"I told you there was something weird about that guy!"
"They didn't look that bad at first..." "Well yeah, they were sleeping, but then you woke them up!"Vulin and Fennel would pant lightly, as they jogged their way down the road thru the Flatlands; a bit winded after a somewhat chaotic close call. The two had heard things about these weird towers, and initially were a bit curious.... Though that quickly had proven to be a mistake, when they ended up disturbing one of the strange digimon guarding the spires, and had been chased off for a good distance! It was only recently that the digimon had given up the chase and turned back, though the duo were still going at it at a jog; somewhat nervous that if they looked over their shoulders, they'd see the large beast bearing down on them out of nowhere! "What was their deal, anyways...?" Vulin wondered out loud, huffing a bit as he chanced a small glance behind them - still clear, thankfully. Normally he'd rise to the challenge of fighting such a tough-looking digimon, though they had been pretty caught off-guard - and Fennel was insistent about getting out of there when it happened. "Were they guarding that tower-thingy?""I guess so, I've been hearing weird things about those spire-looking deals though..." Fennel responded, scratching his chin a bit in thought. "Feels like they've come up out of nowhere,"Vulin would make a soft 'hrmm', frowning a bit at first, though... It'd only take a second before he would glance over to Fennel, and smile. "Well... It was pretty exciting, at least!" The ever-so-positive Vorvomon chirped. "Maybe we'll go back for a round two, after we get a bit stronger!"Fennel glanced over in Vulin's direction after a second, and though he wouldn't necessarily say he was looking forward to it, he'd smile back nonetheless. "Heh, yeah." He'd agree with a nod - the two slowing in their steps into a more casual walk, as they bumped their claws together. It'd be then that Fennel would glance ahead, and notice - "Oh, hey, we're almost there!"Vulin would follow Fennel's gaze, to see what Fennel had seen - and indeed, Vulin would find himself gazing up towards the great cliffs that made up the Valley of Dragons. The path ahead was a straight-shot thru the canyons, though Vulin could see the different ledges and crevices, where there were likely dens that belonged to some of the native dragon digimon here! There was a certain homely feeling that he found in this place - perhaps due to being a dragon digimon himself - and he was almost tempted to go on ahead and explore the cliff sides if it weren't for Fennel's flightlessness! Still, Vulin would utter a soft "Woaaahhh," as he glanced around - awe apparent. Fennel, on the other hand, felt perhaps a little smaller in this place - he recognized that they'd best keep their head low if they didn't want to draw the wrong type of attention from a more aggressive digimon, much like the one they had run into before. He couldn't take away that curiosity that Vulin had though - and he couldn't deny his own curiosity, even if he lacked the flight that'd make navigating the cliff faces all the easier. Sure, he could climb - but that'd be a pain on his arms, and some of the ledges looked a bit treacherous even for him! "Are we just finding a spot here to rest, or going on through?" Fennel would ask Vulin - glancing to the other. Having paused to admire their surroundings, Fennel was catching his breath - though he still wanted to check on his sibling. "I can keep going!" Vulin would respond confidently, already bouncing on ahead down the road. He wanted to explore, he wanted to see who he could meet out here! Maybe if he was lucky, they could find someone who could teach them something? They were dragon digimon too, after all! Overall though, Vulin was at least confident that they'd be able to get thru just fine - sure, there could be tough digimon out here, but noone bad would bother them, yeah?

Today had been just another normal day for Falzure; she had woken up. helped with her siblings and father before turning her own attention and ministrations to her own passion of sculpting. Frustration and such non-withstanding at the previous few days attempts. Those slagged husks sitting empty near the furthest reaches away from the center of her little 'abode'. Sometimes the things she made didn't quite turn out the way she wanted to and would often more than not lead to well... This issue.
The Vorvomon would hum a little bit and work quietly on her sculptures for a good chunk of what she perceived to be the morning. Up until one of her siblings came trotting into the reaches of her humble crafting spot. It didn't take long for the young digimon to perk and address her younger brother.
"Jas what's the matter?"
"Lucky said some mon's got chased into our territory by one of those guards out of the flatlands. Somewhere out by the canyons."
"are they... hurt?"
"Not from what Lucky said, but you know his vision isn't really good. Father wanted you to check it out. He's currently dealing with a new clutch."
"Oh! Okay! Well hopefully they aren't hurt, the last group was bandits right? What type of mons are they?"
"Uh... Two dragons. A vorvomon and a Monodramon I think. Like I said Lucky's eyesight isn't the best."
"All right. I'll go check it out, tell Lucky he did good!"
Her younger brother nodded his head and took off towards where the nursey was. Most of her brood kept under her father's watchful eye while the oldest out of them well.. That was her! It made sense that she kept herself out here; she wouldn't mess with any of her younger siblings and they wouldn't see her as a threat to them.
She'd take the time to fly over to the entry-point of the canyons. It wasn't much of an issue for her to really fly, her form was larger than most of her siblings that struggled with flight. Even her father was a little surprised with it from time to time.
The massive cliffs and ledges that made up this area would be dizzying to most that weren't from around here. Those that entered could get lost for days, or weeks without getting proper bearings. Which would just lead them to getting eaten by some of the more aggressive dragons during the night hunts.
Faluzre landed heavily on one of the cliffs, sniffing at the air and scrunching up her rocky snout as she recognized a handful of scents in the air but not a more recent pair. One of them smelled a lot like her family but had distinct bits that were not from here. Another was very foreign to her; in it's entirety she wouldn't even know what to call it if her brother hadn't told her what had been coming through the canyon.
Her stature and closeness to the edge of one of the cliffs only brought with it a slow certain melting process that the vorvomon wasn't exactly paying attention to. Without more than a surprise yelp the digimon felt the cliff nearest her give way as her natural heat melted through the stone she was standing on.
She'd bounce and slide down the side of the canyon landing a good twenty or so feet away from the twins. Upside down, looking somewhat stunned for a few moments as one of her wings flapped a little bit uselessly for the moment. A look of surprise, irritation and amusement flashed across her face as she slowly righted herself. Normally this would call for her shaking herself off, but her heat was doing a fine job at getting rid of any dust or the like that may of clung to her during the fall. Sporting a toothy grin she'd address the two.
"Seems like lucky was right... Hello there! New to the area?"

Up until Falzure's surprise arrival, the two had been idly making their way down the path - guessing that as long as they just kept in one direction, they'd get to the other end of this place - right? And if all else failed, they could just look for safer spots to climb their way up to the top, if they needed a quick - albeit exhausting - out. Vulin was sniffing the air and bouncing along, trying to figure out what kind of scents he could identify, though Fennel - even with his less sensitive nose - was the one that was good at identifying digimon, not him. Vulin would still try anyways though, he was curious!
"Smell anything?" Fennel would ask Vulin with a hint of amusement - clearly endeared at his sibling's enthusiasm- even if he himself was still cautiously keeping his eyes to the sky, for any signs of danger. "Tons of things! Mostly old smells though... Can't really pick anything out, eheh." Vulin chuckled and grinned in Fennel's direction, lifting his snout from the ground - the tip caked in dust that he'd brush off after a second. Fennel couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at this and snort, reaching over to pull in and give Vulin a noogie, "You're a dork," He'd state - to which Vulin would laugh and playfully try to push Fennel back, retorting "You're a dork! Dorkiest of dorks! The dorkmei-"
Vulin's playful tirade would be cut off as they suddenly heard something from above, the sound of something akin to stone against stone. Glancing up, the duo would see a black shape tumbling down the side of the canyon, much to their alarm. Fennel, at first, took a step back as Vulin placed himself between the shape and his twin - though once Falzure came to a stop a distance away from them, upside-down and stunned, the two would relax for a second. "Hey... Don't they sort of look like me...?" Vulin would comment curiously to Fennel, in a hushed tone. Fennel was about to respond, but didn't get much of a chance to before Vulin would approach Falzure.
As she gained her bearings and righted herself, the duo would quickly become aware that Falzure was, well... Definitely a bit larger than Vulin, perhaps she was older? Regardless, it gave Fennel a bit of pause - not sure if Vulin should be approaching her, even if she appeared friendly. You could never know with strangers, after all. He'd hang back a short distance - close enough to step in and help Vulin if things turned south, but far enough back that he felt like he wasn't putting himself in direct harms way if she did attack.
Inversely though, Vulin saw nothing dangerous about Falzure! He would smile brightly to her in response to her own grin, chirping "Yup! We're a couple of travelers!" He would puff his chest and smile proudly, looking almost like a boy scout who just got his first badge. "Are you okay though? You took a bit of a tumble there!" He asked - definitely a little concerned, and wanting to check up even if she seemed fine - it was a pretty decent height she fell from! "What's your name?"

Falzure would look herself over a little bit, noting some scrapes and scuffs here or there. She didn't take too bad of a tumble. She'd extend her wings a little bit and inspect them for damage thankfully none of which seemed to be too much. A chipped bit here, some scrapes there... Well. Considering how far she fell? Well. Wouldn't be really much of a surprise. That and falzure was a bit of a tough cookie all things considered.
Falzure would blink a few times staring at the duo, the initial comment she had missed. She was gifted with the view of an individual that looked much like a smaller version of herself. About half as big? Maybe? It was hard to get an exact understanding considering the distance between the two of them. She'd tilt her head a little bit staring at Vulin for a moment.
They approached her first, she was able to sort of get a better read on the individual. Her friendliness wasn't fake and a lot of mons that came through here got lost among the canyons. So it would pay off in the long run to help them through after all if more people made it through here more people would visit and she wouldn't be so bored! Though considering the sheer amount of dragons in the area she didn't really think that was going to change.
"Thought as much! You two don't really smell like you're from around here. Too much... other places on you."
She'd tilt her head a bit further as the other puffed out their chest, her eyes sweeping and shifting between the two of them. Were these two related to one another or just friends? Traveling companions? It was really hard to say but considering they smelled like a lot of the same things well... She'd blink again and find that grin growing a little more. Though she'd move a bit to check underneath her, the rock of which had been melting at a somewhat frustrating rate as she wasn't really paying attention to her control of it.
"Oh? Yeah. Past a couple scrapes and scuffs I seem to be okay. The heat I put off melts surfaces and stuff really quick so it softened a lot of it I think. Makes giving hugs and Handshakes really difficult to anyone other than my family REALLY difficult."
The large vorvomon let out a small laugh and shook her head; though at his query about her name she'd pause realizing that she hadn't even introduced herself after her tumble! Though to be fair she had more immediate concerns to deal with than that right?
"Oh! I'm Falzure! I'm the eldest most sister of the local Clutches my father watches over. What about you? What's your name? And what about hiiiiiiiis?"
Falzure would lean to look past at Fennel giving a small wave of her wing; her smile was still rather large and the toothy grin that she sported was still as big as ever. She had tons of questions herself but she wasn't exactly sure what to ask. So she started with a more simple one.
"Do you guys need help getting through here? It's a lot of rough terrain and uh. Lots of bigger dragons that aren't so friendly. Kind of a shame about that one really. If not there's a few caves that are good for shelter. But they're more at the edges past all the rocky bits. My family has a few that you could stay in if you need, no one really messes with our terf because of my Father. Though you'd have to meet him before staying."

"Well, it's good that you're okay!" Vulin would smile and nod in acknowledgement as Falzure mentioned that she was okay - it wouldn't do for a possible friend to be hurt! While Fennel was a little off-put by Falzure being larger than Vulin, the smaller Vorvomon took it as to mean that she could be fun to spar with, if she was willing! At the mention of the heat, he'd chuckle a bit - grinning "I kind of learned to control my heat - you sort of have to when you're the one doing all the cooking! - though I imagine you probably can get hotter than I can - you look pretty tough! I wouldn't say no to a hug or handshake though!"
Lifting his head and smiling cheerily, Vulin would gesture to himself with energy, introducing "Anyways... I'm Vulin, and that over there is my sibling Fennel!" He would pause to gesture to the Monodramon in question - Fennel quietly giving a small quick wave to Falzure in respond to her own wave; Fennel saw no need to be rude, even if he was distrustful towards her. "It's nice to meet you though, Falzure!" Vulin would conclude though, extending a claw in a friendly handshake, his tail swishing, the copper ring on the end jingling. "We come from ElDoradimon, hatched and grew up there!" He mentioned happily, adding "It's really cool to see someone else like me out here though- and there's even more??"
Fennel would exhale and approach Vulin then- patting his head, though still keeping an eye on Falzure. "Breathe, " Fennel would remark with an amused hue in Vulin's direction - which, he would indeed pause to take in a breath; if he didn't stop Vulin's rambles, Fennel had a feeling that odds were he would've talked himself to breathlessness. He would ponder Falzure's offer for a few moments though, as though wondering whether to trust her or not.
On one hand, he wasn't so sure about walking directly into the territory of someone so tough that noone messed with them. Who knew what would happen if one of them angered the wrong person? Additionally, they were small enough, Fennel felt - they could probably hide in small spaces, or turn back and go a different direction, if things got dangerous. On the other hand though, it wasn't like she necessarily showed any signs of aggression - and the help would probably be nice, to make sure they could pass through safely. Not to mention that Vulin seemed enthused at the mention of meeting her father - the smaller Vorvomon's eyes lighting up excitedly.
After a few moments of thought (and Vulin maybe-possibly giving Fennel the puppy-eyes) though, Fennel would eventually nod, and Vulin almost automatically piped up, exclaiming "I'd love to! Thank you bunches!" as he bounced a bit in place - if she was big, then her father must've been even bigger! Maybe they could even teach him things on being a big tough Vorvomon! "What's your dad like, Falzure?" Once more, came the questions again - it seemed there was no end to the questions, with how eager Vulin was to learn more!

"I'd be more surprised if I was hurt to be honest, well past the chipping I guess."
There was a momentary frown as she looked herself over again; it was probably during that fall that she chipped herself. She doubted that it could of come from anything else within recent mention after all. She'd scratch at her head and tilt it slightly.
"I'm not super good at controlling my heat to be honest, My body is like a furnace and it takes a lot of conscious effort for me to even make a small dent into it. I'm not sure. Do you melt stuff that you stand on? And I am! Though my Dad is a LOT tougher than me, and most if not all of my siblings! And my mom when she was still about. I'll have to take you up on that sometime hah!"
Falzure seemed a little proud of that fact and would brighten a bit as Vulin introduced himself. When he gestured to the monodramon she'd lean again and grin at him. She could imagine her siblings asking him a million and a half questions. After all they would be more interested in a monodramon than another vorvomon.
"A pleasure to meet the both of you too! I'll have to introduce you to some of my siblings. Probably just Lucky and Jas though, since everyone else is still pretty young."
The digimon paused at that extending of the claw for that friendly handshake, a few moments passed and she'd return it somewhat firmly her large size not betraying the physical strength she had though she attempted to be as gentle as possible. At the mention of the two coming from ElDoradimon she'd perk up and get wide eyes.
"Wow! I heard about that place from Dad during history lessons. He didn't really know much about it past a few little things here or there. It's really nice to see a mon of my type outside of the family you have no idea. Yes! Uhm. We've got six clutches right now. Two clutches are Vorvomon's and the others are from other groups of kids. But we're all like family so it's okay.
Falzure blinked a little bit while Fennel told his brother to breathe, she was getting quite a bit of attention here however from the both of them and she had to admit she liked meeting multiple people at once. She'd brighten considerably as Vulin said that they would love to. Though the exchange between the two brothers, silent as it were was something she recognized in a sense. Something only siblings long standing with one another would. Though she couldn't understand their personal signals at least.
"Of course! It's this way! It'll take a little bit longer cause some rock slides earlier today but that's okay. Uhhhhm. He's really relaxed, sort of a chill guy. Tends to be really gentle with the kids even from other groups. He's really good in a fight, He's also really big but that's like. Sort of expected. He's a Volcanicdramon! Just like my mom but he's WAYYYYYYYY stronger. He's kinda old but that's probably part of the reason why the other dragons leave him and the clutches alone."
Falzure would turn and look around, grinding her teeth for a moment as she thought about their location and the best way to get to where they needed to go. Humming to herself she'd gesture for them to follow her. It'd take an hour for them to probably get to where they needed to go at worst... But that was fine! Plenty of time to chat.
"It's this way! It'll take a bit to get there, but that's okay~ Plenty of time to chat and stuff! You two are cousins? Brothers? What was ElDoradimon like?"

At the question of whether Vulin melted things too, he would pause to ponder it for a second. "I sometimes do if I get way too excited- though Fennel usually lets me know beforehand. He's always super aware of everything around him, I sometimes feel like he has eyes on the back of his head, with how often he notices things before me - or how often I bump into things with my wings or tail, haha!" Vulin would finally chirp, grinning and scratching the back of his head a bit sheepishly. The returned handshake though - even if it was pretty strong and firm - seemed to make him smile even brighter.
At the talk of just how many children were under her father's wing though, Vulin would be amazed. He thought back to the caretakers who raised him and Fennel back home, and how there were comparatively more watching the younger digimon there, and fewer youngsters. But then there was them, and how many clutches?? "Woah...! That must be super hard work for you guys to watch over so many younger digimon!" He remarked with visible awe, unable to help but wonder what the other clutches were. Other dragon-type digimon, he supposed, but there was still a bunch of different kinds they could be!
The two would follow Falzure along; Vulin bouncing alongside her with a jovial hue, whereas Fennel hung back a little - but kept up nonetheless - keeping an eye out for any danger. "Yup, we're brothers!" Vulin would confirm with a nod, smiling back to Fennel before adding "We were hatched from the same egg, even - the caretakers said once that it's extra special when that happens!"
At the question of ElDoradimon, though - Vulin would ponder for a second. "Well... ElDoradimon is really big, for one!" He mentioned, adding "There's so many digimon, of all different types, and we get tons of different visitors from so many other lands, since ElDoradimon is always on the move!" Vulin grinned happily, continuing "I loved sometimes just sitting somewhere up high, and seeing where we were that day - though I tended to stay indoors whenever we passed thru the north. It's super cold, and when I was younger I didn't have the same heat that I do now to keep myself warm, cause I was just a Koromon! ... I still don't really care for the cold, and neither does Fennel but being able to heat myself up makes it easier to deal with it while we're on the move!"
Vulin laughed gently, but would peer ahead, seeming a little nostalgic as he thought about home... Maybe he'd visit them, if they and ElDoradimon crossed paths at all? That was sort of a comforting thought - his home was always traveling too! After a moment, he'd snap out of his own thoughts though, mentioning "Me and Fennel were raised by the caretakers of the city - my favorite is a Kyubimon, named Saya. She's super nice and super smart, and almost always knew the answer to any questions I'd have growing up- though I also admire the guards and older digimon a bunch. I started traveling cause I want to get stronger, so that I can protect others like they do! Fennel wants to learn more and see the world, himself!"
As Vulin would trail off a second though, he'd realize he never did ask something that had been mulling over in his head, ever since Falzure talked about her dad- "By the way! Your dad - do you think he could teach me to be stronger too, or that we could spar with you, if not?" He asked excitedly, adding "Fennel's usually pretty quiet around strangers - it takes a bit for him to warm up to new digimon - but maybe he'd like to talk to your dad too? Since he sounds super smart and wise too, and all!"

"Oh! That makes sense, so you're probably better at controlling it than me then too!"
Falzure blinked owlishly a little bit and glance back. So he had trouble bumping into things with his extensions a bit? He'd likely get along with a lot of the younger ones in that regard, or with lucky with how much that poor brother of hers was slamming into things.... Though she wasn't really one to talk considering her earlier stumble.
"Well it's not super difficult. The older ones help out a lot and we all just communicate and keep to things as best we can..."
The Vorvomon trailed off after a few moments, she remembered when most of her clutch was still around. How they helped and kept others going along with her father. One by one they left and eventually she was the only one to stay. From what she had heard none of them had made it out of dragon valley proper save a few that went to the frozen north... Though she doubted that those ones survived the outrageous cold as they were.
"Brothers? Oh! You're twins! We have a pair like that! They're both botamon's right now and we're not sure who they come from quite yet but that is extremely rare from what Dad said!"
Falzure grinned a little bit and tilted her head slightly; that grin sticking to her face at the idea of there being another pair of twins that they could likely relate to in some fashion or another.
"That sounds... really amazing honestly I couldn't really even think about traveling so much like that. Never really staying in one place as a home moved. That's just. So odd. You've been to the north with that? That's crazy! A Koromon? That makes sense, a lot of my younger siblings have that form."
She'd pause in her stride however when Vulin laughed, then he explained about those caretakers. A particular one named Saya, A kyubimon that was nice and smart? She didn't know what a Kyubimon was. In fact Falzure only knew of dramon's really and would slowly tilt her head to one side looking somewhat confused.
"...What's a Kyubimon? And that sounds really admirable! Learning and growing stronger, I bet the worlds a good place to learn it in too. Probably tons of strong and wise mons."
She'd pick back that stride though it would stutter out as she was asked about her dad. Then followed quickly about sparring with her, the Vorvomon sputtered and shifted nervously from foot to foot.
"He... Could teach you some things. I don't... I don't really know how to fight all too well. I wouldn't really be a good sparring partner. All I really do is keep the younger kids out of trouble. No one really... messes with the younger dramon's from my family because of my father."
Nervousness was etched into her voice and she'd scratch at her neck; she wasn't really sure what to think there. She never really had a reason to fight or to spar. Or even to practice. In fact she liked the idea of being somewhat peaceful even if she enjoyed using her fire against stuff. But she never had used it against people and wasn't sure how she would even...
"He's very smart, and very wise. I don't think he'd be against talking with either of you about whatever questions you may have."
Falzure would return to walking, still seeming somewhat nervous at the idea of sparring. It sat with her strangely and gave her the feeling of lavaflies in her stomach. It wasn't something that she really had thought about before and well... It raised a slough of questions for her that she hadn't the answer to.

"Ehehe; I didn't start out having such an easy time with it, though. I remember when I'd keep burning our meals on accident." Vulin would admit with a hint of embarassment, though he smiled nonetheless; adding "But once I got a handle on it, it was just kind of a question of... I guess just, remembering to breathe, like Fennel reminds me sometimes!" Vulin remarked, before shrugging a bit- adding "It's what works for me, at least, when I'm trying to cool down!"
With the mention of the older ones helping and them all communicating though, Vulin would tilt his head and nod some - "Oh, that makes sense!" He'd respond, seeming to not notice the trailing off - or at least if he did, he didn't think that anything was wrong. "You guys must all be pretty close, though! But then again, I guess that makes sense too if you're all a family - we were pretty close with eachother back home, too!"
Vulin grinned happily, thinking of the caretakers back home - such as Saya and Jess - and his childhood friends, wondering how they were all doing. If they crossed paths with ElDoradimon, they'd need to visit and see how everyone was! At the mention of another pair of twins though, Vulin would perk a bit curiously. "Oh! Really? That's super cool!" He mentioned with a bright smile. "I hope they grow up to be as close as me and Fennel are - we're practically inseparable!" Vulin would smile back to Fennel, and Fennel couldn't help but smile and nod back, which only made Vulin grin brighter.
As the subject of ElDoradimon and always being on the move came along though, Vulin would scratch his cheek a bit. "Oh, I guess that's a good point... I guess I just have never given it much thought, since that's just sort of... How we grew up! But yeah - ElDoradimon kind of wanders everywhere they please! At least as far as I know; do you know anything Fennel?" He would glance back to his sibling - and Fennel would shrug a bit. He took a second to respond - debating whether it was worth a response - though he'd eventually mention "Noone I've ever talked to really knows why ElDoradimon wanders where they do." Vulin would hum, before shrugging over to Falzure with a smile. "Yeah, I guess noone really knows- though I imagine it's nice seeing the world. ElDoradimon must know so much from all they've seen!"
He would chuckle and smile, wondering what kind of stories the large turtle-digimon might tell if they ever spoke, though the mention of Kyubimon would make him perk. "Oh! They're uh... A beast digimon!" He mentioned - "Like... Saya had firey paws, and her tailtips were all fiery too - she had nine fluffy tails, gold and white fur, uhmm..." He paused in his steps for a second to try and gesture out the shape of her muzzle - adding "A long narrow muzzle, like this! And long ears!" He perhaps wasn't the best at explaining per se, but he was definitely trying his hardest! "She was also usually wearing this fancy red-white rope deal around her neck, though I dunno how to really explain it beyond that,"
He did grow a little sheepish at his goals being called admirable, smiling shyly. "I mean.. I like to think there's a lot of good digimon out there who want to protect others, too! I don't think that I'm all that special for wanting to be strong, or to protect others, but I'll certainly try my best!" He mentioned, brightening up and adding "And yeah! Fennel's been really curious about things like ruins, or older digimon that might have super secret-hidden knowledge that noone else might know! And hey, I wouldn't mind learning either- if I'm smart, then I'll be better at protecting others, yeah?"
Though... When he noticed Falzure getting nervous, Vulin would tilt his head a little; gazing to her quietly as she explained herself. "Oh... Well.... That's okay, maybe someone could teach you? I dunno if we'd be a good teacher, but I'm still down to roughhouse a little! You just seem like you'd be really strong, is all." He mentioned cheerily and reassuringly. "It's okay if you'd still rather not, though. I'm happy just meeting a new friend - and I'm sure I'll learn a bunch talking to your Dad with Fennel!"
Vulin would pick up the pace a little, clearly excited; though would still make sure that Falzure and Fennel were keeping pace alright. "Do you know anyone else in this valley that might be willing to talk or spar, too?"

"Oh I know how that is, most of my meals are seared but I like the taste. Just breathe huh? I'll have to try that."
Falzure furrowed her brow a little bit and then dipped her head in a nod as Vulin spoke about them being close. It would only make sense if they were close after all; if they weren't there'd be a lot of fussing and problems coming every which way. She'd give a thoughtful pause about it and scratched at her snout for a few moments.
"Sometimes there's disagreements but they get sorted out very quickly. And really? that's good to hear. Sometimes it's hard to know how things are like elsewhere when you live in your own little portion of the world."
Falzure chuckled at the idea of the twins being close with one another; neither one of them liked being away from the other and likely that would stay long into their life cycle with any luck. There was a soft moment where remembered them coming out of that egg at the same time and that spark of life making them roll around almost getting in trouble with one of the older siblings at the time.
"Oh they're shaping up to being attached at the wing that's for sure. They probably will be! With any luck they'll have an easier time of things with the two of them being around. Two hunters are better than one yanno?"
The Vorvomon shifted a little bit and she'd blink a few times as Vulin explained out some information about the ElDoradimon. How they wandered and were ancient creatures themselves. She had never really thought that there would be more than one of them. Nor did she really think that there would be too many ancient digimon in general with how violent it could be here.
"Ever think about just... asking them?"
Falzure tilted her head a little bit more however when Vulin told her about Saya. A beast digimon orf some sort, with Firey paws, tail-tips, multiple tails, gold and white fur... A narrow muzzle and long ears? And some red rope around her neck. The painted image in her head made falzure furrow her brow and click her teeth thoughtfully.
"Hmm. I've never heard or seen a Mon like that, maybe someday I'll see one. Sounds very interesting though. Most of the mon's around here are just different Dramon's. And the few beast types that wander in don't exactly stay for too long."
Falzure let out a small chuckle at that smile that followed suit after her calling his goals admirable. That was a reaction she wasn't really expecting but Sovereigns was it fitting. They had a lot that they wanted to learn and do in order to protect other's; learning from older mon's just made sense and it brought a series of questions she'd have to bring to her father's attention when she had the time.
"There's lots of ruins of stuff around here, deep in caves or out in the open of the larger mons. Usually just burnt out buildings or charred stuff, but there are ones that can't get burnt. They're made of digizoid or some really hard rocks. I don't know where a lot of them are but he might. Don't know if he has any super secret knowledge but he definitely will have useful advice."
Falzure's nervousness teetered out a little bit and she'd sigh scratching once more at her snout. She didn't really know how to address this 'issue' as she called it. Many of the mons here just... honestly left her and the others alone so why would they need to learn how to fight if there was just peace? It was a problematic thought train honestly but there were cracks forming in it with all that 'prodding'.
"The only person that really knows how to fight is my Father. And he's busy as a beemon trying to keep all my siblings protected and in check. Err... Do I? I mean. Like I know I'm bigger than my siblings but I wouldn't... really call that strong. I mean. Can't hurt to try.... Uhh. Well Yeah! Hopefully he's not too busy..."
The Vorvomon paused and considered the last question. Mon's that would be willing to talk to two strangers, willing to spar and wouldn't be overly hostile... She made a little frustrated face and shook her head.
"Not to my knowledge. Lucky might know a few, he gets around more than I do. I just tend to stay to my sculptures or chess sets. When not helping my Father. Oh! We're not too far now... See that slagged rock up there? That's a marker from my Father."
She'd gesture to a rock a good thirty feet ahead of them. It stuck out like a sore thumb amidst all the other rocks. It had been seared and slagged to the point where the rock had lost all of it's natural color. Making it black and ugly in the process. It was much taller than the cliffs around it and even leaned a little bit against one of the cliff faces. A single word was etched into the side of the massive 'rock'.
Nursery.

"Ehehe- I don't mind seared all that much either, but Fennel can't stand the taste." Vulin would mention with a small, amused smile - he would shuffle a little closer to whisper conspiratorially "I think he's just a little picky though, just between you and me, heh." Fennel would glance over to the two though, and call "I heard that, you know." which prompted a momentary blink and soft snicker from the smaller Vorvomon. Despite Fennel's look that he cast Vulin, it seemed to be all just lighthearted pokes - as the two digimon would blow raspberries at each other and laugh it off, before Vulin continued "And yeah, I take deep breaths if me or Fennel think I'm getting a little too worked up. It isn't always a perfect solution, but it works for me, and I haven't had too many heat-based accidents in awhile now!"
"And we do have our own disagreements too, like sometimes I think Fennel needs to loosen up a bit - and Fennel thinks I need to be more careful. But we aren't afraid to set aside our differences, cause otherwise Fennel's my brother, and I care a lot about him, and he cares a lot about me!" Vulin would smile warmly, adding "We poke fun and joke at each other all the time, when it's just us." He couldn't help but chuckle as he thought of the antics the two of them got into sometimes; especially a prank that Fennel had managed to convince him to participate in once, a long time ago back in the city - they had gotten in so much trouble with Saya and Jess, but it was all okay after they had helped clean up the resulting mess. And thinking back to it, it was pretty funny!
Vulin would nod in response to Falzure mentioning the twins that they were taking care of, adding "I wonder if they'll digivolve the same way, since they're both Botamon; or if they'll be different like us!" with a cheery, curious hue; sure, it didn't matter either way - a digimon was a digimon no matter the shape or size! But it was still a curious thought to have, imagining all the different ways the twins could grow. Though Fennel probably would know more about the different paths a digimon could take - he was the smart one.
But then came the question of, well, asking ElDoradimon. That seemed to make Vulin fall silent for a second as he pondered it - trying to recall if anyone's ever tried. Fennel would speak up then, mentioning "Some have talked to ElDoradimon, but no-one's ever gotten a straight answer as to why they wander where they do." That seemed to jog Vulin's memory, for he'd nod - "Oh, yeah! Other Mons say it might be cause they're a pretty old guy." He'd mention in addition, shrugging a little.
In talking about Saya though, Vulin would chuckle and nod. "Maybe! It makes sense why not a lot of other sorts of digimon hang around too much, though- with there being not-so-friendly digimon out here. Maybe you could explore and meet a bunch of other types of digimon, though?" Vulin grinned in a friendly fashion with the suggestion - adding "If you meet ElDoradimon even, I'm sure a lot of the digimon there would be happy to meet you, if they know you're a friend of our's! And even if the ruins out there don't have much, that sounds really cool!" Vulin would continue, clearly getting excited "We'll definitely have to ask your dad about that!"
With the conversation of fighting though, Vulin would tilt his head, before shrugging a bit. "I mean, I definitely think you look strong! I wouldn't want to trouble you too much though - sparring and roughhousing is only fun if the other person's enjoying it too!" Vulin grinned a bit, and gently - playfully - bumped Falzure on the shoulder with his claw as they walked.
The mention of sculptures and chess seemed to draw both mons' attention though, albeit Vulin never got a chance to ask, as Falzure pointed out the marker. Vulin would perk a bit, distracted by said marker, and would trot ahead a short distance to get a better look at the rock - flitting up to and perching on one of the nearby ledges. Fennel would be the one to speak up this time though, asking "Chess?" in a somewhat curious tone.

"Some of my younger siblings are the same way, super picky! Some of them react poorly to the sear though, but they eventually get to the point where they're okay with it!"
Falzure would bob her head with a small chuckle following suit as one of the others whispered to her. She'd blink a little bit however when Vulin addressed the heat incidents. Falzure had to think about how she dealt with them, in dragon valley there was a lot of space and she had a way of funneling her problems into her chess sets. Not everyone would have that and she might not be able to have that for a while if she ever left the nest.
"Well... why don't... you both do both of that? Like uhm. Hmm. Like you being more careful and him loosening up? Oh! You guys could practice on my siblings if you want! You'd have to be careful around some of them and a lot of them would be super playful and that'd help loosen Fennel up! Whatcha say to that Fennel? Feel like playing with some of my siblings?"
Falzure beamed brightly and she'd run her claws along a small divet in the ground furrowing her brow. It'd lead into a bigger divet and she'd huff in irritation. Tracks that weren't supposed to be here, marks of another group of dragons. Ones she'd have to talk to her father about. At the topic of the twins she'd consider briefly.
"One of them is super outgoing and the other is very very shy. I think it's because of their innate size difference to one another, the bigger one is the shy one and the smaller one is the peppy outgoing type! If they are different like you that won't be a bad thing, Father loves it when his children are different!"
That bright beaming smile faltered after a moment as she recalled something and then ended up coughing. The topic of the ElDoradoimon thankfully came up and she'd be able to hone in on that.
"I want to talk to him! I bet he has loads of answers! I bet he also gets super lonely, think about it! He's so big! Even if there's people living on him and taking care of his outside do you think his insides are taken care of?"
Way to really say that he didn't have any friends Falzure, she was pretty much being on point with her questions or addressing things that stood out to her. She'd tilt her head lightly as they walked eventually getting to what looked to be a melted line. Falzure dragged her claws across it, breathing a small breath of fire to sort of heat it up to push some of the 'rock' around.
"Hmm hmm! Really? Wouldn't they be... happy to see someone new? Oh! Uh! Well. They don't have much for uh... well dragons with the problems we have. We can't interact with a lot of the finer stuff you know? And deeper into the ruins have some guardians that are really... well. They hurt a lot. I got lost in one when I was younger and it was really cool up until they popped in. I didn't know.. how to talk really super well and didn't understand what they were saying, but when I think about it now it's... well. Intruder this or get out that. Those are the ones that can't get charred by the way! I can show you some of the safer ruins later if you want?"
The dragon would of hopped over the melted line but the shoulder bump sort of knocked her off balance for a moment and she'd sort of stumble. She could feel her face getting somewhat hot at what amounted to one of the few compliments she had received.
"We-well.. Thank you! I... Well. I don't really hear that much from my siblings, but that's... well. I'm big so I don't really get that sort of thing from them. Hah! I... Well... If you want we could... uh. Spar... or... well rough-house I don't..."
The dragon was certainly off of her game with that little bit! She was quick to recover thankfully and after a few long moments would freeze in place turning her head to look at Fennel. The marker up ahead was massive yes, with tons of scarring and blast damage from what could be described as from a fight but the resident dragon knew better.
"Chess is a human strategy game, it operates off of a 64 checked board. Oh in an Eight by eight grid. There's sixteen pieces each, Eight pawns, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, One king, One Queen. I have... I spent a lot of time after one of the humans taught me about it making my own sets. There's ones that are made for travel and... well the bigger ones are made for here! I've got about two hundred or so made sets of varying sizes... There's movement rules of each piece like uh. Pawns can move two spaces forward only on their first turn of movement each, but after that it's only one tile. While Knights move in an L shape and can hop over pieces. The entire goal is to make it so the king can't move and is challenged by something. That's called 'Check-mate'. I can teach you how to play the game in it's entirety if you want! After you meet father of course! We're really close to where he's at!"

"I don't think Fennel'll ever get used to seared food, but I think that's cause he's not a fiery digimon like us," Vulin mused out loud, before glancing over to Fennel and adding in a humorous and teasing tone, "But it's not like it's gonna hurt ya, Fennel!" Fennel would gently knock Vulin on the back of the head - it didn't seem like it was intended to hurt or anything, just the twins being goofy. The two would once more laugh it off though, as Vulin added "Fennel actually doesn't mind his stuff well done though, he just prefers his food rare most of the time. I don't get it, but eh." The little Vorvomon would shrug and smile to Falzure.
Though then came the question of them both adjusting themselves, by playing with the kids. Fennel made an unsure expression - and would actually speak up this time, remarking "Vulin can be careful with kids. It's more he gets himself into trouble way too much." Vulin made a sheepish grin, adding on to Fennel's remark by explaining "And I think Fennel needs to loosen up cause he kinda has a hard time with new digis. He probably wasn't sure if you were a friend or foe at first even, before I came talking to you - he probably isn't quite sure about your family yet either! But I think that everyone's a potential friend, yeah?"
It seemed Fennel would take note of the tracks and Falzure's huff, though. He'd stare down at the tracks for a second, as though he believed he could identify said marks - but... He wouldn't mention anything, just regard the tracks briefly before moving on with the other two, mentally noting it down as he did.
From the sounds of the twins though, in any case, it sounded like they were opposites like Fennel and Vulin were! Vulin would smile brightly at Falzure's remark regarding them being different not being bad - adding onto Falzure's remark with "Yeah! And if they digivolve differently, I bet they could cover each-other, like me and Fennel do!" However, it seemed that though Vulin had missed Falzure's previous huff, he'd now notice her faltered smile, and the cough. Tilting his head and peering to her with a hue of concern, Vulin asked "Is everything alright, Falzure?"
For Eldoradimon, Vulin would nod thoughtfully, humming. "Yeah, I guess it would be kind of lonely, if there aren't people talking to him as often.... But I don't imagine they'd let him be too lonely for long! With all the sights he's probably seen, he probably knows a whole lot about the world, and how it has changed over the years! I bet lots of digimon would love to learn about that sort of stuff!" Vulin grinned happily and excitedly, adding "And yeah, I imagine if there aren't anyone taking care of, uhm.. Insides, that he's self sufficient - there's never been any signs of him getting sick or anything, as far as I'm aware. Though Fennel probably knows more about that," Vulin glanced to Fennel for confirmation, and the Monodramon nodded. "He most likely does have to take care of himself somehow- but I don't recall if we've ever had an issue with him needing assistance or medicine."
Still though, that was an interesting thought; what might happen, if ElDoradimon were to become deathly ill? Or if he became injured in a fight, or something? Nonetheless, the two would watch as Falzure messed with a melted line - which led the twins to wonder if there had been a fight here recently; Vulin poked a bit at the line as well, listening to Falzure mention the dragons of the valley.
"I mean... Maybe the dragons here are super nice!" Vulin chirped, before adding "Though Fennel mentioned that digimon here can be pretty rough and tough, around here - at least that's what the elders told him, when he asked about the area before we left ElDoradimon on our own." At the notion of the guardians though, in the ruins deeper within the valley, Vulin was curious. What kind of digimon were the guardians, he pondered - it seemed like they were probably amongst the rough and tough types that were supposedly around here at the very least. Were they dragons, too? Nonetheless though, the offer to be able to see some safer ruins made the little Vorvomon light up curiously, and Fennel seemed interested as well - giving Falzure an intent gaze. "I'd love to see some more ruins!" He'd agree eagerly, tail swishing side to side with utter excitement.
Falzure being off her game didn't seem to bother Vulin, though. He supposed she was just shy about compliments and fighting, which was perfectly okay, too! "Okay! Whenever you feel up to it, let me know, then!" Vulin chirped, smiling brightly - his inner flame seemed to brighten up with the excitement of them possibly rough-housing, before a gentle bump from Fennel would remind him to cool it - literally - and keep from melting everything again, sheepishly giggling to himself, and adding out loud "You're definitely bigger than me though, so you'd probably have an advantage - but it'd still be fun to do it whenever you're feeling ready!"
Then came the marker - Vulin was looking it over curiously; wondering what the significance of the scarring and scorching over it was, indeed thinking it to be some sort of fight. But who would fight a marker, came the question as well; not that Vulin was really the cleverest one, but it seemed even strange to him to be beating up a rock, unless there was something special about it!
All the whilst though - Fennel listened to Falzure's explanation over chess with interest. He didn't really like the idea of something being associated with humans - but he didn't say anything, instead focusing on everything else; it being a strategy game that focused on moving pieces around. Having a travel set seemed like it'd make for a good pass-time with Vulin, whenever he could get his twin to have the patience to sit down for awhile, at the very least. At the offer of learning to teach the game, once they were done meeting Father, Fennel would nod and respond "I'd be interested; thank you." with a small and faint smile; but a smile nonetheless. It seemed he might be warming up to Falzure, a little!

"Maybe, maybe not, who knows! He might get a taste for it sometime!"
The vorvomon paused for a few long moments, eyeing the other two curiously. She'd return the smile to Vulin and simply tilt her head at seeing them be goofy with one another. It made her miss her siblings that she grew up with honestly, sure she had plenty of younger ones but all the ones of her clutch had up and left by now. Leaving her the only one that hadn't. She'd of course push these thoughts out of her head and she'd give it a tilt when Fennel spoke. He wasn't the super chattiest it seemed but she didn't seem to mind.
"Well there's not much trouble to be had here, at least not the sort of trouble you'd think of hah! Well to be fair around here it's a hit or miss, if you aren't in your own turf or your parents turf well... Some of the dragons here are super hostile, like the ones to the south. They're the ones my father has to fight a lot, they think the nursery here is a waste of time and that everyone who uses it is weak."
The vorvomon huffed, a little dribble of molten rock spilling from her mouth. She'd blink a bit and wipe it away with a wing, giving the both of them a somewhat cheerful smile.
"but other than them, most of the dragons in the area are pretty friendly. So... yeah! Potential friends!"
The tracks themselves weren't like the sort that falzure was leaving, or the sorts that she she seemed to be associated with. They didn't have burns and were a little too deep, a little too forceful and sudden. She also seemed to mark over a few of them with her own marks with a scowl.
"A few of the younger stupider ones like getting into other territories and leaving marks like this... The deeper they get, the more bold they'll be in the future."
Falzure's seriousness however faded as the twins were the topic of course; they were one of her favorites however and the digimon couldn't help but grin about them.
"I hope so! You two seem to have things down~"
Then there came the question of if she was all right. She'd close her eyes and sort of blow out a small breath of fire. It was mild, somewhat cheerful somewhat dour. She'd turn her head a little bit and sort of scratch at one of her horns.
"I'm... well I'm different cause I've never left the nest. Father uh. Well. He pushes for me to leave a lot but if I left he'd be overwhelmed by all the kids. It doesn't stop him from loving me or the others mind you but I think he doesn't want to get too attatched to kids."
Her tone was rather somber for a few long moments but she'd perk up at the Eldoradimon information. She absorbed the information like a sponge scratching at a few locations as they walked and even seemed to enjoy the banter of the twins.
"Mmmm! that's fair. Well maybe when I visit I can get people to interact with him regularly. Unless he's like one of the younger more.. introverted kids. Hah! But that's good he's never really been sick, I could imagine that'd be a huge problem. When Father got sick we had to hustle and bustle for him because he's so big!"
Falzure hummed a little bit and she'd pause when the dragons around here were super nice. She'd consider it for a few moments, sitting down and sort of scratching at the ground thoughtfully. Her jowls were leaking the molten rock and she seemed to be thinking of something more specific.
"There are super nice ones, the guys to the more northern cooler region of dragon valley are super relaxed. They love talking even if they taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalk liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis"
Her words drawled on rather amusingly and she'd chuckle lightly, some of her scales cracked and clacked against one another. She seemed bemused about it and the vorvomon blinked when Vulin said he'd love to see some of the ruins.
"Well after we talk with father and get his blessing to do so I can! There are a few around here that have older set pieces, some information here or there. But I don't know how to read them. I... well I don't know how to read anyways but that's besides the point."
The vorvomon paused, looking down at the other dragon. She'd blink slowly and sort of rub at her snout. She wasn't sure about this whole rough-housing thing. She really didn't know if she should do this sort of thing but... well. It couldn't be that bad right?
"Well.. hmm. How bout after we talk with father and before we go to the ruins? I'd offer now but he might be mad that I was messing around before coming to see him..."
Falzure trailed off and looked over the area of the marker, humming to herself as she sort of teased about the large object. She'd drag her claws along it, barely leaving scratches.
"This was the first rock my father melted out of the mountain. He uses this sort of stuff to mark areas. There's one to the north, one to the south, one near the trade post that gets set up every now and again... oh and one by the pit."
Falzure seemed incredibly bouncy with the fact that Fennel seemed to be interested in learning the game. Her face practically split into two and she put off a little more heat than she meant to. Having to cough and excuse herself for a moment, discharging the extra heat by breathing out a gout of fire away from the group.
"I never get to really play it with my younger siblings, they don't uh. A lot of them don't like the idea of playing games like that, they prefer the rough-housing and adventuring or leaving to go talk with the other groups."

"Maybe so!" Vulin agreed with a chuckle, though Fennel gave Vulin an amused, albeit unconvinced eyebrow quirk. Yeahhhh, he probably wasn't going to be eating almost-charcoal anytime soon. Nonetheless though, the two twins were quite carefree with each other, even if Fennel was being just a bit uptight over being around a stranger.
From the sounds of things though, it seemed as though it tended to be a bit rougher to the south - and Fennel would note not to wander down that way. But otherwise, the dragons here in the immediate area seemed to be friendly and chill enough, which made Vulin perk up visibly. Maybe he'd go meet some of the other locals, then, sometime? Not right now obviously, given that they were going to meet Falzure's dad, but he was always eager to meet new people! "See Fennel? Everyone's a potential friend." Vulin would repeat proudly, happily and humorously grinning to Falzure as Fennel sighed but didn't retort.
As for the marks though, it seemed that this was more or less just kids being dumbass kids, Fennel thought - not that the twins were immune to it either, Vulin especially. Vulin though, would peer to the marks, frowning a bit. "Why do some digimon want to go into other peoples' territories so badly? Is their space not big enough?" He'd ask, more used to the organized fashion that Eldoradimon had - with everyone having their own space and whatnot with the homes and businesses of the city. Fennel would stare at some of the marks though, and wonder just how much fate these kids would be tempting, wandering into other digimons' spaces like that - especially the spaces of bigger digimon.
Vulin hummed and tilted his head though, at the mention of Falzure's father wanting her to move on at some point. "I mean... I guess I could understand if it's a thing of space; though should be your choice if you want to stay or go, too...!" He'd mention, adding "The world out there's super exciting though, if you ask me. So much new stuff that we've yet to uncover- so many new sights and new people, like how we met you!" Vulin grinned happily, tail swishing, before continuing "But even if you don't end up wanting to leave the valley, maybe you could get your own little territory somewhere, and just visit on an occasion to help out?" Like moving into a house of your own, on ElDoradimon!
With the drawl that Falzure would talk in, in regards to the dragons of the northern regions of Dragon Valley, Vulin would laugh gently - and even Fennel couldn't help a soft snicker. "That does sound super relaxed," Vulin would comment - wondering out loud "I wonder, if it's cold up there - does that mean there might be icy dragons up there, as opposed to us fiery dragons? I think that'd be pretty cool, myself!" Vulin couldn't help but laugh at his own little pun - and Fennel would glance to Vulin, retorting "That was terrible, Vulin." with a sharp laugh of his own.
With the notion of ruins and a bit of roughhousing after they talked to her father though, Vulin would perk up excitedly. "Heck yeah!" He'd respond with great enthusiasm, a bounce to his step. "And that's okay! I understand not wanting to make your dad wait - Jess sometimes got grumpy at us whenever we were late on things, like for curfew when it starts getting late." He'd add in understanding, smiling to Falzure. "We'll talk to your dad, then we can wrestle a little or something, we can go as hard or as easy as you want!" He seemed to be trying to be accommodating for her, given that she seemed nervous or shy over it before - Vulin was doing his best to be a good friend!
With the explanation of the marker though, Vulin would nod with quiet awe. Her father more or less made this himself? "That's awesome!" He'd exclaim happily, moving down from his perch to meet her and Fennel once more. "I can't wait until I get big enough to do stuff like that - though I dunno what I'd do with rocks; I don't think I could exactly mark things if I'm always on the move with Fennel! Or at least, it wouldn't do much for either of us, I mean."
Nonetheless though, Fennel and Vulin both quirked their heads as she seemed to have to let off some heat from just how flustered and excited she got over Fennel's interest - Fennel chuckling gently when he realized the effect said interest had had on her. "I can't say that I wasn't the same, when I was younger." Fennel admitted- "Not so much for rough-housing, but for having too much energy to sit still for long. Vulin never did grow out of that though, as you can see." He'd add the last bit in a tease to Vulin - to which Vulin responded with a "PFtahaha-hey!" Despite the retort, the laughter made it clear that he wasn't miffed at all - cause really, it was true! Vulin loved always being on the move, always doing something, anything.
