"I somehow doubt I'd be capable of dissapointment in regards to this entire venture..."
K shared that chuckle and rather content if not a touch quiet as they walked. She'd put away those cloaks into the infini store as mikemon had suggested. During which she'd slowly reach down to brush some snow out of his fur.
"So many flavors..."
The renamon was rather surprised to see the sheer variety that the candy store held. She took her time, humming to herself and sporting a content smile as they went through it. Once he had picked out the candies and they would be collected by the mikemon who came out to meet with her as she stared up at the sky.
"Just a bit... lovely time for it though..."
She'd mumble softly and lean just a bit on the mikemon before easing her hands to rub at his ears. She'd sigh wistfully at the fact that yes they should get back to the resort but honestly what else would they do with how late it was getting? The renamon chuckled lightly and stared down at him.
"Might as well yes, careful dear your worry is showing~"

"Mm, I don't know about you, but I'm not quite used to the sun setting at 2 in the afternoon yet."
Mikemon gave a chuckle as he teased. It was true, though - this far north, with the mountains stretched around them, there wasn't much light in the day. In truth, they could have stayed in this market for quite a while longer, but that wasn't what the doctor was really worried about. Rather, it was something that he felt in his bones, a 'sense' that the weather was about to change. Heck, K might start to feel it in her legs or her ears, too. "Well, guess its not too much a bother for an arctic fox like you, but..."
He gave a sigh, and as soon as he stepped outside, he opened a short-range portal - one that would take them right back to the lobby of the resort. As it turned out, Mikemon's guess was right on the money.
As the pair stepped out out onto that fine carpet, they would see the electronic board above the concierge lit up, signalling that the trolley and several outdoor activities were postponed until further notice. Frustration about the storm were audible from a few of the other patrons, enough that he cat gave a sigh, flattening his ears against his head.
"C'mon, it's the north, this kinda stuff has to be expected." Freak storms like this were par the course, even if it was still a few minutes out! "Well, K, what do you want to do for now? It looks like we'll be holed up for a while."

"It's been a long time since I've had to deal with that..."
K admitted rather plainly, sporting a grin down at mikemon. Sure there wasn't much room for the place to have long days. They could of stayed longer but with that wind and how 'late' it seemed to get it would only be a matter of time before she started to feel it and mikemon would be likely a shivering mess of sorts! She could feel that weather threaten to hitch up, stepping after the mikemon with a grin still plain on her face.
"There's more than just me out here and all that..."
K looked around the hotel entry frowning quietly as she noted that there were several things that were postponed until further notice. She understood the desire for keeping it's residents or visitors safe from this sort of thing. She was more surprised that there was a storm so quickly, it hadn't been too bad the day before but... She'd shake her head slightly. It really had been a long time since she had been here hadn't it? Well at least lived here...
"Mmm... Well we could see what they have about for food, watch some movies... don't they have a spa in here or something?"
K wasn't terribly a fan of the last one as her thick fur took ages to dry off but the warmth from the spa itself would be welcome. She'd gingerly run her hand through her cloak mulling over what they could do for a bit longer still.
"That or maybe we could watch the storm itself? I know it seems silly..."

A spa? Curious choice, really - both Mikemon and K had rather thick fur, and it was enough to put Mikemon off on the idea - at least while the spa would be crowded with others thinking of the same idea!
"We can watch the storm from our room, if we're able to see anything at all." The doctor gave a shrug, at least agreeing with some of K's ideas. "We'll nestle in, get some room service... and actually get around to watching 'The First Tamer' this time." Honestly, he always meant to catch up on that, at some point! Assuming this would work, it wouldn't take long for the two to get back into the room, a sheer veil of white covering the window.
"... Definitely not a gentle snowfall, there..." But, then again, this was nice. With the movie set up and a good hour in, and meal service already having come and gone ("They know how to roast a good duck!"),the doctor found himself comfortably nestling against the Renamon, simply letting the time pass as the storm blew on.
Mikemon wouldn't notice it, but just outside the window, past a veil of snow, towards the summit of one of the peaks, there was an intermittent light, a ghastly 'flick' that, if looked at from the right angle, would reveal a ghastly blue light. If K noticed at all (and she might not, this movie was good!), she might even feel like something was calling for her...

K rubbed at her neck giving him a small somewhat cheerful grin. She knew that he probably wouldn't want to do the spa either and she couldn't blame him but it was something she figured she needed to mention none the less! After all he could of wanted to do so, after all the spa would of felt really good on their muscles.
"That's true. We probably won't be able to see much. Some room service and a movie sounds good though!"
The renamon's grin widened a bit and she couldn't help but shiver at seeing that sheer veil of white. Sure she may of come from up this way but she most certainly could appreciate the fact they weren't in that. In fact she was pretty happy knowing that she didn't need to go out there for the moment.
"The sort to push you right down against the snow on the ground..."
K rather enjoyed the meal that she had been able to partake in with her husband, she wasn't a huge fan of duck herself it was a touch gamey for her but she had to give them props for making her enjoy such a thing regardless! She was calmly watching the movie, flicking her ears a bit and turning her head slightly as that intermittent light eventually caught her gaze. Sure the movie was good but... it sort of reached out to her.
Something that felt like it was calling to her, and slowly after a few long minutes of staring it. The movie not holding her attention for so long she would slide off of the bed and tilt her head. Staring firmly at this light that called for her. She didn't know what to say about it really... was this a spirit or someone that was on the mountaintop desperate for help?
"What is that...?"

Cuddling, a good movie, maybe a hot chocolate in a little bit... Mikemon could get used to this. Snuggling right up against K, the cat watched on as their brave hero stood at the edge of a cavern, overlooking a dark pool that seemed to sink into the depths of the earth. Here was where it all began, and... and...
"Hm?" Feeling K slip off the bed, Mikmon gave a blink, quickly putting the television on pause. He was about to ask if something was wrong, but the way that the fox went right up to the window was curious in itself. The cat blinked as his wife said something, her attention drawn to something out in the storm. "What do you mean?"
He stepped up, walking up to that window, squinting his eyes through the glass. Indeed, there was some sort of light out there, but wasn't that just it? "Maybe a handful of Bakemon or something? We'll give it a minute to see if we see a signal or distress flare, but other than that I don't think we need to worry about it..."

K hesitated as she could still feel the calling of that light, she'd bite on her lower lip mulling over how to explain this. How would you really explain it? She'd stare quietly at that light flickering in the distance, trying to feel it out, trying to understand what she was looking at or what she was feeling here.
"The light there..."
Then he began to suggest things it could be, a handful of bakemon. Some kind of distress flare or a signal of sorts? She'd furrow her brow slowly and shake her head; she didn't feel either of those were the case. She had the odd desire to go check it out and she could already feel her cloak moving from the other side of the room on it's own accord.
"I don't think that's a signal or distress flare Mikemon... I don't. I don't think I'd feel it calling to me like this if it was."
A firm hand against the window and the renamon blinked slowly; she had spoken about spirits not too long ago. Perhaps that was what she was seeing here? Or was it someone using this opportunity to trick her for some reason or another? She somehow doubted the latter most but that idea popped into her head. She felt the cloak nestle around her shoulders and she'd sigh.
"I want to go check it out."

"Calling out to you?"
Mikemon gave a blink. He could tell that the fox was serious, but the whole idea just seemed a bit surreal to him. Was this related to her dance, or did something in the mountain realize the knightly Digimon was here? Honestly, Mikemon didn't like this. But K's words were certain enough, and the cat would surrender a sigh.
"Well, if you're going out, I'm going with you. You... realize its crazy to go out in a storm this bad, right?" Taking another look out the window, the cat felt himself shiver slightly, the feline shaking his head.
"We'll have to fly there, of course - no way we can navigate normally in that weather. You up to use Shutmon?"

"It's strange really..."
K was never really one for the spirits, she understood them and when she was younger yes she had tended to them in various ways but... After so long was she really the same? Did she really mean anything to them? Or was it something else looking for her? She'd lightly bite her lip and flick an ear at the mention that he was going to go with her. Even going so far to state that it was crazy going out in a storm like this.
"I realize it is, but they wouldn't try to get my attention unless there was something they needed."
The renamon sighed sweetly and passed a glance at the TV, noting where they were paused at before slowly padding over to turn the tv itself off. She'd blink a few times however when he addressed that they needed to fly there. She'd dip her head in a nod and then rub at her neck as her cloak bristled around her.
"Flying sounds like the safest way I suppose. And yes, shutmon would be the best option. Anything higher and we might draw more un-needed attention!"
The renamon let out a smooth chuckle and promptly drew out her infini-storage. Digging around in it she'd pull out that new cloak for mikemon offering it to him with a soft smile. It would be the best way to test the cloak wasn't it? In something like this? Then again K herself would be doing her best to keep the Mikemon covered with her own cloak while they flew through the air!
Wether or not he took it the renamon would cast another glance out of the window to look at the light before she'd calmly move towards the door. She was ready to get moving and before too long she'd be out in the lobby, doing some stretches to 'limber' up as she had been relaxing quite a bit today!
"I swear the next thing that we're going to find out is that it's a long lost cousin or something..."
There was another chuckle and she'd step outside of the hotel, not bothering to address all the staring that she was reviving. Once outside she'd digivolve into the shutmon form. Giving it too a firm stretch and offering the smaller digimon a spot in it if he so desired. She would of course carry him while they flew not wanting to having him hang on for dear life and all that!
Not too long after that she'd use her own natural ability to kick off the ground and using the cloak to hover she'd look around casting for the light before moving towards it using both her ability and the cloak to keep them level...

Well, there was nothing to be done about it, at this point. K was set on heading out into the storm, and dangerous as it was, Mikemon wasn't going to let her travel out there alone. Shutmon was the obvious choice, and it didn't take long for the two of them to make their way out to the front - though as K pulled out his new cloak, Mikemon shook his head.
"No reason to get that one all tattered up. I'll just use the old one for this." Wrapping that older cloak around himself, the two would make their way out to the front, past the concerned eyes of several of the hotel staff.
Right. This was very stupid. Plucked up by the Shutmon, the cat gave a small chuckle at her love's comment - and soon enough, the two would make their way out into that frigid wilderness. Of course, as soon as the two flew out, they might have regretted it: visibility was poor, the snow was practically in their faces, and they were going off of a few lights that seemed to be out at the top of the mountain...
... Though once they would finally get there, after a good twenty minutes of flying? They would find the air calm, as if there was one pocket the storm didn't touch. A quick glance around revealed the storm skimming right over this place like an invisible bubble.
And there, right in the center, was the spirit - a floating, azure light, flicking lazily away in the wind. But why was it here? Hell, what even was it?

K had to agree with the idea of using the older cloak rather than this new one. His reasoning was sound and she wouldn't push the issue any further. Simply shrugging and putting it back into the infini storage itself. K herself wasn't bothered by the stares or the concerned looks; this was something that she couldn't simply put to one side.
"Fair enough, just let me know if you want to switch out or not..."
While out in the storm K was thankful for her cloak and her thick fur. She had to admit if she was a regular sort of her kind she would of thought differently in doing this. She'd tut softly and still cast about as the snow was blowing in their faces. However once they had flown through the storm for about twenty or so minutes she was rather astonished at the pocket of air that was untouched by the storm.
A spirit of azure light, sitting there in a rather lazy manner. She'd slowly bound down to the pocket, entering in and gently landing a good three or four meters away from the spirit before simply giving a small bow to it. She'd quietly address it as that was really the only way you could do so, raising your voice against the spirits was always a bad thing.
"Is something amiss? I could hear you calling me."
The shutmon would shift and if mikemon wanted he could of easily hopped down from her arm. She'd grit her teeth lightly, seeming a little unsure of herself in this venture. When it came to the spirits she wasn't super well versed but... well. She'd have to get better somehow and if it went out of it's way to get her?

Mystical or not, Mikemon was glad to finally get out of the wind and the cold. Soon hopping out of the Shutmon's grip, the cat brushed out his eyes with the back of his gloves, dusting off the back of that tattered and soaked cloak to get the worst of the wintry mix out of it.
That wasn't the focus, of course. Rather, Mikemon was silent as K stepped forward, bowing to the spirit before her, the spirit that called her. As soon as she finished speaking, the spirit gave a flicker, and spirited itself closer, circling right around the Shutmon. Though K was formal, the spirit itself seemed to be vibrant and playful, circling just once around before floating off around a snow-crested corner in the clearing. It wanted her to follow?
Yes, it did. Out here in the storm, after so many years away, K might not even recognize exactly what this place was, especially coming from the angle of the resort. But when she turned that corner, the memory would come rushing back of just where she was:
Her first home - and the spirit slipping right into the 'front door' of that abode.

K stared quietly at the spirit in front of her, unsure of what it may want or what it could possibly be doing here. She'd glance down at her husband as he hopped out of her grip; that same uncertainty easily noticeable on her features. She didn't seem too bothered by the snow that had worked it's way against her fur or against her cloak. She'd lightly shake off a part of her cloak at one point but that was more out of habit to distribute weight.
The shutmon wasn't surprised however when the spirit didn't really answer her, it simply came close to her. Circling around her in a playful vibrant manner before floating off. The shutmon glanced down at her husband again, making a light shrug before padding after it. Making sure to pause here or there to keep in check with her husband as he wasn't exactly built to wade through the snow.
She didn't recognize this place immediately, she'd blink slowly as they walked for not too long. But once around that corner? Those memories would slam home and the shutmon would freeze for a moment; she remembered that fencing, she remembered that simple humble abode. The shutmon expression changed from one of uncertainty to confusion for a long few moments. But upon seeing the spirit slipping right into the front door?
The shutmon slowly made her way to that door, even going so far as to push it open so the pair could get in. She didn't know what the spirit wanted of her still, or what they would do out here if the storm worsened. She'd bite her lower lip as she was gifted with the sight of the ancient hovel's insides.
"...This used to be my home when I lived up in the north..."
Her memories came slowly to her, sliding through her core like a forgotten passion. She remembered far more than just her memories, but she remembered her mother's too. The sad nature of those memories forced a few tears out of the shutmon's eyes. She'd quietly bring up a finger to brush away the tears; they were happy tears, sad tears and simply... well. She wasn't sobbing but this place meant a lot to her!

"... This was your place?"
Mikemon blinked at K's declaration, simply looking on at this simple dwelling. Over such a long time, the fencing had rotted through, and the door that K walked through simply didn't exist. The ground itself was torched, what was once a log cabin seemingly hollowed out with flame before left to withstand hundreds of years of abuse from the wilderness. In a sense, it was like visiting a grave. As K would approach the place, Mikemon would give a nod, and sit just outside to keep watch.
Though as K made her way in to follow that spirit, the light of the spirit would expand to encompass the entire abode. Rather than a damaged, decrepit property, K would see it: her home as it once was, with even a fire brewing under the stove. Despite her tears or hopes, this was probably far past something that she could explain - but it wouldn't just be that. Right at the far side of the cabin, the fox would hear a familiar sound, that of leeks being cut on a cutting board. And should she approach, she'd once more find that blue light. In the shape of a Renamon, who looked right over her shoulder.
"Mm? Oh, there you are, dearie." She gave a chuckle! "Hopefully you remembered to wipe your feet off before coming in?"
That, of course, didn't really matter: through the illusion, K could still feel the mud underneath her feet. The spirit gave a wistful sigh, before turning to see her daughter. "Mm, a wolf? If only your dad could see you now, sweetie."

"When I was... very young this is where I lived. As a viximon."
K murmermed softly, she was wringing her hands. Staring around, she didn't seem to even realize just how decript this place was. Just how bad it had been, her memories of this place were so pure. So gentle. It would of made her weep, it would of made her sob. Break down, but instead she simply stepped forward. Seeming rather hushed. She was confused however when the light of the spirit expanded.
The damaged property gave way to how it once was, a vibrant home full of life. Ready to carry on with those that lived within. It was just how she remembered and it hurt her, she felt her core ache and the shutmon froze as she heard that familiar sound. She'd of course approach, finding her face simply turning into one of disbelief.
The blue light that had been the spirit turned out to be a renamon of some sort. Cutting leeks on a board. They even turned their head to address her. That gentle voice one that she remembered and a gentle voice that she hoped that she could match. She'd grip at her chest with a hand, feeling that aching deepen a bit.
"...Wipe?... I.. Mother..?"
K stammered, stuttered and looked down to her feet. Noting the mud, she could indeed feel it and she'd lay her ears flat before bringing a hand up to her head. Trying to process what she was dealing with here. Then she spoke again and the shutmon sighed wistfully.
"A... Shutmon mother. He got to see me before he went I think. But I didn't realize it was him. I... how are you here?"
The shutmon approached, looking rather confused. Holding her hands meekly in front of her. Uncertainty quite clear on her features and she could even feel her cloak mimic her movements somewhat and she'd reach forward, wanting to touch the image of her mother but uncertain if she even could.
"I... I always... I..."
The shutmon rubbed at her muzzle and let out a small earnest sigh. She was so confused but she could feel the aching in her core. She knew this was her mother, a million things she wanted to say. A million things she wanted to do but all she could do was simply stand here being baffled...
