Voice an opinion; right. Yuuya sometimes forgot to do that; as funny as that sounded; so, what was the verdict regarding the chocolate-filled pancake balls? He thought about it for a second before responding, actually.
"I guess it's good enough." He mumbled, somewhat casually. "It's definitely better than anything I had this week for lunch, even though that's not that high of a bar. But... it's a start, I guess? I wouldn't mind eating more."
Somewhat lukewarm, but was there any more to be expected? Probably not, even if that event would be left behind soon enough, and by none other than Yama's own appearance. At plain sight, it seemed that her relationship with one twin was way better than with the other, even though that wasn't an accomplishment by any metric.
"Yama, huh? That's a bit of a weird name..." Maybe her parents just lacked imagination; the boy himself had never heard anyone named like that. "Anyway. Why is she so uptight? She looks like she might pop a vein at any moment. She should learn to chill."
Luckily, the girl was out of earshot, otherwise... things could've gotten hairy! In any case, there wasn't a lot more to comment on the matter. Everything that had to be said was said, and the group could move onto the rest of the lunch. And the school day, for that matter.
Time to... join the council, Yuuya guessed. With any luck, it wouldn't be too bad. He'd follow Evie, alongside all the new recruits towards one of the many classrooms that were usually destined for after-school activities. Quite obviously, this one was for the Student Council.
Assuming that the more proper blonde was leading the way, the teenager would wait until she opened the door and then gaze into... a mostly empty room, surprisingly enough. Only the girl that had visited them before was present, sitting in one of the many desks that were arranged in a circle. As always, her perpetual expression seemed to be a mix between dead-serious and a not-so-friendly frown.
"About time." She muttered, before standing up and walking towards the assembled group. Once again, her expression seemed to be slightly more displeased than usual when her eyes briefly stopped on Elsie. "Why did you bring them?"
Her tone sounded more annoyed than curious, but it was really hard to discern, given that was the normal pitch of her voice. "They're not part of the council. Unless..."
A sigh escaped her throat. She knew all too well where this was going, but held onto hopes to be proven mistaken.

Could someone say there was magic in Hiro’s simplicity? Definitely not by itself. But when it combined to Elsie laid-back attitude, it helped things to go really smooth between them, which was ultimately a good thing, considering how hard it was for the male teenager to actually get along with people. Slowly, his eyes widened at what the one who would forever be Sleepy Twin to him said. “You can bring those, or…” What was the proper way to react to something like this? “… exchanging phone numbers would be okay too, yes.” He corrected the train wreck that his words were along the way.
Was this proposition weird? A little bit. Did he actually enjoy getting out once he actually got home? No. But, honestly, he could also not think of a reason why it wouldn’t be okay to hang out with Elsie to try some new food. She was nice. She was simple. Was this a blooming friendship, or was he just a test subject? So far, he was surprisingly not against any of those, which was a bit surprising, even for him.
“I’ll give you my phone number, and you can send me a message so I can save yours.” He suggested while he spelled his number to the girl. If he was the guy, should this be done the other way around? Who cared? Certainly, not Elsie. Sacred simplicity.
Once she actually texted him, the number of girls’ phone numbers that were stored in Hiro's phone and didn't belong to his mom or his sister had ascended to the magnificent number of 2. That was quite an achievement! Even if he really didn’t care much about meeting girls. Or people, in general. This was a nice change of pace.
Yes. This girl definitely didn’t strike Hiro like the type who would join a cooking club. He had seen those girls. They didn’t sleep and drooled in class. They definitely didn’t. That was fine. It meant Elsie was not trying to forcefully fit where she didn’t belong.
… Maybe that was more than what could be said about him joining the Student Council. But hey, he had no choice!
But that was then. The classrooms dedicated to these types of groups seemed to be in the lower floor of the school, east wing, so they only had to go down a set of stairs and walk for a bit before actually reaching their destination.
Now, Hiro was standing last among the group that had arrived and entered the very much empty classroom that was supposed to hold the reunions for the Student Council, being immediately harassed by this girl with short, dark hair. The same she had thought he knew before when he saw her. Now that he was seeing her from up close, Hiro actually recognized her!
“Funabashi.” He muttered, almost without actually wanting to do it.
He knew this girl! She was actually the other girl whose phone number he had stored in his cellphone. The reason? She was the older sister of Funabashi Yuna, who happened to be Hitomi’s best friend. He had stored the phone number of Yama on his cellphone to let her know when he was picking up his sister from the playdates she and Yuna shared, or when Yama was actually picking her own 6-years old sister from his house. So... this girl was actually part of the student’s council? He knew they went to the same school but didn't know much more about her.
Why did she look… annoyed? She was actually extremely nice when her little sister was around, even to the point of her courtesy being taxing for Hiro. Couldn’t say he liked her all that much with this attitude, though. “H-Hi…” He greeted the girl, still a bit impressed at her way of acting.
Who was part of the council, then? Were they only Evie and Yama here before? They looked like they could use some new members. So why did Yama seem kind of against the idea?
In any case, it was definitely Evie who should do the talking. Hiro’s eyes went to Elsie, wondering if she was going to say something about this girl’s attitude. Hopefully, she wouldn’t. Otherwise, they were probably bound to get involved in some sort of quarrel.
To this thought, he only let out a sigh. Not now, please.

'Good enough' wouldn't be the type of response that Elsie would necessarily appreciate, but Evie still flashed a polite smile. Of course, Evie would process the comment in a much better way. Namely, because she knew Yuuya's personality better than Elsie! The perks of being deskmates, it seemed. Surely, Evie would tell Elsie not to take offense to it later! ...Right?
Luckily, the 'sleepy twin' was too busy collecting a boy's phone number to notice! Did she realized how awkward Hiro was? Probably not, to be honest. People could be so strange! And, living across two worlds sometimes made it really difficult to discern oddities in people! Everything was pretty normal at this point, really. Socially awkward boys, flying bugs the size of a small house -- average things to be expected these days!
"Alright!" Awkwardness and thoughts of giant insects aside, Elsie didn't seem to find her offering of friendship or 'science' to be all that strange! Pulling out her phone, she quickly input the information provided, before sending a text. It was nothing too fancy, but perhaps to be expected. Once Hiro would look at the text, he'd just find an emoji of a stack of pancakes. Very creative.
After Yama's exit, Elsie gave a shrug to Yuuya's newest question on the girl. "I suspect she just takes school, and rules, very seriously. Alternatively, she doesn't believe in having fun. It's sort of a mystery!" One that, maybe someday, Evie would crack! Not today, however. She had more interesting things to do. Unfortunately -- or perhaps luckily -- Yama wasn't interesting enough to have much attention paid to her on a daily basis! Even if the twins lived a completely normal life, the green-eyed girl could easily find things that took priority!
Like, regular class periods! Or introducing the new members of the council! Or, honestly anything really. Yama had gotten pretty boring to Evie's standards.
At least, unless she could get some sort of rise out of the uptight girl. Then Yama could be interesting.
Folding her fingers together in front of herself, Evie entered the dedicated room, leading her group of misfits. She knew she wasn't late. Yama was just impatient as always, it seemed. As realization seemed to dawn upon the other club member, an innocent smile began to slowly work its way across the blonde's lips. "Unless," she started, in a tone that almost implied that she was hesitant on her statement being rejected, "as of today, they have joined the Student Council!"
Evie knew that the idea wasn't going to be rejected. It couldn't be, really! "With everyone else graduating, what will become of the council if we didn't get new members?" If the others had noticed, Yama had been the only one here. And it was just made apparent that nobody else was showing up for this meeting. Even student council needed to have a certain number of members for the club to be considered a club, and two was definitely too small!
Hiro, paying more attention to the sleepy twin, would surely notice Elsie's lips twitching between a neutral expression and a frown. Oh, she would love to say plenty of things! But, this was a case where she knew Evie had the floor, and speaking would ruin something important. The twins had a dynamic, and they both knew their places in it. For a situation like this? Elsie had to keep her mouth shut and let her sister do the talking, before it landed everyone in some sort of trouble!

Somebody not believing in the concept of fun was a pretty dicey proposition. Being on a permanent state of taking things way too seriously should be pretty draining; at least, it would be for Yuuya. Was Yama even able to feel it? Those, and many other useless questions passed by the boy's mind before he decided that the better option was to just discard them.
Despite the fact that they would be together in the student council, it didn't mean they had to get along perfectly, after all. Just by the look of it, it seemed like her relationship with Evie was rocky, and that was to say the least! He could predict that the dynamic between the two girls was very interesting... but Yuuya wasn't sure if that was in a good way or not.
But, that was something he'd ponder about later, if at all. Right now, he was devoting most of the meager amount of attention he could muster towards adapting to his new situation as a member of the council. How would the place be? Would there be a lot of people, or would there be a lot of people?
Apparently, the only thing that would be found in that classroom would be a fair amount of disappointment! Or... not really? This situation either meant that work would be way more lax than usual or a lot a harder. Hopefully, it'd be the first case! Otherwise, this might be more annoying than initially thought.
Back with the two girls who currently were discussing the council's current situation! Yama couldn't help but elongate her sigh once Evie confirmed her suspicions. Truth to be told, her intervention was necessary, considering that the council couldn't remain as a two-person affair, and, at least in her opinion, anyone was better than the whole thing ending.
Pity the people Evie picked were far less than optimal. But it wasn't like she would voice that out loud, even if her disdain towards the new councilmen was rather obvious. Yama wasn't a person of subtleties, after all. Or was she, considering Hiro's thoughts on her? Who knew.
"Welcome to the student council." She said, in a corteous yet curt way. Her gaze went immediately back to the blonde. "Take you've explained to them what the council is about, right? Have they picked a position they'd like to fill? Sides president and vice president, everything is pretty much vacant, as you can see. Once that's taken care of, we should get the first meeting going. There's a whole year to plan."
Her tone managed to return to a semblance of neutrality as soon as their schedule was described. Guess that's the treatment everyone would receive from now on. Could it be considered good? That was probably up for debate!
Knowing that her piece was over, the dark-haired girl returned to her desk; at plain sight, it seemed like she had been somewhat busy, considering the stack of papers currently resting there. What could she possibly be working on?
Yuuya, on his side, just stared blankly at the girl as she went through her motions, then back at the group, and finally, at Evie. "I'll let you pick my position, president." For some reason, his voice was somewhat teasing as he said that. Why could that be.
Where would everyone land? How much power did the council actually wield? What would the meeting be about? Asking himself that many questions was the most bothersome thing the teenager had done to himself in a long while.

The number of layers this situation presented by itself was honestly a drag to think about. First, the Vice President who acted in a very different way compared to how Hiro was used to seeing her. Then, the fact the council was almost abandoned by lacking enough members to even pass as a club. And, finally, the roles they were supposed to fill during the reconstruction of this club and probably throughout the next year.
As Yaama walked back to the desk, Hiro just crossed her arms, letting out a very characteristic sigh. If only he were less shy to ask to be given an easy job. He was very much aware he could only actually perform decently good at easy tasks that did not require him to think too much, or making a considerable amount of physical effort or... Being awake the whole time, for that matter. Ugh. He could not help but think the fact that the council lacked so many members meant that they were going to have to work harder.
"Don't you feel this is going to be... very exhausting?" He asked Elsie in a whispered. Heck, he was even starting to feel tired just by seeing Evie and Yaama interact.
Well, there was no escaping it. He needed to know what he was going to do at this club, so he made sure he was not interrupting anyone and finally spoke up.
"I... Actually have no idea of what kind of roles a student council has" Not too surprising, was it? "So I'm leaving this in the president's hands. Just like pretty much everything else." No teasing in his tone of voice. This was no joke, not at all.
"I don't actually exceed at anything neither am I especially good at any type of task. So, given that piece of information, you can pick whatever you seem fitting for me." Okay, maybe there was a bit of a joke there. Not because he did not mean every word but because it was obviously hard to give a specific task to someone who was basically claiming to be completely useless himself.
Considering it was likely Elsie's approach towards this situation was not going to be too different from Yuuya's or Hiro's, it seemed like Evie was in charge of giving everyone a role in the nascent student council.

At least Evie picked a 'fight' that she knew she would win rather easily. But, were things ever actually difficult when it came to Yama? As long as it adhered to the rules, and kept the student council running, Evie suspected not. There was plenty of time to be proven wrong, however! And, one day, Evie almost hoped she'd see it.
"Yes, I've already explained it. Yuuya even assisted a bit in the explanation!" And, by assisted, that meant less than a sentence worth of additional details on her list of 'things the student council does', but that was just a minor detail! The point was making at least one newbie sound like they had some idea of what was going on with their lives right now!
Hearing Hiro's question, Elsie gave a nod. "I'm already ready for a nap," she mumbled. The concept of student council just sounded tiring! Let alone dealing with Yama's grumpy faces every time!
But, now, Evie was being addressed as President. There was a blink of surprise, as if just processing this information. Something uncommon for the blonde, for sure! But, with Elsie not even bothering to comment on her own desire for rank among the council, it seemed that Evie was left with making all the decisions. Granted, first, she would assign something to her sister. After all, she knew her best out of everyone in the room! "Elsie will be the treasurer," she started, simply.
"I sure hope that involves some actual treasure," the sibling uttered under her breath. It sort of did! But, not in the way the teen would prefer.
From there, instead of giving any description of the job, she went on to Yuuya. There was an almost thoughtful look, while she tapped her cheek. "Yuuya, you should be the secretary." Really? Secretary Yuuya? "I think you'll be good at it!" Was that revenge for his teasing tone earlier? Or, was he just the best option out of the three for such a job? It was a mystery.
Either way, that only left one person! And, the most obvious positions were filled! So, what would Hiro's fate be? "Finally," the blonde started, while brushing her hair behind one of her ears. "We need a Public Relations Director," oh no, that sounded like a lot of work. "And I think Hiro would make a good face for that." What did that mean? Were Elsie and Yuuya not good enough? Was Evie calling Hiro pretty? Or, was it actually all just some sort of subtle taunt? Regardless the reason, her tone remained chipper throughout the entire listing of everyone's new titles. "Those are the main positions needing filled, I feel. What do you think, Yama? Everyone?"
Well, if anyone had any complaints, they had better voice them now. Otherwise, they would be trapped in the roles forever! Or, until they quit student council, at least!

To some extent, it looked like Yama was somewhat cautious regarding her superior's words. She had worked alongside her as the juniors of the student council for at least a year, and she could discern when something was afoot. She wasn't sure on exactly what, but she knew for sure that there was something. The girl could only hope to eventually find out.
"Seems like at least some show a bit of promise." To know who had been the target of that indirect jab was probably the easiest thing ever. The completely friendly rivalry she had with Elsie permeated all her gestures while the wild-haired girl was present. Luckily, she also had other, more productive things to do rather than to antagonize the president's sister. "Guess those roles are the most important to get things up and going. We can begin the meeting now, then."
Unceremoniously, the dark-haired girl returned to her seat, and expected everyone else to do the exact same thing. What about Yuuya, then? He seemed to be relatively pleased with the role he had gotten. Low-profile, mostly revolved around following orders, and the responsibility could always be dumped into one's superiors. Not many complaints could be issued regarding the position so, after a quick nod, walked and picked one of the many empty seats in the otherwise vacant classroom.
When would they begin? How things would begin? In all frankness, he was mildly curious about it all; yet, luckily, the whole thing wouldn't take long. Once everyone had taken their seats, Yama would speak again.
"So, the first scheduled activity we have ahead of us is the mid-year school festival. It's supposed to happen in two weeks, more or less. We have a rough outline of the necessary stands, given last year's festival, but we can't just be satisfied with that, right? We need to surpass our predecessors and make something bigger, more fun, and most importantly; more profitable than last year's. Any ideas on how we can accomplish that? Whether a change in the organization process and different or new stands, I'm all ears."
At least for now, that'd keep everyone busy and Yama would be able to gauge the new members' problem-solving ability. Would they rise to the occasion...?
Funnily enough, Yuuya already had an opinion on the matter. "Last year's food was awful, to be honest." Never a person to beat around the bush, it seems! "The options weren't many, and most of them weren't exciting. Not being able to get takoyaki was pretty bad, in my opinion."
His voice stopped right there; enough elaboration, it seemed! What would the others say? Would his words impress any of the people present? Despite those carrying more intent than usual, it was true that a school festival without good food was doomed to fail.

Honestly? It took Hiro more than a second to actually comprehend what Evie was telling him. Not only because he did not understand what she meant by something like ‘Hiro would make a good face for that’, but because the whole concept was something he was unaware of. By running through the words in his head, very slowly, he managed to reach a conclusion: it sounded like something where he needed to talk to other people.
“The…” By the moment he reacted, the prim and proper twin had already issued her question. “… So talking to other people. Devastating.” Had she managed to pick exactly what he was worst at? He mused about that possibility for a couple of seconds, to finally conclude he was going to feel he sucked at whatever task she picked for him, so it really came as preposterous to complain.
What did he do during last year’s mid-year school festival? Considering he could not remember what he ate this morning, trying to think about that was a bit futile. Instead! Hiro tried to focus on more interesting stuff, like what Yuuya was saying.
“If food was bad, then we might have that covered now.” His chin resting on the palm of his right hand, he glanced at Elsie, sitting not too far from him. “There’s some very good cook in the council now. She can probably make some delightful food this year.” Wasn’t ‘delightful’ a bit too much? He was actually trying to sound energetic. He lacked… energy, to do that. “So a new stand with Elsie’s food… That sounds profitable to me.”
“Maybe we could have a haunted house or something like that? I think they either didn’t do that last year or it was so lame no one talked about it. I’ve heard students like to buy tickets for that.”
Had he provided some type of help? Whether he did or not, this was the best he could do.

Well, aside from Hiro's bland comment of his role being devastating, it seemed there were no real complaints! Did the boy actually find it devastating? Evie wasn't so sure! And, frankly, she didn't actually care! So, the meeting would proceed on, and nobody would get further say in what they would do for their roles. It was pretty perfect, as far as the president was concerned!
But, now that they were onto business, it seemed that the table turned to... Elsie? What? Somehow, the teen looked more surprised, than anything, when the idea was passed to put her in charge of producing things to eat. Almost immediately, her eyes set on Yama, waiting to see if there was any protest.
Before there could be, Evie loudly clasped her hands together, "I love that idea!" And, totally not because it meant it would keep Elsie out of trouble! Not at all! Or, maybe, it was entirely why she was so excited at the prospect. "It will be great exposure for us, if a member of the student council is also in charge of the food. Don't you think, Yama?" At this point, it would probably begin to get obvious that Evie would frequently ask Yama's opinion on something, when she knew there wasn't much room to argue against it!
As for the haunted house? "I don't think there was one last year! We could look into that! Would we go with something actually spooky? Or, would a haunted maze be more of an eye-catcher?" Then, there was another pause, "maybe the food stand could also be spooky-themed? Maybe bats, instead of fish, for Taiyaki, and things like that?"
But, maybe that was going too far? Who knew? Evie could suggest some pretty extreme things, if given too much time. Luckily, she hadn't reached that point! Yet, at least. "And, of course, Student Council needs to participate in as much of this as possible. We want to make sure we're seen as an active part of the school."
"I'll be actively making food," Elsie stated, lowly. Hopefully, it would get her out of anything too hectic!
"Did you have any additional suggestions, Yama? I'm very excited about the idea of doing something haunted."

Thus far? Things were going as well as they could, considering the less than savory company surrounding Yama. It wasn't like her mood was particularly pleasant on a good day, and this situation wasn't helping it any, but what else was there to be done? This would be her every day from now on; better get used to it, and most importantly... to Elsie's company.
That, however, led the group to their first topic, and to a very obvious turn of the dark-haired girl's humor for the worse. In the wake of Hiro's suggestion, he scoffed. Of course, Evie would beat her to it; adding a witty comment just to get on her nerves was pretty much expected at this point. She exhaled, taking a couple of seconds to recompose herself before she started to speak.
"Even if your obviously misplaced trust were fitting to the situation at hand." She said, her tone as even as it could be. Which meant, not much. "A single person taking care of feeding literally the whole school wouldn't be enough. We'd need at least four to five stands to take care of everything. You can get her to cook as much as you want, however. I've got zero problems with that."
Yuuya had to admit; pretty squabbles aside, the girl was in the right. No way a single stand could handle the whole school. However... he kinda preferred to raise his arms in a conciliatory motion. "Girls... there's no need to fight. We all can get along just fine, right?" He wasn't doing this because he cared a lot about any of them, but mostly because having them throw caustic remarks at the other at every opportunity was getting old rather fast. What he got in exchange, at least from Yama, was a glare. Probably not the best result!
Luckily, Evie would change topics right afterward. A spooky festival, huh? "Seems interesting enough, if you ask me. Most girls run away from me as soon as they see me, so I could be the spooky ghost of the haunted maze or something. Think that'd work?" It was funny how, despite how his tone sounded matter-of-factual, the guy seemed to be... actually pleased with the idea? What a weird person. "I doubt anyone is gonna eat bat meat, though. Remember why I said that the last festival failed? Don't make it worse."
All in all, it seemed like the group had an idea. What about Yama? She just... shrugged at the proposals. "Guess it'll work, as long as there's enough food that doesn't include bats. What about the activities? Competitions? Fish scooping? Raffles? There's plenty of things on the table."
Did anyone get any ideas? Were Elsie and/or Evie just gonna keep on antagonizing Yama and the other way around? Would Yuuya's attempt at being spooky work? Those were, indeed, a lot of questions.

Do you need an actual definition of trying your luck too far? The answer should pretty much be around asking Hiro for more ideas for new activities after two of his suggestions had been merely accepted. Nope, he had been too useful for a month already.
While Evie and Yama seemed to have a very passive confrontation, the teenager just wrinkled his mouth while his face kept resting on his right palm and he glanced at Elsie for a second. You didn’t need to be too smart to know Funabashi was right, though. That was exactly why Hiro understood she was. However, it should be obvious the idea did not involve Elsie taking care of the whole thing! That was too much work for a sleepy twin.
“Too bad. I bet Elsie is an expert at cooking bats.” The idea of eating bat meat was, without a doubt, a very weird proposal. And that’s why Hiro loved it. Imagine everyone eating something without knowing it is the meat of a blood-sucking mammal. Himself eating that? Yes… probably not. Not that he doubted Elsie would be against cooking it.
Ughhh… did he have to wear a disguise too!? Well, if someone found it for him… maybe it wouldn’t be that bad? He was too shy to jump on people to scare them, though. He definitely could not cook. “I can try the food to see if it’s healthy enough.” Yes. Of course.
"Is there some type of club that should be in charge of decoration and such? Or... should everyone help with that?" That was a good question in his head! If the answer was it was the Student Council in charge of that too... yes, that sucked, then.
“Maybe we could do some activities. Like games that involve guys versus girls? Or maybe… the different clubs against one another?” Well, there were a couple of ‘ideas’… or something. You can’t blame Hiro, he could not remember what school festivals were like, so he didn’t know how the potential activities would work.
Surprisingly, the time had gone by faster than probably everyone expected. The afternoon was slowly drawing to an end.

Hearing Yuuya try to stop a fight from breaking out, Elsie tilted her head to the side, and stared him dead in the eye. "Depends," she uttered, bluntly. And, unlike the norm where Elsie would probably go on a tangent, it just ended right there. Frankly, it depended on way too many things for her to really get into!
But, after a little more talking, and a notable crumpling of her face, the wild-haired 'chef' had to speak up again. "Uh, did Eves pronounce it wrong?"
Now, Evie, too, looked concerned. Pressing her lips tightly together, she folded her hands over her mouth. Usually, she was good with her Japanese! "Isn't Taiyaki the fish-shaped cakes with red bean paste or chocolate in them?" For once, it appeared that the green-eyed girl was actually second-guessing herself!
Except, she was totally right on what she thought it was. Maybe, her accent had made it a little jumbled?
"I was thinking bat-shaped cakes with chocolate or even red-dyed custards in them."
Which, frankly, was a lot less horrific than cooking real bats!
"Hiro can help me with food." Sorry Hiro, it sounds like you're learning to cook! Or, at least, to serve it without taking bites of everything. "We can ask cooking club to set up some stands, too."
"Spooky food stands, a haunted house," Evie hummed, while pulling out a notepad to write down the suggestions. "I would think guys versus girls competitions tend to bring big turnouts. But, we'd need to find some that aren't all strength-based." Otherwise, people would cry unfairness, after all! "And every festival needs fish scooping!" Did they really? Evie was going to go with yes. Mostly because she wanted to do it herself!
"For decorations, we could probably have each class decorate a section of the school?" That way everything would be split up easily! "What does everyone think?"

It was a good thing that the whole situation had been one big misunderstanding. Yuuya had misunderstood that bats would be used as one of the Taiyaki's ingredients, rather than just the pastry's shape, and since Yama had been too busy arguing with Elsie to hear her sister's words, had just assumed that a wild suggestion had been thrown for whatever reason.
Although, in Yuuya's defense, and considering the decidedly non-traditional food the wild-haired blonde had prepared for lunch, thinking she'd employ such ingredients wasn't all that weird to think. Better to eliminate any possibility of a misunderstanding! "My bad, then. I must have misheard what Evie meant and it just spread out. I'll make sure to listen better the next time."
Good thing that the argument had shifted from a personal affront to something one of the people present had allegedly misheard. It made the ambiance a bit more amicable, right? At least outwardly, it seemed like things had wound down a fair bit, something like Yuuya could consider a victory.
Yama nodded, even though she wasn't muttering a formal apology; not to Elsie, of all people; chances are she'd drop dead first; in any case, she brought out a notepad and began to write a vague outline of the ideas being proposed while the president listed them. "Getting the help of the Cooking Club sounds reasonable. I think that should be enough to get solve any kind of possible food shortage. Each class having a section of the school to decorate sounds like the fairest thing to do in that regard. Attractions sound good, and yeah; most of them shouldn't be strength-based for obvious reasons. Any ideas?"
Guess it was Yuuya's time to shine. At the very least, he knew his way about cheap entertainment! "We could set up a shooting booth, and have a dancing competition; in pairs, maybe? At least that'd give the whole school something to gossip about the next day." Because high schoolers were totally mature enough to differentiate 'dancing partner' from 'significant other', right? "Fish scooping sounds good as well. What about a dress-up competition? Like a cosplay contest, but halloween-related, I guess. That could be quite popular."
Somehow, the young man's mind was humming with productivity. Why could that be? It seemed like a mystery at the moment, even though everything seemed like an idea at least worth exploring.
"Noted. Anything else anyone might want to propose? I could begin writing the outline of what we want to do if you're finished pitching ideas."

Assuming Hiro had been somewhat aware of the short impasse that seemed to have produced would be… actually right. Assuming he would do anything about it was absolutely wrong, though. He was glad things seemed to have been settled in a rather tranquil matter, although he still could felt certain differences could go afloat eventually. Hopefully not.
Like a deer in the headlights, the teenager just blinked upon being mentioned by Elsie. Oh God. Cooking!? “I mean, I can probably pass you half of the ingredients you order me to get.” Maybe because he would eat the other half? That part wasn’t very clear.
Apparently, Hiro had to learn how to talk to people and how to cook. Not like they could have picked anything he was actually good at, so he knew what he was getting into. It still felt like he had ended up in the busiest of groups. “If you don’t want me to burn down the kitchen, you’ll have to keep an eye on me. And I mean that. I don’t trust myself with that stuff.” He was serious! Well… kind of.
“I guess being in Public Relations, I should be the one to go talk to the Cooking Club?” He could be at least aware of that. “If you have any suggestion regarding who should I talk to or how, it’d be welcomed.” He addressed that to Evie.
Oh! He remembered doing fish scooping as a kid. That was fun. Would it be as much now? Onto more important topics… “Yes. I think getting everyone to work in decorations would be convenient, considering we’re a small group.” Less work. Always less work.
For the rest of the conversation, Hiro leaned back on his chair and just folded his arms. For the time being, he let Yuuya come up with some interesting suggestions. “That’s definitely stuff I would like to see people doing.” Probably not himself! But watching his classmates dance clumsily and dressing up? He was definitely up for that.
“I’m okay about you starting to write that outline, Funabashi.” Hiro needed more details about his soon-to-be-had suffering. You know, some specifics about the things he had to do and such.
