Ultimately, Sasha's plan seemed to be as good as any. Amelie herself didn't mind others accompanying her on her ventures... on the surface, at least! Truth was that, while not somebody overly exigent, there were a couple of conditions that any would-be companion had to be aware of. "Well, if you wanna stick around you're more than welcome; I wouldn't mind showing you the ropes. But." A sip of tea interrupted her sentence for a couple of seconds. "What we do is private. I don't like threats or corny phrases like 'snitches get stitches', but I have my own flavor of it, in case you wanna hear it!"
Was she sounding giddy at something so... not worthy of it. This girl was undoubtedly weird. "Let's just say that if anything that wasn't meant to be shared gets out, the sliminess won't be optional." Her serious tone was dispelled as soon as the implied threat was uttered. "Sounds pretty neat, doesn't it? If it weren't a phrase worthy of some sect or something, it'd make a pretty good slogan, I think."
No matter the answer, the brunette would smile right after. "In any case, welcome to our small organization! I'll make sure to introduce you to the rest of the group once we gather; they're mostly nice girls, so I'm sure you'll fit right in! Oh, and Souji. He's a good guy, even if a bit awkward."
Luckily, it seemed that everyone was pretty respectful when telling Akemi that 'Girls can't love girls' was a mostly erroneous remark. The good thing was that the girl was recognizing her mistake; that was always good! "Y'know, Kemi. If I didn't know better... I'd say that you might be in for a surprise. Who knows!"
Her words were quite cryptic. Was she implying something? Or just speaking in riddles because she wanted to seem like a mysterious person? In any case, that topic would be eventually left behind as well. And they would finally tread on what was important. Like trying to not get demolished by potential rivals before the city could stand on its own.
"Plan's rather simple. Make others think our city is legit; and if, after talking to them they still think our city isn't legit, we blow them up. Of course, that's just the last resort; I'd rather have the people involved ask really nicely first, and then only after all other options have been exhausted, resort to lethal force. Any questions?"
That explanation had been a bit on the nonchalant side, but it was more or less on point! "I won't participate on that endeavor; at least not directly. Since pretty much seventy-five percent of our manpower will be focused on that task, somebody has to make sure everything else is running smoothly. And act as a control tower of sorts, if that makes any sense."
Probably needlessly convoluted, but at least for her, it made sense.
