"Oho? Is that a challenge I see? I might as well as do it and submit the raw to the scientific society!" Hikaru declared, hoping to somehow get a little embarrassed reaction out of Perry. As much as he want to though, he won't actually do it if she's actually against it. After all, to father like Hikaru, his children's achievements are as great as his own, although he's probably happier than when he did it himself. They're all his pride and joy. Hikaru licked Perry's cheek affectionately and continued with what he's doing.
Yuuki obviously stopped after he understood the extent of it. "Don't worry, Perry, I got it. Are you still feeling cold? The heat crystal over there apparently is safe for holding to warm you up," Yuuki told her, pointing at where Hikaru plucked the crystal from before to activate Athanor. "Either way you're totally not wrong at all. Maybe we can sell these to protect the human somewhat... or maybe not."
Alloy? "Your guess is as good as mine... not sure if they can upgrade artifact like they can with Aeterna Forge though... but for now, Hikaru..."
Hikaru let out a cold breathe at the elementite. Yuuki tossed in about three elementite for the gauntlet and... watches as the Athanor hummed loudly, a bit too loudly for taste of a dragon like Hikaru to be honest. Once it's done... the gauntlet did not came out. Instead, the crystal on the bottom changed color from orange to blue.. and suddenly breaks into data, and reconverged into shape of the gauntlet.
"...Interesting, so the crystal is both the power source and the mold."

Persephone couldn't help but laugh in response to Hikaru's declaration. "A challenge it is, then." She'd cheekily respond, declaring "I love my family, and I love you, Dad!" In response to the cheeklick though, she would giggle - tail swishing, and nuzzling him back. As she mentioned before, she didn't think them being affectionate was all that embarrassing - she was used to being doted on by everyone, and never had a reason to think anything bad of it. As far as she was concerned; even if this wasn't necessarily professional, she didn't mind showing other people how strong their father-daughter bond was!
With Yuuki's suggestion of going to the heat crystals though, Persephone would nod. She'd go over ot the heat crystal growths at the far corner of the room, the same ones that Hikaru had grabbed, and would go to grab a piece. As opposed to Hikaru though, who didn't have too much trouble snapping off one of the branches, it took Persephone a little bit of effort - with how she was, physically, much weaker than Hikaru was.
Nonetheless though, she'd manage to get a decent-sized chunk off for herself - holding it between her paws as though it were a warm cup of tea, and letting out a relaxed sigh. The warmth felt good, against her fur - it was soothing. Her ears would prick at Yuuki's response though, glancing back to him. "I was wondering more if we could make the elementite into an alloy with a stronger metal, before we use it in the Athanor..." She clarified - but after some thought, would add "Though then again, I imagine it'd be hard to melt down for alloying - since heating it up to melt it down might infuse it... Huhm..." Maybe they could do plating, instead? A Digizoid base with plates of Elementite over it?
As she pondered the possibility of ways to make the Elementite more viable, she would make her way back to Yuuki and Hikaru - watching as Hikaru began to infuse it with his ice breath. She'd peer closely to the chunks of Elementite - wondering if there would be any visible changes once it was properly infused. As Yuuki took the pieces to toss them into the Athanor though, and it started up, she couldn't help but fold her ears back against her skull from the loud noises it made - she didn't like it all that much, either.
When the humming stopped, and the crystal at the bottom began to reconstruct itself into the gauntlet in question, though - Persephone's ears would prick once more in curiosity. She'd go over to check the gauntlet out - questioning out loud "So this would be good at holding up to Dad's ice breath, then, since we infused it with ice?"

"Hmph, we'll see then~" Hikaru countered. He let out a soft 'awwww' at his daughter's declaration of love toward him and the family. "Well! Time to work! As much as this is fun we should show some degree of professionalism too, because we're KIZNA!"
Then again he guess promoting KIZNA in this non-professional way would give the society a bit of a sneak peek of what sort of team does he and Yuuki wanted to build. One without needless formalities and whatnot. So this is good, he feel. After nuzzling Perry for Homeostasis know how many times, he eventually returned to work.
"Yes," Yuuki answered to Perry "I'm not sure about that, as we doesn't really have any stronger metals at the moment.. Imagining alloy of Digizoid and Elementite is honestly something that... made me very excited you know? Maybe we can go an ask if we can mine somewhere in the Western Flatland for any Digizoid... or other kind of heavy metals so to say... But first I think we should take this to our lab," Yuuki pointed at the elementites.
As of how the effect works... "I believe so. Either way, are we done here or are we going to do some more testing?" Yuuki asked.

Persephone would nod to Yuuki's answer. "I'm honestly really excited to see how this would all work out, even if the actual do-ability of it is a bit up in the air." She'd chirp, gathering up the chunks of elementite for him. "If we could mix the elemental durability of the elementite with something more physically durable, then we could really make some sort of awesome armor or weapons for people!" She, admittedly, was more excited about the armor though - weapons were great for self-defense, but humans were always so fragile like she is, and so it always was a little bit of a worry for her whenever they'd leave with their partners on missions. If there was a way that they could suit people up before they left on dangerous treks, then it'd be less worrisome, right?
Either way, she would hum for a moment - glancing to the elementite she had gathered together, then the Athanor, at Yuuki's question. "Hm... I'm ready to move on to explore those other rooms if you guys are, but I dunno. What do you think, Dad? Think we've got a decent enough idea of how all of this works?" She'd glance over to Hikaru for his input - tail idly swishing as she added in question "And is it okay if I take a small chunk for myself? I sorta wanna read up on elementite later, on my own time!" She wasn't sure if she'd necessarily find anything that the others wouldn't - but then again, they tended to lead busy lives, whereas she usually had plenty of freetime to read and study... Doing a bit of personal research on her own time - to take some of the stress off of the others - wouldn't hurt, she'd imagine!

"Thinking of some sort of armor huh? I'm thinking of the same... armor that can at least used to protect the humans from their own Digimon's attack would be nice... so there won't be any collateral damage to the human or something similar to that basically. It's still a prototype thoughts, but at the meantime I guess we need to think more of what to add in the team store. We have like... what, three more?"
"Exploring another room might be good idea too. We still have few rooms that we haven't explored..." Hikaru commented. Although, he raised an eyebrow at his daughter asking about Elementite. Perry isn't a girl who asked a lot, and honestly it's hard for Hikaru to know what she would like him to bring as souvenir most of the time... but hearing that she wanted a chunk of the elementite, he picked up the smallest one of the bunch and handed it to her.
"There you go. You can study it as much as you want, but remember to act carefully, alright? If you want to experiment, bring it to the lab and make sure to have someone watch over you."

Ah, that's right, Persephone realized; they had that team store that they were filling out... Being that she wasn't an adventurer, she didn't tend to pay too much mind to it - but armor like this would possibly be a nice addition to it... As Yuuki said, though, the armor was still a prototype - and so it'd probably take a lot of work before they could get to where they can sell any sort of armor to other adventurers. But still... If they could figure out this armor, Persephone believed that it'd have its place in the store!
Hikaru's raised eyebrow at being asked for a small chunk, though, would quickly make Persephone grow sheepish. This wasn't necessarily a request she made for herself, as much as she made it because she wanted to help out; but she quickly realized how it could've been seen as a personal request, like this. Nonetheless though, Hikaru would be more than happy to pass her a small chunk, and would instruct her on being careful, and making sure she had a supervisor to watch over her while she experimented. Persephone would nod in understanding - "Of course, Dad; thank you..!" She'd chirp in response, nuzzling Hikaru.
Once she had the small chunk safely stored in her backpack, Persephone would take this as a chance to get out her walker - unfolding it, and settling herself in. She liked riding on her Dad's back, but she didn't want to trouble him much more by asking him about it- instead being content using her walker to help her get around a bit more. "What do you guys think will be in the next room?" She would ask Yuuki and Hikaru both, after some thought. This room had the Athanor, which was a super interesting discovery - like a mini Aeterna Forge! - but could the next rooms match or top it?

Hmmm, so she preferred using walker? Hikaru actually have no qualms letting his daughter riding on his back yet again and actually prefer it, but he guess she just doesn't want to bother her old man all that much. Hikaru nuzzled Perry's cheek in return, When she questioned what next...
"I feel it would be a storageroom or something."
"Hmmm, I feel it could be material shed, honestly." Yuuki commented.
"Material shed is interesting, but I wonder if it can be used for our artifacts?"
"Most likely not," Yuuki answered. "There is... something mystical about certain materials we found, and sadly none of these materials in here could really fit the category of awesomeness..."
"That's a pity. What's your guess, Perry?"
Either way, they opened the door... yet, contrary to their expectation, it's an empty room--not. The wall are lined with some sort of murals... and it made Yuuki's eyes widened. He looked so giddy, like a man about to unleash his inner child but also torn because he's not yet in his uniform.
"...Why Mural of all thing here? Either way, this is up to my alley, holy shit... Uh..."
He turned on his D-Nexus and called out someone.
"Hey, yeah this is Yuuki. Can you send me my items? Yeah... yeah, that's all, thanks. Um, I'll go change my clothes in the smithy for a bit. DON'T START WITHOUT ME."
And he left the room, heading toward the blacksmithy.

Persephone would listen curiously as the duo discussed what could be in the next room, and brought up the possibilities of storage rooms and material sheds. She'd tilt her head a little, thinking it over - given that this was the next door down from the Athanor, it made sense that the adjacent room could be used to store materials for it. It'd make it easier to transport materials between rooms for use, after all - though it was a disappointment that the materials would likely not be viable for the Aeterna Forge, if this was indeed a material shed.
As Hikaru addressed her, though, and asked her thoughts, Persephone would jolt from her pondering. "Oh! Uhm..." ... Persephone was quiet for a few moments as she thought it over, before she'd mention "I don't know if I have any big guesses - but some form of storage would make sense, with it being in an adjacent room to the one we found the Athanor in. Logically, they've gotta store their materials and creations somewhere, right?" Persephone would glance to the door as they gathered before it - adding "And if the storage is close to the Athanor, it'd make carrying things back and forth easier in general, though... I dunno." She shrugged a little. Anything could be behind that door, really. Anything...
... including what, at first glance, appeared to be nothing. Persephone was initially disappointed that this room was empty, but... Then she would notice the murals - murals lining the walls of the room. She noticed, too, that Yuuki seemed to react with a certain glee that made her giggle softly - that was right, he had a bit of an artistic eye, didn't he? At least, that's what she could recall. Either way, as Yuuki would call someone, and run off towards the blacksmithy to change out of his pajamas, she would giggle a little bit more loudly as she glanced over to Hikaru. "That woke him right up, didn't it?" She'd muse wryly, unable to grin with a certain hue of glee, too, in picking up on Yuuki's emotions.

"I don't doubt that," Hikaru commented. "After all, that guy really loves his historical stuff. He's bad at linguistic, but for the sake of unraveling the 'truth' of the world, and what 'mystery' the past hold, he relentlessly tried his best in learning what he's weak of. KIZNA was made to be team of adventurer simply because he love adventuring. There are a lot of mystery in this world that awaited to be unraveled, and to be brought back to the surface. He wanted to share that with all of you."
Yuuki soon returned, a bit more properly dressed. It looked as if he took a quick shower too, and is now looking rather presentable. He opened his bag of tools and began looking at the stuff on the mural. It took him about thirty minutes before he talked again finally.
"...Interesting, so apparently, these murals describes the founding of Ys City. It's written in Digimoji, but to be honest, it sounded like a story."
He pointed at one picture in particular, of how there are shapes like human descending from the sky.
"It doesn't date into the exact date, but it showed human first appearance in Digital World... here, the passage says... 'And thus descended from the sky children of destiny, linked with chosen ones down with the aurora and a water rift from the sky protected by sacred device, bringer of ill and fortunate omen both'
...Which is interesting, because apparently they already know that humans... might actually act as selfish being."
Yuuki then pointed at the mural, where humans are drawn with either a wicked eye, or something similar to stylized sun on their chest.
"...The eye of ruin or the element of glory."

As Yuuki had begun examining the murals, Persephone, too, would've been looking them over - taking photos of it all with her D-Nexus, so that she could compare them to things from her books later. Who knows what she might find? Comparing and contrasting things from history can be interesting sometimes, after all! From the imagery, to the digimoji, writing that she saw here and there... This was sort of like a cryptic time capsule - much like the other rooms, in fact, after she gave it some thought - that they were finally able to open and rediscover!
As Yuuki finally begin to speak up, Persephone would be a little startled at first - having been staring closely at one of the walls - but otherwise snapped to attention, glancing over in his direction. "Huhm... I mean... Humans are just as varied as we digimon are, which in this day and age is sort of a given, right?" Persephone began, before continuing "I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to extrapolate even back then, that there could be both good humans, and bad humans... Though then again, if this is from when they first appeared... Our understanding of each other was probably not quite as in-depth as it is now. It's possible someone could've informed them about the nature of humans, too... Hm..."
Persephone would hum as she thought it all over - following Yuuki's gestures to peer at the different relevant murals once more. Was Ys meant to be sort of like... The first example of humans and digimon living together in harmony, or otherwise humans trying to settle in the Digital World?

"Usually that's not the case when it comes to certain myth," Yuuki answered. "Usually, people called from another world are always depicted as a hero, for one reason or another. The messiah, the one who saves the world, and the predicate goes on and on... It all boils down to what circumstances were they came here. If they came for invasion then the tale would be different... if they're called to be heroes, then there won't be this passage about them being split into evil and good.
...However, the passage about the circumstances of their summoning wasn't known. I looked around, but there are nothing that describes that."
"What else did you found out?" Hikaru asked.
"That Ys is as mysterious as it is to us as it is to its founder."
"Eh...? What was that?"
Yuuki would point his flashlight toward one of the wall. It shows a city, not unlike theirs, in its glory. The shining city is embossed in the wall unlike the rest of the murals. It's made out of crystal instead rather polished rock.
"...According to the mural, the city Ys itself was not made, it's more like it bequeathed.. While the pearl digicites already exist before the city, the foundation of the city itself was formed when massive amount of data combined. It's basically a phenomenon similar to birth of a Digitama. The founder theorized that the city is 'alive', as much as a Digimon, albeit not to point of complete self-awareness."
"Wait wait wait, if you drop a bomb like that I have no idea what to think."
"If you don't know what to think, neither do I. I guess it's easier to think this city as a giant, massive supercomputer ran city with it's own AI, except I think the AI degraded to point where we can no longer fully utilize it like in the past... Even then, one thing is obvious. This city is made based on 'bond'. It thrives from power of bond, from goodwill of Digimon and Human."
"So you mean..."
"The reason why the base got slowly unlocked after we filled the city is essentially that... We're repairing the city, we're reviving certain part of the city... and we're building the trust with it. I feel like we can't communicate with it, but this city... there are too many secret in it, waiting to be unearthed."

Listening to the history and possible mythos behind Ys was certainly interesting - the idea that the city itself could be alive - or, at least, half-alive given its current state. But much like how Hikaru said, in having no idea what to think - she initially wasn't sure what to make of this either, beyond it explaining why more of the Sanctum was opening up as time went on. "Are we repairing the AI as we repair the city, then...?" She'd ask - looking over the mural of the city, and musing out loud "Maybe these rooms being the ones that are opening up - as opposed to any of the other rooms down here - isn't totally random, if so... It'd make sense if the city is... sort of... Trying to tell us about itself, even if it's not in any conscious fashion."
It was interesting, though, how the city - fueled by the goodwill and love between Digimons and Humans - was the base of a team centered around fostering good relationships. It begged the question of what else might unlock here, as time goes on - what might happen if the city's AI does, indeed, end up restored alongside the city. "What might the AI or the Sanctum look like, once we fully restore the city...?" She supposed it was something that only time would tell - but she couldn't help but wonder, nonetheless. She wondered if she could find books relevant to this sort of stuff in the library - so many things to study now... The thought of it made her tail swish with a hair of excitement!

"I wouldn't say we're repairing the AI... is it possible to repair the AI...?" Yuuki mused at the last one, more than actually questioning Perry back. "Either way, I say rather than we're repairing the AI, it's more like we're waking it up slowly. Or maybe, we're just showing credentials as the successor of the city's owners." It's not randoms? Yuuki nodded. "I believe so too. Maybe the city believed that we need to know its tale... maybe it want to be remembered... we have no idea. Still, I have to disagree that part about it not being in conscious way... It's definitely in purpose, and it definitely want to show us this... it's by conscious desire... only, I guess their logical process is like those of a kid. It's not trying to hide it from us with some level of deception or it have a plan in mind, but more to the fact that we need to slowly gain its trust... What it consider as 'important secret' will be held until we got enough of its trust..." The question was indeed interesting. ".....Hmmm, what does it looks I wonder...?" Yuuki muttered... then he looked at the end of the room. His eyes widened somewhat. "...That... the wall opened?" Before, there was a small altar on the end of the room, but there... instead, the wall seem to open outward, like a door. The altar meanwhile traveled farther to the next room. Should they entered deeper in, they would saw a room filled with crystals. It was far more futuristic looking than the rest of the city or the site. The white floor are made from metal rather than stone. Soft, blue lights run through circuity floors, focused toward the altar. The altar itself meanwhile is now combined with a monument-like part that rested in this area. And at that moment, suddenly, their D-Nexus shone, together with the monument. Stream of data immediately downloaded to their digivices, without being able to be stopped. The moment the download finished, the room itself suddenly become more active. Few screens pops up on the room. The murals outside now shine with similar glow, as if they're completely awake, and ready to tell their story without actually being translated. NEW ORDER REGISTERED MEMORIAL STELLA SECTION 07 HAS BEEN REACTIVATED [MEMORIA] ACTIVATION RATE IS NOW 7%

The idea that this city was, in a way, living and breathing... It was certainly an interesting thought. Waking up the AI definitely seemed like a better way to describe all of this, though - and the idea that they'd have to gain that AI's trust... Did this mean that in restoring the city, in showing the bonds between digimon and human alike, that they were proving themselves to it at the same time...? She was about to ask further questions - but wouldn't get much of a chance before they both would notice that something had changed about the room...
... The wall, at the far end of the room, had opened up; revealing a whole other section to this room. At first, Persephone would jolt a bit in surprise - when did that happen? - but would grow immensely curious, stepping towards where the wall had stood before, as a couple of questions lingered in her mind. "... Do you think that the AI will become smarter, as we 'wake it up'?" She'd ask, as she glanced back to Hikaru and Yuuki - adding "You say that we can't really communicate with it as it is now, but do you think that we could find a way to open an avenue of communication somewhere down the line, either as the AI is more fully awoken, or as we come to better understand it?"
It certainly seemed as though the AI was trying to sort of, lead them along - much as they discussed before, about the AI trying to show them its story. "Maybe if we could figure out a way to better communicate with it, we could ask it questions about the things we don't entirely understand yet... Ask it about things like stories about the past, if it's willing to speak." She'd muse - mostly to herself. With how old this AI must be though, it must know many things - even if its current logical process is like that of a kid. What kind of stories, did it have, that it might be able to share if they could speak to it? And this section of the room, it was beautiful; and notably more advanced, too.
As her D-Nexus - stuffed in one of the side pockets of her backpack - began to shine alongside the others' though, Persephone's attention would be drawn to both it and Yuuki's and Hikaru's D-Nexuses. Pulling it out, she would be alarmed to see the data streams being downloaded into it - seemingly not something she could interrupt, either. And once it finished, the room almost seemed to spring to life! Persephone wasn't sure what to make of all of this - watching as screens would pop up one by one - nor what exactly had happened, but... First things first, she would investigate her D-Nexus; checking to see what exactly had been downloaded onto it. As she did, though - she couldn't help but note the message displayed on the screens. "Memoria..." She'd breathe to herself. "Memorial Stella; is that... the original name of this place? This city?"
|

Post by yuuki on Jul 3, 2019 5:06:37 GMT
"That's questionable, but perhaps?" Yuuki answered. "But then again, if we can communicate with it in some way or another, it brings more question... like, what makes us different from the first few people? What causes it that we ended up being different than those people? What makes us more special than the founders, considering they explicitly said that they're unable to communicate with it in the mural."
Still, about Memoria Stella... "Memoria probably refers to the AI... and the Memorial Stella are..." Yuuki pointed at the monument. "These. Considering it said that Memorial Stella 07... I guess there are several scattered memorial Stella in Ys... but where, that's the question. "
He's not sure what to make out of it... But first and foremost...
"Considering that the memorial is now active, I'm guessing there would be some changes... Should we examine the murals again... or should we go to the city and see what's up?"
Something... might gone wrong, after all.
