"Mh-mm-hmm..."
Amidst the sounds of combat off in the background, a group of two kept relatively quiet, slipping through the foliage and thick brush of the untamed wilds. It went without saying, of course, that such a powerful force would quickly draw resistance - even the Witchmon herself had tried to call for help, before her unfortunate run-in with the Wisemon.
And with it, came quite an unfortunate result for the forest's guardians. As the two approached a certain point in the wilderness, she grew more quiet, gaining a silent, sadistic grin as she pointed forward. Like a flash, right past her lowered arm, a crimson-red blade stretched out right into the brush, the pained cry of a dragon radiating through the woods.
Baalmon. Retracting his blade, he gave a step back, holding his position as the Witchmon stepped forward - her gloved hand reaching out as she plucked the fallen Agumon from the ground.
"Ah-ah-ah!" She gave a smirk, pressing the index and middle finger of her left hand right against his forehead - the unconscious dragon soon dropped right into a heap on the ground. "I see... northwest from here is the next outpost?"
She spun on the spot, giving a nod towards the swordsman! "Then let's be on our way! We gotta keep the rest of 'em right in line, hun!"

Would one ever believe that the vague and opaque visions that plagued the cat had led her here? It was likely. The Meicrackmon (standard, not Vicious,) had been hit with sudden yet frantic omens of what was and what would be, and, rather than be a coward as she was wont to be?
She had decided to do something about this. This force, this...entity that had decided to tip his hand. The Meicrackmon, wrapped up in a blue cloak, had opted to stay hidden in the wilderness for some time. She had heard the death of the Agumon. She had heard the Witchmon's declaration.
...
No more. The Meicrackmon hated doing this, but there was a time for action and that time was now. She leapt out of her cover and extended a hand forward, tendrils extending to yield a Spider Shooter. Warning shots. That were also coincidentally aimed right at them. Some may call this...shoot first, ask questions later. For Mae, it was a matter of ensuring that nobody else was hurt by whoever these individuals were.
Active Passives: None that are relevant yet.
Warning shots!
Spider Shooter: Meicrackmon’s hands turn into tendrils that in turn form twin gattling guns before she fires destructive energy bullets towards her foe. One post cooldown.

The Eastern Timberlands. What had initially begun as a calm day out in the field had suddenly taken a rapid turn for the worse, as the relative peace of the fields was broken by a sudden burst of chaos, and almost out of nowhere the surrounding greenery had become a small battlefield, fights erupting all over the place.
And Carlos and Dio were caught in the middle. What kept the man from simply porting out and avoiding a possible life or death situation? Curiosity, plain and simple. After all, such a large scale conflict could not be a random occurence. And so, Carlos and Dio (the latter of which was now at his highest possible form, NeoDevimon) were hiding in the foliage, spying on a rather shifty looking duo of digimon: a witchmon and a baalmon.
The situation was...far from ideal, really. Yet there was an air of familiarity about it, and the duo couldn't help but get a feeling of deja vu from this whole thing, not helped by the fact the last time they had been involved in something like this, there had also been a Baalmon involved.
Were it not for the fact they had recently seen the Witchmon holding an agumon against its will, he could have mistaked them for others looking to bring order to the woods. And they would have gone on the offensive immediatelly too, until someone else decided to add some more confusion to the carnage, as the general vicinity of the witchmon and the baalmon was bombarded from above.
Glancing upwards the two saw a somewhat familiar figure: a meicrackmon, though a different variant from the usual type that always seemed to want to torment the duo. Of the two, Dio was the first one to pose the obvious question.
"Friend or foe?" He whispered, looking back and forth frantically between the feline and the duo. Tricky question.
"She did attack those two, and they don't seem exactly all that friendly." Carlos commented, to which Dio's eyes glowed with a bright red light, as if on cue.
"Good enough." Was all the devil stated before the rays shot from his eyes in the direction of the witch and the swordsman. Unlike the Meicrackmon's attack however, his red ray was shot with more of a murderous intent, or at least trying to "test the waters" as it were.
Carlos merely sighed, exhasperated as he quickly positioned himself behind and a good distance from Dio, expecting the retaliation to be swift. His partner was still not one for subtlety.
Dio fires a Red Ray "test shot" at the other two, hoping to gauge their reaction.
Red Ray: Fires a long ranged (100ft) red energy beam from his visor. This attack is not particularly powerful damage wise, but can easily pierce through armor of its same level and below. Three posts cooldown.

Oh?
It seemed that these two, careful as they were, somehow weren't alone. That said, this MeiCrackmon seemed to have a very naive idea of how to stop them. A simple warning shot was quite easy for the Baalmon to sidestep - the Witchmon letting out a low chuckle. "Oh, c'mon, darling, what's that attitude for?"
Well, that wouldn't be the end of it: a powerful laser, shot from a suspiciously whispering brush, fired right out at them from behind! However, the Witchmon didn't even lose her composure - she simply sat right back on her broomstick, easing above the attack as the Baalmon dove for the floor - the Red Ray carrying harshly through the woods, eventually hitting something off in the distance.
"That one is your alley, Baalmon." She gave a nod, as the swordsman dragged himself back on his feet, squaring his stance right in the NeoDevimon's direction. They had just been attacked - it was only the right thing to do to defend themselves, right?
Honestly, the Baalmon's expression simply seemed glossed over and disinterested - even as he extended his arms out, revealing numerous paper tags under his cloak. "Talisman Storm!" One declaration was all it took for them to tear away and fire out like hail - and from the few that the NeoDevimon could see hitting the bark, these exploded right on contact!
The Witchmon, meanwhile, crossed her arms and tapped her foot, standing across the MeiCrackmon. Her spectral kitten, on the other hand, raced right across the floor - attempting to reach and circle right up around the ultimate's frame. "C'mere, kitty.~"
Witchmon directs her apparition to approach Mae! Baalmon uses Talisman Storm!

"Nothing you'd understand, I bet." The Meicrackmon spoke. Quietly. Calmly. It seemed she was not alone when it came to fighting these two, and her newfound ally was going to tango with the knife-toting Baalmon. Which left her, the plague with the eyes of the oracle, to deal with the witch. Mae figured that since she was a witch she'd be able to dish out damage from a long distance but not be very...well-off in physical constitution. So, closing the distance would be a good start. Except she didn't really have any know-how of how to tear open portals like Tawna could. Moreover, she had to deal with the familiar racing towards her. She opened her mouth and spat a hairball--an energy hairball, at that towards the ground where the rapidly approaching cat was crossing, the Spider Bomber exploding as it made contact. Hopefully that would stop the cat. Regardless, Mae then attempted to move--run closer to the Witchmon. A quick approach. If she could finish this quick, she might not have to use -that- form.
Active Passives: (Alright NOW it's relevant) Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: Spoilered due to length. This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt. Love Machine: Every three turns, Meicrackmon is capable of applying an effect on her attacks that grant them an explosive property. As in they actually explode like bombs. For attacks that are already explosive in nature, such as Felt Made, the explosion is actually BIGGER. Golden Meteor of Debauchery: A descendent of a truly cursed and depraved individual, Meicrackmon is JUST AS resilient as this individual, taking a whooping 15% less damage from all sources.
Mae attempts to fire Spider Bomber at Witchmon's apparition, the attack being enhanced by Love Machine to have a bigger area of effect. She also attempts to approach! Cooldowns: Spider Shooter: 0/1 Spider Bomber: 0/2

It didn't take much guesswork to see which one of the two was calling the shots, or at least the one who thought so. At any rate, the witchmon not only was completely unfazed by both the attacks, but she went as far as completely ignoring Dio, focusing her attention on the cloaked feline while she sent the Baalmon against the demon. Really, how fitting it was that the least talkative of the two mons would face off against Dio. Even more fitting considering this was not his first time fighting against one.
The swordman didn't waste a moment to make his counter attack, sending a swarm of flying paper slips in Dio's direction. The Neodevimon kicked the ground, sidestepping the attack before charging forward.
Luckily none of the papers would actually came in direct contact with him, but he wasn't expecting the projectiles to actually detonate. Individually, they were small, but the sheer number of them made the ensuing chain of blasts all the more impressive, and some of the explosions would manage to reach Dio, the force of them sending him (and even Carlos) rolling on the floor whilst leaving small burn marks on his back.
Of course, he'd need more than that to be forced out of the fight yet.
"...bastard." He muttered in barely concealed anger, slowly raising back to his feet. He'd crack his neck a bit, brandishing his claws with a dangerous gleam in his eyes.
"D-Nail." With that simple word his hands would crackle with power, his already long claws growing longer and glowing a dark purple, a small but noticeable hue of energy surrounding them.
Once again he ran forward, his claws bearing down on the target with a murderous intent.
Dio is partially hurt by the Talisman Storm, and soon retaliates with a D-Nail enhanced slash.
[RAM Upgrade Giga] D-Nail: Focusing power on either of his clawed hands, Dio summons forth a set of sharp needle like blades of pure, glowing purple energy enveloping his fingers. Having an advanced form now means he’s finally able to wield this power somewhat efficiently, no longer making it elemental. The blade will disappear after either three successful attacks or a block, and can only be used for either attack or defense per activation (it can't used to block after doing one swing). Three posts cooldown.

"Oh, c'mon, sugar. Try me."
The Witchmon gave a somewhat playfully hospitable tone, but it was clear from the start that these two weren't the most morally dependable individuals. It didn't take long, after all, for both the Baalmon and the Witchmon to square off against their respective opponents, and boy, Mae was in a hurry. What, a quick fur-ball at the spectral cat, and she thought she was all settled in for a direct approach?
Look up, hun!
Not at all! Though the cat would skitter back towards their owner, as soon as Mae would look back up, she would see the Witchmon's broom, sailing right in her direction - primed to slam right into the midsection of the MeiCrackmon! This spectral stick would have a surprising amount of force behind it, should it strike the feline head-on.
As for Carlos and Dio, well, that first blast already did a number on the NeoDevimon, the swordsman slowly closing the distance towards his adversary. That proved unnecessary, it seemed: Dio was already moving to strike at the swordsman with a ferocious swing, one that the Baalmon met with his own. His blade, the Dǎshénbiān, collided cleanly with Dio's claws - quickly leaning his weight in, the swordsman brought Dio straight into a draw, staring eye to eye with his adversary.
"This fight's not yours. Move on."
The Baalmon's request was clear - the risk of dealing with an outsider, compared to the forest's own scouts, was hardly worth it if it could be avoided. Well... maybe, but those words were meant as nothing more than a distraction.
As not but a moment later, that blade would give a click - the magical whip intent to snake right around his arm!
Witchmon directs her broom to slam into Mae's midsection!
Baalmon uses the passive 'Dǎshénbiān', taking its bladed whip form!

"...I don't really know what that entails." Mae replied, a little confused more than anything. Plus, her attack was a waste of resources and time given the cat familiar didn't seem to have been harmed whatsoever. Maybe she'd need some sort of attack that strikes for the ethereal? That train of thought was quickly cut off by a vision of a...broom? A broom sailing through the air. Snapping back to reality, Mae looked up to find just that. The broom. Sailing right for her. Well, she was pretty hopeful that -this- trick of hers would work. Two lures sprung out from her back before they grew and expanded into slightly shorter Meicrackmon, one of which jumped up and at the broom to try absorbing the blow! And exploding in the process. Meanwhile, the other Small Meicrack and Mae tried jumping out of the way of the broom! And the possible explosion, with the other familiar rushing for the Witchmon, stabbing herself with her own claw to incite an explosion on her end too. The real Meicrackmon, meanwhile, went on the move, circling the Witchmon in the hopes that her attention was snagged! These were just decoys, after all...

Mae attempts using Felt Made to solve her problems, by immediately trying to do away with her clones. No, really. One jumps for the broom to try blowing herself up with it, and the other one makes a break for Witchmon to blow herself up. Felt Made: Meicrackmon creates two clones out of the lures surrounding it. They mainly serve as decoys...that explode upon being struck. They also act autonomously of Meicrackmon, too. They can make basic attacks but otherwise cannot use any of her moves. The clones last for a round after creation. Two turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Spider Shooter: 1/1 Spider Bomber: 1/2 Felt Made: 0/2 Love Machine: 1/3

Sparks of energy scattered through the air as Dio's claws met with Baalmon's sword, the two fighters. He too would lean his weight in, trying to break the draw. He didn't know how the Meicrackmon was doing against the witch, but hearing the sounds of their battle made him glad he didn't have to fight a one sided battle. Baalmon's attempts to try and talk Dio out of fighting were met with silence however, the red eyed demon not once . Ironic considering the last time he had fought against (and alongside) a Baalmon it was because of him that the conflict had started in the first place. Though at least there wasn't a Wisemon around this time. "Not an option." He snarled, a mixture of anger and loathing in his tone. The mechanical demon's answer was met with a familiar clicking sound,. Right, Baalmons' swords were different like that. As he saw the blade quickly forming what could only be described as a bladed whip, Dio extended his other claw towards Baalmon, aiming at his mid section, a crackling in the air ensued as the energy in his hand was released, an electrical discharge aiming to blast at the swordman's arm at a nearly point blank range.
Dio shoots a close ranged System Shock at Baalmon, hoping he either releases his arm or takes a hit. System Shock: Charges up power within his arms, releasing a relatively short ranged (40ft) electrical arc from his hands. Deals heavy damage and lowers the enemy’s defense by 25% for two posts. Three post cooldown. The image was a broom, and it was indeed a broom!
But, really, if her reactions were that consistent with reality, wouldn't it have been the same to just see the broom in the first place? Either way, it was easily caught up in the explosion of the first clone, the Witchmon able to see the MeiCrackmon's entire plan from a distance. What, a heads-on approach from the front and a simple circle from behind? Sure, pincer the enemy, but everything was nice and clear in the sorceress' peripheral vision - and it wasn't as if she was defenseless herself!
"Oh dearie me, what's a lass to do?" Her sarcastic remark was laced with a playful chuckle, as she raised a palm - both towards the clone and the original. What attack could she do from both sides?
"Baluna Gale!"
Oh right, that. From both palms, a powerful gale force wind would be forced out - aiming to try and catch both of them by their midsections, and send them flying back out into the woods! Really, all she needed to do was create space... As for Dio? Well, as the NeoDevimon kept that one claw in contact with that whip, it took little effort for the swordsman's blade to wrap cleanly around that arm.
Perhaps unfortunately for Dio, that wouldn't be the only thing that he'd be capable of. As that other arm was raised, the Baalmon's gaze heightened in intensity, the scarves trailing from its back striking forward in an attempt to snare around that raised arm. The electricity would still flow through - and effectively root the Baalmon in place - but should he get that grab, the slice itself would be halted short.
And if so, that free hand would tense off to the Baalmon's left.
"Your funeral." Witchmon uses Beluna Gale! Baalmon uses Cemetery Hold!

The plan here was a little more simple than most plans, but Mae felt like it would work. As she circled, she noted that the Witchmon...could definitely still see her. Mae was able to denote that the biggest bread that the spellcaster had was range, so she was probably going to try getting away from her. Or getting her away from her, right? It was one of the two. And upon hearing the word Gale, Mae attempted to dig her heels in after coming to a stop, putting her scarf-feelers forward to help protect against the wind and anchor herself to some extent. It was...something. She was hoping it would suffice. MEANWHILE. The clone/lure was sent flying. No, really, she was sent flying back and would explode a ways away from her intended destination. That's a pity, but hopefully it's not sent at anyone she knew!

While his attack was succesful in that it reached its target, Dio wasn't able to quite shake off the blade constricting his arm. In fact he'd soon also find his other arm being wrapped by Baalmon's scarves, much to his chagrin. He'd snarl in frustration and try to break free, claws desperately trying to reach for the cloths to no avail.
Unbeknownst to the swordsman (or at least Dio hoped he wasn't aware), Dio's options were rather limited on this state. And he knew he'd be in for a world of pain if he couldn't figure a way out.
He lunged forward once again, instead he did so head first, attempting to smash his head against Baalmon's. Even if his attack was blocked Dio's own face would probably come out relatively unscathed, thanks in no small part to the protective metallic mask NeoDevimon's were known for. Wheter his attack was succesful or not it was mostly meant as a distraction, a minimal misdirection for his next move.
The demon kicked the floor, putting all his strenght behind it, trying to lift himself from the ground. His wings flapped and flapped, harsh wind currents forming with every movement behind his appendages as he visibly put all his strenght into trying to lift both himself and (if he still hadn't released his grip) the Baalmon. If things went well and he wasn't , he would hopefully find himself suspended a good couple of meters in the air.
What he could do from here was admitedly, very little, but all he needed was a bit more time, to stall the inevitable attack just for a moment longer...
Dio tries to headbutt Baalmon, before attempting to take flight.

"One down! And... oh, why aren't you a toughie?"
Indeed, Mae managed to stay on her feet! The Witchmon, now with the cat perked back up on her shoulder, now had her attention completely on the original, the spellcaster's left glove quickly gaining a bluish hue. She had the momentum, after all, so she'd simply try and press that advantage. After all, for a hothead like a MeiCrackmon, perhaps the cat could use a bit of a dousing.
"Aquary Pressure!"
And a dousing she would give! With a blue sigil drawn, hovering in midair, the Witchmon directed her palm right towards that circle - a tight, narrow, and powerful stream of water forced out, intent to literally burrow straight through the center of the opposing ultimate!
"C'mon, kitten! Just think of it as a power cleaner!" Dio, meanwhile, found himself in rather dire straits. With both of his arms occupied and only one of the swordsman's, it was clear that the Baalmon had the advantage - likely able to whale into the ultimate with little resistance.
Okay, no, scratch that, Dio was a bit crazy himself - their foreheads would smash right into each-other, the Baalmon giving his first true grunt of real damage! It would be enough for Dio to start to take to the air - but then again, it wouldn't take overly long for the swordsman to collect himself. And with a strong grip on each arm, the Baalmon would mutter:
"Guiltish Claw."
The glove in his free hand sharpened to the shape of small nails - and with a lunge forward, he'd simply try and drive his arm right into Dio's chest - intent on cutting or piercing straight through! It was a bit direct, but somewhere in there would be that demon's own core...
Baalmon uses 'Guiltish Claw'! Witchmon uses Aquary Pressure!

Mae retracted her feelers and began to walk forward. It was a calm walk. But there was a rising...irritation in the cat. "I have a bad habit of being hard to put down." The Meicrackmon uttered aloud. There wasn't really any visions...which was concerning, considering the Witchmon had been acting...And drawing up a spell. Blue probably meant ice, right? Water was definitely ice but warmer, right? Well, Mae found something out very quickly as she tried to move to the side. One, she wasn't faster than a literal water jet. Two, despite her having inherited qualities from the Slayer's perfect form--namely being durable? Water cuts through pretty easily when the pressure is high enough. The cat howled in pain as the jet burrowed through her. Pain. ...This is why I fight. "V-Vicious Trigger."Mae's formerly green eyes suddenly turned a bloody crimson as she leapt to the side, and...caused herself further damage. Inconsequential. The cat's gauntlets emitted an audible SHNK noise as the red digizoid claws revealed themselves, and Mae's fur turned a slightly...redder color. The trigger had been pulled. "READY TO GET STAKED?" The now Vicious Mode Meicrackmon barked, as she took a running start. Something was being planned...Maybe? Was she even still sane?
Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. Gotta Let it Out: Meicrackmon Vicious Mode fights with a blistering anger that builds up over time, gaining one each time she is struck or strikes someone. While this does dull a great many things, including morality, and the ability to tell from friend and foe past two stacks, this does increase her attack power by a good 10% for each stack. 4 stack limit. Mae loses a stack every turn she goes without hitting something or being struck by something. Born In The Abyss: This passive allows Meicrackmon VM to heal 7.5% every time she lands with an attack. She has the option to increase a cooldown by 1 if the move it belongs to impacts an enemy, in exchange for an additional 2.5% heal. Cast in Digizoid: You see those claws on Meicrackmon? They’re already really strong on their own, but what matters is they’re composed of Red Digizoid, and are laced with a venom that is most certainly the same type found in Meicoomon’s Data Crusher. Every three posts, Meicrackmon VM can ‘activate’ the claws and cause her next melee attack inflicted with the claws to be twice as powerful.
Mae takes a waterjet to her everything and pulls herself free (at the expense of more damage, probably) before slide-digivolves to Vicious Mode. Passives have been updated accordingly. Cooldowns: Felt Made (Carried over from Meicrackmon): 2/2

As the fight dragged on, Dio couldn't help but feel the sense of familiarity fighting this Baalmon grow more and more. His fighting style, his terse mannerisms, they felt all to similar to that other swordsman back on the North all that time ago. Except this one reeked of something different, more malevolent. Something he had also fought against not too long ago.
Something that had affected K...
No time to dwell on that however. There was some cathartic glee to be found on the NeoDevimon's expression as his headbutt was not only succesful but had clearly been somewhat painful to the Baalmon. Such a simplistic tactic, yet effective. Had he known his next step would get him known his next step wouldn't work as planned, he would have probably bashed heads once again.
The demon was barely able to even scream in pain, gasped chokes escaping him as the Baalmon's gloved hand stabbed right into his chest, piercing the flesh as bits of data "bleeding" out from the recently open wound. It not only hurt like hell, but if he let Baalmon be for any longer his attack wwould be getting dangerously close to reaching the demon's core.
As bad of a situation this was, all was not lost. Dio's stalling had paid off, and now he had his foe in the perfect position for a counter attack. His crimson, hate filled eyes glared at the other demon, glowing with pure fury and...power. Soon enough, another powerful blast of red energy would shoot out of his eyes, aiming to blast the Baalmon's own chest!
At point blank range, if it landed it would surely cause some serious damage to the Baalmon, or at the very least, push him away long enough for Dio to break free from his deadly grip.
Dio is heavily damaged by Guiltish Claw, but tries to headbutt Baalmon again and shoots another Red Ray at almonst point blank range to try to prevent further damage.
Red Ray: Fires a long ranged (100ft) red energy beam from his visor. This attack is not particularly powerful damage wise, but can easily pierce through armor of its same level and below. Three posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Red Ray: (0/3)
System Shock: (2/3)
Durations:
D-Nail: (1/3)
