In just a moment, Jazz’s expression went from being excited to being… kind of sad. “I guess you don’t have it.” She muttered. Just like Katherine thought, the girl was not able to become a digimon… at least not yet. But she had her D-Tector, and it was going to happen sooner or later.
“That’s okay.” Actually, Yomi didn’t seem at all interested in knowing more about that device, or this world at all. It was clear she just needed to get out of here as soon as possible. “I understand. Undying curiosity is the need to know everything a world has to offer. Jazz and I just can’t stop exploring, can’t stop gathering information and discovering new stuff. It is a drag sometimes, but overall, it has brought us great experiences too.” Saying that it was something that only brought good things would be lying. Still, it wasn’t like if they got a saying in that.
“For how long have you been in here?” Jazz addressed the girl with broken glasses again, tilting her head. “If it’s not for too long, I’m sure your family and friends won’t even notice you were gone.”
Katherine giggled upon hearing Yomi take a shot at the city’s name. “That’s right. I’m taking you to our settlement. I’m sure someone there is going to be able to get you back home through a portal.” She showed another grin to her peer, while they kept walking. “You landed in the ugliest place inside the Digital World, the Dark Area. It’s always dark and gloomy here, and there is a bunch of evil digimon.” The green-eyed just went on with her explanation. “However, there is a lot of good digimon here too, who just want to have normal lives inside this place that, after all, is their home. The city is going to give a place for those digimon to live in peacefully. A good one, at least, not like… this.” The teenager frowned, looking around Fragment Village, while they got out of town.
“Well, this is it.” Now that they were actually out of the city and (probably) no one was watching, it was time for them to use a more effective conveyance than… their feet. The girl took her digivice out and pointed it to Jazz. This wasn’t a form her partner had used too much, but so far it had performed excellently.
A beam of light engulfed Jazz’s body. The pig-girl’s appearance started to change. It was an all-out transformation.
When the light faded, a white, giant beast was standing in front of them. It had strong legs and bird-like feet, a beak and green eyes like an emerald. It’s most eye-catching feature was its huge, white wings. It was definitely an imposing-looking beast.
Immediately, the Hippogriffomon crouched a bit, leaning his head forward. Katherine immediately climbed to the beast’s back and extended her hand to Yomi.
“Come on.” She said. “Don’t worry, it’s safe.”
