The lilamon sighed and simply nodded at Syres first question, her following explanation or 'additive' making it really easy for the lilamon not to have to repeat herself. The single predator in this area had drastically changed the food chain and as a result had a huge negative impact in the middle of the most important part of it! Maybe once it had gorged itself it might ease up but it was hard to really gauge that...
"Excellent... that won't really affect my crop too much. Seeds will do better for you in transport right dearie?"
The lilamon frowned a little bit and she'd sigh. Scratching at her neck she'd consider something, frown and gesture outside. There was a huge problem for this forest, or at least this segment of it!
"It's not a burden to me Honey. I'm here to expand the rare growths of the forest into a more reasonable crop overall. Long term job and all that. But predators affect the ecosystem... and something as aggressive as that shade?"
There was a soft sigh and she'd lower her glasses, looking at the blackgatomon for a moment before dredging up a card from her labcoat. She'd slowly offer it to syre, a sizable amount showing up on the card as she did so.
"Get rid of the Shade, run him off, make him leave somehow. I don't care how you do so. But him being here will make my work harder. Do that and this card is yours. I'm getting another one like it in a weeks time so it's not like I'd be losing out on much."

"The seeds will work better. I got the job from a botanist, so they'll be able to identify them fairly easily." Syre gave a nod, indicating that there was no problem - and if offered, she'd carefully stow away the seeds in her bag. That transaction was relatively painless.
The second request, however, almost made her fur stand on end. The Lilamon wanted him to make Shade leave? Briefly, the cat considered her options. Gunning him down with Sistermon Noir was probably doable, but then again, Shade definitely had a better handle on the area. One wrong move...
... Ugh. No, she didn't have to fight, she just had to 'run him off' somehow. She briefly thought of how she could handle that, an idea 'clicking' in her head. "So he just needs to move out of these woods? N-no guarantees, but I'll try something." The cat returned a nod: "If not, you might need to apply something to the guild directly. And... well, they won't let you use grant money to pay for it."
So long as the circumstance was understood, she'd give a bow, and make her way back out the front door, and back out into the shaded woods.

"Oh? Well give my regards to them, if they need anything further they can just drop me a line. My information is with the guild after all. Though I'll have to be careful about how much I'm giving away!"
The lilamon let out a soft laugh and then sighed. She eyed the blackgatomon as she noted that reaction to her request. There was violent options, peaceful options, careful options. She really hoped they didn't consider a fight around this place. She would be forced to intervene on terms of the safety of her plants.
"I'd prefer it if he moved completely out of the region, in a place lacking predators. Cipher jungle is large enough to where another one won't hurt too badly, but a few prods into the ecosystem from the guild wouldn't hurt either. They might know a good location for someone like them. But ultimately... yes out of the woods. Of course not darling! I'll just have the angels that hired me for this put out a secondary mission for this. They're sweethearts like that. Oh. Right!"
The lilamon returned the bow and slowly closed the door behind the blackgatomon. There was the sounds of several locks and a large 'bar' of sorts being placed across the door. Several of the panels of the greenhouse went from see through to not and there was the sound of a relieved sigh from the inside.
Outside?
Well this entire time shade had been nervously shifting back and forth through the shadows. Keeping tune with things, he even went so far to gnaw on that large bauble that the black-gatomon had told him was a fake.
She was right, the inside of the damn thing was hollow and there was some sort of small device responsible for the glowing effect. He had smashed that at some point and the small flickering was annoying him. Growling in irritation he'd stomp the light out just as syre entered the shaded woods. Several of his eyes rotated, flicked and the center most eye widened a bit as he saw the feline... unharmed.
"...Trade... with... tender went... good?"

"I'll let them know, don't worry!"
Syre gave a smile to that - and nodded to her second point. It was still very much a case of 'I'll see what I can do', and the cat was clearly considering her options. As she stepped outside, though, she blinked at the number of locks the Lilamon put into place.
If there was a fight I didn't want to be a part of, I'd do the same.
She sighed, and walked out into the woods, out of sight of the greenhouse. Like clockwork, the Shademon appeared once more, as if carefully examining her frame. Had the 'trade' gone well? "I got what I needed, yes. Now, you said you wanted to see Whitewater?"
The cat looked for recognition, before proceeding: "I can create a portal, a 'path', to a forest near Whitewater. Its a bit much to ask, but I can move you there, so you can get to the city much easier than from here."
Would he allow that? That was the real question!

The lilamon managed a smile and awkward wave before watching the Blackgatomon go. She wasn't taking any chances and her greenhouse was re-enforced by the robotic digimon that had been here before...
Shade on the other hand stared at the blackgatomon, nervously fidgeting as he could just feel the lilamon a good distance away. She was moving normally now that she was 'safe' and wasn't pulsing erratically like before. There was a frown and he'd lean a bit.
"For... trade..."
He'd say haltingly blinking at her and started to sniff at syre. He couldn't smell anymore of the bulbs but there were several smaller tones of bulb likeness in her bag. He'd furrow his brow in confusion but then simply and slowly nodded. She started to explain the portal, a portal? It was like a 'path'? His head started to ache and he'd scratch along his neck, several new eyes opening up here or there while 'older' ones closed.
"...A... forest...? W.... White... water.... por... portal?"
The lathered amount of confusion in his voice was evident, and he'd scratch harder and harder at his head. Several of his eyes spinning a bit in a dizzy fashion. The middle most eye on his chest stared at Syre and he'd clack his teeth in frustration.
"...Have... things in cave... Forager..."
He sounded exasperated now and his fidgeting kicked up a bit. He hadn't thought of moving so soon, it would probably upset a lot of the things he had managed thus far and he'd start to clack his teeth again and again.
"...Forager... help... with... Sh... Shade's things?"
Trade to him was something he could rely on, and if he could get things more well... He would blow out some steam from his nostrils and stare at syre questioningly. His name had slipped from his lips unintentionally but... it was his name after all.

It seemed the Wraithmon understood - or, at least Syre hoped he understood. Once more, she was inspected, the cat giving a slight step back as that brow was furrowed. And, of course, her blunt description didn't aptly explain everything - so she simply nodded.
"It will be a way to get to Whitewater, yes." Her tone was careful - and it seemed that the Wraithmon wasn't quite ready to leave. Right, he needed his belongings, his 'things', to go with him. To that, she'd follow along with a nod: "I guess I can..."
She didn't think much of it at the start, or at all, until they reached that den. Right, it was a cave. A dark cave, that a Wraithmon was saying for her to go into. She visibly shook, fur standing at the very idea...
... Before she sighed, and pressed on inside.

"I... see..."
The wraithmon nodded slowly and stepped spritely, the blackgatomon following him to his cave. It was pretty obvious it was his with how dark it was being. There was a few large objects that could be seen somewhat but past that there was very little. Shade himself stepped in after the blackgatomon. Surprised that she would enter first.
However he wasn't attacking her, he sniffed her curiously here or there still trying to understand her and what she did. There was a lot he didn't understand, and there was that sound of fumbling. The sound of a match being struck and in the center of the cave a fire started.
On the walls there were carvings of all sorts, ranging from simple to the intricately complex. Shade himself hadn't added to them and this cave itself wasn't just a cave. It was a cave system but the shademon seemed to only live near the entrance proper of this cave. Or close enough to the entrance that he could slink in or out as needed.
His possessions were simple, a half open bag with the peeking of wooden toys. A snowglobe that sat somewhat close to the fire, it gently sparkling in that light. A container or two sat on the other-side of the fire itself, the smell of meat wafting off of them. Shade kneeled down to pick up a small golden and copper picture frame. He'd stare at it for a few moments before sliding it into his body.
There were a few blankets that sat in a sort of nest that it looked like shade slept on. It had a few straws peeking out and the wraith digimon stared at it next uncertain how to proceed exactly. But the sheer amount of gentleness he pushed outwards as he slowly started to tug at the blankets was obvious.
This was his home and he was leaving it...
"First... place.... Shade found after... after dark went red..."

At the very least, 'Shade' remained 'Shade'. He was either too cautious or too grateful to attack her, and right now, the cat wasn't really worried about which it was. But there was one clear thing:
Shade helped her. So she might as well help Shade back. Seeing the dim light of that match, Syre gave a blink. The cat raised a hand, a small fire conjured up, allowing them both to easily see this simple abode. And... it was dreadfully simple. A few bags, a small bit of maybe-rotting-meat, some sort of picture, and a blanket he didn't seem keen on. Syre would carefully let that flame float, and help Shade fold them - her ear flicking as he suddenly spoke.
Shade, well, he sounded sad - a Dark Area Digimon forced out here, against his wishes, because of the D-Reaper. That tugged a bit at her heartstrings. She sighed, reaching into her glove, opening a blue, glowing portal inside of the cave.
"Home is... well. Wherever you make it. Whether its in the Dark, here, or near Whitewater." Syre gave a smile, for the first time, trying to comfort this beast. "Go along, I'll be right behind you."

Shade slowly quietly continued packing his things, folding those blankets. Sliding them into his being with a small somewhat frustrated sigh. The bag itself slowly slid into his body and the wraithmon slowly dragged his claws along the containers making a somewhat grating sound. His tail edged around the snowglobe, slipping it into his darkness with a sweet sigh sounding out from him.
"...Salt... didn't work.... tch..."
A lot of meals had been wasted, he had listened. Sat there. Done what that merchant said. The first few times it had worked! Now... well not so much. He'd close his eyes and sigh softly. The containers would be difficult to wash and would likely just sour further meats. However...
She... This forager, guard.. or whatever she was spoke to him about home. How it was wherever you made it. Dark area, here, or near whitewater. That portal made him jump a bit and he'd stare at it for a few long moments. He'd stalk forward, poking at the edge of it with a soft muted sound.
"...Like... no path... Shade has seen..."
Then there was that smile that she gave to him, it was such a foreign concept that shade himself didn't understand it. He'd stare at her for a long period of time, looking confused for most of it before heading into the portal. He'd stare back out at syre looking...
Well looking beyond sad, him standing on a side of a place he didn't know and basically a stranger standing in his home. His middle eye was mostly closed, looking off in some direction that syre couldn't see.
"...Forager....'s... name...?"

Alright, Syre! As soon as he steps through, close that portal, then go and collect your reward! Its... its all you have to...
... Oh, damn it. Syre had made a plan from the very start, to simply leave the Wraithmon in a new area. At the start, she just thought of him as an odd beast, but after seeing his home, and hearing a more personal tone with his words? Well, damn it, she felt a pain in her heart for him, feeling pity for the poor guy. She gave a sigh, and fought against her own instincts as she followed right behind him, the portal soon closing as they both passed through, to Cipher Jungle. It was far more humid, and more isolated than the 'intended' forested use of the Timberlands.
"Whitewater City is further south of here - so when the sun rises, you want to go right from where you see it." She'd point in the town's direction, just to be extra clear of where it was. And... well, her name?
"It's... it's Syre. And I'm glad to meet you, Shade."

Shade blinked a little bit, staring at her. He felt something odd in his chest, this wierd grinding sensation. He could see the consideration of the other; the portal... It.. if she closed it with her on that side he... he wouldn't know what to do. Where to go. He reached forward almost timidly as though begging her not to for a moment. But she stepped forward and the wraithmon let escape a little sigh of relief.
Now shade started to look around, surprised at the isolation this place gave him. He could feel the humidity, the forest was so vastly different than this place. Then she even continued to explain to him about it. He'd turn his head to look south, his natural instincts telling him the direction.
"...White... water... south... Sun... right..."
It took him a few minutes to sort of sync up with the area properly. He'd slowly take a step in the right direction and turn to look at Syre with a questioning head-tilt.
"...Syre... not going...?"
He'd ask tentaviely. Hesitantly. There was a pause and he'd consider something. Furrowing his brow slowly while his open eyes stared in the right direction. He would be fine here, he would be able to do a lot and syre actually had done him a huge favor removing him from that place. There was a moment and he'd clack his teeth a few times as though in thought. He started digging in his chest for something...

Was Syre not going?
Oh, dear. As welcoming as she was being, Syre gave a smile, the cat shaking her head. "Right now, you have something a little more important to do. Don't you need to find another place to settle down?" After all, Shade was still carrying a lot on him. The cat would turn her head towards the woods, with an uncertain frown.
"You'll know this place a bit better than I would, but... there should be a few caves or dark places you should be able to use around here." She'd give a nod, once more looking to the Wraithmon. "If you want, I can come back in a day or two and help you out with the city - or at the very least, come and say 'hi'!"
Was that too deep of a concept for the Shademon? Syre didn't know.
But she couldn't just leave this one out by himself!

Shade shifted and blinked a little bit. He did need to find another place to settle down and the eyes of the wraithmon slowly rotated, looking around and around for a few moments before settling on syre herself. He'd stare at her curiously and then simply dip his head in a low nod.
"Y...yes... New... home..."
He'd rumble out quietly and leaning a bit still digging in his chest. Frowning softly he'd slowly take out one of those gems from earlier. The ones that she had pointed out were marbles were now gone. All that was left was what she had pointed out.
And a single pearl.
A single. Black pearl.
He'd stare down at this item, it wasn't a fake that much he knew. He had found it on the beaches of the dark area and had kept it for a long time. He'd close his large eye and let out a sigh. He'd slowly pick that pearl up and lean forward offering it to Syre.
"Will... Be here in... two days... Will... Show you new home?"
He spoke slowly somewhat hopefully, trying to keep up with the faster talking blackgatomon. At the most his gift to her would be something of a peace offering between him and her. She had helped him more than he could probably understand and it would only be fair if he gave her something in exchange. He didn't think she was hungry so...
Wether she took the pearl or not didn't change what happened next. He'd slowly but certainly make his way deeper into the jungle. He'd cast one last look back at the blackgatomon before vanishing from sight entirely...

Unlike Shade, who was simply traded things that the Wraithmon thought were interesting, Syre had a bit of an eye for things that were valuable - and the pearl that was offered to her? That rare, black pearl?
The BlackGatomon blinked at the offer, and with a nod, would slowly take it into her hand - stowing it carefully in her glove. This wasn't something that she could carry around, and she didn't want to sell a gift, but what else could she do with it? Maybe she'd ask mom or dad... ugh, but could she really tell them about that? Her attention was broken as Shade spoke.
Two days. "Sure. I'll be here around the same time." She gave her promise, and with a wave, would slowly step away, before calmly turning and following the trail back to Whitewater. She had to turn in those seeds, go home, say how the trip went to Stingmon.
For her, the next two days would be 'normal'...

Shade was grateful to see that his gift was accepted, and... well he'd try to give the blackgatomon a similar expression she gave him. That comforting smile that... was on a beast just seemed so weird. But that didn't seem very big to him... Her answer made his ears flick in an excited nature before she would of course lose track of him.
To most, two days wouldn't seem like much. But for shade?
Well his life was a constant battle for dominance with the areas he was in and this one was no exception. Things weren't just different here, people were stronger and faster. Clever... And it drove him to newer heights he couldn't rightly dream of.
His first day was finding that cave.
That cave that he could settle into, get his nest back up. Something that he could ease into. Something he could curl up and just relax...
It wasn't hard for him to enjoy the small bit of time in his nest. He however ended up finding that his stomach was grumbling and he had to hunt. So his second day would be spent...
Well. Hunting. Hunting and fighting and gnashing. It was a violent second day that bode ill for him. He'd have to treat himself with some of the local fauna hissing in pain as they did their work. He knew barely what some of the plants did. One did no pain, one eased it, one killed... and there were others he didn't know that he'd have to learn about.
Then that third day came around. The day that he agreed to meet Syre and show her his new home. The new home of a cave that he had managed to secure for himself away from everything. So he moved to that spot that she dropped him off.
He'd Cast about like a lonely predator before slouching against a tree wheezing at the large cut that was plain on his 'body'. It still wasn't healing properly but he could at least say that he took care of it just right...
"...Stupid... birds..."
He'd grumble and rub at it, feeling the edge of darkness against it slowly sliding along his frame. He needed something for this but what could he do?
