"Mhm! Your mom's mega form - well, one of them - is a Raguelmon, and though you have your own tricks, you more-or-less got your lightning affinity from ma's form."
So, in that respect, Holly wouldn't be left out! As he continued to work on the set-up, his ear flicked at Holly's comment, giving a nod towards her. "I'll help with whatever you want to do, Holly. You might be learning fast, but there's still a bit of learning you need to do from us - Syre and Siris are the same for that, naturally." Sheesh, but they were all growing as fast as weeds! Holding that thought to himself for a moment, Mikemon soon got that workstation set-up, and with the clone vanished, he gave a nod to Holly.
"Don't be afraid to ask for help. Now, I've not done too much with masonry, but either Stingmon or myself can help you out if you're having particular trouble with anything. But," he smirked, "you've got a lot of rock to work with here, so don't be afraid to experiment."
With that - and one returned hug, practically scooped into the MeiCrackmon's arms - the dad would soon make his way back inside, to his office. He could keep an occasional eye on Holly through his office window, but for now, Holly was largely on her own!

"Ma has multiple Mega forms? How did she manage that?! Do you have multiple? I... suppose that makes sense I'd get that from her. Wonder what else I might of gotten from her... If anything!"
Holly let out a small giggle and just shook her head; one thing was good enough she didn't need multiple things from either parent. She was happy with the both of them just being around and her able to interact with them. She'd consider what her Da said in regards to... well everything! He was being very supportive and she had to say that she was pretty happy with that. Though she had to wonder if that would bother him during his own work.
"I'll have to take you up on that Da! There's a lot that I wanna learn still and well... stuff that I don't know about that you do. If you say there's more that I need to learn from you and ma I'm okay with that!"
The meicrackmon smiled a bit and then blinked when he addressed that she shouldn't be afraid to ask for help and the fact that he hadn't done much with masonry. The meicrackmon tapped at her lips thoughtfully; there had to be a book about it somewhere in the library right? Maybe that could be of use!
"I could look up some tips or tricks about masonry from the library? They could have some volumes about it. I won't be afraid to ask for help! I do yes, hopefully it doesn't go to waste"
The meicrackmon snickered softly and went about to her work after that hug. She'd tend to the jade, splitting it apart as best she could. Taking breaks here or there while inspecting her rock. It was something that she would have to work on quite a bit wouldn't she? It'd take her a while to even split things apart, it'd be slow going but she didn't mind.
Every so often she could feel eyes on her and she knew that for a fact that it was likely her Da or her Ma. Maybe even one of her siblings wondering what she was doing. It took the better part of the day for her to even get to the portion where she would start working on getting them sanded down. Though this one she seemed a little jittery with.
Eventually she'd deign to take a bit longer of a break, turning over a particularly sizable chunk of jade that she was trying to formulate how to get started on it. Over here? Over there maybe? Twisting and turning it in her hands she'd lean against the work bench. The meicrackmon herself was practically glowing with the effort she had been putting in.
"Maybe this one could be a larger one? It's closer to a pool ball than a marble..."

"Mhm, your ma has a few. I only have one, though - its not the most common thing in the world." K's condition was unique, to say the very least. As for what else she got, who knows? K's kindness, Mikemon's potential intelligence, or just a good mix of their personality?
The cat shot her a smirk as she mentioned that she wanted to learn from him! For now, though, the Meicrackmon needed time to practice and figure out just how to use the material presented to her. "The Library's open to you, and there might be a book or two that could help - though you might have more luck with the texts in my office?"
That aside, he left Holly to her work. He'd occasionally give a look out from the window, and he'd certainly see her whenever she grabbed a book or needed a break or a snack. But for that day, and even half of the next, he'd largely just leave her to it - creating whatever set of rocks or marbles that she could manage out of that low-quality jade. Would she have tried imbuing a few? Would that even go well? Just before lunch of the following day, he'd walk on out, stretching his arms in a comfortable yawn:
"Ah... morning, Holly..." He'd peer over at the table. "Any luck?"

"Huh... that's... Well okay that makes sense. She is something isn't she?"
Holly didn't really know the extent of her words, she didn't know just how much k was or what she did. She only knew snippets and knew that she led a group of knights. She knew they were big damn heroes and that they would be there in times of need... but. She was pretty sure that wasn't something she could do if she even wanted to.
"I'll send a clone to do reading over the tomes I missed, while doing this might benefit me greatly."
She'd snap her finger and a clone would appear as suddenly as it vanished looking a mix of surprised and cheerful. It'd grin at mikemon before teasing a tongue outwards to him. She liked using her clones for multitasking purposes and it went to show that she was already multitasking here.
And work holly would, she grew more and more invested, more energy expended and she could feel the pulsing vibrations of the jade to her body with every pure swipe she made. Each marbel that she made resonated with her slowly; the few that managed to link to her glowed with a soft light, soft intelligence that yearned for more. Every so often she would stop, staring at her work with a hazy sort of look in her eye as she continued onwards.
Three.
Three perfect marbles, that glistened in the early morning dew. Three perfect marbles that barely touched the workbench, but still she worked. Still she worked on the fourth, slowly working through it, the several others that she had failed on lay off to the side. A few cracked, a few broken, one that wept bloody data... She'd stop and turn her head to stare at her da unrecognizably for a few moments.
"Three of them are... are ready. I can feel them but in a sorta weird way?... the fourth one is... shaping up and the rest are broken or battered. Not worth the material made."
She'd pause and rub at her head as she felt another clone vanish, the information from some book filling into her head. Frowning slightly she'd tap at the fourth with a finger before sighing sweetly.
"A thousand miles I've yet to walk, but the first few steps I've made."
She'd lean down and continue sanding at the marble, mumbling under her breath. There was quite a bit of jade that had worked it's way in her fur and it was practically pulsating with energy. But it seemed to be resonating strongly with her body. Small white flakes of energy working off of her body here or there....

Three perfect, meticulous marbles.
This was the effort of the Meicrackmon's practice and research over the past day - and it wasn't just as simple as cutting and polishing the stone, but imbuing her data with it as well. Mikemon could already see, and even feel, the progress that Holly had made, the cat even picking up the one that seemed to be sparking and leaking data. "Well, of course they're worth it, Holly. Every mistake made's an effort that helped shape the three on the table."
He gave a smirk, even setting that broken one back down on the table, looking on as Holly continued to work on that fourth marble. Indeed, she had worked through jade most of yesterday and even all throughout the morning - her arms were stained a fine shade of green, particularly around her fingers, to the point where it had started working into her fur. It might have been attuned to Holly's data, but even so:
"I have to ask, how often have you been brushing out your fur?" The doctor tilted his head. "You have a case of the green hands there, miss!"

Holly was surprised that she honestly made as much progress in one night as she had, there were some set backs but they felt minor to her. She'd exhale slowly and bring her hands away from this fourth marble. She stare at it for a few moments and then just lean on the workbench, not really realizing just how long she had been working.
"They're just right I uh... think. But yeah that's.. that's how life works ussually right?"
Sure it was a simple theory or whatever, or just a few words. But they didn't seem to fully register as a statement you could live your life around. Then of course he asked a question that made her blink, stop and then look down at her hands. They were green from all the shavings, dust and such that had worked it's way into her fur.
"I... haven't been Da I've just been working on the marbles..."
The meicrackmon buried the lower part of her face into her chest fluff while staring at her Da. She felt like she was about to get scolded or that she should of been making an active effort to do so. It made more sense to her that she should clean it off once she was done. But it was feeling like she was almost done here at least with the fourth marble.
"S-should I be cleaning more often?"
The meicrackmon ran her fingers over the fourth marble, she felt it was mostly smooth. Almost done, just... something was missing? Somewhere perhaps. She'd furrow her brow a little bit squeezing and then letting out a somewhat frustrated grumble as the marble split cleanly in half. This marble was weak in comparison to the others, perhaps it had a shear she missed or something else but it just... well with most of it sanded away the weakness was made apparent.
"Aw fiddlesticks..."
While the meicrackmon investigated that last marble, noticeably those small white flakes of energy were more common around the edges of her extremities that weren't currently being worked with. Her ankles, her tail, her tendrils... even her ears! Her body was resonating with the jade, but what else was this causing?

"Mm..."
She hadn't cleaned it out of her fur at all? Mikemon tilted his head, looking on at those green-coated hands again. The dust at this point had spread a good distance up her arm, and even down her legs - probably from the MeiCrackmon trying to dust off the table for the next set. Of course, Mikemon gave a common-sense answer: "There's little point while you're still getting your hands dirty, but when you come in for the night I want you to take a nice long shower. Its very easy for that dirt to get caked in there and cause your skin to itch."
Lecture aside, Mikemon's ear flicked as that fourth marble split right down the middle. Indeed, it was most likely due to a shear that she had missed up to this point - but at least Holly was taking it rather well! "That'll happen with that quality of rock, unfortunately - hm?" He was soon distracted by something else, a data signal that was dancing around the MeiCrackmon's frame. Interesting - was this left over from when she tried to imbue the rocks?
Actually, he meant to ask about that from the start! "So, the three you finished - have you tried to imbue them with your own data, at all? How did they respond?"

Holly felt a touch bad for not cleaning herself, if she had just kept it easy maybe she wouldn't of had to take a long shower. Then again going in and out of the library just to clean herself probably wouldn't of worked so well. She'd look herself over, blinking owlishly for a bit before simply nodding her head.
"A long shower sounds really nice... Though I'll need to be thorough in my wash... might have to take one or two to get everything."
Holly didn't mind the lecturing, it helped her understand more and more. She liked getting told what to do and how to handle things, how to approach stuff. It's how she learned! Holly herself counted out the failed marbles to the complete ones feeling rather proud. The first one that hadn't split had been the fourth marble.
"I suppose yes, I hope it'll be less common with the next step?"
The meicrackmon blinked owlishly at her da's sudden cut off tilting her head a little and then looking herself over. She noted those small white flakes of energy and couldn't help but gently poke at it. It would shimmer and simply continue it's way around her extremities.
"The first one I was able to imbue with a little bit of myself, I can hear it singing from time to time. The other two... they. They were imbued with my data while I was working somehow. I think that's what led to this stuff. I didn't... well. The first one I tried really hard and put a lot of effort into it so I guess that's why I can 'hear' it better?"
It was hard to explain but she'd manage out another little sigh before leaning against the work-bench. She felt a little light headed and could feel her body aching from standing in one position for so long.
"Wooah..."

"Don't worry, I got a good shampoo for this sort of stuff."
Working in the medical field, Mikemon was no stranger to more extreme messes - by comparison, a bit of rock dust was relatively tame! Holly took it well enough in stride, too, even as another marble simply snapped in front of her. "Mhm, that second lot will only split because of your own mistakes. It will get easier, but be just as cautious as you're being now!"
He had faith in her, of course - that was just an important point to drill home! More curious, though, was how the rocks were currently responding to the MeiCrackmon's data. So she intentionally imbued the first, but the other two were accidental? Making sure Holly had her balance as she stood up, Mikemon gave a blink, looking towards the marbles, then back to Holly.
"Hm... curious. Try, um, 'using' them."

"Good or else this would take a few hours to clean out!"
Holly let out a loose chuckle and simply shook her head. She wasn't really aware of just how much her da had done or her ma for that matter. So she couldn't really understand why he would have something on hand, she knew he was a doctor but she didn't know what extreme he was. She wasn't bothered by the marble snapping or being incomplete, it just meant that she had to pay more attention further still and she would be okay with that.
"I think maybe if I take my time with those ones, a little longer than I was with these uhm... they'll turn out better? I mean I used all that stuff over night so maybe there was a bit of rushing..."
Rushing? More like she zoomed through most of the work, hell there was very little left of that block she hadn't used! The shavings that she had all throughout her fur made her realize just how much she had wasted. She'd brush her hands through her fur with a soft tut before looking to her Da as he addressed her. Using the marbles? Furrowing her brow slightly the meicrackmon would lean a bit. Concentrating, trying to feel that sing song voice that had come before.
Shakily almost as though through a great effort the marbles lifted quietly off of the work bench. Though the other two that were less imbued either snapped from pressure or simply stopped 'lifting' themselves while the one that she had attempted to imbue on her own was pulsing with a gentle green light. She didn't know what to do with this thing other than reach out with one hand. Softly tapping against it; with a painful gasp she'd jerk her hand backwards as it felt hot to her!
"I can hear it singing but... it doesn't know what to do with it?"
She looked somewhat concerned as that one marble just floated there, getting hotter and hotter. There was a low thrumming in the air that even mikemon could hear as it seemed to be charging up energy for.. something? Though holly herself nervously took a few steps back as it started to get a little hotter than it should around that marble...

Well, wasn't part of being a doctor being as sterile as possible?
That aside, it was impressive to see just how much Holly had improved over just a day on this project, even going as far as to use almost the entire block to practice - and coming up with what seemed to be three workable marbles! The next natural step was to test them, and as the MeiCrackmon focused her data? Well...
As expected, one snapped and another rolled off the table, nowhere near attuned enough to withstand that sort of treatment. The 'complete' marble, though, seemed to hold on for a while longer, pulsed with a green light as it suspended over the table. And honestly, Mikemon was impressed... and reasonably concerned, for a separate reason.
"Well, you've done a great job creating a construct that can hold that much data... but..." The cat raised his paw, crystal ball in hand, creating a lattice structure to create a familiar disc-shaped shield.
"It's going to explode."

Holly shifted nervously, staring at the glowing marble. She'd quietly pick up one of the ones that had failed to really do anything. She wasn't exactly sure what to make out of the failed attempts. Their voices to her had been so soft, something that she could barely understand or even gauge in terms of what they were saying. Whilst the one that was glowing and hovering off of the workbench was singing so loudly at least to her. The thrumming that it was making however made her fur raise slightly.
"Somethings off... Maybe I put too much in?"
The meicrackmon leaned slightly, inspecting her handiwork for a moment before gritting her teeth as her Da brought forward that crystal ball in a protective maneuver. Sure that would protect him... but what about all the tools? The workbench? Holly would of rushed forward but rather than risk it detonating while still in her hand she'd drop down to meicoomon while she dove for cover behind the mikemon's shield.
Not even a few moments later did that singing stop and the thrumming turned into a single hearty pulse! The single pulse was quickly followed by the proper explosion that sent the jade chunks every which way even peppering the shield that mikemon had placed up with the chunks.
"Too much... probably a good amount if we were in a higher grade but would it be enough to work in... maybe because I didn't know what I wanted from it it didn't know what to do with the energy? Or maybe I should of directed it in some fashion?"

What of the bench, the tools?
Honestly, that didn't matter - they could be replaced! As Holly made her way back behind the shield, he would look on as the light in that jade reached a peak - and sent out sharp fragments in every direction. A few bounced against the shield, but most embedded themselves like spikes against the wood and the mud around them. There were a few that pierced the service door of the Library, but really, aside from a loud noise, there wasn't any important damage.
"Well... I'd say most of it is a lack of attention to 'focus' as to how you wanted to use the enchantment." Considering that for a moment longer, he gave a nod, before dispelling his shield. "You more-or-less have an idea of how to cut the gems at this point, so here's what I want you to do: clean up, give your data time to rest, and get your mind working on something else for a while. Go fish, go play a game with Siris, or something. You can get back to this tomorrow."
In the meantime, well, he had to go fix the damage! "I know you probably want to get right back at it, but trust me, a step back will do you a world of good!"

Holly let out an explosive sigh as she saw the jade marble reach it's peak; flinching visibly as the fragments went every which way. Bouncing against the shield, embedding themselves into the wood and mud... Then that service door of the library getting slightly damage.
As much progress as she had made, she couldn't help but feel like she had taken a step or two back. She'd rub at her cheek softly, considering what was in front of her. The shrapnel of the lowest quality jade still spoke to her for a few moments before that sing song voice faded entirely. She'd sigh and lean down to pick up one of the spikes, wincing a bit as it was quite hot and the meicrackmon deigned to leave it be for the moment.
"So I need to figure out what I want it to do before making more of them... but I'd say largely the first step of this experiment has been a success. Learning how to shape it the way I want, dealing with the shears... Oh and imbuing it with my Data, passively and actively. Though I need a lot more practice on that latter one..."
Holly flicked her ears as her Da spoke to her about what she was to do. She was to clean up, rest and get her mind working on something else! She'd blink a bit and consider what she could do. She could get back to this tomorrow yes but... Fishing sounded really good right now. Something that she could relax while doing.
"I think I'll go fishing. See if I can find a good spot nearby... It's been a while since I have!"
The meicrackmon paused however when he addressed the fact that she probably wanted to get right back to it. But she needed to unwind a little bit and after that she needed to sleep too!
"I do want to get back to it, but there's some things I need to think about too before doing so. Along with some other stuff... I also need to do my chores and see about some of those schools."
Holly stretched a bit and turned to look up at the library before looking down at herself. She was still covered in the jade stuff and the meicrackmon frowned slightly before glancing back at her Da.
"Thanks for helping me get started Da."

Indeed, Holly made a lot of progress - but the current way she was going, she was sure to hit a wall. After all, there was only so much inspiration one could get from smoothing stone - she didn't even have an idea of what she wanted to do with the Jade yet!
"Mm. We'll pick up on this tomorrow. For now, go take your break... and later, I want you to help mom with cooking. She's had more responsibility with the Knights, so we're all going to be pitching in just a bit more, alright?" Giving a smirk to the cat, he put a paw on the Meicoomon's shoulder as he'd walk on by.
"I'll have Stingmon loan you his lure again." It wouldn't just be one day off, but it would also be a full day after that! That much, unfortunately, couldn't be helped: Mikemon had to get replacement equipment for what was destroyed in the accident, and on top of that, he had to do a medical run to take care of a few cases that had cropped up in the crowded city of Rosewood.
It would be on the next clear morning, after Holly had time to sleep and think about what she wanted the jade to do - and yes, Mikemon made her get two full nights of sleep, the monster! Setting the table back into place, the doctor would give a hum, a small smile perking on the edge of his lips.
"Alright... before we move onto the next grade," Mikemon turned to face the cat, "You have an idea of what you want the gem to do, yet?"
