Thankfully, the Palmon had long since been able to slip away, thanks to Cion's distraction.
Had this attack been unleashed in a more populated area, there would have likely been more hell to pay - but for the moment, Cion's defense was solid. The wake of flames and the outer reaches of the explosion would still manage to briefly envelop her frame, but not enough to fully incapacitate the smaller Digimon - and the third spear would strike solidly, right against the Chaosdramon's chest. By this point, the machine was wise as to what was going on: each spear hit lowered its already abysmal speed, alerts constantly brought up on its display about some sort of electrical current.
No more. Standing in the field of poison, the Chaosdramon's body gave an audible click, the red grid-like structure on its body moving one 'cycle'. Following this, a deep, red pulse radiated around the beast, the two older Ethereal Javelins dissipating into nothing but trash data, the arrow stuck in its neck snapping off at the head. Whatever light damage the environment had done to its frame also vanished outright.
Chaosdramon wasn't known as the king of defense, for nothing. That said, this technique seemed to require some focus: though his gaze remained intent on the Arniomon, its weapons did not move into position, naught but a tense growl given as he tracked his target, a tense glow reflecting off the back of its left claw. "M-hm-hm..."
And another one there, and another one there... whatever the Arukenimon was doing, she was hard at work, sinking needle after needle into tree after tree. It didn't take long for her to cover a rough circle behind her, as well as a few of the trees on the main battlefield, closest to herself.
Well, nothing like a spider to enjoy making a nest...
Chaosdramon uses System Reset. The effect of Defensive Grid is doubled. Arukenimon continues to use Spirit Needle.

Floating above the vitiated remnants of the former treetops that used to grace this radiant glade, Cion carefully observed the defensive stance her titanic adversary temporarily assumed. Usually, she would have let out a sigh of relief due to the brief moment of respite and having outlasted a fell attack, but the last thing she intended to do was give the Chaosdramon a quarter by admitting a deep breath. Not a single inch was tolerated to be taken lest she had to fear losing the entire continent - a sentiment typical for mindless fiends such as the crimson reptile of metal and wires. Given its hightened defenses and the time unwillingly granted, the unleashed Arniomon considered a direct assault a big waste. No - to vanquish her opponent, despite it having excellent armor and constitution, she had to bestow upon herself every conceivable advantage. Nodding firmly and releasing another ethereal javelin, she rapidly returned to the ground. The aureate flash naturally avoided the area corrupted by the organic rocket and created a modest amount of distance between herself and the enslaved machine. Might as well avoid some claws and force it to get up close and personal if it wanted to achieve a victory. As she landed, Cion nudged the soil beneath her with her ablaze feet, causing it to almost instantly transform in a large, circular zone around her. As if tended by mother nature, the natural flora enveloped by her essence blossomed out, showing the peak of its beauty and colorful radiance. It was an answer converse to the synthetic dragon's previous onset of devastation. When it was only capable of destruction, she desired to guard and foster what was incapable of defending itself. She was obviously not a perfect paragon, but she never did anything less unyieldingly than strive towards transcendence. As if her aspirations and devotion manifested themselves, a brilliant sheen veiled the incandescent beast - golden fires and primordial matter entwining with iridescent protection. Though small and nimble, it was crystal clear that she was not fragile. On the contrary... she was adamantine. "Round 2?" OOC: Kinda rushing tonight, sorry.
The shot was ready, and her opponent static. She couldn't ask for much more in a battle situation, so she took her opportunity. With that armor, it was a waste of energy to go for the main body. It was too solid, to the point it still diminished damage despite her having marked it. So she had to circumvent it. The arrow flew, sailing through trees and leaves as it zoomed in towards the metallic dragon's eye socket. Compared to her usual practice targets- that is, flies- it was a downright massive target.
Fladramon was in the scene. Owlmon's visor had confirmed it. Grinning wide at how much more manageable the job had just gotten (for him), there was a short second and a familiar sensation in the mind link as the third and final member of the convo was joined in. 'Communications established! Flamey is here, boss!' 'You are late.' 'Yeah yeah- Have you seen the place? There's punks all over the place. I could barely find you guys!' 'Don't mind her, Flamey. She's irritable after messing up her super duper shot.' 'The Boss? Screwing a shot? Losing your touch or something, bossmon?' 'Shut it. I was caught off guard by an unseen Arukenimon and forced to release it early. Speaking of whom; Owlmon, Fladramon. Eliminate the Arukenimon. She's an unknown; and I do not care for such elements in my battlefield.' 'Roger that, boss!' 'The little game...? Ugh. Got it. Where is she, Owlmon?' 'Closer to you than the Boss. I'll show you a graphic of her position. She's keeping her space from the main battlefield. Throwing 'round some needles. Would love to take my time to analyze them... but I'm sort of busy at the moment.' 'Oh? Actually doing some field work for once? How come~?' 'Maybe if someone hadn't been late to the party I wouldn't have to get inv-' ' Silence. Move out!' ' Roger Boss!' 'Yeah yeah, got it. I'll approach first, Owly. You know what to do.'
A fireball suddenly flew in front of the Arukenimon from the side, exploding into a swiftly and carelessly spreading mass of flames. If the dragon cared at all for the environment or the forest in particular, he certainly didn't show it as he approached the other digimon, swath of flames covering the ends of all four of his limbs. His steps left blazing footsteps which consumed the grass around them as fuel, one of his arms hanging at his side lazily while the other remained outstretched towards her. "Hey there." He said casually,, making a show of looking her up and down. "Can I just say, love the style? Always liked stylish red suits." He said as he made a show of making his fire blaze hotter, grinning flirtatiously at her. "Can't say I care for humans, tho." He shouted as he charged at her, leaping at her while swinging his fiery leg in a downward arc, a fiery axe kick swinging down at her. Owlmon took this as his chance to attack from the shadows. The first step of Midnight Clutch complete, he couldn't ask for much better than an actual physical distraction. Watching sharply for the Arukenimon's reaction, he soared down without so much of a sound. Invisible, lacking in odor, incapable of making a sound, he was virtually a ghost as he sought to slash his talons deep into the Arukenimon.
TL;DR: -Sagittarimon's passive, Hold Fire, allows her to add an additional effect to her attack- in this case, Sniper's Shot. The effect for this move is simply hyper enhanced accuracy, stacking along with every other accuracy both already on her. -Fladramon confronts and attacks Arukenimon. -Owlmon's Midnight Clutch completely masks his presence on a visual, auditory, and olfactory level on the first post. On the second, that is this one, he attacks- the attack has an effect if it lands. Read Spoilers for effect. He attacked while looking at Arukenimon's reaction to Fladi's own attack, to properly follow through.
Owlmon Relevant Passives Mission Control Owlmon possesses highly powerful telepathic capabilities, and is not only capable of communicating by directly speaking to the mind, but also of linking a large number of minds together, creating a perfect communication network that cannot be breached. He is capable of immediately detecting and ejecting uninvited intruders, and can even share his own senses/perception with the members of the mind link.
Infrared Eye Owlmon's visor allows him to perceive the world through a plethora of different wavelengths, and his evolved eyesight can see with perfect clarity up to 5 km even in complete darkness.
Visor's Scanner While in a combat situation, Owlmon's visor automatically keeps track of all targets that have crossed its line of sight, keeping track of them through an energy signature system. For every Post in which Owlmon does not utilize his attack action, a single ability of every target scanned so far is revealed to Owlmon.
Precision Work Grants a 30% boost to the precision and accuracy of up to three individuals linked to his telepathic Network.
Active ability Midnight Clutch Owlmon doesn't really care much for getting upclose and personal with his targets, and when he does find himself forced to get within melee range with one, expect it to be in the most cowardly and risk-free way possible: Backstabbing. A two-step move, Midnight Clutch's first phase consists of Owlmon utilizing his mastery of stealth to modify his data and blend in with the environment, erasing his energy signature and scent completely on the first post. On the second post, he moves in for the kill on a unsuspecting opponent, striking while their back is turned to him with his talons. Should this move land successfully, the enemy has their first 2 Passive abilities and their effects sealed for the next two posts. [3 Post Cooldown]
Sagittarimon Relevant Passives Meteor Gallop Sagittarimon's top galloping speed is such that she appears as little more than a blur to the naked eye, and she's fleet footed enough to achieve top speed in less than a second, allowing her to quickly move from one vantage point to the next before her target can even guess where she is. Basically, Sagittarimon is incredibly fast, even by the standards of Mega level digimon.
True Sniper Sagittarimon can nail a mosquito to a tree without killing it from a 5 kilometer distance, and in fact, her attacks are stronger the farther she's away from her opponent, receiving a 30% power boost to all shooting attacks realized from over 1km away from her target.
Marked for Death Sagittarimon chooses a target; her attacks against this target gain a massive boost in accuracy and ignore passive forms of damage reduction. Once a target has been marked, she cannot mark another until it has been killed. In order to mark a target, she must hit it first.
Hold Fire Sagittarimon can charge any attack for one post in order to add a special side effect to it on top of the regular ones.
Active ability Sniper's Shot Sagittarimon's Bread and Butter. Reach into the quiver, produce arrow, shoot at target. Deals good damage and has the impressive range she's known for; a good choice for providing support to an ally engaged in melee. Hold Fire effect: Increases accuracy to an impressive degree.
Fladramon Relevant Passives [Epsilon Orionis]
When exerting his full strength, Fladramon's flames can reach temperatures above 20,000 °K, equal to the surface of a blue supergiant star, effectively making them weapons of mass destruction. The searing heat of these flames makes even preternatural resistances to damage completely ineffective against them, making passive forms of damage reduction completely ineffective against them.
Engines of War
Like a rusty war machine, Fladramon requires a few tests rounds before bringing himself fully up to speed. As the fight rages on and on, his flames burn hotter and his reflexes grow sharper. Once every post, Fladramon's attacking power grows by 1/10 should he take offensive action, stacking up to 5 times for a 50% maximum increase. Once he gets the engine going, he cannot stop until the battle is over, for if even a single post is spent not attacking, the stacks are dropped immediately and must be started from zero.
Active Ability Knuckle Fire
Fladramon's bread and butter. Encompasses any fire charged physical or ranged move he might go for. Can be as simple as a fire punch, as numerous as a flurry of fireballs, and as brutal as grabbing someone by the face and superheating his palms until their face burns right off. If it fails to hit the intended target, the cooldown is ignored. [1 Post cooldown]
Active Buffs: Owlmon +30% Accuracy [Precision Works]
Sagittarimon +30% Accuracy [Precision Works] +30% Power [True Sniper] +++Accuracy & Ignore Defensive passives vs Chaosdramon [Marked for Death] +++ Sniper's Shot Accuracy [Hold Fire]

Give a passive stance, and one shall be received, apparently.
While the Chaosdramon rooted himself to heal, the Arniomon curiously did not take the effort to try and one-up the metallic menace, instead opting to conveniently come back into mid-range, his metallic eyes tracking the cat-like Digimon through her entire travel. Was he being underestimated? By this point, he was used to the Ethereal Javelin, a well-timed flick of his right claw forcing it off-target with little effort. It seemed that such a non-committal attack would no longer work on the Chaosdramon, so long as he was paying attention.
That said, Cion seemed more insistent in setting up a defensive position. Curious, was that her own field of battle? Then the machine would respond to her query, clicking both of the cannons on his shoulder into place, trained right on the Arniomon's position. Already, both of them were lit up with a fierce, crimson light, ready to lay waste to everything in its path -
"GRAURGH!"
Damn it, what was that? A heavy arrow struck against its right eye - not throwing off its aim, but momentarily throwing off its vision systems! Bah, no time to worry about that: without skipping a beat, the Giga-Death Cannon roared out, an impressively powerful and wide beam of energy tearing forth - not only capable of tearing straight through the Garden of Eden, but cutting a wide ditch in the forest behind her as well. And Cion was the direct center of the beast's aim! "Mmhm... mm?"
Oh, what a fright! The Arukenimon gave a short step back, distancing herself from the worst of the flames as the Fladramon slid into position. At that casual flirt, she both grit her teeth, and gave a short chuckle, folding her palms at a slight angle as if to act like a homely woman: "Well, if you want, hot-stuff, I can change into something more comfortable..."
The Owlmon's strike was well-timed: a powerful talon aimed to strike right at the spider ultimate's back. Timed with Fladramon's swing, it was a perfect and silent counter.
But, unfortunately, this Arukenimon knew the game.
Perhaps those needles shouldn't have been ignored. Each and every tree in the surrounding area - or at least those marked by the needles - were tracking Owlmon's position like a silent radar. The Arukenimon played dumb - painfully so - in an effort to lure the bird closer. And now that the bird was in position, right behind her? Well, she gave a step to her right, and forced the entire weight of her right arm down on her left palm.
Intent on driving her left elbow right into the Owlmon's face.
Sure, that same left arm might take the brunt of Fladramon's axe-kick a moment later, but an Owlmon attacking at full-speed, meeting the pointed elbow of an ultimate-level slam would not end well, if it connected.
Chaosdramon uses 'Giga Death Cannon'. Arukenimon's 'Spirit Needle' is revealed to be a sensory effect.

Alas, it seemed assaulting the Chaosdramon from afar with ethereal javelins was no longer a viable option. However, they, including the one that continued to impede its systems, had accomplished what Cion had wanted from them. Even if she had to continue her personal war of attrition through other means, they had sufficed to steadily wear her opponent down as to assure it was not at top condition. The arrows of light severely damaging the reptilian machine from a safe distance had added to these efforts, assuring that the hulking beast would fall eventually. Calmly observing it charging up a powerful attack, it was this very moment of vision impediment she utilized to dodge the incoming, massive beam of evisceration. Similar to an aureate flash the incandescent ascendant dashed towards the tree tops again as she observed the swath of destruction left behind by the enslaved android. The ruined glade was a sight that both disgusted and enraged the vulpine sentinel to her core, regarding such senseless violence as the essence of everything that was wrong with this depraved world. The D-Reaper was the avatar of this mindless vitiosity. Bearing her teeth, the unleashed Arniomon briefly watched as the Garden of Eden slowly integrated itself into parts of the created aisle of soil and ash, remaining intact as it was fueled by the apex digimon's energy and not the life force of the nearby surroundings. Golden eyes swayed to the titanic, crimson Ultimate, gazes of murderous frenzy from varying origins meeting. Though attempting to keep her composure, the ancient soul started to feel odium to creep into her mind. Even if she had to dedicate her entire existence to wiping out the red parasite, she was disposed to do just that. "Begone." She exclaimed as she repeated an ability that had proven effective in the past. Unleashing a storm of downs, these projectiles of primordial matter once more rapidly danced around the monstrous construct. Seeking to rend its armor permanently, Cion nodded and kept a confident, almost mocking stance. If her adversary had any intelligence, it would realize that she could simply return to her conjured zone to protect herself. Perhaps it had an unknown move to counteract this situation, which she was quite eager to learn while her feathers ruptured its plating. Another javelin, just in case, did not hurt either Battle Log: Passive: - Numen Aeternum: Reduced Physical Strength - Increased Maximum Health, Defenses and Pain Threshhold.

There was a dull, metallic thud as the Arukenimon drove her elbow onto the Owlmon's head, clanging solidly with its helmet and drawing a surprised, shocked sqwack from the owl, its head snapping down and the rest of its body following suit, feet meeting the floor roughly with a grunt as the momentum of his previous charge plus the elbow strike kept him stumbling forward. Fladramon clicked his tongue immediately after, driving his axe kick down unto the other's opposing forearm, limb blazing as he utilized the solidity of the block as purchase, pushing down unto the arm as he went to swing the rest of his body- and channeling into a spin kick to Owlmon's side, sending the Owl's body flying away from the battle. "Stay outta the way!" he growled to his teammate as his body swung from the spinning kick. The gauntlet of his arm ignited with a jet of flames suddenly, propelling the rest of his body into yet another spin, his talons lighting up in hot white flames and becoming hot as plasma a she swung his arm wide at her chest. The area around them responded by quickly being incinerated by the heat exuded by the dragon man, tree bark darkening and greenery becoming black and dead in the wake of the dragon's reckless assault. "Just you and me, lady." He hissed out, his expression halfway between a grin and a snarl. Owlmon in the meanwhile had grunted as his body smacked across the floor, bounding off it and spreading out his wings to stop himself. That damn Fladramon...! Couldn't he think of a less painful way to get him out of trouble? The Owl grimaced at his visor, noting a few cracks along the rims, and a large amount of data informing him of the superficial damage done to the helmeted area. He couldn't believe he had allowed himself to be played like a newbie- he was so off his game tonight...!
Bullseye. After missing her best arrow before, she had been feeling in a bit of a rut- but if she could keep this up, she would be just fine. She briefly considered giving the two stooges a call to see how they were going... but they were professionals, despite how they acted. She was certain they could deal with this one their own. Knocking back yet another arrow, the centauress, lined up her shot, and let it fly, aiming for where his previous shot had snapped off at the neck previously. Maybe she could sink it in to really get through that armor...!
TL;DR: -Sagittarimon's aimed another Sniper's Shot at where her previous arrow (on the neck) broke off. Robin Hood memes. -Fladramon's passive (see spoiler) allows him to string two attack actions in quick successio- utilized a kick to get Owlmon out of the dangerzone and then channeled that into Blade Drive at Arukenimon's general chest area. - The third wheel Owlmon's been kicked off the date fight.

C- C- Combo! He hasn't completely forgotten his old days as a Veemon, you know? Though these days he's a little less style, a lot more substance about his approach. This ability allows Fladramon to realize two attack actions. 2 posts must pass between each activation of C- C- Combo! Cannot be activated at the same time as Afterburner.
Active Ability Blade Drive A brutal attack intended to cleave through everything in its path like a hot knife through butter. Superheating his claws until they achieve temperatures above 40,000 °K, over twice the amount that he passively exerts, and well over the maximum temperature of constricted plasma, Fladramon can turn his claws into what is essentially a super-lightsaber, allowing him to cleave through defensive measures without letting them affect his attack's destructive power. Despite Cion's prejudice to the machine's disposition, the Chaosdramon before her was not feral: only controlled. The Machinedramon's primary cannon - and by extension, the Chasdramon's - was among the most known and famous in the Digital World. If he were raiding a city or attacking in an enclosed space, the attack would have proven devastating, but fired out in an open forest like this, was the same as announcing you were about to shoot at someone.
The question, therefore, wasn't if the attack would work, but why was it fired in the first place? As Cion would soon find out, she played right into the Chaosdramon's hand. After all, that 'Star Dust Surge' was sent soaring in his direction, a problematic attack he'd learned of in his Machinedramon form. Its momentum also meant that the Arniomon could no longer use it easily for defense - just as those blades approached, the machine's back compartments sprung open once more, the missiles once more hissing into the air, before locking right on the smaller Digimon's position.
Along with that, one wide swing of his claw would batter that javelin aside, that same armored right hand used to shield his face and neck from the blades. He had one more trick to complete this, after all, stomping closer and closer towards that 'Garden of Eden, until he was right in front of its range. Should Cion try and return, well, that entire space was well within his most effective range.
Still, he grit his teeth. That third arrow landed right next to the first, sinking much deeper than before. Truth be told, with that one, the machine was having quite a bit of trouble trying to turn his head to the right! "Tch!"
The Arukenimon knew better than to maintain contact longer than she needed to. With the Owlmon hurt and stunned, the lady gave a back-step to remove herself from the pressure of that first kick, already feeling a deep burn across her arm. And it was clear that he wasn't going to let up: as he cleared out the help, the Arukenimon cracked her neck, quickly returning to her natural form as an insect. More to the point, this made her arms much larger and more suited for blocking, able to divert that punch off to her side with a flick of her left arm - one that was now heavily burned.
"You know, spiders are like lobsters - we really don't do well with the heat." The Arukenimon grumbled, bringing both of her arms up, conjuring what looked to be two ghastly, dark, vaporous clouds - which she would lazily throw off to the side, into the woods, as she kept her focus right on the Flamedramon. "So how's about you let a poor ol' lady off easy? I even won't eat the bird!"
Log: Arukenimon uses 'The Spider Queen's Calling'. Chaosdramon uses 'Guided Missile Barrage'. He is struck by Cion's primary attack. Giga Death Cannon CD: 1/3

"Of course..." Cion whispered - a statement directed at many events simultaneously unfolding themselves in front of her aureate eyes. As to be expected, the savage slave's desire for self-preservation was minimal, allowing her downs of primordial matter to rend its armor effectively without resistance. It was strange that the Chaosdramon was so adamant on shielding itself form her javelins, but she eventually concluded that it was the D-Reaper's past experiences with her that controlled it to do so. In the end, it was of no concern. What was however was its barrage of what she soon realized were homing missiles. Rapidly returning to the Garden of Eden as to protect herself, the unleashed Arniomon was surprised to see the titanic machine so willing to approach her. Had it grasped that ranged attacks were insufficient to engage her properly? If not now, then it was its current onslaught of rockets that had to suffice for this sentiment. Though filled with pain and deafening booms, the star dust surge remigrating to her, along the zone of defense that sheltered her, did a marvelous job to thwart the damage she would have otherwise taken. For a tiny and nimble ascendant as her, she definitely had plenty of means of continuance at her disposal. While the clouds of soil and ash lingered, it became clear to the cosmic beast that this could not continue. Not because she feared exhaustion, especially with those arrows of light injuring the reptilian cyborg, but due to the fact that the destruction around her imposed anguish upon her. As a sentinel of life and prosperity, witnessing this ruin was innermost torment to her. Not afraid nor hesitant, Cion made her decision to show the fiend behind the veil of embers what powers she possessed. "Elemental Discreation!" The incandescent fennec bellowed as an incredibly violent, iridescent pulse pushed itself out of her right, open paw. As if next to a sun releasing a solar flare, twisting flashes of pure energy dashed towards the hulking construct; alongside another javelin. Carrying with them the essence of all fundamental elements, the ground beneath the Arniomon tore from force as the nearby flora waved as if caught by an ephemeral hurricane. With nothing less than her entire heart and soul she longed for the permanent relinquishment of the crimson parasite - a sensation she put into her simple yet powerful ability to slightly control the sinews that connected the joints of this reality. OOC: this is gonna be a pathetic post. Sorry guys, rushing at work.
The dragon didn't seem to think it was too much of an issue. "Sure thing, lady. Well, it's what I wish I could say. But you won't just stay out of the fight if I let you run, will ya?" He said casually, watching the clouds she sent flying with some curiosity. He wasn't too keen to find out just what exactly they were supposed to be. It would be best to end this quickly. "You are a cute one, but sadly I'll have to at least knock you out." He said, igniting his fists once more. "I'll try to not make it anything you can't fully recover from." He promised, though it didn't seem very likely, considering his methods. With a fluid motion, the fire lizard suddenly threw a sharp kick in her direction, raising a thick wall of flames that came hurtling in her direction. Another Kick came after, and a wide roundhouse finished the series, leaving the spider to deal with three walls of flames coming at her at three different angles from the front.
Bullseye yet again. If she could keep this up then maybe her unwitting companion would be able to finish the fight. She couldn't be certain of the extent her assistance had actually helped, but the other fighter didn't seem to be having too much trouble so far, and she frankly felt like attributing that fact to her stellar performance. Knocking back another arrow, the centauress narrowed her eyes, and held her breath.
TL;DR: -Sagittarimon is Holding Fire (See spoilers).-Fladramon's attacks with Fire Knuckle kicks. It makes total sense, shut up. -Owlmon didn't make an appearance cause I am friggin rushing this at work- but he is attempting to utilize his visor to analyze the clouds of Arukenimon.
Active ability Noping. Utilizing the Visor's scan.
Active ability None this turn, Hold Fire is happening.
Engines of War Like a rusty war machine, Fladramon requires a few tests rounds before bringing himself fully up to speed.
C- C- Combo! He hasn't completely forgotten his old days as a Veemon, you know? Though these days he's a little less style, a lot more substance about his approach. Mixing and matching tricks is fun and all, but two heavy blows in quick succession make for a far more effective tactic. This ability allows Fladramon to realize two attack actions. 2 posts must pass between each activation of C- C- Combo! Cannot be activated at the same time as Afterburner.
Active Ability Knuckle Fire Fladramon's bread and butter.
Sagittarimon +30% Accuracy [Precision Works] +30% Power [True Sniper] +++Accuracy & Ignore Defensive passives vs Chaosdramon [Marked for Death]
Fladramon +30% Accuracy [Precision Works] +30% Power [Engines of War] +Ignore Damage Reduction [Epsilon Orionis]

Closer... closer...
The Chaosdramon was not a daft opponent, especially not with another Super Mega as its opponent. The smaller cat might have been wearing him down - and that unseen archer in the distance was really starting to get annoying - but the metallic menace still held strong, the Star Dust Surge only now causing the crimson armor around his chest to fall away. The red grid beneath started to falter, flickering for a moment, but managed to hold, as the machine locked eyes on his victim. His prey.
And though Cion might have poised herself to let out a powerful blast, the Chaosdramon simply did not back down. Rather, the machine dug his feet in, and raised that stronger, right claw in front, before tearing forth in a powerful charge. That elemental blast would hit, right on the center of that claw, the Chaosdramon swallowed up in a maelstrom of light and dark energy as it split around him in a magnificent, lustrous bloom. Various alerts clicked on, crowding his display, but he charged forward regardless.
For all the elements held within, after all, none had significant mass. The Chaosdramon pressed forward, starting with a step, before breaking off into a full-on sprint, that widened bloom growing closer and closer. It was blunt, and it was brutal, but the moment Chaosdramon would come into range, its head breaking through that wall of wind and light, he'd raise that heated claw and try and batter down at Cion with what would amount to a glorified, vicious backhand.
He'd be sparking, hurt, and a sight for sore eyes - but, still a vicious, hungry, and determined beast. Well, the Arukenimon couldn't dodge such a complete attack, but she could sure as well take the hits. Raising those glorified arms, all three would crash over the front side of her frame, the ultimate left singed and burned, even shaking away a bit of flame on her left arm. It was true, on the elemental front, she was completely outmatched.
But, she didn't need to win on that front. The Owlmon's scan wasn't necessary, as the Fladramon would notice a skittering sound - to his left, his right, and from behind, a myriad of small spiders starting to swarm from all directions.
"Mm... you're such a flirt, I've decided that you can come into the spider's parlour, handsome." The Arukenimon chuckled - and the nearest spiders would jump, each trying to latch onto the dragon. Should any land, they'd give a fierce, poisonous bite, enough to cause severe pain to the immediate area. Not immobilizing on their own, but this was a swarm of hundreds, even still crawling out of the woodwork.
So, what would it be? Would he try and ignore the bugs, and deal with their poison, or deal with them outright...
... and add a wildfire to the chaos?
Log: Arukenimon's 'Spider Queen's Calling' effect is revealed. Chaosdramon uses 'Chaos Breaker'. Giga Death Cannon CD: 1/3 Defensive Grid is reduced by one grade!

Alas, her determination and passion had once again not sufficed to grant her a swift, easy victory. The metallic menace, a mere slave to a vile sway infinitely greater than the Chaosdramon, simply accepted the severe damage Cion imposed on it to continue its rapid approach unyieldingly. It was with wide eyes filled with shock that the incandescent beast beheld its gargantuan, overcharged claw that sought to swat her away as if she was a tiny, insignificant fly. Unfortunately, due to her previous exertion, she truly was but a insect caught in a spider's web - prey to the corrupted fiend. Barely able to move in time, it was the zone she had conjured previously, as well as the curative of brilliant white data she had quickly managed through force of will, that stood between her and the savage and powerful attack. Unable to dodge out of the way, a pained scream echoed ethereally throughout the battered forest as the backhand of the titanic machine collided with the entirety of her frame. Although shielded by both a veil of armor and cure, the blunt agony that clasped at her very core engulfed her whole being and mind. Like a ball to an athlete her body was ripped off the ground as the aureate sentinel tore through trees, shrubbery and soil with nearly unrivaled velocity. As she unwillingly left behind a vast swath of destruction, the unleashed Arniomon decelerated rapidly, causing her to roll over for an unpleasantly long moment. As Cion's motion ceased, her eyelids demanded great effort to be held slightly open. However, not only the corporeal aspect of her current form was sore, but also her spirit. Such a devastating misjudgment on her part... at least she had properly payed for this grave mistake. Groaning, the vulpine ascendant sighed and managed to get on her knees. As she rested on her hands as standing up felt impossible to manage, her gaze turned sideward to whence she came. It was with a frim frown that she anticipated - no - dreaded the appearance of her adversary. Dear Yggdrasil... her apex had its drawbacks after all. She was light as a feather, especially compared to the mechanical monstrosity she was obliged to face. Cursed D-Reaper, that mindless infestation. 'Fladramon.' 'Kinda busy right now.' 'Yeah, I noticed, Romeomon.' 'No need to sound sour, Owly. You ain't mad cause I saved you, are you?' 'No, I am mad because of how you saved me. But shut up already, I've got bad news.' 'What? Did something happen to the boss?' 'Uh, no, she's fine. You on the other hand...' 'Huh? me? Don't joke around.' 'Uh, yeah. Not kidding here. You are kinda... getting swarmed.' '...' '...' "Oh, goddamn it.." Cussed the dragon out-loud, groaning at his own dumbassery as he noticed the mass of spiders beginning to encroach around him, surrounding him from all sides. "Clever girl." He mumbled to himself as he shifted his gaze back to the Arukenimon, a bead of swiftly evaporating sweat sliding down his cheek as he quickly weighed in his options. The bead hadn't even reached his neck when it all too suddenly became vapor, the body temperature of the dragon beginning to swiftly rise as he began to let the flames burn throughout his entire body. "I really can't afford to take the ladies around this place lightly." He commented to himself loudly, a certain huntress fresh in his mind as he suddenly snapped his arms into an x formation in front of his chest, legs spreading under him to allow him a more grounded stance as the temperature around him quickly began to build up.
Gliding far above them, Owlmon cringed at the sight. He hated when this happened... This would end poorly- for everyone involved. And he wasn't going to stick around for the fallout. His eyes flashed before he suddenly cut through the space between him and reality, slipping into the gap between dimensions.
The Sagittarimon clicked her tongue as their unknowing ally got swatted by the large enemy digimon, narrowing her eyes. The powerful digimon had been sent flying through a number of acres, which didn't do much to assure the Sagittarimon of her survival. She would have liked to check more throughouly on her, but she wasn't about to take her eyes off the Chaosdramon unless she strictly had to. Even a target as large as that could become problematic without something to keep it distracted, if only cause its firepower posed too much of a threat to snipe at leisurely. Still, wasn't this a lucky event... with her unknowing companion out of the way, she could afford to get a little more reckless. Calculating the trajectory of the arc of her shot, the centauress shifted her arrow upwards towards the heavens, channeling power within it, the shaft of the projectile crackling with energy of her digimental as it grew in size, becoming less of an arrow and more of a ballista's bolt. She let it soar. The large missile flew high through the air, arching as it reached its apex, its single shaft poised to strike the draconic machine right above its head. And then the entire arrow suddenly crackled and cracked, exploding soundly. Launched by the kinetic explosion, hundreds if not thousands of arrows suddenly rained down upon the Chaosdramon (and a couple of hundred meters around him), all charged with both the speed and energy of the explosion, and the power of the digimental of hope, piercing through any and all defenses as if they were wet paper, intent on both making the dragon a pin cushion and the area around him a hazard to walk through.
He really didn't want to burn through a forest if he didn't need to, but he wasn't being given a whole lot of options here... Oh well. He could keep it to a 100 meters radius. It'll grow back. Eventually. Maybe. Who cared, he wasn't gonna stick his neck out for trees and no pay. "Reaaal clever of you." He echoed his previous words, feeling pressured as the spiders grew closer and closer to him. Still, he smiled wide, eyelids flying open to their limits as sparks suddenly crackled between the talons of his gauntlets like little fireworks. "But I've gotta ask- does 'scorched earth' mean anything to you?" Then the temperature suddenly receeded sharply into him, the energy levels within suddenly jumping several levels as his entire body began to shine. BOOM!The explosion was loud. Like a couple o' hundred tons of TNT going off at the same, making the very earth quake as the pillar of fire, kinetic energy and death rose towards the heavens in a 100 meters radius around the point of detonation, parting the clouds above and lighting up the darkness in the whole area.
TL;DR: -Sagittarimon uses Iron Precipitation this turn. Special effect due to Hold Fire activates, see spoilers for details on the move. -Fladramon realizes his stupidity. -Owlmon is getting the heck outta dodge, with 4th dimensional slip.-Fladramon utilizes Scorched Earth.

Finally - that felt like proper feedback!
Even if Cion was a diminutive Super Mega, the force of that hit was no less devastating. The Arniomon left a tangible trail of destruction, a practical swath cut through the forest, and even now, the machine's hungry eyes remained locked on the god-cat's position. From there, all he had to do was close the distance...
... But there was a problem with that. The alerts showing up on the Chaosdramon's display were not for mere show, his defensive grid sparking as his body refused to fully cooperate. He managed just a few steps forward, before abandoning the effort and trying something more simple. Parting his jaws, a well-protected Minigun - just an upgrade from the same weapon in his mega form - primed itself into position. If Cion expected the entire beast to come lumbering forth, then she was going to be in for quite a shock. All it took was a moment for the gun to spin up, a deadly hail of lead and metal tearing through the woods, just a mere few seconds after she'd opened her eyes.
This wasn't perfect, of course: his reasoning up to this point was that he could simply take another heavy arrow to his side, perhaps not even interfering with the gunfire if he expected it. But this new attack came largely without warning, a practical cluster bomb exploding over his position! With a roar, and after only about ten or so seconds of continuous fire towards Cion's data signal, the beast huddled downward, that rain of arrows striking primarily at his back. With a great metallic whine, his cannons and his back armor would fall disgracefully to the side, rendered useless by the archer's battering.
Alright, to hell with it: despite the protest the rest of his body gave, as that rain came to an end, he once more started approaching Cion's position... "Well, of course not! I would think you better than to underestimate a lady, my dear!" Unfortunately for Fladramon, taking the time to even quickly charge up an attack - and much less slip in two sentences - was still leaving him as a body that stood still against a mass of poisonous insects. A number of spiders gave their leap, and would snap at the exposed arms and legs. Though they would practically explode from the heat shortly after, their powerful - and painful - poison would still manage to give out their payload.
Roughly three bugs would get to each leg, and two to each arm, leaving a nasty purple welt, before that 'boom' would echo through the woods. The Arukenimon barely had time to answer, that blinding flash of light easily killing the rest of the insects, glassing a fair portion of the woods in one go. As could be expected, of course, the Fladramon's efforts weren't without consequence, as smoke started to billow heavily around the area, carrying up from the thick forest around them.
... But there was more to it than that. Save for the weakly breathing Dokunemon in front of him, the Fladramon's efforts had unearthed something else entirely: Just a good ten yards to the left of the Fladramon, the dragon would likely spot the well-polished back of a stone turtle shell - part of the effigy to the Sovereign, Ebonwumon... one that was now damaged, at least partially, by the intense fire that he had spread through the area. Unwittingly, he had managed to find that 'needle in the haystack' that this entire raid had been organized to find.
Whether that was a 'good' thing, well, that would be revealed shortly...
Log: Arukenimon has degenerated to Dokunemon. Chaosdramon uses Gatling Gun! Chaosdramon's back plating has been destroyed! Chaosdramon's primary cannons are damaged! Giga Death Cannon CD: 2/3

Clearly requiring more moments to recover, Cion continued to linger on her knees as she watched the Chaosdramon attempt to gun her down from afar like the monstrous coward it was. Blinking several times in her state of imbalance, she mustered all of her currently available strength to let out an empyreal war cry. Bellowing at the top of her lungs, an iridescent barrier manifested itself in front of her in the nick of time. Fully protected from the onslaught of led and metal, their booming noises plagued her concentration regardless. Still, it gave her enough seconds to get back on her feet, if slowly and painedly. Bearing her teeth, the unleashed Arniomon was surprised to suddenly see a colossal explosion engulfing her adversary. It was with wide, aureate eyes and peaked ears that she beheld the severely battered machine standing on its last legs. As much as she was exhausted and sore from this clash with the D-Reaper's slave, at least the satisfaction of her opponent's deterioration bestowed elation upon her. It was a small glimmer of solace in a world consumed by vices and callousness, but it sufficed for the ancient sentinel to press on. Her aspirations simply had to succeed - failure was not an option. Besides, she had no intention of disappointing her mysterious yet cherished supporter. Assuming a strong and tall stance, Cion confidently channeled the powers that remained at her disposal. Incandescent blazes and golden, primordial matter that formed her core's ethereal vessel danced violently as she emanate an aura of elemental force. She was prepared for the grand showdown, and it appeared her opponent was inclined to accept considering his violent, swift approach. "The final curtain call awaits us... fiend." She taunted him quietly while anticipating the perfect moment to exploit the weakness that was his unarmored backside. As the explosion cleared out, another loud sound followed it- a stream of inelegant cussing, courtesy of the crazy terrorist who had decided that setting off something several times worse than Napalm in a forest was a good idea.
He had also thought that delaying the explosion just long enough to deliver a snappy oneliner was a good idea, apparently, and had gotten his ass (among other body parts) stung for his efforts. He was dealing with it about as well as the average middle schooler. "Friggin' walnuts-" he screamed as he toppled to his knees, panting hard while holding his fists against his chest, still crossed in an X-manner as his body temperature began to swiftly decrease to more bearable levels. He hadn't been attacked from the moment the explosion subsided, and looking around himself, he could see why. He had incinerated the annoying little spiders, knocked the Arukenimon down to the barely functional rookie level, and unearthed and ugly statue. All in a day's work. Moving to stand up, the dragon grunted as he stumbled towards the Dokunemon, rolling his shoulders experimentally. The spots were he had been bitten had these really nasty look to them... He grunted, reaching down to pick up the dokunemon. "You really can't just play with women 'round here, Ugh... Whatever. That's tha-" Wait, statue? "Huh?" He said, turning his gaze back to it. "Oh." He said, blinking. "OH!"
He had actually set off that party trick of his in a damn forest? What was he, out of his damn mind?! ' No amount of reprimanding will be enough for his blue ass.' Thought the Centauress to herself with a dark scowl, fighting against every instinct within her to turn her gaze towards the explosion. The fight was likely to be over after that little trick, and much as she would have liked to be sure they were in the clear, she didn't have the time to turn her gaze away from the Chaosdramon. She could still feel the mind link, so that meant Owlmon still had to be around. If something happened, he would inform her of it. She had skewered his armor and cannons- yet, he continued forward. Was he really that angry at the little fenneck? Sheesh... Well, no skin off her back. She wouldn't reject a free shot to the back. The enemy still seemed pretty dangerous to her, after all... She kinda wished she had saved her best arrow now. She would have to just make do. Knocking back an arrow, she pointed it at the back of the mechanical monstrosity's remaining Main cannon, before letting it fly through the air.
'Owlmon, you seeing this?!' screeched the dragon in his mind, staring at the statue from where he stood. He received no answer from Owlmon. ' Seeing what?!' ' Argh, Boss! Where's- Ah, whatever. I found a statue, boss!' ' A statue?' ' The statue.' ' ...! Secure the perimeter around it! I'll finish up here and join up with you soon.' ' Roger that.' Well, he had his orders. He stared at the statue for a moment, before shaking his head. What was he to do with this?
TL;DR: -Sagittarimon uses her sniper's Shot.-Fladramon receives his orders. -Owlmon is still outta dodge.
Active ability 1/2 turns duration left on Fourth Dimension Slip.
Fladramon Relevant Passives [Epsilon Orionis] When exerting his full strength, Fladramon's flames can reach temperatures above 20,000 °K, equal to the surface of a blue supergiant star, effectively making them weapons of mass destruction. The searing heat of these flames makes even preternatural resistances to damage completely ineffective against them, making passive forms of damage reduction completely ineffective against them.
Engines of War Like a rusty war machine, Fladramon requires a few tests rounds before bringing himself fully up to speed.
Active Ability No moves utilized this turn, resetting Engine of War's charges.
