[PLOT] The Final Obelisk [6/6] [Closed]

"Ooh, getting creative with your insults now I see, as opposed to the cliche 'imbecile' or 'idiot.' I'm impressed," Tylomon told the Sanzomon in his own wiseass way. "Although for future reference, I prefer the term 'dumbass', because it's hilarious." He could see that he was getting onto the nerves of these two mega-levels.
"Tylomon, just what the hell are you doing?" Adrian asked, hearing his partner's comments via the Comm link. "Are you just TRYING to piss them off? Because if you are, that is a VERY bad idea. We want to communicate with these Digimon, get them to see reason, not go in guns a-blazing."
"Adrian, you know that's not how bad guys work," Tylomon whispered to Adrian through the Comm. "If they're going to go through the trouble of setting up this thing, then they aren't going to change their minds about it through pure talk alone. Besides, they're outnumbered."
"Tylomon, we aren't on our own for this. We're going to do this the way AEGIS wants us to do it. Hold your fire until you get the go-ahead. DO NOT engage unless absolutely necessary. Do you copy?"
"But Adrian, I-"
"DO YOU COPY?!"
Tylomon wanted to argue about it more but he realized it was just a waste of time to do so. Sighing, the fish Digimon replied: "Copy that. Standing down, awaiting future instructions."
The good part was that the civilians around the area had thankfully managed to be evacuated, so no casualties would get in the way of whatever fighting was about to go down. There was most likely going to be fighting, because Tylomon was pretty mad at the reasoning Gokuwmon gave. "Gokuwmon, you have to understand that neither side is perfect. There are rotten humans, and there are rotten Digimon. I know this because I have come into contact with both. Humans have done a lot more good for the Digital World than you realize. An entire town in the Digital World was built because of help from the humans. And honestly, a lot of my closest friends are humans. And conversely, my partner says that his life improved ever since I showed up. Not all of the humans are as bad as you claim, and shutting down the rift is not going to help any. Basically, we need to build bridges instead of walls. You know what I mean?" He wasn't expecting these Digimon to listen to him, but it was worth a shot.

Levi spoke in a raspy whisper into the commlink with his back to the car he was using for cover. "Alan, would you mind filling me in on what they're telling you? I have... nothing to go on here!" Honestly? Sanzomon and Gokuwmon probably knew he was there. Why wouldn't they? He didn't have anything to back up this feeling, but it seemed reasonable to assume that they noticed him, and didn't care. Why would they? He was a triviality; a speck of fear like any civilian. A non-threat, though he considered that a good thing. It was something he decided he could count on.
"Don't worry, I'll tell you everything. Hold on, the guy's talking." To ensure he wouldn't forget to mention anything, Alan attempted to make small comments to Levi whenever he thought he wouldn't be missing any important information in the span of a second or two. "He's one of those AEGIS people.... The helicopter is a digimon, but can't support from this range... but we'll be remaining in sight of the spire and its surroundings the whole time. That's a relief. We're being encouraged to make use of the commlink. Good." The group of tamers was asked to make their capabilities known to each other. Alan raised his hand when prompted. "Sit tight, Levi, I need to speak to the others."
"Roger."
Alan cleared his throat and made his best effort to project clearly and confidently, wishing to stand up respectfully but quickly deciding it wasn't a good idea in an open cabin, so he spoke while sitting down. "Alan Pantell! Partnered to Levi, Flamedramon, Armor Champion! I have the use of the D-Arc starter pack, and two other cards, Agumon, a bronze bonus attack and Megabyte Terrafirma, a silver environment card that temporarily makes ground-based movement more difficult and strengthens Earth-based attacks, which I do not have the use of. If at any point someone here suspects there's a good time to use this card, please tell me, though I suspect it's risky in terms of collateral damage. Flamedramon himself has some long range capability, but mostly focuses on speed to land closer-range attacks. If openings can be made, he may prove useful for chipping away at the spire. That's how I see things. Thank you." The tamer gave a small approximation of a salute to signal that he was done speaking. "You were saying, Levi? What's going on down there? Kazuya says Roy says to get to safety, but..."
"Tell Kazuya to tell Roy Levi says 'later.' I'm getting a bit tired of hearing these self-righteous spire pricks talk."
"Hold your fire, Levi."
"Way ahead of you. I'm just saying. Tch. No, we weren't there for whatever happened in Luminas. That's kinda the point, genius! Sorry, talking to myself. I'm not about to throw caution to the wind for being ticked off. Whatever they're doing, I know we have to stop it. It's nice they let the humans evacuate, but I don't like our chances of reasoning. 'Specially with this hothead taunting one of 'em. I'm preparing for battle, but otherwise I'm holding my position until someone makes a move. Over."
"Sounds good. You keep me posted, and I'll do the same for you. Over for now."

Post by Tadayoshi Teppei and Silence on Jan 14, 2019 23:23:34 GMT
Well, one thing was encouraging, at least: Silence was working alongside a group of competent, experienced individuals who didn't jump the gun nor come unprepared. Those people were trustworthy, and the General thought he could trust them to meet whatever challenge was before this group, be it negotiation or something louder. Also, Adrian and Tylomon were there. Oh, well.
"One, two, three, Tamers with cards. It'll have to do. Don't use them if you don't have to. Be smart!" This, historically, had usually been the point where someone in the group told Tadayoshi to sit his sixteen-year-old butt down and stop getting so bossy. Letting him go on acting like a leader this long was a bit of a surprise to him, but in a dire situation like this he intended to take it and run as far as the others would let him, for in his mind he was the one with both the capability to make chances of success highest. Gulp. "Tamers, I want these digimon surrounded. Form a perimeter. Top... you're trained for this before we met, right?"
"Hostage negotiation?"
"We may not have hostages anymore, but the concept still applies, right?"
"Negotiation was never necessary when my team had the skill to do without."
"Stakes are too high, Top. So much as a scratched car, and the entire world's governments will rain down on us all like a cluster bomb!"
"Wilco." Assaultmon may have been reluctant to keep his cannons corked after civilian risk was eliminated, and it was audible in his voice. Still, he respected that the young man had a right to run the operation in his own neighborhood.
To Sophie, he then advised, "Ma'am, unless you want a pickup, you should stay behind cover, too."
Assaultmon, with one leap, ran off of the rooftop of AEGIS HQ and landed in the street with no apparent injury. A digimon as mobile and nimble as him knew how to take a fall, after all. The armored centaur walked, not ran, toward the digimon working on the spire. As he started to circle the pair, he tried to shove Tylomon out of the way. He, in Assaultmon's mind, was just making a problem. Even if he was speaking a little sense toward the end, there was no guarantee he wouldn't send another implicit, poorly thought threat disguised as wit. That wouldn't serve for peaceful resolution, would it? But that didn't mean they shouldn't intimidate them either. "Look around, you two," Assaultmon directly addressed both digimon. "You're outnumbered, and you're outgunned. There is no scenario that ends with you winning a fight, and by extension there is no chance your obelisk stands longer than fifteen minutes." Unlike the others' street-tough talk, Assaultmon attempted to appeal to these digimon's sense of self-preservation. Perhaps they also cared about innocent collateral, so Assaultmon added, "If our hands are forced, there is no situation that excludes massive scarring to this major human city." Then there was still another possibility: "And if you think you're at a disadvantage now, wait until still more local digimon show up."
Assaultmon tried to speak with an air of authority but also an appeal to reason. "You've planned poorly. There are only three outcomes in this situation. In the least desirable - for everyone - you force us to dismantle your tower by force. In the most desirable - for us - you'll lay down your arms, devolve, and face the consequences of your crimes. However, the third option is both acceptable to us and very desirable for you: shut down the spire, turn around, and leave this world the same way you came in. That's the only outcome which would keep your objective alive and spare this city of innocents so much unnecessary destruction." Maybe that wasn't an ideal outcome, but if it kept Shibuya safe now, tonight, then these two could be hunted down on a better battlefield on the other side, Assaultmon reasoned.
It was time to bring it home. "You have ethical incentives to pack up and go, as this Tylomon explained. You have tactical incentives to retreat for now, as I have explained. The question that remains, then, is whether you're on a quest..." The barrels on Assaultmon's arms began to spin, and the sounds of bullets loading into chambers were very loud for a creature his size. He didn't point them at the hostiles, but he was still trying to intimidate them. "...or a suicide mission."
That was it, then. This was the moment for everyone to show their hands. Tadayoshi gulped as his comm relayed it all for the whole chopper to hear as well as Sophie. "Guys... tell your partners to prepare to attack. If they don't stand down, we're doing this Assaultmon's way." That was Tadayoshi's euphemism for starting a fight. "Tamers, if you've got an all-purpose card of sorts, take it out and keep it handy. All in all, we wanna get a shot off while they're still taking their stances."

"...You're right about this being bigger than all of us." Alice chuckles at the messages Tadayoshi sends to his Digimon, agreeing with most of the current points but remaining silent about most things, simply nodding. She knows she doesn't have much to say, but a lot to think about. What if the government does find out? What about the rest of the world, if things go sour enough? What would possibly happen then? For now, the most she can do is not think about it and focus on something else. "...That said, whatever happens next... It might shape the course of history. It's a bit exciting to think about, no?"
She chuckles, shaking her head once she realizes she's caught herself going down a slightly peculiar train of thought. "Never mind. We can think about what will happen to us later. For now, I should focus on what's happening in this moment." She's decided upon three of her cards, holding them in her hand with confidence, as if she knows they'll be useful, regardless of the situation.
Meanwhile, on the ground, all the attempts to talk the Sanzomon and Gokuwmon down bring a confidence Dorothy lacks to the surface for a little while, and she steps forwards slightly, the short, implike Digimon not looking particularly serious given her frilly dress and lack of height, but she tries to seem serious about this, revealing herself and finally making her presence known, though there is the possibility she was always known about. "...I know I ain't exactly one to talk much 'bout things, but I ain't leavin' my Tamer's side just to satisfy a buncha dorks who think they know what's best for us. She's the one reason I ain't stuck in the middle of nowhere doin' nothin'... Or dead. Humans may be a bit of a mess 'n all, but they bring somethin' you guys won't, uhh... Lemme think... Yeah, that's right. Change! Y'all want things to go back to some kinda old way without askin' for anyone else's opinion! I dunno what my Tamer would say 'bout this situation, but I'm sure she'd be sick to her stomach, 'n maybe say somethin' about how this doesn't help both worlds... A lotta the stuff she says flies over my head, but I don't care!"
She takes a moment to catch her breath, genuinely surprised she had that much to say about things. "If you wanna separate everythin'... Then I'm staying right here." As small as this second statement is, the way Dorothy says it makes it absolutely clear that she isn't changing her stance.

Yukiko listened to Tadayoshi's orders, Adrian's barking, the idle chatter. She had her eyes fixed on the station. She only visibly relaxed when the humans had evacuated the area. "These fuckers chose the wrong night to attack Shibuya. I won't let them get away with attacking my city." She nodded when Tadayoshi mentioned doing this "Assaultmon's Way". "Very well. I'll let Mizu know to attack as soon as the signal is given." Calm, angry, focussed. This was very unlike the usual Yuki. Seems that whatever the two interlopers had done down there, it had touched upon a nerve.
As for Mizu, everyone's attempt at getting through to these two Digimon seemed to give her at least some semblance of confidence. Despite her racing heart, she hopped out from between the debris, landing near Dorothy. "Y-y-y-yeah, everyone is right! What good does it to pull the worlds apart? For all the bad that happened, even more good has happened! Friendships were forged, love was found, and a cultural exchange has happened! Sure, humans can be dicks, but you two are kinda being dicks right now, too! So I feel you don't have much of a leg to stand on, hahah!" The effect of her bold words was a bit undermined by her shaking legs. Deep down, she knew that there would be a fight. A big one, one unlike she's ever seen before. And she will be right in the middle of it.

Kazuya humored the thing Alice mentioned, the idea of being a part of something bigger than themselves is something all humans would love, even if they do not know it. Kazuya knew that he deep down that he liked it, but now was not the time to dwell on such ideas. Because now whether Kazuya liked it or not, the man had a duty, he became a guardian to the human world. Even if maybe for the day, but he will fight to do what must be done in order to protect others. He readied his device and cards, he then turned to Yoshi and gave the younger boy a firm nod. "Alright, I will trust you. We will wait for your signal before attacking, we need to hurry the faster we deal with this the better." Kazuya said as the tension rose, his eyes shifted to the point of interactions, he then saw a pretty woman accompanied with a giant looking man, he wondered what she wanted to do.
Royland was a bit confused at the Tylonmon who continued to show rashness and insult the opponents, it clashed with the personality of the lion digimon. But he stoped to turn to Sophie as she made her claims, and he agreed with her and the lion was shocked with the admirable compliance the Gokuwmon showed. Letting him know that he is at least has honor and is not a soulless villain. Roy then felt happy at the scene of everyone coming together, the knight felt a bit nostalgic having a group with him fight for the same cause like him. That put a simple smile on his face, he then listened to everyone's speech which only served to invigorate him and make his blood boil with the desire to stop the tower and the two digimon.
"You heard them guys, this is not a battle you should pick. And I understand that humans may have done, I do not doubt their capacity of evil. But they have a capacity of love and empathy, everyone is unique and different trying to wage a war on a race for the actions of the few ultimately turns you to what you wanted to stop. So you seem to not be fully corrupt I ask of you rethink your decisions now, back down and walk away. Don't make the mistake of projecting the digimon world problems on to humans, I once lived through a war that was hell, I have seen things I can never forget, I saw destruction countless lives trampled on, and humans did not interfere. So we digimon should not blame the humans and strive to move forward with their help as we help them grow as well. But I understand if my words bore you, take up a battle stance and let our ideals clash through battle if you can't be convinced with my words, I will use my fists to show you the powers humans taught me." Roy said clenching his fist and reading himself for potential combat.

As the civilians were evacuated, Sophie and Lantis would hold back for a moment, lingering at the edge of the alley to their compound, hoping they could assist in this situation. Sanzomon and Gokuwmon had nothing to say to Tylomon's words. Only that Gokuwmon contorted his frown a little more intensely. This moron didn't seem to be taking the situation seriously, acting casually as though this was some kind of fairy tale. But, he held true to Sanzomon's command, to simply hold true. To the words spoken next by Tylomon, Gokuwmon simply shrugged. "This is 'Rosewood' you speak of, yes? Well, for all we know, it will soon be destroyed by the red essence thanks to the interference of your human friends. And if it's your wish to stay with humans, then remain on this world, but don't try to spread their chaos to ours".Then he turned to the Flamedramon, who seemed to be communicating with his partner. In the helicopter outside the barrier no doubt. Gokuwmon saw them, yet did not attack. For what reason, it was unknown. Then Tadayoshi communicated to Sophie. "Yes, staying behind cover..." Sophie replied back. There was a good chunk of concrete between her and whatever Gokuwmon and Sanzomon could send at them. Then Assaultmon spoke, and what he said made Sophie horrified. "No! Stop! Don't push them into a corner...!" she began, but it was too late. Assaultmon said what he said to them. Gokuwmon glared at him while Sanzomon continued her work. Outnumbered they were, and indeed, if they were to fall, the control spire would soon follow. "Devolve and face the consequences of our 'crimes'" Gokuwmon repeated. "Take a look! We have harmed none of you, we let you clear your innocents in fact... an act far beyond what humans have done for us in our world in times when they decided to interfere and fight..."The third option? To turn around and leave? Gokuwmon said nothing. They had gone this far, to pack it up and leave was not an option. And the fact that six of the humans' pet digimon had arrived so quickly to shut them down. The rest of them spoke the same. They all intended to thwart their plans. They all intended to continue the cycle - Trailmonloads of humans coming and going to the digital world, to interfere, to unleash horrors upon innocent digimon, to eventually take over. And why should they stop? Because it would simply be inconvenient for them. Or they thought what was happening to the digital world was a good thing. This is what the duo expected. All digimon in the digital world they tried to tell hated this plan. And all humans hated this plan too. But... as the digital world fell to chaos, what other choice did they have but to sever the main source of it? They all wanted to continue this game, it seemed. With that, Sanzomon gave a sigh and spoke, turning her head once more. "If only this could be solved with words..." she said, in a resigned tone. "We wish no harm upon humans, only to remove them from our world so that it may heal. That this is something you cannot accept... so be it". She raised her hand, then flourished it in the direction of Tylomon. As she did so, an eerie aurora-like light would form around his mouth. This aura would render one of their strongest threats mute. As she did so, Sanzomon pressed the button her left hand was pushing. At once, the Control Spire emanated an eerie red aura. Nothing else would happen for the moment, however. Meanwhile, for Gokuwmon, it seems this was his cue for combat. The monkey digimon slammed his staff on the ground, immediately summoning a small thick flying cloud. He rode it through the air, quickly raising himself to Assaultmon's height, before initiating the next attack. Wordlessly, flying past on his Somersault Cloud, he aimed his staff, then fired a golden blast directly at the digimon that had threatened them the most. Range was 50 feet, and Gokuwmon did not hold back. It seemed that the time for words had passed.
The Control Spire glows Red.
Effect: [To be revealed]. Sanzomon uses ◕Silence on Tylomon.

Tylomon was surprised when everyone seemed to be giving speeches like he did and siding with him, despite all the smack-talk he was doing purely because he liked annoying his enemies. Deep down, he knew how serious their arrival was, and wanting nothing more than to stop them from sealing the rift between the worlds.
Their words did nothing sadly. Gokuwmon brought up the point that Rosewood could be destroyed by humans as well. Tylomon could not counter this; his previous life's village was also destroyed by a group of humans. He had indeed gone through the pain that Gokuwmon was talking about... but things were different now. There were others who could protect the village. Protect BOTH worlds. Knowing this, he didn't give into their threats.
Tylomon had had enough. At this point he was about to launch a devastating attack, but then something weird happened. The Sanzomon extended her palm towards the flying shark, and suddenly... he couldn't speak.
He couldn't speak! The armored Ultimate mumbled and grumbled as much as he could, but no words could come out of his mouth! He couldn't do any abilities! From the helicopter, Adrian saw Tylomon's fidgeting and comm-ed him. "Tylomon, what are you doing? Is something wrong?"
"MMMMMMPH! RRRMMMMMMPH!" was the only sounds Tylomon was able to make, and they were quiet at that.
"Did... did one of them just mute you?!" Adrian gasped. After a few seconds of thinking about it, Adrian just started laughing a little bit. It was too perfect: the Digimon who had been talking crap the most eventually had his trap shut. "*Ahem* Sorry, sorry... this is really bad. Okay, Tylomon, you probably shouldn't be muted for too long. Just... be creative."
Be creative, huh? Tylomon thought, observing the situation. Gokuwmon seemed to be focusing on Assaultmon currently, so he didn't have to worry about him YET. Then Tylomon noticed how the control spire turned red. Maybe it was supposed to do something bad if someone touched it. But then how was it going to go down?
Then an idea sparked in his brain.
Right then and there, Tylomon charged at full speed with the full intent to ram the Sanzomon who cursed him in the first place right into the red spire, attempting to kill two birds with one stone. THIS IS FOR TAKING AWAY MY BEAUTIFUL VOICE, BITCHMON!
Hopefully Sanzomon wouldn't notice in time and get struck. If she dodged... then Tylomon would be feeling the full force of that spire's effect himself. Tylomon uses the full force of his weight to ram Sanzomon right into the Red Control Spire at top speed.

"Alright, Levi, Tadayoshi wants the digimon to form a perimeter to surround the two digimon guarding the spire."
"I already am."
"You're still hiding."
"Clearly they can see me."
"They can see you hiding. They know you don't consider yourself a threat."
As the Flamedramon and his partner argued, the other digimon gathered around the center.
"That's what I'm counting on, Alan. Listen. They're too full of themselves. If there's a way to convince them to stop what they're doing, it's not gonna be intimidation. And no, if they don't consider the others intimidating, I'm not gonna be the one to succeed on that front. Even if they know where I am, even if they don't see me as a threat. At least that means I get a free hit, no?"
Levi had to keep speaking to drown out the speeches of the others. It hurt too much. It hurt to hear them speaking their minds to the guardians' faces, because he so badly wanted to do the same. Not only that, but he was under orders to join them. How he was still managing to resist was beyond him.
"I... I agree, Levi, but... don't you think we can show the General some trust here? I'd like to think he knows what he's doing. And I want him to trust us, too."
"This... this isn't about making friends!"
Levi felt a wave of uncertainty rush over him at Alan's words, causing him to blurt out an assumption in a leap of logic. This conversation couldn't be allowed to continue, at least not like this.
"No... I know that's not what you meant, Alan, and I'm... immediately sorry for saying it. In truth, I don't know what the correct course of action is. But what I'm sure of, and what I hope will satisfy everyone, is that whatever we do..." He took a deep breath, steeling himself for whatever would happen next. "...needs to be done with confidence."
As if in response to the dragon making up is mind, Levi was quite certain he heard the sounds of a battle starting behind him. Something was starting, anyway, and that likely meant it was a battle. He peeked out from behind the car. The spire was glowing red, Gokuwmon was rising quickly from the ground on a cloud, Tylomon appeared to be growling at Sanzomon, and, most importantly, none of the other digimon who had gathered were looking at Tylomon in a disapproving fashion. The two guardians, at least, seemed to be a bit occupied, so this seemed to be as good a time as any for that free hit he mentioned. "Alan, now that the two guardians have separated, I'll do my best to remain aware of my surroundings, but just to be sure, keep me updated on the one with aerial mobility, if you would." Once Alan acknowledged his request, he took aim at the top section of the spire with his right hand and muttered, "Hotshot," firing a fireball at the spire to ensure it would hit only its intended target, preparing to start running to the right around the spire at this distance once the attack launched, assuming it was likely that this attack would attract some sort of attention, be it from a guardian, or in the most extreme scenario, the spire itself.
Flamedramon uses Hotshot on the top of the spire, and begins to dash counter-clockwise in relation to the spire.
Hotshot - Flamedramon fires a ball of flame, about the size of one of his gauntlets, from one of his gauntlets. Fires accurately in a straight line. Somewhat fast.

"Open fire!" Tadayoshi shouted that at the top of his lungs to his own digivice and to the other humans in his chopper. In response to the threat, Helomon ascended a few dozen feet higher, which made enough sense given that the dominant personality of this fusion was rather the cowardly type.
Assaultmon was in motion before Tadayoshi could utter a second syllable. It was already established that Silence wanted the draw on this pair, and so Assaultmon was more than ready for it. By the time the simian had tapped his staff on the ground, Assaultmon had tensed. By the time he was 20 feet off the ground to match Assaultmon, Assaultmon was running. By the time that staff loosed a blast of energy, Assaultmon had skipped out of its reach... though he did feel the heat for a moment uncomfortably close to his tail. Still, a close call in his favor was still in his favor.
The centaur began to shout orders to his comrades. "Keep them surrounded! Don't let them break the perimeter! Watch the collateral! Hit-and-run!" Assaultmon, unlike, Levi, had to halt in place and face directly at the spire in order to aim his counterattack correctly. He was going to lay down cover fire for his allies, which would either give them some room to breathe... or really, really sting. Both arm guns were already rotating quick enough for rapid fire. All Assaultmon had to do was let them loose.
One gun trained itself on Gokuwmon. The other aimed itself at Sanzomon. That left the two smaller guns sticking out of his torso pointing at the giant red structure. "Laying Suppressive Fire!"
"Cover your ears," Tadayoshi advised his passengers before doing it himself.
While two miniguns unleashed a dizzingly fast hail of metal bullets at their two targets, the middle set of guns laid down a barrage on the glowing red control spire. The greatest thing about Assaultmon's guns, however, was their ability to fire for a long, long time without requiring an overheat. There was no way both enemy digimon could take their minds off evasion for even a millisecond without getting turned into swiss cheese as the main guns tracked their every move. Hopefully, this would grant the allies a reprieve from further attacks for the moment. Assaultmon attacked Gokuwmon, Sanzomon, and the control spire with Suppressive Fire. --Suppressive Fire: This digimon uses every gun on its body to fire on up to three opponents. The amount of fire they take from this forces them either to spend their whole post evading without a chance to attack or take damage boosted by 50%. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Suppressive Fire must cool down: 3 posts remaining.

And there it is, the fight finally breaking out. In reaction, Dorothy does not attack, but merely hides herself, becoming invisible and silent once more as gunfire erupts, Assaultmon being nothing short of a walking arsenal to say in the least. Her intent is not to run away, but for the enemies to lose sight of her, forget she exists... Then strike. After all, armor or otherwise, a Champion isn't anywhere near the strength of an Ultimate. She moves behind the duo and away from the rampaging Assaultmon and the hailstorm of bullets, watching, waiting... A devilish grin on her face. Unless they can detect her, what she'll do next could be very, very painful. Or, of course, she can attack the Spire itself, the cloaked Digimon perhaps having the most options out of anyone right now. Alice covers her ears while the Assaultmon fires, the green haired woman giving the General a slight roll of her eyes, but an understanding one. She can't order Dorothy around like this with such incredible cacophony, so all she can do is hope that she's doing something that helps the rest of the team. Either way, she makes a mental note to bring earplugs to her next excursion to the Digital World, alongside all manner of survival gear. She can only hope things go smoothly, given how much is on the line.
Dorothy uses Stealth Cape.
Covert Design (Passive): Mienumon isn't intended for front line combat in the slightest. It is a being designed to do one thing, and do that one thing better than anyone else: Being sneaky. Doesn't mean attacks are useless coming from such a Digimon, but they're unlikely to be effective unless they're done from the shadows.
Dorothy receives a huge boost to any sneak attacks at the expense of a severe decrease to her offensive capabilities otherwise, and isn't very durable to say in the least. She's also a fair bit faster than normal.
Stealth Cape: Dorothy flutters the cape she's wearing, and she immediately begins to turn invisible and, for the most part, completely silent, allowing her to evade detection, become nearly impossible to hit, and generally follow up for all sorts of antics and trouble.
Lasts 3 turns, but ends when she attacks. Boosts her evasive capabilities greatly and makes her virtually undetectable, perfect for positioning herself better, stealing things undetected, and so on. Four turn cooldown.

Well, this was it. Words, it seemed, had utterly failed to have an effect. As with many an extremist, neither the monkey nor the priestess would listen. And as hell broke loose, with Tylomon getting silenced, and Assaultmon unleashing about 3 times the ordinance she expected, Mizu broke down a bit in her soul. This was more intense than anything she's ever witnessed before. In her confusion, she acted on instinct. She used her Optical Camo to turn invisible, and ran off, into a nearby alley, to hide. There, she hunkered down, holding her head. "I can't do this, I can't do this, I can't do this, sweet merciful Azulongmon, I can't do this. I;m gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die..." The Digimon was panicking somewhat fierce, unable to form coherent thoughts anymore in her brain. A classic nervous breakdown.
Up inside Helomon, Yuki froze. Somehow, she could feel it. Mizu was panicking. She didn't know how she felt it, but it was there, in her soul. She looked down, then looked back at Tadayoshi. "Is there any way I can go down there, into that alley? My partner needs me. And I do not care about my personal danger."
Mizu used Optical Camo. This move allows her to become invisible for one post. This has a cooldown of 3 posts.

While in the helicopter Julian can't help but look on what will soon be the battle scene and feel pathetic, for all of his talk about becoming the greatest hero of the digital world the patamon was still nothing but a liability to both Kazuya and Royland when it comes to combat, atleast that is what he thought. So Julian was determined to find some way to be of use to everyone and the only way he can think of is to provide to Roy, so the patamon flew up to Kazuya's face and began to speak through the comms. "You go for it Roy!! Show them who's boss." Julian said hoping his words will be enough to encourage the digimon he looked up to.
Back to Royland who after he heard the simple and genuine words directed to him felt like he was ready to do whatever. (Heh, gotta make sure I don't disappoint the young kid. Looking over our enemies I assume they will have some ranged attacks, which will put me at a disadvantage, I know I will just do this while I let the others take charge for now.)
"Kazuya hurry up and do me a favour, go ask the other tamers with you about their partners combat abilities, I need that info to formulate a plan, I have some guesses but I need conformations." With that the white lion struck a confident and mighty pose, it does not look like much but actually it increased his attack power by 30% and decreased his defence by 30%. The lion was preparing for a really powerful attack.
Back in the helicopter Kazuya Oda turned towards the other tamers. "Guys Roy thinks that in order to win this conflict smoothly we would need to co-operate and plan our moves, and in order to do that we'd need to learn more about each other's combat skills. So I will go and tell you guys first, Roy in this form is a simple but effective striker, with high damaging melee attacks ans great survivability he is better put at the front of the formation. How about your partners ? Do you think there is someone who can cover Roy if he charges ?" Kazuya asked, time is of the essence.
Combat passives currently active. All eyes on the star : what this passive does is essentially draw the attention of the enemy on him, but also heal him by 5% percent every turn. Combat moves used.
Crowd pleaser : Roy poses for the crowd as he increases his attack by 30% and decreases his defence by 30% for 3 turns.

Deciding that they would get a better and safer vantage point from the roof, Sophie and Lantis had retreated into the AEGIS building, climbing up the darkened stairs all the way to the top level. Panting, the young woman and the Spadamon would watch proceedings from there, both carefully peering onto the street below. Because they were inside, they missed the effect of the golden beam blast as it flew past Assaultmon. Instead, it would continue on to a nearby skyscraper, exploding. Not enough to deal critical damage to the tower, but enough to cause about a dozen windows to shatter and cause damage to 2 floors as it blasted through. Thankfully it was an office building, and nobody would be inside this late on New Year's Day. Sanzomon had expected that the hotheaded fish digimon would be enraged by her seal of silence, and moved to lunge at her. Sanzomon responded to this by making a very high jump, seeming to float in the air as Tylomon went smashing into the Control Spire where she had been standing. Bits of metal and stone fell from it, but the damage was superficial at most. Then Levi's attack was launched at the tower. It seemed to glow red in response to these attacks that hit it. Levi's fireballs left behind scorch marks as they struck. Assaultmon's attack struck hardest. Sanzomon, Gokuwmon and the tower were hit several times by the onslaught, the rate of fire so fast that it would have been a colossal effort to dodge them all. Its other effect was that Sanzomon and Gokuwmon did not notice two of the other digimon disappear. It was of no matter, the Armor Ultimate levels were the biggest threat here. As Sanzomon was struck, the gold crown on her head glowed, sending a swift golden blast of data back at Assaultmon. The effect was little, but would cause his gatling cannons to feel slightly heavier from fatigue. He would thus take longer to use that attack again. Furthermore, many bullets had flown past them, shattering scores of windows and riddling the buildings behind them with holes. The tip of the control spire glowed red, and a loud, sinister humming noise could be heard. Red particles gathered, then, at once, three blood-red laser beams would discharge, aiming at Tylomon, Levi and Assaultmon. "My god... it can do that?!" Sophie gasped. "I didn't know that these things had countermeasures! But... there's 6 digimon attacking isn't there?""It didn't target the GrapLeomon though" Lantis noted, putting his hand to his chin in thought. "Perhaps it only targets digimon that have attacked it... oh god, I hope they're alright..."Sanzomon flinched in pain as the bullets rained upon her unarmored body, her ears ringing from the sheer noise of the guns. She glared down at the digimon opposing them, raising her hand in a spellcasting gesture, blue-white light surrounding her. "May that be a lesson to you" she said, as the red tower behind her changed color to a glowing, pale blue, the chain of red rosary beads suddenly splitting apart, flying around her in circular orbits. "You and your partners have done untold damage to the digital world by recklessly throwing around your power. And now, that power will be taken away from you". Her eyes seemed to glow as she waved her hand over the fighters and cried "Du Zichun Sutra!".Three strange blue clouds of light would fly toward Tylomon, Royland and Assaultmon. If they hit, they would feel a quaint energy rush over them, reducing their strength and will to fight somewhat. Gokuwmon meanwhile still flew though the air on his magic cloud, trying not to show how hurt he was by that attack, data bleeding from the places he was hit, his ears also ringing. His red eyes seemed to glow with rage, but this faded. He would not lose sight of the battle, and besides, the GrapLeomon was preparing something... "Storm Cannon!" he snarled, aiming the same electrified golden beam blast from before down at him.
Red Mode Effect: "Vengeance"
- In Red mode, the Control Spire automatically locks on and counter-attacks any digimon that attacks it or Sanzomon (as long as she is near the tower) in the previous turn with a laser beam that cannot be evaded. Damage is scaled to the level of the target and has about 30% more power than a named ability with no cooldown.
- The Control Spire targets Tylomon and Assaultmon for Ultimate level damage, and Levi for Champion level damage.
- The red light fades and now a blue light glows around the Control Spire.
Damage Taken:
2.5 Armor Ultimate Attacks 1 Armor Champion Attack Sanzomon evades Tylomon's attack by flying upward.
Sanzomon takes full damage from Assaultmon's Suppressive Fire.
Sanzomon's passive ability activates: Jamming Seal, targeting Assaultmon.
Combat Passive Ability: Jamming Seal - If Sanzomon is hit by an attack that has 2 or more turns of cooldown, a mysterious energy rebounds on the attacker automatically, increasing the cooldown of that attack by 1 turn. This means Assaultmon's Suppressive Fire cooldown increases to 4 turns.
Non-Combat Passive Ability: Flight - Sanzomon has the ability to fly.
Sanzomon uses Du Zichun Sutra, targeting Tylomon, Assaultmon and Royland.
Du Zichun Sutra - Sanzomon conjures a magic light that targets up to 3 digimon. The effect of this light is that it affects the combat data of the digimon, reducing the power of their attacks by 30% for 2 turns if successful. [Cooldown: 2 turns]
Sanzomon is floating within the blue light perimeter of the tower, approximately 10 meters in the air.
Gokuwmon takes full damage from Assaultmon's Suppressive Fire.
Gokuwmon's passive ability activates: Shroud of Warfare.
Combat Passive Ability: Shroud of Warfare - if hit by an attack with more than 2 turns of cooldown, Gokuwmon's own cooldowns decrease by the same amount of turns as the attack that hit him. This reduces Storm Cannon's cooldown to 0.
Combat Passive: Somersault Cloud - While in combat, Gokuwmon has the ability to fly on a magic cloud, able to travel at high speed around the battlefield. Evasion is increased while he is flying.
Gokuwmon uses Storm Cannon on Royland.
Storm Cannon - Gokuwmon charges up energy in his staff, then launches it at a target. This ability has the ability to pierce through passive and active defenses. [Cooldown: 2 turns]

From up on high, at first, it looked like the home team was sitting pretty. Assaultmon was right; these two digimon were outnumbered, outmatched, and overall way overpowered. Things, however, went straight back to hell very quick. First, one of the team went and panicked, running away from the battle altogether. There's no time for this crud! Tadayoshi growled internally. Even worse, the control spire was no still black obelisk like the General had been led to believe. This one was fighting back! Tadayoshi was already showing signs of distress: harder breathing, wide eyes, clutching his hang handle harder. At least Yukiko understood her digimon was a liability and wanted to correct it, but the problem there was her solution was unfeasible. "If you don't care about your safety, there's the door!" The hand clutching his digivice was still able to use one finger to point at the open side of the cabin. The drop was certainly deadly for any human, and he knew it. Still, he couldn't get them any lower. "If Helomon drops too low then the fusion will break, and I don't think anyone wants that." He held out his hand toward Yukiko then. "Helomon! Keep still and steady! Yukiko, give me your digivice. I have another idea."
"Steadying out!" Helomon's reply was matched with action, pausing in midair now instead of slowly circling. That let Tadayoshi free one hand (though balance was still unsteady), which he used to hold Yukiko's digivice if she handed it over. One digivice per hand, he held his close to hers and pushed a few buttons on his own. What he was doing wasn't immediately clear, but he passed the D-3 back to its rightful owner after about fifteen seconds. That was when she might discover a function it didn't used to have: a comm link with her digimon.
"There. Now tell her to get her butt in the battle. There's no highway option this time!" Apparently, the fact that he was the youngest person on the chopper still hadn't gotten to him in the way he spoke to others. After that order, Mizu couldn't afford to be his problem. He had other matters to deal with. For example, he recoiled in horror as a blast from the control spire went and struck all the digimon that struck it. "Oh, my-!" "Gyah!" Even Assaultmon, the lightning-fast light assault digimon, didn't have a chance against it. The best he could do was dig in his heels and bear the strike straight in his chest, leaving a big old burn hole in its center. He tried to keep up the fire for a counterattack, but that magical light which engulfed him caused his barrels to feel much heavier in his arms, heavy enough that they dropped a bit. Prudently, Assaultmon didn't let himself fire at the street. "General, please advise!" Even though Tadayoshi shouted at all the Tamers plus Assaultmon, Sophie and Lantis were probably also able to hear him order the group, "If that control spire only hits when we hit it then leave it alone! Attack it only at your own risk!" Tadayoshi's eyes narrowed on Sanzomon, then. He had a theory. "That female digimon was operating something before. Whatever it is, I bet she's got some kind of link to the obelisk we don't like. Get her away from that spire!"
"Yes, sir!" Well, maybe Commandramon's guns felt heavy and sluggish, but his feet were still in fine working order. He got to running again, but this time instead of circles he ran in a straight line... at Sanzomon. "Team, concentrate fire on Sanzomon!" Maybe it was generally a bad idea to make your strategy so clearly known, but Assaultmon knew what he was doing. He wanted Sanzomon on alert. He wanted her to move... nice and far away from the control spire. Hoping to scare her more, the horse managed to put on such a boost of speed zigzagging on his path to charge toward her that the after image looked like a second Assaultmon altogether. In fact, even more speed looked like a third one. Then, four. Then five! As they ran, they expertly maneuvered around each other, making their paths less straight and therefore less predictable.
Actually, only one armed centaur was charging at Sanzomon, but ideally she would have no way of knowing that. Just for extra insurance, though, the erratic paths of each one was an effort to disguise which of the clones was the real deal. What made it more convincing was that every single one of them was indeed solid, since it was just the centaur moving very fast from one point in space to another. If they got close enough, they would then try to use their bulk to ram right into Sanzomon and force her back a distance from the obelisk, though minding their surroundings they also tried to make sure she stumbled down the street, not toward a structure. "Alan, cut the chatter and get your head in the game. Kazuya, we've already been through that all. If it helps, speed and confusion are Assaultmon's game; his job will be to keep the enemy on their back feet as long as possible. If you want someone to cover Roy, he's your 'mon right now. Now get him in the fight while Assaultmon is making a diversion!" Assaultmon was hit by Vengeance.Assaultmon was hit by Du Zichun Sutra.
Assaultmon used Scatter Clone to create four clones. -Scatter Clone: This digimon moves so quickly that the afterimages he leaves look like up to four solid clones. These clones separately speak and can appear to use abilities but can’t actually use them. A clone disappears if it gets hit by a damaging ability, if the real Assaultmon gets hit by a damaging ability, or after three of the opponent’s posts. Cooldown: 3 posts. Assaultmon and all four clones charged at Sanzomon and attempted to shove or scare her away from the spire.
Assaultmon's damage is weakened 30%: 1 post remaining. Assaultmon has four solid clones: 3 opponent's posts remaining.
Suppressive Fire must cool down: 3 posts remaining. Scatter Clone must cool down: 3 posts remaining.
