Well, these two were certainly in a bind. Despite Vemmon trying his best to direct Ramma behind their foe, Bolgmon had no intention of letting anyone get near him. It was almost an impossible endeavor, and Vemmon's little mind link had opened up a far worse can of worms in the shape of 'everything that hurts Ramma hurts him, and vice versa.'
All Vemmon could do was try keeping them at bay. "This is insane--he wasn't doing this when he was down there with the dragon!" He couldn't even stop to attack. He had to focus all his efforts on not being annihilated by the beetle.
I can't help there--I'm -very- limited with what I can do in this form. I guess we just need to survive until he overheats. I do not know when that will be, however.
"This is an awful game! I want out." Mao noted in response to the game master's words, before she looked at Tsu. "...I think I can hold the fort down, sure. I have an...idea. Might end up getting me hurt, but..." That's most of her ideas. "...Just go. Help your friends." So, the idea went something like this.
According to the game, Mao was a princess, right? So therefore, she was important. What if she abused that importance? Mao emerged from her cover behind the box and shouted, at the top of her lungs, "HEY, QUIT SHOOTING MY FRIEND!"
...It sounded like an order. But would such a thing work? At least as a distraction?

Every princess had to do what it had to do. Still wearing her bright pink dress that matched her hair, Tsukiko gave a firm nod to Mao, to then turn at the third princess. “Ramma! I need you to clear the way out of here for me!”Luckily enough, the Mamemon knew exactly what this meant. He ran towards Vemmon, dodging the rounds coming from the Bolgmon, who seemed restless in his endeavor. Maybe the monster wasn't that smart to notice, but all of this had been done to make the Bolgmon face the opposite side, Tsukiko was able to get out of behind the crates, running towards the edge of the platform. Slowly, she gave the last couple of steps up front, staring down, into the distant floor. The distance was abysmal. She could barely see the red dragon she had previously seen in the screen. She was high above. Very high. “It’s just a game… it’s just a game…” Tsukiko closed her eyes and repeated herself this over and over again.
Just some meters behind the pink haired girl, the Bolgmon kept shooting Ramma and Vemmon, who were barely able to dodge its last shots. This couldn’t go on for much longer. Ramma was very much aware of that. This is why Mao’s shouting was almost a miracle for the duo fighting the final boss. A bit startled, the monster turned its body towards the girl. Ramma had his eyes wide open, a bit shocked to hear Mao yell like that. “I thought he wasn’t… your friend.” With this, the monster had turned its back at Ramma and Vemmon. Before they could do any move, the coated digimon’s voice reached everyone in the platform. “Oops! I think the first member of the second group has died!” A set of holographic pictures appeared next to the screen that was showing the battle down at the ground floor, showing the faces of the heroes: Vemmon, Pike, Mitsuharu and Kissu. The Thunderballmon’s picture turned black and white. “P-Pike…!” Ramma clenched his teeth, smashing his fist against the ground. He tried to remind himself what he had heard earlier. This was a game, right? He was not going to really die. This thought was the only thing keeping him from going crazy right now. “W-WHAT!? IS SHE INSANE!?” The tone of voice of the coated villain had turned much less arrogant and had become completely astonished. The screen that was previously aiming towards Mitsuharu and Kissu about to be roasted, was now pointing at a human figure, falling from the sky. In silence, everyone in the platform looked at the development. “Tsu… Tsukiko!?” Ramma managed to utter. In any case, it was time for Vemmon and Pike to make their move. "Alien! Throw me against that button!"Mao, and everyone looking at the screen, would be able to see what was happening down below.
Things didn’t look good for the Ashikagas and Pike either. The amount of energy they could feel drawing towards the Megidramon’s body was brutal. It was so big the trio even had to cling into the ground to avoid being dragged towards the dragon's body. The technique that was about to come at them was just too strong. “I … don’t think we’re going to make it, everyone.” Kissu, who was now glowing in a purple light, confessed. “I’m ready to launch my strongest technique, but … I think there’s no way we can survive to this monster’s attack. He’s just too strong." “Damn it!” Mitsuharu yelled, out of pure frustration. “We were so close!" His eyes closed, the Bushiagumon's countenance denoted grief and exasperation. Both him and Pike had thrown all of their techniques to the dragon, but nothing could stop him from charging up that blast he was about to launch. "Is there really nothing we can do!?"“I can’t let it end like this!” Like a bullet being shot, a glimmering burst of electricity went jutted against the Megidramon. Pike had propelled himself against the enemy, trying to punch the dragon. However, the fire shield the dragon bestowed from charging his attack just sent the Thunderballmon jutted back against the floor. “Kid! Are you okay!?” Kissu yelled. Pike was completely still, and his body had turned to a dark grey color. Mitsuharu just stared at the scene, his eyes wide open. He was completely stunned. Only a swarm of questions started flooding his head. What did that even mean? Was he dead? Was he out of the game? Or did he actually die? Why was this happening? He only wanted to save his brother, he only wanted to help. It was not fair. It was just not fair. They had gone through so much. Was it really going to end like this? Why? How come? “DAMN IT!” Mitsuharu roared into the sky. The silence was only broken by the echo of his words. Everything else, besides the flowing sound of Megidramon's technique gathering energy, was completely silent. The echo of the Samurai's shout was penetrated by some other yelling. It started as a fade voice, but it was slowly getting closer. Where was it coming from? Right? Nope. Left? Nah. Up. “MITSUHARU!” Prolonging that last vocal, a dressed-like-princess Tsukiko was falling from the sky at high speed. “SENSEI!”E V O L U T I O N
A white glow of energy began covering the Bushiagumon’s body, slowly engulfing it. At first, he thought he was armor evolving. But no, this was different. This time, there was no Digimental. His body was starting to change by itself. He was acquiring a humanoid form, his sword was growing in size and his body was being covered by armor. Kissu pointed her staff at Tsukiko, making her stop right before she slammed the ground, and gently putting her on the floor. The pink-haired girl took her digivice out of her pocket, to take a look at the device. Reading the words on the screen, the girl was only able to mutter. “Evo… lution?”Not too far from her, standing up to the giant dragon, there was a samurai-like warrior, wearing what seemed to be a purple cape and definitely not a friendly stare. “SHOOT! I DARE YOU!”The dragon didn’t take long to abide. However, all the fire, as massive as it was the number of flames, being thrown everywhere, was getting redirected towards the Samurai. It was all merging with Mitsuharu’s body, not touching neither Tsukiko, Kissu or Pike. All the fire that had come out of the explosion was being absorbed. by the Samurai. Every last bit. “DO IT NOW, KISSU GRANDMA!”
It was very likely the dragon was not ready to attack again. If so, it was Kissu’s time to end this.

"Allies can count as friends, can they not?" Mao gave a swift explanation to Ramma. Her attention was then stolen by the screen. Wait, Tsu JUMPED?! "...TSU-CHAN!" What the actual HELL was she thinking doing that? While she watched the events unfold upon that scream, Vemmon ran towards Ramma, and with a heft, attempted to hurl the Mamemon right at the back of the Bolgmon, where the button they needed to press was!
Meanwhile, down there, Megidramon was honestly surprised that one of these little gnats would give their lives just to prolong the other two. More shockingly, someone else fell from the sky. Was...that one of the princesses? "...That's not...in the script..." The Megidramon uttered as his flames were swallowed by the Musyamon.
In turn, his strongest move was effectively nothing. The Babamon was free to attack.

The complete insanity Tsukiko had shown by jumping off the platform, had definitely left both the coated Digimon and Bolgmon completely astonished. This gave the perfect window of time for Vemmon to manage a pretty decent throw of Ramma at the metallic monster.
“Here I go!” The Mamemon extend his hand to reach the red button, finally pushing it. It burnt a bit, but the results were immediate. The sound of a computer turning off became pretty audible for everyone at the platform.
“What!? No!” It was just then when the game master noticed what the group on the platform had accomplished. Bolgmon had now lowered his head and arms, completely shutting down “Shoot! They actually did it! I was defeated by a princess!"
Had his calculations missed by not taking into account the princesses were an important asset?
Meanwhile, the image of Mitsuharu at the small screens projected around the platform turned black and white too, much like Pike’s.
Mitsuharu had received all of this flames without letting go a single squeal of pain. The only look he was showing through all of this was one determination. However, it was too much for him. After taking the last piece of blazing fire into his body, he fell to the ground, completely unconscious. His body turned to a dark tonality, very much like Pike’s.
Her will untouched, and without thinking further about this, Kissu held her broom with her right hand and pointed at the giant dragon. “This is the end!” The elder’s body was glowing in a purple, bright color.
The elder started stirring her left hand, in short, quick movements. For each of these movements, she’d throw a kiss at Megidramon. When she was done, nine balls of energy were swirling around her, taking the shape of skulls.
“What are… those?” Tsukiko was staring at the Babamon. She had never seen her use this technique. However, the energy she was feeling in the environment was definitely overwhelming.
Kissu moved her broom up and then down, sending all of the skulls straight against the monster. Upon contact, they would all explode at the same time, sending Tsukiko and Kissu herself jutted backward. The explosion was so big, so massive, it made the whole hall tremble, even making the coated game master fall off his little platform, back into the platform Mao and the others were standing. Everything was shaking, and it remained like this for a while. The roar of the 'boom' was deafening.
Down below, the pink haired girl had rolled on the floor multiple times, her dress even ripping apart at certain spots. Well, maybe now she would be as naked-ish as Mao was. Her blue eyes went to the curtain of smoke that had left the discharge. When the smoke cleared… what would they see?
So...? Was this finally over?
Battle Log: Healing counter (times an ally has been healed by any of Kissu's abilities): 9.
Kissu's attack power was raised by 90%!
Kissu-Kissu Burst: Just to perform this attack, Kissu sees her attack power raised by 10% ‘X’ times. This boost will be eliminated after the technique is performed. Kissu throws exactly ‘X’ deadly kisses to the opponent. These kisses, in the form of purple skulls, gather around the opponent, to then implode at the same time. Each kiss deals a massive amount of damage. X equals the number of times an ally or Kissu herself has been healed by any of Kissu’s abilities or effects. Can only be used once per thread. X= 9.
Kissu threw 9 deadly kisses at Megidramon.

"My NAME is Mao Kita, you moron! I'm not just a princess, I'm someone with a GODDAMN BRAIN." One couldn't really blame Mao for feeling proud of her distraction actually paying off--though, at the same time, you could also argue that Tsu's stunt had worked just as well. Nonetheless? Bolgmon was down. Vemmon practically flopped on his back in relief. "I don't like bugs." He decided.
The Megidramon was honestly kinda stunned at how the Musyamon just swallowed his strongest attack with almost no repercussions. In truth? That alone probably would've been grounds to surrender. If, you know, he weren't a all-consuming fire dragon. He opened his maw to charge up an attack before the Babamon finally acted, attacking him with a barrage of 9 (exactly nine) skulls, and they all exploded. It was a spectacular scene--one that wouldn't look too out of place if seen in an action movie. The shaking of the platform up above ended up making Mao lose her balance as she watched the screen. And when all was said and done, when the smoke finally cleared? There was only the Megidramon, turning into dust. "Con...grat...ulations....
You...won..." So yes. The battle had been won. But was the war truly over?

It seemed like it was. Megidramon had vanished into nothingness in front of Pike and Mitsuharu’s unconscious bodies. Tsukiko just stared dumbfounded. What was… that? The amount energy Kissu had released in that technique, was something she had never, ever, witnessed since getting to the Digital World. A panting Kissu, still holding her staff tightly, was still staring at the pile of dust. Everything in the layout around the Ashikagas and Pike’s body just started becoming bits of data. For Kissu, at first it seemed as if they were going into another level once again, but this time it was different, everything around there just remained dark for some seconds. It was as if someone had turned off all the lights, until… credits started to appear.
Exhausted too, mainly from the stress this had caused on him, Ramma just plumbed on the floor too, while he stared, eyes wide open, at Mao yelling at the game master. Bolgmon, on its side, just became a pile of ashes in front of them. “It can’t be. It’s over already?” The coated digimon asked himself, melancholically. With a snap of his fingers, everything just turned dark, and they all appeared next to Tsukiko and Kissu. “Hi there.” Tsukiko waved at her princesses’ companions. The letters going through the empty dark void showed credits like ‘Script’, ‘Technical support’ or ‘Development’. However, all the credits went to the same being: ‘Lego.’ Tsukiko remembered what the game master had said in that first broadcast that now seemed to have been ages ago. "...who had been kidnapped by the evil Lego! Please hurry up, before this evil villain hurts your princesses!"
"Wait..." The pink-haired girl's eyes went to the digimon, whose disappointment was visible even through his coat. "So you're the evil villain Lego?""Uh?" He shifted his gaze towards the human, a bit surprised she was asking such a thing. "No, that was my part in the game. I'm just Lego, see?"The credits for the cast had started rolling in. Some interesting credits like ‘Pink princess: Pink haired human’, ‘Half-naked princess: Orange haired human’ could be read, among the rest of the cast, who were, obviously, the digimon involved in this, from Ramma to Kissu. Right at the end of this section ‘Evil villain Lego: Lego’, could be read. “So you’re not an evil mastermind, you just… developed a game.” Ramma said, blinking with disbelief, looking at the digimon. Lego took off his coat, revealing a digimon composed of bright colors and a very odd lego-like structure. In one of his hands, he was holding some sort of metallic glove with almost-human fingers. His other hand, with no glove, had an odd shape, with fingers that didn't seem, at all, easy to snap. So those were the fingers he was snapping to do stuff. Not even real fingers. At the end of the credits, the words ‘Final statistics’ were shown. Numbers of how everyone had performed began to appear. Babamon had inflicted the most damage with her technique, while Vemmon was named the 'best support player'. In the ‘defeated’ section, images of Mitsuharu and Pike could be seen. “What do you mean defeated? This is a game right? They are waking up, right!?” Ramma raised her voice, addressing Lego. “Of course. Just wait for the credits to finish.” The Toyagumon sighed. He still seemed a bit sad. ‘You have sucessfuly embarked in an adventure to save a damsel in distress in a world where everyone has the same chances. Welcome to the new age.
Thanks for playing Arcaria’ Once the final statement was shown, the absolute darkness that was around them, started lighting up. Where were they going to appear now? That was probably what everyone was wondering. “We’re going back into reality now.” Lego explained, while Mitsuharu and Pike opened their eyes slowly, standing up “Pike!” Ramma ran towards the Thunderballmon, giving him a hug. “I’m so glad you’re up again.” Tsukiko crouched and gave a warm smile to Mitsuharu, who was now back to being a BushiAgumon. By now, Vemmon should be disappearing. Outside of the game, he couldn’t be seen by everyone. It was time to go back to Mao’s D-tector. Probably the glassed girl should take the opportunity to ask some questions to Lego.

And just like that, it was over. Mao was just glaring at the crappy GM/DM/Whatever™ with fire in her eyes before everything went dark and she had been transported somewhere with Tsu and everyone else. The credits were something she didn't pay much attention to, but she did take offense at 'half-naked princess.' "Hey, I'm a pharaoh or something! Not a half-naked princess!" She had a right to take offense to that, right? Right?
Nonetheless, she quieted down and waited for the credits to end. The mastermind was just a lego...dinosaur? That was odd... "...They should wake up...Unless they actually died..." Mao muttered, before she looked to Vemmon. Who glanced down at himself. Much like an overrated superhero movie's twist?
He was fading away. "...I think this is the part where I tell you that I don't feel so good. I figured this was going to happen. I enjoyed being alive again for a bit. But, you two are more important than I. That's why I decided to help. So...It was nice getting to meet you in person, Mao Kita. Let's see what comes next." The alien faded into dust. Dust that promptly flew into Mao's D-Tector, turning into little bits of light midflight.
She turned to Tsukiko and her crew. "Well, uh...that happened. What were you thinking back there?" She asked of Tsu. "...You could've actually died!"

For the first time actually looking completely not guilty, Lego just shrugged at Mao’s question. “I managed to connect to a human internet network, and just looked for ‘ancient princesses’ on the web. I found that outfit there, but I’ve got no idea of what you are.” His tone of voice still denoted some disappointment, while he pouted.
Tsukiko and Mao would also notice their outfit was actually back to what they were wearing before entering Arcaria. What was previously pitch darkness and nothing else, had lightened up into a species of… laboratory. A very elaborated laboratory with all kinds of computers everywhere. Abandoned robots where also laying around, along with some metallic junk and garbage. The whole place was… pretty much a mess.
Seeing that Ramma didn’t have her princess outfit anymore was another proof that they were back at reality.
“Well…” Tsukiko took a step back, scratching the back of her head. “I did it precisely because I knew I couldn’t actually die. It was a game!” It was nice to see Mao worried about her, though. “I just couldn’t be deterred by the fact it looked so real, I just took a breath and took the leap!”
“Sensei is well known for doing dangerous stuff without asking anyone's permission.” Mitsuharu walked towards the two girls talking. The samurai cleared his throat and introduced himself. “It’s very nice to meet you, damsel.” He offered a respectful bow to Mao. “My name is Mitsuharu Ashikaga. I suppose you were the princess the alien was looking for, so I’ll thank you for sticking with Sensei for while it was needed.” No one could say he had no manners.
“You did good, darling.” Kissu also joined the conversation, showing a smile to Mao. “I’m Kissu Ashikaga.”
“This is my clan, Mao.” A grin had appeared on Tsukiko’s face, and it was a pretty wide one.
“Mao~ru!” Ramma jumped from the floor, gripping onto the glassed girl’s head, pointing his index finger at… Lego, who was slowly walking away. “You two can’t let him escape just like that. Come on! Make some questions!”

"Pharaohs are kings! Usually of card games but mostly kings." Mao felt some relief at no longer wearing that embarrassing outfit, anyways. Her usual ensemble of her jacket, a tank top and some shorts was back. And that was perfectly fine. The girl peered around at the lab, before she glanced to Tsu.
"Only reason I yelled at the beetle guy to stop was because I figured he couldn't shoot a princess, myself. So...Yeah, I guess we're even in doing dangerous things." She turned towards Mitsuharu, and...bowed in return. Huh, who knew she could do respectful gestures? "...Yeah. I'm the one wielding Vemmon's spirit. My name's Mao." So this was a whole...clan?
Not the weirdest thing in the world when you've went up against a family of fucking apes.
Mao then turned her attention towards Lego, walking towards him and setting a hand on his (plastic) head. "Hey. I still see you. Mind answering a question for me?" Here it comes...
"Why us? Why did you make Arcaria?"

“You yelled at the beetle guy!?” So… yeah. Tsukiko didn’t know that.
“Vemmon was a very important ally in our victory. We’re glad you’re reunited.” Mitsuharu kept his very respectful tone.
"Apparently, outside of Arcaria, he doesn’t have any kind of magic power.” Ramma stared as Mao just leisurely walked towards the escaping toy-dinosaur and just picked him up. “Listen, second-hand toy: you better start giving us some answers.” As overdramatic as usually, Pike walked towards Lego too.
“So that’s your brother, right?” Tsukiko asked Ramma. “Y-Yes” The Mamemon nodded, blinking twice.
“Hey! Let me down now!” Lego started wagging his own body, trying to regain his freedom. It was futile. He was too tiny and weak. “Okay, okay! I yield! I will tell you everything but put me down!”
Once (if) Mao abided, and even if she didn’t, the ToyAgumon would clear his throat. “I’m a programmer. I’ve been trying to create an alternate reality for a long time. Some other world where everyone has the same power level. That was Arcaria. A place where no one could bully me because I was too weak.” Lego showed a bit of a sad countenance as he explained this last part.
“So we were never in danger?” Mitsuharu merged with the conversation.
“Of course you weren’t! It was all virtual reality. I just sent that email with the invitation to a bunch of random users and you just happened to be the first to accept and fill all the roles. The mail was programmed to absorb everyone at a certain radius around the D-Terminal.” Lego pointed his hand at a screen inside the lab. It explained the whole process of recruiting with images and diagrams. “Once the rolls were filled, the mail was erased from every other D-Terminal it reached.”
Pike looked around the layout of the facility while Lego spoke. “Wait… Ramma and I were at our own lab in Terminus before all of this started. Is your program able to get us back there?”
While the conversation was held, Tsukiko explored the lab. Over one of the desks, she found a small chip. It was of a red bright color and had a piece of paper with the words ‘D-3 Upgrade’ written next to it. For some reason, she felt the urge to take it. Hopefully, Lego wouldn’t mind. Not after everything he had made them go through, right? She just took it and placed it inside the pocket of her jeans.
Lego’s response came, and it wasn’t very well received by everyone. “I’m afraid… it’s not. I only made it so it could bring you here into my lab and into the game. It can’t get you back to where you were before getting here.”
Crap.

"Yep! Got his attention and everything before Vemmon threw Ramma at him." In hindsight, it worked disturbingly well. Mao would set Lego down, gently. Plastic can be fragile sometimes. "Okay, I was going to put you down either way. So...relax."
The human wasn't quite expecting the explanation to be a simple case of 'people bullied me so I decided to try pursuing a world of true equality by doing virtual reality.' That revelation also hit a little closer to home than Mao had anticipated. It was oddly difficult to look the ToyAgumon in the face. "...Yeah. I guess know that feeling..." Mao mumbled.
She didn't expect the architect of what was honestly the weirdest experience she had in this world to more or less have something awful in common with her. Both being weak and all.
The spirit wielder's attention was quickly drawn back into reality. "Well, uh...I'm gonna assume neither of us have Digiports or anything, right? Because otherwise this is gonna be pretty awkward...Being trapped in a lab. While also not knowing what's around us...Hey, Lego, um...How well do you know the area around here? Because we could use some help being led out...I-I'm sorry if I'm asking for a lot."

It was clear for Tsukiko Lego’s reason to create this videogame had some effect on Mao. And, in all honesty, the Ashikaga was not alien (no pun intended) to any of this either. She knew how feeling different to everyone else and being mistreated because of that was like. Quietly, and now having the chip she had found on that table, Tsukiko went back to the group. She decided to just refrain from words for now.
Pike, on his side, was not keen on forgiving the Toyagumon, but there wasn’t much they could actually do. Torturing him wouldn’t give back anything to them.
“I guess that now that we know your reasons, there isn’t much left to ask.” The Thunderballmon pouted, while Tsukiko and Mitsuharu walked towards the only door the whole place had. “Maybe we can try this again next time. Just send us a mail, and make sure to politely request our participation and not sucking us in.” Ramma suggested, kindly giving a supporting smile to the plastic creature, noticing he was still feeling a bit down. “Yes. It could be fun.” Kissu nodded. “This time I won’t die. I can promise you that.” Mitsuharu muttered in an audible enough tone of voice, while he walked away to the door.
Finally, Lego mustered a dubious smile. It was nice to see people didn’t loathe him because of what he had done. They seemed to had got over it pretty quickly. And, in all honesty, the group felt like they had to, since there was now something more important to focus on: getting out of there.
“I’m sorry, princess.” He said, speaking to Mao. “I’ve been living here since I was born. I’m too afraid to go out to the surface, so I’m really not sure on how to do it.”
“To the… surface?” Pike quirked an eyebrow.
Tsukiko had opened that only door the lab had. The good news? It was the exit. The bad news? Well…
Hers and Mitsuharu’s eyes widened, as their sight only expanded A LOT more. The place was huge. Like, truly gigantic. The door had led them to a road. It seemed like Lego's laboratory was just an establishment inside a much bigger town. In the distance, they could see what seemed to be a city made with junk and metallic parts. If they looked up, they would only meet the dark brown color of the walls of the dome-like structure containing all of this, including them. It all made sense now. They were actually underground.
“Yes. This is an underground civilization. I would even go as far to say it’s an underground world. Multiple towns, a city, all kinds of digimon living. We’ve got everything we need down here.” Lego then turned to Mao. “You’re not trapped in this lab. I guess you can get out and look for the way out to the surface. I can even point you to a local inn, I’m sure the innkeeper can help you with that.” He explained. “I do know there are some high-security measures down here right now, so you can’t get out with a portal, even if you had one to create.” Lego cleared his throat to finish his words with a welcome. “I guess I have to say… welcome to the Hardware Den.”
There are times where you just… stand there, just staring at the horizon. Shocked because of seeing something that you simply weren’t prepared for. This didn’t happen to me when I saw Mitsuharu evolve into that samurai or when I found myself wearing that stupid dress earlier. But it definitely happened when I looked at the immensity of the place we have ended up in. It seemed like the troubles Arcaria had brought us were far from being over.
