At first dismissing the girl's impudent way of responding to her simple question, Cion unintentionally winced at her partner's sudden outburst of cheer. Unfortunately, this meant that the recolored Gabumon had inadvertently revealed their hidden presence to the three Tankmons who were guarding the hole in the concrete wall. .o('Great...')o. She thought, hoping the kid would perceive the biting, displeased tone in her 'voice'. Though the fine lady usually kept her composure even in dire straits, the frequency at which other people were responsible for her detriment tonight was becoming significantly bothersome. Alas... there was no point in pouting and whinging.
Thankfully, although little-noticed, the shadows of the supply shed were still granting them ample cover. Motioning the purple and white nature spirit to hunker down and keep a low profile. the CyberSagitamon took in a deep and quiet breath before getting into action. If nothing else, gaining the attention of the trio of machines would at least assure the well-being of her scout, which was a primary aspect of the mission at hand. It wasn't like digimons were generally immortal and would reincarnate in the City of Beginnings and enjoy the beauty of Rosewood - folks are too attached.
Scurrying behind the building's cladding, the vulpine sentinel eventually leapt into plain view, which did not mean much considering the time of day, or night rather. Confident that previous tactics will suffice once more, it required but the snap of her finger to conjure a translucent maelstrom of surging energy around the sentient cyborg in the middle. Expecting that both her target and its immediate neighbours would be caught and snared in midair by the gravitational trap, Cion quickly aimed her futuristic bow at them and launched projectiles of pure data at them.

Gamma: "There! Target the angel!" Apparently this tank wasn't alone. Just at that point a huge detachment of exactly sixteen Troopmon all arrived on the scene at the same time and assumed positions to cover their comrade. The good news was that they weren't a problem for very long. Why? They had all taken a position within twenty five meters of Tankmon. That meant they were all wiped out just as soon as they arrived. Tankmon, too, was too big and slow to get out of that big effect radius. He was loose data before Jorge could even bring his staff down, so if he followed through then he swung and hit nothing but air. Just like that, Skye had gone and obliterated seventeen digimon at once without even trying to. That gave the digimon enough breathing room to move forward to the supply hoards, but the journey wasn't an easy one. Tankmon patrolled all the main roads heavily while a seemingly infinite number of weaker Troopmon fanned out and seemed to cover almost everywhere else. Between their own cunning and the troops' lack of brain cells, however, they were able to safely make it where they wanted to be. On their way, they heard Tadayoshi announce, "All callsigns, Sandman with an urgent update: Beta is taking heavy fire. Since you cleared the skies we were able to safely airlift them out of there. This mission is unfeasible without a three-pronged attack, though, so listen close: we used the evacuation as a mask to airdrop backup in there, callsign Sigma. It's only gonna get more dangerous out there, so watch your backs. Out."
And he was right about it getting more dangerous indeed. The supply cache was huge tent tarp, the sort one could fit an entire bazaar under, and at first glance that was exactly what it appeared to be. The crates full of food, water, and valuables also lent to the illusion. However, the four Tankmon rolling about its perimeter and dozen Troopmon wandering underneath the tarp proved otherwise. All of this, Gamma was no doubt able to see from behind the corner of a wooden building which stood out among the cent city behind them. It looked like the first structure they had encountered which might have been built by the Hildegard locals themselves.
Perhaps they were also able to spot something else: three Gigimon all being held at gunpoint by three Troopmon just in front of Gamma, between the cache and the team itself. However, yet another digimon soon appeared on the scene: a Crescemon. "Whoa... I can see it from here, Gamma. That's not in the dossier. Proceed with caution. Out."
"I thought I warned you about stealing," the ultimate scolded the in-trainings, standing at an intimidating twelve feet tall. "I let you off easy last time. Maybe you need a little punishment for the message to sink in." What she had in mind became clear as she held her right blade near the belly of one Gigimon. They all whimpered. Tankmon E was hit by Hell Crossfire. Tankmon E died of his injuries. 16 backup Troopmon were also inadvertently hit and killed.
Omega:
"What the-?"
"What's happening?"
For a moment, it looked like Cion had four Troopmon at her mercy, seeing as she successfully snared them and sank a few arrows into them for good measure. The problem? The one who had spotted her had turned around just enough to train one of its cannons on a target. "Tank Buster!" Bang! A shell flew out of one arm barrel... straight past Cion. The Psychemon charged in her care was the target!
"Aah!" Purna screamed shrilly. She knew the attack was coming thanks to her ability and ran for her life, trying to duck behind the shed. Unfortunately, she was still close enough to the impact area where explosive splash damage caused her a few burns to her side, causing her to shriek in agony.
"All callsigns, Sandman with an urgent update: Beta is taking heavy fire. Out." Well, that was good to know, but perhaps it wasn't immediately helpful.
Tankmons A, B, C, and D were all hit by Translucent Maelstrom and Data Arrow Storm. Tankmon B attacked Purna with Tank Buster. -Tank Buster: This digimon shoots an explosive shell to deal damage. Purna took partial damage from the splash of Tank Buster.
Sigma:Not good. Ilbert wasn't able to defend against four tank rounds in his hull. Separate each was weak, but together, focused, they punched a hole straight through the Locomon's hull. Worst of all, there was Ryouta, exposed, ready to be blasted next. But Silence knew they couldn't let that happen, even if no one from Beta was signalling for evacuation, the need was very clear. Lucky for them, Silence was right on time. The giant helicopter digimon, Helomon, landed right in the middle of the battlefield and declared, "We're pulling you out! Quick, before they reload!" To their credit, Beta element didn't have to think twice; they devolved small enough to fit in the chopper, which proceeded to take off soon as all passengers were aboard. The tanks all tried to blast the helicopter on its way out, but they all missed. There, in the cabin, Ryouta, Valt, and Ilbert met a surprise: Eris, a digimon Silence kept as secret backup just in case exactly this happened. It seemed they truly did value secrecy very highly after all. Once the group was high in the sky and Helomon explained the situation, the group compliantly exchanged gear. Since Ryouta had a full pack, Eris was starting with as much gear as everyone else did. They also made sure to tell Eris everything they had overheard from some stupid Troopmon, including that some quick-dry cement was what the Black Army planned to repair the flaw in the wall themselves. At that point Helomon would anxiously issue an ultimatum: "It's now or never, Sigma! These guys need medical attention fast!" Hopefully Eris was fast, because as soon as they said that they started to speed away from the battlefield and back to Silence's observation point. As soon as Eris jumped she'd hear Tadayoshi speaking in her earpiece, "All callsigns, Sandman with an urgent update: Beta is taking heavy fire. Out."
The Tankmon were completely fooled. For a while they stood around wondering what the heck to do about the escapees but figured the job was done. On the ground, perhaps Eris was able to hear the squad leader order the others, "Let them go! They won't be back. We'll return to the lieutenant and await further orders. Squad! Fall in!" And so they left, leaving Eris with a clear field... but no clear path. Flares remaining:

"This is Sigma Reporting. Air Dropping in now~" The Crimson Sealsdramon called over their speaker as they grabbed the bag proffered to them slinging it over their shoulder as the hunched down then with a burst of speed ran forward vaulting out and clear of the Helomon's doors.
"Engaging stealth field now~" They informed their team as the slammed a fist against the trigger on their belt their form shimmering out of sight even as they plummited through the cloud cover and dust.
"Five hundred feet," They called out counting down the readings on their HUD as they free fell eyeing the gradually growing larger camp beneath them.
"Four hundred feet," The Sealsdramon intoned quietly reminding herself that she'd always aced all of ICY FATE's simulations and this was nothing more then just a 'very' realistic simulation. Even if this time she was going into it at champion level. There was no reason to be nervous.
"Three hundred feet," She counted down able to make out the details of buildings now as she watched the Tankmon begin to pull out of her landing zone.
'Excellent,' She thought as the chances of her being shot of the sky grew slimmer as they failed to detect the subtle shift of her field.
"Two hundred feet," Eris quipped beginning to grow nervous as she counted down the distance.
"One hundr-Erk~" She coughed as the anti-grav devised activated with a hard kick knocking the wind out of the small armored dragon as she floated the last of the distance safely down landing atop one of the roofs.
"Infiltration is a success. I repeat Infiltration is a success. Beginning search now." The Sealsdramon informed her team leader as she hunkered down scanning the area around her. Now if she were the one responsible for fixing a wall, which she was, where would she store the supplies? A supply shed obviously. Now she just needed to find one. Glancing around the Digimon looked for just that.
Eris uses Active Camo -Active Camo: Eris activates a device on her belt producing a thin forcefield over her form causing her to visually blend in perfectly with her surroundings and muffles her footsteps, noise, and scent, but does prevent disturbances in her surroundings from her own movements. Skye was absolutely astonished at what had happened here. As she was beginning her attack run, sixteen Troopmon had arrived as reinforcements! Oh no... that many Troopmon, they would wipe Jorge and Hickory out easily! She cursed under her breath, then would aim for each and every one, destroying not only Tankmon, but sixteen other Troopmon, all of them exploding into data before her. When she was finished, and when Jorge swung nothing but air, the atmosphere was thick with the data of fallen digimon. Skye was momentarily dazed by this. Seventeen. All destined for the Village of Beginnings, so she hoped. "...Skye?" Jorge asked, returning to Hickory and picking up the dazed Chuumon. He was still conscious, but still whimpering. "I'm fine, we have to continue" she said. "Hickory, are you okay?" "I... I'll be... fine" Hickory answered. That he was still conscious was a relief, but, it was clear he would not be okay if he took another hit like that. There was a pause as the three of them heard an urgent message in their earpieces. Team Beta, Ryu and Valt, seemed to have been overwhelmed, but, thankfully they had been evacuated. Since the mission was impossible without three groups, it seemed they had lost for the moment, but thankfully, there would be reinforcements. And that it would be only more difficult from here on out. "Heh... guess I was useful after all" Hickory couldn't help but remark, grinning, then coughed a little. "Try not to talk, buddy" Jorge advised him, patting his back, then turned to Skye. "He needs healing, Skye, you think you could help him?"Skye was just about to, but she saw something that horrified her. "...hostages!" she immediately whispered. Jorge's eyes widened, then gave a troubled nod in response. As long as Hickory could hold on, this was something of immediate priority. The DeathAngewomon, Shoutmon and Chuumon positioned themselves behind one of the buildings of Hildegard. And from there, they saw 3 Troopmon holding 3 Gigimon hostage. Then, a Crescemon appeared, behaving in a threatening manner, seemingly about to destroy them there and then. 'Oh you evil bitch!' Skye thought, venomously. She took a slow, deep breath, raising her crossbow. This was not a situation to hesitate. If she did, innocents would die. "Skye, if you take out Crescemon, I can handle the Troopmon, but, it'd draw attention" Jorge whispered. "What should we do?"The Crescemon had to die right now. The Troopmon also had to die. But there was no way they could do it without drawing attention of the four Tankmon or the 12 Troopmon. Skye thought hard, then decided on a course of action. "Jorge, aim for the Troopmon as early as you can" she ordered. "Rescue the Gigimon, keep them out of harm's way. I'm gonna take out Crescemon..." meanwhile she would load their flare gun with the red flare, then hand it to Hickory. "When we make sure there's no more innocents in the area, fire this over the supply cache. Blimpmon can destroy it all, but we have to make sure there's no innocents. Can you do that?"
"I'll try, Skye" Hickory said. "Wait... let me try something... here..." and he began to focus inward then let forth a power over Skye and Jorge. He didn't say anything, but the power was still evident. "This should bolster you both a little" he reasoned, but it was clear that he couldn't do that again for a while.
"Hickory... you brave little guy" Jorge praised, feeling more powerful immediately.
"Good. Then climb on my back and stay there, you'll be safer with me" Skye told him. Hickory did so, wincing from his wounds, then, the three of them got into position. Jorge was ready to pounce with his mic staff, and Skye aimed her magic crossbow. She aimed for Crescemon's neck, holding her arms steady, then pulled the trigger. As she fired the Death Cross at Crescemon's neck, Jorge would immediately dash forward, aiming to line up the three Troopmon, then leapt, conjuring a quaver-shaped fireball in his paw, then hurled it at a point behind the Troopmon away from Gigimon, so that it would explode at a range that harmed them, but not the Gigimon. "Run, Gigimon!" Jorge shouted. "Hide! Fast as you can! You don't have much time!" Skye uses Death Cross on Crescemon, aiming for her neck.
Death Cross - Skye aims her magic crossbow, charges it with energy, then fires a powerful, precise shot at the enemy. [Cooldown: 1 turn]
Skye is bolstered by Hickory's Things Can Only Get Feta for 1 of 3 turns (+15% Attack)
Jorge uses Hard Rock Spirit, aiming at a range that would damage the 3 Troopmon but not harm the Gigimon.
Hard Rock Spirit - Jorge conjures a fireball in the shape of a musical note in his hand, then hurls it at the opponent or a place nearby. The fireball explodes on impact, causing area-of-effect damage with a radius of 10 meters. [Cooldown: 1 turn]
Jorge is bolstered by Hickory's Things Can Only Get Feta for 1 of 3 turns (+15% Attack)
Hickory uses Things Can Only Get Feta on Skye and Jorge.
- Things can Only Get Feta: A means of Hickory to provide some cheerleading for his allies. Shouts words of encouragement that bolster their fighting spirit and increase their attack by 15% for 3 turns. [Cooldown: 3 turns]
Hickory is now riding Skye, holding the Flare Gun, ready to fire a Red Flare over the supply cache, but not until it's confirmed that there are no more innocents in the bombardment zone.

Wait... Beta was about to be evacuated and replaced with another team? What could have possibly happened to them that an escape was necessary? Not to mention whence do these new participants come from? Where they, unbeknownst to Cion, an ace up the general's sleeve, or were things becoming quite bizarre at this point? Alas, contemplating the intel was meaningless since there was nothing for her to change the cards at hand. Instead, the vulpine mercenary narrowed her aureate eyes, focusing on the four Tankmons she had successfully snared and struck with her arrows. "One..."
Unfortunately, a single member of the dastardly minions had, in spite of the violent forces tearing at it, retained aim on her valuable if foul-mouthed and purblind scout. The projectile the Tankmon launched was loud and massive, but fortunately the resulting explosion only sufficed to singe Puma's fur. Still, the over the top screams of agony were certainly displeasing and aggravating. Gritting her carnivorous teeth, the ladylike Perfect continued her hail of ranged attacks, seeking to chip away at her enemies' armor and impeding their mobility with each successive blow.
Defiantly, Cion remained on her spot, wishing to attain the ire of the living machines which guarded the hole in the bulwark. Hopefully, her bravado was enough for the young, impertinent girl to find safe cover to hide in. With a second snap of her fingers, a stream of translucent data engulfed the Psychemon, steadily mending the minor wounds she had received. "Are you always picking on those weaker than you?" She asked them with a biting tone of derisiveness and odium in her voice. Oh what a heinous realm the digital world was which made horrors like infanticide so easy and trivial to the mind of many.
It filled her beaming heart with tainting yet propulsive fervency. Regrettably, her disdain was merely partially covering up her frustration, for the likelihood that reinforcements arrived in due time was big. An infelicity was followed by the next... if the miscolored nature spirit could at least defend herself against other Rookies, that would be swell.

Sigma: Well... there wasn't a whole lot to see. The digimon there had gone and returned to their regular posts and patrols thinking the threat neutralized. Like the rest of Noble Aim's teams, Sigma Element's foray behind enemy lines started with densely packed tents making up pretty much everything around her resembling structure. Beyond that it was just dirt roads, grass... and a pair of Troopmon that jogged straight past her, shouting. Maybe Sigma wouldn't have to hunt down a shed after all, because the bag was clearly labelled, Insta-Cement. They seemed to have enough difficulty with it to slow down soon to a brisk walk, but not to a stop. "Is this gonna be enough?" one asked. The other grunted with effort before answering, "Only if you're careful with it. Maybe we shouldnt'a left this one open so long if people can get through it, but this stuff ain't cheap, yeah?" "What little they're payin' us? Could probably use the muns ta buy a whole new wall." His pal snickered. "Oi, where'd you put the scraper?"
"...scraper?"
"Ya dumb snot! We can't touch this crap with our bare hands! It'll be damn near impossible to get off! Drying fast is kinda the point!"
"I thought you had it!"
"Ya gotta be pullin' me. C'mon!" Almost all the way to the wall and its inches-high hole in the base, the pair dropped the bag when the angry one grabbed the forgetful one by the wrist and roughly pulled him back the way they came. What they didn't realize was they were being watched and, probably, eavesdropped upon. Perhaps Sigma had a tool it could use as a scraper? If not, it seemed like she would just have to wait for the enemy to come back. Gamma:"Aaaah!" was the closest thing the Gigimon were all capable of in that moment to what they meant to reply with, which was closer to, 'We're extremely frightened but would rather take our chances obeying you strangers than these Black Army thugs.' They ran straight toward the archer who fired the arrow to create their window, but instead of escaping the area the poor, terrified children crowded behind her ankles instead. It seemed they didn't want to go too far from their rescuers. Once they all crowded behind Skye's ankles, they began to tremble and together whimper, "Don't leave us! Don't let her get us!" Skye could probably tell for herself they weren't going to leave her until they weren't scared anymore.
They were only able to escape safely thanks to Gamma. Jorge's fireball was quite precisely put, knocking all three troops on their bellies, which is the position they were in when they turned to data dust. As for the Crescemon, she, too, was struck true. However, her wound was far from fatal. It was going to take more than a rookie-level boost to turn a moderate attack into a fatal one. She tried to turn and curse at Skye with a bolt in her throat, but she seemed to be finding difficulty with that.
When she slashed at the air with her scythe, a purple crescent-shape supernatural blade flew like a projectile toward Skye. Of course she could attempt to dodge clear of it, but would she be willing to take the risk that the hostages behind her might get hit instead? Either way, reinforcements were close at hand. This heavily guarded installation was crawling with tangos, and that explosion from Jorge went and called them all. All of the remaining sixteen troops and tanks rushed to the scene and began assembling, taking cover behind whatever they could find like crates or road barriers, and raising their guns to calls of, "There! Contact!" and "Cover the LT!" Perhaps this wasn't the commander of the whole force, but apparently Gamma was facing down an officer... and a whole lot of firepower.
Troopmons G, H, and I were hit by Hard Rock Spirit and killed on the spot. The lieutenant Crescemon was hit by Death Cross. The lieutenant Crescemon attacked Skye with Psy-Slice. Psy-Slice: This digimon slashes the air and sends a vertical psychic blade at an opponent to deal sharp psychic damage. -[Relevant passive] Infiltrator: Opponents hit by Crescemon's attacks find their body responds more slowly and perhaps even incorrectly in response to mental commands the opponent gives its own body due to residual psychic energy interference with the enemy's mind. Each time Crescemon damages an opponent, they gain one stack of Infiltrator which reduces their speed by 10%. This ability may stack up to three times and lasts for three posts per stack, which continue through their duration even after Crescemon's defeat or death.
Omega:Cion's healing move got the rookie to stop screaming of pain, at least. The disproportion between their levels meant Purna was, in fact, completely healed up. The burns everywhere on her body were gone. Too bad there was no saving the right side of her pelt, though; that was just gone and staying gone. "Wh-what?" she looked over her own body, confused, but then sighed in relief; she understood what happened.
Unfortunately, Cion just wasn't making a lot of progress with these Tankmon! She could shoot them - and she did, as they were all too slow to do anything about her last attack - but she couldn't seem to do much heavy damage to them even given the level difference. That was too bad, because by now they had all turned around and were sure ready to do damage on her. Together they shouted, "Double Buster!" which was her only warning before two shells per tank all blasted at her position. At least they weren't shooting the hostage anymore.
"Cion!" Purna tried to mentally call to her ally, "There's no one coming yet because another team is making a bigger scene, but I'm gonna char-broiled if you don't destroy those big uglies!"
Tankmons A, B, C, and D attacked Cion with Double Buster. -Double Buster: This digimon fires two high explosive shells out of its main arm cannons. Cooldown: 1 post.
Double Buster must cool down: 1 post remaining. Flares remaining:

The concealed Sealsdramon watched with rapt interest as the Troopmon dropped the bag of insta-cement upon realizing they forgot a scraper leaving them to dart off to fetch their missing tool. A tool which Eris would need to improvise, but something that certainly wasn't beyond her capabilities. She had been hired onto this mission as a professional, but in truth she'd been practically hatched from the egg for sabotage. Now if only she could be in two place at once or better yet three...
Turning such a devilish thought over within their mind Eris smiled. Then drawing on her data suddenly her unseen form was flanked with two visible crimson Sealsdramons that could have been Eris's exact duplicates. Mostly because they were.
"Right~ You're Alpha, you're Beta." Eris spoke giving them their designations in a hushed whisper. "Alpha take this," The Hidden Sealsdramon murmured fishing their square metal canteen from their pouch. "It'll do for a makeshift scraper. Slather what cement you need onto the wall and get to work repairing it. I'll take what remains with me in the bag." Eris ordered her unseen eyes bright with mischief behind her visor as she motioned for Alpha to get to work. The clone was quick to accept the canteen before leaping over the edge of the building and stalking towards the insta-cement to begin their work.
"Beta take one of the flares and make your way towards the Watchtower." She ordered pausing to scan the distance between her and the looming building they knew to be the commanders quarters quietly calculating the time it would take her to get there. "Once you're there set the flare off to call for an airstrike. If I don't see the airstrike go off I'll divert and take the watchtower down myself." Eris ordered as the two Sealsdramon clones nodded. Leaving Eris to hand off one of the flares before hopping down to collect what remained of the bagged insta-cement.
Across from them Beta stuck to the shadows and roofs where they could. Slowly picking their way towards the watchtower at a cautious pace that could be mistaken for casual should someone spot them. Giving them a much needed air of 'I'm supposed to be here,' that would help in the long run with bluffing.
With her cloak the real Eris had an easier time of things as they noted the coordinates and direction of the commanders quarters on their HUD before stalking towards their target. For she had oh so much mischief to incite.

Skye bared her teeth in frustration as her shot did not kill. Worse, the Gigimon were hiding behind her instead of fleeing! It seemed that their plan to quickly rescue them and escape had gone awry because of it. Worse, Crescemon turned to counter-attack Skye. She had no choice but to stand and defend the Gigimon from the hit, so she braced. The attack would have done a lot more to hinder her had Jorge not intervened at the last moment. Just as Crescemon was launching her attack, the Shoutmon glowed with an orange energy, twirled his mic staff around three times rapidly, then tapped the ground with it, held it at mouth height and shouted "Soul Force!" at once sending a wave of energy over himself, Skye, and Hickory. Skye grunted as the attack hit, but somehow the aura made it less devastating than it could have been. Still though, the attack stung hard, leaving data bleeding from her arms that she had used to protect her face and torso from the energy blast. Hickory meanwhile jumped from Skye's back, the injured Chuumon forgetting his pain for a moment as he spoke to the three Gigimon. He was barely bigger than them, but he tried to put on a brave face. "It's too dangerous here, guys! You have to get away from here and get somewhere safe!" he told them. "Follow me! I'll help you look for one!" he hoped they would. "He's right, Gigimon, I can't hold them all off!" Skye would say, recovering from the blow enough to raise her magic crossbow and fire an onslaught of rapid-fire magic quarrels at the Crescemon and assembled troops. She would step backwards as she did so. Jorge then suddenly got an idea. "Hickory, the flare gun!" he told his companion in an urgent whisper. "Skye can keep their attention, I'll hook around and take a look inside the storage building! If it's clear, I'll summon an airstrike!""Okay..." Hickory said, carefully, making sure the safety was on before passing the gun to Jorge. As Skye kept up a field of suppressive fire to cover their retreat, Hickory would try and lead the Gigimon to safety, while Jorge ran back, circled around the building, and waited to see if the coast was clear for a run inside, taking care to look out for MetalKoromon as well. The three of them were panting, the intensity of the battle getting to them, but... something was keeping them moving. Was it the sight of in-training hostages? Was it the fact this was their first real mission and hesitation had got them only trouble? A part of Skye was horrified that it seemed only a little while ago that she had hated the idea of loading an enemy digimon, but now... she had attacked multiple digimon while their backs were turned, thinking not of their welfare, but of the welfare of the digimon they were oppressing. Eventually, she too reached the corner of the building and would step back into cover, her crossbow running out of magic quarrels for the moment. Hopefully Hickory had led the babies to safety. Skye takes the Psy-Slice hit to protect the Gigimon, but due to Soul Force, is not afflicted by the debuff.
Skye uses Hell Crossfire on the enemy, aiming for Crescemon, Troopmon and Tankmon, creating suppressing fire to cover their retreat.
Hell Crossfire - Skye changes the mode of her crossbow, making it fire a rapid burst of energy like a machine gun. Deals area-of-effect damage to those standing within 25m of the target. [Cooldown: 1 turn]
Soul Force duration - 1/3 turns.
Things Can Only Get Feta duration - 2/3 turns.
Death Cross cooldown - 1/1.
Hell Crossfire cooldown - 0/1.
Jorge uses Soul Force on himself, Skye and Hickory.
Soul Force - The song of Jorge's soul spills forth and imbues himself and 3 allies with a protective aura. For 3 turns, they are protected from any debuffing effects. [Cooldown: 3 turns]
Soul Force duration - 1/3 turns.
Things Can Only Get Feta duration - 2/3 turns.
Hard Rock Spirit cooldown - 1/1.
Jorge doubles back behind the building and prepares to make a run for the storage building as long as the coast is clear, then aims to check it for innocents before calling for an airstrike.
Hickory makes no attack, but attempts to lead the Gigimon away from the battle to look for somewhere to hide.
Soul Force duration - 1/3 turns.
Things Can Only Get Feta duration - 2/3 turns.

Glad to know that her at times cherished partner was fine and dandy thanks to her ability to heal others, Cion narrowed her aureate eyes, focusing entirely on the four Tankmons who mindlessly opposed her. As to be expected, her thoughts towards them were filled with condescension. Even the fact that her data arrows only barely managed to pierce their metal armor was not swaying her opinion. Though not as quick and effective as hoped for, especially since a certain someone had bereft her of an absolute ambush, things were still going according to her scheme. "Two..."
Thankfully, her opponents did little, or rather anything at all, to shift their position in an attempt to dodge her attacks. Proceeding with her onslaught of tiny projectiles of raw energy, the CyberSagitamon was happy to receive the intel that she did not have to fear immediate backup as the evil army was kept busy by the other groups of the party she worked for. Finally, some truly great news! Now knowing that there was, for the moment, hardly something noteworthy in her way to accomplish her task, it was time to initiate the finale of this pointless encounter.
Fortunately, the living machines heeded her taunt and focused solely on her. Smirking, she watched as the quartet of earthbound cyborgs launched highly explosive shells at her. Perfect! Bending her wrist, it was almost instantly that a transparent wall of iridescent fire manifested itself in front of her. Easily withstanding the force of the bombardment for it was designed to undo several moves of digimons of a higher level, Cion beheld as thick smolder, dirt and sparks tainted parts of the area. However, these conditions were far from disadvantageous.
Dashing out of the onyx cloud of cinder, the vulpine mercenary glared at the vile keepers of this entrance to the city. With a strong leap, the grappling hooks of her belt were fired at the rampart to their side, causing her to be dragged towards it at a rapid place. Hopefully, they were incapable of turning quickly around their own axis. "Not really aim-oriented, are we?" She teased the green, synthetic entities with a certainly poor yet quite felicitous pun. She'd have to brush her tongue afterwards, but keeping the attention of these simpletons was what mattered the most.

Sigma: Even though she was completely visible, nobody gave Alpha any trouble. After all, the enemies didn't have reason to expect someone was there, and it was apparently taking the earlier Troopmon a while to get back to where they came from for what they forgot. The only things that made Alpha's life somewhat challenging were her time limit and the weight of the bag she had to drag. It was nuts! It must have felt like a bag of lead! Still, she made it there safely. Inside, she'd discover, was a gray, very sticky and goopy clay-like substance. Forget about danger; it was inadvisable to touch just for being disgusting. But the canteen was just good enough to get the job done, which meant that as Alpha spread layer after layer from the ground up she'd find each one was dry in a mere sixty seconds. As time went on it was harder to dig for cement still soft in the bag itself, but Alpha still managed to cover the hole... and, by extension, her best escape route. Oh, well. Objective complete. Unfortunately for Eris, Alpha had used very little of the substance on a fairly small opening, and by the time she was done contact with the air had dried up everything inside. Maybe it was a threatening club wielded by a larger digimon, but in its current state the bag was nothing but dead weight. She was either going to have to lug that seemingly useless thing around somewhere or leave it where it was. More bad news for her was that someone didn't seem to like her improvisation. "Sigma Actual, Specter. You may be invisible, but you're still on my infrared, and you're off your route! If you alert the commander before the residents are safe, he'll use them as leverage against us all. Get back on course! Out." There was no nonsense in the Commandramon's tone. The Beta clone was already going there, though, and she was making no attempt at all to conceal herself. Odd. Naturally, both under a curfew like normal and an abnormal state of alarm, that couldn't be allowed to continue unabated. Though rough and makeshift, the camping tents were in arranged in 'blocks' of sorts somewhat like city blocks, and Beta was only stopped a remarkable three 'blocks' before the tower that hovered over her in the distance. At its peak, Eris might have caught a squad of four Troopmon able to see her and aim down at her while another squad of equal size attempted to get in behind her. "Hold it!" one of the troops behind her ordered, "By order of the commander, civilians are being confined in their homes until further notice! What are you doing out here?" With a hand signal, that one ordered two of his underlings to step forward and attempt to hold the clone's arms behind her back. Gamma:Hickory's heroism might have deserved a medal. It also helped his case that the Gigimon just watched their last protector take a pretty significant hit - which could have been them! The two combined convince the little digimon to follow the mouse wherever he took them without complaint.
Jorge was in luck to find the structure he'd taken cover in was completely vacant. It made some sense; there was no longer any furniture unless one counted a giant pile of dust as a bed. It looked like the Black Army hadn't allowed anyone to use that place for quite some time now. That didn't include MetalKoromon, which was apparent to Jorge by some oddly dustless pockets in a few corners, but at the moment they were unoccupied. Maybe the baby digimon had done the smart thing and fled.
Skye, on the other hand, was not in such a positive position. Her fire did strike four of the enemy troops, and all of the tanks, but Crescemon managed to jump high and back far enough to escape the danger zone while the rookies who couldn't move so fast were protected by taking better cover than their comrades, since sturdy building corners were much better defenses than empty wooden crates. Still worse? Now they were in positions to shoot back. In synch they all used their, "Autoshot!" abilities on Skye's position, attacking with the power of half a typical ultimate taken together.
Still worse, they were backed up by Crescemon's, "Moonlight Beam!" This caused a very bright white light beam to shine from her left hand/blade, which ideally would shine on Skye and burn her with the light's heat. Troopmons J through M were hit by Hell Crossfire and killed. Troopmons N through Q took cover which blocked Hell Crossfire. All four Tankmon were hit by Hell Crossfire and killed.
Crescemon evaded Hell Crossfire. Troopmons N through T attacked Skye with Autoshot. -Autoshot: This digimon shoots fully automatic metal bullets to deal damage. Crescemon attacked Skye with Moonlight Beam. -Moonlight Beam: This digimon reflects and focuses moonlight at a single point to deal light (the element) damage.
Omega:Cion bet correctly that these tanks sure weren't very fast, and not just because they were tanks. Maybe they were a little tougher than their counterparts, but they were also wounded by an ultimate digimon even if her damage was lower than normal. That meant this was the end for them. The last barrage of data arrows was too much for them. The only good news for them was that Cion was using nonlethal force, meaning that this volley just had the Tankmons go limp or fall over rather than disintegrating into individual bits. Cion's hookbelt gave her a perfect view of it, too. Purna knew it was over when no explosive barrage followed Cion's last attack. Cautiously, she poked her head out and called, "Did we win?" breathing a sigh of relief. That settled, she went and looked at the gate doors. "Phew... you know what? You're luckier than you thought meeting me. Here..." Purna touched both paws to her own head... which made those giant doors float over the ground. It was telekinesis! It seemed doubtful they could move the things even together, but Purna was able to do it alone... for a moment. There was one thing she couldn't do, though, which she explained through grunts of effort. "H-hurry! I can't... hold 'em forever! Fix 'em in!" In the same shed Cion was probably able to find power drills and attachments of the right dimensions to hold the hinges of the gate in place. Some of them were rather high up, but her hook belt seemed like it could get her as high as she needed to be. This objective seemed to be just about in the bag. Tankmons A through D were hit by Data Arrow Storm and nonlethally incapacitated. Flares remaining:
Sigma: Green, Red Gamma: Green, Red
Omega: Green, Red Active Objectives:
4) Fix the flaws in the village defenses -Status: In progress -Gamma has collapsed the tunnel-Sigma has patched the hole
5) Destroy the high-value targets -Status: In Progress
Post order next round: N/A

Alpha, job complete, would simply slink back into the shadows taking up a position in cover in case they needed to cause a distraction before they dematerialized. Beta however slowed in their quiet sneaking sighing with distinct annoyance to have been caught out so easily as they gazed both upon the Troopmon atop the roofs and at the ones gradually moving to surround her. Well she supposed she could at lest make a nice distraction for Eris Prime and without so much as a work quickly drew their side, stepped back out of reach of the two Digimon circling to grab her, and moved to shoot the one on the right in the knee.
The real Eris mimicked her clones annoyed sigh, but kept their radio dead not deeming the response worth replying to as they slowly veered back towards the Watch Tower. Moving at a cautious pace so as to not attract attention.
Beta uses -Tactical Shot: Eris draws a pistol from her belt and fires at her opponent. The bullets homing in on the target. Cooldown none.
Eris continues to use -Active Camo: Eris activates a device on her belt producing a thin forcefield over her form causing her to visually blend in perfectly with her surroundings and muffles her footsteps, noise, and scent, but does prevent disturbances in her surroundings from her own movements. Lasts three turns in combat breaking if Eris takes damage or attacks. Can be used indefinitely outside of combat. Cooldown two turns.

Hickory gave a relieved smile as the Gigimon followed him. "Okay! Let's find a place to hide!" he said, then led them back the way they had came. Just... where could they hide though? The Chuumon thought quickly, panting, holding a paw to his body where he had been injured the most, looking around desperately. For a moment he considered returning to the destroyed guard tower or even the tunnel from which they came, but quickly realized they were foolish options. They had been marks of previous flash points in the base and would surely be places where the enemy would deploy additional troops.
But then, realizing that Jorge had seemed to clear the building next to them, he then had an idea. "Under the stairs!" he whispered urgently to the Gigimon. "Let's all dig, fast as possible! We'll hide under here!" and at once, with all his strength, he'd punch and kick and dig and try his best to make an entrance for the baby digimon to stay and hide, hopefully in safety.
Skye meanwhile was quickly depleting herself of her energy as she returned fire in retreat. Crescemon's attack had hit her hard, and worse still, Crescemon evaded her attack. She eliminated the Tankmon at least though. But the counter-attack was withering. Skye's wings beat strong and she did her best to evade, but the attacks were coming at her from everywhere. About half managed to strike her successfully, leaving her in a strong state of pain. She seethed.
'How many have I killed today?' Skye thought. 'The Troopmon, the Tankmon... Ten? Twenty? How many more will I kill...?'
But she cast those thoughts aside and reassured herself. 'I have killed none of them. All of their data was spared. They will be reborn in the Village of Beginnings. Hopefully in their next lives they will be taken under the wing of better digimon... maybe brought to Rosewood, where Owen will teach them a better way of life?'.
Still, the final objective of this mission... Skye had found it abhorrent at first, but, now, she was feeling less headstrong with that. These digimon were going as low as using baby digimon as hostages, seemingly prepared to harm and kill them. That such digimon were holding this village hostage... Skye was more and more inclined to cast away the benefit of the doubt and destroy these monsters. No wonder Silence wanted its leader utterly destroyed. Skye was beginning to understand now.
Well, she was in the middle of all this, and so she'd act. She saw Crescemon aiming her attack at her, then the DeathAngewomon gave a determined grimace as the Moonlight Beam was launched.
Skye had learned long ago that neither light nor darkness would ever rule the world. The strongest light cast the strongest shadow after all. That was a reality that was imbued with her the moment she had evolved to this form. Fire consumed and fire destroyed, that was especially potent to the DeathAngewomon, yet to her, light and shadow were powers that would not easily harm her.
And so she counter-attacked, flying straight through Crescemon's Moonlight Beam. She flinched from the pain, but it was manageable. She had to stay strong for their plan to work, to keep them from hurting the others.
"What kind of monster are you that you'd go as far as threatening baby digimon?" she asked, closing in to firing range. Skye would aim her Death Cross directly into the Crescemon's eye, and fire.
Meanwhile, Jorge, now satisfied that the coast was clear, took a deep breath, then ran into the storage building, quickly searching for a place where he could remain both hidden, and see if there were any innocents inside. He had to make sure there were no hostages in here. The Shoutmon would do his best to hide behind corners and hide as he scouted the building, hoping that he'd be able to quickly confirm if the building was safe to call a bombardment in on.
Hickory tries to get the Gigimon to dig under the unoccupied building in order to hide.
Soul Force duration - 2/3 turns.
Things Can Only Get Feta duration - 3/3 turns.
Skye takes about half the damage from the Troopmons' Autoshot.
Skye does not attempt to evade Moonlight Beam and flies straight at Crescemon to close distance. She takes half damage due to her passive ability, but her speed is slowed by -5% to a total of -10% due to Crescemon's passive, halved by Soul Force.
Combat Passive: O Daughter of Babylon - In walking the path of one neither good or evil, Skye takes half damage from Light and Dark attacks up to Mega level strength. To offset this, Fire elemental attacks deal 50% more damage to her.
Skye fires a Death Cross at close range, aimed at Crescemon's eye.
Death Cross - Skye aims her magic crossbow, charges it with energy, then fires a powerful, precise shot at the enemy. [Cooldown: 1 turn]
Soul Force duration - 2/3 turns.
Things Can Only Get Feta duration - 3/3 turns.
Hell Crossfire cooldown - 1/1.
Death Cross cooldown - 0/1.
Jorge makes a run for the Storage Building, entering it, then makes a sweep to ensure that there are no hostages kept inside.

With the data arrows lodged into the four machines' systems, it was only a matter of seconds before Cion could unleash her ultimate attack to vanquish them for good. Just as she drew her futuristic bow while being attached to the side of the rampart... they, instead of retaliating, slumped down? "Really? ... That was... anticlimactic." She commented quietly, pure bafflement tainting her face. Blinking a couple of times, she eventually sighed and shrugged, deciding to enjoy the view of the night for a few moments. Gosh, these Tankmons had been pushovers. Would a frontal assault have saved time? Perhaps, but alas the past was set in stone.
.o('Apparently...')o. The vulpine sentinel responded rather relaxedly, utilizing the fact that her scout was capable of reading thoughts. Scratching her cheek in minor and temporary disbelief of what had happened, she softly bit her lower lip. Deactivating her nifty gadgets, she landed on the soft grass beneath her to rejoin Puma in their secondary quest to seal the entrance of this titanic wall. Quite suddenly, the Psychemon's words claimed her attention, causing her to fold her arms and wonder what the little, female rascal was possibly on about. After all, the Rookie's presence had its positive and negative sides.
"Oh?" Cion accidentally allowed this remark of surprise to escape her maw. Telekinesis... why was she not surprised to be witness of this ability? And by golly was it useful tonight, given how seemingly easy it was for small reptile to lift up both giant doors made out of reinforced steel. Okay... maybe not that simple considering the kid's expression of strain, hence she had to hurry up. .o('Well this renders my previous back and forth, and planning, pointless.')o. She openly voiced her notions, though she was clearly far from ungrateful. The convenient deus ex machina was appreciated regardless of the CyberSagitamon's querulousness.
Gladly following the instructions of this mission's narrator, she utilized the tools at her disposal, especially those in the local shack, to render the inlet inaccessible. With a minute or two likely passing the duo by, the deed was ultimately accomplished. Standing close to the child whom she kindly bestowed an instance of repose, she would have contacted her employees if it was not for the fact that the signal was jammed. In lieu thereof the fennec turned to her companion. .o('Excellent work. Next pit stop - the prison?')o.
