"Grr..."
As if it would be that simple! As the Solarimon joined that ensnaring grip, and gave its own effort to dry and draw the serpent off of the ground, the Megidramon was intent on the exact opposite. His remaining claw reached around, intent on trying to rip one of those wings straight from the god's back like a delicate chicken...
... And were it not for Mae's efforts, that might have come to pass. However, a sharp strike to the back of his head caused the dragon to roar out in pain, taken straight upwards like a linear bolt, streaming right past the Sagittarimon's and Fladramon's respective sight... Though, that meant little for the situation on the ground. The seed of devastation had already been planted, the Megidramon's energy running rampant through the ground. Deep crevasses of energy boiled up and spilled out into crimson light, entire plates of earth starting to sink into a molten mass of destruction below. Even the ground under Toki's feet began to shift, the Earthen Bastion and the conjured 'Death Crystal' surrounding the intricate statue of Ebonwumon.
"Do what you must. Use some of my data, but I do not wish to sit idly by while those I care about are getting hurt because of this. The Digital World is a place I wish to protect with everything that I am. So please...if you can hear me, give me an answer."
As Toki's words were spoken, he might fear that he would not hear an answer, and for several seconds, the statue did not stir. But as that light of destruction roared out, as the Megidramon was carried off into the sky, Toki would sense it.
First, he would feel it - the sense of a calming power rushing outward from the statue, threatening to quell this radioactive burst all in one motion. Then, he would see it: his own Earthen Bastion springing with life, a harsh ivy overtaking and reinforcing the wall, holding the ground even at Toki's feet firm.
Finally, he would witness it: a grand emerald light spilling out from the statue, steam rising from its body as the magnificent beast's feet began to move, a rocky exterior falling as if it were a century old layer of dust. With the grunt of a beast, the Ebonwumon would raise both of its heads, and cry out with a trumpeting roar, a gentle humid air radiating and cutting through the foul energy. Toki, the last one on the ground, would feel something rush past his ankles.
Water. Pure, clean water ran straight over that ragged ground, the crevasses themselves becoming the structure for waterfalls that poured down to that molten core, a hot steam replacing that ruby light. That moment of purity, lasting about ten seconds or so, gave way to what could only be described as a miracle.
Underbrush. Greenery. Flowers. Vines. Weeds. The very scorched ground below them turned to a loamy, fertile soil, the seeds of life rapidly growing and maturing to a thick layer of plants. Flowers budded and died, smaller plants sprouted and cast their seeds, generation after generation of growth repeated in mere moments, until massive trees started to sprout from those roots, stretching past even the Fladramon's position.
This place - what was a bare minute ago an uninhabitable wasteland - rapidly turned to the purest font of life that any would witness, a thick canopy obscuring the fight above.
The Ebonwumon's cry would recede, the turtle carefully inspecting the ground underneath, before returning its attention towards the Lagosmon, a small nod shared with the desperate spirit. 'Together, then'."
Solarimon's words rang out with a song of truth, the two carried further up into the sky. The battlefield below had been obscured by the greenery, perhaps hiding Dr. Cross' and the Megidramon's fate from the rest of the group, but even those from the canopy below would hear at least one thing from above. The dragon's fangs sank deep around the Solarimon's shoulder, the dragon's energy coming to a peak as they reached the stratosphere above...
... And with one resounding detonation, a brief flash of crimson light pierced right through the canopy. The Megidramon was rend to data in an instant, the Solarimon left skyward in the center of the most powerful explosion any below would have ever witnessed. Had that gone off in the forest, it was doubtful that there would even be a single root spared from its searing heat.
As it was, the storm of wind below would only last for a few moments...
Ebonwumon uses 'Nature's Origin'. Megidramon detonates.

Head thrown back Solarimon looked to the sky. Their wings carrying them higher and higher as the statue and their allies shrunk below them becoming nothing, but specks as they strained against the thinning air. Their crimson gaze never wavering from the vast blue expanse above as weak starlight began to break through the endless azure, the thrill of flight almost equal to the agonizing pain of the Dragon's fangs as it ripped through their molten and shattered armor. The heat of the Megidramon's core searing them both as their data began to spark and waver critical mass shortly at hand. "Don't be afraid," They whispered their gaze drawn from the still too distant stars to the manic and fearful eyes of the Dragon locked around them in it's death throes. "Don't be afraid,"They whispered as both their data began to unravel spooling around them like the nebulous gas of a dying sun. "I'm afraid too." They admitted as the world went white.

The Rasielmon turned towards the ascending duo as the rest of her allies' efforts rang forth. She was fairly high up as the power of the Sovereign burst forth and regrew the desolate land into something new, something different, but Mae...Though her visions were eerily silent?
She felt like she knew what would happen next. She felt it was coming, but when it did? All Mae saw was a flash and the single strongest explosion she had ever witnessed. Not even the full power of her Sefer Raziel could match that, surely...Yet at the same time, the Rasielmon knew that she had likely just witnessed someone meet a fiery end. Someone that went out of their way to ensure she lived.
The blast of wind, short as it was, blew Mae back down past the canopy, as the Mega level became bathed in a white light...and shrank. More and more until there was but a creature the size of a hand and with a single eye. A Tsumemon. "...I-Is it raining?" It inquired, a broken and electrical-sounding, yet feminine voice sounding out.
She did have good reason to ask. Why was she crying?

Toki looked on in awe as the Sovereign came to life and used its incredible power to begin restoring the battle torn clearing as if nothing had happened at all. The corruption that spread had all but vanished in its wake, a feat that left Toki spellbound. The dying earth quickly gave way to luscious new greenery that purified and took away what he worried would be a grim reminder of what happened here. Nature thrived in this spot again as the soil became fertile, ready to start anew alongside the returning forest inhabitants. At long last he let himself relax, relieved that the battle appeared to be over. His form shined for a moment and dispersed, leaving his human self behind. He put a hand to his chest, wincing at the left over pain, but he would live.
However, the victory was clearly not without its sacrifices. As the ground shaking explosion rang out in the skies above, he looked up and felt a different sort of pain well up in his chest. Sadness. Loss. There was nothing left of either Megidramon...or those that made up Solarimon. Not that he could see, at any rate. Tears streamed down his face as if he had lost a dear friend, though he still did not know who Solarimon was. Still, he fell to his knees and sobbed openly as he ran a hand through his hair. A loss was still a loss. In events like this one could even say it was inevitable, but that didn't ease the pain.
He wiped his eyes and looked at the restored forest as he meditated on the grass that swayed in the breeze, the flowers that grew, blossomed, and died right in front of him. A cycle that had the right to continue because of everyone's actions today. He struggled to his feet as he saw the tiny Tsumemon cry as well. He approached them slowly, realizing that it was Mae. He slowly sat down next to her and gently pat her head. No words could ease what had happened, but he had hoped this affectionate gesture would bring her at least a little peace.
Toki remained close to Mae, but he stood up to face Ebonwumon before he bowed to them respectfully. He remained that way for a few seconds before he stood straight up again. "Thank you." he said softly before he turned to face the revitalized forest. The battle was hard fought, but now the innocent would be able to live on in peace for the time being. "...Rest well. What you have done here has spared so many a terrible loss..." he whispered this not just for Ebonwumon, but for Solarimon as he sat back down next to Mae. Still he cried, head hung low. He made no futile attempt at stoicism. This was not the place for that.
