Naps are lovely, truth be told. They're among the delicacies that most, if not all, should strive to possess and undergo as often as humanely possible. However, like most things that aren't inherently malignant, they had to come to an end. For Mae, that time soon came. She didn't know how long she had been out, just that she had been fighting something beforehand and passed out after shooting it. A lot. The Meicoomon let out a yawn that also sounded like it was intermixed with a "Meiiiii...", not seeming to notice she was in a form she had detested beyond anything else she had ever met, yet. She also didn't know where this Trailmon was heading or how she got there...Just that wherever it was, it was kind of warm. Whitest Night

Having finally parted ways with Hideo and Kuki, now all that remained was to wait until they reached the fated "Railmon Terminal". Jodie had to wonder, were these Railmon's Digimon too? Everything that was seemed to have their species name end with the suffix -mon. By now the girl had managed to calm down as she noticed the huge change in scenery and the occasional friendly looking Digmon that boarded the train and got off....Was her stop the last or something? Either way, looking out the window and seeing plains and forests and the slowly approaching city like location, Jodie couldn't help but feel more relieved.
"It....really still seems like everything that happened was all just a dream you know?" She spoke suddenly, Shiro Nox looked up at her as she sat beside her, tilting her head in a questioning manner.
"I mean...This place...and there was so different and such different creatures...there being a city...really feels like something gotten from an anime or something." She pondered out loud.
"A knee may...? A knee may what?"
Suddenly the sleeping beauty that was the Meicoomon on the opposite seat was finally waking up, causing Shiro to startle slightly, but Jodie simply went for it with a smile.
"Mae? Good morning sleepy head." She spoke warmly and in a friendly manner, placing her hand on her head and petting it.

Mae had heard some things while she was coming to. She wasn't really about to question them or anything. But, the cat yawned again. "...It's morning? How...long was I out...?" The Meicoomon said, rubbing her head against Jodie's hand before she realized that she was, in fact, in the form she loathed the most right now.
She promptly covered herself using her feeler-scarves. "...Excuse this, sorry." The cat mumbled. Yet, she didn't really feel like dedigivolving either...Maybe once they had actually got off the train.
"What did I do? Uh...Are Hideo and Kuki okay...? A-Are you two okay?"

"It has been a few hours at most. Welcome back to being awake, Mae." Shiro answered as seemed to loosen up her guard, seeing as Mae had her head again in it's proper place. That was quite a relief as it would have caused problems if she still felt murderous overall. Jodie smiled a little and shook her head to try and reassure the small fluff ball wouldn't be upset.
"N-No no it's okay, you're very cute Mae." Jodie complimented, her hand still on her head as she seemed a bit into petting the soft fur on her, so much so Shiro had to tug on her suit's sleeve to try and get her to relax as she figured Mae might want a little bit of space after waking up from a fight, which she did.
"S-Sorry, didn't mean to let my hand overstay it's welcome." She smiled, giggling lightly. Despite how different these Digimon beings were, they were still...cute and despite there being a few bad apples she knew there were good like Mae. When she asked about Hideo and Kuki, Jodie froze up momentarily before nodding.
"Y-Yes they are alright, they already got off the train before us, they didn't want to wake you up since you looked so comfortable." She said, not even sure about that last one, but sure as hell hoped it was so.
"We are well and good as well, not as shaken up now that the skies have cleared and we are out of that mean place." She added.
"As for what you did...You saved us Mae. For that we are grateful."
"Ah, yes! You did, it was very nice of you. Thank you."

"Oh. Um. Thanks. I'm not really that cute, though..." After the battle had ended, Mae's appearance seemed to have changed back to that of a regular Meicoomon. No huge mane or anything. She didn't really resist being petted or anything but she wasn't necessarily rubbing her head against Jodie's hand anytime soon.
"...I bet they actually got off because of me being this." ...Did Mae actually see the truth behind how Kuki was acting back in the Dark Area? Maybe. "It's good that you're fine, though...I don't think I saved anyone but...okay." She then turned her attention to Shiro. Fully. "...You're her partner, aren't you? Sorry to have...helped in making you being born be a bit rowdy...I'm Mae."

"I think you are!" Jodie answered the rather troubled looking Digimon, she could start to tell that Mae didn't seem comfortable in this form...But since she grew up she couldn't quite go back to her previous form, right? No, that would be wrong, Kuki did mention they can change, so why wasn't Mae changing now? Was there some sort of condition attached to it? Possibly... But then Mae's words unfortunately made Jodie a little sad. This poor girl was being discriminated against because of this form of hers?
"And whatever could be wrong with you being like this? You saved us and helped us Mae, don't put yourself down like this...There is nothing wrong with you or with how you look okay?" Jodie spoke sincerely, her motherly instincts and her desire to help rising, wanting Mae to not be so harsh on herself. She wanted her to accept herself better. Just because she may have been scary doesn't mean she has bad intentions.
"No need to apologize Mae, it was because I was born that I was able to help in whatever small way I could." She telepathed with a smile, being able to tell Jodie wanted to make Mae happy, so she joined in as well.
"You're practically Shiro's second mother!" Jodie joked, giggling lightly.
"Thank you Mother. Where will you be going once we reach the final stop?"

"...Meicoomon only harm. They're a pestilence. A time bomb." Mae mumbled. It's almost like she was reciting something she had learned a long time ago. However, Mae could see that she was probably making Jodie and/or Shiro uncomfortable. This was something that she did not want in the slightest. "...I'm sorry that I'm like this. I really am."
...Oh geez, was she really basically Shiro's second mother? That was odd. "Uhhh...Oh geez, I think I'm like...way too young to be a mom. Inexperienced, too. Uh. As to where I'll be going...I don't know. I never really have destinations in mind when I set out for things. But my main goal is to get Jodie home." The Meicoomon explained, before she put a hand over her heart, a bright light consuming her briefly before a silver-haired, starry-eyed girl took the place of the Meicoomon.
"To that end, I even have a Holosuit in case I need to go to the Human World." Mae continued, a hand idly moving to pat Shiro on the head.

The words that came out of the small Champion Digimon really hit Jodie hard, was she really so bent on her being bad just because of the sort of Digimon species she was? Had she been bullied into believing this..?
"Mae...just because you happen to be a certain type of Digimon doesn't mean you are like all of them! We are all what we make ourselves to be...and even if life deals us a hand that is hard to live with, we work past our own negative points and make ourselves to be who we want to be...It may be hard but! You have us to help when we can!" Jodie encouraged, she really didn't seem like she would back off from this, she wasn't uncomfortable at all, she was determined to make Mae like herself! At least just a little bit.
"You're not like whatever others there may be, and I'm sure there are some who are nice like you! But believe me...you are nothing like those words you chose. You aren't a pestilence, you're not a time bomb, and you haven't harmed me or Shiro! Mae you are...A wonderful Digimon, who's super sweet, caring and courageous...even if you may believe yourself to be dangerous I will always believe in the good in you. Never apologize for being yourself!" Jodie answered with a smile.
Shiro couldn't help but admire her partner behaving in such a strong way, determined for the good of another and so purely seeking for Mae to value herself more. She could see that Jodie was really full of love and goodness...Shiro..she wanted to protect that beautiful soul before her. The kind Jodie...she didn't want anything to ever come to hurt her in any way...She would protect her no matter the cost.
Either way as her second mother began to speak Shiro nodded in acknowledgement. She appreciated the sentiment in attempting to bring them to the station.
"At times one must do things they normally do not do for their age, Mother." She telepathed, strangely finding it fun to call her mother. However the moment she placed her hand on her chest, a strange light covered her....Jodie and Shiro flinched as they covered their eyes and suddenly before them sat...A short white haired girl..Who began petting Shiro's head, which she allowed, however not without asking.
"Mae...?"
"You were a girl! Wait but you were a Digimon but now...A Human? Eh?"
"M...Mother how did you do this? I've never seen a Digimon turn into a Human..." Shiro questioned quite curiously...she tried pressing her small nub hand onto her chest but...nothing.
"You called it a Holosuit...? Like a disguise?"
"Ah...that would make sense....However such a potential, how did you unlock it?"

...Why did everyone want to dispute facts? The inevitable? What did this human have to care about? "I'm really just trying my best. Though my best is..." She gave a shrug. Here and there. Everywhere. Sporadic. Inconsistent. Moreover, she had forgotten that not everyone knew what a holosuit was.
Much less a newborn Digimon and a girl who had fallen from the sky. "It's something you buy at Terminus. I had my friend get it for me and...it's useful. Helps me move around the Human World without much trouble. Though I do get some weird looks from time to time..." Her eyes were the same starry eyes that were consistent with a Meicoomon's, and her hair was a silvery color. "What I did was just activate it. You don't need to worry about that for now."
A brief period of silence. "...Also are you going to keep calling me Mother? It's...kind of awkward. I'm not even that old yet..."

It seemed like unfortunately for Jodie the conversation shifted too fast for her to try and respond to her continuous self hate, and for now she allowed it to shift, mainly because she felt it would be too awkward to squeeze in for now, but Mae should take heed.
Jodie will remember that.
That aside, Shiro seemed to be quite interested in this appliance that could allow her to change appearance at will to match a human. She figured it would be safe for her to be out of the Digital World and with Jodie if she had one. As Mae spoke, Shiro seemed to nod in agreement, seeing how useful this could be in allowing her to protect Jodie even while in the outside.
"Jodie...I believe it would be imperative of us to acquire one of thee Holosuits."
"They do sound convenient don't they? I wonder what sort of human you'd be Shiro! Just as cute I hope." Jodie smiled, petting Shiro's head gently, despite the teasing, Shiro couldn't help but nuzzle the same hand while blushing lightly.
"I-I should be treated with more respect. I feel like a child..." Shiro retorted seemingly bashfully as her partner pampered her.
"You are one silly."
After a small period of silence, the team now within the city by now, Shiro and Jodie looked outside the windows, both amused by the landscape having so drastically changed from terror island to happy plains to futuristic city.
"Ah if it bothers you then I can stop Mae. T'was only in jest after all." She let out a small noiseless giggle.
"Hey Shiro...How come you cannot speak?"
"Hm..It is a strange impairment I have, however speech through the mind is acceptable, no?"
"N-No it's okay! I was just curious." Jodie smiled, so she was mute then rather than it being a choice. She understood, just had to explain that to her family when she managed to get one of these suits.
"We'll get one of those Holosuits in the future. We'll have to come back here in my free time....ah It seems we are reaching the end now!" Jodie spoke as indeed the Trailmon they had been boarding had finally reached it's destination. An announcement made that this would be it's final stop for this track.
"Hey Mae...we should meet again when I come back! It would be nice to hang out and I can bring some sweets! I think you'd like them." Jodie smiled sincerely.

"Yeah, it would be kind of convenient to have one." Mae admitted, it was interesting being able to walk around as an...almost human. She glanced down to Shiro and shrugged. "Well, you -are- kind of a child at the moment. It'll definitely change soon but...that's how it is."
It be like that sometimes. "...That might just be a thing on your end. You do have telepathy...Or something like it? Anyways...Um. Train's almost there. I would indeed like to see you again soon. Perhaps under better circumstances." The announcement confirmed that this was where they had to part ways for now. But...Mae did feel like she helped somehow. Someway.
It was kind of a nice feeling. "There should be a path to the Trailmon bound for Roppongi Hills...Otherwise, my job here's at an end, I think."

With that, Jodie took a stand off of the seat, followed by Shiro, who kept close to her after fluttering down the seat with many flaps of her small wings.
"I could always telepath and move my mouth to make it seem like I am talking." Shiro commented, to which Jodie simply giggled, hiding her mouth behind her hand politely.
"That would be a bit too confusing, but I think we can just say you happen to be mute. I don't know how well my parents would take you being able to talk with your mind." Jodie responded, leaning down slightly to pet her head affectionately and then motioned towards Mae in her human form and pet her head as well.
"Thanks for the help Mae. I mean it. You did good. I hope we will be able to see each other again!" Jodie smiled, Shiro nodding in agreement.
"It would be nice to see you once again Mae. Until then, do take care." Shiro added, smiling adorably. Probably more adorable and less elegant than she would have hoped.
In the end with a farewell, they hopped off the Trailmon...and as Mae said, there was a train bound for Roppongi Hills. Not too far from home she thought to herself. She picked up Shiro, who was surprised by this and as she carried her in her arms, she took the train bound for the Human World, waving goodbye to Mae through the window with a smile...One day she would convince her.
Exited.

Mae remained quiet for a long while as Shiro and Jodie seemed to continue to converse and befriend each other. It was like watching paint dry as a flower bloomed, albeit...much quicker and way less boring. The girl even spaced out, briefly, before she snapped back to reality in all but an instant upon being addressed.
She...did good. Did she really? That question had weighed on her head a little bit as Jodie and Shiro began to depart. And Mae found herself running towards them to give them a quick, awkward, but honest-to-god heartfelt hug, before she ran back onto the train as the door closed.
Goodbye, for now.
