Mao did not wish to think of the unpleasant implications of what everyone was describing, but unfortunately, Vemmon had that image right at the ready. It sort of...flashed before her eyes, nobody but Mao being able to see it. the girl wincing at that. "...I hate you, you know that?" She hissed towards the ethereal alien, who stifled a snicker.
The group ascended the stairwell, as much of an enemy as those were. Mao's attention went to the stall with the Kokuwamon. "...You know, I have no idea if Vemmon can breathe out there or not."
"I -hail from space.- What the hell do you -think- I do out there?" The alien spirit could be heard making a noise akin to a tsk tsk. Mao regardless would head to the rebreathers stall, hopefully with her company following. "Hi, my friends here might need some of those rebreathers..." She told the Kokuwamon.

Ayumi was confused at Mao's wincing. Eh? What's going on with her? Solomon just glared, he felt like that alien had done something bad. He'll have to keep an eye on it again.
The Kokuwamon running the stall looked up as Mao approached him. He gave off an electronic buzzing, then used two claws to mimic a smile. His rigid mouthparts could not smile by themselves. "Ah, rebreathers for out there? No problem, I rent them out! Just give me a little down payment of 300 Bits each and I can hook you up! You'll get 80% of it back when you return the rebreather!" Solomon turned his head to the side. "80%?" "Oi, I gotta make a living -somehow-." The Monodramon groaned. Ayumi giggled, and just put down the money. "Give us three, please!" Said, and done. The three were soon equipped with devices that went over their mouths and noses which allowed them to breathe, and talk with the use of a small microphone! "Alright! Are you ready, Mao??? You make the first step, you're my assistant today!"

300 bits was exceptionally cheap for how much he could've been charging for those, really. Mao didn't seem offput by the Kokuwamon's odd manner of smiling, but she did give a nod of understanding to the strange, metallic Digimon. "Don't worry about it."
The gesture of simply retrieving and giving them the rebreathers was nice and to the point, Mao slipped one on before looking to Ayumi. "...So, would that make me the cute assistant you see in the movies? That'd actually be pretty cool." She noted, before she headed towards the large door. She'd open it, and hopefully not cause everything to get sucked out into the vacuum of space, and try getting through.
...There was an airlock for this stuff, right?

Ayumi blushed at the "cute assistant" line again. Gah, face, stop betraying her! "Y-y-yeah, assistant!" She quickly moved to the door, and hastily opened it. Of course there was an airlock, the people who built this weren't stupid! Though the suction of the vacuum was not as bad as one would expect. After all, once the door to the outside opened, every organic being could walk out without the need for a space suit. The air, or lack thereof, was cool, but nothing too freezing. Their steps were light, due to the low gravity, allowing even the unsporty Ayumi take a big leap! "W-w-w-hoa, this is great!" The ground was covered in a powdery substance covering a soft, mossy, silver growth which covered most of the ground wherever spires of moonrock didn't break through! "So, this is the moon..."

Mao couldn't help but smile at that. It said a lot when someone who was prone to shutting herself away from people and lashing out just to be left alone was actually enjoying the company of somebody she happened to bump into a world away. Once the airlock opened the way to the outside, Mao took a few steps and noted the...lack of gravity. Or, rather, how...light she felt.
Such is how things are in the great dark. Vemmon told her. Mao watched Ayumi take a big leap, and took note of the fact that...they weren't on Earth. And Ayumi was quite pale. And the sun was...right there. "Hey, try to be careful! The sun's out, don't want your cute face to get burned!"

The word "cute face" pierced Ayumi like an arrow. It made her tense up...in mid jump. She promptly fell onto her behind when she landed. "Urgh! Uh, w-w-w-what? W-w-what did you say?" Of course, she soon noticed the problem, herself. Her albino skin was already ridiculously sensitive to sunlight. And here on the moon there was no atmosphere to filter it, so she was being bombarded by almost pure UV radiation. The skin on her arms was already turning red and blistering in some places, causing the girl to yelp. Solomon acted fast, grabbing her and dragging her into the shadow of a nearby dome. She was outside for less than five minutes, and her arms and face already looked like she'd been sunbathing for hours. She just slumped against the wall of the dome. "I should have known this would happen...stupid stupid skin..."

...Why did you say that? Vemmon inquired. It was like Mao -wanted- to torture the poor albino! Moreover, the fact she tensed up meant she spent even more time getting cooked by the sun. She followed Solomon to the shadow of the dome, and promptly came up with a plan.
A shitty one, admittedly, but one that'd work for now. She removed her jacket and lent it to Ayumi to wear (covering more skin was likely wise up here), before she took out her D-Tector. "I'm gonna spirit evolve and head back to the main dome to see if there's anything that...can actually provide protection from that. Sit tight, okay? I don't...want you to end up...worse off thanks to an uncontrollable skin condition, 'kay?"
...How altruistic. If that was the appropriate word.

Ayumi's mood had turned sour on a dime. Being reminded of her condition was an easy way to reactivate that old self-loathing. She looked down, sulking, only looking up when Mao gave her her jacket, wincing when the fabric touched her sore, cooked skin. "Oh, th-th-that is very nice of you! B-b-but please, don't bother too much for my sake..." She was still sullen, of course. Solomon picked up the slack for her. "This is very kind of you. I will stay here and watch over her. Take care." Despite his lack of emotion in his face and voice, his kind demeanor was impossible to miss.

Sore as the poor girl might have been, it was better than just leaving her here to cook further. Mao, of course, didn't think of this as much, considering how quickly Vemmon's form was able to traverse a wide range when the situation had called for it. Neither Mao nor the alien spirit were able to miss Solomon's gratitude, either.
Which meant that it must've been surprising that Vemmon himself responded to the Monodramon. "You're a good partner. We will return shortly."
Mao turned and jogged off, running back for the airlock and stepping within, waiting for air to fill the room up before she entered the dome once more. The Vemmon looked for the Kokuwamon and walked towards him, before it started to speak to the Digimon with Mao's voice. "Hey, it's me, orange haired human from earlier. So, say my hypothetical lovely assistant started to cook out in the sun, would there by chance be any spacesuits available for a...like, 5 feet and an inch or two girl? And if so, where?"

Vemmon's reply did baffle the Monodramon. He just looked at him and blinked, but then he nodded. Perhaps he had misjudged the alien Digimon. But he was not yet ready to drop his guard.
Upon being approached, the Kokuwamon put his fingers to the corners of his rigid mouth once more. "Oh, are you? My, you sure have changed, but you look good as ever, ma'am!" Upon hearing that the pale girl was "cooking", and seeing her red and sore outside, his fingers dropped down on the corners of his mouth. "Oh no, you never told me she has a bad disease!" He quickly began doodling something down, then gave it to Vemmon. It read "Voucher for 1 free UV Suit rental". "Here, take this one room over to Arukenimon, she will give you a free UV suit for her! It's on me!"

"No, not really, I'm just borrowing a form." Mao replied to the Kokuwamon. "And yeah, she does. Albinism, can't help it. She cooks out there. Sorry for the messup." The alien continued in Mao's voice, however synthetic it happened to sound. The alien gingerly took hold of the hastily written (in her opinion) voucher and read it over, before she looked around.
One room over... "Thanks." She replied as she trotted off to the next room over, in search of an Arukenimon. If there was a door, Vemmon would quite plainly open it, and stick her head in. "Hey, where's Arukenimon? I need to ask her for something!" Very...uh. Straightforward of Mao to do, really.

The door that Vemmon opened was a dimly lit one, thick ropes of silk running along the ceiling, suits lined up on coat hangers along the ropes. In the middle of the room sat the Arukenimon. She turned to Mao, grinning. "That's me!~ have you ever heard of knocking? Rude! I should tie you up for that!~" She giggled, and scuttled closer. "My, and what can I do for you? Do you need clothes? A suit? A body such as that would be -quite- a challenge!" She nonchalantly grabbed the collar around the Digimon's neck and gently tugged on it. Then she lifted their arms too. She did this with not a single reservation.

See, what was important to remember here was that there were two minds piloting the body of Vemmon. The first was Mao Kita, and the other was the Vemmon itself. Vemmon didn't really -care- about Arukenimon's saucy commentary, but Mao? That caught Mao off guard, a unnatural pink kind of discoloration making it's way to Vemmon's cheeks.
Mao had been about to speak, but the lack of any reservation in Arukenimon's actions wound up flustering the alien to the point where the spirit had to take over. "If you're done--We need a suit. One for a human that's about...Five feet? Five foot 1? That small. Extra room on the chest--she's already cooking, don't need her suffocating because of a suit constricting those useless meatbags."
...Yes, Vemmon really did just say that.

Arukenimon giggled at the Vemmon's reaction. "Uhuhuhuh, so we are not dealing with you, but with a friend of yours? My my, this will require some imagination, but that should be no problem~" She then pulled at various strands, bringing forth racks with pre-cut pieces of space fabric. She put a few needles and some thread into her mouth and began to sew the pieces together. Fast. Her arms were in a blur as the suit took shape before Mao's very eyes, only stopping now and again to compare measurements to one of the many mannequins that lined the walls. After about 10 minutes, the suit was completed. "Here you go, sweetie~ This should give your friend ample protection~ Oh, and tell your human friend in there that she has a most -lovely- voice~" Arukenimon ran a finger along Vemmon's cheek as she said this. Clearly, she was aware a Spirit Evolution had taken place.

"That would be correct. The slender girl that was with us, if you were looking at the stand Kokuwamon was running while we were there a few minutes ago." Vemmon continued to clarify before they (yes, Mao was still watching. Make of that what you will) watched the Arukenimon weave up a suit before their very eyes, in record time at that. A real world seamstress would take so much longer than TEN MINUTES.
The Vemmon reached out to grab the suit if it was offered her way, and Mao's voice clearly rang out this time. "I-I...uh...T-Thanks?" Was Mao just not good at taking compliments? Or was she just that terrible around ladies? "I-I'm just gonna take this and go now, thanks!"
If she wasn't interrupted, she'd do just that, rush out of the shop and out the airlock afterwards to see if Ayumi was okay.
