So they kept re-itering points, bouncing off of one another and kept getting to the same all around point. She was a delivery person if anything carrying a varying array of goods. But it wasn't consistent enough to make it so that the Biyomon could say one way or another! Holly tutted softly and just kept making notes, circling points and simply tapping at her notepad.
So there was a task. Vlad was directly involved and she had never performed it alone. But that was the clincher. Would it always be Vlad helping out or were there others? The meicrackmon tapped at her notepad as Eris posed some new questions.
Pretty direct in assuming that they would have to help them transport the item or acquiring it but... If the biyomon stayed silent that would pretty much close it out but... At the same time if they were able to answer this would make it pretty problematic.
"Vlad aside, are there other individuals that have helped you before with the task?"
Honestly holly wasn't sure what else she could ask at this junction. It seemed pretty straightforward from here on out even if they seemed to be going in circles in one way or another.

Alan pressed his fingers into his forehead, flipping hastily through his notes, fearing he might be falling behind. He decided to focus on the information that had just been given to them. "Transporting something... something... not the same type of... 'goods...' illegal but not necessarily harmful... repeatable..."
Levi looked up from the notes. "Forgive me if this has been asked already; it's getting rather hard to remember but: does Terminus have any laws regarding curses or spells?"
Hm? Levi might be onto something. Laws regarding... oh my god. It's only speculation, but...
"I have a far-fetched theory, but I want to know more about the nature of the curse itself before saying anything for sure. Can this curse... be transferred onto others?"
Alan thought this new theory of his was rather creative, and hoped it wasn't immediately shot down. Though, technically, it would be a bad thing on others' accounts if said theory was correct, so he supposed it was somewhat selfish to hope he was right for the sake of being right.
'Transporting something', huh?

Now that was a thought.
Dr. Mikemon had already poked at it likely - the curse was relevant to completing the task in some way - but why? What did the negative implication have to do with delivering an item? More to the point, why was their help needed to attempt something as simple as a delivery? The doctor wasn't naive, there had to be at least one more step to it, more than what Eris and Holly were asking.
Questions that B would still answer, of course: "So you need our help transporting the item in question that you're required to deliver per the curse? Do you also need our help acquiring the items?"
"Um, let's see, anything to acquire..."
"Vlad aside, are there other individuals that have helped you before with the task?"
"No - not on a consistent enough manner to matter, anyway." The fact that B had trouble answering Eris' question at all was completely bizarre. It wasn't a 'silent yes', but more of a confused meddling as it passed onto the next question. If B herself wasn't certain, then this mission was pointless.
But then the Veemon and Alan drove it right home, first with a question to Mikemon: "Forgive me if this has been asked already; it's getting rather hard to remember but: does Terminus have any laws regarding curses or spells?"
"It varies on the type. Naturally, intent to harm and purposeful disruption are illegal, but it largely goes unanswered based on the willingness of the target. It's one of those things that's difficult to prove."
Alan's following question pressed right on that point: "I have a far-fetched theory, but I want to know more about the nature of the curse itself before saying anything for sure. Can this curse... be transferred onto others?"
A pause. The Biymon clicked her beak, hesitating, but ultimately remaining silent.
"... Curse milling."
"Wait, how do you mean by that?" Isabelle interjected, and Mikemon interrupted as he explained: "The spellcaster prepares a curse on a target to evaluate its effectiveness, then once its perfect, transfers it over to the actual target. If I had to guess, the Biyomon was unable to complete the task once the Myotismon passed, and was left up the creek without a spellcaster to transfer the curse. Talk about losing the lottery..."
"Is there anything that can be done?"
"Potentially, its already tuned to transfer to the target, and a lesser spellcaster can transfer the curse to a correct target - but therein lies the problem."
The Biyomon sighed. "... Speaking generally, that would be that its basically assault, right?"
"... Unfortunately."

"So wait..." Eris questioned with a tilt of her head her little nose scrunching up in thought, "The thing the Biyomon needs to transport is the curse itself?" The Gigimon inquired before realizing asking the group in general was pointless.
So instead she turned to look the the bird in question. "Is the package Vlad wanted you to deliver to it's intended target the curse currently on you?" The Tiny Dragon asked tail twitching with excitement and the hope that maybe they were closing in on things.

More answers, more things she had to write down. Holly would bite her lip, struggling to come up with questions but at least writing down all the answers they were given, cross referencing with things from earlier.
Then there was that stuff about the curses, causing Holly to blink; spin around her pen a few times and then rapidly start jotting down the conversation that had been going on. The reactions to each and the topic of curse milling. She wasn't used to curses, she wasn't used to those that applied them and she certainly didn't know what constituted a transferable curse! But it was information none the less.
But then the trouble came to the fact that they had to transfer the curse off to get rid of it, which would require them to assault someone. So the thing that this Biyomon had to deliver was the curse then? Holly's brows furrowed, she'd open and close her mouth... then... Holly blinked slowly and turn her hands over a few times.
"Wouldn't a higher grade spellcaster be-able to just counter-act the curse? If assualt is the only answer now then we have to take action to remove it yes? As I doubt that B here wants to even think about attacking someone and their Human probably wouldn't want them to do that either. Sure This guy was a friend but is it really worth it to potentially get in trouble with one of the largest cities in the digital world just for a Dead mon? Packages be darned but... Long term this could affect you drastically long term if you did something stupid. And even if you did find the right person there's no guarentee you'd be able to transfer the curse successfully or if they'd even be someone you could get to reasonably."
The meicrackmon twirled her pen a bit and raised a brow. She didn't like the idea of passing this curse off even if it was a solution. It actually was kind of frustrating and she was sure that these two would be better off if they just removed it with a greater tier of spellcaster. Or barring that...
"'Cause you also gotta figure, There's that gossip system and trust too. If you do that you probably won't be well liked or trusted by people that hear of it. 'Oh look it's that biyomon, better steer clear of her. She might curse ya' Or somethin like that."

They had to hand it to themselves; the pair of eager explorers felt rather smart after striking upon what appeared to be a major breakthrough. The Biyomon was reacting as if she was waiting to discuss this part for a while. At least, that's how it seemed to them. Now that they had a specific "package" to deliver, they could assume that the curse is what was to be transferred and work from there. Clearly, it would be important to know who exactly the target was, or if there was a specific intended target.
While trying to hold back and not be too overwhelming, the human and digimon would take turns asking a few more of their own questions:
"First: Assuming it's this curse that is supposed to be transferred, is there a specific intended recipient, and if so, do you know who it is?" "Second: This curse, by its nature, involves assigning a task to the recipient. Is it possible to change the task to something simple when you pass it on so that the curse can go away and stop being transferred around?" "Third: Are we making too many assumptions? Should we step back a bit?"

Well, clarification was a good point to settle on, and as Eris centered her question on B, the bird simply clacked her beak. Unable to answer, but at this point it was clear what was going on.
Holly's questions were better fielded by Dr. Mikemon as it was. He mulled over the thought for a second: "If the curse was easy to remove without causing damage to the host, then I wouldn't have bothered organizing this mission in the first place. I understand your feelings on the situation, Holly, but to be perfectly clear, I've always had the option to forcefully remove the curse. But there's simply no telling how its bound to her data."
To her last point, B simply gave a sigh, Isabelle shaking her head at the entire prospect. "To think you've gotten into this sort of mess behind my back..."
But while they were at it, might as well answer a couple more questions for curiosity's sake. In order - did they know the target, could the task be adjusted, and were they making too many assumptions? The cat raised his brow at the third, but the bird answered as best she could:
Silence to the first. To the second, she tilted her head: "No... that's not quite right. The trait of the curse is that it can be passed on."
"If you can't assign a tertiary target, it just remains on the 'last in line'. Further, there's no guarantee the curse would even remain in the same form once its passed on." As for the third, well, the bird didn't answer, but more for the sake that everything to this point has been spot on.
Which left the room in an awkward state.
"Honestly, I feel I've heard enough. Anyone who wants to step out now will be fully compensated for their time."
"Wait, what are you-"
"Out of my pocket, of course. Honestly, I don't care how dedicated you were to this vampire's cause or what was going on, but proceeding further violates my basic code of ethics. If you want to pursue treatment, that's another story, but..."
"..." The bird grit her beak, letting out a 'tsk' behind a frustrated scowl. Yeah, that's not what she wanted to hear.

Eris frowned shifting back and forth in her chair feeling incredibly uncomfortable with the sudden turn of events. Technically the vampire digimon was dead. Was it really right to be enacting more harm on his behalf to others from beyond he grave.
"Why would he want to curse this person so bad? What did they do to deserve it? Is it really right to be well...hurting these people? Is the curse even intended for the one that did him him? I mean he's gone." Eris murmured voicing her thoughts aloud as she eyed the others. Unsure what to do in this situation and lacking the information to really decide for certain.
On one hand she didn't want the bird hurt. On the other hand they came here to help fix the curse. Not just pass it on to another where it would do just as much if not more damage.

Holly frowned slightly as her da pointed out a really good reason for not doing anything with the curse. She'd nod her head slightly and note that for this entirety the group didn't have much more ground to gain. There was simply no way of removing the curse without attacking someone that wasn't involved in any way. The meicrackmon closed her eyes and huffed.
They would have to go with the idea of removing the curse, it'd be painful of course but it would leave innocents out of the way of harm. The meicrackmon stood up, moved over to her da and handed him the notes that she had been taking this entire time with a somewhat frustrated look on her face. She wanted a better ending than this but it looked to be the best way to go about it.
"Go with the forceful removal of the curse, this isn't something you should pass on if you have to attack others for it. I think it's best if the group steps out and lets my Da handle that. Sorry we couldn't really sort this out."
Holly turned her head to glance at the other two before shrugging. If not stopped the meicrackmon would excuse herself from the room and move on to another project...
