The more deep they got into the cave following the scent of Amy the more Kyosuke wonder what the hell was this place, specially after feeling a slimy substance on his feet, the path was really dark if it wasn't for the perfume of the french girl finding her would've been a lost cause, fortunately this wasn't the case and after some minutes running the wolf and the frog reach a new chamber although pretty similar to the one they come from, this was filled to the brim with those vine and this ones looked even more agressive than the ones on the other chamber, acting erratically.
"Oh for the love of... I could barely hold a couple on the other room and this chamber is even worst" He thought, taking a better look to the place he could identify Amelie bound on those vines on top of a platform while an even thicker tendril was making his way down to her, without a second thought he was ready to jump and save her but the frog was fast to caught up a that there was some kind of lever to the other side of the room.
"Why do I have to care about that?" He questioned Aoi, the tone in his voice denoted the pressure he was feeling now
"You said it, we have to find the main body, maybe it's related!" The frog quickly answer. "Remember the thing I read, maybe all of this is connected to that, "Awaiting, bidding, planning" Doesn't sound like what those vines where doing back in the other room, waiting for an opening so they can snatch Amy and bind her, "Regal colors glowing in the deep" That pinkish glow that we follow to the DEEPest part of the cave..." Aoi tried to remember more of that prophecy but due to her panic she couldn't "THING IS Let me go and get that lever while you set free miss Amelie!"
"You sure about this?" To be fair Kyo wouldn't let the frog go alone, but if she was decided there was nothing he could do.
"YES! I fail once, I am not going to let something bad happen to Mis Amelie, try to take her out of there and I'll get that lever"
And then it was settled both took different path to their own objective of course Strabimon geting first with a quick jump he got on the platform and got ready to save Amelie, putting the digivice in his mouth to not lose it if one of the vines decide to snatch it, and with his claws shining in a golden light start scratching and tearing the bindings of the french girl, meanwhile the frog slowly but surely made her way to the lever, since she wasn't use to move by foot on land and the fact that she had to avoid the erractic movements of the vines her task could take a little longer than Kyo's

Kyo and Aoi had to move fast if they intended to release Amelie before whatever plans that big tendril had on her could be enacted. It was a sticky situation, but the duo had a solid plan, and they were willing to go through it despite the consequences. That could be a good thing, or their downfall, depending on what would happen next.
Time to find out.
Said and done, the Strabimon closed the gap and began to slash furiously at the tendrils. He succeeded at cutting them down, even though a new vine seemed to appear as soon as one was cut. Frustrating, but not in vain, seemingly! For each vine cut and replaced, the bigger tendril that loomed above seemed to slow its march considerably, almost as if it had to exert itself in order to replace its damaged or lost companions.
If Aoi managed to take good care of herself while Strabimon bought her the necessary time, she'd reach the lever.
What'd happen once she pulled it? The room would be flooded on the same light that had led them to the previous chamber; immediately, every vine, tendrils, and tentacles that populated the room would instantly retract, almost as if escaping that aberrant glow.
Not without a last parting gift, however. The vines currently restraining Amy's wrists and ankles gave one final, tight squeeze. The result? The otherwise unconscious teenager opened her eyes widely at the brutal strength applied. A pained scream erupted from her throat as she was released. Amelie's body instinctively curled into a ball, and she seemed to be crying from the pain alone; almost as if she were paralyzed in the face of whatever had happened.
But she was free, and there weren't any vines to be seen. Did that mean that they were out of danger? Could that mean that they could exit this accursed place? Or just that they were getting a moment of respite?

To say that Kyosuke had a lot of pressure on his back was an understatement, not only he had to act fast and free Amelie, not only their only plan was based on a poor assumption but also knowing the lack of fighting skills of Aoi he had to also pay attention and not let the frog get hurt, although she was doing pretty good by herself the thought of having to save her later was a fear that slowly crawls to his mind and seeing how things where going on his end the fear had a solid base.
No matter how hard he tried everything was worthless, slashing, tearing, piercing, biting... NOTHING those vines regenerate as fast as he cut them and kept their hold on the girl, the small wolf roared in frustration and as he looked up he saw that the big tendril was slowing down... Was this all his actions or there was another reason? Well he had no way to prove the second option so he kept trying to unbind the girl, he had to buy all the time possible until Aoi gets to the lever.
Aoi move slow and careful movements towards the lever, the advantage of being small is that she can go through the most tight places the vines can't reach, after some minutes and a couple of close calls the Otamamon finally reach their goal, she tried to push the lever but didn't do much, Aoi took a look back and saw the desperation on her partner trying to save his friend, the menacing tendril still making it's way, that scene alone was all that she needed to take one more try, Aoi wouldn't fail this time, she wouldn't let Amy get hurt, the frog took some distance from her and ht lever and then ran towards it putting all her weight into pushing that lever and would you know it? She made it!
The room was engulf on that pinkish light that guide the trio to this place and all vines and tendrils dissappeared in that instant retracting back to the creases. "I DID─" Aoi's celebration was stop when she hear Amelie's scream...
For Kyosuke it was even worst since he had a first row seat to hear the scream and see the french girl curlp up to a ball and cry? Definetely not a good sign and as much as he wants to move and leave this place already he can't just let Amy like this... He took a deep breath and close his eyes in a couple of seconds Strabimon body started to glitch out and soon the cocoon of data appeared turning him back into a human, was this a good idea? Lower his guard by going back into a weak human? Maybe not but better be himself than a wolf when trying to confort another person, something about closeness and relate to each other.
"Hey... It's over..." Up to a good start... Really how do people do this without acting awkward or unconfortable? "Look... I'm sorry I let this happen... I am still new to all this and trust me I'm not trying to excuse myself here I should've had the foresight to think that thing will try to sneak up on you and..." No, no, shut up you're not helping!
Kyo felt powerless and weak in this situation, he took a deep breath and sit next to Amy, giving her a soft pat on the shoulder letting her know that he was there, sometimes you don't need words to reassure another person, the man just let the brunette cry as much as she needed, was the right thing? He doesn't know but they deserve a break some minutes of peace and to vent as much as possible, god only knows what awaits deeper into this cave...
After a couple of minutes even Aoi join them, the liitle frog didn't say anything and just lay down next to Kyosuke, she looked sad too it was obvious that she was blaming herself for what happen, Kyo just sighed and gave a soft pat to the frog's head
"Don't look so sad, I thought I was the grumpy one on this partnership" He made a little joke trying to cheer up Aoi. "Besides, you did great, not only you save her but you also make those things go away, that's more than I did" He reassure the Otamamon with a smile on his face
"I gues... But... But I was the one that let this happen and then hurt her..." While Aoi appreciated the good words of her partner, right now she wasn't feeling like she deserves them.
"Look... You can't blame yourself for that, you didn't know I certainly didn't and in your place I would've done the same, past is the past don't dwell too hard on that and focus on present, all three of us are still here, that's something to be happy if you ask me" Aoi thought for a couple of seconds and then smile, he was right, she must be happy that at least manage to save Amy even if she hurt her
As the time keep passing and things calmed down a little Kyo reach to Amelie once again, he softly took her hand trying to not make her feel anymore pain that she already felt and gave her back the D-tector
"This is yours, better not lose it again" He would try then to be face to face and look at her in the eyes. "Look, I'm sorry I let all this happen, I can't promise you that this won't happen again nor that I'm strong enough to face whatever lives here, but I can promise you that I'll do everything I can to take you back safe out of this place, it's hard for me to admit this but... You're special to me... You're one of the few people I can call a friend and put all my trust into... What I'm trying to say is... I'll do anything to help you no matter how bad things look I'll be there for you" Kyo started blushing the more he speaked, he was trying his best for some one that has problems socializing and expressing himself to make sure Amy felt better. "Now... I don't know what you would want to do if keep exploring or going back, but I'm sure you don't feel like walking so... Want a piggy bank ride or... Want me to carry you in my arms...?"

From her spot, even if she was shocked and pretty much at the border of a panic attack, Amelie managed to rein herself, at least to an extent. Maybe Kyo's voice had managed to break her fall somewhat? There were some things she didn't need regarding this whole deal, however. The first one? For sure, she didn't need an apology.
The brunette just didn't want to think. She wanted to get out of this place and for it to remain as a memory that she would seldom revisit, if at all. Nothing of usefulness had been found in this accursed cave; if she didn't have to return ever again, that'd be fine.
Was that going to happen or not, however? Everyone seemed to be awfully bent on being introspective at the moment or on not talking at all; herself included. In a situation like this, being able to voice her thoughts without the need to speak would be priceless.
As time slowly passed, the shock began to wear, just in time for the brunette to begin recovering her composure. That had been a close call, but... she was alive. She was alive, and most importantly... she was angry.
However, the brunette was too tired to feel particularly strongly about anything at the moment. Mustering an amount of effort that shouldn't be at the gesture, she took her digivice into her hands. Kyosuke was right; she couldn't let this kind of stuff scare her off. She was stronger than this...
"I'll... I'll be fine." She finally muttered, words finally beginning to will themselves out of her mouth. "Thank you." Traces of the dread and terror she had felt moments ago were still tangible; it'd take a while for them to fully worn off. But... the show had to continue, hadn't it?
Obviously too tired to maintain a conversation, Amy tried to adopt a sitting position, even though the only thing she accomplished was for her body to be sprawled somewhat awkwardly in the dais. Rather pitiful, wasn't it?
Frustrated, even though with herself rather than with the man in front of her, the brunette just... huffed. That was the only response Kyo would get; it was a pity that she wasn't in the condition to respond his heartfelt confession more appropriately, but... that was how life was.
One thing was for sure, though! Even though she wanted to stand up and move again, she wasn't telling something like 'how she wanted to be carried' to Kyosuke. He'd have to figure that one all on his own.

Well definitely this adventure wasn't going the way he expected to, nothing here went as he expected, suddenly this world didn't seem as fun as he thought it would be, of course Kyosuke wasn't that dumb to think that the digital world didn't have any kind of dangers and all this was just a game, but his previous experience show that it really wasn't that bad even in a place known as the Tyrant's Labyrinth the worst thing he faced was a bear and he won, but this was completely different, he felt so powerless right now he couldn't do anything to protect a friend he really cares about.
At least things were a little more calm now, seeing that Amelie tried to sit but was having trouble Kyosuke put his hand on her back and slowly help her to get on a sitting position, the man smiled warmly when the brunette said that she was going to be fine and thanked him
"That's good to hear, but you don't need to hide how you truly feel from me" he said, it was obvious that her shock has not fade completely. "I won't think less of you or anything, once you gain my trust and you already did, I'm one of the most loyal friends you'll have, honestly you have to do something really horrible for me to think less or turn my back on you" He reassure Amelie, hopefully being this open with her will help a little to make the bad moment go away.
Sadly the only answer he got was a "huff", definitely not what he expected but he can understand she doesn't feel like talking after what happen, a shame because that means the little time they have for themselves to rest is going to be a really boring one, Kyosuke just sighed and move his other arm beneath Amelie's legs and lift her up carrying the brunette in his arms bridal style.
"I guess if you're not going to talk, you can't tease me about this and besides the shoulder is the place of the frog" Having said that Aoi climb up to his shoulder and gave a small wave and smile to Amelie
"Rest as much as you can, promise we're not letting you down again!" Said the otamamon cheerfuly
Kyosuke and Aoi took a good glance at the new room now that it was free of those vines something more interesting should be easy to spot.

Despite Kyosuke being a bit rough around his edges, he was definitely a good person, wasn't he? At least in the sense that he cared towards Amelie in a way that the teenager wasn't quite aware of.
And that felt kinda nice, in all honesty. Or at least, it would have felt, if Amelie could muster any measure of niceness at the moment. Being lowkey angry and frustrated with the recent events didn't contribute to her overall mood; that was for sure. The guy himself was being kinda insistent, and that was beginning to grate on the brunette's nerves.
Was she still afraid? Yes, but an emotion still superseded that fear, greatly; it wasn't something nice to feel, and she felt like Kyosuke didn't deserve that kind of backlash. Instead, Amy found herself literally swept off her feet; guy really had been sincere with his offer at carrying her bridal style, hadn't he? Well, it wasn't like she could resist, anyway.
She hated it, but her body was too weak to do much of anything. And she wasn't admitting that. But enough of that; what about the room around them? Now that the vines were no more, it seemed like a rather plain room, mostly devoid of any defining feature with the exception of the dais where Amelie had been laying moments ago.
Except for another great door, not that far away from the trio. Slightly opened due to the lever that Aoi opened, it was big enough to let Kyo enter.
Was that the final room? What would the group find there, if they entered? Maybe it was a better idea to go back? That was something that, for now... the boxer had to decide. Or maybe he wanted to wait until the uncollaborative brunette got a little better and decide alongside her? Those were all valid options.

Still no answer, not one single word, to be honest this made him feel a little stupid, Kyosuke wasn't great with words but give him a little credit he was trying to be nice for the first time and let his heart do the talk, but nothing seemed to work, Amelie just looked upset and lost in her own world of thoughts.
"Got it, message received, I'll shut up..." He sighed
One thing, just do one thing right is all what he is asking himself right now, couldn't really help her and now it's failing horribly on cheer her up or at least try to relate, one can add frustration now to the list of mixed feelings he has.
They took a look around the room trying to find something new now that the vines are gone, nothing too interesting, the room was plain and basic, not even the digimoji writing like in the last room, Aoi pointed out that near the lever she push there was now a door that was slightly open, should he go there? I mean it was either that or go stay here, he could probably take Amelie back but they got this far to just turn their backs now, right?
"Want my opinion? Leave her here and proceed through the door" The spirit talked. "Think of it this way, she's not cooperating at all and her digivice is not functioning, it doesn't serve us any use besides a distraction, if there are more of those things on the next room and I'm sure there'll be, we are not going to be able to do anything, but if she stays on this safe place we can focus on fight without anything holding us down"
Kyo thought for a couple of minutes, the spirit had some good points but the idea of leaving her here wasn't one he was confortable with, what if the lights goes out and the vines come back?
"Even if we stay and wait for her to feel better what good will do us when her device still doesn't work?" He speaked again. "It's either go by ourselves or have a weight on our backs trying to protect her from those things. and besides it's not like anyone can stop you, right?" The spirit giving the last push to take the decision "She can't move and the frog is too small to do anything, everything rest in our hands or would you prefer to stay here feeling like trash because you're unable to do anything?"
That was enough and the decision was made, a small smile was drawn on Kyo's face, taking a deep breath he would put down Amy and Aoi, should he tell them about the stupid idea of going alone? Probably, although like the spirit said, who's going to stop him? Nah, better not to worry them
"Alright frog, be a nice girl and watch Amelie for me, I'll go check the next room" He gave Aoi a soft headpat
"You sure about this?" The Otamamon ask obviously worried, this wasn't exactly a happy place to wander around and make friends
"Come on! Believe in your partner, I promise that if anything happens I'll be back on a Flash"
After that he just walked towards the door and to the next room, stupid idea? Maybe, but better than stand and do nothing

Honestly, it wasn't like Amelie could affect any decision regarding the matter, anyway. Kyosuke had decided to venture there, alone, leaving her injured self on the previous room, alone with Aoi. It kinda served her right, didn't it? Guy was just trying to help and she was being difficult for something that hadn't been her fault.
The only person that could be the target of any blame was none other than herself, her powerlessness and the notion that she had control over anything.
After being placed back down, the brunette did her best to adopt a sitting posture; only after Kyo was gone was that she decided to speak. Well, speaking was probably an overstatement!
"Ugh." A grunt escaped her throat, her limbs finally decided to cooperate with the rest of her body, even if the experience was, overall... painful. "I was just a bit of an ass with him, wasn't I? I didn't mean to, it's just that..."
It's just that she didn't want for anyone to see her vulnerable like this. "I should apologize once he comes back. I probably wouldn't... be here if you were for you two, you know?" Slowly, a hand reached for Aoi, pulling her in for the girl's best attempt at a hug. "You were really brave down there, Aoi. Thank you."
With any luck, the frog would accept that small show of gratitude. After letting go, Amy gazed at the open gap that was the door where the last member of the trio had gotten in. "Do you think he'll... be okay? Maybe we should go after him in case he finds himself in a tough spot. What do you think?"
She trusted on him, but... who knew what would be ahead. That was at anyone's guess.
Maybe the worries of everyone involved were mostly unfounded. Kyosuke found himself in a mostly empty room, as featureless as the door he had used to get inside. There wasn't anything particularly interesting to see, except for the strange object that rested amid the room.
A lectern of sorts, where a single stone plate rested. The plate itself was engraved with signs that —just like last time—, Kyosuke couldn't interpret. Maybe this was a job for Aoi? Maybe the Otamamon would find itself at her wit's end; there was only one way to find out about that.
Or... was it? How silent the room was managed to be just a bit unsettling.

Aoi look curiously at Amelie as she finally decided to talk, at first the little frog didn't understand much what she meant, how was she an ass? I mean sure she has one but being one? That's weird... But the rest she did understand, frankly now she can't stop thinking of how weird humans are, maybe not all humans are the same Souji and miss Katherine certainly didn't have the ego that this two have...
"Is it really that bad to show weakness?" The little frog asked, watching her "Partner's" attitude and now Amelie makes her wonder that, she knows she is weak and doesn't hide it, Aoi doesn't see a reason to act tough if you can't defend that act. "I don't know much, humas are still a little alien to me, it's interesting to see how different they act to each other, in the case of you two I feel you guys are great person but the ego is on the way to be better" Aoi struggle a little to find words, she really didn't know what to say on this situation or if it was OK to ask that. "I was happy to see how he acted towards you, it was different than the "tough I can do everything by myself" attitude he has, I guess he kinda feels frustrated that he open up and was being himself with you and in the end you just keep your act"
As she was speaking the little frog was picked up by the french girl and receive a soft hug, well at least she was being open with her so maybe was just a thing between humans, maybe digimon have an easier time helping a human to open up, all this was really weird but the frog appreciate the compliment and the hug, she even gave the hug back (as much as her tiny arms could reach to hug Amelie that is)
"I fail you once and I didn't want to do it again, I wasn't thinking I just run towards the lever and hope for the best... Sorry if it ended up hurting you even more" She was still a little affected by that, still hearing the scream Amelie let go once she pull the lever... "And about him... If you want to go I'll follow you it is my duty to protect you, but if you want to trust him and wait I'll be here with you too!" Said cheerfully
While Kyosuke was ready for anything he was worried for anything, the room was mostly empty and featureless, aside for a lectern that was holding a plate full with those weird symbols only the frog could read, the room was so quiet that brought an eerie feeling to the man, one thing was for sure he doesn't want to stay here for long.
"I'll take you can't read this" He softly spoke calling the spirit out
"As of now.... No..."
"Figures..." He thought, so dead end he can go back and look for the frog and met with the uncooperative french girl again or he can try to look for something else, the first option wasn't of his likes, going back empty handed just to look for the frog didn't sound great, and the second option was just useless since it didn't seem to be anything here... Now what about a third possibility? Could it be possible to lift the plate and bring it to the other room? Would that activate a trap? He has seen a lot of movies to know that removing a plate on a seemingless empty room will trigger a trap... He already ate his pride once and get nothing out of it so better be useful this time, before trying to take the plate out of the lectern he would check the room carefully trying to see if there are hidden traps

Show weakness... that was the Otamamon's first question? Well, it wasn't all that weird, in a sense.
"It's not, but..." Her reasoning was as flawed as it came, but for her, that didn't make it any less valid. "Pride is something that some beings have grown up with. It's not unique to humans, either; most digimon have a fair share of it. But I digress."
Another deep breath, another small pause. "Whether my ego is hampering my growth or not, that is something I'll try to fix in due time. It's not something that can be corrected at the drop of a hat, you know? But... I reckon that it might need some work on my part."
However, there was a tidbit that caught her attention. Her... 'act'? As far as the brunette knew, that was a mistaken assumption. "No act on my side, though. I was just in a bad mood and didn't feel like acting with anybody; that much was genuine." She made a pause before continuing. "I just... try to shut off when I'm in pain or feel too distressed; I kinda can't help it. But that's no act; just the way I am."
She was still apologizing, but explaining the reasons behind would help, probably! Maybe Kyosuke would remain pissed with her, but that was more than understandable. "It's fine; don't worry. I guess I was just a bit... reckless? I underestimated this place, and paid a hefty price for that. It was due to you and Kyosuke that it wasn't higher. I wouldn't have regrets for what you did, considering that I'd probably be in... a lot more pain, hadn't that been the case."
For now, however, the brunette seemed somewhat doubtful in regards to what to do next. Well, not really, honestly. "I think I want to rest for a bit more." She finally concluded. "If Kyosuke hadn't come back, by then, I think it's safe for us to venture where he is."
What about Kyosuke, then? It seemed like there wasn't anything else in the room. No hidden mechanisms, no traps, nothing at all despite how much he looked around? Was that something good or... alarming? Could it be that this place was designed so the item resting in the lectern could be easily taken? That was an interesting proposition, even if not necessarily true.
However, the item didn't give out any kind of resistance, and no trap was triggered. What would he do next?

Aoi listen carefully to Amelie's word, she tilted her head a little to the side curiously when the French girl explain that she wasn't acting, that was interesting as it means that there is more to Amelie that nice side she has much like there was more to Kyosuke's grumpy and loner act, although the little frog was wondering if that was an act or how her partner really was.... Humans are weird....
"I'm sorry for assuming that you where acting" The little frog sighed "And about the pride and ego thingy... That too is a little alien to me, where I lived our only job was obeying the TonosamaGekomon, so things like pride, ego, greediness and even things like friendship where off the table for us so we don't make the boss mad and get in trouble" Aoi explained, it wasn't until now that she started being herself instead of just one of the many Otamamon roaming the Jungle. "So I just tend to believe the first impression is usually the way they are and the rest is an act, I promise I won't make that mistake again! I feel that traveling with my partner will help me learn a lot about the things I didn't know when I was on the jungle and develop myself to be my own digimon, but I also wish to learn from everyone else and hop you'll teach me a lot!" Said Aoi and smile warmly
The little frog relax a little more when the brunette compliment her bravery and that she would be in more trouble if Aoi didn't acted, and now they just need to wait for the return of Kyosuke, it's been so minutes since he left but Aoi knows that her Partner is perfectly fine!
Kyosuke took his time checking every corner of this room he wanted to be sure that no trap would activate the moment he lifted the plate out of the lectern, no luck either the traps where very well hidden or there weren't and he was just being paranoic, with no other option he took the plate that give in rather easily, the lectern did nothing the moment the object was lifted nor Kyo hear a mechanism or anything similar.
"That was..."
"Disappointing?" The spirit interrupted
"I was going to say anticlimactic but yeah... Disappointing works too"
With the plate on hand and seemingly no traps nor those vine/tentacle things around the man turn around and went back to Amelie and Aoi, hopefully with this they'll have a clue at what is this place or at least what was the signal that the girl's digivice catch or why wasn't working.
After some minutes walking he was back to the other room where Amelie and Aoi where. "Guess who's back?" He ask with a smirk on his face. "Hope you like translating frog because I got something interesting on the other room" He show the plate that brought from the other room

From her perspective, Amelie thought she understood both Kyosuke and Aoi just a little bit more, even if that was by displaying a side of her that seldom manifested itself. Truth was that she didn't like letting it out, but… it wasn't like a person purposefully decided to feel anger, frustration, or distress. Having a negative reaction to adverse conditions was only natural, after all.
At least that small chat had managed to brighten the brunette's mood. Her expression gradually transformed into a small smile as she waved off the Otamamon's apology. “That's fine. There's no need to apologize. I'd have done the same if I were you, to be honest.”
That much was true. Amy was seldom the type that didn't voice her thoughts on any given matter, despite the consequences those might carry. On the other side, Aoi's own past was a bit… depressing. “Must've been harsh. Spending your life in servitude might as well not be called life at all.” At least that was no more, and it seemed that the digimon was living way better at the moment. “If it helps any, I do consider you a dear friend.”
Amelie gently patted the tadpole's head. Even in her naivety, she seemed like a precious being, that could also be very brave to boot.
By now, only one question lingered in the air; how was Kyosuke's foray into the next room going? Luckily, the duo would get that question answered very soon! Especially considering that, mere instants afterward, the boy returned to their chamber.
“Any luck?” Considering the plate he had gotten, the question pretty much answered itself. Another thing for Aoi to read. What would it say?
This one would be a bit tougher for the little frog. Rather than sentences, the mysterious item would be a map of sorts this time. Where was it pointing? Rather than an exact location, it seemed like a vague spot, somewhere in the western section of the Binary Archipelago. Why it led there, or what was the purpose of the map wasn't explained.
And, as that information was deciphered, Amy just maintained an expectant expression. The ultimate goal of the risks they've taken would be worth it, right? Or at least interesting.

The little frog smile seeing that Amy was feeling better and accept her apology and even told her that it was one of her dear friends, that make Aoi's smile grew bigger giggling and jumping around Amelie her excitement impossible to hide, any kind of positive reinforcement fills the heart of the frog with happiness.
"I wouldn't say it was bad... I mean until I met Jazz and we develop our friendship I never question the lifestyle so I guess it wasn't bad?" Aoi wasn't sure to be honest, how can you say that the only lifestyle you knew was bad? "But I can say that I really love my new life, I haven't done much yet but I've met my very first humans and I got to explore a cave! That's the most exciting thing I've done in like... For ever!" Otamamon kept jumping happily
Then Kyosuke came back with a Plate and a proud smile on his face, Aoi got closer an inspect the symbols trying to read them, it was a little harder than the last time as it wasn't just words and sentences it looked more like a map? Hard for her to tell since she rarely went out of her jungle but it seemed to point to the binary archipielago
"Well... Not much I can do here... I'm not good reading maps" The little frog confessed "Not going to lie it does sound like our adventure has just begun!"
"But it does mean that we can left this place" He extended his hand to Amelie and gave her a smile "Can you stand up or do you want me to carry you again?
Wether they leave this place or not that'll be on the French girl, as for Kyosuke he feels he already did enough and they got map for their next adventure or just Amelie's next adventure, after this little experience the man realize that he needs a little more power, he wonders if the vines are still on the other side? That could be a problem but surely they can handle it now that they know what's ahead

Ultimately, the brunette wasn't quite sure on how to answer Aoi's query. She would lie if she said she hadn't thought about but she hadn't arrived to a solid conclusion on the matter.
Was it really that bad to show weakness?
“I… think it is. At least, most of the time.” She concluded, a small sigh escaping her lips. “It may sound a bit dumb, but… have you ever looked up to somebody?”
She made a small pause. “When others do, they kinda expect an example; a leader. Somebody who will show resolve in the face of a fire event or situation. In a sense, they idealize you a bit.”
A leader wasn't allowed to show weakness, least they risked the collapse of an entire group.
“And you want to live up to that. To show them that their trust wasn't misplaced. You avoid showing your shortcomings as much as you can, and before you knew it, you're convinced they aren't there anymore. At least until reality reminds you they are as real as they've always been.”
Was that a little too deep? Would she even understand her words? She wasn't really sure, but explaining her way of thinking had contributed to her peace of mind, at least.
The tadpole's own reasoning behind why Kyosuke felt so frustrated about the whole deal made sense. In the end, everyone had overstepped their boundaries just a bit. Was it okay for her to apologize to him when her reaction had been genuine? A pretty big question mark, even though the answer became write clear pretty soon.
She was pretty happy about the fact that Aoi's life had gotten a turn for the better, however. But, before she could make any further remarks about it, Kyo returned, and body brought a pretty interesting piece of information with him to boot.
“I guess our trip had just begun, then. I'm not sure about you all, buuut… I think we have earned our rest for the day. And maybe a smoothie; that'd be nice.”
It was definitely on a whim, but that wasn't too bad. Before their plans could be fulfilled, however, there was one last thing for Amelie to do.
Both for her, and in the face of the proposal she had just gotten. “Hey, Kyo.” A bit of an awkward pause ensued. “I'm sorry; I was… a bit of a bitch with you just before, wasn't I?”
That was the hardest part, at least. “And I shouldn't have. I lost my composure and panicked a bit; but you weren't at fault for that. In fact, I don't… know. I don't know what would've happened if both you and Aoi weren't there when I needed you.”
She smiled a bit at her confession. Despite what she had told the Otamamon moments before, right now was when she felt the most vulnerable. “I'll try to prevent that from happening again. I promise.”
Enough of that, however. Amy had enough sentimentalism for a week or so. “Let's leave this place. I honestly don't want to remain in here anymore.”
The teenager tried to stand up, and realized she could walk… well, a bit. Her rhythm was pretty unstable, and that made her reach the natural conclusion. “Can you lend me your shoulder for a sec? At least if you don't mind being my crutch!”
Maybe that would a good way for the previous, relaxed atmosphere to return. “I guess I owe you a pair of favors by now, don't I?”
It would be a bit slow but the trio would eventually exit the cave without further inconvenience. No further perils awaited any of them… for now, that is.
Time was the only one able to tell what was in store for them.

The little frog look curiously tilting her head as Amy talk, it was a little hard for the Otamamon to follow but it seemed that she understood, at least the looking up to somebody part, everyone on the clan looked up to the Tonosama Gekomon and now she really look up to Kyosuke and Amelie, she can understand a little trying to not show weakness so those who admire you don't get disappointed yet at the same time everyone has short comings, right?
"I think I understand..." Said Aoi softly. "But you don't need to worry, in my eyes you can do no wrong, I will never be disappointed!" She said happily
Kyo came back little after that so he didn't catch up what they were talking, nor that he care that much what he cared was the plate and once that was translated and with the promise of a future adventure he was ready to go, a small chuckle coming from him to the proposition of the smoothie, he did not expect Amy to apologize tho.
"No need to apologize, I'm use to be treated like that and besides I'm at fault too" He admitted "I'm a jerk I don't socialize so I don't know what to do or what people expect me to do on these situations, I'm sorry if I was pushing you a little"
Well it seems that she was truly and deeply sorry, better to accept it and let her rest, the quicker they forget about this adventure and what happen the better, they must be thankful that they are able to escape and tell the tale.
"No owing favors, I would say we are even, you help me find my way to the human world when I landed and now I help you here" Kyo wasn't the kind of man that like to owe favors or be owed favors, specially between friends although maybe friends is still a strong word. "So you owe me nothing, the frog on the other hand I'm pretty sure she would love to spend sometime with you she'll learn more from you than for me that's for sure"
"I would love to get to know you a little more, that'll be enough to pay me!" Aoi made a pause thinking for some seconds "Although... If you can take me to the human world or show me something from your world that would be nice too!"
The trio kept talking while making their way back to the entrance of the cave, Kyo make sure to hold Amy and help her walk back, fortunately they didn't meet anymore of those annoying tendrils and made it to the car safe and sound, a little fear on Kyo's eyes as to leave Amy driving but hopefully nothing bad will happen.
