Justice's response gave Gummy all the more reason to strike him with his tail again, but oped not to out of Bezil's request. He looked at Vee, who sighed in response. Honestly, their Tamer was something else. They knew he was lazy, but they didn't think he would be that lazy to fake being unconscious.
He turned his attention to Shoutmon, who was giving him angry glare. What was he mad about? He gave him the stink eye in response. Seeing how his hands were balled up into a fist, he looked like he come at him at any moment, in which Gummy sort of welcomed him to try something. Instead, he huffed and sat back with the Flamedramon and the crybaby Tamer. He was surprised that the long-haired human didn't break down crying while they were out in the middle of the storm.
Justice cleared his throat. "I think I have some apologizing to do." he muttered finally, he rubbed his hand through his hair feeling awkward. "I'm uh...sorry for making everyone here worry about me. It was an asshole-ish thing to do, so I'd understand if anyone's angry at me." He turned to Vee and Gummy. "And yeah, I did kind of deserve that blow to the stomach."
Vee remained silent of a bit. He cast him a sidelong look and got up, wrapping his arms around Justice as he closed his eyes.
"Apology accepted." Vee smiled. "Just don't ever make me worry like that ever again."
Justice was half expecting Vee to clobber him upside the head, but he returned the hug nonetheless. After what was only a minute, he could hear snores coming from the Veemon. He must have been very tired after all of that.
Gummy however was a bit disgruntled. It even showed in his face, and he was obviously in a mood, thinking Justice had been let off much too easily - but he said nothing to make this known. Knowing it would only stir up problems, and nobody here needed anymore problems on top of the storm. He then wrapped himself in the blanket that the Commandramon gave him like a burrito and rolled to the ground.
Speaking of the storm, the good news was that it wasn't as intense as it was before. As Sheppard put it, it would only take another day for it to fully pass. Since they were a bit inland rather than being near at the shoreline, nobody here had to worry about the threat of flooding. So until the storm pass, this was gonna be everyone's little home for the next twenty four or so hours.
After a couple of minutes of looking up at the ceiling, and listening to the rain. Gummy rolled to the side and saw that Justice was knocked out as well, with him and Vee sharing a blanket. He then rolled to the other corner and saw that Bezil, who had devolved earlier, was still in the same position he was from earlier.
"One blanket's probably not enough for him." Gummy muttered to himself. Despite Bezil having a furry build.
He unrolled himself from his burrito shelter and got up, walking to him. He gently started to spread the blanket around the older Gumdramon, wanting to make sure he didn't disturbed him if he happened to be asleep. He couldn't tell since his head was turned away from him. If he was awake, he said this:
"Hey. I know you already have a blanket over you, but I'd figured you need mine just in case. You kept your promise on not dying, so I'd at least owe you or something I guess. I'm not really good at whole 'nice' thing, but for you, you deserve it."
Giving out a yawn, he laid across the ground a few feet from Bezil and continued to look up at the ceiling, listening to the rain until he no longer could.
