"...This dastardly place again," Warg the Black Guilmon X muttered unhappily. "How I wish to be able to fly and just... Get the fuck outta here, you got me?"
"You're not even Black Megalo Growmon X at the moment, shut up," his sister, a Commandramon named Kon-chan hissed. "Seriously, though, where are we? We just walked and suddenly..."
"Some vines grabbed us," a third voice continued. That one was their partner, Nakano Koharu. "I don't know whether that was attack by enemy Digimon or not, but we ended here.... Ouchouchouch. We're lucky this moss bed somehow softened our landing... If not..." the teenage shuddered.
"Anego, can you check the function of your digivice if it's still functioning and alright?" Warg asked.
"On it... ummm, if I recalled it correctly...." Koharu whipped out a smartphone-like object. This is not one that made in real world however. It's in fact a Digivice, the D-Nexus, a team Digivice for KIZNA. Koharu checked all the app one by one, and sighed in relief.
"All system green."
"That's great... but..." Kon-chan's eyes wandered to the grapple gun on Koharu's waist. "...How about you try to shoot that to the ceiling up there?"
It looks like it takes about twenty feet ascent for them to return to the surface. This probably scalable with the gun... Now... to shoot it... one, two...
FWIIISH
The wire whirred as the hook flew to reach the ledge. Unfortunately, just as fast as it come, a vine slapped it away. Koharu was more ready for this, thankfully. She quickly pressed the light button of her digivice to shine on the culprit. To her surprise, it wasn't a Digimon, but actual vine. Why would they move like that, she had no idea, but...
"Those plants... are actively moving, aren't they?"
"That they are. They doesn't seem to come from any Digimon. What's your scanner says?" Warg asked. Koharu seem had the similar idea and is focusing her camera at the said vines.
"They're not. It's part of dungeon, as if some mechanism. Too far from the target to get concrete data though..."
"Whatever it was, I hope we're not alone and these vines captured someone else. We could use some of their help honestly."
"Agreed. Koharu, activate automapping function. Keep your light on for now. I'll take the lead. Warg, you go on the back."
"Aye aye, Aneki."
The the ruins seems to be damp, and mostly dark... but as they goes deeper, it's clear that some of these mosses produces light. Thankfully, Koharu's digivice showed that these are harmless. She turned off the light, considering that the mosses provides enough for their vision.

Josh was being cautious right now. He'd been taking a short cut through the marsh to get back to the village of new beginnings when a vine had grabbed him by the ankle and dragged him down here before he could react. Now he was down a tent, but at least Belph and Leo had managed to grab the sides before they landed. He'd ended up landing hard on his arm, and was developing a rather large bruise right now.
The young man sighed, though was thankful. If one of the normal aged digidestined had been thrown down here, they might not have been so lucky. Still, that was most certainly a trap of some kind, and he was extremely cautious of being funneled anywhere. Belph was nervous and clung to the corner of the wall as they both peeked around it. Meanwhile, Leo was being far too brazen and Josh was continuously having to tell him to be quiet as they small group searched for a way out of these crumbling ruins.
"You worry too much. They're just vines." Complained the Elecmon as they made their way down the passageway, the moss covered walls. Josh snorted, rolling his eyes at the comment. "Normal vines don't grab you and throw you down holes." The man said dismissively. He kept his eyes forwards as the passageway opened into a large, circular room, several passages leading out from it. "Well, this is going to be a fun maze..." The tamer said, peering into each one, before looking up at the hole in the ceiling where sunlight was able to peek through the dome above them.

The trek was... rather uneventful, bar from slight echoes of Warg and Kon-chan's heavy footsteps. The Black Guilmon X noted this...
"...Think that this could tell our position to any possible enemies?" Warg asked.
"Even if it could, I don't think that's an issue at this time. The corridors are wide enough for us to run in case something gone wrong. Plus we have several cards..." Kon-chan replied.
"Right. So... does the automap function shows any enemies?"
"Enemies no," Koharu answered this time... "But I'm seeing three dots approaching... Another set like us perhaps. One sticking to the wall... I think? At least based on the map's corridor width, if the designer does not have astigmatism, or the corridors suddenly become wider or nearer..."
"...Should we approach?" Kon-chan asked
"I think we best make our intent clear," Warg answered "...and that mean you should not point you gun at someone."
"Why is it that I think you have really bad image about me?"
Warg grinned at his sister's comment, then dropped the gem "I think I know you well enou--"
WHACK.
The rifle on Kon-chan's hand now replaced with harisen to whack her brother's head. Koharu just smiled wryly. Never a dull day with these two. "Anyway... who wanted to talk with these people? They're just up ahead, and I think they can hear that whap by now."
"...Well the most diplomatic of us all should do that," Kon-chan commented sarcastically while glaring daggers at Warg "because I apparently only can approach thing with guns!"
"Heh, alright alright, sorry! Hey there, fellas! Can you hear me? We don't mean any funny business or hostile here! We're somehow dragged down here and all that... if you guys on similar circumstance, want to team up with us to get out from this ruins?" Warg called out with slightly louder voice.

(Due to an unexpected move and family issues, I apologise for my VERY late reply)
The Elecmon tilted a head, hearing a noise. "Hey, sounds like we might have another DD down here. I can hear at least one human and maybe two digimon?" The rabbit eared digimon noted, ears swiveling as the group approached. He hopped down off the wall and took up the forward position of the group. Belph on the other hand quickly let go of the wall and hurried over behind Josh's Legs before the large tamer squatted down, letting the young digimon climb aboard for a piggy back. "S..sorry. I d..d....don't mean to be a burden." He said, feeling ashamed before Josh stood up fully, walking behind Leo. "Don't worry about it. It's been a while since we were back in the digital world after all, and we're not as strong as we used to be. It's quite alright to get scared, but just take your time to build up your confidence again."
A voice rang out ahead, though the figures were still shrouded in the dark of the labyrinth. From the sounds of it, Josh wasn't the only person to be dragged down here, and while grateful for some company, he was worried. If there was one person, there were bound to be more this place had caught. What was going on here?
Josh stepped ahead of Leo and called back, walking towards the voice. "Yeah, we got dragged down here too. Are you another tamer? I've gotten twin digimon here, so don't worry that there's two digimon and only one of me ok?" Josh said, stepping into a junction between two similar passages. "Hey, we're at a junction here. Either keep talking so we can find you, or come towards us. Doesn't seem smart us walking the wrong way now." Leo says with a chuckle, though Belph edged down a little, worried about what or who might come out of the darkness.

"Well you don't have to worry about that!" Warg replied "there's two of us Digimon too and a partner!" Is twins really that rare? In his two and half year career as chosen's Digimon, he always find them to be some sort of normal compared to Xros Generals.
"I wouldn't call myself with that word, honestly. My partners hates those word, so I call myself a 'Linked', but it's as you said, I'm one, semantics aside," Koharu answered. "Tamers sounds like I'm taming these two although honestly they're now more to my guide than I'm acting as their controlling force."
They're offering them to come first? Well that is fine. Time to turn on the light again. Her D-Nexus provided more lighting now. The first one to appear is... Warg, the Black Guilmon X, followed by his sister, Kon-chan the Commandramon... and then their human, Koharu.
"The way you carried yourself doesn't sounds like someone who just recently came here, more like someone who has been here for long," Warg commented. "Name's Warg, this is my sister Kon-chan, just call her that, and don't ask her real name... and this one is our partner, Koharu. With who are we in pleasure of presence of?"

The adult had to stifle a chuckle. "Well, Twin digimon used to be far rarer, I'll admit. And tamer is merely a title referring to the version of digivice you hold." He explained as Leo hopped down in front of him and offering a wave. "Yo, I'm Leo, scout extraordinaire." The Elecmon said, puffing out his chest. "My brother Belph is a bit shy around new people, so take it easy on him will ya?" He said in a fake whisper, thumbing a claw back at the Bearmon still hiding behind Josh's legs.
Josh stepped forwards and, now fully in the light, offered a handshake, not minding if it was taken by the human, or one of the digimon. He was a surprisingly large guy, well over 6 foot tall with brown hair and a goatee. His clothes were casual, but easy to move in, and his body was well honed. He'd been in his fair share of battles and made sure to keep himself in good condition, though the scarring on two of the fingers of the hand he held out showed that he'd not gotten out of fights scott free.
He listened to Warg's explanation of who was who and nodded at the comment. "Well, I've been back and forth between both worlds multiple times, but after a certain... incident, we decided to stay in the real world. We only came back recently because I found out these two couldn't digivolve anymore and they didn't want to tell me because they thought I'd worry." He rolled his eyes. "Honestly, its like saying you don't want to go to the doctor when you're sick. But I digress. Any idea where we've ended up? I've not come across ruins like this before." He said, looking around again.
Leo's ears were twitching as he listened out for any odd noises from the three passageways. "I can't hear much from the two our groups came from, but I can hear running water down this one." He said, pointing into another gloomy corridor.

"Version? What version?" Koharu cheekily asked, albeit in good way. She flashed her Digivice, which unlike any of the usually known model. "That aside, nice to meet you guys I guess!" "Leo... a Leomon sort, and Belph... a Belphemon, eh?" Warg commented. "Not the first time I saw a Belphy with Bearmon as a child stage. One of our friend also a Bearmon with Belphy form." Either way, he moved in to shook the hand with the tall man. "Are you sure it's wise to say your circumstances in front of strangers like us? If you're veteran then you surely know that we can pretty much guess each other's strength by feeling alone..." "Warg, enough with the twisted humor, we're not going to scare the Bearmon." Kon-chan admonished her brother. "Lest that he thought we want to have some funny business or what. In this sort of situation that gonna get us into mess damn quick." "A joke, a joke. We're not really stronger than you either... mainly because circumstances, but eh well! Water that way eh? Anyway, no idea where we are, but our friend said there are lots of ruins buried under the swamp of the Bayou. It's usually catacombs or sort, you see... but considering this place's structure I don't think it's any of those catacombs really. Which either means we're in uncharted area, or it's just some new style of catacombs, who knows! Digital World's mystery!"

(Just an FYI, Belph has never turned into anything past champion, so that knowledge is currently unknown)
Josh peered at the digivice, letting out a hum of interest before pulling out his own D-arc. Even with it's relative age, he'd had it a good while now after upgrading it from the old D-2 digivice, it was kept in good condition, the man careful about maintaining it's functions. "So, a D-arc like this is usually associated with a *Tamer*, while D-1 or D-2 are digidestined, and so on. I don't really recognize yours, but regardless of the name, digimon are partners and not to be classed as anything less than that." He explained, though Koharu might notice the tight grip he held on it before putting it away.
Leo puffed out his chest. "Yeah, I turn into Leomon, all the way up to Banchouleomon though I can't just now, too long in the real world ya know. As for Belph, he's never gotten past his rookie form since his data was damaged, so we're not sure what he might turn into." Leo shrugged. "W...well, thats not quite true." Belph interjected, his voice quiet and shy. "I used to be able to go up to grizzmon when josh was a kid, but the only time I've tried since really hurt and I turned into a porcupimon." He admitted, blushing hard.
Josh ruffled the bearmon on the head. "You'll be fine no matter what you turn into, just take your time. Now then, how about we head towards that water. Don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of tired of these ruins already."
Josh pulled out his D-arc again, using the compass and mapping features to slowly help build a layout of the route they'd been taking, He glanced around to make sure Warg, Koharu and Kon were ready to follow before he'd start walking.

"It's team specific, don't worry. I'm just pulling your legs, albeit a really lame attempt at doing so," Koharu answered. So it's not an unfounded guess of them being experienced somehow that they're indeed experienced. Warg let out a 'heh' at the excitement.
"Well that's rather cool, my Anego here was a Darkdramon."
"Not the kind that hunts BAN-TYO, don't you even start with me, Warg," Kon-chan retorted. "Well, was. Anyway, looks like we have our shares of problem, so I think for the best of our interest, let's team up." A Gryzmon and a Porcupamon though? "Interesting. I hope there will be no need for us to evolve, but considering that we're in uncharted area..."
"Yeah, that's true..."
Tired of the ruins? "Sounds like you guys has been in here for some time already. We just got pulled you see..." Koharu commented. Automapping is working, Great. She followed Josh and his two partners. "Speaking of which, what's your tale? I mean more like... how you're here? In my case, I'm pretty much just trying to get out of this place after a bit of an exploration... and the rest is you know!"
Making idle talks like this hopefully something that would be preferable.

Josh shrugged. "I've been away from the digital world for too long, they only just reached rookie again, so champion is kind of out of reach for now." He admitted, following after Elecmon as the electric digimon listened carefuly. "Can't say I've met a Darkdramon before, so why they'd be hunting a Banchou isn't really something to worry me just yet." Josh said with a chuckle, stepping to the side as Leo sent a bolt of electricity where he'd been standing.
"Just cause I'm stuck at rookie, doesn't mean I can't teach ya a lesson Josh." Leo said with a grin before turning a corner and leading the group into a large domed area, the ceiling a good four stories above them. Vines draped the walls and towards the top, everyone could see sunlight dappling the curved roof where it looked like pillars held an upper roof section even higher at the peak.
"This'll be a nice landmark, but I can't see a way we can get up here. Unless you guys have any ideas?" Josh asked, turning to the group.
Belph meanwhile was looking around the room, starting to gather dried branches and twigs from the ground. "I think we should set up camp. The light is pretty dim, and I'm worried it'll be dark soon." The young digimon said during a pause in the chat.

"Have you heard something that's called... 'origin lore'?" Kon-chan asked "While each Digimons are unique, there are a pattern that made them 'similar' to their original. Let's take example of Belphemon... although there are cases of 'Good' Belphemon, there are tendency that make them 'similar' to the Sloth Lord, either technique or behavior. I suspect it also happened for the other Digimons whose 'origin' are bigshot'.
...However, there are degree of how affected they are. In my case, Darkdramon aren't really super bigshot, or it have a legend behind it, thus the most it can give me are just dark related and gravity related abilities."
Sounds like the group also have this tendency to tease one another and get physical retaliation in return. Koharu was a bit worried, but seeing how it looked like Josh doesn't matter, well... that's fine she guess. She let the other lead while making sure her map constantly updated.
Warg meanwhile looked up at what Josh pointed out. "...Nah, bad idea. I'm not sure if my sister can climb that... and I'm pretty heavy myself to be honest. The plan is honestly to explore for an exit, or go to the heart of the ruin where most likely the heart of the mechanism is located. If we destroy it, maybe... we can get out from here without being disturbed by those veins."
Camp huh...
"Well, camping is fine, there's water and all, I guess it's good time what says you, Anego?"
"Sure, sounds fine," Koharu answered.
"I'll try to gather some dry branches for bonfire then."
Kon-chan sat beside Koharu, who seem to be still smarting from her fall... ouch ouch ouch. The teen human applied some balm to her hurting hip.

Josh nodded, "Just let me check a little down each passageway first. We're in a maze of unknown design, so I'd rather we found a little more secluded place to make camp in case theres anything dangerous that comes out at night." He said, motioning for Leo to take one path as he used his D-arc to check the other two.
Belph came over to the small group, setting down some branches as he waited for Josh and Leo to return. "Josh tends to like things being planned out. Sorry if he's being a bit bossy." The bearmon said apologetically. "He and Leo are used to looking out for people, so they tend to do it without thinking much nowadays." Belph explained before heading off to find more dry branches.
It didn't take long before Josh and Leo came back. "I think we found a good spot to set up for the night." Josh explained, pulling up the map they knew so far.
The holographic projector expanded a bit, letting them all view it at once. The dome they were in had the route they'd taken in, then a short amount of information just outside down the other three passages. Two went a lot deeper, ending in unknown areas. The third turned just out of sight of the main room and had partly collapsed, leaving a dead end where a small stream was trickling and pooling. "We figured we'd be able to relax and get some clean water. It's out of sight of any main routes and this main room." Leo said with a grin.

Does other Digivice beside D-Nexus have advanced mapping system? Koharu had no idea, but either way, she decided to trust the man. Still, she wondered if something is going to happen around here... If it's big enough should she just summon her submarine and sleep inside of it? Hmmm, choices, choices... Either way for the meantime she'll just trust it.
Koharu quickly switched the D-Nexus to its PDA mode and began typing. There's not much that she can do for now, so why don't she start looking the database for any ruins similar to this? She also need to complete the mapping as best as she could. She decided to mark the current landmark as place where they can get water.
To her surprise, someone of the other group approached her. "Oh? Well, he's not alone honestly. I have someone like that too... he's like a big brother I guess? He also love to look for another, and so this sort of treatment isn't rare to me at all, heh. I think it's best to just treat me like a newbie, although my partners are not."
And the two returned. Kon-chan looked at it and nodded. "However, what about food?" she asked. "Is there enough place there for us to cook, with enough ventillation and all that?"
