The Folder Desert. Next to the Network Plains, this was the best place in the Digital World to be if you wanted to find large, unoccupied spaces of land. It was common for tamers and their Digimon to head out to these places to practice without fear of collateral damage, and today was no different. Late enough in the evening that the sun wasn't scorching the top of her back, a Renamon knelt down, idly letting her hand run atop the rough, caked surface beneath them.
"It's been a while since we've done one of these." The fox sighed, standing upright, cracking her back as she stretched. "Surprised you ain't just having us train underground again."
"It's not like you can really cut loose down there." Several yards away, sitting on top of a small sand dune, Denryu flipped through a few chips, considering their options. It had been a while since the entire team was back together - less a Bakemon, plus a Reppamon - so this was a good chance to get the rust off. "We'll start off with megas. Assume stance for 'Raider'."
"Roger." As she spoke, she stretched her right arm out, just as Denryu loaded three chips into the Xros Loader. Her data signal spiked outward, effectively warp-digivolving from rookie to mega on the spot! The data wrapped around her arms and her back - as it disbanded, she was wielding a scimitar in her right hand, a buckler on her left arm, and a set of armor around her shoulders that transitioned smoothly to the engine - a jetpack - strapped to her back. "Connection's fine. Falcon, test?"
Confirmed. A small spurt of flame cleanly shot down, singing the ground below, as the fox flicked the blade around once in her hand. "Hard to picture how to use these without a target, though. Maybe we should have invited the doc?"
"Like you would have been able to focus against Dagger." The blade buzzed, Angel staring cross at it for a moment. "Just shadow for now," Denryu advised. "All we're doing is making sure our output is the same."
"Yes, sir." Rolling her eyes once, she tightened her grip around that blade, electricity pouring through the weapon, as she swung towards an unseen target.
Simple practice, performed responsibly in a remote location. If it wasn't Denryu, most wouldn't have even batted an eye...
