"Huhhhmmmm..."
It'd been not too long since Ophelia had made the decision to join KIZNA and to learn under Valt, after their first meeting at the training grounds on the outskirts - as well as the subsequent sparring session. Since then, Ophelia had been wandering the Eastern Timberlands some, meeting other Spadamon like herself, as well as other digimon such as the strange Dio, before ultimately coming back to Ys to visit with the team that she had joined. When she returned, she had been presented with something - a D-Nexus, they called it; a strange cross between a digivice and a cellphone... Or, at least, a simplified version of it for herself; being that she was a solo Digimon, and as such didn't need all the more digivice-y functionalities that a normal D-Nexus had.
Either way though, it was still rife with functionalities that Ophelia could barely wrap her head around, or even begin to imagine! Being that she was technically a semi-wild Digimon who had grown up far from any form of civilization or technology, this was all quite new to her; and even just trying to learn about it all was enough to entertain her for the past while! From taking photographs, to messing around on the Tamernet - Ophelia hadn't even scratched the surface of things that the D-Nexus could do, but she was still enjoying it all the same!
And so, here was little Spadamon Ophelia, lounging around in one of the mostly-empty rooms of the KIZNA base, her tail swaying side to side as she took selfies, making funny faces into the camera. She was getting better at this! At least now, she wasn't making the embarassing photos that she had accidentally posted in that one chatroom, where she was still figuring the camera out - she was actually properly in frame now! (If she was going to be honest though, it didn't feel good having to ask Ryouta for help with that...) And honestly, it was funny to see pictures of herself with goofy little expressions, peering back at her from the screen of the D-Nexus! So for now, she'd be taking silly selfies of herself, utterly bemused with her new little device.
(Just wait until she figures out apps and the internet in general!)

"MAN. All these rooms are just...empty!" A boisterous voice echoed from far off, with a slightly more timid voice (that probably would be better off not shouting) sounding off just after her. "Yes, and you can't just...claim them all! Those have purposes! C'mon!" Yeah, it turned out that the sword twins had been spending their day just...exploring the formerly underwater city that had been Ys.
It was exciting, to say the least. Far less frustrating than teaching Bu how to use Tamernet for Fuu, and far less headache inducing for Bu. Though, their exploration had gone quite...simply. They were just looking in rooms. Empty rooms. Including the one housing Ophelia! In fact, Bu promptly barged in! "Aha! Another empty one, I claim thi--..." A pause.
...That was a Spadamon. "Oh, hi, can I claim this room, please?" And right behind her was an exasperated Fuu, who was grumbling something about this not being how ANY of that worked. Oh, and she was also holding a D-Nexus. Protectively. God knows where Bu's was, though.

It had been pretty quiet before, when Ophelia had set up here. Besides maybe the occasional rare footsteps, she more or less had this room to herself - with noone to disturb her D-Nexus antics. Though, that wouldn't last for much longer, it seemed. Ophelia's ears would prick up when she heard a distant voice, echoing from down the hallway - something about something being empty? She would sit up a bit and tilt her head curiously - wondering what in the world was going on out there. Not long after, she would hear another voice - a calmer but perhaps exasperated sounding voice - as a pair of footsteps would get ever so closer...
... Until suddenly, a pair of digimon would burst into the room! "Mrrp?" Ophelia would blink - perhaps a hair startled, though she was otherwise thankful that her sensitive ears gave her a bit of a heads up. What was that about... Claiming rooms? The little Spadamon would tilt her head one way, and was about to open her mouth to speak, though Bu would speak up first - asking about, well, claiming this room. At least he asked nicely? And hey, that other one had a D-Nexus like her, too!
In any case though - the surprise and confusion would wear off not too long after, and Ophelia would be unable to grin and giggle a little at the other's antics, and sat up proper. "I mean, would I get to stay here if you claimed this room?" She'd ask, tail swaying idly in a friendly fashion. "I've been messing around with this Nexus thingy, just got it earlier today, and it's pretty damn cool, all the things it can do!" She'd remark to herself, flopping backwards onto her back, and holding her D-Nexus above her face as she scrolled thru all the photos she had taken of herself.

Ahhh, it's nice being able to get out from the stuffy study room. God know why Yuuki wanted to stay there... he's 17, nearing 18 even, which means it's near the last year of his youth! If he keep it up he'll lose hairs sooner or later! Being buried on documents like that, thinking about how to get more visitors... Geez if it's him he'll get a hell of a headache. Well, he's the subleader so he helped now and then, but Jill quickly filled in the role as secretary, thus his share of work somehow ended up only as "advisor".
....Well, it's not that he minded, but he felt a bit lonely. Still, it can't be helped. He's more to on hand experience person rather than the type that would read and approve things from writing. He's bad at discerning intents hidden in writing. Yuuki is quite good at it, that's why he acted as a leader... and that's why he's subleader by proxy, but even then...
"Haa..."
Walking down the corridor, the Dorumon managed to heard a bits of familiar voice claiming rooms... Oi oi... The fox dragon only can chuckle and shook his head, the headed to the direction of the voice. The moment Ophelia said her piece, he bopped his irrational daughter's head with rolled up papers chidingly.
"Nope, only one room for each person. It might be empty before but it'll be filled later, Bu. And hey Fuu, your sister not hearing any of your chiding huh. Sorry there young lady! Did my daughter here made you uncomfortable at all? Lessee, Ophelia was it? Welcome to the team heh. I think I haven't greeted you yet. My bad. I think I was semi busy with preparation for honeymoon and all the piling up work..."

Fuu let out her own mrrp as they were quickly confronted with an awkward situation. There was already someone in this room and they managed to pose a pretty good counterpoint to Bu's claim. Not that that was very difficult to do, mind. However, Bu actually had more than five brain cells.
Which meant she could counter the counter. This, she did with a happy grin on her face. "WELL! I guess you come with the room, so yeah, you'd be able to stay here. I got mine a bit ago and Fuu barely told me how to use the tamernet thingy." This was met with a grunt from the Dorumon. "Only took me fifty explanations..."
Hikaru himself coming into the room was met with a sigh of relief from Fuu. Maybe he'd be able to talk some sense into Bu? "Oh, hey, dad! I claimed a room and it came with a free Spadamon, she's really cool-looking!" Nope. "...Were you even paying attention to anything he just said? We can't claim this..." Fuu mumbled. That being said, she was more perceptive. Was that the same Spadamon that posted those...selfies? Well, they shared a username, from what Fuu recalled. So...Might as well say hi.
"I-it's nice to meet you in person, Miss Ophelia. Um, I'm Fuu and this numbskull is Bujin. But we call her Bu for short..."

Initially, when told that Ophelia could stick here, she grinned to Bu and flashed her a thumbsup. "Cool, I'll stick around then!" She'd chirp, tail swishing as she flipped over onto her stomach, so that she could set the D-Nexus down on the floor as she browsed thru it. She didn't even think of the notion of 'coming with the room'... Until Hikaru came along, at least. At first, when Hikaru addressed her, Ophelia would perk and sit up, grinning widely. "Nah, I'm fine, and yeah!" Her tail would perk a little and sway in her usual friendly fashion, and was about to respond to Hikaru's welcome...
... Though then Bu greeted her father, and said that the room came with a free Spadamon, and then it clicked a second. "... Wait." She mumbled a second, eyeing Bu with a hair of confusion. She was, uh, definitely puzzled at first - though given that it hadn't been too long after the blind date she had with Kitt, Ophelia couldn't help but wonder... "... Are you trying to court me or something?" She'd tilt her head a little one way, raising an eyebrow at Bu. Did she even like girls? Maybe, Ophelia never gave it much thought - though after a second of that confusion, she'd giggle a bit and mentioned "Take me out to a dinner and fight first, before ya go claiming me too, those are some damn fighting words, eheh!"
Next though was Fuu - the other sounding rather softspoken and timid to Ophelia. She noted that Fuu and Hikaru were both the same - a pair of Dorumons - though she supposed if Fuu was Hikaru's daughter too, that it'd make sense. So a family of dragon digimon, huh? Wonder who the mother was. In any case, Ophelia would grin and flash a thumbs up to Fuu as well, mentioning "Hell yeah, nice to meet y'all too - bout time I met some of my teammates!" with a rambunctious and cheery hue. She was a little preoccupied with the D-Nexus, though didn't mind setting it aside if it meant she got to meet some new folks, especially potential sparring buddies at that!

What on Earth? Hikaru shook his head again and bops her above her head again scoldingly. "Bu, seriously, that's not how it works. If you claim a room, then you only can claim one. If you go parading claiming more than one room, I'll have to confiscate the rest of the rooms that you previously cla---.... Sorry, what? A room with a Spada..."
....Did she seriously just courted the Spadamon right in front of his eyes? "...Bu, as daughter of this house you must understand that before you go around courting someone, you have to take them to a dinner and treat them, watch a movie together, give them gifts, and battle th--"... the last point was because he was kind of overlapped with Ophelia. He thankfully noticed his error fast enough to not completed the sentence. "...Well, the lady want you to fight her first. So I guess you have to fight her first... It's rather unusual to ask for battle before courting though... then again I guess each culture is different. Ahem, at any rate, if you don't do those first, I won't approve any of this courting either and will not bless it. You shall not shame our family, young lady."
Did Hikaru just played along or is he serious? Whatever the case, he looked convincing.
"Eyo, sup!" suddenly, from the other side of the hallway a white, fluffy Gaomon approached the group. He looked like a subspecies considering his gloves are not boxing one, but looked like type used by military. "Sup Dad? Bu, Fuu, what are you doing in front of someone's room?"
"Bu courted a Spadamon," Hikaru answered, smirking. "Your little sister moved fast, didn't she, Haku?"
"Woah woah, already? Come to think of it, this is Miss Ophelia's room... oh hello!" The Gaomon's field of vision finally found the Spadamon in the room. "Name's Haku, short from Hakuoro. I'm these two dragons' big brother, heh heh."

Bu didn't have the heart to admit to her dad that she had no idea what courting was. On the bright side, she at least had some idea of it now. "...Okay. I'll fight her and take her to a movie. Yeah! That actually works out pretty well." It didn't need to be stated that this just rattled Fuu's poor brain.
Were they just going along with this or were they completely serious? "...T-This family is perplexing..." The Dorumon mumbled, before turning towards Haku and waving. "Hey. It's as dad said, Bu's gone nuts and is trying to court a Spadamon she's only known for five seconds. And said courting involves a fight. Um...It's weird, please help."
She then turned to Ophelia. "I-I'm really sorry about my sister, I don't...think she knows what courting is..."

Ophelia would grin to Haku; Geez, up to 4 new digimon to meet, now! Although... He was a big brother to the two other dragon sisters? A beast digimon was pretty different from the rest of them, though; but she wasn't gonna judge or anything, just found it all interesting. "Heya!" She'd greet Haku in turn - before scratching the back of her head and giggling - "Everyone here knows my damn name, don't they?" She'd remark in a humored hue - adding "Makes things simpler, I suppose, but word must spread fuckin' fast here, haha!" Her tail swished - still the usual friendly fashion, but she was getting a little excited at the prospects of meeting so many new digimon already.
With Fuu's apology though, Ophelia would blink, before snickering a little. "Hey, it's fine; she seems like she's pretty fun to hang out with!" She'd remark, though would turn to Bu, mentioning "A fight and a movie sounds like a nice date, too!" Ophelia still ran by the idea that dates were a more casual form of courting without any sort of obligation to continue if it didn't work out; and hell, it'd be a nice way to get to know Bu. This would just be like the blind date she went on with Kitt, except that she kind of... Knew who she was dating in advance?

"Listen Fuu... your pa is a fabulous Dorumon with slight wacky tendency and moment of brief genius that also borderline dumbass. Your other pa is a Gaomon, a dorky one that at times appears on the background riding tractor, not knowing what he is doing and have tendency to do dangerous dynamic entry. Calling the family of these two husbands "perplexing" doesn't even nail it, you only barely graze it," Hikaru countered.
Haku meanwhile just laughed out loud. "Oh boy, this gotta be interesting. I'd love to stick with you on the date just to see what gonna happen, but hey, date is supposed to be private! I guess I only can tell you goodluck eh? Well, Ophelia, everyone is part of team only communication system so... words do travel fast yes!"
"Well, the girl said she's fine, so I guess I can't really stop Bu," Hikaru added. "If she have problem then I'll stop her, but seeing that the girl said 'donmai', then I'll let it be. Don't fix what's not broken... although in this case I guess broken is up to how you see it..."
"Courting? She really had no idea? Even though she attended marriage and knew what a dowry is?" Haku asked, perplexed for the first time.

"...W-Would ludicrous be more apt, then...?" Fuu mused out loud, the draconic fox's tail swishing idly through the air. "...Also, I feel like it'd be worse if the date was private." That meant that her sister's idiocy was, in fact, unbound. Untamed. Bu, meanwhile, let out a chortle at Ophelia's words.
"Yeah, I guess it does! ...Hey, I just got the best idea ever. A fight, and then a movie. That's also about fights." One couldn't really deny that Bu was...simple, at best. At least, that's what it seemed like. Fuu herself seemed relieved that Ophelia wasn't...offended at all by her raging moron of a sister.
Of course, the Ryudamon turned towards Haku, hands on her hips. "Well! I know what it is. But everyone appears to do it differently, so...At the same time, it's unknown. Like how Ophelia apparently conducts hers with fights. Which is pretty hardcore. That make sense?"

Huh- so their other parent was a Gaomon, too? Well, that explained Haku, at least; and to think of it, she could see a Dorumon passing for a beast digimon, too, in the right circumstances! All that aside, though... "Hell yeah!" Ophelia would agree with Bu - she was pretty simple herself, it didn't take much to make her happy or put her in a good mood, it seemed. Hell, learning how to use the D-Nexus had been enough to entertain her for the past while, even! "This'd actually be my second time getting to see a movie, they seem super cool!" She'd comment with a big grin, her tail swishing excitedly.
At the mention of the communication system though, she'd perk up - it seeming to click decently quickly for her. "Oh! Like with the D-Nexus thingy?" She asked, holding it up. "I haven't quite gotten around to figuring that out yet, though I think I got a hang of the tame-net thing now!" She'd remark with a somewhat sheepish giggle, thinking back to the trouble she had been having with it before. Ahhh, they probably didn't need to know about THAT.
All in all though, when Bu commented on Ophelia conducting her courting with fights being hardcore, she'd grin a bit. "Hey, if I'm gonna ever have a partner, I want one that can be a fun sparring buddy too! Like how my mom n' dad met thru a good fight!" She'd chirp happily, thinking back to that old story her dad had once told about how he and mom met, before adding "And I think you can tell a lot about a person from how they fight, really."

"Well then Fuu, how about you go with her? If you need a chaperone, perhaps Jill would pitch in?" Hikaru answered. Still, that's something... to watch movies about fight then fight yourself. That's almost like... "that's almost like two people watching Bruce Lee movie before actually going to kung fu fight just to check who could top the other with the best replication of the moves."
If Yuuki is here he'd probably tsukkomi him so hard, but now the dumbassery and nerdiness of the father is released to the public without any brake.
Haku nodded at Ophelia's question, a bit too animatedly perhaps. "Yepyep, we sent miniature version with less functions to the public, mostly for the town's social networking service. It's still not widespread though. We're thinking whether to make them portable or landlined. Tamernet is a bit... how to say, generalized? It's for public use, but in case for ours it'll be privately only for this town."
to Bu's question, Haku just chuckled. "Sis, there are actually a lot of tribal Digimons that asking you to fight before courting. You can't exactly want to date someone who's totally a weakling in that sort of society. You'd have to drag a deadweight of a lover... That's not what they want honestly. It's as Miss Ophelia said though... everyone fights in one way or another, but their true character came out when they fight..."
"I think the wise word wasn't like that" Hikaru commented.

"Hah, really? I...think it might be our third. Fuu likes comedies and stuff, though. So we don't really watch much fight-y stuff." Little did the dragon know, that Fuu could definitely appreciate some of the more...fight-y cinema masterpieces in the world. At the very least, Bu and Ophelia seemed to be getting on well. "...W-Why would I accompany her on a date? Like, shouldn't that be something private? Or...Um....Nevermind that."
Bonding was just about all she could ask from the Ryudamon and the Spadamon. However, her dad was...being embarrassing.
"Anyways....We've been...having our own set of issues with the D-Nexus, though...Ah. It's mostly just Bu not being able to understand technology and me having to help her. Other than that, they work just fine. Here's hoping that the rest of the town takes to them well..." The fox, though quiet, seemed a little proud of her inability to be technologically illiterate.
Bu glanced to Haku. "Well, yeah. I was told such way back when at the Village. Honestly, you need to have a bit of a backbone nowadays to be a good partner, and fighting is, as Ophelia stated, one of the best ways to get to know someone. So, I like it. I don't know how wise it is, true. But, I ain't that wise either way! I just like it!"

Ophelia would hum a second, folding her arms behind her head in a casual fashion. "I wouldn't mind you coming with, you're a sibling - so it makes sense!" She'd chirp - apparently dates were supposed to be a private-ish thing? She was still learning, so it was hard to say. "Though yeah, I went with a friend out to a movie for this one event in Rosewood, and we got to see The 'Mon with the Silver Hand! It was really cool!" She could still remember that exciting fight sequence at the end, and couldn't help but mime out a few of the moves at the air with a big, playful grin on her face.
"Ah, yeah, I dunno how to use technology either, to be honest!" Ophelia laughed a bit, sounding sheepish, though it was a little bit of a sore spot that she was having such trouble picking it up... She still felt iffy over having had to ask Ryouta for help with the tamernet stuff, even now! "I grew up out in the mountains - Terabyte Mountains - so I never got to see much technology! Was just me, my siblings, n' my mom and dad up there!" She'd explain nonetheless, seeming maybe a little wistful as she wondered how her family was doing back home. Did they miss her? Were Cassie and Laertes handling themselves alright? Maybe she should visit them sometime...
Nonetheless though, Ophelia would frown a little at the mention of 'weakling' or 'deadbeat'. It seemed her positive mood drained... Pretty quickly, actually, at that - it seemed that was another sore spot... She'd scratch the back of her neck a bit as she mentioned "I mean... We're all still growing, yeah...?" a bit awkwardly - "I just would like someone who's fun to fight, even if they're not as strong as or stronger than me..."
