“I’m fine, I swear I’ve rested enough!” Like most people, Talia had a pretty liberal amount of things she was good and not good at - could she burn a virus off your PC? Yup. Make a decent tonkatsu pork cutlet? Totally. When it came to resting however she could be a bit impatient - basically if the left part of her brain wasn’t being occupied in some way shape or form she was bound to get restless and fidgety. “And how labor intensive can sitting be?” She’d fallen asleep in the settlement with both twins, only to wake up when she sensed that one of them was missing and sure enough found her precious little hare just outside seemingly training against a set of dummies. “Harumph, I’d rather you be sleeping, but I’ll take it I guess.”
The truth was, Tohru hadn’t been sleeping very well at all since that day, and it seemed every night, all she could do was stare at the ceiling with no way to burn the image of her human’s abdomen being slashed like steak at the butcher counter out of her mind it seemed. And if such a horror wouldn’t cease to exist from within the rabbit’s mementos, at least she could do something to prevent it from happening again. “So this is what you’ve been doing every night?” She’d suspected something was up with the way her partner had been groggy during the day as of late, but Tohru was the type who didn’t really like to be nagged on and Talia learned early on that in these times it was best to let her do what she had to do. “Actually the real question is, are you wearing yourself out training every night because you’ve got a kind of weird new motivation or because something is on your mind?”Tohru ignored her, continue to fire pelts of ice at the various dummies, jumping around on the various surfaces in the training area as she bombarded several of them at the same time making grunts of a weird satisfying enthusiasm along the way the way a woman playing sports did when she was really into the game - pfft, and she thought Talia was the one who need to calm down. “Don’t worry about it.” Welp, that was the directly the rabbits indirect way of saying ‘yes but I don’t really want to talk about it so I’d prefer you not press the matter’ and the white haired lady merely shrugged it off for now. “She’ll come around when she feels like it, it’s just how she is”. The human patted the spot next to her, motioning over her partner. “Well, I can’t really tell you to pour your heart out because its not in your personality to do, but as your tamer I can tell you when it’s time for a break.” Sighing with exasperation, Tohru flopped next to the human, pulling down her red hood before the human handed her water, petting her head as she did so. “T-thanks…” The tone was oddly apologetic, as if the little dragon bunny felt bad for being grouchy earlier. “No problem, you’re getting pretty good it seems, just think of how far you’ve come from being that scrappy little Moonmon I found by the vending machine!” Talk about people being good and not good at things - Tohru wasn’t very good at taking compliments. “Ehehe, I have a ways to go!” Well, Talia wasn’t much of a kung fu fighter but she’d seen enough movies to know how to give the rabbit a perfect example. “You just gotta go like this, and this!” Standing up, the girl did a set of overdramatic stage kicks and punches, partially for motivation, and partially for entertainment, and it definitely seemed to do the trick until the two of them were approached by a pair of menacing looking Goburimon. “Well, here’s your chance!” Holding up her digivice, the small bunny was quickly transformed into a slightly taller rabbit dressed in chinese attire armed with knuckle blades, of which she charged right at the trolls with. Things were peaceful...for the moment. Toki had a lot of things on his mind as of late due to the incident in the forest not too long ago, and there were still so many aspects of it that he was sorting out. He felt like there was so much he still had to learn. But it was over for the time being. It was time to enjoy the aftermath of it all and wander once more. He saw some incredible things out there. It made him wonder if he had any further forms...and what would it be like? As soon as he had these thoughts, however, he saw a human and a Lopmon being approached by a pair of Goburimon. No rest, so it seemed. Still, he kept that sincere smile on his face as he approached nonchalantly.
"Hey there!" he said while raising his hand. "What am I missing...? Is fighting really what we have to do right now? It's a nice day out, why not lay back on the grass and think of what else we can do?" he said. To some Digimon, the human's pacifistic nature would be considered an absolute joke, but Toki was absolutely serious about it. He didn't seem to have a Digimon partner with him, but he still seemed really calm and confident about this.
He looked at those present right now "Ah, right...my name's Toki Akiyama. Nice to meet you all!" he said. He looked at Talia and Tohru "So...if they decide to fight us, do you want it to be fair?" he asked. Whoever this was, they've been in the Digital World long enough to understand that some people do want a good fight, but others simply want peace and to be left alone.
Toki reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a device. "I'll pick a form accordingly, okay?" he said to the Talia and Tohru. All the while the Goburimon were likely confused and/or angry with this other human getting involved in a conflict he had no business in. There was a strange aura about Toki. Like another presence lingered with him.

“I can’t help but agree, besides me and the rabbit over there were having such a good conversation.” It was actually quite rare that Talia got one on one time with the twins so she was a bit pissed off that the sweet moment had been interrupted by the goblins. “Depends, pacifism and Turuiemon don’t seem to go hand in hand at times.” She was so different from the mature little peacekeeper personality (slash manager slash mom) that Tohru held while in rookie form, so violent and full of fire, as if she could knock down 50 enemy digimon and still not be satisfied. “And who the hell do you think I am?!” The masked rabbit said as she posed with her weapons fisted towards the virus digimon. “Your stupid clubs are no match for my fists of thunder!” And to instigate them even more she pounded her metal covered paws together cause a flash of electricity, making Talia facepalm slightly. “Well, I think my partner’s already made that decision for us. I’m Talia by the way, and Bugs Bunny meets Bruce Lee over there is my partner Tohru.” The purple ear creature glared. “No times for nicknames right now Talia.” “You got it, Angry Chungus.” Luckily she had no idea what that was. “I’d hope so, but in my own experience Goburimon don’t like to fight fair.” That wasn’t to assume every virus type or even every goblin digimon was bad of course. Indeed, the tall human who had joined them was giving off an interesting vibe much like the one Amy had. “OOOH, you’re a magical girl too aren’t you? UH I mean guy - or uh whatever you go by, I don’t want to assume.” Frankly she was a tad bit jealous of people with spirits for the reason that they got to live out her cosplay fantasy. “Sounds good to me, ready Tohru?” The bunny had yet to attack, waiting for orders but becoming more restless and impatient by the second as the group of goburimon became equally irritated, shouting and hollering all together which prevented anyone from being able to understand what they wanted, but it seemed they had planned to rob the village or so and the two humans and rabbit were in their way. “As if I’d let you ugly cowards get past me, come at me, I DARE ya!”

Toki laughed quite a bit at the antics around him. "I think you're the first to compare me to a magical girl, though to be honest that comparison is kind of inevitable, isn't it? Ah well, doesn't bother me at all." he shrugged. Tohru was full of energy and ready to throw down, so it looked like conflict was a given in this situation. "Well, looks like your friend made up her mind. I'll join the fray, but I don't want to steal her thunder."He stepped forward and gathered data in his free hand. With a quick swipe of his hands, he called out "Spirit Evolution!" With a rapid gathering of data around his body, the spirit user soon reformed as a tall rabbit-like humanoid with long limbs "Antylamon!" interestingly enough, the power this particular Antylamon gave off was akin to a Champion level and not the normal Ultimate level. He looked over at the Goburimon and gave them a polite bow "Let this be an honorable bout." As soon as he stood straight again, he shot them an intimidating glare through those mono-colored eyes "Do know this however...no innocents will be harmed by you this day. I would recommend rethinking your ways and putting your talents to better use as guards or bounty hunters. The life of petty theft is no place for anyone."He looked down at Tohru. Something resonated with his spirit about this Digimon, but he couldn't quite place it. For now, however, that was not his goal. He looked back at the Goburimon and with a quick lunge forward, he swung his arms down on one of them, the fists turning into large hammer-like objects instead of the usual axes "Mochi Mallets!" he called out. A silly name for an attack to be sure, but they were certainly effective at pummeling an enemy if it made contact. Talia and Tohru & Simba

“Don’t even worry about that! We’re not really the competitive type, we’re more of the...touch and go kinda trio - I have another partner too, a hackmon named Simba but he’s kind of sleeping in at the moment.” Eventually the dragon would likely join them, but he’d looked so peaceful resting that the girl didn’t have the heart to wake him up, especially since out of all of them he’d taken the recent situation harder than any of them, even Talia who’d been the main receptor, and as a result the cloaked quadruped dragon had slept horribly, tossing and turning, plagued by dreams about dark outcomes, and since he’d looked so calm, it was only fitting to let him be. “Another antylamon!” She was rather excited to see the tall bunny so much that Talia almost considered asking Tohru if she wanted to go up the next level so they could match but then she remembered that the goburimon were rookie level so that wouldn’t have been a fair fight at all, even if the rabbit was slightly less powerful without her brother around. “So noble...I hope these stupid trolls don’t take advantage of that, pffft, like they’d be ever be civil enough for a normal job like that.” When Tohru made eye contact with the taller rabbit she found herself taken aback for some reason, almost...starstruck would have been a word a human used - it definitely made Talia giggle. “Awww, it’s like a puppy meeting a grown version of it’s breed!” Turuiemon blushed, glaring at her partner. “S-shut up idiot...guh, I have a fight to focus on.” “Crouching tiger!” Springing back a bit, the purple bunny sprang forward with an outstretched leg to deliver a strong kick, knocking one of the goblins right in the face and as the other one went to swing at her with its spiked club she caught it, cracking it with one of her metal knuckles. “You shouldn’t have these if you’re going to use them for excessive violence.” The goburimon that had been pummeled by Toki’s hammer arms flew into the air from impact, hitting a tree in the process. “Not bad!” Tohru commented as she watched the trolls eventually but quickly get up with a body language that could only scream pissed off. Toki's hand returned to normal after his attack and he took on a pose, one arm behind his back and the other outstretched, palm up "I do not wish to continue this longer than necessary. Please, you are capable of better things than this." he pleaded with the Goburimon despite the battle going on.
He looked over towards Talia and felt a little happy that this particular form was something recognizable, then he looked down Tohru "You're pretty skilled yourself. There's something about how you fight that is...important to my spirit. We will have to talk when all is said and done. Speaking of which..." he looked over at the two Goburimon and approached slowly. He struck the ground "Sand Grasp." he said as the earth around him started to spiral and twist into swirling sands that threatened to latch onto the two offending Digimon and slow them down "Let's sit down and end this battle. As I said, there is no reason for it to continue. Why do you have the desire to hurt? The desire to fight like this?" he asked, arms behind his back.
As this went on he would occasionally glance over at Talia's other Digimon. They seemed...troubled. All of them did, in fact. He wondered if there was anything he could possibly do for them, but soon his focus returned to those next to him. He somehow managed to keep a patient expression with them despite their violent behavior "I could help you with your worries. Do you have a leader you're afraid of? Forcing you into this? I could speak with them." he offered, trying to exhaust his options. If they attacked in his area of effect, he'd take the blows and barely flinch despite the damage.
Toki was patient, but if this continued he knew he would have no choice but to truly suppress them by force. While he enjoyed a good fight for sport, this was something different. It meant protecting others. Sooner or later if they didn't back off, something would have to be done.

“A business is a business at the end of the day bunny boy!” Was all one of the trolls cryptically said as they fought which made Tohru begin to deduce the meaning of that - were they mobsters? Thieves? Con artists? Something about this particularly group definitely didn’t sit well her, they looked too smug, too relaxed, as if they were up to something that had nothing to do with this fight whatsoever. “Don’t be too forgiving, something isn’t right here,” she muttered to the taller bunny in between a kick, making eye contact with him as she did so. “Huh, and here I thought was crazy to think there was something familiar about you!”“Heh, you fluffs are gonna find out why in a minute!” Talia was so focused on observing the battle that she hardly noticed when another goburimon had grabbed her, as well as another grabbing the sleeping Simba. “What the? Put me down you diseased green beans!” Realizing what was going on, she called out to the fighting bunnies. “Tohru, it’s a distraction!” The ninja bunny turned around to get a quick glance only to see her human and partner begin to disappear into the woods, which only her blood boil more. “They’re just liars that’s all, and liars need to be punished.” Hoping backwards a bit, the rabbit released a particular nasty looking mace attached to a long chain from her hand which swung at one of the trolls and made the creature scream as data spilled from where the mace’s spikes had punctured him, an equal wail coming from the next one who the weapon slammed into. “And now you’ve woken the dragon, HA!”Meanwhile the woman had been trying to get out of the goburimon’s grip but it was a surprisingly strong one for a child digimon but just to their luck, she noticed Simba begin to stir awake, jumping to life very confused as he looked around before biting down on the arm that was holding him causing the digimon to drop the dragon, who blew a spew of flames in the direction of the troll that was holding Talia, barely moving out of the way as one of the other virus digimon went to grab him and the fire grazed, the shock of the burn on the goburimon’s skin managed to set Talia free, who proceeded to kick away the ogre as much as she could. “Abort! Tell the boss!” However, the duo were not that stupid. “Grab one Simba!” After evolving him to champion, the woman jumped onto his back and dashed down the road further. “Put me down your scaly brute! Help me idiots!” Unfortunately the others were a bit too afraid now of the upper level digimon and they weren’t exactly known for loyalty so the other goburimon ran off, leaving their cohort behind to be at the mercy of the woman and her dragon. “Hey uglies! Either you tell us what’s going on or your bud here become dragon food, got it?” The tall baohuckmon was now sitting on his haunches with a rather smug expression on his face as he held the creature in between his teeth like a dog with a new toy but not putting any pressure whatsoever. It was pure bluffing of course - Simba didn’t have the beastly capacity to chew up another digimon live. “Tohru! Are you alright?” Coming back to the clearing, Talia had been taken aback to see her partner being so violent, having never truly seen that side of her to be honest. “You heard her!” The rabbit had seemed to ignore whatever her tamer had said and instead launched her mace once again, this time just using the chain to bind around of the trolls ankles, pulling it to knock him down. There was a look of hot energy and ferality in the rabbit eyes which in plain and simple spelled out to anger, nothing more nothing less. Toki Akiyama

Toki's eyes narrowed into a bone chilling glare once the events around him began to unfold. While he was there holding back the first two, more Goburimon came out of nowhere and attempted to abduct Talia and Simba. He put up his arms to block any further attacks from the Goburimon "You had your chance." he would attempt to slam both of his fists down on top of the two to push them into the sand. He turned towards the forest and prepared to rescue Talia and Simba, but the two of them were already on their way back by the time he was free to move again. Simba had digivolved and captured one of the Goburimon during their escape. However, Toki's spirit spoke to him once Tohru's anger boiled over "Toki. Please, allow me to take it from here." he said in his mind. Toki nodded slowly. "Slide Evolution..."
There was a sudden spike in power in the area as Toki's form shimmered and changed shape. A new voice came from him as the bright light subsided "ZenCherubimon." they spoke. Their closed eyes opened very slightly in a calm, yet stern glare to those around him. "How long has it been, Tohru?" he spoke in a friendly tone. "Please, calm your mind. Your tamer is concerned for you. You are all safe for the moment. Remember to breathe." he instructed. He looked over at Talia and Simba. He put his palms together and bowed to them "It brings me peace that you two are safe."
ZenCherubimon looked at the chain and frowned "Remove the chain..." he said before he shot a glare at the captive Goburimon "But do not confuse this for forgiveness. You have attempted to abduct and bring harm to innocents. Tell us what you are planning and who put you up to this. Word of warning...do not mistake my kindness for weakness." this spirit was rather eloquent. Soft spoken yet direct when he must be, like a mentor. There seemed to be a great amount of trust between him and Toki as well if Toki would let his Spirit take over for a while. "Peace within the Digital World is precious to Toki and I. If there is someone out there who makes a habit of abductions, I will not be content to be at the fringes knowing there is something I could do."

Upon the appearance of ZenCherubimon, Talia and the twins couldn’t help but feel a sort of...calming sensation begin in the atmosphere? Not in a drug induced way, but in a way that they all vibed from the stronger digimon’s meditative aura if that made sense. What didn’t make sense was when the rabbit used her partner’s name, at least to the bunny who couldn’t seem to fully recall him which frustrated her greatly as the ninja rabbit furrowed her brow; as she seemed familiar with his presence, but not with who he actually was. “I’m not sure, but it’s definitely been a long time hasn’t it? I know you..but how come I can’t remember?” Remember to breathe. Yup, that was one thing she’d definitely forgotten between all the chaos. “But but…” She looked over at Talia with an utmost confusion, having only been used to taking orders from the human by this point, who responded with an unsure shrug. She had the feeling that despite the spiritual rabbit giving off a vibe as a peacekeeper, he was not one to be messed with, so she could only hope her own bunny would act accordingly. “Dont worry about us. Recently Simba learned how to use his fire power, and that managed to save our butts, because I’m not about to let anyone kidnap me or my partners!” “Fuh, fine, if there’s any funny business though…” She reluctantly retracted the chain, the iron disappearing as it seemed to astrally go back into her hand. The goburimon remained on the ground, having been stunned from the chain knocking it down which was better for everyone since the last thing they needed was for him to run off to whoever his master was. “Tohru!” Her thought was interrupted by a surprise pounce hug from the human, who had jumped off Simba and ran to the bunny’s side. “You shouldn’t strain yourself so much like that, you’re gonna wear yourself out.” Confused by the embrace, Turuiemon tried to tug away a bit but the slightly shorter silver blonde girl wouldn’t budge and having lost most patience by this point, the masked bunny relaxed, accepting the woman’s cuddles, and as they hugged, the Goburimon stuck in Simba's jaws spoke up. “M-my master, Baromon, is a collector of unique and unusual things, and he has been interested in these dragon twins for some time!” That made Talia’s blood boil and at the same time worry since it seemed they’d gained a bit of a reputation in the digital world. “Well they’re not antiques to be auctioned off, so you can tell your master to go scratch for all I care!”

ZenCherubimon's eyes closed as he tried his best to explain himself "Regrettably my own memories of the past are hazy at best, especially since they are currently incomplete. My physical self has long since left the Digital World, but my spirit lingered on, waiting for the right person to inherit my abilities. Toki has been an excellent heir. Kind, compassionate, and only wishes for the best in others. He's grown quite a bit. As for how I know you...well, I believe I used to be a mentor to you. The fact you do not remember...something must have happened to you too, yes...?" he asked, slightly worried for his old friend.
He looked at Simba and Talia with a smile "It seems you've made wonderful friends in the midst of the hardship, however. That is something you should forever cherish. Simba, Talia...correct? You three clearly have a deep bond. Never lose sight of that, hm?" every word was said in the clearest, friendliest voice. Genuine kindness. "Now then."
He looked over at the Goburimon and slightly opened his eyes "Baromon? We know who to ask for then. Well I'm sorry to say that they are not things. They are living, breathing beings in this world of ours, not experiments to be toyed with. I would know where he is, so I may tell him this personally." he requested. Either way, he sat down and looked rather relaxed. The orbs behind him gently floated around in a spherical pattern.
"It disappoints me that there are still those that manipulate others for their own gain. Harming others, viewing others as pawns and pieces in a twisted game. All Digimon...all humans. Are we not all equal on the virtue of living? The smallest child...the mightiest Mega...such things do not matter. Our character. Our love for one another is what is important." he looked at the Goburimon. No malice, no hatred "Do you not have those you care about? Please, go to them. Support them and have them support you. There's a better life out there for you than working for this Baromon. Do not worry about them coming after you. I will see to it they shall not harm you or others."
Afterwards, he turned to face Talia and her Digimon "Forgive me if I am not solving this in a manner you are used to or prefer. I simply want there to be as little bloodshed as possible while helping others find their way. If you have any questions about me, or my methods, please ask. I value everyone's voice."

“It sounds a bit generic, but having a human and a twin to look out for has taught me a lot about responsibility, patience and fidelity. I had never had, or at least I can’t recall, having a brother in any of my previous life cycles so it’s definitely been a new experience. He’s annoying and might be the only digimon I’ve met more stubborn than me, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world - besides he’s just a kid you know? He needs me, and Talia of course, to guide him on the right path in this world - like I don’t think he would ever knowingly walk into a Triceramons territory but he does tend to have a bit of an ego and temper sometimes - he takes after me after all!” Normally Tohru wasn’t so open with her thoughts but she felt fairly comfortable around ZenCherubimon, as if a part of her did truly know him as an old friend from the past. “You know I have been thinking that - because if I never had a brother before, how did I manage to get one now? There was definitely something involved in that.”
The bunny’s friendly attitude made Talia smile, giving the duo an affectionate hug with either of her arms. “It’s been a long time coming, but I like to think we’ve established a pretty good trifecta through a lot of patience.” Tohru glared at her human. “Taliaaaa, not in front of my new buddy.” Sometimes she could be like the tamer version of the obnoxious mom hooting and hollering at their kids sports games. The silver haired lady winked at Toki, “I like to think its my job as their tame to embarrass them, what do you think?” Plus Tohru was always so grumpy and serious that the girl couldn’t help but poke fun at it sometimes. ZenCherubimon’s words seemed to pluck a string with the Goburimon, but whether that was in a good or bad way seemed to still be up in the air. “S-shut up! All I care about is getting stronger and I don’t need you to lecture me on being straight and good, when as a virus type it’s my nature to be aggressive, something I’m damn proud of too!” The troll kicked and struggled in Simba’s teeth but his jaws were tightly locked. “And I only care about serving my master, I have no family to go to.” It was funny how at first the woman would have been thrilled to see her dragon crunch this boy’s data between his teeth but now she was starting to feel a little bad seeing that he seemed to truly be struggling as well as trying to block out ZenCherubimons wisdom but failing miserably. “Well, it’s never too late for anything you know! Life is fleeting and precious and you should live in the best way you can.” But if obeying the orders of his master made him fulfilled, who was she to say otherwise? “In fact I can vouch for such.”Tohru shrugged. “I don’t really have a problem with it, and to be honest I would rather the twins save their energy for a real emergency you see - recently we had an incident where we got involved with a tamer that had a corrupt digimon and well…” Pulling out her old work key badge from Overlord, she flashed it to the bunny, showing a woman in pigtails with blonde hair and blue eyes. “This was what I looked like before that incident.”

ZenCherubimon laughed happily at the trio's banter "Something must have happened indeed. Whatever it was, good or ill, it seems to have turned into a blessing. It's great to see you taking care of someone and guiding them on the path you think is right for them. Still...you're right. In my memories I don't recall you having a twin, so that is a mystery. In any case, we should not dwell on it. We are here now, so let's make the most of it." he said, his calm smile not fading once.
As Talia teased Tohru, he couldn't help but find it sweet "The fact the three of you are so comfortable with each other is a testament to how well you get along with one another and how much trust there is among you. There's nothing wrong with letting yourself relax and have fun, so I'm glad you're here for Tohru."
He sighed sadly at the Goburimon "You give yourself too little credit. While you may be a Virus type, that says very little about who you truly are. There is no shame in wanting to become stronger, and aggression is not an inherently negative trait. But it's misplaced. You could be a bodyguard or even a defender, yet you choose to work for someone who brings harm to others." he said. He frowned at their mention of having no family to go to "I am sorry. It must be very difficult for you. However, that doesn't mean there aren't those out there that care for you. You just have yet to meet most of them. Believe it or not, I care for your well-being."
His smile returned at Talia's words "I agree with our human friend here." he said. Though he was concerned with the implications of what had happened to her recently "You've also been through a lot, haven't you Talia? If there's anything I can do to help, Toki and I will offer it. Speaking of energy, we should conserve ours as well. It was nice to speak with you all in person. Tohru, take care of yourself. We'll speak again." he said as the Digimon's form shimmered slightly. The form dispersed, and Toki's human form returned.
Toki stretched "Aah, still not quite used to it when he does that, but I'm back. He's right, you know. All of you should treasure what you have...and maybe some of you should find things to treasure yourselves."

The goburimon, who'd only ever known what it was like to be an employee of baromon, didn't understand very much of what Toki was trying to say to him but at the same time was quited inquired. "Who I...am...?" Individuality wasn't something he'd ever been taught before. "I do not even have a name, we goburimon tend to be collectivists when employed by a master." It was enough for Talia to ponder if convincing him to choose his title would assist the goblin to understand what Toki was trying to say. "Snowflake feelings are not part of my species tradition, I know not of how to detect love or friendship and I only respect those who are strong - I believed I was strong in fact until this human and her dragon got me! And you..you are different..your power is unique because you possess the data of a human...you have felt human feelings."They were a pathetic and weak subspecies who he often wished he crush under his club, so why all of a sudden did he feel so confused? “Nothing that says you can’t learn now.” Talia shrugged. “In programming we like to run by the philosophy that you’re always learning new things!” The big word piqued the interest of the green beast, who glanced at the silver haired girl. “What is a p-philosophy?” For a moment Talia had to think about her answer the definition could be a bit broad at times. “Well, think of it as kind of..what makes up wisdom, or really makes up what you believe in.”Talia petted both of the twins. “I like to think we tolerate eachother well enough? See, I came over here from the states when I was offered the chance to study abroad - the abroad program turned into a permanent apprenticeship - and the apprenticeship turned into full time work and I was basically the american girl stuck in a land where I didn’t know anyone, but now I feel less...alone than I did?” After receiving an answer to his question regarding philosophy the goburimon had remained mostly silent in thought while listening to the conversation. “And thanks to me, don’t fall asleep in front of your computer anymore! See ya later, Zencherubimon.” The bunny reverted to that of a much smaller lopmon and sat on Talia’s head, flopping her head forward while waving goodbye to the bigger rabbit while making the girl appear as if she was wearing some kind of silly hat. “Heh she’s kinda cute when she’s not a chain throwing Bugs Bunny ain’t she?” While Talia was touched by the kind offer, she knew deep down there wasn’t much anyone could really do to fix things. “Eh, it’s just something I kinda have to get over I guess.” She shrugged. “That and I just...feel stuck I guess..like I’m homesick for my own body?”And Toki was revealed to be quite the handsome fellow upon reverting. “Out of curiosity, does it...hurt when you transform?” The question had come from Simba, who tilted his head to the side with a curious expression. “I always wanted to ask Amy but was afraid to!” But these days he was trying to sort of get out of that apprehensive state of mind - besides, what was the worst that could happen? Simba could sense that the man was gentle and kind, there was no reason for him to fear a lash out. Talia giggled, giving the dragon another pet. “Do forgive my boy’s adorable curiosity.” Toki Akiyama

"All living things have the capacity to change, grow, and evolve. And they all deserve that right." Toki said to the Goburimon. "You say you respect the strong? Well then, let me put it this way...strength is more about what you're able to smash to pieces. It's about the integrity to use that physical force for something good. To protect those that you like and give you a chance to experience life in a way that doesn't involve servitude to those who would take advantage of you."
Toki smiled and sat down, legs crossed "On our own, compared to Digimon, we humans may seem fragile and fleeting...but we're so much more than what we are on the surface. And so are Digimon. While I'm still not sure what force has bound our worlds together...I think it wanted us to meet and learn from one another. Humans and Digimon living side by side and becoming a better society through our mutual advancement." he said. He looked over at the Goburimon "You are more than capable of learning, understanding, and feeling. Times are changing...and it's up to you to reach out and see what these changing times can offer you."
He listened in on Talia's story "An exchange program turned career opportunity. I'm glad that part worked out, but I can imagine the loneliness if must have caused. Things work out in mysterious ways though, and now you have two amazing friends that you can always count on."
Toki found Tohru's Lopmon form positively adorable, as evident by the beaming smile he gave her. He gave her a little wave "Digimon never cease to make me smile. Seems like you and my friend go way back, but don't quite know how, huh? Don't you worry, I'm sure we'll find out together one day."
Simba's question made him pause and think for a moment "It's...difficult to describe. There's a huge rush of power that takes over my body like an intense fire. There's pain, but it's not crippling. I see it as a test. In an odd way it reminds me of some drills high level practitioners of the Karate style I study do. They'll take staffs or other pieces of wood and break them against our bodies. Endure, push onward. Know pain, so that you don't needlessly inflict it."

“Using my strength...in a different way than for purposes of assailment?” The goblimon couldn’t fathom a life without servitude to be honest, nor imagine that someone of his group’s known behavioral paradigm could be expected to change their ways - in fact it was part of why he’d reacted with the insurgency he was currently giving the group - people always assumed goburimon were hive brutes that lived for nothing but to serve and fight for higher digimon, so what was the point of changing? “My comrades abandoned me on the field back there.” Always having functioned collectively, the act had seemed to make him feel existentially lost, like a bee who’d stranded too far from the nest. “You mention being taken advantage of...is such an act an example of that?” As he spoke, the virus digimon suddenly felt the jaws around his form loosen as he dropped rather ungracefully to the ground with an oof - not that the baohuckmon was that tall, but the release in the form of a careless ragdoll esque toss was meant to give the message that just because he was beginning to trust him didn’t mean he would hesitate to use brute forced if he felt otherwise. “Don’t worry Talia, I don’t think he’ll be going anywhere,” the dragon reassured his human while making eye contact with the troll on the ground, who gave him a bit of an odd look. “You are an oddly gullible one.” His words sounded goading which concerned Talia and Tohru, but yet the baby in the trio seemed very...leveled headed about the whole thing? “I can be! But I knew you wouldn’t run away if I let you go because now you’ve realized there’s no point in returning to your old crew is there now that they’ve lost your trust? Trust is a big part of a friendship, see - my partner and sister held that towards me when I set you free.” Faith - it was a mystical concept to the virus digimon for sure - despite their groupthink ways, he knew for sure his comrades would turn on all the others if it promised an indulgent prize or more power. “While I do not really understand your incessant lecturing, I think I will consider...looking at humans a bit closer, as you convinced me to try to change my opinions on them - something I doubt I will go through with for sure, but if anything it will be a step to finding what kind of digital persona I possess I suppose.” The woman hugged the twins as one would have stuffed animals (as she did with most small cute digimon, granted Simba wasn’t exactly small at the moment but he was still very much huggable in her eyes). “The best friends too! I kinda have a boyfriend too but…” The brief mention of the topic made her slightly uncomfortable as she started to play with her fingers, pondering whether to be loud or a lady at that moment. “He cheated on me with an entire club of girls, who does that!?” The increase of decibels in her voice seemed to rile up the goburimon, who started to swing his club and move around excitedly. “What is this so called act of ‘cheating’? Shall I assist in getting rid of it?!” Shushing the trigger happy green boy with an ear, Tohru knew this was probably one of the best first things to learn about humans. “Nah, it’s better to stay out of those kinds of humans affairs, trust me.” Did he get she meant? Nope, but atm he was just following the new things the twins were teaching him so he dropped the matter for the time being, happily ready to start again should he be told so. “Not a clue.” Tohru shook his head. “It would be fun to learn why! Sometimes I wonder if Simba had a birth family here somewhere maybe in the dragons valley, and not to sound like I have an ego but really Talia and I are his family now so it wouldn’t matter -its just all curiosity anyway.” She would never admit it, but Tohru was sure she would become very jealous if her brother ever discovered he had another family. “Just as long as he wouldn’t forget about us, I’d be fine - h-hey, put me down!” Now that his jaws were free the dragon had scooped up his sister by the scruff in a far more playful body language than he’d used with the goblin earlier, who was watching the interaction between the twins with an utmost curiosity. “Don’t worry sis, I’d never forget about you!” “Ooooh, karate? Like what you see on the television?” There was so much shown there that it was tough for the dragon to remember what was real and not real - reminder he had to still figure out where sesame street was. The question could only make Talia chuckle. “As you can see, we’re a hyperactive bunch - there’s such a stigma attached to it, but I like to think having a lot of energy and spunk is a healthy quality, no?” Toki Akiyama
