Digivice: Black and Green D3 (Black body, Green grips, white buttons)
Personality: Otohime Watanabe is the opposite of lady-like, being rude, crude, given to bouts of aggression. She lives by her own tune, does what she pleases, and is quick to respond to aggression in kind. Yet underneath this cantankerous exterior lies an interior led by a strong sense of justice and a warm heart. While she happily uses violence, she never uses it upon the weak or undeserving, and never aims to kill, crippling at worst. She protects those who cannot protect themselves, and wishes for nothing more than a fairer world. And once one gets to know her they realize that beneath that crudeness lies a very friendly and nice girl who will go through Hell for her friends. She is very much of a dork, and can be endearingly stupid once you get to know her better. She has a superhuman amount of willpower, fueled by the spirit of her deceased former partner, Jiro. Any questioning of her past, or mentioning of her real name, is met with heavy aggression and browbeating.
Appearance: Otohime is a medium-tall girl, with long, black hair, and a relatively regular complexion. She usually wears an eyepatch over her left eye and a medical mask over her mouth. The former hides a lazy eye, with the eyelid drooping halfway down, the latter is mostly for show. There's a scar on her left temple, a result of a heavy impact laceration. Her eyes have become red, her nose is rounded at the tip, and her lips, when visible, are thin. Her lower left canine tooth is missing, leaving a tooth gap. Her body is robust, not overly muscular but very definitely well trained and in shape. Her bust is of a decent size, she has a rather wide waist and regular hips, making her body gently barrel shaped. Her legs are quite long and powerful, and her right foot is missing the small toe. She generally wears an old long-skirted black school uniform with a red bow. Various sew-ons and waterproof pen written slogans adorn it. She usually wears robust shoes, made for long walks and to kick people in the face. On her back is a simple cotton backpack containing various items and her trusted bat.
Personal History: Otohime was born to a pair of criminals, and was neglected terribly her entire childhood. Her parents were not home most of the time, and never bothered to hire a babysitter, meaning the girl had to raise herself for the most part, leading to both anger issues and a lack of knowledge. At the age of 16, an event took place wherein Otohime's father had lost an immense amount of money in an illegal betting tournament. He vented his anger on his family, including Otohime. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, and the girl ran away from home, preferring life in the shadow of society on the streets to spending any more time at home. She spent the next 6 months alone on the streets, running from police and those trying to get her back home alike. It all changed when one Mr. Keiji Madayoshi found her on the streets. She tried mugging the old man, but was overwhelmed by his own strength. However, instead of reporting her to the police, he brought her to his home, gave her a spare change of clothing and some food. He felt rather sad that a girl of her potential was to live on the streets, and offered her shelter in return for learning everything he had to teach. Having little other choice, Otohime agreed. While at first she did this for solely selfish reasons, she came to appreciate the grouchy but loving old man's care for her. She mellowed out, but did not stop her delinquent ways. Over time, she became a very good girl with an incredibly rough exterior, thanks to her surrogate father's care.
Eventually, she came upon the Digital World, and there she met a Digimon by the name of Jiro. Jiro was an ostracised, shy and scared young Dracomon, whom Otohime came to see as a sort-of younger sibling to take care of. Human and Partner became the best of friends, however, this was not meant to last. Jiro's father, a ruthless and emotionless scientist, mutated his own son into a mindless monstrosity to further his own research. A fight broke out, with Otohime managing to help Jiro regain his senses, but him ending up mortally wounded by his father. He faded, his code too messed up to properly reincarnate. This seemed to be the end of Jiro, but Otohime refused to accept that he was dead and gone. She followed her heart, and a quiet call from Jiro she swears she's heard. Eventually, she came upon the Grove of Shadow in the Dark Area, a place of life in the dark where the enigmatic Ferryman, a Daemon by the name of Charon, collects the errant data of Digimon that cannot reincarnate properly, and gives them a safe sanctuary to live in, as Digi Gnomes. Charon was sympathetic to Otohime's desire to be reunited with her friend, and told her that he could become a Spirit, so he could be with her at all times. He, however, had to test her resolve and strength, as not everyone can handle a Spirit Evolution. Otohime manages to pass his test, and was granted the Spirit of Lightning, which Jiro now inhabits.
