none ) So wherever he was going had a place for him to stay -presumably in a holosuit- and his parents gave him some money to at least be able to live around. Boss nodded. That was good on them, it seemed that they’ve been planning this for a while, so he commended them on that. Rubbing his chin, Boss glanced at Chenjin who was pulling something out of his bag. And what he pulled out was a 2,000 yen bill for the apples.
Boss vehemently shook his head. “Not taking it, nope. That’s your and I got enough on me to be fine, you don’t need to pay me back.” It wasn’t that he wasn’t comfortable with taking the money in the first place, it was more that the kid was likely going to need it more than he was. “Seriously, keep your cash, it’s all fine, kid.”
Before the conversation could continue, the train began to jostle a bit, light flooding in from the windows and the train station into the human world coming into view. The conductor announced that they had arrived in Shibuya station, at last. As the train settled into the station, Boss immediately got up off his seat. “Welp, we’re here.”

One thing that Boss was going to learn about Chenjin was that he was stubborn. If he set his mind to something, nothing beyond any known being in the Digital World was going to stop him. When Boss said he wouldn't take it, Chenjin gave him a stare that seemingly went right through his soul.
And if Boss STILL wouldn't take it after that, Chenjin would indeed find a way to sneak the money right onto him somewhere.
However, before more could be said the Trailmon had stopped. The conductor announced that they arrived in Shibuya Station, and passengers could now get off. Aw... and Chenjin was enjoying his time with Boss! He didn't want to leave just yet! So as the passengers started getting off, with some immediately putting on holosuits, Chenjin tugged at Boss.
"Er... could I, maybe... stick with you for a little while? You know, until I get a feel for the human world?"

WHO'S THE BOSS?
I AM. ( tag: none ) Once they’d arrived off the train, most of the Digimon boarding either went into their own method of hiding, be it holosuit or just being fast enough to not be caught. For Boss, he immediately changed into his own holosuit. Once getting off the train, a tall, white haired old man stepped off. Despite the white hair signifying his age, his body looked anything but. He sported enough muscle to comfortably handle himself and show off a bit, a few bodily scars here and there. He wore nothing but a black tank top, jeans and shoes and looked to tower over most Japanese people at 6’5. Boss’ bright green eyes and voice were the only thing that stayed the same about him.
He stared down at Chenjin, who was tugging at him for a few moments and asked something else of him. He wanted him to stick around until he got feel for the place, to which Boss figured he knew what he actually meant. Even if he had a lot of things planned, it doesn't stop the sudden shock of being in a completely new place. “I’m gonna take this means that you don’t know your way around.” He said, with a raised brow.
Slowly leaving the station, he urged Chenjin to follow suit. “Better pick up the pace. I don’t plan on cartin ya around all day. You still hungry?” The old man said, putting his hands in his pockets.

"No, I don't sadly," Chenjin says as he shakes his head. For a bit, he was afraid that Boss would say no, and his one and only friend would then walk away from him. Thankfully, this wasn't the case. Boss then gestured for Chenjin to follow along, asking if he was still hungry.
"I don't think so... those apples probably suited my appetite for now," Chenjin replied happily. However, this was soon proven to be false as Chenjin's stomach then rumbled, loud enough for Boss to clearly hear. Blushing greatly, Chenjin looked at Boss and laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Aha... sounds like my stomach says otherwise, huh? Do you know any good food places around here?"
Oh, he almost forgot! Chenjin then turned on his holosuit, taking the appearance of a young teen boy with red hair. However, he was not used to this new body and was having a BIT of difficulty walking...
