Even as the monster drove the fact that this dead weight had no hope whatsoever, he still dared to try stabbing her one final time. How did that end? Well. Something pierced the hide of the monster. Rene. But it did a minuscule amount of damage, before the BlackJesmon finally fell.
And with his death, the world around them collapsing as the form of Raguelmon finally gave way to a beaten and battered Keramon, alone within a church. "F-...Flower...?" Mae called out, only to be greeted with nothing but silence. Did she die with the illusion? Or did whatever she became kill her?
...Furthermore, why were there tears running down the Keramon's face?

The Messiah's plot was no more, but all that surrounded Mae now was the remnants of the destruction of the church... It seemed as if not a single soul was around her, but soon enough the flapping of feathery wings could be heard above. An Angewomon and Yatagaramon accompanied a decadent gold figure that would have been instantly recognizable to Mae as a Rasielmon, the trio descending down to the wreckage.
It was the Yatagaramon that took noticed Mae's frail and sobbing presence; the three legged crow briefly taking a defensive stance as he gazed to the lone Mega level. "Seer... Is this...?"
"No. This one will be saved." the archangel spoke with a voice that was stern and cold, but held a resolute will to it as the feline-esque angel walked up to the Keramon... before lifting them up in their claw-like gauntlets. They hovered their free hand over the Keramon as a soft light emanated from it... Mae's physical wounds healing rapidly away as they gently brushed the head of the viral Digimon. "Hush little one. You've fought well, and your actions have brought peace to many tortured souls. Now is the time to rest."
The Angewomon frowned somewhat, crossing their arms as they surveyed the damage done to the old church... then back to the Keramon that Seer was cradling. "Ma'am... you can't be implying that the traitor was slain by this... thing?"
"Virtue comes in unexpected ways Deliah. You should know that quite well after that Lisa incident." Seer sternly spoke as she held Mae close to her. "I ask that you keep watch of the area. Make sure any loose cores that might have survived are freed and their data transported to the Village of Beginnings for reincarnation."

Mae felt no victory from this. Sure, she avenged several tortured souls and brought them peace, but for all she knew she had been the one that killed Flower in the end, not Messiah. So absorbed was the Keramon in her thoughts that she didn't take notice of the Yatagaramon, the Angewomon, and the Rasielmon descending upon what was left of Messiah's 'hideout.'
She only was alerted to their presence when Seer lifted her up and healed her. The wounds had healed, yet exhaustion remained. "W-Who are you...?" She could only ask questions. There was no way she could offer any resistance to this trio. But the Keramon still had a right to know, did she not...?

Seer merely gently sighed as she brushed the Keramon's head with a finger, holding them gently up while her underlings went to scouting the area. "A sinner. We're all sinners, but we do what we can to repent for our sins... both past and future." she spoke in a solemn voice before creating a golden portal that shimmered in the air... stepping into it with Mae in-hand.
When the Keramon next wakes up... she'd find herself in what appears to be a waiting room to an office, a warm blanket over her body. The scent of hot cocoa could be smelled, leading to a cup of the warm liquid on a glass table by the futon Mae was stationed at. The aroma of lilacs and lotus blossoms gently filled the room.
Several painted portraits could also be seen along one of the walls... a Rasielmon smiling with a Salamon and Keramon; another depicting the same Rasielmon with two Meicoomon. A third showed the elder Rasielmon with a second one and a Raguelmon, but the fourth (and newest looking one) only had the first Rasielmon and the Raguelmon on it... their expressions more solemn than before.
A knock could be heard as a Pucchiemon opened one of the doors to the lobby, a gentle smile on the heart-motived Champion's face. "H'llo? Miss Seer believed you would be awake soon, so we wanted to check up on you."

A sinner, huh? Mae couldn't disagree with that logic, but she found it as self-deprecating as her own logic of 'I don't deserve anything nice solely because I'm a Meicoomon.' Yet this...This other Rasielmon saved her. Who was she...? The bliss of unconsciousness quickly slipped over the Keramon.
When she next awoke, she found herself at a futon in a rather cleanly room compared to where she had been some time ago. As the virus-type rubbed her eyes, she glanced along the portraits that lined the walls. Was...Was this a family of Meicoomon? One of them much like herself?
...
There was a twinge of...something nasty within Mae. Something that always came up when she saw what looked to be a happy family. Yet what happened between the third and fourth painting? The Keramon jolted upright as the Pucchiemon came in to check on her. "I-I'm fine. R-really warm, but fine." ...She sssssipped that cocoa good. "Where's L-Lady Seer...?" If that was the Rasielmon's name...

"Lady Seer is busy with paperwork regarding the state of Luminas. As one of the hundreds of Luminite representatives of the Digital World, she has been hard at work trying to repair Luminas's name." the Pucchiemon sweetly spoke, though their smile became more solemn as they huffed a pained sigh. "I just wish she could give herself some time to relax. Ever since Lady Lisa's fall, she has been working herself to the bone."
A small bellchime could be heard as one of the large doors of the lobby opened… the Rasielmon from before peeking her head in, staring directly at Mae. "... I see you're awake." she spoke in a cold tone before motioning the Keramon forward… eyes that were both gentle but tired gazing at her. "I wish to invite you into my office. Consider it an invitation at your own leisure… If you do not feel comfortable coming now, you may excuse yourself." they spoke before giving the Pucchiemon a nod.
The Champion level soon took off the blankets over Mae and proceeded to begin folding them. "Don't be scared. She may seem scary, but it's just that she's seen so much. Everything that has, what it could have been, and what may happen. She's just… very tired." she calmly spoke before leaving Mae to her devices.

Again, Mae had been a total stranger to Luminite politics, but she was more than aware of the soured reputation this place had with the rest of the world, especially after the perils of the effigies. How the Pucchiemon spoke of Seer reminded the Keramon of quite a few people she knew back at the Library, so many miles below the Skies....
Seer herself then graced the room with her presence, and invited Mae within, with Pucchiemon taking Mae's blankets off of her. "O-Oh. Um...I wasn't scared of her. Just...it's strange meeting another Rasielmon. It's like I'm staring at myself, except not...not quite. I...I know how she feels, though. My foresight goes to every one of my forms. I see everything too." She attempted to clarify. Did the Keramon wish to leave, or remain?
Well, she had been brought all this way...She should at least humor the other Ophanim. It felt as though it were a once in a lifetime chance to meet with one that wasn't herself. The Keramon would proceed forward into Seer's office, if she was allowed in.

The Pucchiemon seemed to quietly listened to Mae, their eyes darting to the side slightly as they sighed. "Maybe thats why she took an interest in you than...? That and for stopping that awful BlackJesmon... We've known it was some rogue Luminite, but figuring just who was tricky. There have been a lot of bad eggs that have made an awful mess of our home as of recently... and with the higher-ups busy with the Demon Lord crisis, help has been stretched thin."
Compared to Seer's cold, but professional appearance... you would think a saintly, future-seeing Mega level would keep a clean office. However, Mae would be greeted pretty much immediately by a room filled with clutter of all sorts... papers and files, to small pieces of ancient memorabilia that were strewn around in a disorganized fashion. Heck; a swivel chair in front of the Rasielmon's oversized desk had a box filled with what appeared to be records was actually on the seat. Seer herself had a pair of reading glasses on and appeared to be stamping out some documents with a stamp press while her other free hand was typing away at a holographic screen that had multiple grayed-out mugshots of various Digimon you'd commonly see around Luminas.
Swiping the hologram away and setting aside the stamp, Seer focused her attention on Mae and let out a calm sigh. "So you actually showed up... Great." the Rasielmon spoke with an emotionally-drained tone as she reached out for a coffee cup (having to pick it up with a single finger). After taking a brief sip, she gazed down at the Keramon. "Before anything, I merely wish to say Luminas thanks you for helping to put to rest this awful case. Maybe it was not your intentions and you were clouded by thoughts of rage... anger... Whatever your intentions were, they have done a great good to this world and peace to many tormented souls... so for that, we thank you." she droned on with a monotone voice, though their vision seemed to jitter erratically every passing second.
She soon leaned forward to look down at the Keramon, though their gaze was more... gentle. "... You've been through a dreadful lot, haven't you? Those eyes of yours... they're filled with burdens."

In all fairness, Mae would've expected Seer's office to belong to some overtly caffeinated intellectual who was more irritating to the ears than a kindly old Rasielmon that may or may not have seen far too much throughout her years. She was expecting a berating from the Ophanim, so the Keramon was quite shocked to hear that Luminas thanked her.
"I...I mostly just wanted to help Flower out...And he just killed her...I don't know what came over me, but I'm happy that all those...cores on the crosses can rest now." It was difficult to talk about this, considering how fresh the proverbial wound had been within Mae's mind. Yet, she kept her composure. She kept it all throughout that sentence, until Seer nailed something right on the nose.
"...You can see everything, can't you? I don't know if they're truly burdens or not, but...I guess I've been through some stuff. You have too, haven't you?"

The tired ophanim let out a pitiable sigh, gifting Mae a nod. "A good soul, but one who did not realize what mess she had got herself into. She should have alerted us, but she did what she felt she had to... I merely hope her next life will be one filled with less sorrow." Seer spoke, gazing off to the side... their hand idled to a stress toy, reflexively sqieezing it as she spoke. "Its a curse, is it not? To be able to see visions that you know could be put to use, but they come just a bit too soon... and always at the worst times... There is a good reason why our kind has a habit of lashing out at the world. It is when we lose hope that we can change it for the better that truly all is lost."
Pop!
The sand-filled toy popped within the angel's steeled grip like a balloon... she merely sighing as she opted to pull a wastebin from under her desk and a small brush to sweep the mess.
"... Rasielmon; we're known for our vast knowledge we draw from the very kernel of the Digital World and our nature as miracle-makers. We're mortal though, even if some try to say or prove otherwise. We may see much... but we cannot see everything. Even we have our limits, and knowing that we have those is what separates from a Fool from a Fool." the angel solemnly spoke... before gazing down at Mae. "Care... I ask your name? Have you ever heard of tarot cards?"

For literal digital years, Mae wondered what to call her visions. A gift? Certainly not. They brought her more headaches and more suffering than good. A curse? Definitely. She definitely viewed them as a burden, as a curse, as nothing good for her or anyone near her.
"Do...Do you ever lose hope, Seer?" A simple question, but a powerful one nonetheless. The Keramon fidgeted some before she was asked her name as well as another question. "Oh, um...My name's Mae. I know about tarot cards--they're often used to divine one's fortune, right? Whether it be good and bad?"
...How -would- a Rasielmon actually work in a tarot business? Do they literally predict a future and go from there with the cards?

Seer had a somewhat glazed look in her eyes, she softly nodding to Mae. "There isn't shame in being overwhelmed by the possibilities... but you only truly lose when you give up entirely. They are only possibilities... and if there is even one future you can cling your hopes to, then by all means you should." the elder Rasielmon spoke, her tone dropping some. "Even at my position... I too have lost sight of things before. The future is only really set in stone if you stop caring... The future can be changed, but the past? The past is much harder to heal."
Seer seemed to grow quiet... a look of regret on the angel's face as she shook her head as she calmed herself.
"Correct, Mae... but it is us that really carves out our paths. Take for instance the Fool arcana." Seer added to Mae's observation... the Rasielmon holding out a hand as wisps of energy flickered to life, taking on the shape of a figure with a napsack and what looked like a dog behind them... midway walking off an imaginary cliff. "The upright interpretation of the Fool is someone who sets out on their journey, looking head on to the future with positivity... for better or worse. Some may call them naive or dim-witted as they might not think ahead... but sometimes that is the key to their success." the Mega-level whispered, turning the imagery upside down. "The upside-down interpretation however is cautious and wary... More analytical of their future. While that might mean they avoid some aspects of life that may cause suffering, they will not grow like the upright Fool could."
Clasping her clawed gauntlet, the figments disappeared as she redirected her attention to Mae. "The future sight of ours is a boon if we use it properly... but it is also a curse if we fail to master it. Even now, I fail to use mine to its full-potential... I was a reverse Fool myself, but... recent events have changed my perspective." she solemnly spoke, gazing at Mae. "What I am curious is... what do you seek to do with your life, Mae? Your heart has the answer to that."

Question after question started to well up within the Keramon. "How...How do you find that future? The one to cling towards?" She inquired towards Seer. Just...how much had this Rasielmon seen that she hadn't? Mae looked to the cards, before looking up to the wisps of energy forming images.
The Fool here would represent optimism, would it not? Reversing it represented caution. The Keramon gave a few nods of her head at this knowledge, before exhaling. "...I can empathize with that. I don't know if I ever am using mine correctly, using it properly...Though, I suspect every Rasielmon uses their sight differently." She fell silent at the question. Something understandable, really. It was quite the armor piercing question.
"...I want to live. I want to know what it's like to live, to be happy. I know it sounds...weird but I've had...enough close brushes with deletion to want to continue living out of sheer spite. The people around me inspired me to do that."
Was that a good enough answer?

Seer grew quiet as she dwelled on the right words to use… The nature of time was a difficult concept to truly master, and separating past, present, and future on a personal level could be challenging. She might have been perhaps wiser than Mae, but the gap between them was not as far as the Keramon might realize. "The truth is…? You have to make that future yourself. Believe that you can create a better future than what is shown to you... even if it seems unlikely or impossible. In a way, sometimes it's better to NOT gaze ahead. Focus on now, not may or will."
Placing away the deck of tarot cards, Seer stood up and walked to the room's window , letting in some sunlight to brighten the room. One could see the imagery of Luminas's bustling, marble landscapes off in the distance… It seemed that this area was actually in the outskirts of Luminas. "Time is malleable. Everything has a cause and effect… it is the nature of miracles to defy unlikely odds so that we can shape it to our liking. Make time your servant, not the other way around."
As the Mega paused to listen to Mae's own insight in what they wanted to do in their life… Many of Luminas's inhabitants fail to realize the plights of those less fortunate, and even though Seer could not see what had shaped Mae to who she was… she could see sadness in those emerald eyes. "... What makes you happy though, Mae? Wanting to live is good and all, but surely there is something or someone that drives you to push on." she ended up asking, noting how simple their wish was. Maybe it was just her age, but she felt more could be done. "If spite towards those that tried to delete you is what solely motivates you, well… I'm unsure how successful you will be towards finding happiness. Find a purpose to that life of yours, Mae."
The sound of an old grandfather clock precariously thrown into a corner of the mess-filled room bonged with an echoing sound… Seer sighing as she pushed in her chair. "Forgive me… I do need to run, but I would like to know if you can visit me some other time in the future? I see a lot of potential from you and would like to offer assistance perhaps towards helping you master that sight of yours." she spoke to the Keramon as she offered them her hand… a very faint smile on the angel's face. "May I see you out at least?"

The Keramon waited for an answer, and when Seer had finally spoken, she twiddled her thumbs and listened closely. Like it or not, the power to create a better future was nested within her hands above all else, the same power nested within the claws of every other Rasielmon walking this city.
In a sense, Mae was in control here. Not fate. That was who she was. Of course, she...couldn't come up with an answer to the next question. What drove her...? "...I don't...think I can answer that question right now, Seer. I'm still looking for that." She replied, finally. The Keramon understood what Seer was telling her, though. "...I'd be able to, yes. And you may. Don't let me keep you, though."
