Ophelia would grit her teeth, growling a hair more lowly at her attack - whilst landing - not doing quite as she wanted, which was a bit of a waste of the gambit. She'd bring the sword back, ready to spin around into another strike; but would pause with surprise as Ryouta began doing... Something... She wasn't actually sure! All she knew was there was some weird lightshow going on around him - particularly with his eyes getting all glowy, and his training sword too! Did humans have special attacks like digimon??
This certainly startled Ophelia, now- she expected humans to be pretty different from digimon! But this one seemed quite similar, in fact; even if humans were squishier than digimon according to Valt. What was this attack of his going to do? Could she take it?
Well... Even if the answer to those two questions were - presently - a big shrug, Ophelia wasn't one to scare easily. Gritting her teeth into a cocky grin, she'd simply charge head-on with a shout, jabbing at Ryouta! Instead of intimidating or taking her by surprise, the lightshow instead seemed to make her even more foolhardy as she tried to get that aforementioned jab in to see if she could interrupt whatever she thought he was doing!

The lightshow doesn't really deter her, huh... Not bad for Digimon who fought human for the first time, but it can be treated as recklessness. Valt is sure that she doesn't think about it too much, but in this case, it's her advantage. Not thinking too much when it comes to human's flashy lights probably one of the best thing unless it's an artifact. It's neither thankfully. However, this is good; not only it'll make Ryouta have to launch some sort of flashy attack... he must have to make it convincing to make sure Ophelia got caught off guard. If this is the old Ryouta, he probably would have done it with natural flare to it, but this is....
...This is Ka**n Ride* loving Ryouta, right...? The ham must be there!
"....Well, then..."
When Ophelia aimed for jab, suddenly Ryouta jumped backward and shoots six ball of light that exploded upon contact with ground. There are no sound to them, and what he's meant to do is to blind Ophelia. Knowing that there will be chance for her to recover before the effect truly done, Ryouta swiped his blade upward in swinging motion. The friction between the tip and the sand suddenly created a energy wave shaped like a shark fin that ready to impact itself on Ophelia....
Obviously it'll deal no damage whatsoever.
But he quickly followed it up with real attack. Ryouta stepped to one of the rocks in that training ground. Jumping from the sand is a bit of a bother, but with this, he's sure that it could lead him to victory! Immediately, he rolled forward midair and do an overhead slash with both hands!

At the start, Ophelia certainly thought that she had a handle on this fight; she usually was great with a sword! Pressure the opponent n' throw in a few jabs before they can pull anything, quick and clean! But it seemed that she was starting to struggle a bit now - and this only became more apparent with the following string of moves.
Ophelia made a soft growl as Ryouta would leap back and away from her jabs - though, didn't have much time to follow up before he tossed out those six orbs. As they were tossed out and burst into light, Ophelia would be momentarily dazzled - taking a second to blink the stars out of her eyes with their sensitivity to light - though she couldn't help but note that they made no sounds, even with her sensitive ears. She didn't really have much time to consider why this might be the case though, as Ryouta was quick to follow up with an energy wave kicked up in the sand; which she just barely dodged by jumping aside, purely on reflex more than anything.
Of course though, while she was able to avoid these two 'attacks' - she wasn't so lucky with the overhead slash. Just as she landed from the jump aside, she'd already notice Ryouta leaping forward with an overhead slash - one that Ophelia parried with her training sword. Between the power behind the blow though - with the leap and Ryouta's strength - and the sheer size of the blade itself, the training sword would bend under the pressure. It would splinter and crack - it seemed like a good push would completely split it in half! Ophelia even buckled slightly under the pressure - her knees bending as she tried to keep from being pinned in the parry - albeit to little avail.
However, Ophelia would notice her training sword's condition - both hearing and seeing it - and would act quickly, focusing out some ice. It would start under the palms of her hands where she gripped the training sword, and gradually but quickly spread out across the length of it; filling in any cracks and splintering, and keeping it from falling apart any further.. This usually was a trick she used to enhance her Blue Blade in fights; but given that this was a blunt edge instead of a sharp edge, this was mostly just to reinforce the training sword and keep it from breaking completely! Of course, this probably also meant that any jabs or swings from her would be a bit chilled - but she was pretty sure Ryouta could handle it, if he's been hanging out here in the frigid Northern Prominence like this!

"Alright, match over!" suddenly Valt declared. He approached both fighter before any more move can be done. He gauged the damage on each sword and jotted it down on his notepad. "Time to take a lil break, yeah? Good work you two."
Valt gestured for them to sit on the wooden building's deck. Ryouta immediately plopped and wiped sweats from his workout. That was... rather intense. Valt returned with bowls of soup... who cooked it? No idea, but it's just there. He too then take a seat beside them.
"Alright, so... Ophelia, you did great, but you're a bit reckless. You did good on utilizing your size, but seem to be a bit confused when your opponent suddenly changes style. Your tactic on the last part was quite creative. To reinforce the sword with ice... but there's a it of a mistake there. I feel you should do that the moment the sword about to hit. If you're too late, the blade would bend regardless. But that's a good work. By the way, your plus point was your ability to keep fighting on despite the human suddenly made some... glowy effects. Those are just tricks. If there are human who can actually uses something that's not just flashy lightwork when they do that, then they must be a supernatural being."
We with that said.... "If you're still up for next fight then you'll be fighting against me," Valt suddenly commented.

Ophelia would blink as Valt called for the match to end, and as Ryouta backed off and plopped down on the nearby deck. She did appreciate the break, indeed - using this chance to catch her breath - though she felt confident she could keep going! Maybe Ryouta needed that break, though? He did seem to be sweating a bit...
Well, either way, Ophelia was going to capitalize on the break given. She'd follow Ryouta up to the deck - setting the blade aside as she did - and hopped on, her claws lightly clacking on the wood. She'd glance to Ryouta for a few moments, seeming to ponder something- until she decided to casually flop across his lap with a happy "Prrrp!" She seemed to be relaxing pretty quickly - her tailtip gently swaying as she made herself comfy on Ryouta's lap; what was a spitfire little lioness before was suddenly a content housecat!
All the same though, she'd glance up at Ryouta out of the corner of her eye, and grinned in his direction the best she could - given the awkward angle - cheerily mentioning "That was fun, we oughta do that again sometime!" Even if it seemed that Ryouta had the upper hand towards the end of the sparring match, and even if she was a hair frustrated at her attacks not working as she planned them to, she had a lot of fun! The fact she found someone who might actually give her a run for her money absolutely thrilled her, in fact!
Her ears would perk as she heard Valt approach though, and she'd sit up to accept the bowl of soup - chirping "Thank you!" with a big grin before she proceeded to dig in. She'd slow down a bit though as Valt began to list off his observations, ears swiveled in his direction as she listened intently. It wasn't the first time she was called reckless or whatnot, she noted to herself quietly. She did tend to get a bit caught up in fights - and her style focused around keeping an enemy pressured and on the defensive, and fighting thru whatever they wanted to toss at her. Of course, she wasn't a juggernaut though, which usually meant it didn't end very well when they did start hitting back. Maybe she should consider something...
In any case though, she'd nod in response to Valt's criticisms and praise, unable to help swelling a little with said praise; though she still took the criticisms to mind regardless. She just couldn't help but feel good and bask in any praise she got - it usually meant that she was doing really good in some way! That she'd be making people proud!
When Valt offered to fight her next though, the Spadamon would almost instantly snap to attention - if she wasn't already snapped to attention before that was - her ears perked. She'd scarf down the last of the soup, her tail swishing as she got up to her feet, proclaiming "Hell yeah, I'm up! Lets go!" with a wide grin - already hopping from foot to foot as she got herself warmed back up "Should I use my real blade? A different training sword? Fists?"

When Ryouta was about to grab for his water bottle, suddenly he heard a sound of purr. Eh? Before he could ask what's wrong, the source herself suddenly plopped on his lap. Hoh...? Well,,, this is new. Ryouta absentmindedly scratches the back of her ear while catching his breath. He only stopped when Valt passed him the soup. It was delicious, a mix of chicken, chickpeas, carrots, and various other ingredients, a cream soup that seriously felt so filling after a spar in cold place like this. Well, at least it's not as cold as compared to the outside. Boy, outside is just way too cold for his taste.
"Well, that was fun indeed, although I'm not so sure I can keep you entertained, heh. Humans only can improve to certain point where at that point they stagnated... I'm no different."
"Aniki is actually quite strong by human standard," Valt told Ophelia. "Well, not THE strongest, but still very strong for a guy his age."
"I have no plan to be the world's strongest man, thank you."
"Pffft~"
Well it looks like that he's up though. Valt dusted himself. "You can use your sword. Don't worry, this time around we'll get slightly serious, alright? Don't mind the wound, because I have someone who can patch us in jiffy."
Valt's hand suddenly crackled with electricity. He readied his stance, a mix of what looked like boxing and karate.

Ophelia seemed to enjoy the attention, tilting her head against Ryouta's hand as he gave her earscritches, purring louder and having a content, relaxed expression. She wasn't sure why people weren't more willing to snuggle up together - it's nice being close to other people, and sharing the warmth, especially in cold places like the Prominence! And gentle touches like this made it all even better...! The soup was just as enjoyable too, she found - though she wasn't a big vegetables 'mon, she wasn't necessarily picky either - and the chicken and broth were good!
Her ears would perk as she glanced at Ryouta and Valt as they bantered, and she giggled a little - grinning widely to Ryouta. "Why not? I imagine trying to be the strongest human around could be fun! Be the best that you can be!" It was a bit of a shame that humans couldn't keep getting stronger like digimon - though she supposed digimon had that problem too, yeah? The bar was just higher for them than humans, she guessed. "And either way, I think I could still learn a bunch from sparring with you lots!" She'd chirp in conclusion, gently bunting her cheek against Ryouta's shoulder in a friendly gesture.
When the time came for Valt and her to spar though, Ophelia would eyeball the electricity crackling along Valt's hands with curiosity - her tailtip twitching before she got up and drew her blade - the Blue Blade - proper. While she was a hair unsure about the wound - he seemed to not worry too much about it, and so his reassurance would bring her back to her readied confidence, grinning widely. "Alright, I'm ready then!" She'd chirp, tail swishing side to side and ears perked.

"Humans community doesn't... really admires those who are the strongest, sadly," Ryouta commented, scratching his head. "A lot of them would either paint you in slanderous way, or say they're much better than you are, or some even would treat you like some asshole even though you're not. At worse, they'll even tell you to save people with the ability you have, not even caring how or why you got your abilities. That, is how human society works. That's why I don't really want to be the strongest. Less headache to me."
More fun and experience huh... Ryouta strokes Ophelia's head absentmindedly when she rubbed her cheek on his shoulder. "Well, if you want to keep going with us that's not an issue. I might be the strongest in this team fighting ability wise, but there are those who probably wouldn't mind to spar with you too. Well, not everyone though... But there are a lot of strong Digimons here... Some as experienced as Valt. You can ask more for their guidance."
"But just so you know, when it comes to battle, I'm the best in this place~"
"Ha!"
Looks like Ophelia is ready... Now... this is the time.
"Well, then, if you don't want to attack first!"
Suddenly, Valt tossed out ball of energy, a completely unorthodox moves for many Vmon, yet here he is, creating sphere of energy to shot out from both of his palm. However, he doesn't stop. Instead, he dashed around, trying to see if the girl would charge at him or return with a projectile attack.

The notion of sticking with these people seemed nice, continuing to train with them... Ophelia seemed to give it legitmate thought, when it was brought up - the idea of having a bunch of new people to meet and spar with definitely sounded fun! Although... "That sounds great! Though... I kinda wanna see the world, too - that's why I left my den!" Ophelia chirped with a thoughtful smile then; "I'd be down to come back and visit, if there's more people here to meet, though!"
As for the sparring session in progress though, Ophelia would be ready this time; and in being readied, she could see the ranged attack coming and would leap into a roll to the side to avoid it. Her teeth were bared in an eager grin, and her tail was lashing - both to maintain her balance, and belying her building energy and excitement. Now this is a fight - and having sparred with Ryouta made for a great warmup! She'd deftly land on her feet at the end of the roll, but instead of straightening up, would be crouched down to ready her blade - running a hand over it to cover it in ice, with a razor sharp edge to match! With that, she'd pounce forward at Valt, her sword readied!
Ophelia lacked a great deal in the form of ranged attacks; weapons like swords - or her fists, fangs, and claws - were her forte, which meant she was primarily a melee fighter above all else. Perhaps she could jury-rig up something like ice throwing knives or something; but in this form, her control over ice wasn't quite so refined yet. She was getting there, though! All that aside though, she'd use the leap forward to close the distance between them; slashing horizontally at Valt with her Blue Blade! "Hyaaah!"
Ophelia dodges Valt's V-Wave, and retaliates by using Blue Blade!
ABILITY USED: [ATTACK] Blue Blade - Ophelia coats her blade in cold, and uses it to jab and slash at the enemy.

"Well that's fine, I mean, we won't force you to hole up here. It's just our base is here. You can return here anytime, really. You're free to go your way in this world, really, we won't stop you, only request you to please don't paint human in undesirable light or when you go to real world to not make it feel like Digimons are menace, that's all. I think that's kinda a common sense?"
If Valt have to say, though, another horizontal slash is predictable. It's safe, and have more chance of hitting. If it was another attack, he'll probably unable to seamlessly do this, but he quickly backflipped, avoiding Ophelia's slash by few good inches. Valt quickly pulled his left arm backward midair. The moment his feet touched the ground again, he dashed, fist ready and shining.
Upon getting close to the lion lady, knowing well how she would hit in case of her trying to counter him, he launched a dynamite punch to the chest!

Ophelia would blink a bit as Valt backflipped away from her slash - this guy was pretty acrobatic, huh? - only to retaliate with an attack of his own; a glowing punch aimed for the chest!
She wasn't about to just lay there and take the hit though - and would do a short hop to the side to try and avoid it. Valt was faster this time though, as the blow glanced off her shoulder - making her hiss sharply and stumble for but a second before she regained her footing. That smarts! But it showed that Valt wasn't gonna hold back either - which only made her excitement and eagerness grow.
The glancing blow - though it did leave her shoulder aching - did not throw off her retaliation attack. With but a moment to focus, the icy portion of the blade would begin to grow in size; lengthening into a razor-sharp blade more befitting of perhaps a human-sized sword than a Spadamon-sized sword! Having to grip the handle with both hands as a result, Ophelia would lift it over her head before executing a forward and savage downward slash at Valt - to try and catch him at the tail end of his dynamite punch. As she did this, she would let out a hearty (albeit not quite as impressive, given her small size) roar! "Hroaaaawr!"
Ophelia is hit with a glancing blow from Valt's V-Magnum, and attempts to return the favor with Have at Thee!
[ATTACK] Have at thee! - With a battlecry, Ophelia's blade enlarges into a long blade of ice, and she leaps into a savage downward slash at the foe! [1 Turn Cooldown]

Valt did not stop to catch breath or to marvel at the damage he did at her, no. This is too shallow. He need to move fast. The Vmon readied his next move. Should he use V-Aura again or should he use something else? By now Ophelia already seen his V-Aura, so it's unlikely that he can toss it at her without repercussion. Perhaps one at blank range? Let's do that.
Once again, Valt dashed, his fist glows blue yet again. The blue dragon is ready to launch his attack but... To his surprise suddenly he saw Ophelia's blade lengthened. Horizontal slash again!? He quickly backstepped, but his initial charging made his backstep less stronger than usual. To his surprise, it's not a horizontal slash but a vertical one instead!
"Cra--"
His instinct managed to help him shoot V-Aura right to the attacking Ophelia, hopefully catching her off guard while launching him backward enough to dodge--but the reality wasn't like that. Spray of white substance accompanied with red bubbling data bits flew to the air as Ophelia managed to hit not a glancing blow, although slightly shallow to be called a nice slash. Valt glanced downward at his chest to his stomach and grinned.
"Well that was something..."

Ophelia was hissed sharply as she was struck dead-on by the V-Aura, and would be knocked back by the blast - tumbling backwards in the process. It'd take her a moment to get back on her feet, rolling forward- though as she did, she'd notice the injury she inflicted on Valt. Geez, she must've got him good there; though she was a little concerned at first, considering that she was still a little used to her sister being around to mend up any scrapes n whatnot... Though, his grin and remark would reassure her and make her grin back, tail swishing. "You're telling me," She'd retort with a giggle, rubbing the still-sore spot where she was struck by the V-Aura.
Not about to let Valt make the first move as they went back into the rhythm though, Ophelia would ready her sword as she darted at him from an angle. Since then, her blade was back to its more normal size - though it was still coated in ice as she brought it up to let loose a few jabs at him with Blue Blade once she got close, keeping on the pressure and keeping an eye on Valt's fists.

However this time around, it's time to turn the situation slightly to his favor. Valt watched as Ophelia's sword glows blue. Nope. Before she could even attempt to move the sword, he inhaled deeply... and then...
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"
It was such a loud roar, albeit one that only befitting dragon of his stature. The Vmon's body is coated with white and silvery glow that seem to spiral around his person. His scales seem to has lost a bit of their luster, but in its place... Suddenly, Valt dodged the blow, faster than before. On the last stab he instead closed in, not allowing Ophelia to slash or stab anymore unless she gained distance. But even then, his fist are ready; this time it's aimed at her chin. Valt did a quick uppercut. The speed and power of this one is not like his regular attack it seems.

Ophelia would be startled at Valt's sudden increase in speed, as he dodged her jabs with seeming ease - on top of that roar, and sudden silvery aura... It was clear that something changed here, though it took a second for Ophelia to catch onto it - and that second was all it took for Valt's punch to slam into her jaw, sending her stumbling back - visibly dazed - nearly falling over in the process. "F-fuck..!" She cursed, ears tilted back and tail twisting about to maintain her balance - that hurt pretty badly, she noted; her free hand rubbing at her aching jaw.
She wasn't about to let Valt get one over on her though, and was already preparing another big attack - her blade lengthening with that same sharp ice. However, when she was about to charge, she hesitated - recalling what Valt mentioned before her being reckless, and being confused when an enemy changes style... She'd take a second to pause and hold her ground instead - trying to see if she could time it for when Valt gets in close, and instead of doing the usual downward slash she favored with this, doing a whirl around herself instead. "Raaah!"
Ophelia is attempting to time Have At Thee! to catch Valt when he gets close!
