They did figure out one thing they could do for them out of many, that much was certain. They had bigger fish to fry, though. Not literally. "This looks really high-end for a Trailmon stop..." Nereid noted, sliding forward and onto the platform. She didn't have much else to do, seeing as she was an aquatic Digimon that actually did quite prefer the bog.
The humans however looked like crap. "Yeah, go wash up! I'll keep watch." The Syakomon told her companions as they stepped into the shower rooms. She then proceeded to spend quite some time attempting to hop up onto a chair. This was by far the most difficult thing she had ever done in her life, and she was not quite about to succeed at it, either.

Karin was truly surprised. At first she thought there are only cold water here, but to her surprise, there are dial for hot water too. There are also soaps and shampoo vending machine. Holy shit, talk about high end indeed. Whoever sold these probably would have great profit attached. Either way, she bought rose and apple scented soap and shampoo. The moment she hits the shower, it felt like all her fatigue are being washed away.
Meanwhile in the other side, Freya saw Nereid trying to hop on the chair and tossed a seed underneath her that quickly bloomed into springy plant that would help her to sit on the chair.
"Is everything alright there, Reid-chan?" she asked. It looked like she's done photosynthesizing and is now approaching Nereid to sit together on a chair.

When Andrei noticed the vending machines for soaps and shampoos, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Dang, this place seemed to know what it was doing, wasn't it? He was just about ready to get himself some soap and shampoo as well, though... He quickly ran into an issue; these vending machines seemed to take a different currency from what he had. And it wasn't any sort of currency that he recognized, either.
"Figures..." He'd sigh heavily - scratching the back of his head, supposing he'd just have to wash himself and rinse out his clothing real good to compensate for not having any proper soap. This was better than nothing, at least - but it certainly was disappointing that this place seemed to like yanking his chain every which way every chance it got. The weird knifeotterthing, rifts that won't even take him home, gosh-dang weird vending machines... He debated asking Freya or Nereid for a hand with it - maybe they could lend him something? God only knows where a clam keeps their money, - but he didn't want to trouble them too much.
Instead, he'd simply turn up the water a bit on the hotter side to make sure that he'd be able to rinse everything out the best he could, sighing pleasantly at the warmth of it all. He supposed that he should be thankful that this was here at all, though, in hindsight - most train stations wouldn't come with a shower attached like this!

Maybe if she focused hard enough, she could probably jump up onto the chair...? Nereid did indeed jump, almost! But that was from Freya throwing a seed her way to help her onto the chair. She slid there and peered down at the Floramon. "Oh, um...Yes. I just was at a loss on how to get up here. Humans like sitting here a bunch, right? ...I don't get why. Maybe 'cause I'm small."
Nereid fell silent again for a few more moments before she finally asked a proper question for Freya. "...What do you think would be a good partner for Andrei?" Bit of a random question, but Freya was the partnered one here, not her. So she should have an idea on how to respond to this, right?

"Ah that, eh? Well... you see, no offense to Andrei, but he really could use some level headed partner I think. You see, usually there are some sort of meaning in partnership. The Digital World chose human and their Digimon not based on coincidence. There's always a pattern. Even if you think some partnership are rather cruel joke, like for example... an arachnophobe partnered with a Dokugumon... or maybe a brat partnered with even bigger brat... there's always a lesson that Digital World wanted us to learn.
That's why I think I'll keep believing that boy will find the right partner, you see? Well, it might not be a kind one, maybe a harsh one, but I'm sure that Digital World will not totally forsake him. After all, it's totally malicious of the will of Digital World to summon someone to this world then partner them with the worst possible partner... That'd be a bit too much you see?" Freya answered.
Either way, looks like she believed that Andrei will be fine. "...All that I wish is that he could be patient... At times when you're partnered against your will, you will have some... expectations to your partners. If that's not met, that's the recipe for disaster."

In a way, Andrei was being patient - he understood that looking for one's partner was going to take time, and that it could even take months! But, perhaps, his idea of being assigned a partner was just a little different from what Freya meant. He had gotten the idea in his head that his partner must be looking for him, or waiting for him, somewhere out there - which in a way was true, but it wasn't necessarily always the case with partners. Not to mention, deep down, he probably found the idea of having a partner to keep him safe in this strange scary world comforting; he always was a bit of a scaredy cat...
Either way, it seemed the hot shower did wonders for him - having taken the time to rinse out his clothing, and to rinse himself off as well. Sure, perhaps he would've been able to do better with some soap - but as stated before, he wasn't about to trouble anyone for whatever money these weird vending machines took. Instead, he'd just go thru his shower, clean off, and then dry off - letting out a relaxed and pleased sigh as he finally got dressed and stepped back out of the shower, looking very much at ease.
He'd glance over to Nereid and Freya - noting that Karin wasn't out quite yet, and that the both of them were talking! This would prompt a curious glance towards the two Digimon as he sat down - asking "What're you two talking about?" as he got comfy to wait for the train.

"Mmm..." Nereid began. "I always noticed that partners tend to perfectly compliment their other halves. Or be their opposite in a sense. I dunno, Naoko and Titania seem pretty different, yet close at the same time...But I see what you mean. There could be a lesson to be derived from whatever, or whomever it could be." Nereid nodded her slimy as hell head towards Freya. She got oddly...science-y there. No. Not science-y.
She sounded more mature than she normally did. When Andrei returned, of course, she turned her body towards him with a big smile on her face! "Oh! Trying to theorize about what partner you might get. Freya says no matter what they could be, there's a lesson to be learned from the partnership! So keep an eye out for that, I guess." Yep, she was quite serious in saying this.

"Indeed, I believe that is part of Digital World's mercy... but at the same time, its mischievousness... Why I said mischievousness? Well that's because sometime the Digital World pairs people with someone they cannot get along with but must get along no matter what the case otherwise they won't survive the Digital World. I believe however, people who survive tough situation together by working together usually will get their bond strengthened."
It was right there that Andrei suddenly appeared. Freya chuckled at his question and decided to tease him before Nereid can answer it. "My my, are you in mood to ask what ladies are gossiping? Well I don't mind divulging, but are you really sure~?"
Of course it's a joke and she quickly drops it. "Yes what Reid-chan said. She's curious about what sort partner you'll get... and if there is a pattern to it. More than that, it's not really that important, really. I said that because it's just theory, nothing concise, and I'd rather not plant the idea to your head that it's always like that."
It's at this point that Karin came out from the shower booth, fully mud free and refreshed. it looked she even dried her hair completely.
"...Hmn?" Freya looked at Karin's hair. It's... far longer than before? She swore the girl only had neck length hair before.... How is this happened?

So they were talking about what kind of partner he might get? Andrei was curious, himself - but from what it sounded like, it seemed that whilst there were theories that there's usually a lesson to the partnerships, it wasn't something that you could really predict. "Figures there's more lessons, even in the Digital World." He'd joke a little, laughing gently as he leaned back in his seat. "You'd think I'd have had enough lessons in college, haha!" Though, then again, even if what Nereid mentioned was only a theory... He couldn't help but wonder; what could he learn, from having a partner? Being less scared of this place? He wasn't sure, but... it'd probably still be good to go into this and regard whoever his newfound partner will be with an open mind.
Though, he didn't have too much longer to ponder this thought, before something else would draw his attention away! He'd glance up in Karin's direction, as she'd step out of the shower booth; looking ready to go, but... Something occurred to him, just as it occurred to Freya, as well. He'd give her a puzzled look for a few moments - particularly at her hair - before he'd ask "... Was your hair always that long? I swear it was much shorter before." Did the shampoos in the vending machine had some sort of... Crazy hair growth serum in them? Thank god he didn't lend from the others to buy some, then; he was pretty sure that long hair wasn't his look!

"Haha, I'm not a lady yet! Gossip's still my forte, though." Nereid snickered at Freya, though the meaning of the plant's words were not lost on her. Neither were the boy's, really. She had to remind herself what a college was--even if she lived in a library, there was no excuse not to know where one can get a better education if they so choose.
Of course, this was all thrown to the wayside as Karin emerged from the shower completely clean like Andrei...and with much longer hair than before. What? "...Woah, did the shower have hair grower or something? I wish I had hair to get like that!" What the hell happened?

Hmmm? What's this? Karin noticed that the eyes are at her... She looked at herself awkwardly. What? She has dried herself, she has worn her clothes... well except the boots that is. She sort of left those on the shoe washing station. But really, nothing so weird about her, right? It's when she noticed that her longer hair... oh, right. She was sort of surprised too in the shower, but she quickly dismiss it as some Digital World Juju or something like that... it doesn't really change anything that much considering that the last thing she remembered, she still have long hair... so it felt much better for her.
However, to Freya, this signified something more. While Karin was far away enough she can't help but to mutter something that is uncharacteristic of her usually calm state.
"...Ojou... she looked like how she was three years ago..."
Noticing her slip, she quickly pretended she said nothing. She does said it low enough though.
"Ah, these, please just ignore these somehow or another, alright? My hair is just a bit longer that's all..."
"How about if we braid it?" Freya suggested.
"Hmmm, braid it? Well I guess that's better. Please do if you could."
"Don't mind me, then..."
Once again, she activated her holosuit and began brushing Karin's hair. "What style do you want me to braid it in?"
"...Let's see... probably something simple. A simple french braid would do. Please don't make it too high however."

Andrei wouldn't really notice Freya's remark, instead paying more attention to the oddity that was Karin's hair being longer; likely because of the shampoo, given how he hadn't used it when he showered, and his hair was just fine. No weird growths and whatnot that he could see or feel, carding his fingers thru his hair - which supported the theory of the shampoo being to blame. Either way though, he wouldn't dwell too much on the 'why's and 'how's of this - instead glancing back to Karin at her request to ignore the strange occurrence.
Smiling gently to her, he'd scratch the back of his head, mentioning "Longer hair does look nice on you, at least." with a warm chuckle, joking "I don't think long hair would suit me very well, myself - eheh!" He would also be watching, as Freya would go to braiding and brushing out Karin's new length of hair. "Still can't help but wonder how that happened, though." He'd muse out loud - mostly to himself as he leaned back in his seat, exhaling heavily as he pondered. "I couldn't really afford anything in that weird vending machine, so I figure that it has something to do with the shampoo and whatnot in there, since you're affected and not me, but... This Digital World stuffs' pretty bizarre sometimes."
Would the bodywash do something weird, too, like the shampoo did? He certainly hoped not, if only for Karin's sake; he wasn't going to be testing the bodywash only to find out it turns him into Bigfoot or something anytime soon.

"Three years ago? Damn, that's some nice hair for three years." Nereid smiled. "I think it's dependent on what sort of air you want to give off. Some people can pull it off really well! Like my mom! And others...well, they look weird." She then took a look towards the Vending Machine™ that Andrei spoke of.
...
Oh.
"That thing uses bits--literally excess data that we sweat off. Don't question it. It's pretty easy to come by..." Nereid trailed off as she watched Freya proceed to braid Karin's hair. ...Huh, maybe there was a thing or two that she could pick up from this? "The bodywash shouldn't do anything weird, I hope...I dunno, I'm more of a marine lady than a human."

"What?" Longer hair suits her? Karin tilted her head at Andrei, but then she finally caught on. "Oh, no, I don't think it's the shampoo. Look at this..." She offered him the shampoo. It listed the ingredients in english, chinese and japanese, and there are not even one bits saying how it's good for hair growth, just part about how it make it silky, beautiful, etc, mostly marketed for teens. Considering how it smelled like soft strawberry scent, it's probably about right.
"If you want to go back there I can lend you some money, really. Raise your Digivice."
Should Andrei do that, Karin would transfer about 5000 bits to him.
Either way, it looked that Freya has done braiding her hair. "Hmm, this probably better for me at the moment," she commented, running her hair on her newly braided hair. "Either way... the train is here..."
True enough, the train finally came and stopped right in front of them. "Well for the meantime, shall we go to Terminus?"

So the vending machine used something called bits...? Andrei would glance back at the machine in question, thinking it over, though... If bits were excess data, then was that something like using loose hair or skin as currency..? ... He'd make a slight face at the thought; before deciding to not think it over too hard. Digimon probably saw data a whole lot differently from how people saw hair and skin, after all.
As Karin offered him the shampoo though, he would take it and look the bottle over; noting that there didn't seem to be anything particularly unusual about the label. "... Huhm. Yeah, I don't see anything on here that's particularly unusual..." He'd hum for a second, before tilting his head and scratching his head with his free hand. "Still, it doesn't explain why your hair did that, but... I suppose we're worrying too much over something that's ultimately harmless, huh?" He'd muse out loud - handing the bottle back to Karin. "Worst case scenario, you'd just need another haircut." He'd conclude with a chuckle.
At the offer of money though, Andrei would blink a bit, scratching his cheek a bit. "Ah... I wouldn't want to trouble you." He'd mention to Karin with a sheepish smile, politely declining her offer. "Thank you though, I appreciate the offer, anyways."
As the train would roll in though, Andrei would nod and stand up; making sure he had all of his things before he'd start for the train.
