A break in the flowers (Miyu)

Katsura was wandering through the forest again, in her arms she was carrying Nyao the blackgatomon. It has been a while since Katsura last time had to deal with Alexis ehh Scarlet, whoever that is. To Nyao this was getting increasingly confusing to keep track of who that girl was and just as important keep Katsura from being disappointed.
As Katsura was carrying around Nyao the duo came to a flowerbed. This was a nice place to relax so Katsura let go of Nyao and kneeled before the flowers. Katsura smelled one of the flowers, a large red one.
"The digital world is a amazing, sometimes I still miss living here." "I know but this way you don't have to beg for money or anything." "I know, it's just not the same. I mean the digital world is my special place. It's the only place I feel like myself." As Katsura sat there she wondered where she should go next.

The little adventures of Bloom continue as she decides to go a little bit further in the digital world, from the calm of the mainframe hills to the more lively Server Woods, going a little bit further in her day of exploration and "break" of the human world wouldn't hurt, just to be sure that things where going to be OK she focus a little and evolve from Tanemon to Palmon.
"This is much better" Said Bloom stretching finally using her more suited for exploration form "Would be even better if I could go to my ultimate form and fly, although if I was able to go just champion that would be better means I could explore even more and be able to defend myself" she started walking while talking to herself "The disadvantage of being a partnered digimon" she sighed
The forest was a little quite today, there where some little digimons here and there but they didn't pay much attention to her and neither did she, after a couple of hours walking she decided to take a rest on a flowerbed, being surrounded by other flowers with a different pretty scents was the best and a really relaxing, one thing call her attention while she was sitting between the flowers she felt something getting closer and smelling the flower on her head, Palmon did not waste any second to move out of the way and stand up
"HEY HEY HEY! What are you doing?" She said with a surprised tone "Don't you know anything about personal space?" Ironic since her tamer doesn't know what personal space is either, but Miyu wasn't here now

Bloom wasn't the only one that was surprised about this turn of events, so was Katsura who didn't expect a plant being able to talk back to her. However that shouldn't surprise her that much which is why Katsura was only briefly startled. Katsura took another look at the flower, this time out of curiosity.
"Oh hi little guy, are plants digimon too? Are you lost? Do plants have names?"
Unfortunately for Bloom, Katsura soon proved to have a mediocre sense of personal space. As Katsura was asking questions she studied Bloom's leaves with her fingers, Katsura circled her head around bloom studying every angle and all the time she was at most 2 inches away from Bloom. At this closeness, Bloom could feel Katsura's breath in her leaves. Nyao rolled her eyes at Katsura.
"Ehm Katsura? That's the opposite of personal space." "It is? Why are you telling me that? Oh right sorry, I sometimes get carried away when it's about digimon. I'm Ise Katsura and this is my partner Nyao."

Bloom did not felt comfortable with the stranger's curiosity, being observed, touch and bombarded with questions was a lot for the little plant, especially when the girl was so close that she could feel her breath on top of her leaves, the sweet scent emanating from the flower on her head soon turn into a really bad stench, hopefully that would tell that little girl to give her some space.
“Yes, Digimon can be plants too, my name is Bloom, I am not lost and WHO ARE YOU CALLING GUY?!?” Palmon answer to Katsura’s questions one by one
Luckily she had a partner that remind her about personal space, in a way she felt a deja vu sensation, this particular scene is something that would happen with her partner around, guess this was the Karma Miyu always spoke, Bloom took a better look at the girl and her Digimon, Katsura was small, she could be the smallest human she met so far and something about her remind her of Miyu and that was nice, as for her partner it was a Gatomon but black something that you don't see very often at least for her.
“Hi Katsura and Nyao” she greet them with a smile now that she had her space “What brings you two to the Server Woods?” She asked tilting her head curiously.

Open hearing Bloom's complaints about the word "guy", Katsura promptly proceed to bow in an apologizing manner. "Oh sorry miss, usually when I talk to plants they only talk in my voice, like the girl in the mirror." "Yourself?"
"Oh yeah, no wonder we're on the same wavelength most of the time." Nyao sighed, as often was the case Katsura didn't realize how her words came out. And it didn't help that Katsura said those things in a casual matter of fact way she spoke it as if this was a completely normal conversation. Wait most of the time? Never mind, Nyao didn't have the energy to dwell too much with trying to understand how Katsura's mind works. Katsura returned to the flower who was greeting her and asking about why they were in the forest.
"Well, the forest is like a 2nd home to me. Last year I lived almost entirely in the digital world so now this place feels right. The human world is so strange sometimes, don't know if you have been there."

"They only talk on my voice?" "Like the girl in the mirror?" Bloom had to take some minutes to process and try to understand what the girl meant, specially with how cassually she said it, at leas she bow and ask for forgiveness, certainly there was something odd about Katsura yet that innocence is charming on a certain way.
"Apologies accepted" Bloom smiled "You lived in the digital world for a whole year?" Palmon asked blinking at the mention of Katsura liking this place like a second home. "That's really impressive, I can't imagine Miyu wanting to live here, as much as we have fun can't blame her for wanting a break after all we were on two really tight situations..."
Thinking about it they have it rough on their last couple of adventures, if it wasn't for her evolution and later Cinder's evolution probably they wouldn't be alive and well, humans are squishy creatures that must be protected yet sometimes they're strong willed and stubborn, interesting to say the least in the end digimon and tamer must work together to grow and get stronger, so she'll give Miyu her break while she explore the more calm places of the digital world.
"I've been in the human world before, fun place but gets old faster, nothing beats the digital world for me" the little plant giggle

Thankfully the plant didn't seem to hold any grudges against Katsura, Katsura nodded in confirmation that she had been living that long in the digital world.
"Mhm"
Katsura spaced out again for a moment. It was a cute little flower and by its existence it made Katsura realize that she still had a lot to learn about the digital world, if a flower could be a digimon then anything could be a digimon. Maybe that rock Katsura was sleeping on last week was in fact a digimon in a holosuit? But before Katsura could test her theory the flower who was apparently named Bloom spoke again, mentioning someone named Miyu.
"Miyu? What kind of digimon is she?"
It wasn't the first time Katsura had heard about a digimon who preferred the human world over the digital world though it confused her why a digimon would feel that way. If only Katsura knew that this Miyu wasn't even a digimon but no, Katsura sincerely thought that Miyu was a nickname for a digimon. Katsura then heard the little plant out.
"Me too, I go here every time I need a break from the human world. It's easier in here."

Bloom tilt her head when Katsura ask what kind of digimon was Miyu, it's true that digimon can have names but most of the ones she knows are because names that the human partner gave them, well... There where those gangs she fought on WhiteWater but that can be the exception to the rule... Thinking about it it make sense if the digimon have their own names it would be really confusing otherwise, anyways onto the question.
"No, Miyu is my partner, like you are Nyao's"
Bloom noded listening to Katsura's comments of comming here from time to time, certainly the digital world had it's own magic, something that even digimon can't explain, it might be their world bue it's full of mysteries and adventures that it's hard to get bored and while certainly the human world is interesting, the little plant doesn't find it that good too much techonology for her, she feels more confortable in the forest and jungle.
"Yeah, I get you, maybe is just because I'm a digimon but I need to be here, as much as I like being with Miyu and stay in the human world something inside of me calls me to come here, I feel at home... Well techinically my home is... Was on Cypher Jungle but I don't feel like walking to there now.. Maybe later"

All the things Bloom said right now rendered Katsura completely confused and she was left staring puzzled at the little flower. Gradually as Katsura was rambling, she became less and less coherent and it was instead getting obvious that Katsura's mind couldn't handle this information.
"Umm, Miyu is your partner? Bu-ut you're here and she's... But she's supposed to umm. I mean you're her best friend for life. Wait, you're lost right? That's why, right." "Katsura... calm down." "What-do-you-mean?"
"There's probably an explanation." "On why Bloom was abandoned?"
Katsura stopped herself halfway in trying to hug Bloom because she suddenly remembered that Bloom actually wants personal space, though at that point Katsura's arms were already out and despite withdrawn them it was still easy to tell the intended hug. Nyao hastily jumped down to avoid getting squished.
"You don't know that yet either." "Oh... Right" Katsura forced herself to gear down to the level of a normal person to the chagrin of the feline.
"Sorry about that I assure you that Katsura means well."

Bloom was confuse to say the least even more confuse than Katsura, the girl just started rambling and interrupting herslef, correcting her own words, didn't seem to really know what she wanted to say and even try to hug her and of course instinctively she took a step back, although Katsura hold herself in the last second, one thing that really rub Bloom the wrong way was the fact that the girl assumed that Miyu abandon her, nope not gonna take that, time for the plant to explain.
"OK... Let's go little by little..." She took some seconds to recall everything Katsura said and tried to answer. Yes, Miyu is my partner and yes my best friend for life, no, I am not lost nor I was abandoned" She answer in the more polite way possible, the thought of some one judging Miyu and assuming she abandon her without knowing her partner just made her mad, but was no need to be agressive. "She's just taking a break from the digital world, our adventures haven't been the more happy ones and we've been on several life or death situations so she needs a break and have a more normal human life for a while"
That out of the way hopefully no more miss understandings will happen, Nyao reassured her that Kat means well and yeah the plant can see that, Katsura looks like a nice girl but she had a big leap in logic and reasoning that really set her off for a second.
"Don't worry Nyao, it's all OK She commented with a smile

To fully calm to normal Katsura had to take a deep breath while listening to Bloom's explanation. It didn't help Katsura feel much better to see Nyao wearing a patronizing face that all but stated "I told you so". Katsura didn't know why but that look and Bloom's answer made her afraid to see either in the eyes for a long while. That being said, even Katsura knew you can't just shut down in the middle of a conversation, reluctantly she returned to talk with the flower.
"Umm sorry about that it's just... It doesn't make sense why a digimon would be away from their best friend for life. Ever since Nyao came into my life I have never been away from her in more than a moment tops. It's painful being alone soo" "We have been over this before, Katsura. You can't expect others to think the way you do. "I know! But... It's just strange to me and don't you need Miyu-chan to achieve a higher form?"
Katsura couldn't think of not having digimon as normal life anymore, the idea that another human girl would need a break from the digital world let alone her own partner was alien to her, even more confusing was the idea that having such a distance relationship willingly. Maybe that was what Nyao was talking about.

It was good to see that Katsura finally calmed down and listen to her, all misunderstandings can be solve by just listening to the other side of the story, Bloom noted that Katsura was feeling sad the way she avoid making eye contact was enough to tell her that something was wrong, guess a little hug wouldn't hurt, right? The little plant got closer and hug the black haired girl
"Don't be so sad, I'm fine" She said cheerfully "And I don't know, like I sair something inside of me calls me to be in this world even if it's just a couple of minutes, and Miyu is my best friend for life that's why I'm not forcing her to come back, if she wants a little more peace and enjoy her world before jumping back here I won't go against her desires and besides, it's not like she abandon me nor I won't see her again, it's just little me time"
While all that was good Katsura brought up a nice point, she NEEDS Miyu to achieve forms above rookie, that fact went through her like a dagger right to her digi-core, of course Katsura didn't mean it on a bad way but just pointing that out made her feel weak and it wouldn't be the first time she feels this way, she was a Bancho once she should be capable of achieving even stronger forms without the help of a Human and yet... Here she is nothing but a weak Rookie...
"I mean... It shouldn't be a problem as long as I stay on the safe places like the mainframe hills or here..."

"I wouldn't wish to be away from Nyao in even a second, a whole world apart is just strange. I'm not used to be alone. Even when I go to the human world Nyao is always with me. We even..." "Ehm too much information?" Nyao didn't know exactly what part of their extremely close relationship Katsura was about to expose but she felt this was starting to sound like being more about Katsura and less about Miyu and Bloom.
"Sorry again, this is all new to me. I hope she takes good care of you wherever she is." What Bloom said about the forest being a safe safe triggered something inside her, where did she heard that before? Wait, from Nyao. Who somehow always had an excuse ready when Katsura wanted to explore beyond some "safe" zones. Come to think of it when was the last time Katsura was allowed in the dark area without Nyao going all powerful?
"Umm how's the rest of the digital world like? It's a while since I've been out of the forest."

Katsura's feelings are understandable, being alone is a really bad feeling and once you have a good friend you don't want to leave them, but each person is their own world and Bloom really didn't minded having one day off to have her own fun, after all it's not like she and Miyu will be away forever, once she gets bored she'll go back to the human world and with her partner
"Oh yeah, don't worry about that, Miyu is the nicest person I know, she always make sure I have fresh dirt on my pot and daily waters me, she knows how to take good care of a plant like me!" The plant answer cheerfully
How the rest of the digital world is like? Well that's kind of a tough question, if we are honest the digital world can throw danger at every corner but Nyao seems capable of taking many of the dangers that for her would be a HUGE problem.
"I would say that the safest place are the Server Woods and the mainframe hills, oh and the village of beginnings" Yup that sounds about right, the server woods is a really calm place unless you go too deep you won't have problems, Mainframe Hills is one of the most pacific places she knows and finally the village of beginnings is a well protected place so the baby digimon can grow in a safe enviroment. "I wouldn't recomend going to the desert, being attacked twice there, I have never been on the north sector of the digital world and there is no way I'm putting one root on the dark area, those are the places I would avoid unless I'm with Miyu and even then I wouldn't want her bhe near the Dark Area

Katsura was disappointed to find out her bluff had failed, those places were more or less the same places she already knew and now it got confirmed that the places where she was allowed to go was among the most safe places in the digital world. But she couldn't just kill the mood of this happy plant. So instead she spoke the first thing that entered her mind.
"Must be pretty hard getting around as a plant you know." "Katsura" "What? I just wanted to know. I'm not used to talking flowers." Nyao rolled her eyes though technically, Katsura had a point. It's not every day you get to interact with plants like that and it certainly was difficult for Nyao to picture a potted plant having much mobility in a living room.
"Oh right, it's too personal right?"
Katsura then allowed Bloom to finish speaking.
"Umm I can see why a flower doesn't like deserts but the dark area isn't so bad once you get used to it. Some of my best friends live in the dark area too so"
It might also have something to do with the scarce number of digimon willing to provoke a mega leveled digimon that's escorting a seemly harmless teenage girl. Maybe that's the reason she can be so clueless to the dangers in there.
