Hakainushi – it was once a name widely feared, loathed, reviled throughout every corner of the Digital World.[break][break]
Once, it belonged to a group of self-professed conquerors and overlords, all of whom wished to command the datascape and refashion it in their own image. It took exhaustive measures to stave away their virulence, as Digimon and human beings alike—Tamers, possessors of the ancient Spirits, and specialists in the art of Xros Fusion—shared one goal in common: defeat Hakainushi and restore balance to the Digital World. Through the combined efforts and countless sacrifices of the many, this dream soon became a reality, and Hakainushi was no more.[break][break]
Cycles came and went, and as the generations passed like grains of sand in the hourglass of time, their name, their legacy of evil, was slowly lost to history. Newer menaces, far more powerful than the last, came to eclipse the former existence of Hakainushi until, eventually, inevitably, it too fell into the depths of obscurity. Once the Digital World's premier threat, Hakainushi became nothing more than a distant and fleeting memory.[break][break]
Many, many years later, a collective of ambitious, like-minded youths have suddenly staked a claim upon the identity of this former menace to both worlds, seemingly with the intention of resurrecting it from the ashes of destruction to return anew. It is whispered that this tribe of miscreants are being implicitly guided by a single individual from the shadows, one that supposedly bears a connection to the past incarnation of this terrible organization, but these rumors cannot be properly confirmed on admission of the members themselves, who claim to have assumed the moniker as a twisted symbol of fraternity.[break][break]
These insinuations are what compel the members of Hakainushi's newest iteration of itself to behave on the grounds of trust and loyalty. As outcasts of society, delinquents and misfits unable to find a place in the world themselves, each individual is expected—perhaps encouraged, even—to formulate an attachment to others as a means of promoting group cohesion and symbiosis, and betrayal is treated as an issue worthy of excommunication and exile.[break][break]
Emerging from the darkness into a world wracked with corruption, Hakainushi has but one goal: achieve power by any means necessary, dismantle the systems responsible for plunging the natural order of all things into disarray, and claw their way up to the very apex of the food chain itself, so that they might stand above the rest as triumphant victors – together.[break][break]
Alas, these are achievements of truly lofty proportions, as the future always remains uncertain for those ambitious enough to seize it...
GOALS
At first blush, Hakainushi appears to be motivated by the Darwinist principle of natural selection: the strong will adapt and thrive under the most hostile conditions, while the weak are destined to be consumed by the powerful or fade away into nothingness. To this end, many of Hakainushi's member base perceives the advancement of industry and urbanization as running counter to the world's capacity for authentic development; those who disagree with these ideas have proven themselves to be complicit with its gradual descent into technological ruin and must be erased to prevent further degradation.[break][break]
To achieve these goals, Hakainushi prioritizes the seizure of all Digivices from human beings who have been proven to possess one, followed by the subsequent capture and deletion of any Digimon found to bear a link to such frivolities, as they are an extension of human weakness and limitation. Furthermore, the wholesale destruction of factories, skyscrapers, offices, banking systems, and other sources of political and environmental pollution act as a means of promoting their image of self-reliance and organic growth.[break][break]
Above all else, Hakainushi aims to re-establish its former glory as the Digital World's most powerful beings, and will seek to benefit through mutual alliances whenever possible to further these ambitions. Once their plans have been carried out in full, all technologies deemed unnecessary will be ordered for destruction, culminating in the terminal severance of the link between the human plane and the Digital World, where Hakainushi will reign supreme as living gods and prosper within a paradise of their own creation.[break][break]
ABILITIES
[break][break]
Qari Mikhuy ( 男イーター )[break]
• Members of Hakainushi are versed in forgotten lore, having learned the means to draw forth dark energies from deep within the Digital World. Once per thread, a member of Hakainushi may target an individual and perform a ritual that lets them manifest an enormous geoglyph formation, its exact shape varying between individuals, that engulfs the arena with eldritch power. A number of conditions must be met for this ability to take effect.[break][break]
Members of Hakainushi with access to Q'ari Makhuy must first recite a chant for one full post in order to conjure the powers necessary for creating a glyph; this ultimately gives the opposing parties plenty of time to flee the scene or launch a counteroffensive of their own. Additionally, this ability can only be triggered within the Digital World; the dimensional distance between it and the human realm means it cannot be called upon outside of the most extreme and desperate of circumstances (such instances require express permission from Site Staff). Furthermore, the skill's activator and the subject they wish to target must either be equally as powerful as their highest available level of Digivolution, or both parties must yield express consent to its use. A high-ranking member of Hakainushi may veto the use of Q'ari Makhuy if necessary and terminate any attempts to channel the glyph's powers in the event a lower-ranked member tries to use it without permission.[break][break]
In the event the skill's activator successfully completes the chant, both they and their selected target of choice are spatially segregated from the rest of the Digital World by a dark energy sphere. A number of effects will then be applied to promote what is essentially a one-versus-one trial by combat. Neither party under a glyph's influence can escape its boundaries for as long as the conjured glyph remains manifest in the Digital World, while any and others that are not directly related to the selected targets of Q'ari Makhuy (read: bystanders and observers, such as a different Tamer and their partner/s, or a different Xros General and their army of Digimon) are forcibly expelled from the affected area – even the likes of other Hakainushi members cannot bypass this condition; no outsiders can influence subjects under the glyph's influence, and affected targets cannot interact with the outside world in kind.[break][break]
If multiple members of Hakainushi attempt to use Q'ari Makhuy in one instance, the conditions change from one-versus-one into two-versus-two, and so on; an equal number of users and targets must be present at any point. If the chosen target's vitality is lower than that of the glyph summoner's, it is increased by roughly two-thirds of this value as an incentive for honorable combat.[break][break]
The only way to escape and leave the boundaries of a conjured glyph is to determine a winner through combat, which returns any survivors back to the Digital World or if the opposite party deigns to escape the fight – but only if they are capable of proving their worth. In the event a target wishes to flee the battle, they are required to survive for encounter for no more than three posts and cannot attack the glyph conjurer directly during this period; if they succeed in doing so, members of Hakainushi are honor-bound to spare the individual and permit their escape and cannot pursue or target them for the thread's remaining duration, provided the departing survivor holds themselves to their own surrender. Those who break the codes of honor, Hakainushi or not, will be smote by the Dark Spirits for their transgressions.[break][break]
Consequently, a member of Hakainushi that activates Q'ari Makhuy is ultimately prohibited from withdrawing or escaping from combat once the glyph has manifested. If a surrender or retreat is attempted, in their case, the Dark Spirits of Disaster will possess the violator as punishment for their weakness and force them to continue combat until a clear victor is determined.[break][break]
Targets who have survived the application of Q'ari Makhuy once before—whether through victory, defeat, or voluntary surrender—are granted the added benefit of being given future immunity from subsequent applications; this extends beyond the duration of the current thread. This condition can be waived only if all involved parties consent to this Out-of-Character.[break][break]

Hakainushi operated under a loosely-structured hierarchical ladder as determined by the influence of its leader, Xenica Sanagi. The Boss, as she is called, is the highest level of authority within the organization: they plan the assignments, manage the political dealings, and effectively call all the shots. Directly beneath them is the Underboss, who handles Hakainushi's affairs with roughly the same degree of power and influence as their superior, but only with the Boss's explicit permission in most circumstances. Lower on the chain of command are Hakainushi's pair of Lieutenants, who are seen as superior officers that, while unable to act on their own authority, serve as the mouthpieces for those ranked above them, overseeing missions on the field and directing affairs in their stead.[break][break]
All others who are inducted into the ranks of Hakainushi are given the status of Grunt. While they are obligated to follow orders and possess no tangible influence within the group on their own, it should be noted that they are permitted the express freedom to contribute their insights at any point they wish; it may very well be what spells the difference between triumph and defeat.[break][break]

Description: Every organization worth its weight in gold knows that the exchange of information is utterly crucial to their long-term success. The job of a messenger is a thankless, but important, part of ensuring Hakainushi's prosperity as it continues to claw its way back from the depths of anonymity. They must be dependable, diligent, and dutiful – and it just so happens that Boomer carries all three of these attributes in spades.[break][break]
By no means a combatant for the front lines, this childish DemiDevimon may very well be one of Hakainushi's weakest members. However, his plucky attitude and remarkable efficiency in his assigned role as its designated middleman for delivering packages and information have secured for him a small, but necessary, place in its ranks. Rain or shine; hail or hellfire; not even a swarm of angry Kuwagamon can dissuade this delivery boy from reaching his intended destination, going even so far as to surprise many with his uncanny ability to avoid confrontation.[break][break]
Apart from his assigned role, Boomer enjoys numerous qualities that most children often take for granted, with the only exception to this being his propensity for acting spoiled and rotten. Nonetheless, he is quite affable and enjoys being bribed with candy and other sweets, however this extends primarily to other members of Hakainushi; all others beyond the group tend to be shown a rather mean-spirited and impish little creature.[break][break]

Like a true Siren, Lucida employs her innocent image and alluring charm to draw others in, only so that they are more easily manipulable and bent to her will. Others are mere tools for her to exploit and discard when no longer useful, making Lucida exceptionally ruthless in combat.[break][break]
A compulsive liar, Lucida cannot be expected to ever speak the truth, even regarding the most insignificant or trivial of matters. Only those within her small "circle of friends" are aware of this particular issue, yet do nothing to correct this as it is merely a part of how she operates. To all other outsiders, Lucida is the paragon of virtue and love itself, an authentic healer and protector of the Digital World.[break][break]
Her superiority complex is so astoundingly deep that Lucida will even go as far as to elevate her physical form to drive the point home, even if such a gesture is largely superfluous. She cannot stand those who take to using her name in vain and, like any jealous god, will exercise her divine wrath upon those that defile it with their imperfect words.[break][break]
While she physically appears to be an Angewomon, this is not really the case. Lucida is one of the abominations created from the so-called Angel Project, and is in fact considered to be the only one that is truly "complete." [break][break]

Level: Ultimate [break]
Species: Angewomon [break]
Attribute: Virus [break]
Family: Nightmare Soldiers [break]
Type: Angel [break][break]
Fighting Style: Changes depending on the situation - but always takes a hyper aggressive approach. [break][break]
Passive Abilities: [break][break]
Angel Project Ace [break]
Passive Ability [break]
• Lucida is considered to be the only successful Digimon from the Angel Project. Her body is highly adaptable as a result of this; she requires no sleep, no food or drink, does not need to breathe, and can even withstand intense pressure at high altitudes. Unfortunately, she is not truly perfect, and is completely unable to Digivolve naturally through training her abilities and forming bonds with others. Instead, she must consume the needed data to first Digivolve into a new form from other living Digimon. As an addition, her body naturally restores 5% of her maximum life force every turn. [break][break]
Angel Project [break]
Passive Ability [break]
• This Digimon is an anomaly even among Digimon; born by artificial means with the intent to supposedly be able to replace the very core of the Digital World. While these claims are dubious in nature, the very makeup of this Digimon's data is foreign and unlike the rest of their kin. [break][break]
• The user is not identified as a Digimon by typical scanning tools or radars; merely as a cluster of undetectable data. Keenly-sensitive Digimon may be able to identify that their data is not like other Digimon, potentially being identifiably dangerous to try and absorb... which leads to the second aspect of this trait. [break][break]
• Should the user be ever reduced to data from deletion, would-be predators will come to a nasty surprise. If a Digimon attempts to load this data, they will begin to rapidly take massive amounts of damage each turn for as long as they hold said data; their own life essence and data cannibalized in a chain reaction-esque sequence as the user more or less quickly reforms directly inside their body (promptly bursting out when released). The longer that said user's data remains parasitizing the host, the more health they will have when they are inevitably reborn. While there are no true limitations to this ability, it is solely reliant on the ignorance of others. [break][break]
Arclight Armory [break]
Passive Ability [break]
• Lucida is capable of manifesting a rainbow colored light that can be shaped into a variety of simple weapons (Swords, bows and arrows, whips, and such items are allowed. Complicated weaponry like firearms is not.) for three turns at a time. A maximum of three weapons can be active at any one time. Only Digimon with the [Angel Project] passive ability can pick up the light constructs without burning themselves. Each weapon, regardless of shape or design, ignores all defensive changes gained from active abilities.

Active Abilities: [break][break]
Divine Predation [break]
Active Ability [break]
• Lucida delves into the data makeup of a single enemy (cannot be used on allied or neutral parties) target Digimon, learning vital information about one of their passive or active abilities. After taking some time to analyze this data, the Angewomon can then use the scanned ability as her own one post after Divine Predation was used, and once she does, the owner of the scanned ability has that ability's cooldown refreshed, if it had a cooldown. This ability has few restrictions, but it is not without them: Divine Predation cannot use abilities that are designated once per thread, and must rescan abilities each time it is used, even if the ability in question was scanned previously in the thread.
[Cooldown: Equal to the cooldown of the copied ability] [break][break]
Ascension [break]
Active Ability [break]
• Lucida flies straight up into the upper layers of the atmosphere at full speed, utilizing her six wings and durable body to do so quickly. She remains in the sky for three turns, before returning back to lower altitudes. [break]
[Cooldown: 2 turns] [break][break]
Valkyrie Air Strike [break]
Active Ability [break]
• Lucida summons forth a celestial bow, and loads it with a divine arrow that splits into three dozen more upon release, raining down a volley of projectiles over a thirty foot radius. Can only be activated if Lucida is airborne. [break]
[Cooldown: 1 turn] [break][break]
Archfiend Air Strike [break]
Active Ability [break]
• Lucida gathers dark energy between her palms, creating a massive crackling violet-colored ball of the resource, before throwing it down at a target location. The energy detonates upon impact, sending out a wave of harmful energy across a thirty foot radius. Can only be activated if Lucida is airborne. [break]
