"Wow, that's really far from Japan, woah..." Nereid was shocked, the human world was more huge than she had anticipated it to be. Beyond that? They had no real solution for this issue. Unless... "Hey, um...Maybe I could act as a translator? I know you want to go home, and...I wanna help you. I know I maybe shouldn't, but..."
Okay, maybe she should wait for the guy to finish letting his emotions out. If he ever did. "...Just take a few deep breaths. We'll figure this all out, no matter how long it takes. Just..." A pause. "Hey. Look at us. We're here for you. I might not know you that well but we're here, okay?"

"Would take you about three years... two years if you're serious." But before he could say anything to that, Freya would put her finger on his lips. "...Listen very carefully now. If you panic then you lose. Oneesan here only can help as much as you can help yourself. Embassy worker in Japanese should know about the fact how you digitally transported... They're professional. Let me remind you; your case is not the only one. Therefore, you should calm down. Panicking, while understandable, is unsightly. Yes, this situation is rare, yes the world is scary, but at the moment you're with allies. However if you keep panicking, then unfortunately I can't do anything for you."
"Freya... that's... harsh," Karin muttered.
"I'm sorry, but I really can't. My solutions are only for those who... want to stay and work their way out from inside out... To offer someone a shelter in our apartment is obviously not a good idea. You have a boyfriend, that could be perceived really wrongly."
'That's... true..." Karin scratched her cheek. She definitely isn't comfortable with someone else living in her apartment. Even Freya alone raised the tension in her quite a bit but... she learned to accept her... but even so, this... she cannot really shelters someone in her house.
"Don't get me wrong, I really want to help you. You said you want to go home? So..." Freya this time held Andy's hands and gave it a gentle squeeze. "...Listen very carefully to Oneesan, alright? First... This is Digital World... time moves in speed of seven times faster in this place compared to back home... Relatively, everything is the same. You got hungry, you need all that biological stuff... time flows at speed of normal... only you doesn't age as fast. Because your age follows Earth's. This means you can stay here for seven years and only a year will pass in the other world. You understand what I mean?
It'll take a while over here until your parents smelled something fishy with your activity. You can make up excuses... let's say you need three years to learn Japanese, or maybe less. So let's say you need about five months and some spare to fully learn the language and writing system... that's not too long over there. I understand the time dilation can make someone crazy because for another person it's just a year, but for you it's seven... but take it positively. Please.
If we go to the embassy later, we can get you temporary working visa, until you have enough to fund your way back home. The idea of hiring a translator also work, at least for the process of obtaining a visa and passport. Should you stay here, I can introduce you to some people who can help you with your housing. They're all nice people, and you'll be safe in that city. You won't be attacked, you can learn Japanese as you work part time in this world...
Eventually you'll come home, safely. I'll ensure that to you.
If you're willing to take my offer, then I'll all my support to you. Unfortunately I have no other suggestions for you. I don't know if you have a Digivice... do you have one? Try to look for any item that's not with you previously in real world. If you have that then we'll talk about next topic."
Karin only can look at Freya silently. She... as expected, too experienced in this. This is perhaps not the first time she is partnered.

It wasn't really harsh, Freya's words - more... Realistic. And though they stung a little - particularly the bit about his panic being unsightly - he couldn't deny that everything else that she had said was right. Still, his emotions were running high, and he already had bottled up a lot of stress and anxiety in trying to find a way home on his own, before he ran into these three - in having accidentally ran into that Gizamon before. Much as Nereid thought, he needed a minute to just sort himself out - but the kind words and encouragement helped nonetheless. At Freya's hand squeeze and Nereid's instruction to take a few deep breaths, Andrei slowly nodded - his breath shuddering as he took in a shaky breath. He couldn't help a small sniffle, a small hiccup, as he began to calm - though the tears trailed down his cheeks regardless. The contact though, the contact seemed to help - he'd squeeze Freya's hands back as he began to slowly, but surely, calm. "T-thank you..." He murmured softly, voice shaky, under his breath. His eyes were still wet and red, but he wasn't panicking as badly. He could... He had options. The time thing was a little bit beyond him, though he at least understood that time here didn't flow the same way it did in Earth. Slowly, he'd nod to himself in understanding - this all... Well... It was all a bit much for him - it'd probably take some time before he could settle into any sort of routine for this. But at least Freya advising himself like this helped, in sorting out the panic and chaos in his head. Sniffling a little, he'd let go of one of Freya's hands to wipe at his eyes - before letting out a shaky sigh. "I... uhm..." He'd mumble at first - trying to find his words - before he would ask "Would... Would I be able to possibly wait for one of those... Rift things to open up, again, too?" Andrei glanced downriver - in the direction he came from. "I... I saw the rift I fell through for a second, before it closed up... Is it possible that I could, maybe, wait for it to open back up? Go back home that way...?"At the mention of a digivice though, Andrei would blink a bit in puzzlement - not particularly sure what that meant. At her instruction though, Andrei would indeed begin looking himself over - checking and feeling thru his bag, and then his pockets. Camcorder, no... That digital camera shoved to the bottom of his bag, a water flask, that can of Bigfoot repellent, no - these were all familiar... There was the key ring hanging from the side of his bag - that was, of course, familiar too, with the keys to his apartment and car, and with those little laser pointers/mini flashlights... Next was his pockets - smartphone, his pocketknife - his dad always talked about keeping it close on him whenever he went hiking - and... ... Wait... This... This was different. Slowly, Andrei would pull something out of his pocket - a device that seemed to fit quite comfortably in his hand. The plastic covering of it was a bright near-cyan blue, and the buttons and grip were a teal - almost like a dark seafoam-green - color. It seemed to be off, right now - though Andrei didn't feel completely comfortable pressing buttons wily-nily to turn it on quite yet, not until Freya gave him the say-so to do something. This certainly wasn't something he recalled having a minute ago, though - he'd roll it between his hands, looking it over, before showing it to Freya. "Is... Is this it?" He'd question softly - sounding a lot calmer now, having had the time to compose himself, but.. He was sure as hell confused over what this was - even if this was the digivice that Freya mentioned. A hand would reach up to rub at his temple as he looked the strange device over - to stave off the headache from his breakdown before.

"Mmmm...If you need a place to stay, I could take you to the Library, too. The people there are super nice, and they do SCIENCE." Nereid decided to chime in with her own suggestions for aiding this poor, poor guy from...What was it, Louisiana? The little mermaid that was a clam did know more she could add. "Oh, there's Digimon that can pass through those rifts at Terminus. It's located dead-center of this world."
Nereid took a small breath to figure out what else she could add here. "Hmm...Honestly, she has the right idea. Or an actual plan, at least. I just have...bits and bits of information I can feed you with. Field questions. Also...That's a really cute Digivice. It looks like that form I took earlier." Nereid gave a smile, before leaning back in her chair. "So, what do we do now?"

Freya shook her head negative. "Best not to depend on such portals that randomly appeared in this place. We won't know where you will end up... you could have ends up somewhere in Argentina, maybe in Sahara, or maybe even outright another digital world. This will be a bit of a headache, but Digital World isn't the sole one... I don't believe so. There are tons other out there. Digital World exist within Quantum Sea, and this Digital World is isolated, although not fully so from the other Digital World.
One slip through a wrong portal could leads you returning to wrong point of time, space, and possibility. You could have ended anywhere, and honestly? You did right in not entering it. Or at least in my opinion. Because at least that way we can get you back home."
Thankfully the guy have a Digivice. Freya smiled and nodded. "Yes, that's a proof that you're chosen then. You should be fine... we just have to look for your partner now... that Digivice models belongs to those who are destined to be partnered to a Digimon, just like Karin-chan and me. However, where are they I have no idea. Mainly because they could be on the other side of the Digital World, or they're nearby. Usually the Digivice would lead you to them, but... that's not usually the case.
...Well... what to do now is to get you to safety now. What do you want to do for now? Looking for your partner... or get back to the town first?"

So taking that same rift back would probably be pretty dangerous, from the sounds of things. Andrei couldn't help but sweat a little at the different possibilities of where such a thing might've taken him; be it to another random part of the world where he'd be just as lost, or even to a whole other digital world entirely?! That uhh.... That was a bit much for him to wrap his head around right now - but he was glad that he at least was in the digital world where he had people trying to help him figure this all out. Freya wasn't kidding about this being a bit of a headache... Nonetheless, he'd nod in understanding - scratching the back of his neck in a nervous fashion, though he was visibly calming down.
There were digimon at Terminus who could possibly pass thru rifts at... A place called Terminus, wherever that was, too? He supposed that was good to know - and the Library seemed like it'd be a good place to stay and learn Japanese, too. He'd quietly nod to Nereid, offering her a small smile - flustering a hair at his digivice being called cute. "Ah... thank you," He murmured sheepishly, smiling a bit wider, and rubbing his thumb over the ridges of said device's grip as an idle action; just keeping his hands busy to ground himself. The clam lady was nice...
But then there was also the meaning of the Digivice; that he had a partner out there, possibly waiting for him... Overall, Andrei wasn't sure what to make of that - that he might have a digimon like Freya, who he was meant to meet... At the question of what to now, he felt as though there was an obligation to find this partner - even if he didn't completely understand anything, but... "... I don't really get everything that's going on, but I kind of... Want to find this partner, whoever and wherever they are... But I also don't know where I'd start..." He'd murmur faintly, adding "And I kind of want to find someplace safe, too; someplace I can, well..." He glanced down to his muddy clothes. "... Clean up, n whatnot... Sort out my thoughts; this is all a bit much for me."

Nereid kind of felt her brain exit her body figuratively as Freya spouted out some stuff about other Digital Worlds. This was a bit too much for the fragile young shipping mind. Thankfully she managed to get a grip on what was going on swiftly enough to concur. "Yep! There's a digimon somewhere out there that needs that thingamadoo. At least, that's how my mom described it." She nodnodded.
"But, safety is obviously the biggest priority here, so I say we go towards town and figure out where to go from there. I can't imagine finding your partner's very easy when you know naught of what they are, but...Maybe they'll come to you? Who knows?" The Syakomon was raring to get moving either way, there was so much more to see in the world!

"Well then I guess the best case to do at this point is to go to the nearest settlement first, as told by this kind Syakomon lady, yes? Ah, looks like we forgot to introduce ourselves though. How embarrassing. My name is Freya, and over here is my partner..."
"Karin," the girl curtly introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you two. Ah, because I don't think I can keep the holosuit and fighting, I best take this off."
With a press of a button, the Floramon reappeared. "Karin-chan, how far are we to... hmmm... I guess nearest Trailmon Terminal?"
"Apparently the map said just as we get out from here there will be one... however... there are no data about this place... this is like the dungeon where you have to walk to automap I guess..."
"...Dear me... well I guess we'll do that. Shall we, you two? Don't worry about muds, I can create path for us... well as long as the trees doesn't mind that is."

Andrei couldn't help but agree with the others; it probably was best to go to town, get to safety... He could always start from there to look for his partner, he was sure; even if he did feel like he should go looking for them, if they were waiting for him. At Nereid's question of 'who knows', he'd smile faintly and nod with a chuckle - "Yeah, you're right... Maybe they'll be looking for me, too..."
Either way though, he would perk a bit as Freya and Karin introduced themselves; and he realized that he never did introduce himself, either! "Oh, I'm uh - Andrei!" He'd introduce himself with a wider smile - offering a hand to shake hands with Freya and Karin. "It's nice to meet you two; I'm... Sorry that I was a little spooked at you at first, Freya..." He blinked a bit, surprised when Freya went back to her actual appearance - before scratching the back of his head with his free hand. "... I don't think I'll get used to, uhm, Digimon being able to do that."
At the question of them getting moving to map out the place and move for the nearest Trailmon though, Andrei would nod. "Mud's not that big of a deal to me - I'd just like a bath afterwards..." He'd murmur, as he stretched his limbs out with a grunt, before moving to Karin's side - letting the cat gal lead the way. "Ain't the first time I've gotten dirty running around outside,"

How did she forget to actually introduce herself? Oh dear, that was a little bit embarrassing. The holosuited Digimon scratched the back of her head. "Aaah...It's an honor to meet you three. My name is Nereid. I'd say some call me Princess of the Tides but I don't actually have that as a title, so just call me Reid."
As Freya went back to her true form, as did Nereid, turning herself back into a Syakomon. The little blob within the shell hopped a bit in affirmation. "Well, I could hose you down right now, but...Yeah, you'll get a bath either way! Come on, lets go before another Gazimon shows up!"
She'd promptly follow Karin and Freya--they knew the way better than she.

What, her? Karin looked at the three other party member like a deer in headlight. What... what on earth? She's supposed to lead all of them now? Ah mouuu... Whatever! She decided to just roll with it. "Alright alright..."
With help of Freya, the tree roots slowly formed bridges for them. How is this possible? Well don't ask her. It's just is. "Don't mind Andrei dear. I'm sure anyone's response of facing a Digital Monster like us would be either freaked out or considerably disturbed. Well, if we're cute that's another matter but you're in alien world and you're panicking, that's fine."
"Whatever that frog Digimon is, how do we know we're in someone's territory or not?" Karin asked.
"I guess the simplest way is to see from telltale sign. Like barks being scratched, pollens, or certain scents available on them. Plus I guess with how I create bridge most likely we will have a bit of time before someone actually got offended."
Well extra time does helps, but...
"... is there a way to hides our scent?"
"I'm sorry, but I don't think so at the moment."

Andrei would note Karin's response and the stare she had at the three of them. He scratched the back of his head, mumbling sheepishly "Sorry, you guys probably, uh... Know where you're going better than I do..." He didn't really wanna put anyone on the spot, but he wasn't sure exactly who to follow; and Karin and Freya's mentions of a map - as well as Freya's mention of 'shall we' - led him to believe that they'd be leading the way. But maybe they could've followed Nereid, too? Clams could fit in in a swamp, right...??
With Nereid's introduction though, Andrei would glance to her and nod; smiling warmly to her. "It's nice to meet you, too, uh... Nereid!" He'd respond, taking a second to get the pronunciation down - it seems he was growing more comfortable around the others, warming up to the idea of digimon. He still appeared a little wary as well though, glancing around and being aware of his surroundings as Freya formed the root-bridges for the lot of them. He didn't see any other digimon, or at least, any digimon who were nearby enough to be of any worry - he could see a couple of shapes lazily drifting by thru the sky, but they seemed to just be... Well... Flying by.
Otherwise though, he'd follow after the others across the bridges, staring down at the digivice in his hand. He wasn't too sure what to make of it, he'd never seen such a device before - and he wasn't sure if he wanted to start pressing buttons quite yet. Who knew what pressing the wrong button could do, after all? Nonetheless though, he'd glance over to Karin and Freya, and file in alongside them - asking "Do either of you, uhm... Know how this digivice thing works, exactly? How do I turn it on?"
And there was Nereid, too - he'd glance back to her and think of her previous mention of the Library and the people there - "And what's the Library like, if it's okay to ask?" He'd begin - adding "What are the people there like?" If he was going to end up hanging around there, he might as well start getting an idea of the people there... Though all the same, he also wasn't sure if he wanted to stay in one place, unless he somehow ran into his partner along the way... Keeping someone waiting on him waiting seemed, well, maybe a bit cruel.

"Mmm..." Nereid began. "We shouldn't really be that easy to pick out if we're in a swamp. Unless you guys want to roll around in some mud. But don't do that, it's pretty nasty. Makes you look distinctly uncute. Unless you're into that..." The Syakomon then looked to Andrei. "Just call me Reid if my name's too hard to pronounce! Easy!"
Anyways, there was stuff to speak about. "I don't know how the Digivice works, but I know people who might. Anyways, the Library, or rather, the Great Moving Library is where I live. It's a strange phenomena that's literally a moving library that might seem a bit bigger on the inside. It's located around the Digital Core--which is the literal center. We can take the Trailmon to there and go there sometime if you want!"
As for the people? "Well, my moms live there, so they're pretty cool. There's also Ms. Ayumi and Ms. Yukiko and Ms. Usako and Dr. Mikemon. Also some Meicoomon--but they're docile. And there's also a Keramon there sometimes. Uhhh...Meicoomon are essentially fluffy cats that can do some serious stuff and Keramon are jellyfish-like creatures with creepy smiles. Any more questions? Because I like answering them!"

"I'm the one with the map indeed, but I'm as lost as it is as you." Karin answered.
"But I think i can talk with the trees in here, so I'm fine. Problem with it is trees are not quite accurate in knowing which way is where. They have networks, but their networks are limited you see. Mainly, they only can 'sense'. They can't 'see'. Vibration, direction of the winds... those sort of things are what the trees would convey to me. Nothing more sadly, at least in this stage," Freya added.
How to turn it on?
"...It's always active, although probably you need to find your partner first before it's truly active so to say. It's said that if your Digivice beeps loudly with a colorful dot on it with the same color as your digivice, that means that you're close to your Digimon," Karin answered. "...Because that happened to me."
This so called Library... Is like a fantasy building that always moving? Interesting... "...So it's a... building that can move? Is that some sort of land whale I wonder..."
"...You mean sand whale? The core area mostly filled with grasslands though."
"So a landwhale."
"I don't think so, but that's interesting. Can you tell us more, Reid-chan?"

So... The Library is a large building that moves around the... Digital Core? Andrei couldn't help but blink a bit, seeming puzzled as he tried to figure out what Nereid meant by the Digital Core being the 'literal center' - was it the literal center like the center of the earth? Or was the Digital World flat, and the Digital Core in the middle of it all? WERE THE FLAT EARTHERS ON THE RIGHT PATH ALL ALONG?! ... In all seriousness though, that actually would be an interesting thought - with his interest in conspiracy theories and the such.
But it was also something he supposed he'd figure out on his own time. The people sounded interesting at least, even if Nereid's descriptions of Keramon and Meicoomon didn't paint quite the same picture that she was imagining; thinking of fluffy-as-hell cats in business suits and literal jellyfish that had faces. He couldn't help but sweat at the mental images, wondering if he shouldn't just see them for himself before he began guessing - though nonetheless would nod to Nereid, mentioning "I'd like to at least visit the Library, to see what it's all about; thank you, Nereid."
At the question of, well, anymore questions - he'd think for a moment, before a thought occurred to him. "Sorry if this is a bit personal, but uhm... You said you have two moms? What are they like?" Did that mean that Nereid was adopted, and her parents were gay? He wasn't sure about his own sexuality, if he was honest - he believed he might be Bi? Or maybe pan? But he never really did look into relationships hard enough to say for sure. If Nereid was indeed adopted though, he couldn't help but wonder what Nereid's biological parents must be like. Or how two mothers would have a child, unless... ... Okay, maybe he should stop thinking too hard into this, before he gave himself a headache.
Instead, he'd turn his attention to Karin and Freya; listening to Freya talk about how she could sort of 'talk' to the trees. Seeing as she was, uhm.. A plant-y digimon, he figured that made sense; plants having some form of kinship with other plants. Though he couldn't help but wonder what it was like, then, to live as a tree in the digital world. Did this mean they were semi-aware?
Nonetheless, he'd glance down to his digivice - staring at the currently-blank screen. So once he found his partner, it'd sort of 'turn on'... Hm... "... What kind of digimon might my partner be?" He'd ask, curious - "And I'll eventually find them, right..? If this world is as big as Earth, it seems like it'd probably be pretty hard to find my partner - at least on my own...."
